Starting point is 00:00:01 And we're live. We got a lot of news going on right about now. Walmart shares really have been feeling the heat, shall we say, and it's in part, well, primarily because of threats of a boycott coming from MAGA supporters. We're going to get into that all because an heiress decided to take out a giant ad in the New York Times. And I'll tell you, conservatives, they vote with their wallets. We've seen it before, and it's happening to Walmart. The company's getting really, really nervous. CBS, another nervous company right about now. It's parent company, Paramount, is trying to do a deal with Skydance, and so they want to get this whole Trump thing kind of out of the way because, well, the FCC might have a lot of say and whether or not that merger gets approved.
Starting point is 00:00:46 So there's a lot of concern right now that they get that CBS Trump lawsuit put to bed. We're talking about $35 to $50 million that they're going to have to pay up to Donald Trump because of his allegations regarding how they manipulated the Kamala Harris sound. Well, that may be actually happening. We're going to get into all of that. Plus, New York governor, well, she's just ended her career. We talked about this yesterday. You get the Ninth Circuit Court out there saying, okay, you know what? Donald Trump can move forward and nationalize, federalize, the National Guard, if you would. But Kathy Hochel doesn't seem to get that. Now she's using taxpayer dollars to cover migrant legal fees. We will discuss. Plus, Whoopi Goldberg. Well, wow, she's really just, uh,
Starting point is 00:01:30 jump the shark. I mean, you want to talk about Kathy Hockel ending her career. How about what would be going on about this? Yeah. Yeah. I think it's very different to live in the United States in 2025 than it is to live in Iraq. Not if you're black. Not for everybody. Not if you black. Guys, let me tell you about being. Okay. We will discuss. Good to have you all here. Oh, and big news. We are again on the top 100 list for YouTube's most watch podcast. So that's all thanks to you guys and all of your help and all of your goodwill. So subscribe, share, like, comment, all that good stuff. We're off to the races here, everyone, as we look at Walmart. Walmart, feeling the heat, feeling the pressure, amid calls to boycott the company.
Starting point is 00:02:11 So this is swelling and the company's kind of freaking out. Understandably so, right? Because you've seen it before. Look what happened with Target. Look what happened with Bud Light. Look what's happened even with Disney. Although you could argue that Disney's just giving really, really, really bad content. And therefore, nobody actually wants to go and see it.
Starting point is 00:02:27 But in the case of Walmart, there are a... against it because you know this is really something when you think about the heiress christie walton who married into the family and she's you know total lib whatever she's got her causes etc she decided to get political which is kind of something the company typically does not do why well i mean christie wouldn't have all those billions of dollars she's one of the wealthiest women in the world now would she if it weren't for the conservative American customers that shop and have shopped historically since the 1960s at Walmart. So it makes it especially unsettling, shall we say,
Starting point is 00:03:12 to the conservative shoppers that go to this store when they see that the people they have helped create to become American billionaires actually really don't value them that much, because, well, they're calling on everybody to protest Trump. It's not going over well. And you know what? The company knows that they're trying to distance themselves. They're like, okay, she's not on the board.
Starting point is 00:03:33 She doesn't have anything to do with policies of the company, et cetera, et cetera. But you know what's fascinating? The company actually suffered 10 straight days of losses, which is probably the worst we've seen in two decades at the company. And it is amid concerns about this MAGA boycott. You also have tariffs out there, which are causing investors to think twice as, well, but the boycott thing, don't underestimate it. Barron's doing a big piece saying, okay, maybe the company is poised for some kind of
Starting point is 00:04:01 revival because, you know, it's been 10 days, 10 days straight. I think they saw a little bit of an upside in yesterday's session. We're closed, of course, in the stock market today because it is a holiday, ladies and gentlemen, Juneteenth. Anyway, the heiress at the center of all this is named Christy Walton. And she apparently bought this big ad. We can look at it because everybody's been tweeting about it for those demonstrations. for no kings, right? And she's also had a history of this kind of stuff, where she's funded
Starting point is 00:04:30 causes that are very anti-Trump, and this is all coming out. And again, it's setting up sort of this situation where the people that have made her family so successful are saying, well, hang on, you know, maybe this isn't fair, maybe this isn't right. Management, as I said, really trying to distance itself from this particular woman because, hey, you know, she really could take the whole thing doubt. It's like, Christy, don't bite the hand that feeds you for goodness sakes. And so again, here's a picture of her Yahoo News covering this as well. She has a 2% stake now in the company, but she did inherit a 19% stake in Walmart from her late husband, John Walton, when he passed away in that tragic plane accident. They do have one son. We're going to get to him in a moment
Starting point is 00:05:17 because he's also in the news today, very much a liberal as well, though tries to stay perhaps a little less out of the political scene. I mean, he'll leave that to mom. Here is Anapalina Luna. We had her on the other day, and she talked about exactly this. She's saying, oh, they must really, really dislike those tariffs because, you know, they've come out and said, well, we're going to have to raise prices because of the tariffs. And then you had, of course, the heiress won Miss Christy Walton taking out that full-page color ad in the New York Times. You know, that cost a pretty penny, shall we say, especially the full page and color for the New York times to basically encourage people to protest against Donald Trump. And I'll just say it's not
Starting point is 00:05:58 playing well in Peoria, so to speak. Onopalina Luna, writing that it's related to the China terrorists, that they're really mad about that, and it's something that she told us as well. Don't forget, China is believed to be playing a role in all of these protests. A gentleman by the name of Neville Singhman, Annapal Luna has subpoenaed him alongside James Comer to come and testify before Congress because he spends reportedly most of the year in China, in Shanghai, where he is reportedly being paid to push propaganda that is exactly this, right? These kinds of protests. So you can understand China doesn't really like the tariffs. They have an incentive to maybe say, hey, you know what, Neville, go ahead, go forward with that.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And that's what Anna wants to get to the bottom of. He may not show up for his testimony, in which case he would have to be held and contempt. He would have to be effectively sent to jail if he's not willing to testify. We saw that happen to ban him. We saw that happen to Peter Navarro. So if he were to step foot in this country, who knows if he will, he's going to face the consequences. But she's making this point that maybe this is all tied together. It may just be as simple as this is a brainwashed woman who really doesn't have any respect for the people.
Starting point is 00:07:13 I mean, don't get me wrong. China does not want these tariffs. Walmart, as a corporation, does not want these tariffs. Neville Sigmund with his, you know, Communist Party doesn't want the terrorists, is trying to push a Chinese agenda, but it may also come down to the simplicity of a woman who is of ample means and just doesn't like Trump, right? I mean, she's certainly entitled to her opinion, but what makes it difficult, I think, to bear, especially, you know, conservatives look at this, is we're saying, hey, wait a second,
Starting point is 00:07:45 Like, you wouldn't have that company. You wouldn't have those billions of dollars, lady, if it weren't, for conservatives backing your company. And so this is what is going to become increasingly an issue. If people follow through with this and say, I'm not going to shop at Walmart anymore, and we saw them do it at Target. We saw them do it with Bud Light. There's other options out there, right? I mean, Amazon.
Starting point is 00:08:07 And, hey, it gets delivered, easy. Now, in Walmart's defense, they are actually trying to do more online la Amazon. and they are also trying very hard to run as far as they can from Christy. Because Christy doesn't actually have any involvement in the business. She's living high on the hog, not having to do anything with the business, and they're making that clear. Okay, this lady is not one with us at Walmart. And they put out a statement, and I'm going to quote from that statement,
Starting point is 00:08:39 we condemn violence, including when it's directed towards law enforcement and the damaging of property. as a company with associates and customers in the Los Angeles region, they were referring to those protests that you saw last weekend, we remain focused on their safety and that of the impacted associates. This is according to Walmart's VP, Dan Bartlett, they also said, the advertisements from Christy Walton are in no way connected. Two, nor endorsed by Walmart, she does not serve on the board or play any role in decision-making at Walmart. So I'm glad that we cleared that up. But I'm not sure, again, that it's still going to go over well with everyday folks.
Starting point is 00:09:16 You know, it comes at a time when obviously Walmart is confronting other challenges. Yes, the tariffs might be a challenge. And so they've come forward and say, hey, you know what? We're going to have to raise prices on everything. I don't know, is that entirely the case. Rob over at 76 Research, my partner and I were doing some math on this. And when it's all said and done, you shake it out, the tariffs aren't quite as bad as you think. But, you know, hey, Walmart's like any chance we can get to raise prices, right?
Starting point is 00:09:43 Why do they want to have to take slimmer margins? You know, maybe they shouldn't have to take slimmer margins. This is a capitalist country and, you know, let the best man win, so to speak. We'll shop where we get the cheapest prices and maybe we like their politics. But, but it just shows you the tremendous amount of pressure this company is under. Donald Trump, standing out on true social the other day, Walmart should stop trying to blame tariffs as the reason for raising prices throughout the chain. Walmart made billions of dollars last year, far more than expected.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Between Walmart and China, they should, as it is said, eat the tariffs and not charge valued customers, anything. I'll be watching, and so will your customers. A threat from Donald Trump, one that Scott Besson picked up on when he was asked about it recently on NBC. Let's listen. It's big news from Walmart. It says it will start raising prices on its consumers, Mr. Secretary. as early as this month due to the tariffs.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Now, President Trump out with a very stern warning on social media saying Walmart, quote, should eat the tariffs, adding the company made far more than expected last year. Is the president asking American companies to be less profitable? I was on the phone with Doug McGill and the CEO of Walmart yesterday. And Walmart is, in fact, they are going to, as you describe it, eat some of the tariffs. That just as they did in 18, 19 and 20, the other thing, though, that we are seeing that Doug passed along to me, that with their consumers, the single most important thing is the gasoline price. Gasoline prices have collapsed under President Trump. So we are seeing that.
Starting point is 00:11:31 The other thing that will happen, that is a direct tax cut for consumers. then the transportation cost are also a big input. So let's see what happens. What you're describing was Walmart's earnings call. The other thing that companies have to do, they have to give the worst case scenario so that they're not sued. So, you know, I think overall we are seeing a decline in services inflation. And I, you know, we saw inflation come down for the first time in four years.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Well, you know, in my conversation with former vice president, Mike Pence, he says he sees it. He's like, Walmart, you're going to have to eat them. So maybe they'll affect earnings. That could have an effect, of course, on stock price at the stock price as well. But it's remarkable. I mean, again, when you look at these numbers, guys, and I know that they ticked up a little bit yesterday, but you look at 10 consecutive trading days of losses. They have not seen that in 20 years.
Starting point is 00:12:29 You're going to go all the way back to June of 2004. So this is a big deal. Okay. it's a big deal. They're suffering. They're feeling the heat. And you know what? Maybe Christie should have thought this one through. Maybe just a little bit better, right, before deciding to take out the full page ad. I mean, if she actually sees a suffering of her own personal wealth, does that actually register? Probably not, because at some point, I think she's worth like $18 billion. Like, at what point do you actually feel it, right? I'm guessing,
Starting point is 00:12:59 you know, she's not counting her pennies, so to speak. She's 76 years old. She is not in involved in the company. She's not involved in any of the company's trusts, et cetera. They've been very clear about that. But don't forget, she married one of Sam Walton's sons. Okay, so John was the son, and thus she inherited some of his wealth. Her son, of course, inherited a lot of the wealth as well when he passed. If you take a look at this nifty family tree that the Wall Street Journal put out, I was looking at this. So basically, you have Sam who married Helen, right? And they had five kids, forgive me, four kids. John married Christy, who we were just talking about. And she gave birth to a son who is also in the news right now
Starting point is 00:13:41 for his liberalness. Okay. So, you know, it's funny how apparently like Buffett's son is with him on his liberalness. And it's like great, you know, like, why don't you make the money. Look what happens to the next generation. That's why I keep saying, you know what? The U.S. needs to get tougher, right? If we don't, if we don't, I'm going to use Donald Trump's expression. China's going to eat our lunch. China's going to become the next USA. And we're we'll be lucky to be France, thank you very much. I mean, they got good food, and maybe that's about it. Christy's donations, they tend to be extremely liberal since 2020 federal records show that she donated more than $500,000 for the Lincoln Project. You know that one. That's the conservative
Starting point is 00:14:20 group. It's very, very, very anti-Trump. She hosted a fundraiser for them in Jackson Hole, or forgive me for Kamala Harris's presidential campaign out in Jackson Hole, and she's very philanthropic. That's how she spends her days on environmental stewardship, as well as, quote, economic development and community support through a group called Innovations, Alumbra. Is this like a Spanish reference? I don't know. Quote, my interest is in investing in systems that bring positive change to social, environmental, and economic health.
Starting point is 00:14:54 This is what she says on the group's website. So she's a philanthropist, and she bred a philanthropist as well. So this is her son, Lucas, and he's putting $15 million, billion, forgive me, dollars. I think he's got like 38 from his dad. Again, it must be nice, to put into environmental causes. He apparently brought over the head of his philanthropy team and has them now working on these new investments. You know, his get three priorities, like any good air, two billions of dollars should have,
Starting point is 00:15:30 ocean conservation, regenerative agriculture, and clean energy. So these are the core sort of foundations of something he's got called Builders Vision. He founded it eight years ago. It serves as his quote family office. So this is what he's investing in. He wants this impact investment fund. He kind of sounds a little bit like his mom. Now, he hasn't weighed in on any of the political stuff. And as far as we know, he's not terribly political. But you know, you can judge. based on his ESG desires. I thought ESG was over. Didn't we actually finish all that? Didn't we decide that we actually need to invest in things that are going to turn a profit? I mean, he believes he can. And you know what? Hey, you know, more power to him.
Starting point is 00:16:15 If he wants to spend all that money chasing a dream, I don't know, as I'd invested it, thank you very much. But, you know, people with all this money, as I said, may not be counting their pennies. Howard Buffett, he is the grandson of Warren Buffett. According to this new article in the Financial Times just out today. He has written a book on social value investing, and he sees, quote, no reason why all rich people couldn't follow suit. I know lots of families that have tried to integrate this in their approach to their work, in part because, you know, boils down to how innovative you are
Starting point is 00:16:47 and how willing you are to take those risks. Again, I would just say I thought we sort of went through that, and I think the conclusion was, as much as Larry Fink wanted that to happen, right? And BlackRock was all over that. Let's do ESG and DEI. What was discovered was at the end of the day, you just need to earn your investors some kind of interest on their investment, right? And if it's not a good investment, then you shouldn't be doing it. Now, hey, if you can get the two things to go hand in hand and you get to follow your dream and your passion and you simultaneously are making money at it, then great, all power to you. But it's not clear that that actually works so.
Starting point is 00:17:29 well, right? We've discussed this a lot of my company, 76 research. I encourage you guys to look at this. We have a Father's Day pick out that is up 23 percent and we believe is actually poised for more growth. You can get all of these picks. If you go to 76rese.com, use code word dollar today. I'll tell you, we've got another heiress to talk about because the Paramount Eris is up against it. She stands to make $2 billion if she sells her company, Paramount, which includes CBS News, you know, 60 Minutes, 2-1 Skydance. Larry Ellison, says. runs that one, but it's not clear the deal's going to go through in part because they can't seem to come to any kind of terms here on this agreement with Donald Trump and how much he should
Starting point is 00:18:10 be paid because of his allegation that they were trying to manipulate the election by manipulating the sound from Kamala Harris. That story coming up. Convierte your passion in a new business with Shopify and bathe records of ventas with the form of pay with a better conversion of the world. Has you heard of the best? The mejor conversion of the world. The incredible system of Pago of Shopify facilita the
Starting point is 00:18:32 free free. In the website and the radio social and in quite a lot. That is music for your eyes.
Starting point is 00:18:39 No, you do you guys. Your business will a super-exit with Shopify. Empecies your period
Starting point is 00:18:44 of a per year for a euro at a month on Shopify dot's bar records.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Trump country is booming. We're building hiring and winning in America because energy tax credits
Starting point is 00:18:54 put America first, bringing manufacturing jobs home and creating a stronger middle class. Jobs and factories will come roaring back into our country. More production
Starting point is 00:19:04 at home will mean stronger competition and lower prices for consumers. And America's comeback depends on American energy. President Trump, keep what works. Don't repeal energy tax credits. Paid for by Built for America. Okay, all these eras is in the news today. We've got another one to talk about Sherry Redstone. Sherry Redstone is trying to get a deal done with Skydance. And it is believed, and this is not really fair, right, but it's believed that if they can't actually resolve things with Donald Trump vis-a-vis 60 minutes and the lawsuit he leveled against them, then they're not going to get to first base in terms of FCC approval for the deal. But simultaneously, you see, there's a catch here. If they do settle for a lot of money, the FCC can come back just as they did
Starting point is 00:19:53 to Disney and Bob Iger and ABC and say, hey, you know, nobody really trusts you. So what are you doing in the news business anyway? And look, here's proof. You just settled. Georgie Porgy's thing, Stephanopoulos on the weekend for 16 million bucks, right? So now if they settle this for 35 or it's reported even $50 million, can the FCC then say, hey, you know, forget it. We're not going to really renew any of these affiliations all around the country with your CBS affiliates because it is clear your news division is so freaking messed up that you had to settle this massive thing. So it's like, damned if you do, damned if you don't. And you got this heiress there, Sherry, who's like, for goodness sakes, can we just sell this thing and move on with it? Because she's got some big tax
Starting point is 00:20:35 bills, apparently in the hundreds of millions of dollars coming up on the Redstone estate. She needs to get moving with this thing, not to mention. Like the company's basically done, right? Like unless they find a way to innovate, unless they find a way to move forward. Here's a picture of Sherry Redstone. Trump people appear to be willing to settle for less, but even that amount worries the paramount people. This is the reported $35 million that might be the amount of money that is agreed to for that CBS Trump suit. Now, this is a story in the New York Post today by my friend Charlie Gasparino, great reporter, and he's basically got some sources saying, look, you know, Trump is holding up for the $50 million. Maybe they could get to the $35 million, but you get a problem here
Starting point is 00:21:21 because people are saying, well, could that actually open her to bribery allegations? The Democrats are actually threatening that, you guys. They're saying, okay, if CBS makes this settlement, is it actually, this mergers is going to come back to haunt them? Because they know that she stands to make a lot of money, $2 billion actually. She's recused herself officially for many of these negotiations, even though it's kind of obvious she wants it to go through. And so now they're in this kind of just.
Starting point is 00:21:51 No man's zone, right? No man's land. They got the whole mutiny going on at CBS where the executive producer decides to resign. And then his talent, what's his name, Scotty Pelly there, goes on air and says, ah, you know, it's all better. And now, and now Leslie Stahl is also sounding the alarm. Another longtime stalwart of the 60-minute stable.
Starting point is 00:22:17 You can't make it up. This is a disaster for, It's a disaster for CBS. It's a disaster for the entire news division for 60 minutes. And it all goes back to this moment in time. You know it. I know it. The president of the United States and his lawyers know it.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Watch. But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region. by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. We're not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Ooh, okay. Well, it was like magic, right? That's what you call a good editor. I mean, you got to give him some props. Whoever edited that one, he's a guy's like a magician because he took Kamala Harris's word salad and actually turned it into something rather coherent. I mean, credit where credits do.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Just saying, just saying, anyway. So because of all of this, and because of a few other things along the way, CVS News is in a very, very tough spot. And Sherry Redstone needs to get this deal done. done. She's damned if she does. She's damned if she doesn't. What happens to the company? I'll tell you, I would not be investing in it right now. I'm not sure that the deal gets done. And even if it does, I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, they're threatening. The Democrats are threatening to open up these
Starting point is 00:24:04 bribery allegations. It's something. I mean, it's perfect for them, right? Because then they're going to say, oh, you know, Trump got $35 or $50 million, whatever it turns out to be, all because maybe he would say, okay with the FCC's approval of the deal. So in some ways, you know, if you're Trump, You're like, you're sitting there telling, hey, hey, Brandon, Brennan Carr, head of the SEC, maybe give that extra super duper scrutiny. And then coupled with the fact that, hey, Brandon can say, gee, you guys aren't a very good news division because you had to pay the 35 or 50 million bucks, you have a bit of a mess, a good old-fashioned mess and one that Leslie Stahl, one of the 60 Minutes reporters, is speaking out about
Starting point is 00:24:43 all as the auto-pen hearings go on right now on, on Capitol Hill. We're going to get to that in a moment. But first, Leslie Stahl, taking on Sherry Redstone. This was interesting. I mean, the inmates really run in the asylum, because when you're going to sound off about your boss over and over again, I think at some point your boss is going to say, gee, this isn't really working for us, right? You had the head of CB, Wendy McMahon, and then you had Bill Owens, the EP at 16 minutes. You had Scott Pelly knocking them all on the air. And now 60 Ministry reporter Leslie Stahl says she's angry with Sherry, Redstone. Very angry. Kind of furious because somehow her First Amendment rights are being threatened. And she does not know if basically
Starting point is 00:25:28 you can ever have a news division that's for profit again. Here we go. Here's the quote. She spoke to the New York Times, I guess, in this particular, forgive me. Is this a New York Times? Yeah, I think she was talking to them in a podcast. Quote, to have a news organization come under corporate pressure to have a news organization told by a corporation, do this, do that with your story, change this, change that, don't run that piece. I mean, it steps on the First Amendment, it steps on the freedom of the press. Stahl said, quote, it steps on what we stand for. It makes me question whether any corporation should own a news operation. It's very disconcerning. Very disconcerning. But, you know, I'll tell you what was disconcerning. The fact that she was never actually
Starting point is 00:26:13 willing to follow up on all those tips about the Hunter Biden laptop and sat there with a straight face trying to tell one Donald Trump that he was completely misguided and completely wrong because there was no way that that was anything other than misinformation right fed to you spoon fed courtesy of rudy juliani and the russians remember watch and you think it's the biggest issue to campaign i think it's this i think it's one of the biggest scandals i've ever seen and you don't cover it you want to talk about Well, because it can't be verified. You want to talk about insignificant things.
Starting point is 00:26:47 I'm telling you. Of course it can be verified. Excuse me, they found a laptop. Leslie. Leslie. Can't be verified. The laptop. Why do you say that?
Starting point is 00:26:57 Even the family has the family on the laptop. Can't be verified. Can't be verified. He's going to be hiding. For five days, he's got into hiding. He's preparing for your debate. Oh, it's taken him five days to prepare. I doubt it.
Starting point is 00:27:11 I doubt it. Okay, go ahead. All right. So let's get back to the name. Let's get back. Let's get back to business. Anyway, that was quite a moment. And I would just say this.
Starting point is 00:27:22 You know what? That's bogus. I mean, look, I used to work there. Funny, we're talking about Walmart. I can remember once calling Walmart in my CBS evening news piece a dollar store. Because on Wall Street, that's what analysts refer to Walmart as. It's a dollar store. You just call them dollar stores.
Starting point is 00:27:39 And it's one big bracket, right? And you'd put Target in there in Walmart. Walmart and the dollar stores in there. And it's because they're sort of discount stores. And I got a call from management saying, oh my gosh, did you just refer to Walmart as a dollar store? You know, they are our biggest sponsor. Indeed, they had a big sponsorship at the time. And I'm like, yeah, that's what they're called. That's like, you know, look, I came from a Wall Street background. That's what analysts called them, all right? And they were like, oh my gosh. And they were so terrified that Walmart was going to call and be all upset.
Starting point is 00:28:12 just say that, you know, as much as Leslie wants to pretend, like management never, ever cares, that's not entirely true. Okay? Again, don't bite the hand that feeds you. I think that that exists within news organizations is one of the reasons why we're so happy to be over here, right? Because we don't have to deal with that, you know what, anymore. But she's dealt with it. Come on. You know, she's a big girl. I'm sure she has had her share of run-ins before. But maybe it just never got to this level. It never got to the point where you had to have the present in the news division, the head of the 60 Minutes show, resign. You've never had that happen before. And now Sherry Redstone is like, because you know what she has to, wants to save her company. And it's not
Starting point is 00:28:56 clear that she's going to be able to, again, because she's damned if she does and she's damned if she doesn't. So I would just say this entire deal right now is very much in jeopardy, which means the future of 60 minutes and CBS News is in jeopardy because I'm not sure that financially they're going to to make it. The other thing I'd point out is, even if it does happen, they still may not make it because they're talking about doing a total redo of 60 minutes if this deal closes. Larry Allison's son, who owns Skydance, is working with a company called, interestingly, Red Bird Partners. And they're talking about bringing in a former NBC guy, Jeff Schallel, I believe, to run and rehabilitate the news division at CBS. Okay, here we go. It's actually, this was in New York Post.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I believe. So they're going to face this redo. So Skydance is continuing to drop plans for massive restructuring in the media properties, including CBS, once considered the crown jewel of the Redstone Empire for its top-rated shows, sports and influential news programming such as 60 minutes. And this would actually be really kind of funny because Redbird Capital, which is being brought in to run the news division by Skydance is run and operated by none other than one. You see who I'm looking at? You see who I'm looking at? I mean, he knows a thing or two about the news business.
Starting point is 00:30:23 He really does not like Donald Trump, one Jeff Zucker. So this news division is totally damned if it does. Damned if he, I mean, there is like no way out, okay? if they do the deal and they settle for $35 or $50 million, paramount, with Donald Trump, for the library or whatever, and maybe they'll throw in some public service announcements they announced, too, with that. If they do that deal, well, then the FCC can come back and say, gee, we're not going to allow for affiliations, all these affiliates. Why are they paying you all these fees? Because your programming is garbage, and you know how we know it's garbage?
Starting point is 00:31:02 We got the proof. You just had to settle this deal because you tried to influence a president election. Like, they have that on record. So that's a big problem. The flip side is the Democrats are threatening these bribery charges. So they're going to say, well, Sherry Redstone, the only reason you guys did this and the board is terrified they're going to get sued is because you wanted to get this deal done. Now, if they don't get the deal done, they're going to continue to wallow in nothingness. Okay? So they're not going to have any money. They're not going to have any capital. Like the place is, you know, kaput. And then again, if they get the, the deal done, you got Jeff Zucker running the news division with Redbird Capital and the other
Starting point is 00:31:43 NBC guys. So I don't think that's going to go well. You have only to look at CNN. Hey, maybe he's planning some big, you know, revamp that we just haven't thought of yet. But again, I think the action is over here. Is it not? Make sure you subscribe, share like. Oh, we're top 100 again. What do you know? It's very exciting here on YouTube, just little old us, right? So the, the Medium is changing. And I do think if Jeff gets in there, he's probably going to make a decision that he's not going to pay the big salaries of Leslie Stoller, Scott Pellier, or any of these people. 60 minutes in and of itself is a worthwhile brand. CBS is a brand, but you're going to have to rehabilitate big time, okay? Because this company is facing a heck of a lot of trouble.
Starting point is 00:32:28 You know who else is facing a heck of a lot of trouble? So much trouble that they're not even showing up there at the auto pen hearings that are happening as we speak. the Democrats, the Democrats, because they are refusing, absolutely refusing to admit that they have any, any blame in not calling out Joe Biden when it was so darn clear that he did not have the mental capacity, frankly. I mean, we've seen all the tape. I'm not going to make you watch it again, but we've seen all the tape. We knew what was going on. You knew what was going on. And even Robert Herne, who was going on, remember when they were going to try and haul him for it? I mean, they charged Donald Trump, right, with taking those documents, those classified documents out of the White House. But they made a very deliberate decision not to do that with Joe Biden. Why?
Starting point is 00:33:14 Oh, because he couldn't stand trial. And everybody would just think he was this old, poor, confused man. So it wasn't worth moving forward. I mean, if that doesn't tell you what's going on. I don't know what does, something that Josh Hawley astutely pointed out. Let's watch. You know, the visual, sometimes it's really is true. A picture speaks louder than words.
Starting point is 00:33:33 it's worth a thousand words. And here, all you have to do is look over at this side of the dais to see that the stone wall continues. I mean, from the party that lied to this nation for four years, let's just take a look at some of the things that our colleagues said on the Democrat side when their own Justice Department was concluding that Joe Biden, who, let's not forget, illegally took classified documents,
Starting point is 00:33:58 illegally took classified documents and kept them in his garage, in his freezer. I mean, Lord knows where. He certainly didn't know. Their own Justice Department interviewed the guy and concluded he could not form the requisite mental state to stand trial.
Starting point is 00:34:14 He did not have the mental ability to stand trial. And what did our Democrat colleagues say? Vice President Harris says, oh, no, no. The way that the Her report characterized the president's so wrong, the president's demeanor is totally fine.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Senator Smith, what the Hur said about the president not remembering his son's death? So unfair. Senator Kane said this is grandstanding. Senator Federman said it's just cheap shots. You had other senators saying Senator Ossoff in February of 2024, saying, and I quote, I found the president to be sharp, focused, impressive, formidable, and effective. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:49 In June, 2024, Congressman Jeffreys insists Biden was, and I'm quoting again, incredibly strong, forceful, and decisive. Come on. Where are they now? they don't want to answer for any of those quotes now. They lied to us for four years, and we know they lied. They know they lied. It's why they're not here. They don't want to answer a single question.
Starting point is 00:35:10 They can't bear to show their faces in public. Kind of says it all, right? Totally says it all. So in our Coran saying something similar yesterday, you know what? The fact that they're not even here, that's an admission of guilt. Look, they're going to sit there, though, until they're blue in the face and pretend something else entirely, which is frightening in and of itself. I mean, look at the woman that they're holding up, possibly is a next president of the United States.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I mean, the minute you hear her talk, it's game over, but nonetheless, this is their new prize possession. AOC, watch out. Jasmine Crockett's on the case, and she's defending. She is really defending. Once again, one Joe Biden on another failed CBS experiment, Katie Couric's show. I still stand by the decision to stand with President Joe Biden, and then ultimately standing with Vice President Kamala Harris. And I'll tell you why. The average person has not been given the level of access that the average member of Congress has to the president. I never saw anything
Starting point is 00:36:12 in Joe Biden that made me wonder whatsoever. Okay, that makes no sense. Okay, so she's trying to say that because she has better access, that somehow she's not seeing things. So I would just say that, you know what? When we did get to see Joe, which was pretty irregular, let's admit, right? Like he was never out and about, he wasn't talking and bringing cameras into cabinet meetings and talking with the press nonstop. I mean, you very rarely heard from him. And when you did hear from him, you saw something that wasn't really all there, right? Like, again, we're not going to go back and watch the tape today, but you know what I'm talking about. And so for her to sit there and say, well, she's got special access, and she actually got to see him more somehow.
Starting point is 00:36:56 and that he was really just all fine and dandy. I mean, she's lying through her teeth, lying through her teeth. That's why she did support Kamala Harris. And it's not that I was with Joe Biden every single day, that's for sure. But I will tell you that I will take a broken or however they want to describe Joe Biden over Donald Trump. Even if you're saying that there was a mentally deficient Joe Biden, I know that he absolutely had a mental acuity that is supreme when it comes to, to comparing him to Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Wow. Really? And you say it so eloquently, too, I will add. I mean, look, but you know, she's going back to the same old, same old, similar to what you hear on the view these days where it's all about one thing and one thing only. Am I right? I'm right. Watch.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Because when you think about it, Kamala Harris, light years ahead of Donald. as it relates to qualifications, as it relates to her overall resume, and as it relates to the fact that she was a lot younger. Everybody said that they wanted to get rid of Joe Biden because he was too old. Then you had a younger, qualified, non-felon candidate, and somehow the people still chose the old white man.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So like for me, I don't think it was ever about that. Hmm. No, for her, it's very much, It's about one thing and one thing only, okay? And that's the narrative she's going to push because for whatever reason she thinks it works for her. But let's not forget. According to Josh Hawley, Secret Service told him
Starting point is 00:38:37 that Joe Biden was getting lost in his closet every morning, for goodness sakes. And yet they stood by him. And now they won't even show up when we're trying to find out why it is that nobody was invoking the 25th Amendment. I mean, the 25th should have been invoked. You know, they may have actually gotten another four years.
Starting point is 00:38:54 if they had primaried him, at least, I mean, put somebody who can, who can speak, not Kamala Harris, okay, up as a candidate. And you might actually have a shot at things. But no, they didn't. And they are where they are now for a reason. We're talking about independence here on the show. We love being independent. It means we've got some wonderful sponsors, including our friends over at American Heart for Gold.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Go check out Trish loves gold today up to $15,000,000, $1,000 for qualifying offers. Call them at 1844-495. You can text trash to 65532 today for more. Again, Don pointing out gold down, Bitcoin up today, very interesting, different kinds of investments. And I like them both for very different reasons. You can find out more about what I like. If you go to 76research.com, my financial research company that I started with very dear friend, Rob Horton, spent a couple decades on Wall Street picking stocks and he's very good at it, very good at it.
Starting point is 00:39:48 So we make a good team over there. You can get our Father's Day pick. it's actually up some 23% and climbing at 76 research.com. Just use code word dollar. Kathy Hochel is totally ending her career. I mean, you get the feds moving in, right? You get the Ninth Circuit court saying basically Trump can federalize the National Guard when you have lawmakers that are refusing, absolutely refusing to enact and carry out the law. And not only are they refusing in New York now, they're doubling down and they're putting taxpayer money. I mean, hey, they think they're going to get a salt deduction? Are you kidding me with this kind of stuff? That's where your money's
Starting point is 00:40:25 going? I don't think so. Kathy Hockel coming out and saying this, it is so disgustingly political. And I don't get it because I'm telling you, her polling is underwater all through the state and she just sunk herself. This is the end. Mark my words. Governor Hockel will be no more because in most of New York, this is not going to fly. Let's cue the tape for one governor of New York, Kathy Hochle. That are walking out of this courthouse taken away from their families. They don't have the attention. They don't have the lawyers.
Starting point is 00:41:02 And that's why the state of New York is providing $50 million to cover legal services for people are fining themselves in this situation. And she had more to say about her trip to Little Haiti and how frightened everybody was there. Let's listen in. Do you want to know what I really think? Please. It's bull-
Starting point is 00:41:24 How dare they take an elected official who's been going down there for weeks to escort people who are afraid to walk into a courthouse in the United States of America? So Brad Lander has stepped up to be a guiding help for them. And this is what happens to them. What the hell is happening to this country?
Starting point is 00:41:46 I just left Little Haiti. people are being traumatized, small businesses. People walking down the street. When I was there in August, the streets were mobbed. People were walking down the sidewalks. There were vendors everywhere. The traffic was crowded. Today, there was silence.
Starting point is 00:42:10 People are living in fear. One woman just told me the ICE agents are going in and out of buildings there. So the reason for this is because the Supreme Court has just allowed the Trump administration to end a parole program that was put in for some migrants by the Biden administration. The lower court had blocked the move to cancel temporary temporary protections for about 500,000 people, actually somewhere around 532,000 non-citizens that were being brought in from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. And so the Trump administration said, you know, why were they doing this? Like, why were we having all of the
Starting point is 00:42:46 532,000 people? I mean, you can guess why, right? Again, it's political. Back to the Back in the day, Obama was deporting 1,000 people a day, and he said he had to because he had to enforce the law. And the way the law stands is that the federal government is in charge of making sure that the naturalization process is on the up and up. And you can't have people just coming in, in, in, and in, and bleeding the system dry. So these were his words, okay, he was all over this. And now, because Donald Trump wants to do it, again, it's political, very political. So they're saying, not allowed, not okay. And we're going to take taxpayer dollars to try to fight this.
Starting point is 00:43:21 from a legal perspective. But good luck, guys, because the Supreme Court, just late last month, early this month, allowed for the Trump administration to revoke all those temporary protections to the 532,000 non-citizens from all those different countries. And so because of that, you now have ICE saying, look, if you're here illegally and if you've committed a crime, you're out. And they're going around and they are trying to make these arrests. But don't tell, you know, the New York City comptroller that.
Starting point is 00:43:51 who's trying to get his 60 minutes of fame because he's now running for mayor in New York City. Take a look at Brad Lander. You saw this. He got coughed and hauled away. You don't have to. I'm not obstructing. I'm standing right here in the hallway. I ask to see the judicial warrant. You're arresting the court. You don't have the authority to arrest U.S. citizens asking for a judicial warrant. Hi, I'm the controller's press secretary. Where are you taking the controller of the New York? The city of New York. With what authority?
Starting point is 00:44:35 They take him right out in the elevator. They have sent to release him. By the way, none of this got violent in any way. I should point that out. We didn't see anything like we saw in New Jersey. Remember where, um, La Monica! You know, it was like full force.
Starting point is 00:44:55 stomach ahead, you know, ramming through the ice agents and now faces 17 years in prison because, well, she was impeding law enforcement. And according to the tape, they have assaulting law enforcement. Anyway, at least Defonik, the representative from New York, is all over this. She may be the next governor of New York. You know what? She should run for a governor of New York because she could take Kathy Holke a lot like that. She really could.
Starting point is 00:45:22 She said $50 million of New York is harder and taxpayer dollars. are being used for illegal migrants, legal fees, because Kathy Hochel puts illegals first, New York. Last, her failed leadership in New York is on display. According to one Elise Stefano, she's tweeting that out. I mean, it's really pretty unbelievable. What I would just say is this. Yes, it's all politics.
Starting point is 00:45:43 It's all theater, except for the fact that 20 million people came here. And we don't really know who's here. And Donald Trump was elected, winning both the electoral college. right? And the popular vote on two main issues. One was the economy and inflation and the other was immigration. And so he has promised to clean up all these big cities, including places like New York City, including places like L.A., including places like Chicago, very blue cities, incidentally, that don't want ice there. Now, I ask you, like, why don't they want ice there? It's kind of weird, all right? It's a little bit weird. Because I don't know why you,
Starting point is 00:46:25 you would want people in your community that you can't account for that may have committed a crime. And so it's just gotten so wild. But he put the order out, you know, this week on truth social, saying he was all over this, Donald Trump intending to actually enact the largest deportation operation of people who are here illegally in history. But you know what? He's got to beat Obama for it. Because Obama has the crown, huh, so to speak, on that one. All right? Obama is the guy who, was deporting more people than we had ever, ever, ever seen. He's also saying, listen, you know what, we need ICE. We need folks that are working hard to actually shore this whole thing up. I mean, don't forget, they've been despised, like just kind of dehumanized by many on the left. And he's
Starting point is 00:47:14 making the point of completely, totally inappropriate. And that we can't have this kind of third world dystopia. And it's a fair criticism, right? It's a very, very fair criticism. I will say this. You know, you got Letitia James and company out there. You've got Kathy Hochle. They're all suing. I don't think they're going to get anywhere. And the reason they're not going to get anywhere, you know, all these states, just to rattle them off, all these liberal states, the reason they're not going to get anywhere, guys, is because already we're seeing the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals saying, hey, we're going to side with Donald Trump. And we're expecting that final, like sometime within the next 24 hours.
Starting point is 00:47:53 It does seem, according to the testimony that we heard earlier in the week that the Ninth Circuit is like, yeah, you know what? Gavin Newsome, you got all upset and your nose out of joint because Donald Trump offered to come in and actually intervene where you wouldn't. And you got mad about that. But isn't that power that lies with the federal government?
Starting point is 00:48:13 In other words, if the law's the law, and they're there trying to enforce the law, and you don't want them enforce them the law, we can go back to 1962, Alabama and George Wallace, the law is the law, right? And if you have a law on the books and you're choosing as governor of the state to not enforce it, then that is a moment when you're going to actually have to federalize the National Guard. And he was, oh, furious about it. But I'm telling you, he's not going to win this. Already, the three judge panel sounding very skeptical of
Starting point is 00:48:41 California's arguments that President Trump should return control the National Guard to the troops in the state. Because that's just not the way the law works. We know that. because guess what? You get something called Title 10, US code 12406, committed to memory, everyone. This is the federal statute that allows for the president to, quote, call into federal service members and units of the National Guard, in such numbers as he considers necessary to execute. Imagine that, the laws of the United States of America. So again, do you guys want to change it?
Starting point is 00:49:09 You go change the law. The law is the law. And we can go through that too. We've been through it on this show, the Constitution, whether you're looking at the supremacy clause, the Commerce Clause, the naturalization clause, what? There's a whole bunch of clauses. It's very clear that the federal government, if they get any power at all, they have power over our borders and power over who is in this country.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Thank you very much. So take that, Kathy Hokel. You're just going to have to deal with that. Take that, Leticia James. We know on Latisha. That's a whole other story. Tisha may be facing all kinds of problems, right? On the mortgage fraud, a scandal that is never ending. A quick shout out here for some of our friends over at American for Prosperity, AFP. We have been looking at the house trying to deal with all of the challenges of getting something through in the way of tax cuts. And we were just talking about it was really not fair that New York get their salt deduction. But I'll tell you, whatever happens, I do hope, and I do want to make sure that we get an extension of those tax cuts.
Starting point is 00:50:20 And we need an extension of those tax cuts, ladies and gentlemen, because they were so critical. I can't state that enough. They were so critical to the success of this country. Were they not? I mean, that's what we saw. I mean, right now, we also just heads up. Medicare, Social Security allegedly going broke earlier than thought as, again, they're trying to put some of these rising health care costs into perspective.
Starting point is 00:50:44 this relates so much to immigration because it's all tied together. You can't have 20 million people come in and drain the system when the system can't even afford itself, right? So if we're going to be insolvent on Social Security, how's that going to work? It gets back to why you need the right economic policy and you need the right border policy. Again, the two things he campaigned on.
Starting point is 00:51:03 If you're interested in this and want to learn more and maybe want to get involved in some kind of grassroots effort, I encourage you go check out our friends at protectprosperity.com today because we need to make sure they get those things through. I'm telling you, there's a lot riding on it for our economy, for sure. I know you don't watch the view, but we have to talk about this. We have to talk about this, guys, because Whoopi Goldberg just outdid herself. Before we do, another quick shout-up for one of our advertisers.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Again, this is part of being independent. We love this because, you know what? You know, I'm independent over here, and I get to take my vitamins, and I get to keep my vitamin D levels up. Balance in nature. Code word Trish, 35% off. Go check them out because there's tons of testimonials on there. I'm not the only one. I take the fruits and veggies. Again, it's, it's, you know, important to take your vitamins, to drink your water, to live a healthy lifestyle, to eat right, to exercise all of this stuff. But I get it. It's kind of hard. You know, we're all on the run. You can't always eat perfectly.
Starting point is 00:52:07 I try. I try, right? You know, but it's not always the easiest thing. to do. We got takeout last night. I just wasn't up for cooking. But anyway, this is one way to kind of help supplement and make sure that you're getting the right nutrients. Call them at 1-800-246-8751. Use my name. It helps the show. It helps you. You get 35% off plus free shipping plus free money-back guarantee. So again, balance in nature.com. Check them out today. What be Goldberg really just jumped the shark. Okay. I'm using a happy days expression. It was when Fonzie, like you knew, that the episodes were basically coming to an end and the series was really ending when he did that move on the motorcycle, you know, jump in the shark. So it's become a common expression as a result
Starting point is 00:52:52 of that. But this was really kind of unbelievable because she is trying to suggest that things are so bad here in the United States that my gosh, she'd rather live over there in the Middle East where women have literally no rights and have to wear a burqa. You saw the woman doing the news the other day that situation. By the way, full on burqa, right? Because, well, I guess no man is allowed to look at wife, whatever. I mean, it gets me mad. I remember taking an international relations class Columbia years ago, and actually there was talk even back then. This was probably in 1999 of what Osama bin Laden, et cetera, were capable of doing, and it was actually really alarming. And I remember being quite nervous at the time because I did live in New York City. It's neither
Starting point is 00:53:39 here nor there, but one of the things that always has bothered me, and I safe. this, dare I say the word feminist? I consider myself a feminist. The left is completely taken over that term in a really manipulative, bad, political sort of way, because it means something different than I think it should. It means that you care about equality for women, and you value women, and you know I do as a woman, and by the way, as the mother of daughters. So there are things that culturally, you know, they say, oh, it's just their way of life. I'm sorry. Like, if you don't value women, then I'm just never going to get there. I'm just not.
Starting point is 00:54:19 But Whoopi sees it very differently, incredibly differently. Let's go to the sound that is making the rounds. People are just stunned by. At this moment, ladies and gentlemen, people are now calling for Whoopi Goldberg to leave the show for good. We'll see if she gets put on, you know, suspension or something that's happened before when Terry Moran actually wound up losing his job for some of his comments. But this is just wacky stuff.
Starting point is 00:54:42 It's not even like she's taking a minute to president here. She's kind of just off and left field and acting really like incoherent. Let's play the tape. It is not even the same. I couldn't step-lovering this outfit. That's not what you mean to say. It is the same. No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:54:59 The year 2025 in the United States is nothing like if I step foot wearing this outfit in Toronto right now. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I can't have my hair showing. I can't wear a skirt. I can't have my arms out. I'm telling you. I literally said it was up to the Iranian people.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Yes, it is up to them. And that's why I am saying that it is the same. So that's why I said you weren't saying what I heard was not what you meant. I think it's very different to live in the United States in 2025 than it is to live in Iran. Not if you're black. Not for everybody. Not if you're black. Guys, don't go to Tehran.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Do not anyone at the table. Listen, let me tell you about being in this country. This is the greatest country in the world. But, yeah, I know that. I know that. And we all know that. But every day, we are worried. Do we have to be worried about our kids?
Starting point is 00:55:53 They are not big deals. And I don't mean to say they're not big deals to you because that's not what I meant. And they are not doing well there either. They are not doing well in Iran. They are not educated. They cannot properly. I'm talking about here. Nobody wants to diminish the very real problems we have in this country.
Starting point is 00:56:10 That is no one's intent. But I think it's important we remember there are places much darker than this country and people who deserve rights. Listen, not everybody feels that way. Not everybody feels that way. Listen, I'm sorry, you know, when you think about the fact that we got the vote in 1965. Okay, they don't have free and fair elections in Iran. It's not even the same universe. They can't go out of their house.
Starting point is 00:56:35 You know what, there's no way I can make you understand. Let me try something. It's like, it's like, try to reverse roles with a black person in this country, let's say, because I think that's what you're talking about. Yes. Just try to understand from their point of view. From that point of view, this country does not do them well. I completely.
Starting point is 00:56:53 I'm not like that. And we shouldn't compare atrocities. If you're talking about Iran, Iran, of course, is doing worse things. But relatively speaking, it feels bad. Okay, I think you know that Iran is significantly. I guess we're going to come back and talk about this. And I know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Like, wow. I mean, poor girl, Alyssa, I mean, to sit there and have to deal with that. I mean, you start to say, are all the wires connected in the head at that point? Because her logic just isn't there. I'm sorry. Like, yeah. I mean, no one's diminished. Look, this country's not perfect.
Starting point is 00:57:34 I've said that many, many times. And we still have our challenges. And we have to do our best to address those issues. but we're not Iran, okay? That's a whole other can of discrimination, et cetera. And it's unbelievable to me, right? She's sitting there saying that. It just shows so much ignorance in my estimation,
Starting point is 00:57:58 which is why, you know what, I'm wondering how much of this has to do with, let's find a new storyline, let's find something else to talk about because the boss says we can't talk politics anymore. Now they're getting into this really weird territory where I guess they have to have some kind of disagreement and maybe this is Whoopie's way of doing that. Again, I'm trying to justify this because I can't imagine saying what she actually said
Starting point is 00:58:22 and believing that. Like Alyssa is saying, you know what? Joy, you don't really believe this, right? I mean, do you really think that living in the U.S. is worse than living in Iran today? I mean, that is a wild, wild statement. But they're desperate for ratings and they're trying to do something other than Trump because the boss said, you know what? The boss said, hey, you can't, you can't keep going negative on him. In fact, I'm wondering if the boss is the one that brought on one Arnold Schwarzenegger this week.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Because Arnold was there and, you know, he achieved the impossible. He actually stunned these women into silence. we've seen it but you know what we're going to watch it again this is this is very good i i i love seeing sort of the expression on their faces joy is like but but but but but and arnold is like no here's the deal you're a guest in the country he starts out nice and then watch the turn self you are an immigrant you're an immigrant in his country did you have a visceral reaction to what they're doing what ice is doing when you see
Starting point is 00:59:33 the videos of it well i tell you i mean you say that the immigrant, I'm so proud and happy that I was embraced by the American people like that. I mean, imagine it came over here with the age of 21, with absolutely nothing. And then to create a career like that, I mean, in no other country in the world,
Starting point is 01:00:00 could you do that? Every single thing, if it's my bodybuilding career, if it's my acting career, becoming governor, the beautiful family that have created, all of this is because of America. That's true. And so this is why I'm so, so happy
Starting point is 01:00:17 to see firsthand that this is the greatest country in the world and this is the land of opportunities. And I think because I'm such a proud American and a proud immigrant became to America, I was asked to do on July 4th.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Not here. I'm going to fast forward him a little bit, okay? Because I want to get to the good part. You know, you know me. It's great. So it's really a great celebration. This is what this is all about,
Starting point is 01:00:45 is to celebrate people becoming Americans and coming to America and all that. And so I just think the world of the great kind of history that we have with immigrants in America, but the key thing also is at the same time that we've got to do things legal. That is the important thing, you know?
Starting point is 01:01:03 So you've got to do things, and those people that are doing illegal things in America and they're the foreigners, they are not smart. Because when you come to America, you're a guest. And you have to behave like a guest. Like when I go to someone's house and I'm a guest, then I will do everything I can, keep things clean and to make my bed
Starting point is 01:01:28 and to do everything that is the right thing to do rather than committing a crime or being abusive or something like that. So that doesn't really work in this country. So I think the important thing is when you become an immigrant to think about, okay, I go to America because I want to use America for the great opportunities that America has, in education, in jobs, creating a family, all of those kind of things. Then you have to think about, okay, if I get all of those things from America, then I have to give something back. You have a responsibility as an immigrant to give back to America and to pay back to America. And to go and do something for your community for no money whatsoever. Give something back to after school program, Special Olympics, or whatever it is, make this party a better place.
Starting point is 01:02:15 Oh my gosh. I saw that. You guys are commenting and you're like, oh, look at her. She's trying to interrupt. She's like, but, but, butt, butt, butt, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, yeah, here's the deal. And we talked about this yesterday. I remember I couldn't remember the word. I was like, salad or, and I kept saying soup.
Starting point is 01:02:30 I meant melting pot. It was my own Joe Biden moment. Anyway, it's the truth, right? Are we a salad or we are melting pot? Our beauty, our strength as a nation is that we are a melting pot because we take the best of everything and we make it ours. We make it uniquely American. And so that means accepting that you are American, speaking English, adopting customs and cultures that are uniquely ours while bringing some of your specialness in, right? Like it's all one. But when you're the salad model and you got people trying to divide, divide, divide like one, Jasmine Crockett, for goodness
Starting point is 01:03:09 sakes, then what chance do we have, really, as a country? I ask you, what chance do we have? If everybody's out for themselves, I mean, they're trying to do the divide with the gender, they're trying to do the divide with the race, they're trying to do the divide with the young versus the old. And I'm sorry, at the end of the day, we are all American. Remember that, okay? We're coming up on Fourth of July.
Starting point is 01:03:27 You know, I'm going to have to start singing again. Did you see Donald Trump and the flag? He's putting a couple flagpoles up at the White House. He'd always said, you know, why don't we have flagpoles in the ground? We're going to have the two biggest flagpoles. So he's all about patriotism and recognizing the strength and greatness of this country. And you come here, you want to be part of it, right? Just as Arnold Schwarzenegger just said.
Starting point is 01:03:52 So we commend him. We commend him for that. Reminder, guys, go check out 76 research. Get the Father's Day pick. I want you to have that. Have a chance to partake in this greatness that's coming. because I do believe that the MAGA economy is going to be very good for everyone's future. But you've got to be invested in it.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Okay, you've got to be part of it. 76research.com, our father's day picks. Don't forget, we are sponsored by our friends over at American Heart for Gold, so we love them. If you want to invest in gold as well, up to $15,000 in free silver for those with qualifying offers, just text Trish to 6553-2. Scott Cullen, good to see you guys back in the house here. Oh, you like...
Starting point is 01:04:33 You get a crush on La Monica. Oh, glad to hear that. Yeah, La Monica, we didn't get to see her today. Should we do that once for the road? I think I probably have her. I was stunned. I was shocked. I'm like, who conducts themselves like that, really and truly?
Starting point is 01:04:48 Who actually does that? It's so wildly inappropriate. And it's like time and place. I mean, not that there's ever a time and place for this. Yeah. There we go. We get some slow motion. show you. I could watch this all day long. It's crazy. And you know what? The feds apparently have better
Starting point is 01:05:23 tape because the representative, the PR representative from the White House that represents DHS has said they've got unbelievable footage of this. So this is going to come back to haunt her. You know, of course, she's been indicted and she faces now, of course, up to what, 17 years. Thank you very much. Alina Hava. We, oh, you know, Leah, thank you for your compliment. She says, I love your podcast. you're an amazing reporter. I appreciate that. I really do. And I love that you guys love it here because this is just a whole brave new world, right? For me, having come from traditional networks and, you know, getting your minute 10 and maybe 10 seconds as a tag, a live tag on the air, and God help you if you went 12. I mean, I was known to do that because I can talk. I mean,
Starting point is 01:06:09 I can really talk. But when it's all scripted out and you're only supposed to have 10 seconds and they only got 22 minutes and, you know, 10 seconds for the whole darn show, you know, You know, you got to speak within 10 seconds. It's why everything is so tightly wound. And over here, we're just having a blast, right? Because we don't have a script. We don't have a prompter. We don't have any bosses. We just get to be us. And it's real and it's authentic. And I love that you guys are enjoying this because I'm certainly enjoying it. And I'm thrilled that we're back on top 100. Let's keep it up. Okay. Do what you can. Spread the word. We are here every single day live. I'm actually going up to my parents' house. So I'm
Starting point is 01:06:48 I'm going to join you from my childhood home tomorrow. How do you like that? You know, when I was first born, my parents had just moved in. I came early. They thought they were going to have the house done and everything, but I came a little bit early. We joke that it was the only time I was ever early for anything. Leslie, you know what I'm talking about, right?
Starting point is 01:07:09 Anyway, I'm going to be up visiting family and I will be live with you as always tomorrow. I'll see you them, plus more coming your way this afternoon. Have a good one.
