Welcome to Big Show. Oh, my gosh. It just keeps getting worse for Disney, for ESPN, for ABC News. We've got some details on the Shannon Sharp situation. We've got to discuss. I told you yesterday, CBS News was probably looking at the end of 60 minutes. You know, the hour clock is kind of running its time. New reports echoing exactly what I told you just yesterday.

And what is the deal with the former Patriots coach? You know, Bill Belichick? The Jennifer Hudson girlfriend thing? Oh my gosh, the girlfriend from hell. I'm getting a little worried about poor Bill. I'm concerned he might be. I don't know. What do you call this?

Trapped? Whoa. Wow. Okay, we're going to talk all about it. But first, ladies and gentlemen, Disney is desperate. Disney is so desperate, if you would, to get rid of ABC and ESPN at this point. But, but it can't. We'll explain why, but first understand what this company is up against, right?

They've got this guy, Shannon Sharp, which maybe they thought was going to be a good hire. Nobody really understood why they thought that would have been a good hire. Great columnist in The New York Post has a terrific piece on this today. He's like, what were you people thinking? Like, how did you ever think this was going to go well hiring this guy? Of course, as you may know by now, Mr. Shannon Sharp has had a little bit of a run-in situation with the Dedy Lawyer, Tony Busby, who has team. teamed up with a woman who Shannon claims he had a consensual relationship with.

She was an only fan star of sorts. And well, things went a little sideways, and now she's suing him for 50 million bucks. He's had to step down from ESPN in the process. Watch his statement here. He's trying to say this is sort of like, oh, typical, you're trying to paint me as a black man, blah, blah, blah. You can tell he's reading it. I want you to see it. To my family, friends, supporters, and colleagues, I want to speak to you directly and from the heart.

This is a shakedown. I'm going to be open, transparent, and defend myself because this isn't right. This is all being orchestrated by Tony Busby, who is targeted Jay-Z. Tony Busby targets black men, and I believe he's going to release a 30-second clip of a sex tape that tries to make me look guilty and play into every stereotype you could possibly imagine. That video should actually be 10 minutes or so. Hey Tony, instead of releasing your edit, put the whole video out. I don't have it or I would myself.

You know what happened and you're trying to manipulate the media. The encountering question took place during the day at her invitation, and now that appears to be a deliberate setup, coordinated by Gabby, also known as Carly on Onlyfans. Gabby and Tony Busby want $50 million. What they're getting is sued for defamation and trying to take me down. My career is all about real talk and honesty. I know my family and fans know exactly what this is about.

And I'm going to be out there telling you whatever I need to say, just like I always do. I love all you guys. Okay, the whole thing is just super, super awkward. I told you about the columnist right over the New York Post. The title of his piece, Phil Moschnik, is his name. It's no surprise. ESPN Shannon Sharpeyer has gone horribly wrong, horribly wrong, okay? Like just a bad idea from the very beginning he writes.

and a bad idea that, by the way, is going to cost Disney more money. Bob Iger's sitting there tearing his hair out saying, who the heck needs this between George Stephanopoulos? And this guy? Wow, you got problems, okay? So here is the $50 million lawsuit that he's writing about with the NXFL star, an NFL star. There's a little X in there, X NFL star, apparently engaging in X-rayed behavior.

And the allegation, of course, is that he raped this woman 20 years old, Tony Busby representing her, and he's like, no, no, no, the whole thing was consensual. I'm a family man, but this whole thing was consensual. TMZ actually released a portion of this tape, this tape that Tony Busby has put out there. Apparently, the woman taped the whole thing, or they were taping the whole thing. I don't know, but the 15 minutes of the tape is pretty darn bad. Like, pretty darn bad stuff. And Sharp is calling him saying, put the whole thing out because what you're going to find is like,

this was all consensual, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, it doesn't change the fact that this is a massive headache for one Disney. I mean, it is, after all, Disney. Disney, good family fun that it is. They're writing, why did ESPN, or what did ESPN see in Sharp that made him a must-hear commentator? Like, what was so great about this guy? They say, you know, they had Stephen A. Smith already, right? So you kind of had some of that ground covered if you wanted to have this sort of, you know, loud mouth, making loud noises rather than sense.

I guess that's a bit of a hit on Stephen Smith. Why would ESPN regard Sharp as worthy of a reported annual-based salary of $6.5 million with expectations of an extended huge salary, ESPN employment soon to follow? Like, why would they hire him? He had basically been tapped out at other networks. So what was so special about Shannon Sharp other than, well, you know, Disney is trying to be the anti-woke, so they want to make sure they have enough diversity in their staff, right? But why this guy? He continues writing.

It's as if Smith, who slipped into his dialect, diverse, antiquated, stereotypical black preacher man costume to address the brothers needed Sharp's help. In other words, he's like, you got that with Smith. He's doing the whole shtick. Why do you need Sharp in there kind of interfering with things? But on ESPN, you cannot, he writes, exaggerates the importance of that night's Magic Timberwolves game on ESPN. They're saying that, you know, basically ESPN holds its viewers in very low regard.

They have such disrespect for their viewers. They don't think that they're intelligent because they think that they basically will want to see and hear these no better ideas, form-fitting junk as they so now broadcast. So it was kind of an interesting piece and really quite a takedown, if you would. I would say Stephen Smith, for his part, has come foreign and said, oh, there's no way that he could stay on. He's like, see you. Bye-bye. Oh, we don't have to worry about you, Eddie. ESPN anymore. Stephen Smith saying there's actually no way that Disney could keep him on given all of these

horrible, horrible rape allegations. And let me read you his statement here that he told deadline. He's like, look, he's working at Disney, basically. I've been at Disney since October of 2003. I know this place. I know the worldwide leader that is ESPN. And basically, there is no way in H-E-WL that Shannon Sharp was going to be able to stay in the gig. because of everything that had happened. And I go back to this. I think that what the New York Post reporter was writing was actually pretty important

because everybody kind of saw this as, why are they hiring him? They've already kind of, if you want to say, checked those boxes, right? But, you know, they're all about diversity, et cetera, Disney. This is Disney, don't forget, Disney, which is down, what, 60% from its high, Disney's just been a train wreck between Snow White,

between Shannon Sharp, between all the other bad ideas that they have had over there at Disney. I'll include Star Wars in that. Everything's going wrong for this company. And then, you know, they keep clinging to these woke ideas and these woke people, and they think that somehow that's going to help them. In this particular case, look, you know, you're innocent until proven guilty, but I find it kind of ironic that Shannon Sharp's like, I'm a family man.

I actually had to look up whether he was married or not. I'm like, oh, how's his wife with that one? saying, listen, I just took up with an only fans model. What's the big deal? Her name's Gabby. She goes by Colby or whatever on only fans. And this was all consensual. So I looked it up. He's actually not married, but he has some kids. I don't really think you want to purport yourself to be like this, you know, really great, all-American family guy, shall we say, given your, well, tendency to clearly lead an alternative lifestyle. In other words, maybe Stephen Smith is right. Like the Disney thing was never, ever, ever going to work out for Shannon Sharp, who's now,

by the way, gone on leave. I'm sure Disney's like, phew, we don't need this headache, right? He's gone on leave and we'll see what happens, but he's countersuing this woman and I guess Tony Buzzbee, but we'll see. that some of the articles pointed out, which I thought was sort of important, was that he actually went out there and made an offer of $10 million for this woman, so that's a little bit peculiar. And then they communicated this. So here we've got it right here. His defense is even more curious. They write, as his lawyer admits Sharp offered at least $10 million to settle, such an offer doesn't represent a go-away already nuisance solution or even a gold digger shakedown suit as Sharp

maintains, but rather thick smoke caused by a genuine fire. In other words, $10 million is a whole lot of money. She's asking for 50, but he's offering 10. Why would he offer 10 unless maybe there was something there? So we shall see, but in other words, it's just another headache for ESPN, another headache for Disney. And this is a company that has got plenty of headaches already, right? ESPN is not the only disaster they have. I'm talking about ABC News. I'm talking about the view. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar. I'm talking about George Stephanopoulos.

I'm talking about the rest of the team over there at ABC World News tonight. They have a problem with their wokeness. They are so biased in their agenda. And it's coming back to haunt them. You recall, of course, George Stephanopoulos, went on set, interviewed Nancy Mays, kept using the word rape and calling Donald Trump, a rapist. This is not actually true. The jury never convicted him of that.

And yet, despite knowing that, and by the way, A reporter should, right? But despite knowing that, uncertainty and having his producers tell him that, George Stephanopoulos went through with it all anyway. Well, why would George do that? Why would he do that unless he was just trying to take it. He wanted it cemented into the minds of the American people that this guy is something he's not. And so by saying it over and over again, perhaps he hoped that would be the, you know, the public's takeaway? Instead, I don't think the public watches. them anymore, frankly, because everybody's over here, this is part of Disney's problem, too, because everybody's streaming and there's a different kind of consumption, if you would,

of news content. So instead of everybody saying, oh, yeah, Donald Trump is the worst thing, they kind of came away thinking ABC was the worst thing, and that ABC had this bias. And now we know that ABC had to settle to the tune of $16 million. George I, Poo, is not very happy about it. He's actually threatening to leave. Oh, buddy, you know, if you're that worried, if you're that upset, maybe you should leave. I mean, at least The guy over at CBS, the producer had the decency to step down when he didn't like how things were going. But no, George is making a lot of money, I guess, so he wants to stick with it as long as he can. But I'll tell you, it's really not a good look.

It's just not a good look. And I think ABC News is increasingly now a problem. So they're dealing with these challenges, especially in light of the streaming business. Reminders, subscribe, share, like here on the show, and I'm looking at your comments live, and we'll get to some of them coming up. Remember, they need to reinvest or reinvent in-vent broadcast television. They need to reinvest in themselves in terms of streaming, et cetera. But how do you do that?

I mean, given that you're bringing in all this money, right? You get paid, whatever, $1, $2. In the case of ESPN, it might actually be a whole lot more money. How do you get, when you're getting paid from the cable companies and you can't actually stream live, what do you do with that side of the business? And this is where they're really, really troubled. This is where the view is troubled. This is where ESPN is troubled.

This is why I think they decided to move forward with this new program on the weekend over the view in case you just don't get enough during the week and they decided they would be streaming without Whoopie. Actually, that was very interesting in the beginning. I think they worked out something in her contract renegotiation and now she's agreeing to go on the Saturday show. But here's the thing.

It's not doing so well. It's just not because I don't think that the traditional medium translates Take a look at this. This is the View weekend. They got 97,000 views. Guys, I think we had a show for the weekend that got 200 and some 1,000 views. Right? So the View has all the resources in the world.

Giant sets, live studio audience. They're pumping marketing money into this. And all they can do is 97,000 views for their show. You know, we're doing 200, 300, 400. I mean, that's not unusual for us to see on the little, just, channel right here, reminder to subscribe and keep those views coming. But anyway, they've got 97,000 views on that line. Now, I'm not going to begrudge them that at the start, right? They're trying because they've got to do something. They're restructuring now at ABC News.

They had a bunch of layoffs. In fact, they laid off all the Whoopies team. They're writing, this is the guy who's actually the head of ABC News right now, the chief there, Alman Karmadonovich. You know, I'm not even trying to say his name because I'm surely going to make it something it's not. Anyway, quote, this is not easy. The entire industry has been challenged in restructuring the way we operate has, unfortunately, had an impact on some of our colleagues. Yeah, that would be the hundreds of layoffs.

We thank them again for their professionalism, dedication, and meaningful contributions. Okay, I'll mean meaningful contributions. Well, they're out now, and you're trying to figure out what the heck you would do. Well, I'll tell you what the answer is. You've got to sell, okay? You've got to sell that company. Bob Becker, you know this, you know this, you said it yourself.

Go back two years ago, Sun Valley, speaking with my former colleague at CNBC, David Faber, and you admitted it. Like these legacy businesses, these are not working for you, and they weren't working then, they're not working now. So good luck on this. I know you need to sell. You know you need to sell. Apparently you can't sell. We'll get into that. Transformative work is dealing with businesses that are no growth businesses and what to do about them,

and particularly the linear business, which we are expansive. than our thinking about and we're going to look expansively about opportunities there because clearly it's a business that is going to continue to struggle. Well, let's stop there for a second then and just let me ask you about it. We're talking, I guess, ABC, the network, the stations, but then the cable networks as well. Yes, correct. FX, NatGeo. Is it possible you would look to sell them?

We're going to be expansive. I think if you can interpret what that word means. Ma, we're going to be expensive. You can interpret what that word means. It means you're going to sell. Okay, so he wanted to sell them. Because that's really the only way he can move forward. And so he tried to recover some value out of them.

But guess what? They can't do it. They can't do it. So as a result of this, he had to come out and say, you know what? I'm actually, I'm rethinking it. Let me see if I can find you the article. He started saying, no, they're not a burden. They're actually not a burden.

This is the Hollywood Reporter a month or two ago. Bob Barker says Disney's linear TV assets are not a burden. Well, you see, he has to say that because he couldn't sell them. Because the offer price was $10 billion from Next Star Communications. Okay, Next Star was like, we'll take it off your hands. It's a dying industry. But guess what? It still prints money.

I mean, it's not growing, but you know, you can still squeeze a little bit out. You get rid of Georgie poo, if you get rid of whoopi pooh, if you get rid of Joy Behar, oh my gosh, you might actually have a business. So they just have to pair things down a little bit. Well, Bob Eager's like, oh dear, because, you know, we thought we could get a little bit more money for this thing. It turns out it's only worth $10 billion. What are we going to do?

We spent $19 on it. Okay, so you'd be cutting it and out. This is him telling the Hollywood reporter. We are actually at a point where the linear networks in our company are not a burden at all. they've actually become an asset, he writes. And, you know, we feel good about things. We feel good about things. And we're going to try and make it work.

So he's trying to shut down the M&A rumor mill because basically they couldn't get rid of these things. At the time, Iger had tapped. You had former studio heads Kevin Meyer, Tom Staggs. They were trying to advise on the possible sale of linear assets beyond ESPN, beyond the ABC Broadcast Network and the FX channel. And now apparently these guys are busy. trying to figure out how they can turn ESPN into a streaming business.

So that's the latest news. They can't sell it. Remember, $19 billion is what Disney paid for the network back in, I want to say, the early 90s. It is now in the marketplace today, and this was like a year or two ago, so it's probably worth less now. It's worth $10 billion. And so Disney's looking at it. They're like, oh, my gosh, well, what do we do? Maybe we just keep

these businesses and we try and transition them. We try and figure it out. Good luck with that. So this is a marketing person at Disney whose last name is Fox, noted the ESPN had reached some 200 million adults in the month of March on its digital platforms alone. Boom. Okay, not to brag or anything. Eighty-eight million we reached right here in the last 28 days on YouTube, plus another 49 million on Facebook, plus multiples on Rumble and Spotify. You should, you should follow my podcast on Spotify if you don't have it there yet. We just started that. So, great. ESPN, I'm proud of you. I'm just saying you may have a ways to go. You in the view. Okay.

they're all excited. They're generating four to five hundred clips a day. Wow, gosh, they're way ahead of me. I don't have 400, 500, 500 clips a day. But I do have 88 million. So ratio wise, I'd say I'm ahead. And I didn't start this that long ago, just a couple years ago, actually. You guys, so many of you have been here from the very beginning. And they're saying, oh, you know, the way that sports is consumed, a lot of people just want to watch the play. And so they'll watch it in a streaming format after. Okay, good. Keep telling yourselves that. I'm sure that that'll work out just fine for you, except that, you know, there's a lot of infrastructure that goes into broadcasting these sports, and you're going to have to remember that ESPN, because you've got to pay up big time to get to the

rights, get the rights for half of this stuff. So they're in a mess. They got to try and figure this out. Here's what I was telling you earlier. You know what? Next, our tried to buy Disney for $10 billion. Disney, do not forget, had bought it already for $19 billion way back in, it was either in the late 80s, early 90s, and this company's stock price. I mean, it's just been crazy. It's basically less than half what it was after COVID. So I don't think that there's a real financial path here, right? ABC News is a headache. They get a $16 million hit as a result of Georgie Poo, we just talked about.

All of this just adds up to problem after problem, after problem, after problem. So what do you do with this right now? I think Bob Eiger would love to sell it. He told us that a couple of years ago. He'd still love to sell it. He can't sell it. It's not worth anything because, worth anything because the growth isn't there. And so you look at the entire landscape right now.

It reminds me of what's happening at MSNBC. You're paying $25 million to one Rachel Maddow. I'm sorry, that Gravitrain is over. 25 million dollars. And now Comcast is running, and I mean running for the hills, for the hills, trying to get away from Rachel Maddo, trying to get away from that whole Morning Joe team, because that is not a good business either to be in. One, you get the headache of what's going on in the administration and the FCC breathing down your back. And then, too, you've got no real growth opportunity there. So they're trying to tell their talent, oh, it'll be great. You know, our investors can really, really focus on you guys.

Well, they're going to focus on you. And let me just tell you, they are going to cut your salaries. Rachel, you are not going to be making $25 million, maybe $2.5 million, and you're going to actually have to work five nights a week. Oh, imagine that. Imagine that. I'll tell you, these people, I mean, the whole. industry is just a complete disaster. I want to get to what's going on at CBS News because I told you

yesterday this company's going out of or this show is going out of business and more evidence today that I am right on that before I do. Here I am in gold. So CBS News is in kind of a bit of a situation because they have this signature show called 60 Minutes, which airs in a very, very sweet time slot, often ahead of some of the football and other key games that are on CBS on the weekends on Sunday night, 7 o'clock. and they kind of have gotten themselves into it. You may remember, of course, that whole Leslie stall exchange with Donald Trump

where he's like, Leslie, look at the laptop, the Biden laptop. And she's like, oh, that's not anything but Russian misinformation. That whole thing is fake. And he's like, no, it's not. And she said, yes, it is. We're not going to put fake news on 60 minutes. This is 60 minutes. And she gets up on her high horse, and he's like, Leslie, for goodness sakes, listen to you.

yourself. Why don't you go and check these stories out? So that was one little moment, and then there was that other moment, you see, when they decided to effectively re-edit the Kamala Harris interview. I've played it for you. But let's watch it again, because it's important to understand the context by which this president is so angry with this company and sees this as a form of election interference because the way they manipulated what she, Kamala Harris, said, to make her sound a whole lot smarter than she really is. But it seems that, Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel

that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end. Okay, so two totally different things. Do you notice that, guys? I mean, there's no sort of even resemblance between what you're seeing there. So what was that really about? I'll tell you, the president was not happy. And you saw the flurry of tweets and two socials that he put out about that. And understandably, he was not happy. I mean, how would, how would you? anybody be happy about that? It's like really unfair, right? Would they ever afford him the benefit of the doubt? No. Well, now, what did I tell you yesterday? I think that it's probably game over for this company for this particular show. 60 minutes is on its last legs. And that is what we saw in the Daily Mail also reporting just last night. So this is a rather ominous warning. Basically,

you have the FCC at this point looking into 60 minutes, looking into that particular interview because the feeling is that they really inflated it quite deliberately. I mean, this comes on the heels of them announcing this DEI investigation as well. Brendan Carr rejected a bid, you'll recall, from CBS to dismiss this complaint. His latest comment suggests that avenues will be used, all avenues will be used, to probe CBS and that the network could be hit with a hefty find if it's found to have been in violation of the rules. There have been FCC fines before.

There was one, the $300 million one levied against several broadcast networks who were engaging in illicit, illegal, roble call operations. While the FCC's investigation rights, the Daily Mail comes on the heels of the $20 billion lawsuit launched by President Trump. Did I say 10? I meant 20. I think he upped it. He upped it along the way over the interview with Harris,

alleging that CBS deceptively edited it in a way to sway public opinion. in her favor. So the thinking was, oh, you know, we'll just make her sound a little bit better. Now, the CBS producers would say, no, no, no, we just did this for clarity, right? Because nobody could understand whatever she was saying. Well, it's not your job to make it understandable.

I would just emphasize, it really should be your job to show Americans the truth. And when you change the truth, because, you know, you think that this is somehow going to maybe help her or help convey a message a little bit better, you really are running into certain risks. So the guy who was in charge of this, the guy who basically, you know, was running the whole show and okayed all of this, he was not too happy about suggestions that he might have to apologize or that CBS News might have to apologize. He wasn't happy about the DEI stuff.

He wasn't happy about the apology stuff. And so he, this is one Bill Owens, decided to quit because he said, well, CBS News has lost its independence. And in doing that, well, it just sparked a whole chain reaction where the staff got really furious because he was very well liked. He had been Scott Pelley's producer for quite some time. And Scott Pelley is one of those people on the show that, you know, maybe you might recognize, maybe, probably not, because it's not like you think 60 minutes.

and you think anyone? Maybe Leslie is the most recognized. I don't know, but it's not like I can actually put a face with 60 minutes. 60 minutes to me is the clock ticking on a Sunday night. Like when I was a kid, because I don't think I've seen it since I was a kid. I mean, nobody watches anymore, right? And so I'm like, what is this show still doing out there? Really and truly, like, why do we need a show like this out there

in light of all the other good content you can get? And by the way, it's not cheap. It's kind of an expensive show to produce. And it's in a killer time slot. Like you put that thing on any other time slot. Good luck, baby. No one's going to watch. Okay?

Like, that's just the reality of it because it's not that exciting a show. So do you need it as a network? I'm telling you, you know what? Sherry Redstone's thinking right now. She goes into her board meeting tomorrow. No, I don't need this. I don't need this headache. I don't need this problem.

And I would not be surprised. I kid you not, if they decide to actually just get rid of the whole thing. They've got this car investigation, right? Car telling Bloomberg that any business looking for FCC approval would have to make sure that they have ended any discriminatory policies that they had put in place by way of DEI. And so this is, you know, this is where they are.

Apparently, according to the New York Post, they have a board meeting tomorrow. Sherry Redstone is sitting down with her board and they're trying to figure out what to do about the $20 billion lawsuit with Donald Trump. They're trying to figure out what to do about 60 minutes. And I think probably the upshot of all of it, and I'm sorry for those of you that may still like this show. I mean, I'm sorry in more ways than one. I think it's probably coming to an end. But here's what I would say.

Wow. Have you been following this situation with Bill Belichick and his girlfriend? I mean, holy moly. This chick is a piece of... work. Quite a piece of work. So 24 years old, she wants to be Miss Maine in the Miss USA pageant. You're talking to a former Miss New Hampshire in the Miss America pageant. Anyway, she wants to be Miss Maine. She's running for Miss Maine. She's taken up with Bill Billichick and there was this really bizarre interview. I mean really bizarre interview that she did with

CBS Sunday morning. Hey, there you go. Just replace 60 minutes with Sunday morning. The door are more interesting stuff. She turned out to be like the girlfriend from hell. Everybody's reacting to this. So very pretty girl, right? 24 years old. She is 49 years his junior. So at first you might think, oh, you know what? Like, okay, good for him. You know, he's living later in life and whatever. That poor foolish girl, 24 years old, you know, whatever. She's wasting her life, but who cares? It's none of my business. And then you see this clip. And you start to think, wow, is he okay? Like, is he in some kind of hostage-type relationship?

Because she seems pretty darn mean. Like, really, really mean, just saying. And, you know, I'm not the only one. The New York Times picked up on this story. They're saying this was really awkward. Bill Belichick's girlfriend takes charge in awkward interview. Like, what is she doing taking charge? Is she his nurse?

I mean, she's a very, very aggressive nurse, shall I say, if that's, in fact, her position. The legendary football coach has never shared much with the news media, but on Sunday it was Jordan Hudson who shut down a line of questioning. So she was pretty brutal in this, and if you haven't seen it, you've got to see it, because she basically cuts off the reporter. He starts to ask a pretty innocuous question. She's talked about how they met on a plane on her own social media platforms. She wouldn't allow it to happen. Take a look.

Jordan was a constant presence during our interview. You have Jordan right over there. Everybody in the world seems to be following this relationship. They've got an opinion about your private life. It's got nothing to do with them, but they're invested in it. How do you deal with that? I've never been too worried about what everybody else thinks. Just try to do what I feel like is best for me and what's right.

How did you guys meet? Not talking about those. No? No. It's a topic neither one of them is comfortable commenting on. Ouch, right? That might have been the Boston Globe that I just showed you. But, I mean, out, out, out.

So she was really not in a good place. And what has come out subsequently, in part through some of the TMZ reporting, is that she was really, really demanding throughout the whole thing. And at one point she left the room, she expected him to come with her. she was quite difficult throughout all of it. And so people are left asking why. Well, now she's coming out and saying that, you know, this is not her fault. So she's trying to save herself again. You just look at it and you're like, wow, you are one selfish chick, right? UNC, by the way, is kind of worried. So UNC is the team he's coaching down in North Carolina right now and he came from the Patriots.

And, you know, I pay special attention because I'm a New Hampshire, New England girl. So this was interesting to me. And I was really kind of surprised to see this. And I'm actually like worried for him. I mean, I'm with UNC. Like people are worried. But she's been tough. She's been tough. And now she's coming out in People magazine. And she's releasing a bunch of emails, including from him, in order to defend herself. Yeah. Okay. And she said, there's more coming. More coming. It's like, wow. Okay. So this is the email that she released. And this is an email for, from Bill. They actually had everybody's emails on this. I took it out because I didn't think it was that appropriate to have everybody's email addresses on there, but he's writing, you know,

I don't think this is fantastic, but it will probably hype the book, which is clearly the ongoing theme here. This is about what I expect from the media. We went through how important it was for me to put I, you know what, upped in the book. And of course, this is the feature of this article, which is mostly about admitting mistakes and talking about a Super Bowl mistake. So this is getting back to the fact that he didn't do that well. Robert Kraft had to fire him in the Patriots. He writes, I am fine with putting mistakes in the book,

but I am certainly not surprised that of the 260 plus pages, that is what they would highlight. And I, of course, I effed up is the clickbait they used for the story. We'll see what the title of the article is. What I noticed has been conveniently left out. do we have approval on that? I would approve this article if we can also approve the headline, which is actually more important than the article. We can expect that the interviews and podcasts that will be supposedly driving the sales will also come from similar experiences.

These experiences will no doubt want to focus on whatever negatives they can extract from the book and all the current events that don't have anything to do with the book but are most relevant to their quote ratings and their agenda, which is not mine. That was evident when Alara drop the story because we could not do current events at UNC. We'll see how many people want to talk about the $5,000 bill for spoiled milk, blah, blah, blah. He said, oh, I have no doubt the I FDuff, will not be the main focus of Ray Dalio's book and Susie Welsh in my conversations with them. Oh, interesting. I think that he's just going on to Ray Dalio and he's the Bridgewater guy and Susie Welch's show or pieces he's doing. And he probably thinks that it will be,

a little bit more substantive an interview there, but he didn't have a lot of faith clearly in CBS. And I'll tell you, I don't blame him, right? Like I get it. This is what the media does. He wants to say, look, you know, I'll acknowledge I made mistakes, of course, but I, you know, what upped is the catchphrase, and that's concerning to me. And so apparently, this is why the girlfriend was allegedly involved. She wanted to, quote, unquote, protect him from the media.

I mean, that's, I guess, a good story if you can stick to it. We'll see. I'm mainly just kind of worried for him. Seems like a sweet, nice old man. And now he's got this girlfriend from hell who's basically making him do yoga and stuff on the beach. Did I show you that one? Yeah, yoga on the beach. She calls this Bilates.

She has him, you know, standing her up there on the beach. He doesn't really like Instagram or social media in general, but, you know, she's 24 and she's running for Miss Maine. Oh my gosh. I'll tell you guys, be careful what you wish for, okay? The 24-year-old may not be what you really want in life. It could go really south, really fast. And obviously there might be just a little something wrong with her, right? if she's willing to date a man 49 years, her senior? Just saying? Oh, this was great.

Stephen Miller, he's back at it. And boy, he's going after Fox big time, as only Stephen Miller can. So there's a new poll out about Donald Trump's first 100 days in office, and it's not all roses and sunshine here. And that is something, the Fox poll anyway, that the Fox reporter tried to convey to Stephen Miller, who basically, said in kind of not so many ways, go, F yourself. It was like it reminded me of Elon, right, with Bob Eiger. Take a peek. All right, so let's talk a little bit about successes and near successes and things you still have to work on in terms of the first 100 days.

New Fox News poll shows that the border has been one of your big successes. The cross-border illegal traffic has been reduced by 96%. Illegal aliens reduced into this country, reduced by 99.99%. on this Fox News poll, the Trump gets, President Trump gets big marks on that, 55% approval. He's about even on immigration in total, but everything else, he's sort of underwater, and particularly on the economy, tariffs, and inflation, he's well underwater. You've still got some work to do in that front. A lot of people think that he's spending too much time on tariffs and not enough time on the economy and lower prices.

What do you say? I don't want to make things awkward for you, John, but it is our opinion that Fox News needs to fire his pollster. And I won't make, I won't surprise you with that. I don't think you're surprised that I'm saying that. But the Fox News pollster has always been wrong about President Trump. They were the ones that said all summer long and that Kamala Harris was going to be the 47th president of the United States type. So we don't acknowledge any of that polling. Whoa.

You know, he's not wrong. Fox News was really, really wrong in its polling. And Fox News would never ever quote those other polls that were actually right. I remember when I worked there, it was like no-go territory. There was this one woman who ran the polling department, and it was like, you could never, ever, like, even in like anecdotal conversation, ever quote any other polls because her polls were the only ones that mattered. She thought that all the others were just fraudulent, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, except that it turned

out those polls were actually right. You know what was really right? Polymarket was really right. And yet there's this sort of ego around their polls. And so Fox, I think, is getting this one wrong again. I mean, look, immigration's a big issue. I think people are very happy with what they're seeing on the immigration front. As far as the economy, as far as tariffs, listen, you know what?

You don't know yet. You really don't know yet. I'm looking at the stock market at the end of the day in positive territory yet again. We've got the downturns industrial average up one, nearly 1%, the S&P up about a half a percent. You've got the NASDAQ composite index up half a percent as well. So listen, okay, until you actually have a little more information on your hands, you may want to calm down about the stock market. Are people that worried about it? I don't think so.

Like gas prices have come down, massively so. You've got egg prices coming down. So there's a lot, actually, for people to be pretty psyched about in terms of the Trump agenda. They love that Doge went in there, is trying to save them money, lots of good stuff to be excited about. And so what Fox is seeing in its polls may not be perfectly indicative of the real world out there, right?

We've seen that before. After all, 2016, 2020 even, right? because he was far closer than those polls predicted. And of course, 2024 was another example. Let me show you here, however, another example of Miller at his finest, because he's really kind of has no use for Fox and some of its spin right now. Listen to him on the immigration front. Number one, DOJ said a federal court cannot compel the executive branch to engage in any mandated act of diplomacy

or incursion upon the sovereignty of another nation. So your argument is that you don't have to bring him back home, but will you? So I want to correct. I hate to do it, Bill, but I got to correct you on every single thing that you said, because it was all wrong. First, we won the Supreme Court case. Clearly, 90, a district court judge said unconscionably that the president and his administration have to go into El Salvador and extradite one of their citizens, an El Salvadorian citizen. So that would be kidnapping. that we have to kidnap an El Salvadorian citizen against the will of his government and fly him back to America, which would be an unimaginable act and an invasion of El Salvador's sovereignty. So we appealed to the Supreme Court, and it said clearly no district court can compel the president to exercise his Article 2 foreign powers in any way whatsoever.

DOJ called me after that Supreme Court ruling and they said, this is amazing. We won this case, 9-0. We are an excellent standing here. So this has been portrayed wrong for 72 hours in the media. They said the most a court could ever compel you to do would be to facilitate return, which would basically mean if El Salvador voluntarily sends him back, we wouldn't block him at the airport. We would put him back into iced detention,

and then he would be deported either back to El Salvador or somewhere else. The Supreme Court said that is the most the government can be expected to do. So we won the case handily. The misreporting on this has been atrocious. Secondly, he was not, no, Bill is important. He was not mistaken.

mistakenly sent to El Salvador. So do you still believe he is a member of MS. Hold on this is important. In 2019, he was ordered deported. He is a final removal order from the United States. These are things that no one disputes. Where is he from? El Salvador.

Where is he a resident and citizen of? El Salvador. Is he here illegally? Yes. Does he have a deportation order? Yes. A DOJ lawyer who has since been relieved of duty, a sabotage. sabotore, a Democrat, put into a filing incorrectly that this was a mistaken removal.

It was not. This was the right person sent to the right place. Now, some have said, well, but he had a thing called a withholding order. So a withholding order means you've been ordered deported, but an immigration judge is saying you cannot go back to a particular country. Here's the thing. If you are a member of a foreign terrorist organization, you cannot have a withholding order. Since he's in MS-13, there is no withholding order. You just answer my question. The gang that he is accused of being persecuted by doesn't exist anymore in El Salvador. The 18th Street gang is gone.

So you have any illegal alien from El Salvador? Bill, where are we supposed to send the illegal alien from El Salvador? To what country? You haven't even allowed me to ask you a question. Are you convinced he is still a member of MS-13? That was your original charge. Yes. But here's the thing, Bill.

Yes, but not only am I convinced of it, not only is El Salvador convinced of it. Bill, he's an illegal alien from El Salvador with the deportation order. So his only options in life, Bill, his only options in life are to be deported to El Salvador or to be deported to some other country. That's it. He has a deportation order. So, Bill, you tell me, what country should we deport him to? Tell me, please, tell me.

So Marco Rubio on Sunday morning said this. Oh, wow. Another 10 criminals. Okay. That's pretty good, right? I mean, Miller is just the best at this. He gets very passionate, obviously. And in terms of the polling, I mean, saying Fox, you need a new pollster, he may not be that wrong.

I'll tell you, another great moment on television happened this morning. Pete Heggseth getting some unlikely defense over at CNBC. Well, this particular CNBC host has a little bit more of a conservative bias than most of them. And this was great. This was great because he brought Sandra Coons on. And Senator Coons is sitting there and just lashing out at Pete Heggseth for everything under the sun, mostly related, of course, to the Signalgate thing. And he's like, how can he have these conversations going on Signal?

Dut, dot, dot, dot, dot. And you know, this host is like, but hey, wait a second. What about Lloyd Austin? What about the fact that we had a failed mission there in Afghanistan, that we lost 13 Americans, that we left behind millions and millions of dollars worth of equipment, which we believe now has gotten into the wrong hands. And what about the fact that Lloyd Austin went for like, you know, surgery and went totally AWOL and didn't even tell anyone? I mean, like, that's kind of some bad stuff, right?

So this all came up on this morning CNBC Squawk Box show. I want to show you Joe Kernan. Did you call for Lloyd Austin's resignation? Not only did we lose 13 service members, we left $70 billion worth of equipment that fell into the hands of the Taliban. A couple of years later, he was out of pocket for two weeks and didn't tell the White. House. Did you ask for him to resign at this point? Are you actually asking for Heggseth and Waltz to resign when you didn't ask for Lloyd Austin? There is nothing that Lloyd Austin did by getting health care treatment. Okay, what about Afghanistan? What about Afghanistan? You guys forget that

the statute of limitations is over for four years? That's what that Mark Warner. The fact that the Secretary of Defense was getting health care is fundamentally different from the Secretary of Defense sharing on an unsecure platform. It was a, you just said it was a success. Afghanistan was not a success. I am not saying that the attack on the Houthis was not a success. I am saying that he demonstrably violated a directive that was just shared in the Pentagon about don't use signal for classified information. It is not reliably secure. And one of the folks on that group chat was in Russia at the time that that information was being

on a secure line. Look, all of us use apps like what's happened. You're running out the clock on Afghanistan. You're running out the clock on answering. It was a mistake for Donald. Trump to negotiate with the Taliban an agreement for winding down the Afghanistan war. Afghanistan was Donald Trump's fault? If you'd let me finish my sentence, I will actually come your direction.

You did say that. It was a mistake to negotiate an end to that war that put Biden in a box. The execution of the withdrawal from Afghanistan was badly handled, and the loss of those 13 Marines was a tragedy. Should you have asked for Lloyd Austin's resignation from that? I don't know whether Lloyd Austin's the person who should have been. been held accountable for it, but there should have been accountability. Wow.

I thought that was pretty compelling and unusual to see, right, on an NBC network. But important to see because in all of this, right, we are getting a little bit lost in that this was a successful mission. As for Signalgate, look, I still have a lot of questions. I really do. I don't know why the CIA from Biden's team told them this was great and they should use this as a secure means. to talk with each other.

We now learn that Pete had also a signal chat with his wife and his brother. And so all of this is coming out as they try and do other things, right, to take him down. We were talking about this the other day. CBS News, good old CBS News reporting that Pete has a makeup studio there that he was putting in at the Pentagon to which Pete's like, no, no, no, there's no makeup studio going in. This is totally fake, no orders, no makeup. we should have installed tampon machines in every men's bathroom at DOD instead. The leftist news media would have loved that one, right?

So, you know, something got a little lost here because this is apparently the quote-unquote makeup room. They have a green room that's right offside the set, and that's where people go. CBS started reporting this. Interestingly, one of his top handlers is a former CBS producer, and you kind of one who also worked at Fox, and you kind of wonder how these things leak out. I might be taking a good hard look at her, shall we say. Okay, markets, ending the day higher. This is awesome, right?
