Starting point is 00:00:29 Oh, I knew this day would come Did we not? We should show for four hours from 6 a. So I think it's going to be over relatively soon. I think they know that over there at MSMC.
Starting point is 00:00:45 You could all be fired a year from now when this happens. You never know what's going to happen. No, you never know, except we knew. I knew. This is the Trish Rigan show. Welcome, everyone. So good to have you here.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Yeah. Morning Joe. is getting spun off. I guess that's a nice way to put it. You know, nice way to put it. NBC doesn't really want to have anything to do with these guys anymore. The broadcast network doesn't want to have anything to do with them. The streaming network doesn't want to have anything to do with them.
Starting point is 00:01:11 So guess what? They're spinning them off. Comcast is like, bye-bye, see ya. Oh, Oprah would be included in that crowd too. This is going to be quite a deal. We're going to get all into that, plus what it means for ABC, what it means for Disney, in terms of spinning off ABC news.
Starting point is 00:01:25 And, of course, the view, which I predicted as well, Listen, we got it going on. We know what's happening here on this history again show. Quick reminder, make sure you go over to invest in maga.com, our free guide that Rob and I put together over at 76 Research to help you kind of navigate this new territory, which I believe, I firmly believe, is going to be filled with winners. And losers, of course, like, you know, Mika and Joe,
Starting point is 00:01:49 worried about whether or not they're going to get fired. Right, time now for a look at some of the other stories making headlines this morning. Comcast, which owns our pain. parent company NBC Universal plans to spin-off. It's cable TV networks. That's according to the Wall Street Journal and people familiar with the situation.
Starting point is 00:02:08 The company will separate off entertainment and news channels, including MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Oxygen, E, sci-fi, and the Golf Channel. So it's been enough. The new cable venture will reportedly have an ownership structure that mirrors Comcasts, a Comcast spokesperson, decline to comment. So Willie, as you look at the screen right there, the big concern that stockholders right now on Wall Street are wondering about before they decide what to do with Comcast
Starting point is 00:02:40 shares is whether Mika is going to have to give up her penthouse perch atop the Comcast building. Since I never had it. When are we going to get invited to the Penn House? Never. I will say really quickly on this, you know, it drudge at the top said, oh, they're not relevant. news melt down all this other stuff. I mean, I could be completely wrong. We could all be fired a year from that. When this happens, you never know what's going to happen. Or tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah, but in this case, though, Willie, what they're doing is what other media firms are doing. You spin off the cable channels, which seven years ago, we're making a ton of money. Now they've got to figure out. I just have to say something. He's totally wrong. Nobody's done it before. This is the first network to actually do it. They're talking about it over at Disney.
Starting point is 00:03:27 We've talked about how that eventually is going to happen at Disney. But he's trying to spin this as though it's normal. It's not normal. It will become normal. But you guys have the distinction in the honor of being the very first cable network that's going to get spun off away from the parent company because you know what? They don't want them anything to do with you. They don't even want to be near you. They don't want to deal with it.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Somebody else's problem. How to make them profitable. Disney, which, by the way, huge media news, Disney has figured out now how to make streaming profitable. had an extraordinary success in the Olympics. So they're talking about spinning this off. Comcast still owns, I think Brian Roberts still owns a third of that. And because Comcast didn't jump into the bidding war like everybody else, throwing stupid money at streaming services and then watch it flop.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Comcast has a ton of cash. So now they spin this off, and they're in a position to, what do you all say? Wait, to, to, to, wait. This is getting interesting. To get a lot of chat, to get a lot of different. Consolidate, but also to just ramp up. And so you get a lot of people, a lot of different channels together. And so whatever that entity is going to be, it'll probably be.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Let me tell you, they're not ramping up your entity, buddy. Not at all. This is what you call winding down, getting the parent company away from the stink of all of you over at MSNBC. Mika and Joe. a lot of cable channels and there'll be in a much better position to scale. To scale it. I didn't. I took one business class at University.
Starting point is 00:05:07 You're pretty clueless, Joe. Okay, so here's the deal. MSNBC is spinning off its cable outlets specifically because of MSNBC. It wants to be as far away from that company as it possibly can be. Those companies don't make much money anymore. Yeah, back in the day, 2011, when Congress came in and bought it, they saw that as the future. They saw that as a cash cow. We'll probably see NBC as the cash cow.
Starting point is 00:05:33 And now they're realizing very quickly that there's too much liability associated with the likes of Mika and Joe and Joy Reed. Rachel Maddow was smart. She got out. She's just down to one day a week collecting some ridiculous sum. That won't continue. The new owners will say, bye-bye, Rachel. keep doing your little podcast over there. We don't need this headache.
Starting point is 00:05:55 We don't need to pay this much money. Bye-bye, read. It's over for joy. Like, just over. In fact, it should have been over a long, long time ago. I think we all know that. As for Joe and Mika, now what's interesting with these two is Joe is very savvy politically.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I mean, did you notice the day after the election how he suddenly showed up in a suit and tie and started talking about how he was this southern white male conservative Like he's, you know, making a run for Tucker spot or something. Totally, totally different persona. All of a sudden he's like, oh, yeah, you know, it wasn't really good how far out on the woke curve everybody got. Excuse me?
Starting point is 00:06:35 Just exactly who are you? Well, he knew because on October 31st, the company announced its earnings and Comcast and NBC said it's very possible that we will look to spin off these cable entities, including Oprah's network, including MSNBC, C&MBC, C&M. NBC, et cetera. One, because the business is just dead. These are not businesses that you want to be in. So Joe can, like, tuck it up as much as he wants. He's trying to put out a good face. He's like, you know, it would be great. I don't really know much about business. But, hey, if we're streamlined, you know, maybe we can actually be more profitable, et cetera. No, what they're going to do is they're
Starting point is 00:07:10 going to bleed you for all their cash. They're going to focus on their streaming business, which is making money that doesn't have the stink around it that you guys have single-hand. I mean, with the help of Joy and Rachel and a few others, but you've really managed to do some damage. And I realize your hat and hand down there in Mar-A-Lago trying to make good with the former president and soon-to-be president again. But listen, no one, no one has forgotten this. Here's Joe Scarborough just weeks ahead of the election. Acting like this was completely do-or-die-or-die. What was do-or-die?
Starting point is 00:07:48 For him? For Mika. Everybody else over at MSNBC, not do or die for the nation the way he rented. You can't meet. Listen, if they voted for Trump in 16, whatever. They voted for Trump in 20. They knew exactly what they were doing. If they vote for Donald Trump in 2024, and I've said it on my show, I'll say it here.
Starting point is 00:08:14 They're knowingly voting for a fascist. They're voting for a racist. They're voting for somebody. that wants to put this country 200 years in the back. And so I'm not trying to figure them out. I'm trying to figure out how we get people out who love democracy, who love freedom, who love the rights of all Americans,
Starting point is 00:08:42 how to get them to the voting booth, because that's how we save our country. Wow. Okay, so really? And yet days later, you're on set saying, well, we kind of screwed up because we didn't understand this woke thing. And then you go begging Donald Trump to have some kind of line of communication as though he's, I don't know, North Korea. Joe and I went to Marilago to meet personally with President-elect Trump. It was the first time we have seen him in seven years.
Starting point is 00:09:17 You get it, right? They're like, oh my gosh, our company's going to spin off and no one's going to want to pay our salaries. Right? Like the joke about Mika's penthouse that Joe made. That wasn't entirely a joke. Like, she won't have the penthouse anymore. I don't know. Like, look, they'll probably do fine in the podcast arena.
Starting point is 00:09:40 They'll have to start all over. We've done it. Listen, we've done it here. What do you think the Trish Regan show has done? And it's incredible, right? It's important. Make sure you subscribe, like, share all that stuff. Because we're coming up on 500,000. I just started doing this show live with you guys about a year and a half ago.
Starting point is 00:09:56 And yeah, I had to start over and I had to learn something entirely new. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. One, I'm my own boss. Two, you know, I've gotten to know so many of you. And you're wonderful. Thank you for your patience today. I wanted to make sure that we had that sound of Mika and Joe saying, they may be fired. I thought that was worth holding out for, but this is a whole new ballgame.
Starting point is 00:10:21 And maybe they could do that, but I think they're going to hang on for dear life. They're going to keep trying to collect the pretty paycheck. And somebody's going to say, this isn't worth it. It's not worth the headache. Why do I want to deal with this? Now I've got the FCC breathing down my throat because that's going to happen. You got Brendan Carr over there who's coming in his head of the FCC under Donald Trump. And they're going to say this is ridiculous. I mean, you people are spouting real nonsense. real misinformation, fake news on steroids, and somebody's going to be held accountable. Brian Roberts just doesn't want it to be him.
Starting point is 00:10:55 So again, the story breaking that Comcast is going forward with its $7 billion spin-off, I don't know if they're even going to get $7 billion for this company, I'll tell you. Nobody wants to touch it. It's like a freaking hot potato. Really? Like, who wants it? You want to deal with that baggage? No, thank you.
Starting point is 00:11:11 So lots of stuff going down. They are interestingly keeping, it seems, Telemundo, the local TV stations, the broadcast network, and Bravo, which you see on the screen if you're watching on YouTube live right now, you can see those are, I believe the ladies on Bravo there, or perhaps actually, forgive me that, maybe E. But the Housewife series apparently is a hit, and they want to keep the hits and get rid of oxygen, get rid of MSNBC, get rid of E, and get rid of sci-fi. And Joe thinks that this is a good thing. You know, somehow they'll be able to streamline the company
Starting point is 00:11:50 and all will be better, except it won't. It won't, right? A quick reminder, we get the shop up and running. Trish Regan. Dot Shop, if you're interested in getting maybe some march ahead of the holidays, like your coffee cup for your dye, or maybe your American flag patriot hat, designed, actually, by yours truly. But this is really remarkable. I mean, you saw the other day how they admitted that they went down, of course, to Mar-a-Lago.
Starting point is 00:12:19 This was after having said just the day before that if you voted for Trump, you were effectively a Nazi. And then he says that the news network that is most critical of him should be taken off the air. This is not a reach. I could go back and talk about Nazi Germany, and I do it without any concerns whatsoever. If people can't start drawing the parallels, well, you're just stupid or you have your head in the sand or you're one of them. Over the past week, Joe and I have heard from so many people, from political leaders to regular citizens, deeply dismayed by several of President-elect Trump's cabinet selections, and they are scared. Last Thursday, we expressed our own concerns on this broadcast and even said we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the president-elect himself. On Friday, we were given the opportunity to do just that.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Joe and I went to Mar-a-Lago to meet personally with President-elect Trump. It was the first time we have seen him in seven years. Now, we talked about a lot of issues, including abortion, mass deportation, threats of political retribution against political opponents, and media outlets. We talked about that a good bit. And it's going to come as no surprise. Because you see they're terrified that somehow they'll be held accountable for all the misinformation that they've put forth. And it's been misinformation. I'm sorry, but when the New York Times tries to tell you that wages are going up and they don't bother to report real wages,
Starting point is 00:13:53 which are adjusted for inflation, and they try and present that as fact, and then they go on MSNBC there, and Mika and Joe are trying to say, oh, yeah, you know, this is all in your head. The economy is doing great, and wages are doing great. It's like, no, they're not doing great because you know what, we have that much inflation. So even if your wages go up four or five percent, it doesn't counter the fact that you have a 30% increase in gas prices or 22% increase in food prices. So there's been plenty of misinformation and there's been dark misinformation. For example, the Nazi, the World War II comparisons, that's pretty scary stuff. And then they wake up and they realize none of it mattered.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Absolutely none of it mattered because guess what? Nobody is watching MSNBC other than the other than that. maybe in bits and pieces, for example, on this show, right? Thank you for being here on this show. They came to this realization just yesterday on set, as probably word was circulating, that they were doomed, they were getting spun off, and the parent wants nothing to do with them. Listen to this.
Starting point is 00:14:54 New research shows 1 in 5 adults regularly get their news from influencers on social media. The number is even higher, younger Americans with almost 40% under the age of 30 getting their news from those sources. According to the Pew Research Center, the social media site X remains the most widely accessed platform, followed by Instagram and YouTube. I mean, that comes obviously for political news. And Mike, that's the challenge. You grew up in a newsroom like Jean grew up in a newsroom.
Starting point is 00:15:32 I mean, that's a lot of challenge. That's a challenge for a lot of mainstream media sources is do they make themselves relevant again to hear 20% of adults who actually get influencers on social media? I don't know how they. Maybe somebody who makes baskets. You know what? People that they actually trust. People that don't have their handout constantly. I mean, you saw Reverend Sharpton right on that set.
Starting point is 00:15:57 And you saw him as Joe Scarborough was just going on. on a rampage there saying you can't vote for Trump. Reportedly, Al Sharpton got $500,000 from the Kamla campaign for his organization just days before he interviewed her for CNBC. That's a little disturbing. Reportedly, Oprah Winfrey got not $1 million, but $2.5 million for interviewing Kamala Harris
Starting point is 00:16:26 for her program. Oprah Winfrey, of course, having the oxygen network, another Comcast property. So you're looking at this and saying, well, why would anybody believe you guys? You're just so damn selfish and self-interested. And then because you realize, guess what, America's not with you, and you finally wake up and smell the coffee,
Starting point is 00:16:49 you go down to Mar-a-Lago. And guess what? Your viewers, the few that you had, hate you even more. Take a look at this. Rating's just in from that show where they volunteered. They went down to Mar-a-Lago. and we see that there was a nosedive. Literally, people were sitting at home and turned them off.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Because the only audience they've courted is this audience that's filled with rage and hate that basically they have inspired. And so then when you find out they're actually willing to court the enemy, maybe you don't think so much about it. Maybe you don't think so much about them. Maybe you actually think, I've been duped, I've been fooled. These people are nothing but.
Starting point is 00:17:31 a bunch of phonies. And guess what? You would be right, ladies and gentlemen. Phony they are. Take a look at these numbers. They dove. Nilsen Rating show 145,000 viewers turned off MSNBC in the 7am hour just as Mika Brzezinski said, guess what?
Starting point is 00:17:48 We went to Mar-a-Lago. Ha-ha-ha-ha. You know, typically in morning television, the first hour is the toughest, and then you build and you build and you build, and then you hand off for the dayside, a nice big, fat number. that's not what happened. 38% of the audience in the key 25 to 54 age demographic, which is pretty big as a, you know, it's a big deal. It's what they sell in cable TV.
Starting point is 00:18:13 For advertisers, they all tuned out. And apparently they hobbled together a few more viewers before they left the air at 9 a.m., but it's not good. It's not good because everyone now knows the phonies that they are. And so do the bosses. The bosses know. Not only are they phony's their liabilities.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Donald Trump promising to sue for billions. MSNBC is part of that club, right? But if it's not the lawsuits, it's the threat of the FCC, which no longer cares about such stupid stuff like their number two priority. Brendan Carr tweeted this out. He's getting rid of this. Number two priority at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' FCC is to have diversity, equity, inclusion represented on television all the time.
Starting point is 00:19:01 I'm sorry, like, is this why Joy Reid has a job? Is this a DEI mandate? Because she's not very good. She's not very smart. She's not very informed. This is a woman who's actually trying to encourage people not to meet with their relatives on Thanksgiving if they dare to vote for Trump. Why? Because she's going to be out of a job?
Starting point is 00:19:20 How about Oprah? I mean, Oprah, who's collecting reportedly two and a half million. This is according to, ladies and gentlemen, the New York Times, which didn't lead with it. No, no, no, no. You would actually have to go over to the Fox website to see anybody leading with it. I think they got a kick out of it. Leading with it, meaning just the article, the article itself. They said, Comcast to spin off cable networks. And this comes as, what do you know, they reported Kamala Harris burned through one and a half billion dollars in 15 weeks.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Aren't you glad she's not burning through your money right now? I mean, she still is, actually. She's got a little bit longer. But think about that. Crazy. And it turns out that burning through the money included burning through none other than money for her influencers. Look at that. Oprah Town Hall cost Harris campaign far more than initially claimed. In fact, it actually cost somewhere in the vicinity, according to the New York Times, $2.5 million. Commodore Harris paid $2.5 million to have a year to have a
Starting point is 00:20:31 YouTube interview with Oprah Winfrey, which honestly, guys, like, I mean, we just started it a year and a half ago, but I'm not running for president or anything. We do better in many of our shows than that thing did on Oprah Winfrey's channel. I mean, that was one giant waste of money. And then Oprah still won't admit to any of this. This is according to sources from the New York Times, Okay? And then, you know, the Washington Examiner went through all the FEC election records and found the one million. They're saying it's actually much worse. It's, it's two and a half million. Oprah, good morning. No, no, no. Didn't take a thing. Hey, Oprah. Good morning. How are you, darling? You're looking very good. How do you think the election went?
Starting point is 00:21:17 Not talking about the election. Thank you very much. Oh, is it true that they paid you a million dollars for the endorsement for Kamala? Not true. Not true. Okay. No, because it's two and a half. What do you think about all the celebrities with their mass accident? Do you think Prince Harry's going to lose his visa now that Trump's president? That's TMZ having a little fun. Two and a half million dollars.
Starting point is 00:21:42 Ladies and gentlemen, there's something truly wrong with that. I mean, truly wrong with it. I can't express how wrong it is. Truly, I mean, as a journalist, you know what? You get a presidential candidate. That's a big deal, right? That's a big deal to get that interview. You don't have them pay.
Starting point is 00:21:58 to do the interview. I mean, that is like, beyond the beyond. There was the incident with the reporter in Philadelphia for the black-owned radio station. Remember, Joe Biden did an interview with her, and apparently they gave her some sample questions, which she then used, and then she went on CNN and volunteered. Yeah, they gave me the questions. First of all, no one gives you the questions, okay? That's like, journalism 101. No one gives you the questions. I mean, it should never even be questioned that you're going to get paid by a presidential candidate, and not disclose that? I mean, that is unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:22:34 I'm just saying like that. So you wonder why people are like over it. You know what? We got advertisers on our show here on the Trish Ruegan show. And I always tell you, okay, you know what? And at some point we'll get to balance of nature. Believe me, at some point in this show, we'll get there. And we may get to gold as well.
Starting point is 00:22:50 But I tell you, okay, this is an advertiser. And you know what? We have people that even come on the show. And they're part of groups that, I mean, we had to, for example, the guy who's the CEO of American Heart for Gold on, right, the other day. Very interesting conversation. I love those guys because guess what? They make all this possible.
Starting point is 00:23:07 But it's not like we're hiding it. And then to think they would do this with a presidential candidate, I mean, it's just sort of mind-boggling. These people are not journalists. There are people masquerading as journalists. And I'm not going to sit here and pretend I'm one either. I mean, I am, but I'm an opinionated journalist. And I think there's a distinction.
Starting point is 00:23:28 I think everybody has an opinion, frankly. I don't really think you can be a journalist without having some kind of opinion. That's part of what we're doing here, soul-searching to figure out what we think on issues so that we can best communicate them to you. But we're going to tell you the truth here. This is just really despicable, disgusting. I mean, Kamala Harris herself was pretty gross in how they spent all this money, $1.5 billion, ladies and gentlemen, in 15 weeks' time.
Starting point is 00:23:54 they spent two and a half million on three digital agencies because they wanted online influencers. You know, I somehow got signed up with some digital agency, which I don't use. But I see some of the traffic that comes my way, and I can tell you they were paying for people to do commercial spots, and I was like, this is weird. And they were bad, right?
Starting point is 00:24:20 Like they were badly, badly done because they wanted you to say this, and they wanted you to say that, and you had to make sure you had the tag for Kamal in the end. And I just got a kick out of it. I might have it somewhere in my files. I know I took photos because I thought this might be some interesting intel for everybody to understand,
Starting point is 00:24:37 but the point being that this is what they were doing, okay? So it was bought and paid for, and everybody knows that these people are bought and paid for, and everybody's over it. And guess what? Somebody else can pay those big salaries. NBC shareholders don't want to anymore. So Mika and Joe, we wish you luck. Joy Reed, we wish you luck. I'll tell you, Rachel,
Starting point is 00:24:58 Madda, you are a smart cookie for getting out when you did, you know. I like to think I'm a smart cookie too for getting out when I did. Make sure you subscribe, share, like, all that good stuff. You know the other company that's going to be facing the music quite soon would be ABC News? ABC News, which is owned by Disney. You heard Joe Scarborough say, oh, Disney's done this too. Well, Disney hasn't done this. Disney would like to do this. I mean, believe me, you want this one? On your books is a liability at Disney these days?
Starting point is 00:25:30 I don't think so. My generation fought tooth and nail so that you would not have to hear that kind of speak again. You would not have to hear or be. We fought to make sure we fought and said to people, if you're a stand-up, The only comic that can hit everybody really is Don Rickles. You're the only one who gets to do that.
Starting point is 00:25:56 But everybody else has to be better and smarter and funny. Well, he was hilarious. This guy's not even funny. That's the point. That's the point. But my other point is just know we fought to make sure you couldn't do that. Talk about women. Talk to women the way people are talking.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Talk to men, talking to gay folks, talking to anybody who is different. visually. You didn't get to say stuff to them like that. Now folks have lost them on. Okay, she's talking about the comedian, right? They came under fire at Madison Square Garden, but I'm sorry. Like, comedians, that's part of the gig, right? Like, you make fun of everybody. You're an equal opportunist in terms of making fun of people. And here she is, the comedian trying to pretend like that doesn't exist. Well, it doesn't exist if it involves conservatives, because if you're a conservative comedian, ah, game over. Listen, these people... My generation fought.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Okay. Well, guess what? Well, you're going through all the things that we want to talk about in the time that we have here. But, I mean, just to sort of wrap up why you're staying. I mean, you said in a memo to employees, you've made important and sometimes difficult decisions. You're proud of what you've accomplished. But there's more to accomplish before this transformative work is complete. So, again, what is what's transformative here?
Starting point is 00:27:15 and what is the work that is going to take another perhaps two years or even more, even after you do leave, that needs to get done? Well, the transformative work, of course, is making sure that our cost structure reflects the economic realities of the business, and that includes disruption. Boom, disruption. You heard that. Our no growth businesses and what to do about them. Boom, no growth businesses. What do you do about those cable networks? What do you do about? the view. Particularly the linear business, which we are expansive in our thinking about, and we're going to look expansively about opportunities there because expensive in our thinking, translation, we want
Starting point is 00:27:58 to get rid of these. We want to sever ties with them as soon as humanly possible. Somehow Comcast just beat us to it. Really, it's a business that is going to continue to struggle. Well, let's stop there for a second then and just let me ask you about it. we're talking, I guess, ABC, the network, the stations, but then the cable networks as well. Yes, correct. FX, NatGeo.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Is it possible you would look to sell them? We're going to be expensive. I think if you can interpret what that word means. You know, we're just getting at that work, but we have to be open-minded and an objective about the future of those businesses, yes. Meaning that they're not core. The CEO of Disney saying we're going to be expensive in our thinking. You can interpret that however you want, but basically reality is this.
Starting point is 00:28:41 They want to ditch ABC and all those cable networks as fast as they can over at Disney because they've also, like Comcast figured out, this is not a very good business to be in. And guess what? It's going to be even harder with the new FCC chair. Have you noticed how quiet Whoopi Goldberg has been on the set? Have you noticed how Disney's little snow white ingenue came forward with a massive meacopa? Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. After saying that Trump supporters should never know peace.
Starting point is 00:29:09 and there were a whole bunch of F-bombs along the way. Rachel Zegler, who coined the weird, weird thing that then somehow the Kamala campaign and Timmy Waltz just embraced. Rachel Zegler had to come out with a giant apology. Why? Because it was that serious. Disney was considering firing her, firing her, because she just, right after the election,
Starting point is 00:29:39 with her series of F-bombs, lovely, snow-white, lovely, said that there should be no peace ever for Trump supporters. I mean, these people are like trying to come on, like they want a civil war or something. You think you want that baggage if you're Bob Iger right about now? I guarantee you he does not. I know him.
Starting point is 00:29:59 He's not dumb. He sees the handwriting on the wall. And guess what? There's a new team. And the bogus rhetoric that we had to sit through for the last however many years, nearly eight, basically, those days are over. So they can have TDS all they want over on the view. The reality is this. It's not going to get them anywhere.
Starting point is 00:30:24 They are desperate. Producers as we speak are looking for conservative talent that they can put on the couch. You'd have to be a moron to go on that show. The show that's dying, by the way. they've got a serious case of TDS. One thing that no one's talking about is the fact that Donald Trump won the popular vote. That is why this is a mandate.
Starting point is 00:30:43 It is a mandate by all of America to say, you know what? We got to get with it. We know it's all of America. Take a look. You see the little blue spots? They're like little sparkles. Well, guess what?
Starting point is 00:30:53 This is America. And Joy Behar and the ladies on the couch at the view, better figure that out soon. And by the way, this idea that Trump won with some kind of mandate is not true. I mean, we have information there. He beat Kamala Harris by 1.6%. Joe Biden beat Trump by 4.5%.
Starting point is 00:31:11 And nobody said it was a mandate. So get that out of your lips, out of your mouth. These people were saying it's a mandate. It's not a mandate. And another thing, I have one more thing. Why are all these cabinet members people that he's seen on television? Is you going to put Van der White in their mess? Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I mean, every single one of them is known to us. Anyway, getting back to the reason why it is a mandate, Joy, take a look at the map. You know, they probably aren't showing this around the whole way at ABC News right now. But this is the map, okay? This is the blue. This is the red. That sounds like a mandate to me. The fact that MSNBC is now going to be sold, that kind of speaks a little bit like a mandate to me.
Starting point is 00:31:51 You know what? The bosses have realized not only does this business suck because it's not growing. And we want to be streaming. We want to be where the growth is. We want to be where the profitability and the bigger margins are. Not only does this business really stink, but these egomaniacs that we have to deal with are putting us in serious legal jeopardy, in serious jeopardy with the federal government and the FCC, because this new team is not going to stand for just a bunch of nonsense being spewed 24-7.
Starting point is 00:32:28 That's good. That's good. You know what? We need to get back to some kind of normalcy where you actually do have both sides in America. So ABC realizes it, NBC realizes it so much, it's doing it. World of story. All these people are going to be out, out of positions. Oh, we're making way, way less money. I mean, that's already being talked about right now at CNN. Apparently Chris Wallace left CNN because he didn't like the money. They were canceling his shows. They wanted to pay him nothing. And he said, sorry, I'll see you. That's going to happen over and over and over again. Mark words, I was right on this. Was I not with MSNBC? I was right. I'm going to be right on Disney. I'm generally right. I'm generally right. You know, not to toot my own horn too much.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Anyway, all more reason why you should actually go over to invest in MAGA. Invest in MAGA.com. Of course, this is the company 76 research that I started with my dear friend Rob Horton, and we have sort of a very comprehensive look at how you might be investing in this new landscape right now, invest in MAGA.com. Starting point is 00:35:02 lot of reasons to still be in gold right now. We talk about it in 76 research. I like gold as one of those ways to kind of hedge one's risk, and gold has performed quite nicely over the last year. Whether or not that continues, look, I will say this. I think there's still potential for upside, and you don't have to take my word, Reuters actually did a poll of various analysts, and the expectation is that you probably will see gold hitting $3,000 an ounce within the next year. Now, you know, it's not going to compare to the crazy volatile stuff of Bitcoin, but the reason I like gold in my portfolio is because if the, you know what, hits the fan, so to speak, I want to have my gold. So it's not something I sell or I'm like looking to trade in and out of really
Starting point is 00:35:44 quickly. It's just one of those things that I keep to help bring that stability to my overall portfolio. So those are our friends at American Heart for gold. But listen, this media business is going through a major, major change. CNN just saw its worst ratings in a quarter of a century, the worst ratings they've had in 25 years. Again, because things have changed. Like, it's become more competitive. Authenticity is valued. I mean, we don't have all the bells and whistles here. It's a lot, right, to get the graphics and the music and the lights and the multiple cameras, but you got me. And I get you. And there is a transparency, an honesty, and a roughness, occasionally, right? Especially in the microphone.
Starting point is 00:36:29 don't work. Thank you, Leslie, for always telling me. Listen, like, there's a roughness to it, but I think for whatever reason, Americans are seeking something that's more genuine and less produced. No prompters here, no prompter's here, so that means sometimes you have to sit through my stories, which I know you like, right? But anyway, they're having a tough time at the very controlled, very produced CNN, where they just saw their worst ratings in a quarter of a century. And now Mark Thompson, who's the CEO and he came from the New York Times where they don't pay big TV salaries there in print. He's going around the newsroom and saying, okay, who can I cut and who doesn't need to make $20 million a year? One might be Anderson Cooper.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Also, talent up for potential pay negotiations and pay reductions might include Aaron Burnett. She's very talented. And this one in the middle, I can never remember her name. Anderson Cooper, $20 million a year he's making. They're also looking at Jake Tapper, who reportedly makes $3 million, if you believe, the Daily Mail. And they're looking at, oh, who's, oh, that was Caitlin Collins. The girl in the middle, the girl in the middle, Caitlin Collins. Look, I mean, they don't need to pay all this money to a bunch of people that read prompters.
Starting point is 00:37:52 I mean, the times have changed, and you need people with original thoughts and original reporting. and a little less pomp and circumstance. So the guy figures that out, right? The guy from the New York Times is figuring that out in real time. He's looking at Wolf Blitzer, who allegedly is making $7 million for the Daily Mail. And they're saying, we can do this differently. We can do this differently. We want to do this differently.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Because the reality is people are in different places. Look, we're streaming this live as I speak. I'm on YouTube right now where I am every single day. and also we're streaming on X where advertisers are coming back. What do you know? You know, you would think that advertisers would continue maybe boycotting, like that little Rachel Zegler, you saw her with the mask. She's doing some show in New York City, and, you know, she can't get too close to her fans.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Gosh, no, she's going to keep the mask up, keep the remembrance of Kamala Harris alive and well. Well, people are coming back to X, and the landscape is shifting, has shifted, real time. You're hopefully watching this with some ads in it. You also have my ads that I'm reading. That is a very different thing. You know, when I first came to the podcast model, I was like, what are you talking about? I read an ad. And so I'm like, I'm painful, right? Because I'm like, well, I have to try the product. I have to like the product. Salespeople are like, oh gosh, you know, what do we get into with her? But I think a lot of, a lot of podcasters, you know, they bring that authenticity, and I certainly know I do, because I'm not going to try and push anything on you
Starting point is 00:39:30 that I don't have some faith in or some belief in. But these people over at CNN, you know, they're having a hard time realizing that X has a certain amount of cachet, and that guess what, people have imaginations, and they're kind of enjoying this moment, right? Like making memes. You don't need to pay all these influencers, Kamala Harris, that, well, what was it, the $1.5 billion, The $1.5 billion that she wasted, I mean, incredible. The Kamala campaign is spending all this money, and guess what? You don't really need to do that because if you excite people, if you represent something different than the status quo,
Starting point is 00:40:11 you got a real shot of actually, actually inspiring, and those imaginations take off, and the next thing you know, you're getting free media because people are making things like this. This is the final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the deep, state. We will expel the war mongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists. We will cast out the communist, Marxist, and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will route the fake news media and we will liberate America from these
Starting point is 00:40:43 villains once and for all. Look at that. Okay. So that is, that is the beauty, I think, of, this new medium, right? And that's AI, obviously, obviously. But the old media, they don't really like that. I mean, I think it's sort of fun. Like, they're calling these guys the dream team, and you've seen all these memes with Avengers and all that kind of good stuff. But somebody over at CNN really doesn't like it. That would be one Jake Tapper, who kind of made that clear just yesterday as SpaceX was going down. I mean, amazing, right? Like, Elon, thank you. you're like our shot at space, all right?
Starting point is 00:41:27 Like the government couldn't do it. Elon Musk can. He wants to colonize Mars. He's looking at the optimist robot, which hopefully can do my dishes and cook my food someday, make the bed too. Right? Then we're all that. Anyway, here's Jake Tapper, clearly pretty jealous of the whole thing. Look at this shot right now coming in live.
Starting point is 00:41:45 We got Musk there. We got, I don't recognize everybody. There is President Trump, Senator Bill Haggerty of Tennessee. who is also thought to possibly have a position coming in the administration. Senator Ted Cruz on the left with the shades. Is that Ronnie Jackson on the right with the hat? I can't really tell. What do you make of this?
Starting point is 00:42:07 They fashion themselves on social media as this Legion of Superheroes, this incoming administration, Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., etc., etc. I guess we're adding pictures and names. I know you're now you're looking at me like you mean the Legion of Doom. It's the Marvel universe versus second rate DC, but that's... I mean, if I understood what that meant, I would probably have a better opinion about it. But if we're talking about Musk, talk to me about Musk. What do you think about the role he's playing in this administration?
Starting point is 00:42:37 Okay, so this really bugs them. This really bugs them. But I'm telling you, what's happened is that people have gotten excited about the future. And isn't that a good thing? And they've gotten creative about the future, clearly. And they're saying this is the dream team that's going to save us. Listen, the world needs a little bit of saving right now. We're going to get to that.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Here's this TikToker. Her name is, That's Me, Tiffany. I just, I laughed so hard when I saw this guys. I thought, you know what? I have to show you this. I have to show you this. In the spirit of the Avengers and saving the world, this lady hits the nail on the head.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Is it me? Or do Trump administration picks look like these guys? Tell me if I'm wrong. So she's showing the movie clip. at that's me underscore Tiffany on TikTok. I just somehow stumbled across this. I'm like, you guys got to see this. He putting together a team that can say the world,
Starting point is 00:43:28 just not the economy, the world. The world. Then he got Elon Musk, okay? His role is to see what the government been doing with our tax money, okay? And I'm here for it. Because Elon needs to let me know if they've been spending my money
Starting point is 00:43:41 on illegal immigrants. I want to see how much money they had on those food stamp cards and those vouchers. And if they've been sending my money to the prison so men can get transgender, surgery or you've been using my money on alien experiments UFOs shit top conspiracy theory and you got the house and the Senate man he's taking over the world this team looks like they're going to conquer the world just not the economy
Starting point is 00:44:04 okay they got Elon must to conquer the sky they got Jeff K to conquer the food they got Tom Harmon to conquer the border what's next where's Aquaman because that's all who you're missing he's going to be conquering the ocean and Trump you must be Thanos This is one hell of a team And I'm here for it. A hell of a team, right? Where is Aquaman? Where is Aquaman?
Starting point is 00:44:25 Look, people are excited. Let them have that. Let's believe in America again. Let's believe in this great country. You know, most of the world wouldn't exist. Thank you very much. I guess we'd all be speaking German right about now if it weren't for the United States of America.
Starting point is 00:44:44 And yeah, there's a lot of scary stuff going on in the world, which kind of has people saying, I think we need a little saving. I think we need some Avengers coming in. I think we need a little bit of help because we're not getting it from Joey Boy, who's in the Amazon, lost in the Amazon, can we say, Joe Biden going to G20 and somehow got lost in the middle of the photo op. So here's all these leaders from G20. And watch this clip because the media reporter doesn't quite know what to think.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Here we go. Okay, so they're all gathering. It's Rio de Janeiro. They got the big shendig going on there. And, you know, they've got to take this picture. And for whatever reason, they cannot seem to find Biden, but they go ahead and they somehow take this picture anyway. They don't wait for the quote unquote leader of the free world. So they're like, okay, they're not waiting for Biden. What happened? Here we go, I'm going to show you this. Apparently, the leaders at G20 didn't really notice that Biden wasn't there. They took the picture of the photo up without them. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:46:18 Didn't even wait. Times are changing. How much you want to bet next time? Those same leaders are going to be even doing the dance. All right, that's my shorts feed. Kind of fun. Make sure you follow my shorts' feet if you don't. But basically, we get some troubles going on.
Starting point is 00:46:40 We get some concerns. I mean, obviously between Russia, Ukraine and the tension that's building there, Ukraine has fired UK cruise missiles at Russia for the first time. The strikes were approved in response to Russia having deployed North Korean troops in its war against Ukraine. And we had heard some agitating from Zelensky as recently as a couple of weeks ago saying he wanted to have that authorization. He's now been given that authorization. And people are quite worried that this could bubble up into something else. I mean, in Sweden, for example, they have handed out some.
Starting point is 00:47:16 pamphlets on how to how to prepare for war and we're looking at this going you know how can this be why are we in a situation like this and it's in part in my viewpoint because of extremely poor leadership joe biden was and is too old for the job Kamala harris has checked out doing god knows what and you don't have an intelligent enough he will don't get me wrong he may be intelligent he's just not got the best in the way of instincts by way of Anthony Blinken, who is our Secretary of State. So historically, he's actually been wrong on quite literally everything, like just flat out wrong on everything.
Starting point is 00:47:57 And he has been an advisor to Biden for many, many years, and so as we look at the challenges we're now facing, it's no wonder, it's no wonder people are saying and praying for something like this. This is the final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the deep state. We will expel the war mongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists. We will cast out the communist, Marxist, and fascists.
Starting point is 00:48:24 We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media, and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all. Wow. So people are excited. There's change that's going to happen. Of course, if you're one of the woke ones over at MSNBC, you don't like any of this. And they've been perpetuating this narrative that somehow this wokeism needs to live on. I'm not really sure.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Apparently, they didn't get the memo that their company's being sold, right? They just missed that one. Jen Saki kind of nosediving straight into that one. I'm going to show you a clip. But here's another company that this company just doesn't get where Americans are right now. Either that or they're trying to like appeal to I don't know some kind of executive advertising creative style class. This is none other than Jaguar.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Remember, they produce cars. I don't know what to say other than I think that they may be channeling Bud Light. Let me go back to this. I want to make sure the audio is work. Okay, now it is. You see? I told you. You get it?
Starting point is 00:49:42 You know, there's a few bumps along the way. Anyway, this is Jaguars commercial. You're like, wait, what? Isn't this like some kind of fashion company out of Milan's commercial? No, this is Jaguar. So Jaguar is, as I said, a sports car company, luxury car company. They also make Range Rover. And somehow they're out with this weirdo commercial that has nothing to do.
Starting point is 00:50:04 I guess there's a car. No, there's not even a car underneath that. I guess that's just a rock. So why would Jaguar want to channel Bud Light? Is this their way of saying, okay, F you to all you Trump supporters? This is a bizarre commercial. I'm not entirely sure why they want to be the next Bud Light or target for that matter, target reporting earnings.
Starting point is 00:50:27 It's a disaster. We know what happened to Bud Light. That story did not end well. Now did it? So who are these morons in the creative department that are trying to make a car into God knows what? I'm curious. I mean, who are they marketing? Maybe it's Oprah?
Starting point is 00:50:44 I mean, Oprah drives a rangeover, right? Made by... Do you think Prince Harry's going to lose his visa now that Trump's. president. Well, she's got a spiffy range over there. Is that who they're trying to market to? Because I don't really think that that plays in Peoria, so to speak, but maybe their group is just so affluent, they don't care. Maybe they're just trying to market to the gensakis. That's Pepperman Patty. Remember her from the Biden administration before KJP took over? She was a good PR person, because I guess she was just willing to lie through her teeth at all times.
Starting point is 00:51:19 I look at what she just did and I'm like, okay, Jaguar, you really want to be a bud light? Or are you just trying to curry favor with Oprah and Jen Saki? Why would you make that? Here we go. There's obviously a lot of soul searching right now going on within the Democratic Party. And that's a good thing. But what I worry about is that in the course of all that soul searching, some Democrats might reach the wrong sweeping conclusions.
Starting point is 00:51:41 And there are a lot of issues that fall into that bucket. But one in particular that stuck out to me is transgender rights. Republicans found hundreds of millions of dollars on anti-trans ads this election cycle, including one that showed Vice President Harris talking about government funding for gender reaffirming care for prisoners and detainees. If that sounds like a particularly obscure issue, it is because it applies to a tiny group of people. And it's also a policy that, by the way, was in place during the first Trump presidency. Another one of the lines that ran over and over again in those ads and throughout right-wing media is this idea that America is faced with a crisis of boys playing in girls' sports.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Now, these ads created this perception that the issues of trans kids playing sports was dominating schools across the country, which is completely false. Some people got pulled into that argument. I mean, immediately after the election, Congressman Seth Moulton told the New York Times that, quote, Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face. I have two little girls. I don't want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete.
Starting point is 00:52:47 But as a Democrat, I'm supposed to be afraid to say that. And then last week in Congressman Moulton came on this network to discuss those comments. I was just speaking authentically as a dad about one of many issues where I think we're just out of touch with the majority of voters. And I stand by my position. Maybe I didn't get all the words exactly right. but the point is that the backlash I've received proves my point that we can't even have these discussions as a party. Look, reflection is good, but if that were actually an issue at thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate. But there are just incredibly few examples of transgender girls playing in youth sports.
Starting point is 00:53:32 And when we see those examples, there isn't evidence that these kids are a threat to safety or fairness. Okay, so that's Jen Saki, perhaps trying to continue this movement on in her misinformed way. And she's just so flat out wrong. I mean, number one, right? Let's just be honest, okay, male athletes typically are better than female athletes. Like, you can be the bottom of the bottom as a male athlete and like skyrocket to the top if you're competing against women because, well, you know what? Like, I hate to go back to bio 101, but I will.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Guess what? Those guys have testosterone that the girls don't have and aren't allowed to take supplements for, right? So all that testosterone leads to better muscle development, which does tend to lead to being better, for the most part, at sports. I had a friend, like, who said, my kids are rowers, and she was, like, talking about her son. She's like, oh, he's doing so great. You know, I don't understand why he's not moving up. He beats all the girls.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Like, but of course he beats the girls. Like, I'm sorry. Like, this is just what it is, all right? So let's start with the premise that typically most often, boy athletes, naturally born men, tend to be physically better than naturally born female. On top of that, she's like, oh, well, we don't have to care about this because it's so rare. It's, first of all, all it takes is one naturally born male to win the trophy and therefore take it away from the naturally born female, okay? all it takes is one. They just had an incident up in New Hampshire, my home state, where this is going on.
Starting point is 00:55:07 We're hearing about these things popping up every single week. So it just takes one. So so what? It's where you know what? That doesn't change the fact that it's not fair to that little girl who should have gotten the trophy or teenage girl or college girl. And you know what else? There's a lot of things that are not abundant. Thank God.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Murder, for example, right? Murder tends to be rare, but do we sit there and say, well, because it's so rare, we're not gonna actually do anything about it? No, we do something because in the spirit of fairness, in the spirit of what is right, you have to do something as a society. So her argument is fundamentally flawed. And yet this is what the likes of Jaguar, Range Rover, are trying to cater to right now,
Starting point is 00:56:02 somehow we have to be all accepting all in. It's sort of bizarre. Listen, Jenny, peppermint, Patty, this is why you guys lost and you're going to continue to lose. I mean, if I'm, you know, looking back and say, well, okay, fine, do it. Do it again. Do it all day long. Just keep going with that trans stuff that Hillary Clinton warned you about. I got nothing.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Believe me, nothing against any poor soul that is that mixed up and struggling. I mean, that's awful, okay? And I don't want to be cruel or unkind in any way, shape, or form. But I'm a realist, whether it's in terms of a company that wants to make money and make profits. I mean, Jaguar at least has the luxury of not having that sort of Middle American demo that they're going after. But if I'm also a politician, I want to win, do I not? I don't want to sit there and spout a bunch of nonsense that people feel really increasingly uncomfortable. If I'm Target, maybe I don't come out with my whole line of tucket swimsuits that I put on, you know, the front, in the front of the store for all the moms to see.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Because, you know, America's just not there. That's going to result in bad stuff for Target, which is exactly what happened. Target shares tumble, ladies and gentlemen, on their earnings miss. They had sluggish demand, but you know what? You can't blame it on the economy this time. You just can't because guess who did great? Walmart. This is like the tale of two retailers. You got earnings that absolutely stunk at Target. Shares are off like some 20% in trading today because guess what? They're not increasing the way
Starting point is 00:57:39 Walmart is increasing. And I'm going to go back to you know, there's a lot of flaws with the company. I know they screwed up their inventory. I know that they were doing the buy one, get one free things, which weren't typically what they traditionally had done. We talked to Jerry Storch. about a year ago, he's the former vice chairman of the company, and he had a litany of things that he was really worried about outside of what they were doing with the tucket swimsuits. But, I mean, I don't think they can ever live that down. Alex Stein, creator on YouTube, did a phenomenal, phenomenal take on it.
Starting point is 00:58:11 I want to show you. This is not. You see this? It's cut friendly. You see? Yeah, I saw it to talk to. We're a Tarjeet. checking out their tuck-friendly pride collection.
Starting point is 00:58:33 That's right, guys. Extra crotch coverage, tuck-friendly construction. Thank you, Target. So, yeah, you know, and he goes on, it's actually this really funny clip, but I'm not surprised that Target is having this struggle. I think that they didn't keep their eye on the prize, so to speak. They got distracted, kind of like the Kamala Harris campaign,
Starting point is 00:58:51 kind of like Joe Biden, they got distracted by all this other noise. And so instead of focusing on their core customers, instead of focusing on what they did well, they kind of went off in all these other directions, and guess what, chickens are coming home to roost. Their earnings were terrible, okay? And their stock is getting whacked, understandably so,
Starting point is 00:59:10 because when you lose sight of what matters, you know, if you're a retailer, that means selling things, not stocking up on tucket swimsuits that you can't ever get rid of and take a ton of damage control for, listen, like this is the real world, okay? The real world cares about things
Starting point is 00:59:27 like profits, cares about things like ratings, cares about things like not spewing constant misinformation and therefore getting yourself in trouble with the likes of the FCC. That's the real world. All right, that's what we care about over at 76 research. Invest in MAGA. Invest in MAGA.com. I'm telling you, make sure that you're out in front of this one. Quick shout out for my friends. Again, American Heart for Gold up to $15,000 in free silver. If you text Trish, my name, to $6,000, 5-5-3-2-6-55-3-2. Starting point is 01:00:09 So take a look at that. Again, 1-844-495-11-1-15 is their number there. And we are, you know, we are just constantly sort of amazed by the stupidity, the stupidity of the left. And for whatever reason, they just can't get out of their own way. I have a feeling that Jen Saki, who's on MSNBC, is going to be another one to go. She continues pushing that nonsense and that garbage. They're going to cut her loose.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Because, as I said, as we began the program, did we not? There's big changes on the way, big, big changes. And, you know, Mika and Joe were about to find it out. Big changes, and it couldn't happen soon enough. Because this industry is changing. And as a result of those changes, you know what? You've got to plan for the future in a meaningful way, which is why, yes, Comcast has just greenlit the $7 billion spinoff of NBC Universal's cable channels affecting the likes of MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Oxygen by Oprah E, SciFi, and the Gulf Channel.
Starting point is 01:01:17 They generated some $7 billion in revenue in the 12 months ending. It's September 30th. but the feeling is they just can't generate the revenue for the future. And you want to know why? Because everybody is cutting the cord. Cutting the cord because, you know what? It's a new day. I told you this would happen.
Starting point is 01:01:39 I promised this would happen. The day has come. Thank you, Billy. Thank you for your kind comments, Billy Lynn, writing us. It is great. I'm seeing, yeah, I agree, Don Baca, there's a lot of unemployable people in mainstream media these days. But hey, we'll see.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Joe, good to hear that. Scranton loves me. That's great. I see so many familiar faces and new ones here. Oh, a peace of my mind. Thank you for tuning in. And thank you for being patient. I wanted to make sure we had that great little bit of sound for you
Starting point is 01:02:12 because, as I said, new stuff coming. And maybe, maybe. I don't think they'll get fired. I think they'll make less money, but I don't think they'll get fired. but you never know. We could all be fired a year from now. We'll never know what this happens. You never know what's going to happen.
Starting point is 01:02:26 You never know. But if you watch this show, you might have a clue. It's good to see you all. I'll see you back here live again tomorrow.
