And we're live. Good to have you guys all here a little bit earlier than normal, but lots of news to get to on this Monday.
I'm Trish Rigen. This is the Trish Riegan show. And have you noticed, have you noticed how the left is effectively doing itself in?
I mean, they can't get out of their own way. They are their own worst enemy. Thank goodness. I mean, it's still a little scary, right?
Because you're playing with fire, so to speak. We're playing with socialism. Socialism is never something that we want here in this country.
and yet you look at all of the sort of activism around it right now.
It's wild.
It's wild.
I mean, they're just seeing crazy stuff,
and I think ultimately it's going to hurt them and hurt them badly.
In the interim, we still have other things to worry about.
For example, who's even voting in these elections?
I get to tell you, Hakeem Jeffries over the weekend, boy, did he get caught.
He got caught with his pants down here.
This is pretty good, you guys, because Hakeem went on to CNN thinking,
okay, this is going to be an easy, peasy kind of interview.
And in some ways, it sort of was, because I would have challenged him a little bit more.
on this one, but nonetheless, it is CNN. So Hakeem goes on to CNN, and they ask him specifically
about New Jersey, New Jersey, which we talked about last week, 6,600 people getting somehow
registered to vote. Oh, it was just a glitch, just a glitch, yeah, you know, it just kind of happens
now and then. We register 6,600 non-citizens, and we want to, you know, get a pat on the back
because we came out and told you so. After 400 of them voted, whoo. Anyway, Hakeem Jeffries,
yet he went on to CNN and they asked him point blank.
Hey, Hakeem, you know, what about the 400 people?
I mean, that is historic.
Let me just say that's historic.
We've never actually had 400 people vote like that in an election before.
So that's kind of a big deal, something that everybody should be concerned about.
But not Hakeem.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
No.
Watch.
Your next door neighbor, New Jersey, just disclosed that 6,600 non-citizens were mistakenly registered to vote there from 2023.
at 2024. 400 of them actually voted in elections since then. It is a small number compared to the
7 million voters in New Jersey, and there's no evidence that that swayed any election. But this is
one of the most significant disclosures of non-citizen registration. Democrats have repeatedly said
that non-citizen voting doesn't happen. It happened. Is this a problem? Yeah. I think that I continue
to have confidence in state and local authorities in making sure that there's going to be a free
and fair election in November. And if modest or minor challenges emerge, such as the one that was
disclosed voluntarily by the authorities in New Jersey, that it is immediately corrected. And that's
what I expect will continue to happen. Unfortunately, what we've seen from Donald Trump is that...
Sorry, I just have to stop it because he's going to try and hijack it.
And he does and he takes it in this whole other direction.
We'll watch that too because it's worth understanding how little pushback he gets from the actual reporter
that's supposed to be doing this interview.
But, you know, they're all effectively extensions, if you ask me, of the Democrat Party.
So it is what it is.
But he's immediately like just refusing.
The question was, hey, like, isn't that a problem?
Isn't it a problem?
Now, how hard it would it have been for little Hakeem to do?
just said, yeah, to have said, yeah, it's a problem. I mean, at least be transparent, at least
be honest. Tim Cain, I'm going to show you that one too, because he did a heck of a better job
when it came to this. Anyway, we continue here just because you've got to understand the
level of what we're dealing with here and the refusal of the CNN journalist to actually
get him back on task, get him back to the question. In this particular case, Republicans have
adopted voter suppression as an electoral strategy because they have failed to
actually deliver on making life more affordable for the American people.
It was Donald Trump who promised to lower costs on day one.
But we know that costs haven't gone down in this country, costs have gone up.
It was Donald Trump, I believe, who said that he was elected not to start wars,
endless wars in the Middle East, but to stop them and then turned around and has gotten us
involved in this reckless war of choice in Iran that has skyrocketed gas prices on the American
people.
By the way, it was Donald Trump who said,
said they were going to love and cherish Medicaid,
and then Republicans enacted the largest cut to Medicaid in American history,
ripping health care away from more than 14 million Americans.
They have nothing to run on.
We're going to run on fighting for an affordable America.
Mr. Leader, before I let me...
Okay, so she doesn't bother saying anything else.
One of you guys is saying, like, Hakeem is a boob, and I got to tell you,
I agree with that.
He's just absolutely awful.
And, you know, look, I guess he's doing what he's doing,
in that he completely ignores the question.
think sometimes, you know, you're better off. You really are just addressing the elephant in the
room. Like, why can't he say, gee, yeah, that was sort of too bad, what happened. And we want to
make sure that that never happens again. Or maybe be like Tim Kane, because Tim Kane actually
came out and said, yeah, maybe we actually need voter ID everywhere. By the way, how hard is that?
Why is that so controversial? Seriously, you know the story about the Olive Garden, right? The
Olive Garden came out with a tweet about a week and a half ago and said, if you want to eat the all
you can eat pasta, you better show that government verified ID for the pasta bar, the all you can
eat pasta bar, somehow we can't even require an ID when you go to vote in an election. Like,
that's messed up. Okay, that's really, really messed up. And we're not asking for the moon here.
We just want you to be who you are. And then, by the way, we'd like to make sure that there are no
glitches, such as there were in New Jersey, because those glitches can actually undermine
everybody's confidence in the entire process. Don't you think. Uh-huh. Anyway, this guy, he is a boob. He's a
disaster. I guess it's good he's on their side and not ours. I mean, if we had him, you know, I might just
have to go home at that point. Anyway, Tim Cain. Tim Cain actually sounding like an adult in the room.
Don't forget, this is the guy that ran alongside Hillary Clinton. I always get him confused with
the other Tim. They seem to be kind of different. I mean, they just look alike, right? There's
Tim that's associated with feeding our future little Timmy out there, tampon, Tim,
whatever you want to call him out in Minnesota.
And then there's Tim Kane from Virginia.
And he went on this show.
Let's see.
I'm trying to remember which show it was.
He was on national television over the weekend and actually came right out and said that
he was for voter ID.
I mean, you've got to listen through the spiel a little bit.
to really hear it, but we're going to do that together.
I want to make sure I'm not hearing things, okay?
I'm pretty sure this guy just said he was for voter ID.
And I'm like, wow, I mean, a Democrat who actually is unsensible on something, one little thing.
Can we get more where that came from?
Here we go with the other Tim, not little Timmy tampon Tim, but the other Tim that ran with Hillary.
It's funny because, you know, one ran with, they're like right now of Sandra Cowsding.
Can we get another Tim, please?
Tim with Kamala, Tim with Hillary, and then, you know, this is the Hillary one. Watch.
It wasn't that individuals were trying to vote illegally.
There was a computer glitch that when they registered for driver's licenses and said they were non-citizens,
the glitch got them mistakenly classified as citizens and registered them to vote.
And about 400 did vote in the 4 million New Jersey residents who voted in 2024.
I think the right answer here is voter ID laws passed at the state level.
as you know, Virginia has a voter ID law that's sort of been acceptable whether our Democrats or Republicans, it's worked.
Wow. As you know, Virginia has the voter ID law. Yeah. And it's worked. I mean, it doesn't have to be, imagine this. It doesn't actually have to be a partisan thing. You can actually be in favor
of having voter ID, regardless of what side of the aisle you're on.
I mean, yeah, I know.
He went with the glitch thing.
I see a James 27-6-4.
I know.
I know.
He went there at first.
But if you read between the lines or if you listen between the, you know, the BS and whatever,
I'm pretty sure midway through, he actually said that voter ID is a good thing.
And considering that we had 6,600 people that are not citizens in this country,
how registered to vote.
I guess he's trying to tell you that it's not necessarily going to fix anything,
and maybe it wouldn't.
Maybe we need some other layer of software security
so that we make sure that people aren't doing any funny things.
Or maybe, guys, let me take this a step further.
Maybe what they actually need to do, dare we say,
is that they actually need to make sure that we're not issuing IDs
and driver's licenses to people.
who shouldn't be here.
I mean, you know, if we get into the migrant legal thing,
I mean, this can get a little bit complicated.
I get it, right?
Because if you're here on a green card and you're not going to vote,
but you're here on a green card and you want to have a license,
you can probably get a license.
And so we'd have to kind of find some sort of system that works for that.
But look, I mean, I think the low-hanging fruit is obviously making sure that everybody has an ID.
And then from that level on, in order to make sure that there's no more glitches,
because that was a pretty serious.
The company, by the way, says,
that was no glitch.
That was no glitch at all.
That was a deliberate sort of A-O-K
from whoever was registering
or trying to register these people, the DMV.
They checked off boxes in the software
to make sure that these people were registered.
And, you know, I don't know,
but I'm a little bit tempted
to believe the company on this one
because they were pretty emphatic about it.
This is not a glitch, not a glitch, not a glitch.
And they're very outspoken on this.
And they're basically like,
hey, you know, we worked for New Jersey for decades and decades.
We know what we're doing, not a glitch.
So if it's not a glitch, what is it?
It's just people that have a certain bias that wanted to make sure.
They're at the DMV as they registered them to have a license.
They also just registered them to vote.
This is why you've got Harmeet Dillon investigating it right now.
This is why the feds are looking so carefully at this.
Harmeet was on with Benny Johnson the other day,
And her meet said, hey, anybody who voted illegally, guess what?
You're in a lot of trouble.
You're going to get deported.
You're going to get denaturalized.
And we're going to figure out what else we need to be doing.
Let's go to Hermit because I think she made it really clear.
This is facilitating a felony, a federal felony.
So what are you going to do about the illegals that voted?
Of course, know that they're not American citizens.
They went into rig elections.
They know they're not allowed to vote.
nobody stopped them. I guess there's a problem there, but those individuals made a choice and
they committed a crime in America. Well, I'm not going to call them illegals. They may be green card
holders. It's still illegal for them to have voted, to be very clear, though. And so what I want
to say about that is that we have been doing prosecutions here throughout the United States,
quietly. It's, you know, you find them one at a time and then you prosecute them one at a time.
you have to go send either Homeland Security investigators or FBI to go take statements and then check.
I mean, I just checked some lists that some activists sent me recently.
And, you know, we're very careful before we accuse somebody of illegally voting.
So first step, demand those names.
Second step, verify that they voted.
I don't trust anything New Jersey is telling me at this point.
So, and then, yeah, they are subject to both prosecution as well as removal from the United States.
And certainly, you know, when people come,
come up for citizenship, they're asked that question, have you voted? And some people proudly say,
well, yes, I did. I've been voting for years. That makes you ineligible to become a United States
citizens. So we are going after this all over the country. So yes, so you're saying, I mean,
because this is something that I constantly ask, there needs to be a warning sign effectively
printed out. I think this is happening really, really nicely with the fraud issue, where people are
seeing that there are actually consequences to engaging in hundreds of millions of dollars of
fraud against these people of the United States of America. The wheels of justice are grinding
slowly, but it's nice to see. You know, there have been some big, big stories that we've been
able to cover that, like, this guy committed fraud and now they're going to prison. This person,
this woman committed fraud, now she's going to jail. It'd be really nice to see, like,
hey, these 400 people voted illegally. They stole the votes of American citizens to paraphrase J.D.
Vance. Like, they neutralized the votes of actual legal Americans. And
And now they're all going to be deported.
Like, that'd be nice, you know.
Well, you're preaching to the choir here.
I mean, just understand that we've already been doing this at DOJ.
We want to amplify it.
I think it's also important that we actually have some public service announcements out there and stay tuned.
You should be seeing those coming as well.
Like I said, I was mocked for warning public officials that they needed to stop this.
And in fact, it's very necessary.
And so we are drawing attention to this issue.
And everyone watching this should tell their neighbors who are,
maybe here legally, but not American citizens, the consequences of voting when you're not allowed to
in a federal election can mean removal to your home country and worse. It's a crime. And, you know,
people need to just stop cold in their tracks and not enable it. It's shame on New Jersey for
its sloppy and incompetent handling of this issue or worse. I mean, unbelievable. Unbelievable,
right, that we actually have to put a public service announcement out.
Do you think, like, I've been in Italy, you guys know that,
do you think I'm out there itching to go voting in an Italian election, you know, to oust Georgia?
You know, I actually, I like her.
I just don't like what she's become lately, and it makes me not know if I can trust her.
I mean, the generale, right, he's looking kind of interesting.
He's running for her seat, for sure.
But I'm not going to go vote in an Italian election.
like, you know, like that it's, it's sort of incredulous.
Like, I'm incredulous.
I'm sort of dismayed that people thought, oh, gee, you know, I can go and vote or anybody,
I'm not dismayed at that within the DMV, et cetera, decided to go and register these people.
That actually doesn't surprise me.
I think that there's some bad actors out there.
A lot of bad actors, and we're seeing it on display right now, I mean, considering how socialism
has just taken over this entire.
party. I mean, they really have. The left has a problem on their hands. They really have a problem
because I got to tell you, I haven't met a whole lot of socialists in my life other than in Europe,
right? Like most people in America do not like socialism, except for these crazy lefties,
like the hipsters that elected Mamdami, comrade Mamdame down in Brooklyn, some Brooklyn hipsters,
like that's it. Like, and I don't even really know them. I try not to. Anyway, I have come across
my fair share, but nonetheless, like I said, I don't really know them. So who's out there that
really loves socialism? Like, who actually thinks that this is politically a smart idea? I'd like to know
because I'll tell you, you look at the Fox poll, and we talked about this, it came out last week,
and now even NBC, even NBC is forced to admit, you know, the socialism thing might not be the
best idea. You think? What? Some version of, ironically enough, this year, and Republicans think
that their one chance is the image of the Democratic Party. We've been seeing it in the private,
season, socialists winning Democratic primaries, candidates from the far left. And look at this
here. Among Democrats, this is that Fox poll, a majority have a favorable view of socialism,
step outside the Democratic Party. It's a totally different world. Look at independence,
socialism, deeply unpopular there. So is that a vulnerability for Democrats that would keep them
from capitalizing on Trump's obvious weaknesses here? Look more specifically at the two chambers.
So I think that it's probably a very good political tactic right now for the GOP to really hone in on this insanity.
And it is insanity that's been happening because you look at those numbers.
I look at those numbers.
And again, just anecdotally, I don't really know a whole lot of socialists other than maybe a few schoolteachers around there because the school teachers lot, right?
Like that's what they're trying to teach in school.
and it's getting kind of bad
what they're teaching in school.
But let me go to
the socialist of all socialists.
Not just the populist right, but the far right.
In fact, very fringe parties in some countries.
No, I support the normal people.
What do you call the far right?
Falsely.
You think is the normal person?
Okay.
Yes.
Literally, you could go back 10 or 15 years.
Oopsie Daisy.
Well, I mean, she probably is a socialist
of all socialist.
That's the economist reporter.
That's actually the wrong soundbite.
I was going to show you Bernie.
I was going to show you Bernie because I'll tell you, Bernie, you know, he's doubling down on all of this right now in a way that I don't think is very helpful to his party.
But before I do that, there was another thing that happened over the weekend.
Are you familiar with this DSA, the Democrat Socialists of America?
I mean, it sounds a whole lot better than it is.
It's basically some Chinese party that's funded by bad actors.
And they're proving all that out.
You saw the president's speech last Thursday, I guess, the week and change.
ago and the president kind of came out and laid all that out there because there's a lot of
concern about this DSA, this DSA that's quite a problem for, I would say, Democrats. Yeah,
because you keep electing Mamdami's and the backup singers to him and you really don't have
much of a party left. I think that there's a reason they've become so crazy and it's in part
because they don't know what to do about Donald Trump. He's kind of outsmarted him on everything.
this woman from the DSA decided to go on to Fox.
Now Fox loves having her on, right?
Like, think about it.
If you're Fox, like you put DSA on all day long because you'd be,
oh my God, these crazy socialists.
So they put her on and she's, you know, stupid enough to go on, unfortunately, for her.
And listen to what she said.
They go through this list.
And I'm like, it can't be that bad, right?
They can't actually.
They're admitting to everything, every single bit of it.
This is actually so good for MAGA.
This is so good for the GOP.
Bad for the country.
Right? Because, God forbid, any of these people actually get to first base. We get a whole other situation on our hands.
Ted Cruz said that the other day. Speaking on Hannity's program, he's like, look, you know, I'm concerned. I'm really, really concerned because if any of these people see the light a day, we're going to have ourselves as a bit of a situation.
So for the health of the country, we want to make sure that they don't. But nonetheless, they dig themselves into these holes. Check them out. The DSA. The woman who's like head of the whole thing goes on on the weekend show on Fox and says this.
So if we talk about abolishing prisons then, does that make society better?
I mean, is there anybody that should be incarcerated?
I mean, rapist, child predators, murderers?
Yeah, so the long-term plan, when we think about most people who are in prison,
they are mostly in prison for crimes of poverty.
So when we...
But that's no one I'm talking about.
I'm talking about the really...
Yeah, I hear you.
So when we...
Yeah, so when we get rid of this need for crimes of poverty to exist, when we get rid of...
of that destabilizing force that creates so many people
who are living in desperate situations
and doing desperate things,
that brings those numbers down to very small numbers.
And then we can collectively decide what we do with those people.
I suspect it won't look like the prison system
as we know it today.
Okay, but you do think some people need to be locked away from society.
Some people are not able to be functional members of society.
That's true.
But what does that look like to keep the rest of us safe?
You know, we're talking about safety.
We're not talking about punishment.
We're talking about making sure that we're safe, everybody's safe, everybody maintains their dignity, and everybody maintains their humanity.
Okay.
Hmm.
I told you.
They just do it to themselves.
So they actually do want to get rid of all prisons.
I mean, maybe there's like a few people, a few people that they get thrown into prison.
But you see, their theory here is, in all seriousness, they figure once you get rid of prisons and once everybody is just given just enough, just enough.
then you won't have anybody that wants for anything.
And it must just be people who want something that commit crimes.
I mean, forget about all the, you know,
I think there's plenty of wealthy, very wealthy people that commit crimes too, okay, guys.
So it's not just like a poverty thing.
But they're trying to say that you can solve crime by just giving a little something to everyone.
I mean, forget about the fact that in every socialist, forgive me,
in communist, every communist country.
And this is effectively what they want when they're talking about getting rid of the Senate,
getting rid of the court, everything.
They want to change it all.
They want to completely restructure how property is divided.
Don't forget, why are we the United States of America and the world's most successful economy
with the highest standard of living in the world?
Why?
Oh, because of this little thing called the Constitution, right?
And the Declaration of Independence, 1776.
And you go back and what did they do?
they protected an individual's property.
It was revolutionary at the time.
It still kind of is because a lot of places are very, very socialist in nature,
and yet this woman wants to take it all from you.
Unbelievable.
And again, the Senate, property rights, you name it, they want it.
These people are dangerous.
They are a cancer to America.
They are a cancer to the Democrat Party.
that the Democrat Party knew what was good for it.
If it actually wanted a future in America,
it would throw these people out so fast on there.
You know what's.
And yet they don't.
Here we go.
Listen to this crazy woman.
So if we talk about abolishing prisons then,
does that make society better?
I mean, we heard that one.
We know she doesn't want to get rid of prisons, right?
Nobody really belongs in prison, according to her.
Here we are.
So we're going to put up on the screen a few of the things that are part of your platform.
And I want to ask you, just give me sort of a true or false on these.
Abolish the Senate.
True.
Okay.
Replace the presidency and Supreme Court as we now know them.
Yep.
Abolish ICE.
Absolutely.
Abolish borders and give amnesty to anyone currently in the U.S. illegally.
As a long-term plan, yep.
Defund the Pentagon.
Absolutely.
Abolish prisons, at least in large part.
Yeah, again, as part of a long-term plan.
program, yeah. Okay, so no prisons. Government or public ownership of most large corporations.
Yeah, absolutely.
And look at Shannon's face, like, it's a great place to stop it, right? Because Shannon's like,
okay, you're not going to have any privately held anything. No, no, this lady in all her glory,
is that like a negligee she's got on? I don't really want to see that. I really don't. That's not.
that's not helping your cause lady nope nope nope nope nope no i think it is it's some kind of little
negligee that's peeking out from under her her sweater
can't unsee it right so you know poor shannon um doing the interview but that was smart to put
up all those things and say hey you know do you really think this do you really believe this
bum bum bum bum boom sure enough the lady just did it to herself she's all for it you know
we're going to get rid of the senate we're going to get rid of the court we're going to get
rid of private poverty. We're going to turn you into Cuba tomorrow. Oh, won't that be great? Yeah.
Again, what has resulted from these horrible communist dictatorships other than a lot of death,
a lot of destruction, a lot of poverty, a lot of starvation? I mean, as much as I want to sit here
and a little laugh about her very poor taste in clothing and negligence, I think, you know, you got to take a
serious step back here and just say what they're pushing is very dangerous and what's most
dangerous is that people have like glommed onto this and whether it's aOC or memdami or
mispronunciation intended might as well just go for the full mem dummy dummy right um if if you think about
this direction the woman out in Colorado all of them have something in common which is that
they are trying to appeal to a group of people that feel very disconnected, disenfranchised from the
economy and the success that we're all having. I think this is in part because as the president
explained very well last week, there are a lot of, well, he called them losers. I think that was
actually an appropriate term under the circumstances. He's like they're very, very well educated.
We've got all these super well educated losers, losers because they haven't been able to figure out
how to make it in the real world. And they realized that the guy who's working at the factory down
the street that never went to get a PhD in gender studies is actually doing better off than they are.
And so what does that mean?
It must mean, okay, then communism, socialism, this is the better alternative.
I mean, Bernie's doing okay, though.
Bernie's sold a few books and he's got a few vacation houses.
But Bernie Sanders, the original socialist, the guy who honeymooned in, was it the Soviet Union or was it China?
I think it was the Soviet Union, but made plenty of trips to China.
He loves China. He loves China. He loves China. He loves the former USSR. He loves Cuba, too.
Anyway, he's not so loved by the Democrat Party right now. And in fact, Rahm Emanuel made a big stink of it in the Wall Street Journal.
And so this came up over the weekend. In reaction to that Wall Street Journal piece, the Face the Nation anchor on CBS asked him, you know, what do you think of all this?
And Bernie, being Bernie, is just going back to the well and blaming the elites again.
There is, as you know, though, concern within Democratic circles that these inner party primary fights are draining resources and sort of, you know, pulling away from what should be a unified message.
Rahm Emanuel wrote in the Wall Street Journal, the Bernie Bros could spoil Democrats midterms.
He said the DSA and others are saddling the party with nominees who, as he put it, wildly in popular positions will protect Republicans.
from having to pay the price of Donald Trump's corruption,
said it was the socialist who led the charge to defund the police,
open borders, abolished prisons.
He's saying those are losing messages that are going to hurt the party overall.
How do you respond?
That is what Rahm Emanuel is saying,
who no doubt has the support of millions of working class people.
Look, this is an argument.
There's no debate.
there is a strong division within the Democratic Party.
You have an establishment like Rahm Emanuel
who are dependent on billionaire campaign contributors
and want to maintain the status quo.
Then you have a progressive movement, which, by the way,
what is getting these guys there says,
we are winning all over this country.
It's not only Mamdani in New York City,
it's in New Jersey, it's in Ohio, it's in Colorado.
People are sick and tired of the Rahmah manuals
and the Democratic establishment
and the Republican establishment,
they are asking simple questions, Margaret.
Why, in God's name, are we the only major country in earth
not to guarantee health care to all people as a human right?
Pretty simple question.
Canada does it.
Europe does it.
Somehow we can't do it.
Why do we have an economy in which one man, Mr. Musk,
owns more wealth than the bottom half of American society?
Why do the economists tell us that the richest country
in the history of the world,
our kids will likely have a lower standard of living
than their parents.
The American people are tired of a rigged economy,
a corrupt campaign, finances them.
They want real change.
They don't want Rahm Emanuel
and the establishment maintaining the status quo.
But in the meantime,
I hear you on the message that you think is resonating,
on the tactical planning here,
do you think in the state of Michigan
that you were just talking about
with Abdul al-Sayyad, he's a public health official,
he's a populist,
But he's running against a moderate, Haley Stevens.
Do you really think that in a state like Michigan,
it's going to be a progressive Democrat who could beat a Republican in November?
This was a state. Trump narrowly won.
Absolutely. Whether it's Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, or anyplace else in this country.
The point I'm trying to make, Margaret, and the polling indicates this,
the people are sick and tired of the status quo.
Yes.
We are the richest country in the history of the world.
we should have the highest standard of living for all of our people,
not massive income and wealth inequality.
And by the way, we should not be continuing to get involved
in genocidal wars with Israel in Gaza
or getting involved in the destruction of Lebanon.
People want change in foreign policy and in domestic policy.
The status quo is not working.
But for Republicans who are looking at this,
they're saying that's great.
Is Bernie going to tell his supporters not to show up,
for example, if Haley Stevens wins
out in Michigan. Or will you say
in the end, the Democrats
have to unify?
Margaret, the Republicans, and
maybe it's the Republican establishment,
maybe it's the billionaires who
own the Republican Party. Your working class
Republicans are not going to say that.
They can't afford to pay for health care. They can't
afford to send their kids to college.
They can't afford decent retirees.
And more than a few of them, by the way,
will be voting for Peggy, Flanagan, in Minnesota
and Abdul in Michigan.
All right. Uncandy, 47, right. Bernie's beating the drum. Same old, same old, same old. He's got one note, one note only. It's all he's ever been able to. Look at it. He's so grumpy, too. He's such a grumpy guy. Truth be told. But, you know, you'd be grumpy too if you looked around the world and you just kind of constantly had this hatred of anybody who was accumulating anything because somehow you think that that accumulation of anything comes at the cost to you. I mean, this is, I don't disagree, right, that a lot of people feel disempowering.
franchised and everybody's kind of fed up with the system. It's actually why Donald Trump has been
so appealing to so many people and it crossed actually a lot of party divisions, right? A lot of
people that would have normally elected Bernie actually voted for Donald Trump. But here's what
Bernie keeps getting wrong. Like he hates Elon Musk. How dare Elon Musk, you know, have this,
that, and the other. Well, by the way, who else? I'm using, I'm using his satellite uplink as
as we speak, this is Starlink that I'm coming to you live over game, the on, and that's him.
And I can go anywhere in the world.
And because of something like Starlink, I can be live with you.
I mean, think about space and what he's accomplishing there.
I mean, the guy is, I'm sorry, like the guy is a genius and he's a brilliant business person,
and we're going to have so much on earth thanks to that genius.
But what would happen if he was trying to do that in Venezuela, say, or in Cuba?
We wouldn't have any of these things.
I mean, you wouldn't have Apple.
You wouldn't have Google.
You wouldn't have all the incredible genius innovation that we have in America if we were a communist system.
And it's like, guys, what do you want?
You just want everybody to kind of live right down there.
You know, nobody can be that successful.
I mean, I'm here overseas in Europe.
And believe me, everyone wants to be America.
Yeah, they may, you know, I know the French, whatever.
Like, you know, they kind of hold their nose with us.
But they'd give anything to be American.
I've told you before there's no French dream.
I have a friend, well, a relation, actually.
My cousin married a French woman.
And she teaches English.
And she said, what captivates the imagination of all her students in France when she's
teaching English is when she tells them about the American dream.
they don't have anything like it
they never have
no country
you want the Indian dream the Chinese dream the Mexico dream
the Somalian dream I don't think so okay
everybody wants the American dream
and why do we have the American dream
because we got capitalism baby good old fashion
capitalism
as opposed to the socialism
and the communism you see everywhere else
and then you think about what else they're doing
I'll tell you Elon Musk for the win
Elon Musk, despite what Bernie Sanders and others want to say about him, he was on with The Economist,
and I played a bunch of the sound for you on my shorts feed, but it's just phenomenal.
I want to go to one more sound by Elon Musk, taking the economist down, rather handily so.
You support not just the populist right, but the far right.
In fact, very fringe parties in some countries.
No, I support the normal people.
What do you call the far right falsely?
You think is the normal person?
Okay.
Yes.
Literally, you could go back 10 or 15 years, and these policies were completely normal.
In fact, one of the tricks that I think is funny, what I think is quite funny is to like take a speech from Obama and Hillary and then go to someone and say, who's sort of, you know, on the sort of what I call the lunatic left and say, what do you think of the speech by Trump?
Like, oh, wow, he's the worst person ever.
But actually, that was a speech by Obama.
Or actually, that was a speech by Hillary.
Literally.
No, I agree that the center of gravity in this country has shifted,
certainly the Democratic Party shifted to the left.
But that's not what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about people like Rupert-
No, I'm talking about people.
It's actually just normal people.
It's just normal people.
It's just normal people.
And here are the principles.
And tell me, which of these sound terrible?
That we should have secure borders,
that we should have safe cities,
that we should have sensible,
spending, which are those three are our far right fringe.
And I would like to just admonish you and the media for the absurd characterization of the far right.
It is false and misleading and nonsense.
Please keep this part in.
We'll keep all of this in.
Don't cut this part.
Let me push back on that.
Let me push back on that because you have nonsense.
Elon, you have, what is it, close to 250 million followers on.
X. You say things like... Popular guy.
Wow, wow. Well, you know what?
Good for him. Like, I don't know
is Donald Trump. This is crazy to say. I don't even know he would have won the election.
Had it not been for Elon and Elon going out and buying X
and really being able to serve as a platform to get the truth out so that
people could speak freely. I mean, we really couldn't there for a while.
And so we have some gratitude to show them on that front.
But again, just remembering that capitalism is what gets you that innovation.
Capitalism is what enables everybody to prosper.
What are we going to turn that over to China?
Because by the way, they do have a capitalist society, albeit a communist one, in China.
I mean, wouldn't China love that?
When you think about the foreign actors and what they're trying to accomplish,
they would just love that, love that, love that, love that.
You think about Iran, they would love that.
All of our enemies would love that.
Quick shout out to the markets.
I don't know.
There's a little volatility there today.
We'll see how it all shakes out as the day goes on.
But I want to remind you to take a look at our model portfolios there.
American resilience, inflation protection, income builder, all lots of good stuff there for you.
Eight to ten stocks in each one of those portfolios at 76research.com.
That's my company.
I started with a very good friend because we didn't like the direction that we saw.
Even Wall Street heading in where they were, you know, the social.
obsessed with say DEI and ESG that they couldn't think clearly enough as investors and we're like,
wait a second, you know, if it's a good company, it's a good company, forget about all the other
nonsense. And so our companies have done very well. We're very proud of them. I want to turn to Israel
sending Mr. Mamdami, comrade Mamdami, a big old message. You know, don't forget it was
Mamdami, who has a little egg on his face, shall we say, because he wanted to go out and arrest
Netanyahu, somehow he thinks, you know, as the mayor of New York City, that he should be out arresting people who the ICC deems to be a war criminal.
Forget that we don't actually respect, honor, or listen to the ICC because it's a corrupt organization that we have nothing to do with.
But, of course, Mr. Mamdami, comrade Mandami, who hates apparently everything that America stands for, wants us to accept the ICC and wants to enforce this ridiculous.
arrest warrant that he's trying to put out there. So anyway, he's not going to be able to get that done.
And so he's trying to pivot and say, oh, everybody should go out and protest.
Please don't really appreciate that in New York City. No, no, no, no, no. But you know what?
I love it because my friend Maria, Maria Vorda Romo, you should watch her show on the weekend.
It's a great one on Fox. She's a Fox News show. She has a Fox Business one, which is a great one as well.
But Fox News, she brought Netanyahu on. And she asked him about his meeting that he has coming up in September.
And I love his answer.
Listen.
He's fomitting hate.
He's supposed to be the mayor of all New Yorkers,
Jews, Christians, Muslims, everyone.
But he's trying to turn one group against the other,
and he's forcing hate and fear.
I speak to Jewish Americans in New York,
and they're afraid right now.
And I don't think it's accidental
that after he made this hate speech
against Israel and against me,
the next day, a Jew is stabbed
coming out of a synagogue.
I think, and with a cry of Allah is Akbar, Allah Akbar.
And you know what that means.
So I think that it's shameful.
This thing is very bad for New York.
I think it's very bad for peace.
But the answer to your question,
I intend to come and speak the truth,
speak for Israel and for the Israeli-American alliance
from the podium of the United Nations.
Whoa. Okay.
So there you have it, Mamdami.
He's going.
He's going anyway.
despite all your nonsense, despite your promise for people to take to the streets.
Israel, our ally, let's not forget, we had a hand in setting up the whole country,
will be represented by the Prime Minister Netanyahu there at the big meeting.
So take that, take that indeed, would you?
How do you ever get in there, guys? Really and truly, how did he ever get in there?
He is such a bad, bad dude.
I mean, he really is.
You saw this the other day.
I mean, this guy that they arrested in New York, if you ask me, this is Mamdami encouraging this hate.
I mean, the horrible, horrible tragedy that happened there.
Fortunately, they lived.
The two people that were stabbed on the Upper West Side of New York City, you coupled that together with just some of the other awful stuff that's going on, right?
You know, you saw what happened in Germany over the weekend at a pride event.
You know, it's some crazy Alawak bar.
guy again trying to you know well and in fact did kill some people and hurt others because they
you know look we may not be like woo-hoo trans right like but do you think that we would ever ever
ever ever know like i'm just going to say it no um there's no empathy there's no sympathy
there's no freedom in that culture and that culture is a dangerous one it was actually something
else that interestingly, interestingly,
Elon Musk got into in that interview with the economist, because
she said, like, are you prejudiced? He's like, no, no, no, no, no. And he explained,
I mean, he was like, my partner, she's half Indian, our kids, you know, whatever.
And then the other thing that she brought up was, well, are you anti-Muslim? And he
kind of made the point, like, look, if the religion is not in sync with our culture and
our Western values, then it's kind of hard to really, you know, love it. And
that was just a tragic thing that happened.
And I expect that you're going to see more tragic things like this because you've got a mayor that really does seem to be encouraging some bad, bad stuff.
And it's unfortunate, but it is where we are.
I mean, so much so that even Letitia James, I told you a little bit about this last week, Latisha James even is distancing herself from Comrade Memdami.
Because she just, you know, she's got to call it what it is.
And indeed she did.
What I do want to say is that it's really critically important that individuals understand that anti-Semitic acts have been growing in the city of New York.
It's really critically important.
And then also acts against the Asian community have also been on the increase.
So it's important that I stand with my Jewish friends, that I stand with my Asian friends, that I let everyone know that there should not be any space between any of us.
that we should stand together against any form of hate, any act of hate in the city and the state of New York, that it will not be tolerated.
It's important that the Jewish community understand and know that they are not alone, that I and others in the African American community stand together.
It's also important that members of the Asian community know that I and members of the African American community stand with them.
and that hate will not be tolerated in this city and or in this state.
I'm praying for the city.
I'm praying for the state.
I'm praying for this nation.
I'm praying for everyone.
Obviously, who recognizes that we're all in this together,
that we're all God's children.
And it's important that we not assign any particular outcome to this investigation.
It's an unassailable truth that we cannot leave any one community to bear the burden of
hate and fear alone.
That combating anti-Semitism and hate against the Asian community is a responsibility
of all of us, all New Yorkers, all Americans.
Yeah.
So, Letitia James actually stepping up to the plate for change and doing the right thing there.
My day kicks off with a refreshing Celsius energy drink.
Pre-gate drop off.
Then straight to the gin.
Back home to meal prep before heading to the fire station for my share.
shift. When the three alarm comes in, I'm ready. CELCUS, live, fit, go. Grab a cold, refreshing
Celsius energy drink at your local retailer or locate now at celsius.ca. Enjoy Celsius responsibly.
Designed for occasional energy boost, not as part of your daily diet. Please adhere to recommended
serving limits. I'm keeping them on a very short leash. I don't have a lot of respect for
Leticia James and all that she did with Donald Trump and I think it's quite criminal actually.
but I think it's important that she made that clear that she's going to stand with New York against the hate, frankly, that Comrade Memdami is introducing into that city.
So they can't get rid of him fast enough.
I just, I get to say, and you can't start investing fast enough.
So go check out 76research.com.
Again, my company, I'm so proud of it and so proud of all our portfolios there.
So go check that out when you can.
And just know that I'm going to be here with you live all week.
I see some of our familiar faces, but not all of them, not all of them.
Billy, good to see you, and Unk Andy was here.
I think we're missing peace in my mind today.
So we'll see if we can see peace on the program back there tomorrow.
David Lorenzo made it.
So we get some regulars.
It's a little bit earlier.
I get it.
It's a little bit earlier this week doing my best to make sure that I'm coming to you
at a decent enough time here because I'm six hours ahead.
Thank you all for all you do to make this show.
the success it is. Make sure that you subscribe. Make sure you hit the bell so that you know when I am
live. And I will see you right back here live on the Trish Regan show again tomorrow. Until then.
