Starting point is 00:00:00 Two and five Canadians will hear the words, you have cancer. That's why every step and dollar raised matters. On September 19th, join thousands in Toronto for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Walk. Challenge yourself, friends, and family to walk 21 kilometers in support of life-saving research. Together, we can carry the fire and help create a world free from the fear of cancer. Register today at pmcfwalk.ca. You know, this socialism stuff, it's got to stop. Like, it's just got to stop.
Starting point is 00:00:36 It may stop on its own because it may actually be stopped in the court of law. You now have a group of New Yorkers that are looking to impeach Mamdami, and it can't happen fast enough. We're going to talk all about that, plus the latest on Iran, an economic D-Day and how it is that the whole Canada thing became such a problem. It actually has a lot to do with China and a lot to do with Iran. We're going to talk about Europe. Maloney, is this why you wouldn't let us use our Sigonella base? Is this what it was about? Because it turns out, Italy is still doing like $600 million a year in trade with Iran.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Germany's doing over a billion dollars. So listen, if we're going to get serious about Iran, I think we need to be serious about the sanctions overall. Oh, and we're going to talk about Dali Parton. Dolly Parton, was she not terrific? I mean, wow, this really surprised me today. 80 years old, Dali Parton, no longer with us. We'll talk a little bit about her. her legacy. Welcome to the program, everyone. I am Trish Regan. This Trish Rigan show, make sure you subscribe, share, like, make a comment. I'm watching it all. Mam Dami impeached. It could happen. Listen, New York is eyeing impeachment right now, and they have a pathway to do it. It turns out that the governor can remove a mayor, if so desired. I mean, it all comes down to the governor, which is why this governor's race
Starting point is 00:01:58 is actually really more important than you thought it was. The mayor, according to the law, New York, Chapter 9, removal of mayor, the mayor may be removed by the governor upon charges and after service upon him of a copy of the charges and an opportunity to be heard in his defense. So in other words, if he does something in which he's breaking the law, and by the way, I can think of a few things, just a few, oh, we're going to go through him, a few things where he's breaking the law, then the governor has the right to impeach him and remove him from office, pending the preparation and disposition of charges, the governor may suspend the mayor for a period not exceeding 30 days. So in other words, if the governor is going to drop the charges,
Starting point is 00:02:40 they'll give him like 30 days notice and say, hey, you're going to be removed from office, and that'll be that. And you know who they're hoping might be able to do something like this? Because yes, ma'am, Dami has broken the law. And I want to be cautious and careful and just point out that Blakeman has said, listen, I'm not going to do it unless he really breaks the law. Well, I've got news for you, Blakeman. He is breaking the law. This is what he had to say the other day on my former employer. They're on Fox Business on Stoves Show.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Let me tell you something. Kathy Hockel endorsed Zoran Mondami. Zoran Mondami endorsed her. They are lockstep. Zoran Mandami is anti-Semitic. He's anti-Christian. He's anti-American. And he has absolutely no idea what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:03:21 He's a communist. And he doesn't understand that American values, the Judeo-Christian work principle, capitalism have made us the greatest country in the world and created more prosperity than any country in the history of the world. And this guy wants to destroy America and bring in a system that's been failed. And Kathy Hockel is a willing participant. I will stop it when I become governor. We will get back to American values. We'll get back to capitalism. We'll create good jobs. We'll make it more affordable for our young people to live here in New York State.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Governor Hockel facing back. So this is a big deal because he could actually follow through on this. Memdami is in violation of the law with the grocery store thing. Oh, I guess you could go to the Logan Act as well, right? The Logan Act, he seems to be in violation of. But let's start with something that Blakeman said in late July, while speaking out on Long Island, the Southampton Press picked it up. And he said here, quote, I believe in incremental discipline, like with our children, first you give them a time out, then you ground them. I'm going to give Mamdami the first time a timeout. Then I'm going to ground him. And the discipline will get stronger and stronger and stronger until he behaves himself. Blakeman also noted that his governor,
Starting point is 00:04:41 he would have the power to remove Mamdami from office. The crowd apparently, according to the Southampton, press they cheered upon hearing that on Long Island, although Blakeman did know, and I think this is important at least to point this out, because he's not a crazy guy like some on the left, you know, Maxine Waters, who just wanted to impeach, impeach and peach impeach for nothing. Blakeman noted that the mayor would need to do something egregious for him to even consider that path. You know, I consider some of these things that he has done most recently pretty egregious, including, you know what? What he tried to pull on Iran. I mean, here we are at war with Iran. And you've got the mayor of New York City instructing his staff.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Don't tell me she wasn't instructed to do this. You think she just went on and did this all on No, no, no, no. I think she got the A-O-K, or at least the nod of approval from up above. So this woman goes out, and she tries to set up a meeting with the Iranian diplomats. I mean, are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? I mean, what happened to, like, yeah, the potholes in New York City, you know, and the garbage pickup? What about all those people that keep popping out a manholes? Have you seen that one? Oh, that's crazy. It's gone totally viral because these people like at four in the morning are coming out of manholes. And people are like, Mamdami, really?
Starting point is 00:06:01 That's Mamdami's New York, okay? Like no security, no nothing. People popping up out of manholes. You got the homelessness raging out of control. And this guy's answer is to just give out free groceries, which is illegal, by the way, and could get him impeached. In the meantime, he's trying to talk to Iran. Your buddy, buddy with Iran, his wife is trying to get New York police security
Starting point is 00:06:21 to go over to Syria and Lebanon? What's that about? I ask you. I mean, it's almost like he's a plant or something, for goodness sakes. And then when he was asked about it, by the media, I don't consider this much of an excuse. So Logan Act would be number one on my list. Let's roll the tape. My question for you is, recent reporting showed that the International Affairs Commissioner Anna Maria Artila was trying to meet with Iran's ambassador. Thoughts on her coordinating that meeting without your awareness. Also, what do you see Artilla's role as the Commissioner of International Affairs?
Starting point is 00:06:56 Is she supposed to be making these types of foreign policy, I guess, decisions behind your back? I mean, your reaction to that. And also, sorry, did you see the Grand Platner video and your thoughts on that? I haven't seen the video. I want to be clear on your first question. That meeting did not take place. It will not take place.
Starting point is 00:07:20 And I did not know about it until there was a press inquiry regarding it. And when it comes to the work of our commissioner and our international affairs office, it's to ensure that as we are a city of the world, that we are also there to meet with leaders from across the world, the focus is always on our city and in our relationship. Thank you. Are you kidding me? Are we supposed to buy any of that? Oh, I didn't know about any of it until I read about it in the press.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Okay, we spoke to her. she's still there. She's still collecting taxpayer dollars, the employee that tried to set up the meeting with Iran. I mean, you cannot make the stuff up. The fact that you have to have the Secretary of State come and put the kibash on the whole thing, what is going on? So I actually consider that if you were to dig in and you were to go through emails and you were to go through text messages, something that if you really explored that, you might find out that he had a little more to do with it than just, you know, finding out about the Iranian meeting by reading the press reports. And if you find out he has a little more to do with it,
Starting point is 00:08:24 well, then that might be just a violation of the Logan Act. I'd be curious who his contacts are as well in the Middle East. And does he have any handlers? I don't know. I'm just throwing this out there out of Uganda. I mean, these are things that you need to be looking into and these would put him in violation of the law, thereby leading the governor to be able to do something like the Logan Act,
Starting point is 00:08:45 violation of. The other thing is the grocery store stuff. The other thing is like the total violation of privacy of the 20,000 people he's accusing of having pietta terrorists. They're like, no, wait a second. I mean, you don't even have the Democrats all upset with him now. The whole city council meeting the other day. We ran that tape.
Starting point is 00:09:02 I showed you. It was just imploding in real time because they're like, what is he doing? And then he doesn't even show up for the meeting. He's a bad dude. Anyway, they may be done with him. May be done with him very, very soon. Meanwhile, this is a bit of an issue. He's getting sued.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Okay, so now if it turns out, and he is in violation of the law, they will win this lawsuit. You could get him on that. Because if he still goes through at these city-owned grocery stores, five of them, which he wants to take your hard-working dollars. It's like $70 million. Is that right? That he's going to put into this thing, maybe more. Don't quote me on that figure.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I'm going to double-check it. But I'll tell you this. It's not flying. It's not flying. You know, lots of bodega owners, 70 million. I was right. never doubt oneself right trish remember um for some reason i just kind of have a head for numbers what do you know it explains my 76 research go check that out 76 research dot com if you're interested in investing
Starting point is 00:09:59 anyway memdami's 70 million dollars that he's pouring into these government-owned five of them supermarkets that are going to be free everything right communist runner at least 30 percent below prices so get a load of this you run a little grocery store okay you're a bodega or bodegas are kind of the worst they're kind of grimy and you know i lived in new york city for years I thank the Lord every day that I don't live there anymore. But I did live there for many years. I went to college there and lived there. I mean, all in, gosh, I mean, it might be 20 years.
Starting point is 00:10:28 I've lived all over the city. So I've been to many a bodega. And there are always these kind of gross places that you go to. Like if you need something as an emergency at 1130 at night and you don't want to walk far because they have them right there on the block. Every block has one of these bodegas. Well, these bodegas are going to be in big trouble. because they're not going to be able to compete in the same way.
Starting point is 00:10:50 And they're like, how is this fair? I'm paying taxes. And my tax dollars are going to subsidize Mamdami's friends who are coming in here with their deal. So this is a big, big problem. They're now suing. You can see all the stories here, New York Post, writing immigrant grocers.
Starting point is 00:11:07 I mean, it's kind of an interesting twist here, right? It's the immigrant grocers. I mean, it's sort of poetic when you think about it. right? He's supposed to be helping the immigrants, and now the immigrants are turning around and suing them because they're like, you're not helping us. Not at all. Immigrant grocers are suing Mamdami over government-owned supermarkets. They're likening this to Walmart coming to New York City. Yeah, except it's worse because it's your taxpayer dollars, and you can't do that, actually, in New York. You really can't. Let's go to the Fox report today where one of the reporters
Starting point is 00:11:38 was outside one of these bodegas and spoke to one of the bodega owners who's not too happy about things. We spoke to Elvis, who is the manager of the store behind us here. His family has owned it for 25 years. He's featured prominently in the lawsuit because I'm going to spin around and show you this empty lot just across the street from his store. That is where the city-run grocery star, La Marquita, is going to go in 2029. That grocery store will open just across the street and it will not have to pay anything in taxes. He says that alone is going to be too difficult for him to compete with and will put him out of business. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:13 The city pay, I'm paying for him, but I pay tax. So, they're not good. He no, he no gives me the license for the tobacco. I don't have no liza for the tobacco. And I got to pay rain, I got to put it, and sure, I got to pay tax, tax, tax, never be quiet, tax. Tax is expensive. Tax, tax, tax.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And more tax, right? Because he's going to take it from everyone and redistribute it. it, well, it turns out this is in violation of the law. So they got a good leg to stand on on this one, you guys. And by the way, that could lead to impeachment because Article 8 of the New York State Constitution says, and I quote, no county, city, town, village, or school districts shall give or loan any money or property to or in. Two and five Canadians will hear the words you have cancer. That's why every step, and dollar-raised matters.
Starting point is 00:13:15 On September 19th, join thousands in Toronto for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Walk. Challenge yourself, friends, and family to walk 21 kilometers in support of life-saving research. Together, we can carry the fire and help create a world free from the fear of cancer. Register today at pmcfwalk.ca.ca. in aid of quote, any individual or private corporation or association or private undertaking or become directly or indirectly the owner of stocking bonds of any private corporation or association, nor shall any country, county, city, town, village, or school district give or loan its credit to in aid of any individual or public or private corporation or association or private undertaking. Now, the way this is interpreted is yes, the city can, collect bids and hire somebody, you know, outside a contractor, for example, and that is allowed. The difference here is where the city would be owning it, right? So that contractor still owns his business, even if he's digging some or filling, shall I say, some potholes in the streets in New York.
Starting point is 00:14:26 That's still his business. It's still a private business. And maybe he's getting paid. Well, here, it's actually going to be the city, I guess, that is ultimately going to own this. So there's a bit of a distinction. And how does it work in terms of the 70 million? Well, the city is going to be providing the foundation and delivery grocery ready sites. They're going to cover the rent and property taxes. They're going to fund the buildout. They want experienced party operators to run the store day to day. So they're basically going to go out and choose all the Mamdami's friends. And Mamdami's friends who believe in this communist doctrine are going to go and put all the immigrant bodega owners out of business.
Starting point is 00:15:05 with the bodega owner's tax money, right? So here he is doing himself in saying on April 22nd, the city will subsidize a core set of staples, a private operator will run the store. And then the deputy mayor doubled down on it and said in the contract we're going to have with a private operator, it will be required that the savings that are passed on to that operator then be passed on to the consumer. So that's going to be a problem. Again, they're taking your taxpayer dollars. They're giving it to their friends. They're going to demand groceries be cheaper, and then they're going to put the bodega owners out of business. And he thinks this is all perfectly fine and legal, but it's not. Listen to him all chummy chummy with the reporters asking
Starting point is 00:15:51 him questions. This is just yesterday afternoon. A group of about 15 minority groups that represent bodega owners are filing suit to stop your city rent groceries. They say that your city run groceries, and I quote, are a direct assault on minority businesses by a mayor who claims to be a champion of the disenfranchised poor and working class New Yorkers. How do you feel about that? They feel that they're being disenfranchised and what's your response to their suit and their attempt to stop your city-run grocery stores? I continue to be fully confident in both the legality and the importance of our initiative to deliver five city-run grocery stores, one in each borough, to the people of our city. We are talking.
Starting point is 00:16:34 talking about a reflection of a cost of living crisis that has seen grocery prices increased by about 30% over the last few years. So because prices have gone up in New York City, his answer is then to have the government take it all over. I mean, you understand fundamentally the whole flaw in this logic, right? I mean, we've been down this path before this is how communism works, and they think they can just take all your money and they're going to. going to be better arbitrators of where it goes, right? They're going to be able to decide where that capital should be spent. And as such, they're then in charge. The problem is nobody actually wants to work and to earn any more money because why would you? Right? Seriously, I'm just looking at some of your comments in real time. And I see we don't really have a lot of Mamdami fans here watching the show.
Starting point is 00:17:31 That doesn't surprise me at all. But, you know, again, if you think about this, the city run grocery stores, they're not going to be able to do that because, you know, you have a private company that would be winning, say, a pothole filling contract versus a city run grocery store, government keeping the ownership of that grocery store and then just, you know, basically, I guess, paying somebody to run it on the side. That's not going to fly. And that's against the gift and loan clause. It's against the gift and loan clause thereby leading to what I believe will be the eventual impeachment if this guy is able to stay there much longer of one Zohran Memdami, who seems to be working for the other side. I'm just going to say it. I don't know who,
Starting point is 00:18:19 but it's definitely not for New Yorkers and it's definitely not for patriots. He is a communist who is funded, his whole campaign, Democrats, Socialists of America. What do you think that is? That's China. Okay. It said Neville Sigmund out of China, who's an American citizen who funnels all this money out of China into these communist causes and these communist candidates and these communist social media magnets like Hassan Piker who says America deserve 9-11. Okay, so this is where they're going to get him. And Blakeman can go after him for this. And the way the terms line up, it makes all the sense in the world because you could have
Starting point is 00:18:59 Blakeman coming in in January. And if this guy is doing illegal stuff, he needs to be taken out. again, remembering that they have the ability, the governor has the ability to remove the mayor. The mayor may be removed from office by the governor upon charges that are serviced to him. And you know what? It's happened before. Back in the 1930s, you know, New York City actually impeached a mayor, and it was a governor that did it, just to give you a little bit of a sort of history lesson here. I think it was during FDR's term around 19, I want to say like 1930 something, you know, and it has happened.
Starting point is 00:19:43 I'm actually going to double, yeah, again, why do I doubt myself? 1932, okay, 1932. And it was then-Governor F.D. Roosevelt. And it was overpayments from city contractors. It was Jimmy Walker who was impeached. It actually happened two other times. William O'Dwyer in 1950. resigned actually midterm amid a police corruption scandal and accepted somehow an
Starting point is 00:20:09 ambassadorship to Mexico. All's well. That ends well. And then they were trying to do the same thing with Eric Adams, of course. You remember that. But Jimmy Walker was a big one back in 1932, and they were actually successful with that. So there is precedent. It has happened before.
Starting point is 00:20:22 And the law is on New York side with that one. I will say, you know what, Mamdami, you deserve to be sued. Socialism is bad. it always ends up bad and you take a look around i mean it's amazing that they're seeing any success at all we'll see how how long lived it really is i think about el saeed out there in detroit where he was not able to really capture the black vote in detroit and this is becoming increasingly a problem because most black working americans are like no no thank you don't sign me up for communism for goodness mistakes. Like, you know, that's going just a bit too far. So you don't have enough Brooklyn hipsters
Starting point is 00:21:01 out there in Detroit in order to really send Mamdami to Washington. Well, let's hope, you know, fingers crossed, because that's a problem. What he's talking about is a problem, forgive me, El-Said. And then you've got the lady down in Florida, right? Like, she's a complete nut who wants Medicare for all. Well, this guy does too. El-Said wants Medicare for all. We ran you that sound last week. Well, last night, El-Said decided to go on Fox News. I don't know what he's thinking going on Fox News. I think he wants the attention, right? And he knows that he will get some attention on a place like Fox. So he goes on with Jesse Waters. And I'll tell you, this thing got really weird, really fast. And again, I'm like, why are you, you know, shouldn't you stick to the Rachel
Starting point is 00:21:43 Maddows of the world? Like, what are you doing on with Jesse? Again, I think he's desperate for attention. He's desperate for that oxygen. So he's willing to go on. and then get weird. And I mean really weird. It was uncomfortable to watch. But hey, we're all friends here. We're going to watch it together. Again, sex changes for minors.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Do you support that? Look, you know, I remember having great conversations with my conservative friends about right to try legislation. The idea that the government shouldn't tell you what kind of health care you should have. I just think the government shouldn't tell you what kind of health care you should have.
Starting point is 00:22:19 And if you're a minor, it's between you, your doctor, and your parents. Now, if you disagree with that, If you disagree with that, if you disagree that health care decisions need to be made by a doctor and their parents and a patient, then I just think we agree to disagree. But, you know, you want to put government inside a clinic or a hospital, selectively. I am. So you think it's okay for a parent to slap? Took him a minute on that one because it turns out he got a medical degree, but he's not actually a licensed physician because he never bothered to complete the residency, et cetera. No, he just went straight into politics.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Let's continue listening, though, to Jesse and Abdul al-Said. So, you go out of school at the university. You think that's okay? I mean, do you, so do you really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised? Yeah, yeah, but I mean, that's a personal question, doctor. Okay, doctor. You probably should want to move on.
Starting point is 00:23:16 You probably should want to move on. Is circumcision different than castration? I think it's a problem. It's a problem that you think. that you get to decide what happens between a parent, a doctor, and a patient. And I'm just saying that, yes, circumcision is surgery on a kid's dingling. So if you really want to bring that up, you can. I just think you guys are really selective about how you want to talk about these things.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Abdul, Michigan's not going for that. That is sick stuff. You're kind of a sick guy for some of the things that you just said. Talking about inappropriate. Again, I guess an attention hug. But the other thing I would point out is that he's there saying government should not be involved in this decision. okay, fine. Well, what do you think? And by the way, I'm all for government staying out of your health care decisions, except when it comes to kids because, you know, they're minors. And this is just
Starting point is 00:24:05 disgusting and criminal what has happened to so many young children. It just breaks my heart. Breaks my heart. But I would say this. You know what? Abdul-Aid, for somebody who's saying, the government should not be involved with your health care decisions, what do you think's going to happen with your little single payer system? I was just over in the UK. Guess what? It's 11.9 weeks. just to get an appointment for anything. Goodbye to the cold, right? Like, I don't know what you do. If you just have a little sniffle or some allergies, you're never getting in to see anybody. I mean, it's a mess. There's really long lines to do anything. You need basic tests. You're not going to get them in the UK because they get that single-payer health care system.
Starting point is 00:24:43 It is a disaster. And this is what they want to bring here. Again, I question who they're working for. And I keep coming back to Iran and China. And I keep coming back to this desire. by some foreign nations to really mess with us. And I think that this is why push is coming to shove and we got a lot of big picture stuff going on that they're not even like fully telling you about, but big picture stuff in that it is right now a race for dominance for the future in terms of AI, in terms of energy, and in terms of military economic power. And that is why you see us reacting the way we're reacting with Iran, with China, with Canada, with Canada, with Canada. Canada. It's all related. Every single bit of it. The U.S. is squeezing Iran right now, but right now, as of this moment, we have avoided targeting its biggest economic ally, and that would be China. And instead, we're kind of going around the mulberry bush, and we're trying to shore up all of our allies. Now, you would think Canada, which I showed you this little meme yesterday, oh, China, right? The true North CCP, oh, China, you would think Canada.
Starting point is 00:25:55 one of our biggest trading partners would actually want to be aligned with us, aligned with us, because if you're not aligned with us, well, you're going to be aligned with China and therefore Iran. And this is what peasant was talking about yesterday. Hey, you know what? We're going to give you guys a little bit of time. We're going to let you try and figure this out, but not that much time. And if it turns out, you decide you want to keep on trading with China. And, hey, he's looking at you, Europe.
Starting point is 00:26:20 He's looking at you, China. Then, well, we're going to have a problem. So China can't keep trading with Iran if Iran is being sanctioned and expect that we're going to trade with China. Why would that make sense? Let's go back. We talked about this yesterday, but it's worth hearing from Bessent. Iran now faces a very clear choice with only two paths before them. Complete global isolation and a subsistence to economy or a path back to normalcy with an opportunity to rejoin the global economy.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Today we are launching Operation Economic Outcast to foreclose every other option available to the Iranian regime. Treasury has mapped every node, every facilitator, and every network that Iran has used to smuggle oil and evade sanctions. Beginning today, the actions of Treasury and other agencies will tighten the noose and block every potential source of revenue that funds, the IRGC and the evil Iranian regime. We are enforcing a zero leakage approach. There will be no minimal breathing space for the regime to rebuild its capacity to inflict terror against America and the world. Okay, so take a look at this. China's biggest trading partners. Iran's not in the top 10. We're actually number one. We trade a lot with China. But Iran does trade $41 billion a year with China. So we don't want Iran and China trading together, right? If we're trying to squeeze Iran,
Starting point is 00:28:06 we need to make sure that we take out Iran's biggest trading partner, which happens to be China. Well, guys, we are China's biggest trading partner. So we have a little bit of clout. And what they're trying to do is use that clout now. You go on down the list. We get Taiwan as an ally. We got Vietnam as an ally. Australia as an ally. Germany theoretically, all that is to be continued. You've got Japan as an ally, right? So if we take all our allies and we say, hey, hey, hey, you're not going to trade with Iran. Well, then you really start to squeeze Iran. And that's the direction that they're going. So this has become a little bit of a problem with Canada, not because Canada is trading with Iran, but because Canada thinks it's just going to keep on trading and trading with China.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Well, we want leverage with China. We want to knock out that $41 billion that Iran is getting from China. So how do we do that? We've got to coalesce. We've got to have everybody on the same darn page, and that means Canada, you, okay? Canada's going to wake up and smell the coffee, and they've got to recognize that they have to play ball.
Starting point is 00:29:10 And that it's kind of, I mean, I hate to say our way of the highway on this one, because it doesn't sound very diplomatic, but it sort of is because you're either you're in or you're out. And because they wouldn't sacrifice some of their trade relationships with China that would be precarious for us, suddenly now we're in a situation where this trade war is back on. They just leveled a whole bunch of trade tariffs, retaliatory tariffs on motorcycles, on foods, metals, you name it. They're all in on that.
Starting point is 00:29:42 And I'll tell you, it's going to backfire. It's going to backfire fast. Alberta, they want out. You know, they won't, they don't want any part of any of this. Two and five Canadians will hear the words, you have cancer. That's why every step and dollar raised matters. On September 19th, join thousands in Toronto for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation walk. Challenge yourself, friends, and family to walk 21 kilometers in support of life-saving research.
Starting point is 00:30:11 Together, we can carry the fire and help create a world free from. the fear of cancer. Register today at pmcf walk.ca.ca. They already were pretty darn mad at Carney as it was. I mean, listen to Danielle Smith, who is the premier in charge of that province. To the new prime minister and the liberal party, I have one message. Alberta has had enough. Enough with Ottawa trampling over our provincial jurisdiction like Canada's constitution doesn't exist. Oh, she's mad. Okay, we're going to go back to her. That's important. But Mark Carney, ever the politician, not a very good one, but ever the politician, is out there trying to spin this as, oh, the U.S. was going to take us over. We can't succumb to Donald Trump and the United States of America.
Starting point is 00:30:59 We've got to stand on our own two feet. Listen. Last spring, I warned that America is trying to break us so they can own us. And I promise that that will never, ever happen. we are keeping that promise Canada is becoming stronger and less dependent on America we are already giving ourselves
Starting point is 00:31:21 more than they can take away and we are just getting started oopsiezy hate to tell you this Canada but it turns out you're kind of relying on us I mean we may own you already
Starting point is 00:31:37 take a look at that chart $750 billion that's the amount of trade that we do with Canada as of 2025. That was just last year, okay? And you look at their other trading partners. I mean, they get China for 89 billion. They get Mexico for 44 billion. It goes on down the list, right down to France for 10 billion. I'm sorry, like we are way out ahead. So I guess, Carney, what you don't know is we already do own you. Look at this one. My goodness, they export $400 and nearly $4 billion worth of goods to the U.S. of A.
Starting point is 00:32:14 So they're not going to have that $404 billion anymore. I mean, they got nothing close to it. China's not buying that much from them. China is buying $24 billion. The U.K. is buying $33 billion. That's only because they were buying a lot of gold last year. Normally, they're nowhere near that territory. They were just getting a lot of Canadian gold.
Starting point is 00:32:34 You look at Japan for 10 billion. Ooh, Denmark, way up there at 6.8 billion. I'm sorry. Look at these numbers. They get nothing from no one. Germany at 6.6 billion. Mexico, 6.4 billion. South Korea, 5 billion.
Starting point is 00:32:50 And then on down the line, they get France at 3.6, Italy, 2.8, and India at 2.8. So you really want to pick a fight with the country that kind of owned you already. I'm sorry. I know we have a lot of Canadian viewers, and I don't mean to be flivis. about it, but you know what? I love Canada. I really do. I love Tim Hortons. My husband grew up in Buffalo. So like right next to, right next to Toronto, he knows like Canadian trivia like you wouldn't believe, not to mention, you know, loves hockey and all that stuff, okay? So I love Tim Hortons. And I mean, I've traveled in Canada. I'm from New Hampshire. So there's a big Quebec influence there
Starting point is 00:33:30 in New Hampshire and, you know, the French thing. And it's great. I've also been out to the west coast of Canada. It's gorgeous and nothing against Canada. But I'm just telling you, you know, this is what it is, all right? We kind of own you already, $403 billion that you sell into us. And yet Carney keeps playing this idea. Look, when the Americans go to the negotiation table first with the right attitude towards our industries and a true partnership, of course, we'll come to the negotiating table.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Let's be clear. There is, well, there is an existing arrangement between our countries and Mexico that works. It can be improved. There's ways to improve it, and we will work to improve it in ways that are to the benefit of Canadians, but also to the benefit of Americans and the people of Mexico. Okay. Well, here's a deal. You're only selling $6 billion worth of stuff to Mexico, and you're selling $403 billion to us.
Starting point is 00:34:29 So I don't know what you're thinking is here. You're going to keep saying this over and over again. I get it. You know, you don't want to get owned by us. Does it feel like today Mark Carney is going to war? Trade war. The tone. Because we're attacked.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Like you're at war when you get attacked. We got attacked. The U.S. put 50%. We waited until the United States decided to actually implement the so-called 338 tariffs. That's fine. We've got the reserves. We've got the resilience. We've got the plan. We've got the focus. We'll respond. We're going to focus on what we can control. We're going to build. Okay. Good luck. I mean, here's the problem. They had a deal. Right? They had a deal.
Starting point is 00:35:15 And I guess just because of, you know, China, this all fell apart. I mean, just a couple weeks ago. Remember the president was out there saying this? We had a very good conversation with the prime minister last night. And we've come to a deal with Canada. As you know, the 50% tariffs across the board were going on against Canada today. And they called yesterday and they gave us the points that we had to have. Very fair deal for both. The tariffs will be non-existent for our farmers. Our farmers were paying tremendous tariffs into Canada and those tariffs are going to be totally eviscerated, down to zero. We're doing certain things. We've got to give something and we're doing certain things.
Starting point is 00:35:58 They were paying a high number. We're reducing it a little bit. It's good for everybody. But our farmers are going to be thrilled. Our manufacturers are going to be thrilled. And basically, we have no tariffs going into Canada anymore. Canada was charging us tremendous tariffs. We no longer have any tariffs.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Okay. You know, this is concerning, only because it seemed like they had a deal, and then they didn't have a deal. Now, if you listen to Representative James and Greer, he's the U.S. trade rep. One of the things that he's pointed out is that there were new demands made and walkbacks on other things that they already had committed to. The U.S. said it had offered Canada, actually the best treatment of any major exporter, including tariff reductions
Starting point is 00:36:44 in steel, for example, aluminum automobiles and lumber. And for some reason, this just didn't come to pass ultimately. And it really is, if you ask me all about China. Another one, we've got to make sure that they don't have backdoor ways to basically get Chinese goods into the United States of America. Because if they're doing that, then what power do we have, what leverage do we have if we try to negotiate more aggressively with China? You see how this all plays out. And you know what? It's becoming a political circus up north in Canada. You got a guy who is in charge of Ontario. You know, there's like Lake Ontario up there near New York.
Starting point is 00:37:35 I told you my husband grew up in Buffalo. Lake Ontario may soon become Lake America. How do you like that? Doug Ford, ooh, he's cruising for a bruising. Is he ever? My goodness, this guy who runs Ontario, he just keeps asking for it. Let's go to him right here. We need to fight these tariffs, tariff to tariff.
Starting point is 00:37:57 dollar to dollar. And I'm glad he didn't sign that deal because it was a bad deal. It was a bad deal for Ontario. It was a bad deal for the auto sector, the steel sector and manufacturing sector. And we never started this fight, but I can assure you, we're going to win this fight. I'm not so sure about that. Again, you know, I just go back to the reality check that we are your biggest customer by far. In fact, Canada exports 16.4 times as much dollar value in goods to America than it does to China. And if you take all the other countries combined, they're actually sending 2.3 times as many goods in dollar value to the United States of America as they do the rest of the world. So we're kind of the most important game in town. The president knows this. And so when he heard that little comment from
Starting point is 00:38:57 Doug Ford out of Ontario, he did say lots of bluster from Doug Ford, who is the premier of the Canadian province of Ontario. You know, I really hadn't heard much about him before that. He is better known as the less charismatic, intelligent, overall, unimpressive brother of the late great Rob Ford. America has been carrying Canada for decades, but no longer the USA will be far bigger, richer, and stronger than Canada. Will we already always be? He said always be far bigger, richer and stronger without it. The U.S. Canada wouldn't survive Dunton. Don't we know that? Don't we know that? I mean, for goodness sakes, they need us. They need us big time. Again, they need our money. So Doug Ford didn't
Starting point is 00:39:33 really like getting called out by the president. He and the reporter had a little back and forth with it. And then he got, well, colorful. I could do his voice, but I can't, so I'll just do it normal. Lots of bluster from Doug Ford, uh, who is better known as the less charismatic. intelligent and overall unimpressive brother of the late great Rob Ford. So you guys aren't going to be best friends. Let's get your reaction to that. Well, I can go back and forth with Trump. You know, I'm not going to, I'm just not going to take the bait.
Starting point is 00:40:04 This guy's a loser. He's going to be a loser. And as simple as that, we're going to fight with everything we have. And, you know, something. I have more courage, more brains of my baby toe than he has in his whole body. So there you go. Sounds like he took the bait. Right? That sounds like he got a little flustered.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Well, he ain't seen nothing yet. Lake Ontario, adios. All right? We're looking at Lake America pretty soon. The president sending this out today on true social followed up with the United States is given serious consideration to changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in that we don't expect to be doing business with Ontario much longer. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Starting point is 00:40:49 even the CBC, the Canadian broadcasting companies, analysts are saying, you know, this is not going over well because you know what? Canada is going to get more divided. And Alberta, that's like the only province with any money up there, they're going to say, see ya. A number of premiers, not just Premier Ford, but a number of premiers are prioritizing the political high and the dopamine hit of hitting back against Donald Trump over what might be in the best interest of their province. There's something else that I think the premiers in particular need to be very careful about doing and that's putting on the table for countermeasures or threats around energy supply assets and resources for which they do not control if Daniel Smith had put it had suggested publicly that removal of the French language packaging labeling requirements anything really to do with Quebec cultural sovereignty was on the table and something that the Prime Minister should consider,
Starting point is 00:41:48 premiers would rightly be outraged. I think it is irresponsible to ask Daniel Smith and Scott Moe to leverage their own energy assets without considering what's those in your own province. That's how you have more division in this country. For sure, and the division is happening in real time. Alberta is getting closer and closer to seceding from the rest of Canada, and that may just be fine by us. The pressure is on. Let's go back to Danielle Smith.
Starting point is 00:42:15 Danielle Smith is the woman who's running the province of Alberta, and Carney doesn't appreciate that she allowed this whole thing to come to a vote. To the new Prime Minister and the Liberal Party, I have one message. Alberta has had enough. Enough with Ottawa trampling over our provincial jurisdiction, like Canada's constitution doesn't exist. Enough with the meaningless virtue signaling climate policies that only make Canadians poorer and threaten our energy security. Enough of their screw the West will take the rest mentality.
Starting point is 00:42:52 Enough with their soft on crime policies that let repeat offenders roam the streets on bail. Enough with their unsafe supply, their open border policies, their censorship laws. The list goes on and on. You know what? She kind of sounds like she might be a... an American. You know, maybe we take Alberta. To heck with Canada.
Starting point is 00:43:13 We just need the assets, the energy assets right there. Listen, they make a lot of money in Alberta, and they don't appreciate that they don't get heard in the likes of the rest of the country. So they have a big vote coming up. October 19th, they're going to be voting to schedule a referendum. And you've got five million people with very vast resources, and they are fed up with Carney and the rest of them. and this whole trade dispute and the fact that they're going to get tagged now with 50%
Starting point is 00:43:43 terrorists when they're the only ones that make any money in most of the country, that's going to be a problem. Danielle Smith, the woman you just heard from, she went on a podcast just yesterday as all this news came out and she had a little more to say on all of it. I'm telling you, this referendum thing and this push to be independent from the rest of Canada, it's getting closer and closer and, hey, I don't know, we may just take them on. or they get to be independent. How about this?
Starting point is 00:44:09 And we actually have a free, fair trade deal with Alberta. All right? Forget the rest of the country, for goodness sakes. We have to follow the law. And our law in Alberta says that if a certain number of petition signatures are gathered on an issue that we're obliged to put it forward to our fellow citizens for a vote. That's the law here. BC has a similar law, in fact. That's part of the reason why British Columbia.
Starting point is 00:44:36 ended up with a referendum on the HST because they got the requisite number of signatures. And there is also a similar law in Saskatchewan. So I know it's unusual in the rest of the country to have that kind of citizen initiative, but we had 700,000 people, 400,000 signed one petition to remain and 300,000 signed a petition to leave. And we felt like to follow the law, we had to put something forward. That being said, there was no perfect question to put forward because at the moment the court has also said that we couldn't put forward a binding vote on separation without extensive indigenous consultation. So I wanted to test the waters. So we put forward a motion that allows
Starting point is 00:45:17 people to vote to remain, option one, or to start the process to leave, which is option two. And so I think that that approach got everybody mad. Those who wanted to remain just wanted a yes, no question. Those who wanted to leave just wanted a yes, no binding question. And those who didn't want a question at all, didn't want me to ignore the law. So I think the approach again that I took was one where I'm demonstrating respect for everyone who went through the process to try to get this meaningful debate to happen in Alberta. I trust Albertans and I need to know what they have to say. I need to know what direction they want me to go and they'll have that option to tell me that on October the 19th. Wow. Okay. So this is very interesting.
Starting point is 00:46:02 historic possibly, and given that we're now in this trade war with Canada, very, very important to watch. And this is sort of pushing Alberta more in the direction of saying, we don't want to have anything to do with you, Canada. We want to strike our own trade deal. So there we're not getting hit with 50% tariffs from the likes of the USA. So, you know, whether or not this eventually happens, we'll see, but I will say one thing. It puts a little. little bit more pressure on Carney to do the right thing and to not acquiesce to China. China, who really doesn't matter in the scheme of things. I mean, I hate to be all about numbers, but who do you think is the biggest customer?
Starting point is 00:46:44 The United States of America, $403 billion big, okay? 16.4 times as big as China. So no, you're not going to turn that around. China's not going to become your biggest customer overnight. Dream on, buddy, dream on. Meanwhile, guess what? the Canada deal, the Canada trade war means Greenland is all the more in focus. Greenland, USA, here we come. I mean, the president's talked about it for a while, has he not? And you got to think to yourself,
Starting point is 00:47:13 you know, look at Carney out there, just picking all these fights with his biggest customer. And he's been doing it ever since he came into office. Yeah, we won Greenland. We won Greenland for strategic reasons. And if we don't have Canada under our wing, under our protection, if Canada is choosing China over us, for example, then guess what? We're going to want Greenland even more. I mean, I think we'll get to Canada eventually too. But you understand the sensitivity involved in all of this. And then you got Carney shooting his mouth out like he did, mouth off at Davos in January 26.
Starting point is 00:47:47 On Arctic sovereignty, we stand firmly with Greenland and Denmark and fully support their unique right to determine Greenland's future. Our commitment to NATO's Article 5 is unwavering. So we're working with our NATO allies, including the Nordic Baltic Gate, to further secure the alliance's northern and western flanks, including through Canada's unprecedented investments in over-the-horizon radar, in submarines, in aircraft, and boots on the ground. Boots on the ice. Canada strongly opposes tariffs over Greenland and calls for focus talks to achieve our shared objectives of security and prosperity in the Arctic.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Not a good thing to say. Not a good thing to say when, you know, you had that USMCA, or maybe he didn't realize that that was coming up. It was nearing its expiration date. And President Trump recognized this was an opportunity to go back in and actually get tough with Canada vis-a-vis their relationships with China. And Canada doesn't seem to understand that, you know, it's kind of the kid in the game.
Starting point is 00:49:03 I'm sorry, but, you know, this is the analogy I'm going to use. I've used it with Europe as well. And as a kid, you kind of got to be in line, especially because you're a kid that still lives at home with mom and dad. You're sharing the border with the US of A. And guess what? If you get attacked, we're jumping to defend you ASAP. So you can't be hanging out with the likes of China and thus Iran. You understand it's all going back, of course, to this desire to control the world's energy supply, because whoever controls the world's energy supply is controlling AI. And the future. So this is very, very sensitive stuff right now. Donald Trump knows this. He gets it. It's why he had
Starting point is 00:49:43 this much to say about Greenland and why he behind the scenes is doubling down on Greenland right now. I have tremendous respect for both the people of Greenland and the people of Denmark. Tremendous respect. But every NATO ally has an obligation to be able to defend their own territory. And the fact is, no nation or a group of nations is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the United States. We're a great power, much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out two weeks ago in Venezuela. We saw this in World War II.
Starting point is 00:50:18 When Denmark fell to Germany, after just six hours of fighting, and was totally unable to defend either itself or Greenland. So the United States was then compelled. We did it. We felt an obligation to do it, to send our own forces to hold the Greenland Territory. territory and hold it we did at great cost and expense. They didn't have a chance of getting on it. And they tried. Denmark knows that. We fought for Denmark. We weren't fighting for anyone else.
Starting point is 00:50:49 We were fighting to save it for Denmark. Big, beautiful piece of ice. It's hard to call it land. It's a big piece of ice. But we saved Greenland and successfully prevented our enemies from gaining a foothold in our hemisphere. So we did it for ourselves also. And then after the war, which we won, we won it big without us. Right now, you'd all be speaking German and little Japanese, perhaps. After the war, we gave Greenland back to Denmark. How stupid were we to do that? Yeah, and then he wants it back, okay? He also said NATO wasn't there when we needed them. remember Greenland that big, poorly run piece of ice, right? So why do we want Greenland right now? I see some of you guys talking about space lasers and you're absolutely right. We need it
Starting point is 00:51:42 strategically. It's important. It's important to the dome that he's trying to set up to protect the U.S. We want that Arctic military control. We want missile defense. We want satellite capability. We want space infrastructure. We want a whole bunch of things. We want to secure those shipping lanes, right? And we want to be very much on top of this Chinese and Russia competition. Greenland also has a lot of minerals. And so some of the negotiations that are happening right now behind the scenes were demanding veto power over Russia and China's mineral rights. I mean, how does this make sense that Russia and China may get mineral rights in the likes of Greenland? Don't forget, Russia and China were down there hanging out in Venezuela, big time, getting all kinds of mineral rights and oil rights. And, you know,
Starting point is 00:52:23 that was one of the first things in the quote unquote Don Roe doctrine. What did he do? He went down there and he took over. And so these are examples of why you want. want these strategic opportunities. We're locking down bases. Right now, something that Marco Rubio actually alluded to a few months ago when this person in government decided to ask him about Denmark and Greenland. I assume you're aware that Greenland is indeed part of Denmark. For now.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Okay. We are actually involved in conversations with Greenland and Denmark on the use of Denmark. on the use of Greenland for collective defense for all of us. It's a key part of missile defense, but we're involved in those talks right now, so I think we're in a good place on it now. Two and five Canadians will hear the words, you have cancer.
Starting point is 00:53:18 That's why every step and dollar raised matters. On September 19th, join thousands in Toronto for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Walk. Challenge yourself, friends, and family to walk 21 kilometers in support of life, saving research. Together, we can carry the fire and help create a world free from the fear of cancer. Register today at pmcf walk.ca.ca.com. Yeah, we're getting there. We're getting there. We'll be in an even better place once we have these territories that we want, but the talks are ongoing,
Starting point is 00:53:53 as Marco said, and I would say that talks are about to heat up rather significantly because of the Canada situation. And it's not like the whole world. is suddenly going to, you know, what is Canada's future? I still go back to this. Like, what are they thinking? What is their future? What is their plan, given that we are such a critical part of their overall economy accounting for 16.3 times as much in trade as the likes of China? So why are they kowtowing to China? I just don't get it. I just don't get it for political reasons. Does Carney think that this is smart? Oh, he's going to be the big guy? A lot of bravado up there and take on Trump. and then Denmark, well, you know, Denmark has always been kind of whiny, right?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Like they've always been out there. And they were terrified of Donald Trump in the first go around. Well, now they're really scared, as they should be. Europe, they've just been put on notice. Maloney was this is what it all about was Georgia Maloney. I think we now know why you are not willing to allow us the use of our own bases in Sigonella. we just wanted to stop over, you know, get a drink of water, a little pit stop on the way to Iran and to the Strait of Hormuz. And yet she wouldn't allow us access to our own basis. So that kind of
Starting point is 00:55:15 kicked off a big spat, if you would. And the most recent of which suggests it's not going well between Donald Trump and George Maloney because Donald Trump made a big point to say she was begging for a picture with him that she kind of wanted to patch things up. And she, She said this. I and Italy, we never beg. Italy and we never beg, she said. Well, you know, she wouldn't let us have access to Sigonella.
Starting point is 00:55:47 And I think, given these new trade developments, given what Bessent is saying about this economic D-Day and how he's going to turn Iran into the outcast, I think we now know why. I think Georgia's got a little thing on the side. as do some other Europeans with Iran. Maloney back then said the basis used by the U.S. and Italy derived from agreements signed in 1954, and they have been updated since then by various governments. And according to those agreements, she said there are technical authorizations when it comes to
Starting point is 00:56:21 logistics and non-kinetic operations that do not involve put simply bombing for any other kind of use of basis, it depends on parliament, we are not at war and we do not want to enter a war, blah, blah, blah, blah, I mean, of course they are our bases, right? And they're supposed to be our ally. Good luck with that, especially when our ally is out there trading with Iran. Georgia, I think you're second on that list right after Germany. That all kind of makes sense, right? Oh, Spain's up there too. Number five. Take a look at this. Iran's trading partners in Europe. You get Germany as of 2025, at 1.3 billion You got Italy coming in at $654 million. You got the Netherlands.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Denmark. Oh, I see. Maybe they'll give Iran. Greenland. That'll work out well for them. They're coming in at $650 million, followed by France, at $283 million. And Spain has given them $277 million. So you see, they need, I guess, Europe.
Starting point is 00:57:20 And Europe, for some reason, needs them. Wait a second. Can we back up for a minute? Because didn't Besson say, listen, we're going to put the pressure on. I don't know why we didn't do this before. To me, like, hey, you want to trade with the US of A? We're calling the shots. That's just how it works. I'm sorry, we are the big, you know, we're lucky we were born here. I thank the Lord every day, right? I say this. I tell my kids, you are so lucky to have been born in America. That comes with certain privileges.
Starting point is 00:57:51 We are the world's largest economy. Well, if you're not willing to use and exercise that power to actually achieve outcomes that will secure prosperity and peace for your own people's future, then what you're doing? And we know Biden wasn't paying attention to any of this. I mean, it was like, you know, Fox in the henhouse, as far as China was concerned, they just had a field day. And this is why with Operation Economic Outcast, these Europeans, including Georgia Maloney, have all been put on notice. Guys, you better knock it off. You better stop trading with Iran ASAP. Iran now faces a very clear choice with only two paths before them. Complete global isolation and a subsistence to economy or a path back to normalcy
Starting point is 00:58:38 with an opportunity to rejoin the global economy. Today we are launching Operation Economic Outcast to foreclose every other option available to the Iranian regime. Treasury has mapped every node, every facility, and every network that Iran has used to smuggle oil and evade sanctions. Beginning today, the actions of Treasury and other agencies will tighten the noose and block every potential source of revenue that funds the IRGC and the evil Iranian regime. We are enforcing a zero-leakage approach. There will be no minimal breathing space for the regime to rebuild its capacity to inflict terror
Starting point is 00:59:24 against America and the world. Did you hear that, Georgia? Did you hear that Fred Mertz? Friedrich Mertz over there, the German chancellor, who's like the most unpopular ever? Did you hear that Denmark? Did you hear that Macron? I mean, for as long as you're still going to be there.
Starting point is 00:59:46 And Spain, little Petrito Sanchez, I don't know what you're going to do. you know, we cut you off and it's kind of game over. We're already looking at cutting you off because of the disaster that is Seuta, with 80,000 migrants pouring into that little town that's only 80,000 strong. That's the updated number. I mean, I've seen estimates of 50,000, 60,000, but now some of the people in Seuta are saying it was 80,000. I mean, the size of the whole town pouring in, and they still are dealing with the aftermath and the fallout from that. Because Pedro Sanchez thought it was a great idea to just tell everyone, if you come here, will give you status. Well, what do you think?
Starting point is 01:00:24 Everybody's coming there. Well, I got to say, and not to mention, there's a historic relationship that Spain has had with Iran. They really like Iran's saffron. Mm-hmm. And I suspect the oil, too. So this has to be dealt with. I mean, you cannot put sanctions on a country and not expect that they're going to have teeth.
Starting point is 01:00:48 And they won't have any teeth. if all of your allies are like, yeah, no, no problem. It's kind of like, you know, if you're in high school or grade school, maybe, and you've got a friend, you've got some best friends. Let's say that. You get your little click. You get your circle. And there's a bully from another circle, and the bully starts attacking you.
Starting point is 01:01:08 And you're like the leader of the click, right? And that bully keeps going after you. And your click doesn't stand up for you? your group, then, hey, you know, maybe that group's not so good. So maybe some of the members of the group. Some of them say, hey, you know what? I'm going to come to your defense because it's not fair what that bully is doing. And you say, okay, thank you.
Starting point is 01:01:32 And some of your friends come forward. And then you start looking around the group and say to yourself, well, gee, you're not really my friend, now, are you? And you're hanging out with so-and-so and so-and-so behind my back? What's that about? The very gang that's trying to bully me? I mean, if Europe is our partner, hey, you look at NATO and how much money we spend on NATO, for goodness sakes.
Starting point is 01:02:01 We keep Europe afloat. And then they're going around behind our back and trading with the likes of Iran. I think not. I think not, okay? We got to be smart here. Besson's smart. I mean, he kind of took down the Bank of England back when he worked for Soros. Don't hold that against him. But he's smart, all right? So he knows what he's doing. And when it comes to,
Starting point is 01:02:23 dare I say, weaponizing the financial instruments that he has at his disposal, he's willing to do it. And so I think Italy's been put on notice, Germany most definitely, Denmark, you know, forget about Denmark, for goodness sakes, France, Spain, you guys have it coming. And here's the deal. We don't have to pay the NATO bill. We really don't. if you are not going to play ball with us, if you are not going to defend our interests against the likes of Iran, if our own darn neighbor up there in Canada is going to hang out with China instead of hanging out with the kingpins, right, which would be America, $430 billion in trade. We buy $430 billion. The whole trade number is like $716 billion,
Starting point is 01:03:13 but we account for the majority of their economy. They don't have an economy without America and they want to give us the middle finger. I don't think that's going to work out so well for them. What do you think? I'm curious, by the way, we have a lot of thoughts on this and what it means for markets and what it means for gold. Go check us out at 76research.com. That is my company.
Starting point is 01:03:34 Started with a dear friend. Three different portfolios in there. Take a look at all those portfolios. Lots of good opportunities in there. market really, you know, the market's been doing great. And I expect, I'm very bullish, but I'm bullish on America. You know that. I'm bullish on America. So go check that out when you get a moment. You know, um, Dali Parton is no longer with us. Were you a fan of Dali? I was. I remember seeing her movie 9 to 5 when I was a really little kid. I barely remember any of it,
Starting point is 01:04:03 except that she had quite a figure, right? And then I really liked that song. I think I actually had the record. We were going back a few years. Anyway, she has passed away, Dali Parton at the age of 80. And it's strange because I remember reading this just the other day. People Magazine was doing an interview with her. This was like four days ago. Yeah, I mean, four days ago, it was published August 21st. Dali Parton was sharing some updates about her health while announcing her plans for a museum. So they had this exclusive interview with the 80-year-old singer. I mean, what an amazing singer. And she wrote her music, too. Jeline, you know, that song. I, And she's great.
Starting point is 01:04:44 She's just great. Such a wonderful woman, too. The way she really wouldn't get down in the mud, right, on politics and stuff like that. She just wasn't willing to go there like so many of these singers and athletes or, you know, actors and actresses, George Clooney, I'm looking at you, are willing to go. She really kind of stayed above all that. She's a very smart businesswoman. Dollywood, of course, was created.
Starting point is 01:05:07 The president of the United States saying that they are going to lower the flag at the White House. They're putting it at half-mask, gosh, for an entire week, an entire week. So here, let me get his statement for you. He says here, quote, very sad to report that Dolly Parton, one of the greatest country singers, and far beyond ever, has just passed away. This is a true loss for millions of people. There will never be anyone like her and never will. There was, there has never been anyone like her, never will. In her honor, I am looking. lowering the American flag throughout the United States for a week beginning tonight at 6 p.m. Rest in peace, Dolly, the world loves you. President Donald J. Trump.
Starting point is 01:05:55 I mean, just an amazing woman. And again, it's so sort of shocking because she had just come out in this interview. And she admitted that while she was taking care of her husband, Carl, who was ill, she kind of overlooked her own health. And as a result, she was having to cancel an upcoming tour, and she mentioned that she still wanted to keep working in so that her team was looking at the creation of a Dolly Avatar, and she was trying to use technology to find new ways to come to people because she didn't think she was going to be, you know, I don't know if this was an omen or what,
Starting point is 01:06:27 but let's go to her family's statement that they released just a short time ago this afternoon watch. Hey, everyone. My name is Brian Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I am representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my Aunt Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, sister, sis, aunt granny to one generation and Gigi to the next. This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me,
Starting point is 01:07:03 I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven't truly felt it until now. It is an honor, an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly. Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who have watched her and longed for her to meet them in the heavens. I first went on the road with Dolly as a kid, getting a taste of the road life in the early 1980s. Dolly opened doors not just for me, but for her entire family to reach the potential we didn't even know. was possible. Dolly also opened doors for generations of singers, songwriters, musicians, and dreamers from every walk of life and across every continent. By her example, we believe that anything was
Starting point is 01:07:49 possible. She never saw a door she couldn't open, and the doors she opened made and changed history. My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly, but so of you. She has always been on your television, your record player, your CD, and on your phone playlists. And on your phone play list, becoming an extended part of your family whether you liked it or not. Our family and the team she has entrusted with her legacy will work diligently to ensure her spirit will live with us forever. Dolly was a farmer, just like her daddy. He farmed the soil, she farmed songs and happiness.
Starting point is 01:08:24 Dolly called me and said she wants to rest in a beautiful bed of plush cotton because after a life wearing heavy rhinestones, she finally deserves to be comfortable and have some rest. Rest in peace, Aunt Dolly. Granny, Gigi, may God bless Daly Parton, and may God bless you all, she will always love you. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:08:46 You know, don't forget, that was her big song, and I will always love you. And remember Whitney Houston sang it, but if you want to go back and hear the original, oh, I'm getting chills. I'm getting chills.
Starting point is 01:08:57 I mean, oh, sorry. I didn't even see that. How terrible my picture was covering. Sorry about that, Dolly. You won't hear me speak if I take my picture off entirely. So let's just make me really, really, really small. There we go. I mean, she was just an amazing artist. I never interviewed her. So I only saw her from afar, as I'm sure many of you have. But what an incredible woman who was able to accomplish such an
Starting point is 01:09:26 extraordinary amount. Lee Greenwood actually just releasing a statement a short time ago. Let me see if I can pull this up for you because he was a very big. Dali Parton fan and, you know, for the flag, the president was clearly a fan as well, for the, for the president to be lowering the flag for an entire week. That really tells you something here. Let me see if I can get this on the screen because Lee was just very, very poetic in what he had to say. And I want to bring this to you as well. He said, Dali Parton has always carried a light that shines from deep within is a light that will never fade. Her gifts is a singer, songwriter, a musician, actress, and entertainer, legendary, but as remarkable as her talent is, I believe
Starting point is 01:10:14 her greatest legacy is her heart. Her faith in God, her kindness, her incredible work ethic, and her generosity are simply part of Dolly. Who Dolly is. She has that rare gift, she has that rare gift of connecting with people and making everyone feel like they matter. And perhaps this is why her music has meant so much to so many of us. We all lived a little bit of life through Dolly's songs. She gave words to love and heartache, hope and hardship, joy, and dreams. Somehow she could tell her story and make it feel like ours. Dolly has spent a lifetime sharing her light with others. Perhaps the greatest tribute we can give her is to carry a little of that light forward ourselves, to be kinder, to give more generously, to lift others up and to leave the world
Starting point is 01:11:00 a little brighter than we found it. He ends by saying, we will always love you, Dolly, most definitely. I just want to say something else. I don't know a ton about her background, but I remember reading that she always insisted on owning her own songs. And for some reason, that kind of hit me as a creator, right, myself, because I used to work for a lot of networks and they always owned my content. And it struck me as amazing that when she was so young and she was first starting out,
Starting point is 01:11:29 there was an opportunity to sell her something. She wanted to own them. And so she was just a really smart businesswoman and creator from the beginning. And not only that, but just had, in my estimation, in all the interviews that I've seen with her over the years, an incredible heart. And this is what everybody's saying. She just seemed like a really nice person who never forgot where she was from in the mountains of Tennessee. And she knew darn well. You know, what? The most important thing in life is being a good person and loving your family and loving God. And so she's with God now. We wish her and her family all the best. Just a tremendous career, a tremendous woman. We don't know as of yet how she passed away. It was something that she said
Starting point is 01:12:20 to People Magazine just a few days ago. She was canceling her tour because she was sick and she was concerned about her health and that she had not paid great attention to her health while she was looking after her late husband. So we don't know exactly what it was, but, you know, 80 years old, it kind of, I think, reminds us all of our own morbidity and it reminds us how precious this life is and really the importance of being a good person and feeling this connection to family and God and whatever it is that you love doing. In her case, it was music. and bringing, I think, an ability for people to connect to each other through music was such a part of what she was trying to achieve every day.
Starting point is 01:13:05 And she worked and she worked and she worked, right? Right up until the end. So Dolly Parton no longer with us, but we have all her music and her legacy. So Dolly Parton, we appreciate that. I'm going to have to watch 9 to 5 tonight, right, in her honor. Thank you, everyone, for being here and for watching this show as you do and for tuning in. If you haven't subscribed, do me that favor. We've got a lot of Dolly fans here.
Starting point is 01:13:32 It's great. We will miss her indeed. And I will see you back here on the Trish Regan Show tomorrow. Together, we can carry the fire and help create a world free from the fear of cancer.
