I think we're going to get some fireworks. Ho! Ho! Ho! Let the games begin, right? This is war. Maria Bardoomo is a fighter. I've known her for many, many years, and she's not going to take any of this departure from Fox lying down. Welcome to the program.

I am Trish Regan. Make sure you subscribe, and we begin here on Maria. Wow. So yesterday, when I was live with you on the show, we talked about how Maria was departing Fox. And for the life of me, I just couldn't figure it out. I was like, well, you know, maybe she's going to start her own thing because I get it. Like, why wouldn't you want to start your own thing, especially nowadays?

And for that reason, maybe they're kind of giving her a little kick in the pants on the way out the door, because it wasn't exactly what you would call a nice press release. It was like Maria Bartramo out at Fox. We have parted ways. And so I was thinking about it. Like, what was this really? And it hit me that, you know, probably this was not a very nice situation. Whatever was going down was not a nice situation.

You can read between the lines, if you would. And then we later learned that, and I imagine this is the Fox PR team leaking like two stories. So one story is she's out. And then the second story behind the scenes to a bunch of these like industry writers, very liberal, interestingly, industry writers, was that she was, Maria was somehow, a little too cozy with the White House and letting the White House in on some private communications between the bosses and the producers at Fox and private communications vis-a-vis the China FBI story that the president came out with. Remember he had the big primetime address and he was like, oh my gosh, like China's really been infiltrating, et cetera. And it was a big deal story,

but you didn't see a lot of coverage in the mainstream media and you didn't see a lot of coverage on Fox. And it was sort of like, well, now why is that? Why is that? And apparently some people at the White House may have asked Maria, why is that? And according to, I'm just going to say it, Fox PR leaks, okay, because the PR department leaking this story. According to the Fox PR leaks, it was Maria who was apparently informing the White House and she was mad because she couldn't cover the story, understandably, right?

Because you're a journalist, you want to cover the story. I mean, this is why it's just so much better, right? the other side. So here's where we are. By the way, this is just a nice little picture I found. Oh my gosh, we're all gone. One of us really gone. Lou Dobbs, Maria Bardooma and myself, we were covering the conventions, I remember. The only one we're missing there is Neil. I have another picture somewhere with Neil as well. But Maria, I've known for many years. We worked at CNBC together. We worked at Fox together. I love her. I mean, I really, really, I think she's just a phenomenal person. She's a phenomenal reporter. She's super hardworking. And now she's leaving after nearly

15 years. So it's pretty, pretty much something. The president weighing in, he was shocked by it last night around 9 o'clock putting this one out. I can't believe Maria Bartaramo is no longer going to have her great show on Fox Business, Fox News, three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional and a true warrior. Her fans of which there are many will not be happy. You know it. People are not happy with this. People are very upset with this. And understandably so. She was kind of the only reason to watch morning TV there on Fox business and now she's gone. Like I said, they kind of gave her this swift kick in the pants on the way out the door. This is the first one. So Daily Mail reporting Maria Barter Romo out at Fox News, New York Post, which is actually

owned by the Murdox who own Fox News. They write this headline, Maria Barter Romo out at Fox News after more than a decade at the cable giant. And again, if you look at the wording in the press release, I'm going to show you here. The cases of some people who are married that you want them if they've changed their name. It's also worth just seeing Maria in action because she didn't put up with fools gladly. But first to the press release, they're saying, effective today, Maria Bardo Romo is no longer with Fox News media. And, you know, we wish her well in her next chapter. Wow. I mean, that was, that was harsh, right? And again, just think about how great she was, as an interviewer, especially,

because she just didn't put up with anything watched. The cases of some people who are married, that you want them if they've changed their name to go and have to prove that with their birth certificate to a registrar? What's the name? What's the name? What's the name? What's the? Yes.

Yes. That's the law. You can't vote if you're not in American city. Yes. Get your birth certificate. Yes. That's exactly right. No problem.

You know what? I wanted a copy of my birth certificate. I went online. I got the birth certificate. I've got it. It took a week. No problem. Yeah.

No problem. Okay. But, um, A lot of Democrats maybe didn't like her. A lot of people internally probably at Fox didn't necessarily like her because she had perhaps some outsized influence with the administration given that the president did like her.

And so now Axios is just coming right out with it. Maria Bartof Romo fired by Fox. And if you read this article, it actually says it here. This is very interesting wording because they're admitting that the PR department told them, Fox News Media fired longtime host to Maria Borda Romo for business readings, a spokesperson confirmed to Axios on Thursday. So they're coming right out, full-fledged, fired.

So, wow, right? That's, and, you know, there's a backstory here. And, you know, her lawyer saying she wasn't fired. And I'm guessing at this point, knowing what I know about how these things go down. And look, I've been in her shoes. I was fired. I mean, they didn't, I don't know if they called it fired, but I'm just going to tell you what it was. I was fired, right?

Like, I went on and I talked about COVID in a way that you weren't supposed to talk about COVID, and I laid it all out there. And I was like, this is basically going to turn into a giant political football. And they're going to run this way, run with this thing all the way to the end zone. And sure enough, what did they do? That's exactly what they did. So it turns out I was right. Anyway, you couldn't say that back then.

apparently couldn't even though I had had my script approved by management because I always had to have my scripts approved by management. Don't mean nuts. Guess what? Over here, I don't have any scripts. Make sure you subscribe. No scripts. Who, feels good to be free.

Anyway, so I went on. I delivered this monologue and they like served it up if you would to all the lions and the lions went nuts and the next thing you know, they called me and said, well, you were going to be on vacation. Actually, I wasn't going on vacation because it was COVID. And apparently, you know, the whole country was shut down. So I was like, no, no, I'm just going to be here. I can still work. And they said, no, no, we're going to suspend your show for two weeks.

So this is the MO, okay, this is the easiest way to do it because legally speaking, right? You can just get the talent off the air. You get them off the air. You remove the liability. And then you hit them with it. And so for two weeks, I'm thinking, okay, well, I'm coming back. And, you know, they're just suspending my show and that really stinks. But that's it, you know, because I was understanding.

under contract. And when you're under contract, you know, you would have to do something for cause. And how could it be for cause? Because, hey, guess what? The CEO of the whole darn news organization approved my script. So this didn't make any sense to me. Anyway, I was off the air for two weeks. And then the next thing you know, like two weeks go by, I get a call on a Friday and we are parting ways with you, take it or leave it. And by the way, we're issuing a press release. Now, in my defense or in their defense even, they said, we're going to pay out your contract. I'm betting I wasn't as expensive as Maria. They're going to pay out my contract. I mean, I guess they kind of had to because what was the cause? You weren't going to fire me when your own darn management team had

approved the script. But with Maria, they don't want to pay her. Okay? So they want her gone, and they don't want to pay her. So now they have to have cause because she just re-signed her deal in February. So here's the cause that they are going with. And she's got a really good attorney for this one. He's the attorney that represented Tucker Carlson and I think Don Lemon and a few of these. I think Sharon Alfonzi over at CBS has hired this guy too. He's supposed to be very, very good. Anyway, Dylan Byers, who's writing for Puck, has the backstory that Marie Bardoner wanted to pursue a story related to China and 2020 election voting conspiracies, a major sensitivity for the network given its dominion and smartmatic lawsuits.

See, that's a biggie. Don't forget, they fired Lou Dobbs after Dominion. It was before the Dominion settlement and before he died. They fired him, and then they fired, they didn't fire. I guess she had a graceful exit to the White House. That would be Janine Piro. Janine Piro left to go to the White House, but she's involved in this. too. And the three biggies, basically were Lou Dobbs, Janine Piro, and Maria Bartoloma. And so the

smartmatic lawsuit is still pending. So yes, there is probably a lot of sensitivity. Maria is like a bull in a china shop, though. And I say that in a good way. Like if she finds a story or she thinks she has a story, like she's completely tenacious and she's going to pursue it and pursue it and pursue it and pursue it. And that makes it hard. Management of reporters and journalists in general can be hard because reporters kind of, you know, we have a higher calling, if you would. And if we feel like we have a good story and this China thing is a good story, right? You're going to keep pursuing it and pursuing it. And you're not going to really want to listen to your bosses when they tell you, nope, you can't say that on the air anymore.

And they do. That's literally what happens. I mean, I, especially at Fox. I mean, it happened over and over and over again. I was doing Venezuela every night. It was a great story for me. All of a sudden, they're like, we don't want you doing Venezuela anymore. Why not?

It's rating. I have all these sources. Well, we don't want you doing it. why not? Like they don't tell. Oh, you'll get that on a guest too. You're booking a guest. The guest is doing great. You got a good camaraderie. And all of a sudden, we don't want you booking that guest anymore. And they don't even sometimes tell you why. So Maria's like had it. Like she's been dealing with this now for nearly 13 years, right? More power to her. And she is very independent in spirit. And so she probably wanted to pursue this story. Well, they understandably, right?

Like they're a business. They're like, yikes. They just had to be nearly a billion dollars because they couldn't control, you know, the inmates, so to speak. You have a CEO that by a lot of people's sort of estimation is somewhat weak and she wasn't able to kind of keep the wheels on the bus. And so now they're getting a, oh, Maria may go after this story. And if she goes after this story, is it going to turn into another dominion smartmatic thing? Maybe we just need to get rid of her first so that we prevent anything like that. So here's what they're going with. Maria took a screenshot of the guidance apparently of Fox business executive sent a text to Fox business producers informing them that the story could not go on the air. Yeah, this is what they do. This is,

this is, I've been there. Bartramo took a screenshot of the guidance and sent it to senior White House officials. So maybe she's got some friends and like those are her sources, right? So and she's, she's talking to her sources who happened to be in the White House. And then somehow Fox learns of it because they're on a phone call. with the White House. And the White House tells them, well, we know, we know that you're refusing to cover this story. We've seen the text from Maria.

So they find out about this, and they're like, that's that. Because you were for our company, you're effectively our property, right? We're in charge of you. And that day, apparently, or right around that time, it was August 9th, they pulled her from the air, what I tell you. I went through a similar thing, right? You know, oh, you're on vacation or not. They pulled her from the air. Maybe she had a vacation. I don't know. They even fired her executive producer as well, according to this report in Puck. And this is all keep in mind knowing that she had

resigned her contract with Fox last February. So that means she has like two and a half years on it, generally speaking. I don't know, sometimes they're four-year deals. It was probably a three-year deal. I'm guessing that she was somewhere in the vicinity of seven to ten million dollars a year because by all reports and it came out in the in the testimony for dominion she I think had been working there I can't remember how many years maybe about maybe about 10 and they learned that she had accrued 70 million dollars in pay in 10 years so if you assume she's making like seven million dollars yeah so I mean probably you know I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10 million bucks a year, maybe more. And so now they don't want to have to be on the hook for that.

They wanted her gone. And they're basically saying, hey, you know, we're going to negotiate an exit. Now, what's really important is they're out there trying to say she's fired and her lawyer saying, no, she's not. And her lawyer's right. I'm going to explain that to you in a second. So that's, again, the Puck story. Status is another one of these sort of liberal publications written by a super liberal guy. You can look at his writing actually. some of his adverbs and adjectives that he chooses are pretty indicative of his bias. And it's funny because I know this writer, and I don't know him personally, really, but I do know that the PR team actually hates him.

They can't stand this little torp. I think he's totally out of him. But they called the little torp because he's a liberal torp, and they fed him a bunch of stuff that they wanted somehow to get out there, right? Like, I don't know what else to make of this. who else would be feeding it to them. Somebody, it was sanctioned by somebody internally in the building.

Okay, so there's this little newsletter that has, by the torp, that has learned that part of almost termination stems from an incident, which has not previously been reported, that occurred in July. After Trump delivered his, unhinged, the writer writes,

prime time speech in which he pushed more conspiracy theories about the 2020 election. I told you he was biased, right? They called the liberal biased torp. this time making a number of allegations against China. Oh, we just love China. If we're liberal, we love China. After all, they're paying our backdoor salaries, right?

I am told that Fox News issued a guidance to senior employees instructing them to steer clear of giving credence to Trump's. Oh, I forgot to online this one, underline this one too. Delusional claims. Delusional. I'm sorry, buddy boy. But, you know, you guys are the same team that told us there was no Hunter Biden laptop. There was a big deal, Russia, scam.

there was also this thing called COVID that came from a wet market, as opposed to the lab where we all knew it was created. So anyway, I'm kind of sick of this, but this is just to point out his bias. So he's doing, and the irony of this is he is doing the Fox PR people's bidding. He's like working for the man, right? For News Corp. He's out there helping the Murdox to make sure they're not going to have to get squeezed for millions of more dollars. Indeed, the day after the prime time address, Fox News, conspicuously about it. avoided covering the debunked, there we go, claims the president had pushed. I'm sorry, but the FBI

had some of those claims, too. The lack of coverage raised eyebrows among media observers at the time. It also appears to have caught the attention of the White House. It's unclear whether Trump or someone at the White House inquired with Barteroomo about the lack of coverage, but ultimately Bartaromo spilled the secret, this little newsletter has learned, devulging to the White House that Trump's speech had received scant coverage on the channel because network bosses had ordered it. So I'm even told the text message in which Fox News, Brass offered their guidance was shared by Barterromo with the White House. And in doing so, Barter Romo not only effectively betrayed her employer because suddenly

this guy is like loving Fox. This whole thing is kind of interesting. Not only betrayed her employer, but also disclosed confidential company information violating the terms of her employment agreement. All right. So I guess they're going to have to prove it, right? I guess they're going to have to prove it, number one. And that's where the lawyer comes in.

So Maria Bartonimo isn't taking any of this stuff laying down. She has gone out and she hires this guy, Brian Freeman. Brian is a very, he's who you want in a situation like this. He is a badass attorney who's going to go to war with Fox. And he's been to war with Fox before because Tucker Carlson also was fired rather unceremoniously and they didn't want to pay them out. I guess I'm lucky that I was so cheap because they were just like,

okay, we'll pay you out. And then they were just hoping I didn't sue them. But, you know, I don't know. I just like to move on with my life, right? You move on in life. And in some ways, it was just like the best thing that could have ever happened because I wouldn't be over here doing this now, right?

And I've been staying there and I hated it. I hated having to get my scripts approved. I hated having to write it all out. I have so much I want to say. Let me just say it. Anyway, so she hires Brian. And here's what Brian put out today. This is important.

He said for many years, Maria Bartramo hosted three number one rated televisions. It's true. The president was making that point, too. I mean, she is just incredible. Three number one rated television shows on Fox channels. She has been, without question, one of the hardest working journalists throughout her award-winning career. That is for certain. The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartaroma was fired

or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely unequivocally false. He's right, and I'm going to explain that in a second. Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses, and they will come out whether through the courtroom or otherwise. Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth. Way to go, Brian. And, you know, it's funny because they keep these little reporters

that write for these little newsletters that nobody actually really reads. Like they didn't put this in the New York Times. They put them in these little newsletters or they have plausible deniability. But I'm telling you, like, that's coming from internally within the building. Somebody is feeding those particular reporters, those very liberal reporters that should actually hate Fox, but they just hate Maria. Like, they hate everyone, right? But right now, Maria makes for a good story for them and they kind of hate her. So they're pushing out that she was fired, et cetera.

even Axios. I mean, Axios should know better. They're saying she was fired. Here's why I'm going to tell you she's not actually fired. She has a contract that she signed in February. And they have to keep paying her until the two sides come to some kind of agreement. It's like with me. All right. I was never fired. I actually was still working technically for Fox. There's this thing in your contract. that is basically pay or play. Okay, so they can hold you. It's kind of arcane and pathetic, but they can keep you as an asset, and they can take you and they can put you up on the shelf.

And they can say, look at my pretty little asset there, just sitting there on the shelf. Oh, I own Trish Regan. I own Maria Barteramo. I own whoever. And as long as they're still paying you, they can sit there and look at you all day long.

And it's kind of a pain, right? because, you know, if you're in this business, you want to get out and do your thing and you want to keep reporting and, you know, you have to be really careful. I remember, like, I didn't even tweet. I actually, by the way, I reached out to Maria last night and sent her a couple of texts just, you know, to offer my support, of course. But I didn't hear back and I know why. I couldn't, I couldn't text anybody back either. And I couldn't tweet and I couldn't go on a radio show and I couldn't, you know, because you're, you're now in that stage. where you're trying to work it all out. But she's not fired. She's under contract. They're still paying her.

She's still getting health insurance. Okay, so he's right that those are erroneous reports, and those are just, that's just spin, because they're trying to get out of having to pay her whatever they would have to pay her, which would be many millions of dollars. So that's why they're feeding it to these reporters that they know,

hate the White House and hate successful television news anchors like Maria Bardo Roma. And what her lawyer is saying is that none of this is true. And, you know, here's the president again. Just he's, he's so disappointed. And of course, you know, he was disappointed when I left too and called me up. Hey, it's not every day that you get the president of the United States, right, calling you on a Saturday morning. But he's upset because I think he probably sees it as a little bit of an affront on him. The other thing I would say on this. So Maria's got this lawyer, and now they're going to have to prove this out. They're going to have to prove that there was, in fact, some text message that she shared with the White House, and then

they're going to have to approve that that was indeed a fireable offense, because he may take the argument that she was being a reporter, and the fact that Fox was deliberately trying to constrain the reporting on a particular story, that in and of itself is kind of a story, right? And let's just be objective about this, you know, when Catherine Harage was trying to report on the Biden laptop and CBS wouldn't let her, like, that's a story. So if Maria thought that she had a story and her network's not allowing her to do so, and, you know, she happens to mention it to some of the sources on her that are part of the story, then, you know, he may make the argument that she was just doing her job as a journalist. And they'll come back and say, no, you know, this was not good for the business. You

can't just, you know, go off and be on an island like that. Well, you can if you're over here, right? So again, this is my push to Maria. Come join us over here where we actually have fun. And we get to do whatever we want. We don't have some, you know, middle manager breathing down our back. Anyway, again, oopsie, Daisy. There we go. Yeah, those were the good old days. I told you I had a picture of Neil and Maria and me together. Sanders is the only one that's still there. Maybe Maybe she does what they tell her to do. I like Sandra a lot. This was the debate.

Remember the undercard? We had so many, so many candidates, right, in the original Republican debate back in 2016. And Maria and Neal were hosting the big kids debate with Donald Trump and a few others. And Sandra and myself, first two women to actually ever co-host a debate. I know NPR tries to take that credit, but it actually goes to. to Trish and Sandra. So, you know, look, they fired Lou right before the Dominion thing. Now Janine is out right before the Smartmatic case.

And now Maria is out right before the Smartmatic case. Good thing I avoided all that, right, guys? So I think that the reality on all of this is Maria is going to be a whole lot better off. she is going to do her own thing and be her own boss and get to report as much as she wants to report and she's got tremendous access and she'll have tremendous guests and she'll do really, really well. But she's got to get to the finish line. Like they're going to try and keep her in that little pen for the next two and a half years. So if you recall with Tucker Carlson, they wanted to, I think, pay him,

but they were telling him you can't go work anywhere. And eventually he may have forgone that pay, just so he could go out and do his show on X. Remember that? And, you know, I think didn't, there was another, Megan Kelly had an issue over at NBC when they fired her there. I think she hired the same guy. And NBC wanted to get out of paying her.

And I was like, no, no, no, you fired her. This is not for cause. She is, now I don't know if she had to sit on the shelf. Because I don't think that she was back for a while. So she may have just said, okay, fine. you know, I'm going to take a vacation. I can't see Maria taking a vacation. Maria, like, she works six days a week, kind of seven because you're prepping for your Sunday show on Saturday. So I imagine she'll want to get right back to work and very, very fast.

And here's what I'm going to tell you. She's got a good future ahead of her. Here's a, this is a publication called Brand Strategies. And someone sent me this yesterday. You know, they say never read your own press. And I definitely don't. But it was kind of interesting because they were making the point that, you know, she'll be just fine, and they actually mentioned the success of this program and this show. Maria Bardo Romo, the face of Fox Business, and host of its guest heavy morning show, forgive me. This is the problem with no commercial breaks, okay?

I get a little bit thirsty. Abruptly departed the network on Thursday, and then it, you know, goes on to tout her program and how successful it's been. And then it says, with her departure, the business politics crossover is worth watching. talking about how, you know, she really was an important part of business and conservative media and how that's been kind of lacking and how you do have the Wall Street Journal, which still carries weight. But then it says, center-right political business shows are gaining ground. We recently noticed the success of former Fox business host Trish Regan as she has built a massive audience on

YouTube. And then I'm like, oh, wow, what else did they have to say? And if you link through, it talks about that. So this is kind of nice. This is really, really, really nice. Let me show you this one. So again, the, let's see if I've got it here. Here we go. Okay. Here's their brand strategies. It's called. They wrote a little piece in mid-July. And again, I just saw this because somebody sent it to me in light of Maria leaving. It said, since leaving Fox Business for podcasting in 2021, the former Miss America contestant, oh gosh, that thing will me forever, right? An award-winning business reporter has built a highly successful video-first platform. With 1.3 million YouTube subscribers and a strong presence on the charts of Spotify's video-friendly platform, Regan is outperforming her footprint on audio-only platforms like Apple Podcasts.

And then they say, this is very interesting to me because I didn't even really realize this. It says with 1.3 million YouTube subscribers and the strong presence on Spotify, go check out Spotify if you haven't. She's outperforming her footprint on audio-only platforms like Apple. In fact, chaotic eras, Q2 metrics rank her as the fourth. This is the best part, guys. Okay, this is the best part. Revenge is sweet. The fourth most viewed conservative political YouTube channel, trailing only.

Dun-da-da. Fox News. and Sean Ryan, while outpacing a whole bunch of heavyweights like Tucker and a few others. Wow. I mean, I didn't even know that. Like, I just put it on a show every day and I hope you come. And I, you know, I have an eye on the numbers, but I don't actually compare and contrast. And, you know, I kind of like doing my own little thing and not getting a bunch of headlines necessarily for it,

although I appreciated seeing this. What I was sort of shocked by is that this little channel, I mean, what does Fox have like 20 million subs? 40 million subs? And I have 1.3 million subs. And we're doing, we're the fourth ranked. We're only trailing Fox and Sean Ryan. Way to go, Sean Ryan. Wow.

So so long as I saw that, I was all right, right, let me go look at my numbers. We've done over 2 billion views. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. So 2.1 billion views. And really, you know, I just really started this in earnest. I want to say maybe around 20, 23. mid-year. That's when we started going live every single day. So you guys have been so much a part of that. And I thank you for it. And I mentioned this only to let you know that, you know what?

Unfortunately, for Lou, you know, rest in peace. But Maria's got a lot of life ahead of her and a lot of reporting to do. And she's going to be just fine. She is not going to go down without a fight. She's got a big-time lawyer. And he's making it very clear. She was not fired. They can't fire her. my point too. I was like, well, technically I wasn't fired. I mean, I was like in spirit fired, but technically I wasn't fired. And then they had to pay me out for a year and a half. So it was kind of nice. WTF, kind of, Maria Maria Vodromo news is about to drop. and um oopsie daisy so it turns out it really wasn't that big a deal after all um and maria uh oh we're we're skipping ahead you know here's here's a problem here's a problem with uh being uh your own your own show you're also your own tech at times we're going to skip that but anyway the point is the Huckabee said thanks for catching the him her line i was typing while riding in vehicle on Bumpy Street, but have no idea how that came out. Aside from my clumsy typo mistake, I still love Maria and will always have total respect for her, just her, know him

involved. Indeed, we love Maria. I couldn't agree more. Anyway, just kind of a funny moment. Those things happen, those things happen. All right, we got a jobs market that's on fire. What do you know? Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, 162,000 jobs added in the month of August. Shocker, right? Three times as many as anybody thought. Wow, wow, wow. Here's my friend Rick Santelli, another really good guy over at CNBC. I've known for many years. He's like kind of the hairy end and the business news. Watch. Hold on to your seats, folks. Non-farm payrolls for the month of August, up 162K, 162,000. That's basically three times what expectations are. Now, here's the fly in the ointment, the two-month net revision is minus, excuse me, it was minus 103,000 last month. It's plus 55,000.

Woo! That is great. So plus 55,000 there. Look, again, we're adding up. It's all adding up and you want to be in this market. I'm telling you the president also coming out saying, boy, oh boy, was this not fantastic, fantastic. He also had a few things to say on Spain that yesterday afternoon, Spain is really struggling. Okay, so Spain should have taken the president's advice way back when. But, you know, they got a little Pedrito Sanchez. They're the prime minister of Spain that basically, if you ask me, is completely in bed with Iran and China.

I mean, his predecessor was definitely in bed with China, which is a real problem for NATO and for security. But, you know, Spain has just been a disaster for a whole long time. And they've been all about welcoming all these migrants. They're big believers in the global sort of migration theory. And Pedro has stuck his neck out there. As recently as yesterday, it was just saying, we need to give more money to Morocco to help them. Because apparently he's not interested in building a border wall in Ceuta.

And you had all those people. Remember pouring over the border from Seuta, Spain? It was outrageous. I was actually near that area and talking to people in that area over the summer. And it was bad. I mean, they just couldn't believe it. You had all of these people pouring in the video, the images were just insane. It's like, what were they thinking?

What were they thinking? All of these people, you know, it really was, for better lack of a word, a total invasion. Here's one example. Tanks, I was told that those tanks won't really even do much of anything. And let's see, there was some pretty outrageous footage. I'm going to see if I can find you some of the better footage, or you can also go back and watch some of my reporting from Sayuta. Here is some examples of the people after.

They were all supposed to be gone, but they were there like this. Wow. Wow. So, yeah. This is, I mean, it's crazy. So an estimated 80,000 people poured in over that border into Spain, and it's so out of control. I want to go to Spain today. Let's go to Sayuta, Spain.

these images coming. And you can see that the migrants are still there. And the beaches there in Seuta, which is a big, big, big, big, big, big old problem. And the president knows it. And he's warning Spain. He's warning him hard. Here he is with an interview on gbnews.com.

When you see something like Spain, you know, in a certain way, that's an invasion of a country. Yeah. It's actually, in many ways, worse than a regular military invasion. your country's going to be destroyed. That country is going to be destroyed. Yeah, there are reports about 70,000 people went into sweater. When I look at that, you know, pretty good at estimating crowds, much more than that.

Oh, my gosh, right? And, you know, it's so sad because, look, we've been through it. He's saying he's never really seen anything like this, but we kind of did, right? Like you think about what was going on on the Texan border, and it was another example that maybe not quite as a good thing. I mean, these images were really something else. I'm still trying to see if I can find some of the most brutal ones. It was just crazy because thousands, I mean, here's, I mean, this was, here's another,

I think these are protesters or the migrants were protesting. Wow. That may just be protesters in Spain, which we actually saw yesterday in the streets of Madrid. I mean, there's just thousands of them taking to the streets saying, this is out of control. This is outrageous. And the president agrees. You could do the same thing, and so could Spain?

What's happened with Spain is an outrage. When I look at it, it's so sad. It's going to ruin their whole country. It's going to ruin the system. It's going to ruin law and order. It's a different country. What are they doing? Yeah.

What are they doing? I mean, they hate us. That's for sure. Take a look at, you know, we have a couple of bases over there. Not that far from Sayuta, actually. you basically have the straight of Gibraltar right in between. So it's like Morocco. Do I have a map for you?

I could show you on the map. Basically you've got this, you know, straight of Gibraltar in between the African coast. Sayuta is a little town that belongs to Spain, but is right next to Morocco. And then you've got the straight of Gibraltar. And then you've got all of these towns. Cadiz is actually, and I spent some time in Cadiz

when I was just there over the summer. And that's where we have some military. operations, Rota and Morone. So they have been the most resistant member to NATO. They have refused to pay the 5%. I don't think they're even paying their 2%. And they, for some reason, are getting and pass. It's like you got the one, the youngest in the family who just keeps getting a pass and getting a pass and getting a pass. And Donald Trump was like, all right, at some point, you guys are just not going to get a pass anymore. Rota and Marona are the two bases there. they refused our ability to access those bases.

And it was a big deal because, look, we've been paying for them and we've been running them. And instead, you know, you've got the prime minister, little Pedristo-Sanchez getting out there and saying that this war is unjust and illegal, illegal. Illegal. Yeah, you don't need to speak Spanish to understand that. You know, it's illegal and he wants to hold people accountable. I guess he and the ICC, oh, maybe they can go arrest Trump that way, right? Well, Trump at one point a few months ago kind of sent a message. You sent one of our submarines right over there to the Strait of Gibraltar area just to kind of send a warning.

I know Strait of Gibraltar belongs to the UK, but it's in that Spanish territory. So it kind of sent a message, if you would. But you got Spain that's basically been quite liberal, really, for some time. And they've got, you know, Spanish media. There's an Iranian-controlled Spanish media channel there. so I'm telling you they're very sympathetic to Iran, which is why he's going on and on about this being illegal. They were big traders. They still, apparently still trade saffron.

They like to get saffron from there. Look, I think Spain is a great example of why we can't allow for this open immigration, this open system. It's a mess of an economy. They've got all kinds of social welfare programs that they got a hand out, hand over fist. You get Pedrita saying, come one, come all. and it's turned into a giant cultural mess with people crying in the streets. I saw a video of just a little little girl, maybe 10 years old, saying she's afraid to go out. Parents won't let their daughters out.

I mean, can you imagine living in a town of 80,000 and all of a sudden, 70, 80,000 more people just invade with a completely different culture, a completely different language, and completely different standard of living? That's not going to go well. Well, we were having, to a certain extent, a similar situation happened here in the U.S. And so the CIS just put out this report, and I think this is fascinating. Take a look at the growth in immigration, right, that happened. The foreign-born population that was coming to this country over the last, we're going all the way back to Obama's term.

So it was grown, it was growing, it was growing. You had 2.9 million coming during Obama's first term. And then he had 3.4 million during Obama's second term. And then growth during Trump's first term came out to be. 1.6 million, so he still wasn't able to nip it in the bud, but don't forget, he had all those people all up against him. And then look at this. This is the telling number. I actually think it's more. I think it's more like 20 million, like, you know, in terms of, I guess these are the people that maybe were actually documented foreign-born population, 8.3 million. And now it's declining. It's

down nearly three million. So you have people leaving the country now that we're not born here under Donald Trump. And this is a... important shift. This is a very important shift underway right now in terms of our foreign policy. A very important shift is occurring. And Marco Rubio came out yesterday with a really phenomenal speech. I want to share some excerpts with you because everything is changing right now. Everything is changing. The entire sort of world order that we knew, it's just been turned on its head from an immigration standpoint and from an economic standpoint. I mean, right? you learn in sort of the rule of free trade is that, you know, you just want to keep trading and

trading and trading and trading. And it doesn't matter if, you know, somebody else is able to make all those widgets less expensively than you are because in a world where you are loving free trade, you should want to be able to outsource everything, get it cheaper and cheaper and cheaper and cheaper. But what happens when push comes to shove and all of a sudden, everybody else is creating all your goods. What are your goods that you're making? Number one, and what do you do in a pinch? I remember this during COVID, right? I couldn't get darn Lysol anywhere. I had quite a bit of it. I had somehow oddly a stash. I had been getting it automatically delivered on Amazon and hadn't been quite able to figure out how to turn that off. I was very grateful once 2020 hit. So I had all this

Lysol, but at some point I ran out. And now we're this far along into the crisis. It might have been a year later and I still couldn't buy Lysol. Because guess what? Those chemicals, even if it's made here, the chemicals that we needed, they were all being made in China and those factories were still shut down. So wasn't that a great example of just the most simple thing in the world? You cannot outsource everything for goodness sakes. You can't have open borders. Culturally, it's not going to work. And Marco knows this. And this is a very distinct difference from what we saw in the Cold War era. This is a completely different kind of doctrine, if you would. Marco, take it away.

Let me put it to you this way. I think we made a terrible mistake in this country. Not many years ago under people that were in charge at the time, especially at the end of the Cold War. And that was the idea that the ability to make things no longer mattered. And no matter what didn't matter any longer where things were made. They were to be made in the most efficient place at the lowest possible cost. That meant more profits for the company, lower costs for the consumers. and that was the way the world would work.

There was this fantasy, really, that the whole world would become a free enterprise democracies and that everyone would look like us. Oh, yeah, and that didn't happen, right? I mean, in theory, sure, it sounds good, but what happens when production shuts down in China or, you know, you can't get oil out of the straight-or moves? What happens?

You need to be self-reliant, independent. And this is why things like Venezuela right now are critical. This is why things like Greenland right now are super critical. This is why getting all those chips onshore out of Taiwan and right back here at home. This is why it is so critical. And we need to have a workforce that can meet all of these demands. And Marco knows it.

The president of the United States knows it. You know it. I know it. That ran into reality. The reality that that is not how human events have ever worked, that the nation state still does matter. Nationalism is still real. National borders still matter. and that countries are going to always act in their best interest.

But the result of it is that it deindustrialized America. We lost our ability and our capacity to make things. Wow. I mean, and what happens then? When you can't make anything, you become dependent, you become reliant. And what happens when you have so many people that you have to take care of in an economy and no way to support them? You become Spain or worse, the third world. I mean, I'm just a realist here, okay?

Like, we have to be thinking long term. We have to be planning beyond the quarter and beyond, you know, the earnings result from any CEO. Think of the CEO just wants to, like, make bank, right? Like, they just want to print money. They want to go over and get the cheapest possible goods they can in the cheapest possible place. They want to be able to sell to more markets. I get it. but you've got to have strategic thinking about where the United States fits in that big, wide world.

And we woke up to the reality just a few years ago that we are suddenly as a nation, dangerously dependent, dangerously dependent on other nations for all sorts of things that we need, not simply for our economic vibrancy, but in many cases for our national security and our very survival as a prosperous nation state. And so now we are involved in this endeavor across the board to try to reverse those mistakes. And it will be the work of multiple administrations, but it starts here and it starts now with this one that is receiving attention at this light as high as levels. One way is just the basic ingredients to go into all this. And it's why you've seen such a focus on access to not just critical minerals as raw material, but also to the ability to process them.

But the other has to be the ability to actually make things once again. Yeah. We need to be able to make things once again right here at home. It's a very important part of our future. So all these things are changing. Like all at once you think about this is a massive shift. Everybody's like, oh my gosh, why is he won Greenland? Why is he won Venezuela?

It's because we are coming to the point in no return, if you would, and it's really important that this stuff stay in play, right? I want to get Marco for another four years, if not as president, as Treasury Secretary, not as Treasury Secretary, as State, please. Can we keep Bessent as well as Treasury Secretary? Because Besson's doing a phenomenal job. He's figured out that, hey, you want to trade with us? Guess what?

You're not going to be able to trade with Iran. The Iranians are freaking out. They're like running around trying to get rid of their money in various places. And Bessence all over it. He's like, looking at everything with his purview. He's like, oh, we got some there. We get some there. Oh, and in the BVI, we get some there.

Anyway, they're going to go right down this list. The U.A.E's no longer trading with Iran. Eventually, China won't be traded. but we got the number two trade partner. That's a pretty good, good thing. Again, you can use these financial instruments to help force outcomes. It doesn't always need to be force. I get it.

Force can help, but this is a lot of force. And the president understands this. And Scott Besant understands this. You know who may not understand money, like at all? Do we forget to change our lower third here? I think we did. You know who doesn't understand money? Like, at all, at all, at all.

That would be one, Joy Behar. Joy Behar. She's like part of the Iranian elites, right? Trying to get rid of everything she's got. Joy Behar. You know, Joy. You don't want to make me have to play some more clips from the view, right? She's selling her Sag Harbor home out in the Hamptons for $5.65 million.

Now, before you say, wow, that's great. Like, she's really sitting pretty. She was trying to get $11 million. Oh, yeah. In all seriousness, this woman, I mean, I don't know, she was kind of high on something or what, or just really bad at finance for this little, I think it's like 3,400 square feet, and she wanted 11 million. Well, she originally came out, and I remember reporting on this with you guys,

she originally came out and said she wanted 10 million for this little doodad. And I remember thinking, gosh, you know, maybe she knows something that we don't in terms of her viability there on the view going forward. but it turns out she asked for 10 and then she went to 11. I never told you these people were smart or understood finance or real estate or anything else. This is the report coming to us from realtor.com. That might be another Newsmax corporation so long as we're on the Newsmax theme. Anyway, they've got the exclusive.

The View host, Joy Behar, offloads, Hampton Home, for $5.65 million. nearly half her original asking price. Woo, joy, joy, joy, joy, joy. That's a big, that's a big price sort of differential, if you would. I mean, think about it. She started at 10, and then she went up to 11. And if you read the article, it's actually kind of hilarious. I want to see if I can show it to you.

It is hilarious. And the reason I say it's hilarious is because she's got these realtors that are being interviewed. And they're like trying to pay. pat themselves on the back saying, oh, we did such a good job, didn't we? I mean, we just killed it. We managed to unload this thing. They unloaded this thing. And I don't think they knew quite how to present it. I do think that this might be somewhat telling and that people know that the end is near if you would. Okay, let me get my picture on here. Am I able to do it? I think I am. What do you know? Okay. So here is the story I wanted to show you. This is it. Okay.

The View host Joy Behar off-loaning home for $5.65 million and a lovely little house there, although I was talking to somebody who was more familiar with that market and he told me it's very dated, very dated. It looks like an 83-year-old lips there. I don't know. It's hard for me to see in these little pictures. The final price sale represents a staggering $5.3 million discount from the $10.5 million that Behar originally sought when she put it on the historic home market in late 2025, the historic home on the market. Oh, so she actually started at 11. Forgive me. Okay, she started at like 11. Joy Behar, lovely little house here that she has. TV personality is going to walk away with 900,000 more than she paid in 2016, their writing.

Hmm. That is not a very good trade. Okay? It's just not a very good trade. And I can tell you it's not a very good trade because home prices skyrocketed, especially in the Hamptons during 2020. So if you bought this thing for 4.75 in 2016, you probably should have walked away with, and this is just a rough calculation, probably eight or nine, Joy, but this tells

me you're way overpaid back in 2016 because you probably didn't know what you were doing, and then you way overpriced it in 2026, because again, you don't know what you're doing, and you get a big ego. You see, when ego gets involved here, it becomes kind of a problem. And it certainly was a problem. These agents with Saunders and associates, they said, They opened up to Realtor.com about the unique new tactic they were employing to secure a buyer for the property, increasing the price by $1 million. Having initially listed it for nearly 11 in November, oh, two years ago, the guys admit that that was a price that was too ambitious, likely too ambitious. They say, yeah, you think, likely? I mean, you know, you listed at 11 and it goes for five and a half.

It was definitely too ambitious. But, you know, joy, she's hard to deal with. I get it. She's, you know, kind of a crazy old lady on the view. Anyway, she basically wanted a lot more money. And somehow, I guess they had an offer or they put it out for 5.95 at some point, because it just kept coming down, down, down, down, down, down, down. At some point, they decided we're at 5'9, let's make it 6'9.

and they're trying to say that that was smart. Okay, guys, if you sold it for seven or seven and a half, I'd say it was smart. But you sold it for 5.6, less than the 5.9, less than the 6.9. You can spin this way any which way you want. Joy was desperate. She needed out of this property and she didn't get much for it, considering that she had bought the place back in 2016. I mean, unbelievable, unbelievable.

So, you know, look, if you look at it, Look, it's lovely. It's lovely. But people were saying it's kind of, you know, I have some friends that are sort of in this area, and they're very she-she. And they're like, yeah, you know, it kind of felt dated inside. And I think some of these pictures may have been, I don't know if the realtors were trying to do their vision. Here's a good quote. Basically, they said that a lot of people don't have vision. They don't see what the house could be. What we're trying to do is make it more palatable. What we're all but doing the renovation for them is really what it comes down to. wow, they carried out every necessary step to prepare for a renovation without actually requiring Bayhart to start any construction. So that's the reality of it. Nobody liked her house and nobody wanted it. And they didn't even want it at, you know, eight or nine or seven. She wanted to sell this thing for 11.

I'm just like, man, oh, man, oh, man. I mean, sorry, more than 11, nearly 12. I mean, some people are so delusional. I mean, and this kind of fits with the whole theme, right? This delusional woman who's now basically up against it, and I suspect going to lose her job, probably. I think that shows, I know everybody's like, Trish, you've been saying that forever, and I'm like, well, you know,

I will eventually be right. I tend to always be right in these things. I don't think I've ever been wrong. I'm, you know, I don't know. I did say Scott Besson was going to be the Treasury. I mean, forgive me. I did say our other friend, Scott, is going to be going to the White House as the press secretary. Now we're talking about maybe Maria going, so, you know, I'll give that one some wiggle room.

I don't know. But I think that what is eventually going to happen with the view is that they're going to have a choice. They're either going to have to have a conservative on the show. Oh, there we go. That's another job for Maria. still like to see her do a podcast. I wouldn't wish that view show on my worst enemy, let alone one of my friends. But that job is probably up for grabs. I know that Caroline Levitt is going to be going there for a little round, and she's going to go on there. I'm told anyway, or they're trying

to get her on there as a guest. Maria certainly, I just don't think she would like it very much. You know, you reach a certain point in your career, and you're like, I don't think so. I don't have to do that. But you look at this house, and this is a great example of somebody that's totally delusional, and she doesn't understand what she's up against, and she doesn't understand what she's up against with the FCC. And she doesn't understand that they mean business and that they want fairness in the media, especially the broadcast media. It's one thing to be Maria, right, over on Fox business where she had a point of view. And incidentally, how much you want to bet that, like, Kennedy and others show texts like that all the time, that's going to be another point for her

lawyer that he'll be able to address, like double standard, right? So, you know, she's okay, fine, she's in the tank for Trump. Like, I think it's pretty obvious. It's pretty apparent. She's not running around with a journalism with a capital J on her. She's definitely a conservative. And these ladies are definitely liberals, and they tell us as much. I mean, they just despise Trump.

But the difference is, Maria worked in cable. they work at ABC News. They were a product of ABC News. So what could eventually happen is that the FCC is going to say, okay, enough is enough is enough. You guys are out of here. And then it's going to be game over. And so she'll be really happy that she sold that house, right?

I mean, look at this. They're talking about all the various numbers that they could have gotten. I'm just like, you guys wanted 12 and you got 5.6. and it's amazing considering she she bought it for four something, you know, in 2016. She definitely should have made more money for sure. But this is the, she's not a smart woman. She's just not a smart woman. And I don't think any of those women are particularly smart.

Maybe they're good entertainers, right? Isn't she a comedian by background? She's not a journalist. She's not a political person. She's become one. But she's basically an entertainer. huh 4,500 square feet forgive me i think i said 3600 4500 square feet four bedrooms four and a half bass on a 0.63 acre lot corner lot and said it had very unique bones existing amenities

including the gunite pool in the backyard and uh you know it was just a little dated and nobody had the vision to see beyond what joy liked and eventually um once they basically took it almost all the way down to the studs. And they said, here's the plan. Here's the contractor. Sign on the dotted line. Someone was finally willing to buy it for 5.6. Good luck to them.

Good luck to them. That's a nice few, right? It's probably very lovely on the weekend. I still think the handwriting is on the wall and it's going to be happening sooner than she wants.
