Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello everyone. Welcome to the big show. I'm Trish Regan. This is the Trish Regan show live. We are live. Yes. So be careful what you're writing those comments. I see it all. Good to have you here. Wow. We get some interesting news happening on the MSNBC front. A certain journalist. Dare I say, I should not journalist. Who's kidding? Who? Had something to say that may have revealed the truth, shall we say, about why that network is indeed being spun off via Spinco. Comcast doesn't want anything to do with it. We're going to talk. We're going to talk. about that. Plus, we got to talk about these markets, right? Which are so much higher. Have you guys seen this? This is incredible. I got to tell you, just incredible at this moment in time as we watch everything that's happening as the stock market flies. We'll talk about what's going on in China, et cetera. But first, we have a host on MSNBC actually admitting the truth, admitting the truth about what that network really is. You know what it is. I know what it is. But sometimes I feel bad for anybody watching because if you don't have an expansive enough palette, shall I say, when it comes to news gathering, you might actually believe what they're saying, and that
Starting point is 00:01:11 would mean you're buying into conspiracy theories and the rest of it. MSNBC really, I think learning the hard way that its MO, mode of operation there, Motorsoparandi, is actually not beneficial, right, to the overall company, Comcast saying, it wants nothing to do. do with this company. Comcast is like, we're spinning it off. We don't want anything to do with them because let's be honest, right? They are not a product worth having anything to do with. That's why they're keeping the NBC News Division. That's why they're keeping the streaming division. This is why they're getting rid of cable. Here's Jen Saki admitting. Jen Saki, remember her, aka Pepper and Patty, you know, the one that was at the White House,
Starting point is 00:01:54 shilling all the time for Joe Biden. Lying? I should say, she was actually relatively good I mean, KJP, whole other story. She didn't get a gig over at MSNBC. No, no, no, no, KJP. She's now the PR person for the gay parade in New York. Seriously, that's her, that's the new gig. They just announced it today. I buried the lead, no, just kidding.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Anyway, so that's her gig. Jen Saki, on the other hand, came out and said, there's obviously the one that has a lead-up show to none other than Rachel Mac. She said on some little podcast called The Grill Room, I'm not familiar with it, there's obviously a rooted value in the kind of that MSNBC viewers expect of like we're going to talk about the opposition and we're going to talk about what the opposing party is up to in terms of the Democrats and we're going to talk about future leaders and things.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Wow, she sounds almost as smart as Kamala. And then she went on to say here in this little excerpt that, and we're also going to talk about Trump and it's typically not going to be positive. I know it doesn't seem earth-shattering because you know that, I know that, but I think it's important that everybody else know that, that their own hosts are admitting that they're not going to say anything good about Donald Trump, they're never going to actually report anything that might be positive in any way, shape, or form because guess what, it doesn't matter to their viewers and this is a business after all. Look, I know that, you know that. You may not agree
Starting point is 00:03:30 with me all the time here on this program, but I always try and present everything to you. I mean, why else do you think we spend so much time listening to these libs half the time? I realize I destroy them, but, but you've got to know what's out there, right? They don't even want to know what's out there. They don't even want to put any Republicans on television, period, and they certainly don't want to say anything positive about one Donald Trump. No, because that might actually be news, and they're not a news program. She says, and I quote again, and we're also going to talk about Trump, and it's typically not going to be positive.
Starting point is 00:04:05 I don't think anybody watching expects it to be positive, right? So, okay, now she thinks her viewers are dumb. That's interesting. She thinks anybody who is watching MSNBC is a dummy. And who am I to judge? There's not like a North Star thing written on a card, and everybody does it slightly differently. But I think that's fairly the vibe. In other words, if you want to get a gig there,
Starting point is 00:04:31 you get to kind of buy into their agenda and their agenda only, which means you are going to be totally biased, which means you are not going to be presenting the truth in any way, shape, or form. And then, you know, this same woman, it's sort of amazing to me who tried to sell you a whole bunch of, you know what, out of the White House every day when she originally was shilling for Biden. She's now going out there and saying, how dare you get your news anywhere else other than legacy media, which she considers herself to be
Starting point is 00:04:59 part of, I guess. Here she is speaking on a podcast saying, it's so sad. Like people are getting their news from X and, you know, maybe we need consequences for these people. We do need consequences. How dare you be putting any news on X or gosh, darn it? What if you're actually listening here on YouTube as we stream live and we interpret the news in real time? We're going to be in trouble too? I got started in Democratic politics. You know, most of it was like local TV ads. That was what it was about. Obviously, national TV, local print.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Local TV is held to a higher standard of accountability than social media platforms in terms of having accurate information on their platforms. That is crazy. And so it is how does it change? How is it, how are people held to account? Laws have to change. Hmm. Laws have to change.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Okay, so now we're going to actually change the laws so that you can't voice your opinion, or if you believe something to be true, you can't actually say it. Gosh, if we could change the laws, then maybe we could go back in time and we could actually go after you guys for having fed us a bunch of garbage. What about the 51X spooks? Oh, the Hunter Biden laptop investigation. That's not real. That's just Russian misinformation fed you courtesy of Rudy Giuliani and those big bad Republicans.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Uh-huh. Well, you know, that was a lie. You guys knew it was a lie. None of it ever made any sense. By the way, the whole Russia, Russia, Russia thing that they were broadcasting morning, noon, night there on MSNBC. That never made any sense. So there's no truth in this platform. And yet these same people want to go after anybody else. You know, there should be laws against allowing people like Tishrigan to be communicating with all of you. I mean, really and truly, it's just pathetic. But this is why I get back to Comcast does not want MSNBC. From a business perspective, I mean, why would you want the liability? Why would you want a network that is going to traffic in lies nonstop, thereby exposing you to all kinds of lawsuits, various liabilities, etc.? oh, you know, maybe it doesn't help that the Trump FCC is actually taking its job seriously and is actually investigating policies at NBC, for example, rooted in DEI and trying to figure out
Starting point is 00:07:37 at NBC, at CBS, at ABC, just exactly how much in violation of the Constitution some of those policies may have been. So this is all falling under the jurisdiction, if you would, of the FCC. And this is freaking them out. Totally, totally, totally, totally freaking them out. So she's all, you know, she's sitting there trying to say, you know, we are the best, the legacy media, we are the ones, you know, don't get your news on Twitter, don't get to anywhere else.
Starting point is 00:08:10 You can't do that on X. Forgive me. And yet, you know, she admits that she has this massive, massive bias, where she's never actually going to tell you anything that could possibly be positive on our now president, because, that wouldn't be in keeping with the vibe of the network. You know, I guess it wasn't in keeping with the vibe of the White House during the Biden presidency when Pepper and Patty would get up there and lie every day. Remember when inflation was topping 9% and she told you not to worry about anything?
Starting point is 00:08:40 Hey, when she was asked about what about the cost of turkey this Thanksgiving because it's like the highest that people have ever seen ever? And she's like, oh, don't worry about it. It's really just up a little. It's, you know, this 9% inflation you people are all worried about. That's not true. I mean, I actually heard them on MSNBC try and say during the election that the inflation issue was kind of a just a figure of your imagination. This is where these people are going. So just listen to her. Here she is. I think this is the Fox reporter asking her a question. What message does it send to the middle class Americans President Biden says that he's trying to help who are struggling this week to cover the cost of the most expensive Thanksgiving ever that the president is going to take a few days off at a billionaires compound in the United States.
Starting point is 00:09:23 talking. Well, first I would say, I don't know if you've cooked a turkey before, but a 20-pound turkey is a pretty big turkey. I think we can all agree. They're about $1 more. So not to minimize that, any increase in prices is something the President is concerned about, as is evidenced by his announcement today and as his efforts to push forward on additional relief for the American people. But I just want to be clear that there are abundance of turkeys available. They're about $1 more for a 20-pound bird, which is a huge bird, if you're feeding a very large bird. If you're feeding a big family? Hmm.
Starting point is 00:09:55 So in other words, don't worry about it. It's only a dollar more. I think the question was really just about inflation. But this woman is a heck of a liar. She really knows how to lie. It's actually kind of impressive. I will, I'll give her that. You know what? I'd be terrible at that job because I just couldn't actually lie when
Starting point is 00:10:11 sometimes they do need you to, quote unquote, spin, right? That's what they call it the spin room, because I just can't spin. I can only sort of see what's true and what should be reported. But, you know, remember who they are. They're the people that wanted you to believe
Starting point is 00:10:27 that this was the best Biden ever. I mean, hey, you listen to Joe Scarborough. It was the best Biden ever. He's ever seen his life. The Meek has ever seen in her life, for goodness sakes. The morning duo, husband and wife, trying to reassure America that Biden had it going on. When he didn't.
Starting point is 00:10:47 But comparing that guy's mental state, I've said it for years now. He's cogent. But I undersold him when I said he was cogent. He's far beyond cogent. In fact, I think he's better than he's ever been intellectually, analytically, because he's been around for 50 years. And, you know, I don't know if people know this or not.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Biden used to be a hothead. Sometimes that Irishman would get in front of the reasoning. Sometimes you would say things he didn't want to say. this is and and I don't really you know what I don't really start your tape right now because I'm about to tell you the truth and F you if you can't handle the truth this version of Biden intellectually analytically is the best Biden not a close second and I've known him for years the Prasinski's have known him for 50 years if it weren't the truth I wouldn't say it and you I mean that's good, right?
Starting point is 00:11:57 You go to admit, that is good. And we should play that more often because it reminds you of how they just lie through their teeth over there on MSNBC. And it reminds you of why Comcast does not want to have anything to do with this company. Because they know that they tell lies. They admit that they tell lies. Jen Saki just did right on this little podcast that nobody's going to actually report on except for perhaps yours truly because,
Starting point is 00:12:23 What? This is important to understand their bias. Sure, I've got a bias too. You know what my bias is? I want what's best for the American economy. I want what's best for the American stock market. I want what's best for American jobs. I want what's best for America's future. And that includes safety, security, and understanding that, yeah, borders really are a thing. So my biases are quite simple, ladies and gentlemen. Their biases? Wow, that's a whole other thing. I mean, maybe there's some USAID stuff involved in that. I don't know. I can't explain this. I can't explain why Politico is the one to have chosen, been chosen, I should say, to be the one to reveal that 51X spooks letter. Like, why did they put it there?
Starting point is 00:13:08 There are certain biases, if you would, at MSNBC, and this is going to make it beneficial for Comcast shareholders to be rid of the thing, right? Once and for all, you spin it off in Spinco, and guess what? You kill two birds. with one stone because now, you know the future streaming. You don't have to deal with this legacy boring, awful business anymore. I say boring. It's not going to make your money. It's not growing. And you get to keep your news division, NBC News. You get to keep your streaming division, which does have a future. And you can farm this off onto any poor shareholder that's, you know, dumb enough to buy the stuff. And granted, Comcast shareholders, I think, still get a portion of this.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Here's Lawrence O'Donnell. You know what? Last night, trying to talk about the stock market. You know what, Lawrence O'Donnell, just don't talk about the stock market like ever. You're not doing yourself, your network, any favors at all. Of course, stock market was up yesterday, up again, killing it. Rip-roar. And today, here's Larry. Of battle plans were not classified. There was a time when a Secretary of Defense getting caught, leaking sensitive information could have, among other things, rocked the stock market and sent it into a downward spiral. But the stock market, has no time to worry about an unqualified and incompetence secretary of defense who may or may not have stopped drinking
Starting point is 00:14:29 when Donald Trump is directly destroying the stock market in bursts of economic policy dementia that have created the most uncertainty the American economy has ever seen, and I mean ever seen, because the uncertainty is based entirely on what will one person's whims be tomorrow or the next. day or the next week or the next month or the next year. A year is the minimum planning horizon for economic planning and economic decisions in business or in our personal lives. After destroying the stock market with tariffs that are actually illegal because Donald Trump has imposed them in violation of laws that control the president's use of tariffs,
Starting point is 00:15:20 Donald Trump decided that now would be a good time to attack the chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, who became the chairman of the Federal Reserve when Donald Trump appointed him in Donald Trump's first term. President Biden then reappointed Jerome Powell. And on Monday, in the middle of the morning trading session on Wall Street, Donald Trump decided to attack Republican chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, in a social media post that left the stock market reeling under the expectation that Donald Trump was going to fire the chair of the Federal Reserve. Okay, he wasn't going to do that.
Starting point is 00:16:00 And basically he came out and said, look, I was never going to do them. I'm going to fire the head of the Federal Reserve. I realize it gets popular to talk about. It's certainly in vogue. And a lot of folks, you know, especially hard money, folks get a little frustrated sometimes with the Federal Reserve. I'm not the only one, by the way, who gets frustrated with the Fed. I want to play for you coming up what my friend Steve Moore had to say about what Jerome Powell said recently at the economic club of Chicago. But here's the reality.
Starting point is 00:16:25 One, Lawrence O'Donnell doesn't need to be talking about the stock market. You know what, let that be for your friends over at MSN, forgive me, CNBC, okay? CNBC can maybe do that with a little bit more authority, if you would. For Lawrence to be saying that, it's just sort of funny, given that he's like, oh, he's tanking the market. And you look at the market today. I mean, we are up what? Two and a half percent right now on the S&P, just just a tremendous stay, 2.6%. I stand corrected on the NASDAQ, 1.73% on the S&P. You get a Dow that's up 1%.
Starting point is 00:16:58 So this is on the heels of yesterday's phenomenal performance in the stock market. I just don't think that this is gonna fly. What I will tell you is that Comcast is done. Comcast doesn't want any part of this because they don't need these blowhards, frankly, for lack of a better term, going on and on, saying things that they know to be untrue. and trying to spin, spin, spin for an audience that doesn't exist.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Right? The audience doesn't exist. Leslie, great to see you. My friend Leslie Crimble here back in the chat. Wow, thank you for the generosity. Yes, 700,000. We are at 700,000, Leslie has been here. I got to tell you from when we were at like 100.
Starting point is 00:17:43 And I would do these little shows because I just started and, you know, look, we've been doing it maybe two years now every single day live. Leslie has been here from the beginning when we were like a hundred people and, you know, I was just sort of talking to myself here, but that, I was talking to Leslie. I was talking to all of you guys. But I think that this is a testament, if you would. And it's a great day to actually be leading with this when we just hit over 700,000 subs. This is no marketing.
Starting point is 00:18:12 This is no, like, outside push. This is just you and me. And I think that there is a hunger and a need for authenticity. in news and news opinion. Granted, I always have an opinion, but at least you're going to hear it all from me here, and you're going to at least see these different sides. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:18:29 If I didn't have an opinion, then why bother listening? I think it's actually important to have an opinion to tell people where your opinion is, but also you can't just actually print lies. And the problem that you're seeing at some of these liberal networks, and frankly, at some of these networks that consider themselves journalists with capital Js, is that they do print lies.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Look at what's going on at CBS, for example. and the executive producers resigning from 60 minutes because he feels that he can't really be authentic. And I say, okay, fine, you know what, fine. Go out and do your own thing and more power to you. At least you actually are resigning, unlike Georgie Poo over at ABC News, Stephanopoulos, who's staying in the seat, even though he's furious that his bosses paid $16 million to settle that slander suit, right? The libel suit when he called Trump some more. really horrible things, now President of the United States, live on air, even though he knew he
Starting point is 00:19:24 shouldn't, even though he knew it was wrong, and even though his producers had warned him. So at CBS, yes, they buttoned up Kamala Harris's answer, so she sounded like an intelligent person, which I guarantee you it was probably not that easy to do. Cudos to the editor and to the producer that had to deal with that sound. And somehow they think that that's totally normal. No, you know what? It's not normal, because you wouldn't have offered the same for one, President Trump. You wouldn't have afforded him the same opportunity. So you definitely had your biases and you pretended you didn't.
Starting point is 00:19:59 And I guess that's where I'm offended by it all. Like when you people try and pretend that you're actually the bomb and you're so not because you are incredibly biased in everything that you're doing, that is a huge problem. I want to get to the stock market because, you know, we're just talking about Lawrence O'Donnell complaining about the stock market not doing well and it's actually having a record day here. But before I do, you know what else has been doing really well? And I know it's lower today. Again, I actually bought a teeny bit today because when gold goes lower and I'm a long-term
Starting point is 00:20:26 holder, I find it to be one of those things that helps me sleep at night and even out my portfolio because when things get rocky and look, they've been rocky the last couple of weeks. I'm not going to deny that. That's when you want to make sure that you do have that diversified portfolio. And so hopefully you've put it in place before that you know what hits the fan, so to speak. So Trish loves gold. Go check them out.
Starting point is 00:20:46 You can get up to $15,000 in free silver. We love our sponsors here on the show. You can text Trish to 65532. Call them at 1844495. 1115. Our sponsors are a key to everything. They help make this all possible. And you guys are a key to everything.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Leslie, again, thank you for the generosity. We're looking at a stock market that is higher right now. Check this out. Huge day in markets, as I was saying, up 2.6% on the NASDAQ, up nearly 2% right now on the S&P. You're seeing the Dow trade up over 1%. And this is why? because there are hopes that we are going to get a trade deal, ladies and gentlemen, with China.
Starting point is 00:21:21 And you know what Donald Trump says, be aware, China, we'll get a deal with them, but be aware, China's not going to take advantage of the U.S. any longer. No, no, Surrey. They all want to be involved with America, and we have a lot of action going on. We're making a lot of money this country. This country is not going to be losing money on trade anymore. We were losing $2 trillion a year on trade, now we're going to be making money, a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:21:49 So it's very good. Every country wants to partake, even countries that have ripped us off for many, many years. China is an example, but it's not just China. European Union, they ripped us off for many, many years, and those days are over. We're going to make a lot of money for our people. We'll be able to lower taxes substantially, and we're going to be proud of ourselves. They're not going to be a laughing stock that got taken advantage of by virtually every country in the world. Yeah, like every country in the world.
Starting point is 00:22:19 So a lot of what Donald Trump has been getting at throughout these trade agreements is this idea that, you know what? You can't put tariffs on us when we don't put any tariffs on you. Like, what's fair is fair, right? And so he came out of the gate with a very aggressive plan, like very, very aggressive plan, so aggressive that a lot of people were like, wait a second. Why are their tariffs on Switzerland? Switzerland has zero on us. And they were looking at, you know, they had Peter Navarro in there, and he was looking at trade deficits,
Starting point is 00:22:48 and perhaps in some ways, conflating them with trade, with actual tariffs. And you kind of need to kind of look at both sides of the equation, let me just say. But here we are now actually getting to a very good place. And I think it's because of that enthusiasm and determination of this president of the United States combined with the savviness of his economic team, consider Treasury Secretary Scott Besson, and we're getting something done here. Here's Donald Trump talking about, you know what, China's going to get a fair deal.
Starting point is 00:23:18 It's not like we're trying to rob China, but we want fairness all around for every single one of us. Here we go. Clarify Mr. President on China. Are you thinking about lowering their tariffs? Fair deal with China. It's going to be fair. Are you talking to them actively now? Actively.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Everything's active. Everybody wants to be a part of what we're doing. They know that they can't get away with it any longer, but they're still going to do fine. And we're going to have a country that you can be proud of, not allowed. stock all over the world for many years. You know, in 1913, they traded to the income tax system. We used to be all tariff, and we had no income tax, or we had the wealthiest country we were proportionately
Starting point is 00:23:58 from about 1870 to 1913. It was all tariffs than we did. We had more money than anybody. They had committees how to spend the money. They had so much money they didn't know how to spend. Then some brilliant person said, let's go income tax. let's let the people pay. We're going to be able to substantially lower taxes when this is finished.
Starting point is 00:24:19 And, you know, that's what he wants to do. Don't forget, you know, those Trump tax cuts, they need to be able to continue them. You have a lot of people saying we're going to get rid of them all together because we can't afford it. And I think part of his methodology here is let's make sure that we get some trade deals in place so that we have a way to replace some of this income and then we can lower taxes. And hey, then we're off to the races, right? Anyway, I will tell you this, Powell, Powell, Chris,
Starting point is 00:24:43 Thank you for the generosity. Much appreciated. I get a kick out of it. We need to turn the chat green. Trish? Oh, you're so funny. Thank you so much. Yeah, we need to turn it green.
Starting point is 00:24:57 We're at 700K. So, hey, we've got more people coming in every day. Thank you for the generosity. Much appreciated it. We've got a Federal Reserve Chief that, for whatever reason, kind of went out over his skis in Chicago the other day. And I think this is actually what really scared the market. because he said a few things that actually put everything into disarray.
Starting point is 00:25:18 He basically communicated that he's in this political standoff with one Donald Trump, and because he doesn't like what's going on on tariffs, et cetera, he's not going to move on interest rates. And that was like, whoa, I said, like, we can't turn this into a showdown, right? You can't be Powell versus Trump. That's not going to work. In other words, he may not like what Donald Trump's doing, but he gets to zip it, keep it to himself, right?
Starting point is 00:25:41 Keep it to himself because he's not involved in that policy. policy aspect. He only needs to watch for whether or not, you know, we're seeing some weakness in employment numbers. He needs to watch for signs of inflation. And there are no signs of inflation. Thankfully, right now, we have seen some weakness in the economy in terms of some of the instant data that we're looking at. But he doesn't want to admit any of that instead said something quite different. My friend Steve Moore, who was an economic advisor, was an economic advisor to President Trump. He spoke with CNN about this. And he said, look, you know, Paul was out of line. I read you the note that Steve had sent me saying that this was unacceptable
Starting point is 00:26:21 and that he basically could be fired for cause because it was outrageous to see that from a Fed Chief. I'll let Steve explain it. These other stores. With respect to Jerome Powell, I would say that we were all outraged. That is, those who favor Trump, by the speech that was given by Jerome Powell last week. It was really, I've been following this for 40 years. I thought it was the most outrageous partisan attack against the new president that I've ever seen. And I think it was out of bounds. And it didn't take into account all the positive things that Trump are doing on the economy.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Now, that being said, and people like myself were saying, you know, Jerome Powell has to go. But the markets clearly don't want Jerome Powell out. They don't want him out right now. And Stephen, I just want to be clear, Jerome Powell was reflecting what a lot of just economists are saying. So if what you're looking for is just straight shooting, from Jerome Powell, that really did seem to be what it was. Separally, I want to ask you about the Treasury Secretary, Bessent, saying, he said, hold on, hold on, let me make a point about this.
Starting point is 00:27:23 Okay, that's a fair point. You know, a lot of the economists and a lot of the businesses were saying, you know, these policies were harmful. But my God, I mean, Joe Biden came in and spent $5 trillion, sent inflation up to, you know, 25% increase in prices. Jerome Powell never made that kind of speech against the, in fact, he accommodated Biden's policies. So I think that's something that really.
Starting point is 00:27:43 angered us. I mean, you, I challenge you to find anything that Jerome Powell ever said, criticizing Biden's reckless policies. I think you heard. He is totally, oh, she doesn't want to hear that. Suddenly, she's defending Jerome Powell. By the way, Trump picked Jerome Powell. He did. And you know what's incredible? There were moments when he could have lowered interest rates. I tend to be sort of of the view that you shouldn't mess with interest rates too much. I don't like how the Fed gets like overly aggressive with printing. Always too late, by the way. They're like, always too late in however they approach this, and they always do too much. And so I'm always frustrated, right? I'm like, what are you doing, Jerry? Like, what's going on? Why are you printing
Starting point is 00:28:20 now? We needed your help like six months ago. So Donald Trump's not wrong. In other words, we might need the help right now. So why does Jerry go out there and say, like, I get no intention of helping because I just don't like these policies and these policies are bad for the markets, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, he never did that with Biden for sure. And look, those policies were bad for inflation. Come on. I mean, you have the trend. triple trifecta effect of Jerome Powell's printing, combined with Nancy and Chuck's version of printing, trillions of dollars in stimulus, combined with Joe Biden's sign and a third stimulus check for goodness sakes. Yeah, you know, that's where the markets were getting kind of even
Starting point is 00:29:02 frothy, dare we say. Things are getting a little bit better. Remember, we have some thoughts for you on how to invest amid all this volatility. My company, 76 research. I started go use code dollar so you can some more information there as we watch this market recover right now pretty important stuff hopefully we can help you through some of this scott besant meanwhile taken to the international stage at the iMF and boom knocking it out of the park this is the best i have seen scott okay he's treasury secretary he's not a professional tv personality and he you know it sometimes comes across he's not the big sort of whatever that you would get from the tv side of things but what he says matters He is an extremely smart person.
Starting point is 00:29:45 He understands how to do these deals. And here he sent China a message at the IMF. Think about it. China's economy is just as large as ours nearly. I won't. Not quite. But they're around 18, 19 trillion, right? We're somewhere around 27.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Maybe I have that number. I'm going to double check it while we listen to Scott. But Scott had a very direct and important message for China and the IMF to hear today. I want to play it for you. Here in the United States, we know we need to get our fiscal house in order. The last administration ran up the largest peacetime deficit in our nation's history. The current administration is committed to fixing this. We are open to critique, but we will not abide the IMF failing to critique the countries that most need it.
Starting point is 00:30:38 Principally, surplus countries. in line with its core mandate, the IMF needs to call out countries like China that have pursued globally distorted policies and opaque currency practices for many decades. I also expect the IMF to call out unsustainable lending practices by certain creditor countries. Mm-hmm, exactly.
Starting point is 00:31:03 By certain creditor countries. He does mean China. Okay, so China, you know, has some funny things that it does. I do want to point out my numbers were, I think, a year or two old. 2025 numbers. U.S. is looking to have GDP of roughly around $30 trillion versus China coming in at almost $20 trillion. So that's far larger. That's like five times larger than the third largest economy in the world, which belongs to Germany at nearly $5 trillion. So yes, we are by far the largest. It's why we matter. It's why we have this kind of weight and sway, if you would,
Starting point is 00:31:42 on the international stage when it comes to these trade deals. But China's like a big boy now, and they need to put on their big boy pants, because guess what? You can't get away with all that emerging market developing nation stuff anymore, China. You've actually become the second largest economy in the world. So you've got to play by the rules. Thank you very much. And Besson, making it clear. Watch. going forward the bank must set firm graduation timelines for countries that have long since met the graduation criteria treating China the second largest country in the world as a developing country is absurd thank you it is absurd totally absurd in other words you know i remember oh gosh i did this story
Starting point is 00:32:33 like, might have been at Fox a number of years ago and they had this like ozone hole layer thing going on and everybody was worked up, you know, because we have to watch out for the ozone layer and I get it. Whatever. There was this one little area in China that wasn't doing anything to watch out for the ozone layer. And the excuse is, oh, well, you know, we're a developing nation, we're developing nation. Maybe we get to run coal plants and this, that, and the other because we're developing nation, we're developing nation. Well, I think you guys are pretty developed. And you're the second large economy in the world. Congrats to you.
Starting point is 00:33:06 But that means it's time to shore things up. And the currency manipulation, which they are the masters of. Look, I know we print too, everybody prints, whatever. But they are really and truly the masters of currency manipulation and intellectual property theft. You name it. They have put us at a disadvantage. And I think the time has come when all that needs to change. change and it is changing and that's good news.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Not such good news. Here we go for Klaus Schwab. This is unbelievable. Did you guys see this story? He's accused of, well, I don't know. Like, when you're talking about massages for goodness sakes, I was like, wait, what is he accused of? It was misappropriating funds and he resigned from the World Economic Forum.
Starting point is 00:33:54 You know, they have the big shindig in Switzerland, Davos, Switzerland every year where they like set the whole agenda and they were really, really into climate change, et cetera. Oh, and oh, you know, we have to give developing nations a pass. Well, Klaus Schwab is now being accused of some kind of sketchy stuff. Now, in fairness to Klaus, these are apparently anonymous accusations. There was an anonymous sort of whistleblower account that was sent to the W.E.F. Suggesting that he did some funny stuff with the books, shall we say, and was running this as like a personal piggy bank.
Starting point is 00:34:30 But like I said, when you get to massages, man, oh man, like, you know, so this letter, again, it's anonymous, but they're investigating it, and he resigned as a result of it, is alleging that Klaus Schwab as junior employees to withdraw thousands of dollars from ATMs on his behalf. Well, that's weird, right? Like, who's running around? You know, they're all upset about Christy Knoam and her $3,000 that she had in her handbag that got stolen, which totally, you know, totally another story that we should cover.
Starting point is 00:35:03 I'm wondering about that one, because how the heck do you have your whole security team there? You're out in a social environment and the whole, like, detail for the security, the secret services around you, and somehow somebody makes off with your purse. It's a little weird, just saying. So they're all worked up about her $3,000 that she was apparently given up to her family for Easter presents. And I would just say, you're running the Davos-Switzerland operation. like what are you doing getting cash out of ATMs from your employees? I mean, wow. Okay, so there's that.
Starting point is 00:35:34 And then allegedly he used forum funds to pay for private in-room massages at hotels. Wow. It's also alleged his wife, Hilda, a former forum employee, scheduled token forum-funded meetings in order to justify luxury holiday travel at the Orchurch. organization's expense. So yeah, he's in a little bit of trouble right now. The letter was sent anonymously last week to the forum's board and raised concerns about the forum's governance and workplace culture, including allegations that the Schwab family mixed their personal affairs. Yeah, like alleged massages with the forum's resources without the proper oversight,
Starting point is 00:36:22 according to the letter, and according to people that are familiar with the matter. So this was reported as an exclusive in the Wall Street Journal. And now Klaus is under investigation, even though he left, because what was he doing with all that cash and all those massages, right? This is probably not going to end well. I'm just saying for Klaus. But here's another thing. We've just been talking about China, and China has to put his big boy pants on. China has to, like, step up and become a developed country now because it's the second largest economy in the world.
Starting point is 00:36:55 But, you know, we don't really like the way China does business. That's very clear, right? That's partly why we're dealing with these trade negotiations right now. We don't like the way they do business. This is a communist nation that runs some kind of capitalist enterprise. That is not a formula that we want to replicate on any kind of global scale. But don't tell Klaus that. So when Klaus sat down with Chinese television, communist television, he sat there and like flattered them to death.
Starting point is 00:37:25 somehow that we needed to create the China model for the rest of the world. Are you kidding me? So we have to define how the world should look like which we want to come out of this transformation period. I respect China's achievements which are tremendous over the last over 40 years. I think it's a role model for many countries. for many countries, but I think also we should leave it to each country to make its own decision what system it wants to adapt. And I think we should be very careful in imposing systems. But the Chinese model is certainly a very attractive model for quite a number of countries.
Starting point is 00:38:20 An attractive model, a role model for other countries. What was that about? Was he trying to have his cake and eat it too? Was he trying to flatter China while simultaneously saying something else? I don't know. I'm going to take it at face value. You think that China's a role model
Starting point is 00:38:34 for the rest of the world? I don't think so. I'm still not over the fact that the other day Donald Trump announces these tariffs and China's like, oh, you know, we're coming back with this, that and the other and it gets kind of testy. And what does Europe do?
Starting point is 00:38:47 First chance it gets. It says, oh, we can have a Europe-China-Green summit. They're going to have their Europe, China, green economics summit. It just kind of reminds me a little bit of Klaus there, right? Because he's clearly in love with China or was at that very moment. And I just thought it was a little peculiar that you had the Europeans no sooner than we announced our initiation into these new trade agreements. And, you know, China's upset.
Starting point is 00:39:21 And they're like, oh, don't worry, China. We can do all this green stuff together. Yeah, that's going to go well. You guys work on that. Good luck with that. Look, China's coming around, okay? China's coming around, and that's a good thing. As for the WEF, honestly, I don't really know.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Because the new guy doesn't necessarily seem to be all that much better, dare I say. So this guy used to run Nestle. He's now the interim replacement, if you would, for Klaus. and he's got some interesting views on water. Kid you not, let's watch. Hello, I'm Peter Prabeck, the chairman of Nestle. There are apparently some misconceptions about my ideas on water. Let me make it clear from the beginning.
Starting point is 00:40:09 I have always supported the human right to water. Everyone should have enough clean, safe water to meet their fundamental daily needs. about 50 to 100 liters per day, but not to fill a pool or wash a car. There is a difference. We must transform the way we think about water. By 2025. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Did I hear what I think I heard? You can't have a pool? You can't... Excuse me? Now maybe I'm misinterpreting it. Maybe he just means everybody deserves a certain amount of water, and it's your business if you're going to fill a pool or wash a car. Let's listen to it again.
Starting point is 00:41:00 But not to fill a pool or wash a car. Okay. Again. About 50 to 100 liters per day. But not to fill a pool or wash a car. There is a difference. We must transform the way we think about. water. By 2025, 1.8 billion people will be living in regions without enough water. Water scarcity is the greatest challenge we face today. And we need to start recognizing water as a precious resource.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Meaning, you can't fill your pool. You can't wash a car? I don't know. I want to think that I've taken him out of context. I really do guys. But I also know it's the W. EF. And they have their own history of, you know what, with all this climate stuff, and it's Europe after all. But you know what? Today's a great day. Today's a great day because we've got the markets on a tear. And that's a really good thing. Just closing out the day, higher, higher, higher. I like seeing that. It's good news for the Trump administration. It's good news for all of us here at home, right? Because you can look at your retirement or your 401k and feel a little bit better. right now. That's all a positive thing. Now, if you've been worried throughout the whole thing,
Starting point is 00:42:27 you know, one of our show sponsors here on this program, by the way, I encourage you to go to 76 Research.com, one of our show sponsors is none of them the gold company, American Heart for Gold. You know I love gold. You know I still buy it even when it's lower. This has been, you know, in my view, an opportunity to the last two days. But again, I use it as a way to hedge everything else because, you know, when the you know what goes, you know what, you really actually want to have the diversification of a good, strong portfolio, including things like gold. You can do this too. Just go to trishelofsgold.com.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Text Trish to 65532. You can get up to $15,000 in free silver. 1-844-495-1-1-1-5. Another fantastic sponsor here on the show, and guess what? I've been getting better, right? Haven't I? My voice has sounded a little bit better. I've had since I was a little kid, like I get this dry cough that follows any kind of cold,
Starting point is 00:43:20 which, you know, can make it tough in this business, but I always say, at least I'm not singing, right? As an opera singer that's really, really an impediment to one's job. But balance of nature has kept me actually really, really healthy this year, because normally I get like five colds because I have all these kids. And normally it's much worse, but this year I only got one cold and I'm out of the woods. And I actually credit taking my daily vitamin and getting my vitamin D. So balance of nature.com is one of the great sponsors of the Trish Rican show, helping me to bring you this vehicle every day for free. If you're thinking about maybe up in your own vitamin D or just
Starting point is 00:43:58 getting a daily vitamin, I highly, highly, highly recommend them. I take the fruits and veggies myself. And they have lots of other different things on their website. You can get 35% off with code word Trish. If you go to balance of nature.com today, go to balance of nature.com. Use my name, code word Trish. Read everything that people have. say because it really, you know, I know Leslie, I'm looking at, you know, the chat right now and thanking her again for her generosity. Leslie has actually said that she's been taking this stuff. So there you go. There's a testimonial besides myself. Oh, my kid's music teacher who likes it as well. So MSNBC, we were talking about them in the beginning of the show and just how insanely bias, right,
Starting point is 00:44:38 they are and we know that. Well, they had a guest on this morning who happens to be the Massachusetts governor actually grew up in the same town as yours truly in live for. or die, New Hampshire. Clearly the live-free or die rhetoric did not resonate with this woman because she's down there in Massachusetts and she's very, very, very liberal, so liberal that now she's complaining because everybody is leaving the state of Massachusetts, she says. Everyone is leaving the country. Part of the reason they had her on was because of what's going down at Harvard University. You'll recall, of course, Donald Trump putting a stop order on the $9 billion of US taxpayer funding that one Harvard University gets, it's estimated between two and nine billion,
Starting point is 00:45:20 I should say. Anyway, Harvard, because they have not promised to get rid of DEI, they have not promised to protect students against anti-Semitism on campus, is now in the crossfire here, or the crosshairs of this administration. And so the administration is saying, guess what, we don't need to give you this money. And by the way, this just broke, actually moments ago. Donald Trump's administration is not only saying we don't need to give you any money, but we actually can take this a step further and remove your accreditation. So you will no longer be an accredited school, thereby not allowing students to have access to save federal funding, Perkins loans, et cetera, that they might be able to use or loans in general, right, that the
Starting point is 00:46:05 government provides to go to these schools. So this is turning into a big uproar. I think it's kind of fair of him to say, look, I want to make sure that you can enforce the Constitution and make sure that there's no anti-Semitism on campus. I want to make sure that you're enforcing the Constitution and being fair and equitable to all students. But the governor, Massachusetts, feels a little differently. Let's listen to her and we can talk about it. Well, this is bigger than Harvard, and I stand with Harvard. I support what they are doing. It is very, very important that Harvard file that suit and stand up to the bully that Trump is. But let me tell you how it's playing out because it's not just at Harvard.
Starting point is 00:46:47 It's attacks on colleges and universities, on research institutions across Massachusetts, across this country. And here are the consequences right now. So already, I was on the campus of UMass medical just last week. Because of Donald Trump's cuts, they've had to lay off 200 faculty members. I've had to rescind offers to 80 graduate students. These are scientists, okay? These are people who are discovering and working on life-saving cures for cancer, Alzheimer's, ALS, you name it. And all of that is being shut down.
Starting point is 00:47:24 Here's what else who is happening, which Americans need to know. The ones benefiting from Donald Trump's misguided attacks on our universities and on research are benefiting China. China is recruiting right now on our campuses. all those scientists and faculty members and students who've been laid off or had their it offers rescinded and say come to china we'll build you that lab we'll give you staff so for president who is about america first he's making america last he's making us weaker he's making us less competitive and it breaks my heart it breaks my heart to know that patients will will suffer they're already suffering meika because we've had clinical trials shut down as a result of his dismantling of ends NIH funding, and that's compounded now by his effort to attack universities and compounded by the attacks on our foreign students, right? He's scaring for a guy who wants to re-shore American talent, right?
Starting point is 00:48:24 I mean, he is driving everyone, including American students and faculty members, out of this country because they want to be able to do their research somewhere. So this is a very dangerous situation, totally, totally destabilizing. and it's really pointing America in the wrong direction. Okay. Is everyone really leaving the country, or is that just Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:51 I'm going to get to that in a second because we have a few things to say about them. But here's the thing. She's just going on, okay, he's getting everybody out of the country. Like, this is a big, big problem. I actually think that what is happening is a, fundamental shift. Think about the liberalism in academia, if you would. Like, you couldn't actually be a conservative and had of any kind of real role there at Harvard University. I mean, that is the
Starting point is 00:49:18 real, you're not going to make tenure. You think you're going to make tenure as a professor. If you actually, oh, I don't know, believe in capitalism, dare I say, you know, you have all of these people that think alike and that want to be able to use the law to take down Donald Trump, to take down conservatives, to take down speech. except when it behooves them, right? Then they flip it around and suddenly, okay, now, you know, this is all about First Amendment. No, you don't have a First Amendment right to discriminate against kids with the anti-Semitic behavior that we have seen on these college campuses to make them not feel safe, not feel safe.
Starting point is 00:49:53 And by the way, don't take my word for it. Look what they had to do at Columbia University last spring. They had to shut down classes. Look what they had to do with Columbia's graduation. They had to kill the graduation. Why? Because nobody was safe. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:50:05 You've lost me at that point, okay? Like, people deserve the right to be able to go to an academic place, exchange ideas freely, and that's not being allowed. It's not being allowed. So Donald Trump's like, you know what, I'm going to put my foot down. We're going to change this, and we're not going to have this kind of insane liberalism that is not beneficial to our country at all, nor beneficial to this generation of students. We got to get rid of it.
Starting point is 00:50:30 So take it or leave it. I'm sorry, like this is the new world order. This is what you guys were afraid about. I'm sorry because we actually want to put America first. You're worried that everybody's leaving the country? I don't think so. I think it's just Ellen and Rosie, okay? Fine.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Good riddance. Ellen and Rosie. Rosie O'Donnell sharing new details of her life going on, I guess, CNN, to talk about how wonderful life is overseas. By the way, I guarantee it probably is. I mean, Ireland is a fantastic, fabulous place. They have one of the highest per capita incomes in the entire world, higher than the US, actually. And everybody's super duper nice.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Like, it's one of the most chill places I've ever been. I spend a lot of time there. I have family there. I think it's fantastic, okay? So I'm happy, Rosie, that you are happy in Ireland. That is great. Most people would be happy in Ireland. It was a very happy, very nice place.
Starting point is 00:51:30 But what's interesting about it is that this is all so politically motivated, right? So here she is going on to CNN doing a little interview. I'll show you an excerpt, and then we'll talk about what she had to say about none other than one Ellen DeGeneres who also left. In her case, it was actually for the UK, not for Ireland. Let's watch. Of battle plans were not classified. Actually, oopsie. That was poor Larry.
Starting point is 00:52:01 Lawrence O'Donling, you don't want to hear him anymore, right? trying to tell us that the market was just going to be a mess. You see, I got my O'Donnells confused. We Irish. Apparently, we're all over the media. Anyway, here she is talking about how she moved to Ireland. It was the greatest thing in the world, you know, because now she's, what, away from Trump? I would just say, like, this is not, this is not cool.
Starting point is 00:52:23 This is just not cool because she's politicized it so much. Here we go. I have no regrets. Not a day has gone by that I thought it was the wrong decision. I was welcomed with open arms. I knew after reading Project 2025 that if Trump got in, it was time for me and my non-binary child to leave the country. And although I was not one of the celebrities who announced that that's what I would do, I made the decision within my family and my therapist, and should he win?
Starting point is 00:52:54 And then when he did, we made the plan into action, and we were gone before he was inaugurated. I'm glad the therapist was involved. Apparently, she just couldn't emotionally handle it if Donald Trump were president, which he now is. I mean, the scary thing about this, you guys, is that she's not the only one, right? There are a lot of people that emotionally can't handle it. I mean, 2016, it blew me away. All the divorces that were happening because of Trump, I mean, come on. Like, that's when you know the media has taken it too far.
Starting point is 00:53:29 That's when you know perhaps you're consuming a little too much of it. you know, you're consuming what Jen Saki told us, as we talked about in the beginning of the show, knows to not entirely be truthful, but only a particular bias and viewpoint. And so because you're only hearing that from MSNBC or even CNN or the New York Times or what have you, you are being spoon-fed one version of the quote-unquote truth. It's actually not the truth because you can't just sit there and say, like MSNBC tried to, oh, there's no inflation under Joe Biden when prices are up 9%. And cumulatively, they're up even higher, right?
Starting point is 00:54:08 They actually gaslit America to death with that stuff. And so I think conservatives are like looking at it going, huh, yeah, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Liberals, on the other hand, liberals were freaking out to the point where now you have some, like Ellen and Rosie, leaving the country. So she also talked about Ellen, and Ellen DeGeneres' move to leave the country. And this I found kind of interesting, if you would, because she's saying that she's sort of surprised by that. So I'm going to quote here from the New York Post who writes,
Starting point is 00:54:43 Last month O'Donnell revealed that she and her child were in the process of obtaining their Irish citizenship following their transatlantic move. So that's the thinking, right? She's going to move perhaps permanently? I don't know. Is she going to give up her U.S. citizenship? I doubt it. Anyway, her move followed closely that of fellow comedian Ellen DeGeneres who set up camp permanently in the cost walls in England with her wife, Portia de Rossi. It's kind of interesting.
Starting point is 00:55:14 You know, the UK court came out just the other day and actually ruled that a woman, for the sake of the law, is somebody who was born biologically a woman. Oh yeah, that's the UK court. So, you know, good luck with all that, Ellen. So she moved over there with Portia. While O'Donnell, it says, hasn't been in touch with the former talk show host, she admitted she was shocked to learn degenerous and the arrested development actress ditched Hollywood. Quote, I've never really known Ellen to say anything political in her life, so I was surprised to read that and that she left because of President Trump.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Like, that shocked me, actually. Really? Do you think it was because of President Trump? Or do you think it was because of all that ditty stuff? Remember, we've talked about that. We should probably link to one of those ditty videos, but she was quite tight with one ditty, and so tight that she called him something big stuffings on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:56:12 She went to some of those parties, and there are allegations out there, reports or rumors that maybe she knows a little bit more than she should, and maybe that's why she had to get out. Sky News, I think, or the Australian version of it, did some little bit on it, where they kind of questioned why it was that when Ellen's generous was actually leaving the country and whether or not that was more related to Sean Diddy Combs as opposed to, well, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:42 actually Donald Trump. I mean, I'm sure she doesn't have any use for Donald Trump too, but it's a little bizarre, right? Like it's a little bit bizarre this, I'm going to up and leave because of it. With, you know, with Rosie, you don't necessarily doubt it. Ellen did sell her house for some $96 million. Let's see if I can show you this one. Wow. So the pad of Portia, DeRosie, and Ellen DeGeneres, looks like quite a place there out in California.
Starting point is 00:57:12 That went for $96 million. So, you know, I wonder if she had to pay half in taxes. You know, when you leave the country, it's kind of like you can check in, but you can't check out. Maybe they ought to remind the migrants of that. you actually have to pay half of your net worth in a big giant tax pool because they want to make sure that, you know, you're not taken off from Malta or the Cayman Islands, basically. And, you know, there's a penalty involved. So they went and they sold all their assets, assuming, you know, I assume maybe they actually had to pay up in taxes. If not, maybe the IRS will still come find them.
Starting point is 00:57:50 But the question was, why did she do this? It was a little bit bizarre. and was it really and truly entirely political. I'm not so sure about that. And again, these broadcasters here over on something called, is it Sky News? It's the Australian version of this. I'm wondering if I can play it for you.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Let's take a listen. They're losing their minds. She sounded so sincere, didn't she? Very sincere. Virtually choke on her words. But the best one for me is Ellen DeGeneres, who is, by the way, a very nasty person. I've had dealings with her in Australia.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Oh, a bit of nice. Could I tell you some stories about that cow? But anyway, good riddance to her. But, you know, she was quite friendly with that P-Ddy bloke, wasn't she? Well, this is why I say, release the Diddy File. Yeah. So, you know. Come on, Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:58:38 We want to know whose name. So maybe she's hightailing out of there before all that is thrown at her as well. But what a bunch of hypocrites. I wonder if that's... I don't know. I don't know. Do you guys have a view on? it. I mean, it's kind of peculiar, but look, the Massachusetts governor is worried Donald Trump
Starting point is 00:58:58 is driving everyone out. I would say, you know, calm down for now. It only seems to be the loss of Rosie and Ellen, and I think we can withstand that. Right? Right? Michelle Obama is out with a little bit of news. She's finally revealing why she was MIA at Donald Trump's inauguration. Yeah, so she's got this little podcast that's just failing, miserable. and I mean miserably in the ratings for sure. And by the way, we're at 700,000. So we're celebrating here on YouTube. Awesome news.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Thank you guys for everything you do to make this a success. But I'm pretty sure that we're doing better than her. Well, I'm no Michelle Obama. Hopefully I'm a heck of a lot better. But anyway, she's got this podcast with a lot of marketing dollars behind her. And so now she's doing this whole thing about why she skipped the Trump inauguration. and, well, let's just say the punchline is pretty despicable. Like really despicable. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Keep pushing and keep striving. And so practicing no in a very different way intentionally. But then this is what makes it hard because, you know, my decision to skip the inauguration, you know, what people don't realize, or my decision to make choices at the beginning of this year that suited me were met with such ridicule and criticism. People couldn't believe that I was saying no for any other reason that they had to assume that my marriage was falling apart. It's like, while I'm here really trying to own my life
Starting point is 01:00:40 and intentionally practice making the choice that was right for me. And it took everything in my power to not do the thing that was right or that was perceived as right, but do the thing that was right for me. That was a hard thing for me to do. I had to basically trick myself out of it, and it started with not having anything to wear. I mean, I had affirmatively, because I'm always prepared for any funeral, anything. I walk around with the right dress. I travel with clothes just in case something pops off.
Starting point is 01:01:18 So I was like, if I'm not going to do this thing, I got to tell my team, I don't even want to have a dress ready, right? Because it's so easy to just say, let me do the right thing. But then you become a shock absorber. Yeah. And that's what women are, the shock absorbers. And that's exhausting. And it's not healthy.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Yeah. It is not healthy. You've had to be shock absorbers for your husband, for your children, for your mom, for your family, your loved ones, because of where you were sitting. the public eye. That's not fair to you. When do you ever get to live for you? I applaud you. I am, I'm happy that you are taking care of yourself in the way that you need to. Yeah. Okay. So, you know, the headline being she didn't have anything to wear. I guess that's the idea here. That's why she skipped the Trump inauguration. She just didn't have anything to wear.
Starting point is 01:02:17 That's what she finally, she didn't want to do it. That's the point of this. right, like she did not want to do her, quote-unquote, duty. As the former first lady for eight years, I'm sorry, Michelle Obama, you own a place in history, whether you like it or not, whether we like it or not. You know what, honey, you're there. And as a result of that, you need to actually step up to the plate and do the right thing now and then. Which means you should have been at Jimmy Carter's funeral too, for goodness sakes. And you shouldn't get so partisan as to say you're not going to show up at an inauguration.
Starting point is 01:02:54 For the 45th president of the United States, I mean, wow, right? Wow. There's something really fundamentally wrong with somebody thinking that they can turn off all responsibility. That's what she is. I heard years ago from an agent that was at William Morris. She was coming in for some meeting. And this was like really a long time ago. This is probably before she left the White House.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Actually, it was way, way, way before that, way before that because she was still in the White House. Maybe he was running for a second term. I'm just trying to put the numbers in order in my head. And I had heard from an agent there that she had come in to meet with them at William Morris. And the upshot of it was they learned she did not want to work very hard. And that kind of told me a lot. way back when. So I was sort of surprised, you know, she got this podcast. She doesn't think you're going to work very hard. I guess not. They just, you know, shoot the, you know why. They talk about
Starting point is 01:04:04 living this moral high ground. They're on the Michelle Obama show. She brings in her friends. There's no real production or thought about anything really. And she's certainly not trying to encourage people to take responsibility for themselves or their families or, I don't know, the country, history, the fact that you were there. She doesn't care about that. She lazy? I don't know. That was the wrap on her back at the agency.
Starting point is 01:04:34 She was lazy. She was lazy and she didn't want to do stuff so they couldn't really find her a gig. Maybe they could get her a book, right? Because somebody else could write it. She didn't want to have to do much. Clearly, she still does not want to have to do much. She didn't want to show up for Jimmy's funeral.
Starting point is 01:04:52 I'm sorry, he's like kind of, you know, the Messiah of the Democrat Party, for goodness sakes. That was one you kind of needed to go to, and nor did she want to show up for part of history, despite the fact that she's part of it for eight years for the inauguration of one President Trump. It's just wrong. Michelle Obama is not doing her measly little 2,000 viewers over there on that show.
Starting point is 01:05:17 I mean, you're going to see, you know, she doesn't count you guys as a viewer, I'm guessing. But her fans that are watching this show, she's not doing them any favors. Because the message should be, you know what? Sometimes you've got to suck it up. And you've got to do crap that you do not want to do. You know why? Because you owe it to your family. You owe it to society.
Starting point is 01:05:43 You owe it to the country. It's not all about you, Michelle. It's really not. Sometimes it's bigger than you. Jimmy Carter, I mean, she didn't show up for that one. I actually thought, gosh, maybe she's sick. Like, you know, let me give her the benefit of the doubt. The poor woman may have an illness.
Starting point is 01:06:07 And then my next conclusion, when I found out she was perfectly fine and healthy, was, well, the marriage has to be an absolute mess. And she's here saying, how dare you make that assumption about me? What do you think we're going to say, Michelle, what do you think? Other than you're lazy, you're all about you, or your marriage is broken. I mean, I guess you're just lazy and it's all about you. That's what we've learned from this little episode
Starting point is 01:06:35 that she, quote, unquote, did not have a dress to wear to. Honestly, I mean, it's a scary world in which we live, in which, you know, this woman, here it is. The former lawyer noted, and you heard it just there, that I didn't have any event ready clothes to wear, so I had to tell my team, you know what, that was the end of it. Give me a break. You know what?
Starting point is 01:06:55 like American values are all about hard work and perseverance and being willing to just get up and suck it up every single day. You know, Leslie, you've been here with me back when we had 100 viewers. I'm looking at her note right there. David, David, you were one of the first as well. Thank you for your generosity. That is really, really, really sweet. I appreciate it so much, you guys. Mostly I appreciate that you have helped create this community because it's not easy, right? done this together, and guess what? I've done it here, barely knowing how to work half this equipment. Leslie would be like, sounds not working today, sounds not working. Anyway, the reality is sometimes you do things in life because it's what you need to do. And the value of that and
Starting point is 01:07:42 the value of perseverance and hard work, that should never be underestimated. Nobody's going to give you anything. That's not the American way. We work for it. We earn it. And we love the process. Thank you so much for helping us get to this 700,000 subs achievement. We're beating Michelle. I will see you back here. Live again tomorrow for another round.
