Starting point is 00:00:58 I know exactly how the left-wing media is trying to present this deal. They're trying to say that Trump caved. They're trying to say he gave Iran a ton of money, and this is all just to save himself. Gosh, guys, you know, I'll tell you, anything could be further from the truth. This is a deal that I think we will look back on historically and say thank you to one Donald Trump for helping to save the world. We're going to get into all the particulars here.
Starting point is 00:01:28 plus his big warning, his big warning to Iran, because you know what, if they don't abide by the terms of this deal, it's game over. A bombshell report, meanwhile, just out today from the Carnegie Foundation saying that Donald Trump might actually leave. Leave, leave, leave, NATO for good, unbelievable. This all happening as G7 signs a pact towards what? Am I hearing things? preventing illegal migration, illegal immigration, whoa. Okay, now you know that Donald Trump is in the room and he's got a heck of a lot of sway. Welcome to the program, everyone.
Starting point is 00:02:06 So good to have you here. I'm Trish Regan. This is the Trish Regan show and we begin on Donald Trump's warning to Iran. You know what? If you guys don't play ball the way you're supposed to, if you don't do what we have asked you to do, then it is going to be game over and game over. pretty darn fast. He is sticking to his guns on this one, making it clear to the world on stage, while in Avion, France, as they wrap up G7, that this is an agreement that he could tear up tomorrow
Starting point is 00:02:37 and start bombing again. Watch. He gave them everything, including a lot of money, which we don't give them, by the way, just in case you have any question. We'll be giving this out so you can read it, and you can see. And it's a memorandum of understanding. If it doesn't get done, In 60 days, it's all right. We go back to bombing. You know, I don't want to do that because it's so good. But we might have to because we're never going to let them have a nuclear weapon. But they've agreed not to, and you'll see that very clearly in the agreement.
Starting point is 00:03:08 It is, actually. And I read through the agreement before coming on air with you. I think it's paragraph 7, as my memory, if my memory serves me right. But basically, it's all spelled out there. And they cannot have a nuclear weapon. It's game over if they try to. to pursue a nuclear weapon. Yes, there are benefits to Iran. Now, the mainstream media is trying to say, oh, he's giving them this, he's giving them that. He's actually not giving them anything.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I mean, technically, he's not giving them anything. Not to mention there is that indeed, well, I think we heard not once, not twice, maybe three times about this warning. I think I have another example of this warning where he's making it very, very clear. We're going to get into the particulars. I'll explain exactly what the left wing is trying to have everyone think, which is not in fact true, but we'll get into that in a second. Let's go back to the warnings. If they don't behave, we'll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head, okay, because they've misbehaved for 47 years. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. If they don't behave, we're going to go right back
Starting point is 00:04:13 to dropping bombs on their heads because they've misbehaved for 47 years and they better get with the program. Again, he's very serious here. They have to behave themselves. If they're not behaving, they get hit again. You know, they'll be hit again because we can do it very easily. It's going to take a long way for them to build back their anti-aircraft stuff. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:37 So did you get the message? In other words, I think he's biding time to a certain extent here. Don't forget what you have is an opportunity to make sure that you're opening the straight of hormones again, which means all the oil flushes back into the rest of the world, 20% that has been shut off, not to mention the sanctions relief being something that Iran desperately wanted, right, because it's been cut off from the world economy, and it was cut off from the world economy because it wasn't willing to make what the president considered a real deal back when he was in term first time around, right? He didn't like the Iran deal that Barack Obama
Starting point is 00:05:15 did. He felt that there were too many concessions and that there wasn't enough opportunity to really watch these guys carefully enough. So that deal, away, he tore it up, he put nothing in, they didn't have any kind of agreement. Biden allowed for the next four years to go on, Biden and Kamala, and look at what they were doing. They were trying to use all their extra cash they had on hand. By the way, we sanctioned them under Biden. They were heavily sanctioned, so they weren't able to join the world economy in any kind of way. And yet they continued working on that nuclear arsenal until they got to the point where, well, they could hold us up. and that's exactly what they intended to do.
Starting point is 00:05:54 So Donald Trump comes back into office. They're holding them up. They say, hey, hey, look at this. We got a nuclear weapon. And suddenly now we have to get very serious about getting some kind of deal together because, yes, they can block, not to mention cause enormous destruction,
Starting point is 00:06:08 but they can block much of the world from getting access to oil. So here's where we are right now. He is threatening, yes, to go back to bombing if they don't adhere to terms of the agreement. But the agreement, frankly, is in their interest to adhere to. Final or are you still?
Starting point is 00:06:23 No, it's not final. It's a memorandum of understanding. And if I don't like it, we'll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head. What do you expect those? If I don't like it, if they don't behave, we'll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head. Okay? Because they've misbehaved for 47 years. All right?
Starting point is 00:06:47 All right. All right. Whoopsy, Daisy. So take a look here. You get the reports that were coming out all week, the UAE to unlock billions of dollars for Iran, according to sources. And in fact, that's sort of true, right? We went over this a couple of days ago, and I explained to you that the U.S. wasn't going to be giving any money, but I wouldn't put it past the other Arab nations involved in this deal to be unlocking funds or even, wow, even contributing to funds like the $300 billion fund,
Starting point is 00:07:21 that investors can contribute to to get Iran back on its feet, the reconstruction fund, if you would. And there are investors that will see Iran as an economic opportunity that they want to invest in. And so they'll be pouring cash in from other parts of the Middle East. I realize this does make everyone increasingly nervous. Again, the memo of understanding is allowing for that investment to happen. And importantly, the sanctions to go away. Like, sanctions relief is a biggie here, okay? Iran has wanted that so desperately, and now they are getting that sanctions relief,
Starting point is 00:07:55 enabling them, if you would, to really be more of an economic player on the world stage. One thing I would say, well, we caution, okay, we don't want Iran to get that much money. In exchange, you're getting this ability to go in and make sure that you're monitoring their nuclear facilities, et cetera. And it's almost like, dare I say, bribery? I mean, you're like bribing Iran to kind of. to be a good actor. And so we don't necessarily like that, but what's the alternative? I mean, a lot of my very hawkish friends have said, well, you know, we should go in and do this, this and this. I don't know, are you going to hear of Shima them? I mean, like, what are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:08:33 Like, you don't want to be killing innocent people. It is the regime, yes, that's at fault, yet simultaneously, there's no backup. We have no backup regime. There is no Delsey Rodriguez to go to. So what are you going to do? You're taking out regime number one. You're taking out regime number two, now you're on regime number three. And again, I'm just a realist here, right? You want to contain Iran. We want to contain Iran so that we can actually get to the point where we're making and succeeding in having pipelines, say, from Egypt or Israel that bypasses the entire Strait of Hormuz. I mean, we can make the Strait of Hormuz irrelevant in two or three years. But we need to make sure that we're not completely shut down for the next two or three years because you're
Starting point is 00:09:17 saw what it was doing to gas prices. So it's a really dicey kind of position to be in. And I realize he's sensitive to the spin that's going to get out there because people are saying, wait, a $300 billion fund? What's that about? How is Iran going to have access to $300 billion? And he keeps saying, no, no, no, that's fake news. The U.S. is not giving $300 billion to Iran. U.S. taxpayer money is not involved in that in any way, shape, or form. Let me repeat. U.S. taxpayer dollars are not going to fund Iran, but what he's saying is because of the sanctions relief. Yeah, you know, if people want to contribute to the funding of a reconstruction in Iran, they are welcome to invest in that. Let's cue the tape. Again, in Avian, in Avian France,
Starting point is 00:10:00 just earlier today, a couple hours ago. You've been clear, President Trump, the United States is not going to directly pay Iran, but the U.S. is going to let the Iranians start making billions of dollars. Selling oil, accessing this reconcelling the fund. Only if they're doing things right. Only if, Peter, only if, we're not doing anything.
Starting point is 00:10:25 We're not putting up money. Only if they're doing things right. If they're doing things right, if people want to invest, they can invest. But they had this $300 million fund. It's only $300 billion fund. It's only if they're
Starting point is 00:10:39 doing things right. Remember this also. When you talk about billion, you're, of dollars. They've had much more than a trillion dollars worth of damage done. They got a long way. They'll be 15 to 20 years to rebuild what they have right now. So they have to behave themselves. If they're not behaving, they get hit again. You know, they'll be hit again because we can do it very easily. It's going to take a long way for them to build back their anti-aircraft stuff. So, yeah, in other words, they've been somewhat debilitated and somewhat neutralized, and now
Starting point is 00:11:14 there's an opportunity for independent investors to come in and help them get back on their feet. In exchange, of course, and there's plenty of people that are getting queued up because they want access to those oil fields and they want access to the mining operations, et cetera. And so they see this as an opportunity. And he's like, okay, I'm not going to block independent investors from doing that. The other thing he's not going to do is hang on to their money. So what you're going to see in the mainstream media, oh, Trump is giving them billions of billions of dollars. No, what Trump is saying is I am no longer going to.
Starting point is 00:11:44 sanction their money because when you hold on to anybody's money from anywhere in the world, and this is why sanctions can get kind of sticky and, you know, Russia's had this problem. What does the rest of the world infer from that? Oh, I don't want to do business with the U.S. I don't want to buy treasuries. I don't want to have any of my money in U.S. dollars or in U.S. bank accounts because I may never be able to get it out. It's part of the reason why you've seen this flight to safety in gold, right?
Starting point is 00:12:07 That's a geopolitical concern that other countries have. And so he's well aware of the sensitivity to that well. And if he's not well aware, I'll tell you, our Treasury Secretary, Scott Besant is well aware, as the president explained, because he thought about, hey, why not keep their money indefinitely, forever? Watch. What the difference is between giving Iran, U.S. dollars, and unfreezing U.S. dollars for. Well, the unfreezing is an easy one to answer. We have taken a lot of their money, and we have their money.
Starting point is 00:12:41 taken their money, it's not our money, it's their money, and we froze it. At a certain point in time, I guess we're going to have to give it back. You know, if we didn't give it back, nobody would ever invest in the dollar again. If you took their money, because I thought about it, you know, I'm not the most perfect person. I said to Scott, Scott, what do we keep their money? What the hell are we giving it back to them? But, you know, people from lots of nations, some nations we don't agree, they have their money. The dollars become very strong under me.
Starting point is 00:13:16 And they don't want to have a little conflict with somebody and end up having the United States just take their money. So if you do that, you really don't have a system. Exactly. Okay. So this is this is the problem, right? And yes, you can hold on to their money. And if they're an enemy, yes, you tend to hold on to their money. But the flip side of that is in the future, people are going to say, well, I don't want to be in the U.S. dollar anymore. think you've seen central banks all over the globe, right? They have taken their money out of U.S. dollars. They've put it in things like gold, and it's gotten actually worse. We're going to report a little bit more on this for you tomorrow, but the word is a lot of these European nations are
Starting point is 00:13:58 actually taking their gold out of the U.S. Fed, Federal Reserve Bank, and they're transferring it over to London. So they're liquidating gold in the U.S. They're moving it to London because, again, they sort of want to make sure that they have their hands on it and they want it over in Europe amid this trepidation about this administration and perhaps because they don't really like us and they're worried about us and they're worried about us pulling out of NATO and this, that and the other. But the bigger picture here in terms of what this means for Iran is when you have sanctions relief and if they have all this money sitting in U.S. dollars, we're no longer going to be able to hang on to it. We will therefore then have to reopen it. And so this is another sort of item,
Starting point is 00:14:40 would that will get misinterpreted and sort of butchered by the mainstream media because the next thing you know, they're going to say, oh, you know, Trump gave him this. No, Trump's not giving them anything. Trump is just allowing for sanctions relief, which means we cannot hold on to the money that they have in U.S. bank accounts anymore. But they were, you know, they were struggling. They needed to come to the table. Look, you know, full disclosure, I think he saw that inflation report the other day, and we talked about it. It hadn't caught up to core inflation anymore. But when you look, at CPI, consumer prices. And when you look at PPI, producer prices, you were getting upwards of 6% on producer prices. You were looking at upwards of 4% on consumer prices. That starts getting into
Starting point is 00:15:20 dicey territory. Remember when Biden got up to like 11% on producer prices and he was nearly at 10% on consumer prices? You don't want that kind of inflation. You just don't. We hadn't, again, I want to reiterate, we hadn't seen it creep into the rest of the economy. But as I always say, you know, you can look at core inflation or you can look at inflation overall. And I realize core is stripping out food and energy, but hey, what do you think? We got to eat and we got to stay warm or cool. You need food and energy. And so when that inflation number goes higher and higher and higher and you get an election coming up, hey, you know, we're all realists here. We're all big boys and girls. And we have to sort of understand how the real world goes.
Starting point is 00:15:59 You can't hear or she'll shim of them. I realize there's a contingency of people out there like that. And you can't roll over and play dead, Rashida, okay, and allow for them to just have a nuclear weapon, Ilhan, and intimidate the rest of the world and the whole Middle East with it. So what is the, you know, the adult in the room going to do? We're going to bleed them. As we did, we were bleeding them cash. They were losing 500 million bucks a day, thanks to our embargo, the brilliant embargo. We froze all their money. And now we have a deal. Now we have a memorandum of understanding. And that memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed this Friday in Geneva.
Starting point is 00:16:39 They're sending J.D. over for the honors. You know, he's finishing up his book tour, which my estimation didn't go that well there yesterday on the view. I mean, or maybe there were just too many missed opportunities. But anyway, you know, 60 days of further talks on nuclear issues, sanctions, reliefs, these frozen assets, of course, and, you know, they've got to abide by the agreement. And that means they're going to have to open up. You're looking at a map of the Strait of Hormuz. This is from a few days ago back when we were striking them, but we've stopped the strikes. We're going to stop the embargo. They're going to open this thing up. You're going to have 20% of the world's oil supply back on the market. Alleluia, right? And important because if you can contain Iran, then you can contain energy prices. And if you contain Iran long enough to get yourself those pipelines that will go from the Middle East to Europe, then you get a home run. And that's why he said over and over again, we're going to have any. energy prices coming down. This is what he promised, and this is what he's delivering.
Starting point is 00:17:46 And we get energy up a little bit today because everybody's worked up because he said, yeah, you know what? If they don't do what we want, we'll strike them again. And that has people kind of freaked out in the markets. But not actually, Todd, I think you're going to see the lower prices that we had even before we did this. Now, I knew there'd be an increase. I said, we have a choice. We don't have to do anything.
Starting point is 00:18:04 And then two years or one year or two months because Iran would have had a, if we didn't hit that with the B2 bombers, Iran would have had a nuclear weapon within two weeks from that date because they were ready to go. And if they had a nuclear weapon, it would have been used already. It also would have been used had I not terminated the Obama deal, the Iran nuclear deal, as we call it. Now, I want to make sure that I've got these oil prices correctly at this moment in time because they've been jumping around. Don't forget, they were way down, right? You know, we were looking at the numbers yesterday together in real time, and we saw that we found, wow, you know, you had basically a real sell-off there, a real sell-off in oil prices. Today, however, they started creeping back up.
Starting point is 00:18:52 At last check, they were up around two, you know, we're back down. Okay, so there you have it. Okay. You know what? We got to redo. We got to redo our lower thirds. That's what you call them in the business, you know, the little things on the bottom of the screen there, because I think I had made sure that I said, we were seeing a difference in energy prices.
Starting point is 00:19:09 And you saw the energy prices were actually moving higher, but they have since moved lower. So it shows you the volatility right now. I think the markets are actually accepting and understanding that this is for real. This memorandum of understanding, granted, he reserves the right to go strike him again. And he makes this very, very, very clear, right? Final or are you still? No, it's not final.
Starting point is 00:19:30 It's a memorandum of understanding. And if I don't like it, we'll go back to shooting at him, dropping bombs on their head. When do you expect those? If I don't like it, if they don't behave, we'll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head, okay? Because they've misbehaved for 47 years. All right? We'll get to Kevin Warsh.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Sean, thank you for asking. Kevin Worse, he made a comment about that. We had the down, closing down 500 points there as Warsh's first Fed meeting set off, effectively a surge. and bond yields, and so people are getting a little bit worried about that. Treasury yields going way, way up. Investors growing pretty uncertain over the path of monetary policy over the next few years. So that's contributing to things as well. But still, oil is lower at this moment. I want to go back to what the president said earlier this morning about why oil prices are coming down in this way. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Behaving, they get hit again. You know, they'll be hit again because we can do it very easily. It's going to take a long way for them to build back their anti- fuel, so goes everything. Fuel is dropping. It's now in the 70s per barrel. And I think we'll get it down. When I say I was in Iowa, and we had great victories in Iowa. And when I left, I noticed in a gas station $1.85 a gallon.
Starting point is 00:20:56 That's where we were. It's a little bit higher generally, but I saw two stations $1.85, $1.91. and, you know, we're going to get around those levels. Very honored. Yeah. Well, we'll get there. We'll talk about the Fed again coming up because Kevin Warsh just gave his first press conference there as the new head of the Federal Reserve taking over for one, Jerome Powell.
Starting point is 00:21:22 And, you know, he's pointed out that the central bank had a lot of misses. A lot of misses, right? And that's got to get corrected. But before we get to that, one more thing I just got to tell you, you know, this is a bombshell. This is an absolute total bombshell because a new report from Carnegie Institute says the Trump is actually very seriously considering leaving NATO altogether. This just came out last night. And I think this has a little something to do with why we may have gotten some concessions
Starting point is 00:21:53 from Europe, why they're very, very nervous here we are, you know, just hours away from the big Brussels meeting. and they are being held accountable for their NATO spend. Here's the president talking about Europe and the European leaders earlier today. Have you seen European leaders interact very warmly with you at the summit? Do you think that they're coming around to your worldview? Well, I think they think I was right. I'm sort of always right.
Starting point is 00:22:18 You know, when you get right down to it. I think they think I was right. They feel good. Now all of a sudden they're, they all want to be involved. There's no reason to have them because it's pretty much over. they all want to be involved. He'd be involved if I wanted, but we don't want to waste his time for his people. No, the European leaders, the meeting we had today was, you know, just the leaders.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I don't even say the European, the leaders that we had met with. In addition to the seven, we had quite a few come in. They all were willing to get involved. Okay. Did you hear that? So, you know, he's like, okay, they've been kind of nice. nice? Well, wouldn't you be nice? Under these circumstances? So again, according to a report that came out from Carnegie Institute just last night, Donald Trump was looking very seriously at leaving Iran.
Starting point is 00:23:12 It could still be on the table, leaving, forgive me, NATO over Iran. According to this report, it says more recently angered by allied reluctance to support U.S. military action against Trump, Trump has floated the possibility of leaving NATO altogether. Interesting, right? I mean, so again, this is Carnegie. They're very left-leaning, but still nonetheless a decently credible enough source, very tight with the intel community and very much, I think, on NATO's side. So they're very hysterical about this. And all of NATO is treating this very seriously. They are quite, I think, struck by the idea that we might actually just bail on NATO altogether. And, you know, I don't entirely understand why we wouldn't in that those countries.
Starting point is 00:23:58 have had 70 some odd years. I mean, they've been, what, together since 1949. It started off as 12. Now they're 32, for goodness sakes. And they're all mature economies that can handle this on their own. And yet they're looking to mom and dad consistently. And we've talked at length about this. At some point, you know, push comes to shove, it's got to stop. And I think they kind of did it to themselves. Again, given their position on Iran that they made very, very clear. And I'm going to put Spain off to the side. I mean, forget about Spain. Spain is such a loser place right now with a loser little Pedro, who's running the joint. He's on his last days. A lot of these people are, right? Starmor is, you know, certainly Fredi Merz, Frederic, Merz over there in Germany. They're
Starting point is 00:24:41 all on their last sort of hurrah. And I think that, you know, they're getting the message loud and clear from Donald Trump. We are not going to shoulder this burden anymore. The report from Carnegie goes on to say he has rejected any international legal limits on the use of U.S. military force, most obviously in Iran, and longstanding U.S. allies increasingly mimic fenced sitting, diversifying their diplomatic portfolios, and securing themselves against an unpredictable United States. Because, well, let me just say this, you guys over in Europe, you're pretty darn unpredictable. Again, we spend hundreds of billions of dollars on our bases, and then when push comes to shove and we need the one in six. We need the one
Starting point is 00:25:27 in Sicily for a little pit stop before going over to the Middle East and Georgia Maloney, allegedly our allies, she's supposed to be like on the right and for Trump. For goodness sake, she can't even cough up the lousy base in Sicily that we've single-handedly been supporting. I mean, we support a whole bunch of them, like six of them over there. What Europe has done with immigration, most of the countries, not all. What they've done with immigration is horrible. Do we still have the same relationship with Italy right now and Georgia Maloney? No.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Now, she's been negative. Anybody that turned us down for helping with this Iran situation, we do not have the same relationship. Just so you know, Italy gets a lot of oil from the strait. You can call it the street of Hormuz or the Hormuz Strait. I said, which is better? They said, either is okay. But you can call it either one. The only thing you can't call it is the Trump straight.
Starting point is 00:26:23 They don't like that idea. So this information is all coming to us. Think about this on the eve of the Brussels summit. They had the NATO summit. Well, not the big one. The big one's actually in Ankara, Turkey. That's happening next month in July. But this is the precursor, the sort of working event where they're going to sit down with
Starting point is 00:26:40 Marco Rubio and they're going to try and figure out what it is that they can do whether or not they've been paying their 5%. No one's paying their 5%. I mean, Poland. I think Poland is paying their 5%. No one else is even close to it. No one else is even paying their lousy two and a half. half percent. I mean, they just haven't gotten the message. And then Donald Trump says, yeah, well,
Starting point is 00:27:00 who need you? And in inside intel circles, now they're saying that Donald Trump is very serious about leaving NATO altogether, which is why Freddie Merritt, Friedrich over in Germany, is suddenly trying to sound a little bit more accommodating. Don't forget, this is the guy who accused us of being terrible negotiators. And then we have been humiliated by what, the third round of IGRC? I I would say the first two got kind of humiliated and dope. Well, Freddie, they got taken out all together, okay? So that's got to be pretty humiliating. Anyway, here's Fred.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I have to accept that the American president holds a different view on these issues than we do. But that does not alter the fact that I remain convinced that the Americans are important partners for us, the most important ones in the North Atlantic Alliance, and that we have a shared interest in Europe and America working together to end this conflict. and then, for example, to end the conflict, the war in Ukraine. To provide joint security guarantees for Ukraine, we have already achieved a great deal together in this regard. We have a different view of this war.
Starting point is 00:28:06 That is no secret. I am not alone in this. We have a common aim. And that aim must be Iran must not be allowed to acquire the atomic bomb. And that is what we are working together to achieve. Okay. I'm so glad that we can at least agree that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon. You know, it's really good that we're on the same page with that, buddy boy, okay?
Starting point is 00:28:31 Like, because, you kind of had me there. I didn't think you really care because, you know, you didn't want to help. None of you wanted to help. Italy didn't want to help. I mean, Spain came right out and said that the whole thing was illegal. Notice they didn't get an invitation to G7. They basically like taking the... themselves off the map. I mean, the good news is the guy's going to get voted out, right, any day
Starting point is 00:28:56 now. Pedrito, little Pedro Sanchez, is on his way out. Apparently he's a little too close to the Chinese, and his voters, his constituents have figured that out. And so maybe Spain has a chance at something. They have a whole Spain first agenda there, like America first, and it's filled with young professionals. Okay, so not exactly the kind of people. They want to remain relevant. They want to have a seat at the table, even though they didn't have a seat in helping to destroy the very aggressive Iran that had been attacking everybody. I think the president's probably going to tell them, be a little bit more American and less European. If somebody's fighting you and attacking you, have the stones to go out there and hit back instead of run away like what you were doing.
Starting point is 00:29:37 And you see this a little bit. You see Italy, I believe, has since signaled that they might send a ship or two in there to help deal with some of the mine sweeping. But I haven't seen much more since then. Congratulations from Starmor. I think that would be the extent of it. Wow. By the way, that was represented Brian Mass on the chairman of the Foreign House Relations Committee. So now, you know, push comes to shove here. Would he actually leave NATO over Iran? I think he's said over and over again, look, you guys weren't there for us. Why should we be there for you? Why should we be spending all this money? We have a lot of things that we could be, should be spending money on. It doesn't really make sense to be coughing up all this cash. And we, by the way, we've been, we've taken this on more than anyone else. We have taken this on, and we've taken it on since 1949. I mean, you think about the Marshall Plan.
Starting point is 00:30:25 That was us. And then you think about the hundreds of billions of dollars. I mean, adjusted for inflation, we've got to be in the trillions now of how much money we've given to them. And what has it done? It has enabled them to do really stupid stuff. Like have all kinds of crazy social welfare programs. So nobody actually really has to work for a living over there
Starting point is 00:30:43 to have all kinds of free stuff. Free, free, free, free, free, free. We don't have free health care. They have free health care. Well, guess what? We're paying for their health care. Oh, and then they can say, oh, let's open up the borders. Come one, come all.
Starting point is 00:30:56 And, you know, we'll give you free stuff too because, hey, it's our mom and dad's tab. Hey, just ask Uncle Sam. You know, they'll pay. No more. All right, we're done with it. The free ride is over. Finito. Finalmente, over, okay?
Starting point is 00:31:16 And this is what they're going to learn. Brussels. This is the message. I mean, they're out there. They're getting kind of desperate. They're trying to figure out how they're going to cover up this shortfall. I mean, it's going to be a lot of money. I mean, whether or not we pull out all together, that's one thing. But just getting these folks to pay up a bunch of deadbeats that don't believe they need to pay their fair share. Ever since Donald Trump came on the scene, it's been a whole new world, a whole new world order. You wonder why so many people did not want him to win. I mean, USAID, Well, there goes the gravy train for all the Dems.
Starting point is 00:31:52 All these programs run by fraudsters out in Minnesota. Or now we're learning in California. Boof! Gone. You see, there were a lot of people that were very dependent on that spigot being open. Not the spigot of the Federal Reserve, that's another spigot, but the spigot of Uncle Sam, you know, Chuck and Nancy, when they put trillions of dollars in COVID spending in there, everybody had their hand out. all over the world. And so all this spending has gotten ramped up. And we're saying we're just not
Starting point is 00:32:25 going to do it anymore. It's just not that important to us. You guys go fight your own situation with Russia. I mean, we'd like Russia to end it. But you know what? If it's this important to you, you handle it. You're big boys and girls now. Okay. So now they say they're looking at it, right? They're like, we got it. We got it. I mean, I'm wishing them luck here, okay? Because we're on their side. We really are. I mean, even though sometimes it sounds like I'm not. I am. I love Europe. I love the cultures. You know, I speak a lot of languages. I love the food. I'm going to be over there this summer reporting for you. I mean, I think the people are terrific. And I think there's a lot of reasons for us to encourage them to be the big boys and girls that they can be so that they can protect themselves because we want strong allies, right? You want your allies to be as strong as possible. They shouldn't have to come to us. I think we would be there, honestly, in times and need. But you can't be there day in and day out when they're doing what they're doing. So again, going back to the Carnegie report, just out, this came out actually last night. And this is what has Brussels so up in a dizzy because they're like, wow, I mean, it really is serious.
Starting point is 00:33:31 And I guess you have to make it serious because I'm listening to this reporter who caught Marco just yesterday and said, you know, the Europeans don't really like you. What are you going to do about it? He's like, not my problem, okay? Not my problem, all right? I don't care if they like me or not. I like this guy. I really do.
Starting point is 00:33:50 He's telling it like it is. No frills. It's true. And I've had him on my show over the years, and he's kind of no frills when he comes off too. He's like, right down to business, all right? And here he is telling this reporter, who cares, who likes me here in Europe?
Starting point is 00:34:07 I am not in a popularity contest. I'm here on behalf of the United States of America. I look forward to meeting with them. I don't know what reception. I would get from them, I think it should be happy that I'm going. Well, we don't have to go. Well, again, I'm not there to make them happy. I get along with all of on a personal level.
Starting point is 00:34:27 We work with those governments very carefully, but the people I'm interested in making happy are the people of the United States. That's who I work for. I don't work for France or Germany or Japan. These are all good people. We're going to have great meetings. But I work for them. So there you have it.
Starting point is 00:34:42 He works for us. He's not working for the globalists. The globalists are going to get a new team in town because I realized Biden left, Kamala left, Obama, he's gone. And you got to deal with Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. But, you know, think about the size of NATO, if you would. I mean, we found in 1949 you had 12 members and they were all looking to rebuild, of course, well, you had the Marshall Plan first. And then, yeah, they, you know, they wanted to guard themselves against the threat of communism.
Starting point is 00:35:16 and communism at that time was, but somehow we went from 12 to 32. 32 member countries. Forgive the spelling errors as I look at these in real time with you. Luxembourg is in their teeny tiny country of Luxembourg has the highest per capita income in the world. I think they're higher than Ireland, okay? And they are in there. Okay, you got Denmark, you got Czech Republic, Croatia, you got Spain. Forget about Spain. Spain won't even give their 2%. I mean because, you know, they're just, fundamentally against war. They actually got an exception at the Hague last year. Think about that. They shouldn't have gotten an exception. No way, Jose, pun intended. Spain, buckle up. All right,
Starting point is 00:36:01 you get all these countries in there. Poland is doing a good job. We're actually going to send more troops to Poland because we want to reward those that really are our allies. But I want to show you this. So the former USS ambassador to the U.S. ambassador to the U.S. ambassador to the U.S. USSR. You knew where I was going. You knew, you know. George Cannon. He actually said back in 1997, in a piece, an op-ed that he authored in the New York Times, he wrote, The View, bluntly stated, is that expanding NATO would be the most fateful error of American policy in the entire post-Cold War error. Such a decision may be expected to inflame the nationalistic, anti-Western, and militaristic tendencies in Russian opinion to have an adverse effect on the
Starting point is 00:36:48 development of Russian democracy to restore the atmosphere of the Cold War to East West relations and to impel Russian foreign designs in directions decidedly not to our liking. Okay? Yeah. In other words, when you go from 12 to 32, I mean, what is Russia to think? It's kind of only natural, right? Like human nature, hello, have some like appreciation for human nature. that's the guy who was the ambassador throughout the Cold War.
Starting point is 00:37:19 I mean, he understands you're starting the Cold War all over again. And maybe now it's officially into Hot War territory. So more and more countries wanting to be part of NATO, why so they can live off a mom and dad here in the U.S. of A too? Why not? I mean, that's the way it's been. We just keep forking over the money, forking over the money, forking over the money.
Starting point is 00:37:42 And they're like, oh, can I get in on that too? I mean, it's like Ilhan Omar's little community in Minnesota where they were all saying to each other, hey, I want to be part of feeding our future. $250 million, sign me up. These countries are like, sign me up. I'm ready. Let me be part of NATO. Until, of course, we came along and said, you know, you're going to have to pay 5%.
Starting point is 00:38:06 5% of GDP. Well, they're scared. They're scared because it's becoming so abundantly clear. clear that this administration is not willing to let them get away with anything. This administration is willing to walk. This administration is willing to say enough is enough is enough. We will leave NATO altogether. We don't even need to be part of it. We don't even need to give our 5% or you know sit there counting the pennies from you all. Not our problem. We can get out. We have options, all right? And you know, this might be,
Starting point is 00:38:45 why today we got some surprising news a shocker coming out of g7 guys shocking i mean i never thought i'd see the day when europe would say no more open borders and that's exactly what went down of course they're getting a lot of pressure what's weekend in rome you had the people protesting saying we don't want this anymore we don't want these open borders it's not working for us Georgia Maloney, you need to stop it. We found a great deal of unity here at the G7, and we signed a declaration on illegal immigration the first time ever for a G7 statement.
Starting point is 00:39:26 They did a beautiful statement. Yet, you're not going to hear a lot about this, but I think this is a big deal, and it actually shows that he's got a heck of a lot of sway right now. The US of A has a heck of a lot of sway. So here is the beautiful statement that he was just referring to, the immigration agreement, signed to, historic at G7.
Starting point is 00:39:44 We the leaders of the G7 reaffirm our enduring efforts to prevent and counter the struggling of migrants. Okay, we'll give them that. They had to get that one in there. You know, we want you to know, we understand, we sympathize. Migrants smuggling and human trafficking, however, constitute serious transnational crimes
Starting point is 00:40:04 that erode the sovereign rights of the states to control their borders and expose smuggled and trafficked persons to life-threatening. risks. What do you say? Oh my gosh, it sounds like I'm listening to Tom Holman there. Did Tom get to have any say in what the G7 would come out with? And so they go on. We are committed to tackling organized illegal migration. We remain committed to fighting against all forms of abuse and exploitation of migrants. Wow. And then they said they're renewing
Starting point is 00:40:41 their commitment to preventing countering and dismantling organized criminal networks that profit from the smuggling of migrants, the trafficking in persons, and the other related crimes, as well as disrupting the business models of organized criminal enterprises. Yeah, they said they were going to go after drug trafficking too. I'm like, woohoo! Okay. I think, I think Trump got to them. And I think Marco Rubio did too. You know, there's a lot of work. People don't realize ahead of these summits. There's a ton of work that goes on behind the scenes. And this is part of of what they're doing at Department of State because they want to come out with some wins here. And so this is a big win.
Starting point is 00:41:17 You have the world saying, we're not going to allow for illegal migration anymore. This is kind of a different tune than I think I was here. And at Davos just a couple of years ago, right? We're at Davos. They were telling us, oh, no, we need to just open it all up. And nobody should be limited to living anywhere. And we should have these open borders. George Soros, what are you going to do for goodness sakes?
Starting point is 00:41:38 You know, maybe your son and his new little hottie that used to be married to that Weiner guy, Anthony Weiner. Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. Anyway, maybe they can get involved. I mean, maybe bring Weiner in too, you know, maybe he can stop this in its tracks. Listen, America first is spoken. This is the world first. This is put your country first.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Take care of yourself first and then worry about everyone else. This is huge. know what? It's coming in an important time for some of these leaders who are obviously, you know, seeing a very disenfranchised population from the streets of Germany to the streets of Rome, to the streets of Belfast, to the streets of London, to the streets of Paris, and background to Rome again. You saw the protests. There they were. Thousands and thousands of people lined up in Italy's capitals saying, hey, enough is enough is enough. I mean, they can't take it anymore.
Starting point is 00:42:41 They brought Georgia in to stop it. And then you think about what was happening in Belfast, right? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. In Belfast, Ireland. Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK still.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Although, if they're smart, they're going to get out. If there's smart, they're going to join Mother Ireland. Trust me. The UK is not doing anything for you. And so, you know, you might actually see that. That might be one of the things that comes out of all this as well. But when you think of how the people have been so upset and then you have the leaders, some of them, like Georgia Maloney,
Starting point is 00:43:21 who campaigned on an anti-migrant campaign who said, enough is enough, we've got to seal our border here in Italy. I mean, and then the other day I hear her saying this. She's saying, and Europe, have been going to immigration. She's saying. Okay, and just to translate for you in this, she's basically telling you that Italy and Europe's economy overall cannot function without migrants, and that you need those immigrants coming in. And so she had signed on to allow for 500,000, okay, 500,000 new migrants to be coming in in the next three years.
Starting point is 00:44:06 again, the same woman who campaigned on something different. So what, it takes Donald Trump to get up there in front of G7 and his team working behind the scenes in the weeks prior to this to get some kind of commitment to ending open borders, the former head of the UK for a brief minute, right? But they didn't like her really aggressive tax-cutting policy. Liz Truss came out and said, this is the biggest threat to Western civilization right now,
Starting point is 00:44:36 Period. Listen to her. This is just the other day. And what I am saying is unless we get a grip and change the way our country's work, the West will be finished in 10 years. And what do I mean by that? I mean we have been threatened by left-wing ideology, whether it's excessive government spending, whether it's net zero ideology, whether it's things like DEI and ESG, whether it's Islamism, All of these things have conspired to hollow out our countries, to stagnate our growth, but also to present real threats to the way of life in the West. And I am a Trump supporter. I think that Trump getting elected last year was the first domino to be falling in the right direction in terms of saving the West, because otherwise,
Starting point is 00:45:36 Otherwise, I think that we will see China and radical Islam two terrible partners win against the West. That is the threat we face. Indeed. So, you know, she's coming out, again, sort of telling it like it is. A lot of people don't want to have these kinds of discussions in this moment right now. But this is the reality of where we are. And I love that Donald Trump and his entire team, I suspect Marco and his team had a lot to do with this. really forced the issue, really forced the issue in a way that had to be acknowledged.
Starting point is 00:46:12 I mean, I cannot state enough what a big, big deal this is for the G7 to be saying, okay, you know what, we are actually going to make a change here. This is phenomenal, guys, and this might be one of the biggest accomplishments that has come out of this meeting. This might be one of the biggest accomplishments, frankly, that have come out of G7 in years, I mean, I don't think they've ever done anything like this. Again, going back to, if you're just joining us, the immigration agreement that was signed at G7 is massive. They got it in there that they're still committed.
Starting point is 00:46:46 They understand that migrants are suffering and it's a struggle. However, they are committed to tackling organized illegal migration and that they want to fight those abuses. So this is a really, really, really big headline. And it's coming at an important, in a very, very, very important time, especially as we go into these meetings in Brussels tomorrow, right? Don't forget, in Brussels tomorrow, you're going to see all of these countries panicking because they're trying to get ready for the big meeting in Turkey.
Starting point is 00:47:23 And by the time they get to Turkey, they have to come up with the budget. Or I'm telling you, he may just leave. He may just say, you know what, we don't need it. And he's going to have a lot of bandwidth there to do that. He had talked about kicking places like Spain out. I think he may just say forget about it. You know, I'm really, really done. I want to go.
Starting point is 00:47:44 We were talking about Kevin Warsh earlier and holding rates steady and the market going down, you know, and basically you saw a lot of spiking the yields in sovereign debt there. So it's a little bit of a surprise. But you would think actually the opposite, only in that given we're releasing these funds for Iran, it shows in good faith that we're willing to act as someone's banker. And if they get into trouble with us, you know, if we're able to resolve it with that memorandum of understanding, we're willing to release the funds. So a little bit
Starting point is 00:48:18 of a counterintuitive reaction, if you would, there from the market today, Donald Trump reacting to it. Let's go to him right now. A Fed decision they held rates today. It's all right. Whatever. And it looks like they might even raise them later this year. It's not clear. It could happen.
Starting point is 00:48:38 I mean, it's hard to believe. It just keeps a country down. You know, it's so unusual. But we have a very good guy over there now, so I'm guided by what he wants. Quick reminder, by the way, speaking of markets and the Fed, go check out. my model portfolio is there at 76 research.com. We got three of them there for you. Again, the market's sort of selling off at least the Dow there on this news. I want to go to Kevin Warsh because he did say something pretty important. You know, the president doesn't like. I should
Starting point is 00:49:14 also point this out, guys. The president does not like the idea of these higher rates because, you know, I think that he sees what's coming. And what's coming is an environment where productivity is going to skyrocket and productivity is going to skyrocket. Why? Because of AI. And so in that AI environment, you run this risk, if you would, that prices actually, if they are too high, will actually start coming down because of the productivity gains. The same thing happened, right, with the internet boom and with Amazon and you would think, oh, you know, Amazon, it's this big sort of monopoly, but it actually is gathering together all these other smaller players and they're competing on pricing and because of that competition, it's driven prices down.
Starting point is 00:50:00 And so what he wants to make sure is that you still have enough sort of get up and go in this economy. And he wants to make sure that, you know, you will still have opportunity for people to have homes, et cetera. Let me go. I'm just trying to bring this sound into us right now. I'm like talking and doing my tech thing all at the same time. It's kind of amazing, right? I cease to amaze to amaze myself. Anyway, let me see if I can bring this to you.
Starting point is 00:50:23 I've got it. I've got it. I want you to hear from Kevin Warsh himself here talking. at his first Fed meeting. This is the guy that the president says is straight out of central casting. Here we go. We've missed for five years and we're going to fix that. Inflation remains elevated relative to the committee's 2% goal, in part reflecting supply shocks that have driven price increases in certain sectors including energy. That's the paragraph goes on to say, but to be clear, the Fed will deliver price stability.
Starting point is 00:50:54 My own judgment is the committee spent quite a bit of time, not just in two days, but over iterations of a couple of weeks. That's what we're prepared to say about inflation, but the commitment to deliver is strong, unanimous and unambiguous. And that's, I think, an important message. We've missed for five years, and we're going to fix that. All right. Well, I'd say that, yes, they have missed for a while. I mean, going all the way back to right after 2020. And I sat here talking to you back then.
Starting point is 00:51:31 I can remember it in August of 2020, and I'm pounding the table. I'm like, oh my gosh, you know, they're going to have mass inflation. Because Larry Summers was right on this. The guy who used to run Harvard, the guy who was actually, I mean, he's a Democrat, right? He worked for Obama. Former Treasury Secretary, former head of the National Economic Council. And he's like, you know, this is like Paris in August. Basically, everything's shut down.
Starting point is 00:51:52 And once everything opens up again, things are going to be sweet, things are going to be humming, and sure enough they were. But what did they do? They used it as an opportunity as an excuse to print money and to give it out to their cronies. And this is what is coming back to haunt the likes of possibly Gavin Newsom and his wife in California right now. It's haunting the likes of Ilhan Omar, Timmy Wals, Keith Ellison, et cetera, because I think a lot of bad stuff happened. They just kept that printing press going, and it happened in more ways than one. It happened at the Federal Reserve.
Starting point is 00:52:22 happened with Chuck and Nancy. And they printed and printed it. It happened with USAID. I mean, you know, you had all kinds of crazy money, funny money, as we like to call it, going to all kinds of crazy places. And so I just think, you know what, we are going to see a lot of changes coming, a heck of a lot of changes coming. You know, we want to continue a little bit on this trade stuff. We were talking about Canada the other day. Do you remember what I said about Canada, how it was kind of funny because Carney was out there saying, oh, you know, Europe's going to lead the world. And I thought, oh, boy, oh, buddy. I know you don't like Trump, but, you know, you got to let the TDS go a little bit because
Starting point is 00:53:00 it's getting kind of nauseating. Well, you know what? If Canada were smart, it probably would think a little bit more about where its bread is buttered, right? Because it kind of needs us. We're its biggest trade partner by a long shot. And, you know, Mexico too. In Mexico we got our issues with because there's a belief that Claudia is kind of on the take,
Starting point is 00:53:27 or at least there, because she's willing to look the other way with some of the cartels that really control the government. And so the president has been very outspoken about all of this in terms of wanting Canada and Mexico to do more of their fair share and to actually have a decent trade agreement with them. He was asked specifically about Canada. He was asked about Mexico, and this I want you to hear, because I think he's just put them on warning. Canada, you heard it here first, okay? The president is looking really hard at all of you.
Starting point is 00:53:59 He's not really sure whether you guys are going to be able to be our trade partner for the future, not without some work getting done. Here we go. How long do you hope USMCA negotiations or reviews go on? Well, it's not something that's, to me, I think it's better without it, I mean, to be honest with you. I'm not a big fan of it. I liked it because it got us out of NAFTA. In other words, after six years, you had a closet, got us out of NAFTA.
Starting point is 00:54:28 That's the thing I liked about it most. We do better without that agreement. So you want to just leave it in rolling? I would rather leave it unsigned. I'd rather have it terminated. You'd rather terminate? Those are different things, sir. I just want to become clear.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I would rather not have the agreement, but it, I'd rather. may sign it, but I would write, we do better as a country if we don't have an agreement. So are you thinking of? Yeah, I'm thinking about maybe we won't be able to make a deal. I would rather not have the USMCA. The primary reason I wanted it was because there was no way out of NAFTA, which was the worst trade agreement ever made, like ever, and they had no termination. And it was very hard to get USMCA for that reason. And I had a six year close. Who would have thought I would have been here in the six years? They got it six years because they I hoped I wouldn't be here.
Starting point is 00:55:15 My term was supposed to be over with. So on top of everything else, it comes to, I would prefer not having an agreement, but I'm open to doing it. We'll see what happened. So as of now, it's going to stick around for 10 years. You're not? No, it's not sticking around.
Starting point is 00:55:30 It'll be terminated. In other words, after a decade. It expires. Yeah, in a decade. It expires. I prefer that. In the first paragraph, I view it is possibly expiring immediately.
Starting point is 00:55:41 In the first paragraph. Whoa. So he sees it expiring immediately. Wow. Think about how much we trade with Canada. Somewhere around $719 billion. We have a trade deficit with them of about $46 billion. And so he doesn't like that. I would say, you know, energy is kind of important. I know he looks at Canada as a possible acquisition target. I mean, sort of facetiously, but he's looked at them as a possibility in part because they have such a robust energy sector that they probably should be doing a heck of a lot more with. And so maybe energy would come into that agreement as they seek to renew it. But, you know, he's saying, look, it's expiring and that's that.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Let's go to the Canadian Prime Minister Carney because he, well, he's a bit of a bore if you can get through, but just play them on, can we play them on speed dial, right? Okay, can we play them at two times the speed? Because this is Carney, and he's saying, you know what, we're going to be forced into this new world order, and we are confident Europe's going to lead that new world order. I don't know what he's smoking. And as the president mentioned a few weeks ago
Starting point is 00:57:01 at the European political community in Yeravan, I was honored to attend, and I said at that meeting, that I believe that the next world order will likely be built out of Europe, and Canada will be part of that effort. Insecurity, as the first non-European member to join SAFE, as the President mentioned, under his leadership, Canada is a key member of the Coalition of Willing to support Ukraine, in critical minerals, working with Minister Luskir, as a reliable supplier to our core European partners. Okay, so, you know, we wish all the luck in the world on the Canada and Europe, saying leading the world.
Starting point is 00:57:48 But I think if you can come to some kind of agreement here, the U.S. trade deficit being a big concern of this president, he doesn't want to be taken in all these, you know, Canadian cars or the Canadian lumber, Canadian energy. He's saying we could do that better here ourselves. so a focus on being a little bit more insular, a little bit more supportive of U.S. industry, but, you know, in exchange, look, if we're going to take your stuff, then maybe you ought to do more in terms of border security, in terms of fentanyl security. These are some of the big issues that have come up as of late. And I think this is why he's saying, hey, well, maybe you should just take them. Like, we'll take responsibility. Canada's a nice place, right? You know, nice people.
Starting point is 00:58:29 We have a lot of Canadians that watch this show, and a lot of you guys are like, heck yeah, you know. let's have a little bit more common sense. It's not a terribly populated area, but it's a tremendous, vast amount of land. And land that is actually very rich in a lot of minerals and, of course, oil. If you go up to Alberta, and I've done some reporting from those Canadian sands up there, the oil sands are just tremendous. I mean, they have so much going for it in terms of those natural resources. So maybe he's looking at this, again, real estate, real estate,
Starting point is 00:59:03 tycoon that he is. Can we build out Canada? You know, might that be a possibility for us? We shall see. I mean, I would just say Canada is kind of making some wrong decisions. I want to go to some of your comments here. Wrong decisions in terms of what they think is the future, right? And they, you know, electing this guy, there you go. I mean, he's almost as bad as Trudeau, who apparently is about to live happily ever after with Katie Perry. We wish them well. We wish them well. Don talking about gold and silver. I actually haven't looked at gold markets today. I actually did actually. What am I saying? I think the market's just been all over the place today, Don, because I was actually looking at it. Typically, I buy when it goes down. So let me just take a
Starting point is 00:59:49 quick look at that and see if that still holds. Actually, gold is down today. Somebody is saying, I don't know if you're firing that at me. I don't disagree. I thought it was actually up earlier, but we didn't talk about it. I do think gold overall has seen quite a rally throughout the last year. The last six months have been a little bit more challenging in light of what we saw coming on interest rates. But I would say, you know, all the more reason to be getting in lower. But you've seen such a rally in gold prices, in part because people over the last year
Starting point is 01:00:23 were concerned about central banks and whether or not, you know, they had their geopolitical autonomy. And so there was a move by international players to be buying up a lot of gold. And so that was very directly related to the geopolitical tension just in the last six months amid this expectation that the Fed is going to be far more stringent, even though we have Kevin Warsh in there, and that you're going to see a possible situation of higher interest rates. That's actually forced gold prices lower, which is why, yep, you know, you're right, down 2.3 percent today. So gold is definitely worth looking at in this, again, for me, this environment. I see somebody talking about Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen.
Starting point is 01:01:07 You want a cage match between those two? That would be kind of funny. I don't know where that came from, maybe because we were talking about Ireland. She's actually doing, Rosie is doing some kind of Broadway show this summer. So she's visiting the home base, US of A, even though she's like sold all her property. Yeah, I've seen some comments on Alberta, you know, is what runs Canada with the oil. they are tired of woke Ontario. We should annex Albert. Okay. All right, there we go. We'll take, we'll take the oil sands and be done with it, right? Anyway, good to have you guys here.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Leslie's saying gold basically flat for the past six months, your futures trader. It's true. Actually, I was just talking with my colleague over at 76 Research this morning about that. We were talking about how it has been somewhat flat. I'm talking about the year prior. That's when it just like soared, right? And so like, you know, So, yeah, we've been kind of flat on gold, but we're down a little bit today. So, you know, whenever it's, like I said, when it's over it's a little bit down, I hold gold for different reasons, though, than most people, I think, and certainly different than a trader.
Starting point is 01:02:10 I hold gold because I see it as a long-term stability factor in my portfolio. And because I like things like tech so much, and I like to be a little bit more adventurous and more aggressive in some of my, you know, if you're going to, that's why I've always said Bitcoin and gold are two totally different vehicles, and if you're going to own Bitcoin, you want to own gold, right, for different reasons. Or if you're going to invest heavily in tech and chip stocks, then, you know, maybe that gold is in your portfolio for other reasons. I mean, I'm talking about gold so much. I don't have an ad in the show for these guys today, but I am going to tell you to go to Trish loves gold and silver since we're having this conversation.
Starting point is 01:02:51 I had planned actually a big story tomorrow because there's a lot of gold that's actually coming out of the U.S. from the Europeans. Europeans really don't like us right now, do they? I mean, heck, we're making them have some responsibility for the first time in their lives, right? So they're like a bunch of little kids that have had their money in mom and dad's account. And now they're like, oh gosh, mom and dad want us to like pay the rent. So if we're going to have to pay the rent, it's our money. Maybe we should take it back. And I think that's why you're seeing.
Starting point is 01:03:29 They're like taking it back. And that's why, if you think about it, you might be seeing those interest rates on Treasury's spike up right now because we have to pay more. We have to incentivize countries to be with us because we're trying to say, hey, you know, you want to have U.S. dollars. And if they're saying we don't really want U.S. dollars and we don't really trust U.S. dollars And we're going to take our gold right out of the New York Federal Reserve Bank and bring it back to Europe, well then, that means we're going to have.
Starting point is 01:04:01 have to kind of make it more worth their while, which is why you're seeing a higher yield there on treasuries today. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I think Kevin's going to be fine. And Kevin's talking about Kevin Warsh over at the Treasuries, forgive me, over at the Federal Reserve, he's talking about how we're going to, how we are going to gin up this economy, right? And I think he's going to be able to. I mean, you're seeing oil come right down. Oil's coming down, down, down, down, down. So as oil plunges and it will plunge some more as we get closer to a real set deal with Iran. As oil comes down, that gives Kevin and the team over at the Fed all the room in the world to actually lower rates. And if they start a lowering rates, well then once again,
Starting point is 01:04:44 you're going to want gold and silver. Okay, Trish loves gold and silver. Go check them out there. It's my friends over at kEPm.com. Tish loves gold and silver.com. Go check them out today. Again, we'll talk about it a little bit more tomorrow and we're going to have a lot to discuss with, of course, Brussels, because that's a big meeting going on, and I want to catch up with you on that. Do me a favor. Make sure that you have subscribed. If you haven't subscribed to this show, really important, tell your friends. It's hard because I know a lot of you have subscribed and you've even said, you know, you sign up for the alerts and then you don't get the alerts. We had a show the other day where we had 0.0% alerts that went out.
Starting point is 01:05:22 So I don't even know if you're always getting the alerts. Just know that I'm usually here sometime around the 3 o'clock hour. check in. We always pin the show to the top of the page. I like to call it the West Coast repeat and I read all your comments on it. So if you have a comment, what do you think? Is this the right move right now? Ladies and gentlemen, is it the right move for G7 to say, enough is enough on immigration? We are going to work to curb illegal immigration. I think that one's kind of a no-brainer, but let me know what you think. And I will be back here with you on the show again tomorrow. See you then.
