AI in the blogging world is such a hot topic still.
And today we have brought on Kinsey Soderbergh to talk about how to be authentic with AI.
This is an episode that is gonna inspire you
and it might even encourage you to start using ChatGPT
in order to just be more efficient
in your blogging business.
So Kenzie, welcome to the Ultimate Blog Podcast.
Hi Amy, hi Jennifer.
Thank you so much for having me on.
I'm so excited to geek out with you guys today.
Yes, well we are excited to do that as well because AI is such a helpful tool once you kind
of shift your mindset that it can be helpful. And I think that that is one of the key pieces
with getting started with AI. But before we kind of dive into that, I would love for you just to
share with our listeners a little bit about who you are Kinsey and like who you serve, who you help.
with our listeners a little bit about who you are Kinsey and like who you serve, who you help.
Yes, well, my name is Kinsey.
Like you said, I've been an entrepreneur
for almost six years now, which still sounds crazy to me.
But I got started doing what everyone else seems to do
in the world, just splatting spaghetti on the wall
and seeing what sticks, trying to do all the things
for everyone, trying to show up online, like all of the successful entrepreneurs I was seeing
and share similar tips and look a similar way.
And honestly, one of my first big lessons that I learned in business
was that I was just exhausting myself trying to be someone else all the time, right?
I literally, I was just like feeling so overwhelmed
just trying to figure out how to show up
that I couldn't show up and serve my people, right?
So one of those big lessons I learned
was to just lean into who I am in my business.
And then that's when my brand Feel Good Social was born.
So Feel Good Social is my OG brand
that I've been building for years. And then
about a year ago, a year and a half ago, I first started hearing about the AI phenomenon. Everyone's
like, you should try chat GPT. I'm like, what is this chat GPT thing, side-eyeing it and whatnot.
And I'll be honest, when I first heard about AI tools, I was a total curmudgeon about it. I like
to compare myself to like Mr. Wilson
from Dennis the Menace,
like shaking my fist at the neighbor's fence.
Isn't the internet fake enough already?
What is this going to do to our creativity
or critical thinking skills?
I was a total grump about AI.
And then I was just kind of like hearing about it.
And I was on a long drive
and I had one of those long drive realizations
where I realized that AI tools are here and instead of turning away from them and being
like no, I should instead probably turn toward them and get curious about okay, how can we
make these tools work for us in a way that aligns with us, right?
Because that was honestly one of my biggest concerns with AI is like authenticity,
just because it's been one of those things that's been so built into my brand from the get-go.
And I didn't want people to sacrifice their uniqueness for like AI tools that could turn them into generic robots, right?
And that just like makes my soul cringe whenever I think about it.
So instead, I started just working with these tools,
literally getting my hands dirty,
testing and trying different things.
And I did find honestly AI tools,
when you use them with a human first approach,
which is what I teach now,
they truly can save you so much time.
They can honestly save you so much creative drain
and energy, which I can speak to because I literally did the nerdy math of how much time I've been saving in the past year
But and we can show those numbers on the side because they're crazy
But literally I found out AI can actually like expand our creativity
It can help us blast through those daily stuck moments
You know and you do not have to sacrifice your authenticity or quality of work.
You can use them just going a few extra steps
of training these tools or making sure
that you're tweaking them to keep them in alignment
with your brand.
You can use them in so many crazy ways.
It's so awesome.
So now I'm like an AI convert and that's fine,
but I'm willing to share with you guys
all about what I've learned.
Yeah, we can totally relate to this because Amy and I had this funny conversation a couple
years ago when we were at a conference and there was going to be a session about using
AI and I was like, yeah, I am not going to that. Like that is ridiculous. We are having
nothing to do with that. That is just going to ruin blogging altogether.
I cannot even believe this.
And Amy's like,
no, I think I'm just gonna go hear what they have to say.
And she came back and she's,
hey, this isn't what you think it is.
And over these last couple of years,
I've come to really embrace using it
in certain ways in our business.
And it's not like that initial thing that you think it is.
I think that a lot of us, especially as bloggers,
we're all like, well, everybody's just gonna use it
to write their blog posts,
and then we're just gonna have this poor quality content
out there and it's gonna ruin everything.
And that really hasn't,
I mean, there's people that obviously do that, but I think people are smarter than that,
and people are using it in different ways, and it can, like you said, be really helpful.
So let's dive in and talk a little bit about what it really looks like to use AI in your business,
and what are some of the unexpected ways that you've been able to use it to do things
that save you time and all of that?
Oh man, I know, yeah, it's so crazy
because there are literally so many different things
that you could use AI tools for.
And I do realize, I think that sometimes
there's two camps of people.
There's the people who they start using AI tools
and then they're like, oh my gosh, this is crazy. And they end up going down like an AI rabbit hole and getting sucked
into it and not being very productive in their business, which is what they were going for.
Or there could be the people who like all of a sudden realize, oh my gosh, AI can do so much for
me. And then they kind of turn into a deer in headlights and they're like, nevermind, I'll come
back to this later.
Cause like it can be like overwhelming, right?
So I guess when it comes to using AI in your business,
there's so many different things that you can use it for.
There's content creation, of course,
copywriting, of course,
but there's also just like backend stuff,
like creating SOPs or analyzing your data in a spreadsheet
or even doing tech troubleshooting for your website
or your email list, right?
There's so many different things.
So when it comes to starting to integrate AI tools
into your business,
I like to think about the two different types of tasks
that you have in your business on a regular basis, right?
Firstly, you have your systems and workflows
that you already have established in your business.
So for me, that looks like content creation,
it looks like podcast editing,
just different things like that.
And take a look at your workflows
that you already have established
and get curious about what points in this workflow
could AI potentially speed up the process
or help me do the things that I hate doing or just kind of make it a repeatable process that makes it super
easy. So for me for example my podcast show notes you guys might realize this
as like the podcasters yourself I still edit my own episodes I worked with
editors in the past but with AI tools I was like I gotta get curious about this
too so anyway put more work on myself it It's fine. But I, I, when
I get to the end of editing my podcast episodes, man, I'm like, I don't want to even think
I'm sick of my own voice. I'm like, I don't even know what was like cool that we talked
about in those conversations. So like AI has completely helped me like write my podcast
show notes again, again, in a repeatable process. And also too, you know, I have a specific way I like to write podcast show notes.
I use like the star emoji instead of like bullet points.
So I've trained my AI assistant on like specifically my way of writing show notes,
and it's been so helpful.
So anyway, coming back to like your systems and workflows,
just get curious about the steps where it might be able to speed up the process in your workflows
and integrate those into your systems to get started. And then the
second type of task I always like to talk about is the thing that people don't
always think about, but it is so, so helpful, especially I know from just like
saving time on a regular basis. And that's those daily moments in your
business when you're working along and all of a sudden you get stuck on something.
It's like you're writing a caption and you're like, I don't know how to finish this thing.
And then you like waste 10 minutes trying to bang your head against the wall.
Be like, what do I, where do I go from here?
Right.
And like the captions mostly done, but like you can't finish it.
Right.
Well, if you go to chat, GPT and you're like, help me finish this thing, it'll finish it
in two seconds.
And that's 10 minutes that you haven't just wasted
your time, right?
Same thing with, I was creating like a sales page
on my website and I wanted to add a countdown timer
to my Squarespace website.
And I didn't want to pay for anything.
I was like, I'm sure there's coding
that I could put in here.
And I could have before gone down
like a Squarespace tech forum rabbit hole, which I hate trying to find the answer
if I'm looking for on tech forums, right?
I was like, maybe Chachi BT can help me with this.
So I went to Chachi BT.
It literally helped me write the code in five minutes.
And I'll be honest to you, the first code
that it threw my way wasn't correct,
but it like told me where to put it in my Squarespace
website.
And then I was like, this isn't working.
It's like, Oh, try this.
And then it got it right.
Little tech troubleshooting things are awesome too.
And the thing too is that when you train yourself to, as you're working through your day to
day, go to chat, GPT, you blast through those stuck moments where you're just wasting time in your day to day.
And literally all that time saved adds up by simply not wasting it.
And then last thing I like to add to this is, okay, when I first started using AI tools,
I knew that I could go to chat GPT for these things, but I hadn't trained myself to do
it right.
I would forget to go to the chat GPT and ask it if it can help me.
So I did something super techie guys. I on a sticky note wrote down, can chat GPT help me with
this? And I stuck that sticky note next to my computer screen. So then as I was like working
along my day to day, I didn't get stuck. I'd roll my eyes and like I'd see the sticky note next to
me like, hmm, could
ChatGPT help me with this?
So that's how I trained myself to start using ChatGPT more.
I think that's kind of a genius idea because it's kind of like bringing on an assistant,
essentially.
And when you're used to being in this business by yourself and figuring out everything by
yourself for the most part.
A lot of us are working at home
and we don't have somebody like a coworker
who we can ask all these questions to.
And so having that reminder to kind of like train your brain,
like, hey, you have another resource
that you can utilize here.
I think that's actually kind of a genius idea.
So let's kind of talk about chat GPT
because anybody who's listening,
maybe they haven't implemented AI at all.
And maybe one of the reasons is because they're afraid
of this inauthenticity.
And I think that that's a big mindset shift.
That's one that we had to kind of push through,
to be honest, was this big idea that if you use AI,
you're no longer going to be authentic.
And so you use chat GPT. That's what we use as well
when we use AI in our own business. And so can you just kind of break that down? Like for the very
brand new beginner, okay, I want to maybe start incorporating a few different AI processes in my
business. Where do they start? Yes, yes, yes. Okay. So here's the thing that a lot of people
Yes, yes, yes. Okay, so here's the thing that a lot of people don't realize
is that your AI assistant isn't know-all be-all.
You still need to train it,
tell it all the things that it needs to know
about your brand and also about the tasks
that you want it to do in order for it to be able
to do the best work for you, right?
So training your AI assistant is so, so key
to really getting the answers that you want from the get-go.
Cause we've all been there where we're like,
go to our AI assistant, we're like,
write me a social media caption.
And it throws you back something that's super cheesy.
You're like, cut back the cheese.
And then it like, it was overly professional.
And you're like, oh no.
And you go back and forth and you waste so much time.
You're like, I think I could have just done this faster
if I just did it myself, right?
Like I've been there.
I know everyone has it's so frustrating.
So instead, if you train it on your brand first,
and I have a brand blueprint method that I love
and I swear by for doing this.
And also if you make sure that you are telling it
everything that needs to know about the task
that you want it to do.
And also thinking about bringing your own thoughts, ideas, opinions
to these tools first, telling it all that and then being like, write me a caption, write
me a blog post.
That's how you get the best results.
And I call it a human first approach, right?
When you're bringing your own beliefs, opinions, angles on a topic to the tools instead of saying,
write me a social media caption
about social media marketing tips.
You're like, write me a social media caption
about creating a real, here are my specific tips,
this is my brand's approach.
Like my brand Feel Good Social,
we take what we call an eye roll approach to social media
where we're kind of like going against the grain a little bit with following the trends
and hashtags and stuff.
I'm like, who really cares?
Let's show up in a way that's like a little softer,
more aligned with you.
That's people's approach to social media marketing.
If I would go to shoutgbt and be like,
write me a caption about social media marketing
and not tell it that,
it would come back with tips that don't align with my brand. But when I tell it, this is my approach to social media marketing and not tell it that, it would come back with tips that don't align with my brand.
But when I tell it,
this is my approach to social media marketing,
please help me write a caption,
then it understands where I'm coming from.
And it can write a caption that feels so much more aligned
from the get-go, right?
So taking that approach to your AI tools,
and one of the things I love to do,
a little mindset shift that I do for myself
when I'm communicating with the tool,
is instead of thinking about it like a robot, think about it as like a human, right?
And it sounds so weird, but guys, I do it, so like don't feel ashamed, you can do it too.
But like thinking about it as this is my new human intern,
what do I need to tell this human intern so that it can do the best work for me, right? If you think about a human intern walking in first day
of the job and you're like, write me a social media caption and like you
haven't told it anything about your brand, your strategy, your ideal customer,
they would try to do a good job for you but it'd probably be a pretty crappy
caption, right? But instead if you train them, it's better, right? So think about it as that human assistant.
I also use my ChatGBT as a business coach often,
and I'll think about it as a business coach.
Speak to it, converse with it like that.
I will, this is so dorky, you guys,
but I'll also use ChatGBT as a mindset coach often.
I'll have it help me work through my trigger moments
in my day- day or like give
me pep talks before something scary and I'll talk to it like my mindset coach too, right?
Or like a best friend even. So just thinking about that is super helpful too.
Yeah. So when you're using that out of curiosity, so you've kind of shared different buckets
in your business essentially that you can use AI, you can go to ChatGPT
and give it different prompts
and have it give you some information.
So when you go to ChatGPT,
then do you keep that all on the same thread
or do you have multiple different threads that you use
in order to get some of these answers back?
Yeah, okay.
It just kind of depends, right?
So it depends on your workflow
and how you work in the best way.
When you're just starting out, don't worry about starting different windows
for different topics or anything like that.
But it is a good idea to have like different threads for different tasks
in your business if you want, because then you don't have to repeat yourself
as far as like training it, right?
So for my podcast workflow, I've trained one specific window.
And actually it's a custom GBT, which you can get into later, So for my podcast workflow, I've trained one specific window.
And actually it's a custom GBT, which we can get into later, but like I've trained one
window on my podcast show notes format.
Right?
So like my social media caption writing chat window doesn't really need to know my podcast
show notes format.
Right?
So like thinking about the different windows and like what your chat GBT needs to be trained on, that can help you separate the different windows and what your chat GPT needs to be trained on, that
can help you separate the different windows.
And I will say though too, there's some things that every chat GPT window needs to know beforehand
in order to do the best work for your business possible.
And that's your brand strategy, your entire brand strategy, your foundation.
And so actually I've created a brand blueprint method for like repeatedly training new chat
windows on like my brand foundation in like one click in 10 seconds.
Then I train every new chat window on my brand that is for my business.
And then from there, I'll train it on my podcast show notes format or my caption writing strategy
and things like that.
You know what I mean?
So it's a way to kind of filter your thoughts
and filter the different places that you're focusing on
within your business, whether it be feel good social
or authentic AI.
It's a way just to kind of make sure
that it's all in alignment.
But then when you need to go in there
and work on a specific workflow or task,
you can go to that specific window
and get what you need from there.
Yes, yes.
And I have different windows for each of my content clients and stuff too, right?
It's the repeatable processes every day and stuff.
Okay, so Kinsey, when you have these different windows then, and like you've said, you kind
of feed it information about your brand, the information I feel like is one component of
that.
But then we all kind of have our own voice.
We all have a way that we can tell like,
this is so-and-so talking here.
Is there a way to kind of train AI
that it can sound like you to where
you're not writing a caption and you're like,
well, I actually don't sound anything like that.
And that wouldn't sound like anything
I would actually send out or anything like that.
So is there a way to kind of train it
in order to use words that you might use
or verbiage
or things like that? Can you use AI in that way? Oh, completely. And I'm about to geek out guys
because I get so nerdy. I'm a self-proclaimed word nerd. And so whatever any other word nerds are like,
really? ChatGPT can sound like you. I'm like, I swear, I swear it can. So the way that I have found to train ChatGPT on your brand,
you can either do it kind of easy, quick,
or you could do it like deep dive, which I totally recommend,
cause that's how you get the best results.
But even if you start a new chat window and you just brain dump into that window,
just like anything about your brand in one minute, like this
is who I am.
Here's our ideal customers.
This is who we help.
This is what we do.
Like that will already get you better results with stretchy beauty from the get go.
Right.
So please, if anything, take a little time to do that.
But if you want to get it super nerdy with it and super repeatable with it, I use what
I call the brand blueprint. So literally
what I've done is outline the five core strategies of my brand into one single
document. My brand blueprint is 80 pages. I don't want to scare you. A lot of my
students are like 150 pages. But you guys, Chachi PT can help you write this
brand blueprint for your brand. So you can write this like small book for your brand
in four hours is the average.
You know that it takes people because we go through
and we make sure our brand blueprints are really aligned
with our brands, right?
But literally outlining the five core strategies.
The five core strategies that I like to outline
are firstly your brand's identity, who your brand is,
mission, vision, values, opinions, beliefs,
like that sort of thing, right?
Also your ideal customers
So who are you speaking to and this is going deeper than the psychographics or even the demographics?
It's the pain points the desires who your brand is to these people how you help them, right?
Then outlining your brand voice and writing style.
So I have two different methods for this,
depending on if you already have a defined brand voice
and writing style, one of the easiest ways
to get ChatGPT to analyze your brand voice
is to feed it copy that you've already written
and have it like look and analyze the copy.
And then it can fairly easily replicate it actually.
But it's going deeper than like write in a friendly tone.
Right?
It's analyzing your humor style, your formatting style,
your emoji usage, you know, your small nuances
that you add to your writing to really give it personality.
Chat GPT can analyze all of that
and then create a writing profile.
And also in your brand blueprint,
I actually include examples of writing that I've done
so that Chad GPT can reference it again and again
and be like, oh yeah, this is Kinsey's brand voice, right?
Because man, that is one of the most important things
because we all know the AI tropes that's like automatically,
yep, written by AI copy out there, right?
So anyway, your brand voice and writing style, deep diving into that is so helpful.
And then the other two strategies that I like to include in the brand blueprint are your offer suite.
So that ChatGPD can understand from your freebies all the way up through your
paid offers, like your entire offer suite, and then it can strategize for you.
Whether that's helping you map out a campaign or a launch,
or even just writing a social media caption where you can be like,
please naturally lead this to a CTA for my free Reels brought playbook.
All I have to do is say that and then Chad GPT understands and can
naturally write a caption that goes to that as a call to action.
Understanding your offer suite is really important.
And then I also like to include messaging
because ChatGPT needs to know like the message
that you want to spread, what you talk about often.
And also in the messaging is your own brand storytelling.
And that's really, really unique to you.
And ChatGPT can understand, oh, these are her stories.
This is her origin story.
These are the lessons that she's learned.
And integrate that into whatever you have it do for you as well, right? So like understanding
those five core strategies, outlining them in one single document. I use a Google Doc template that
I share with my students, but once you have this all outlined, literally you can use the file upload
feature to one click, upload your brand blueprint document, chat GPT can read this
80 page document in 10 seconds, and then it can understand everything about your brand from the
get go, right? And really respond in a way that feels like, oh my gosh, this is my digital mini
me, right? And so that's what I recommend people do because this process then is super repeatable
and easy for like new chat windows
and like for sharing with your team members right so that's what i recommend guys and i swear the
difference and results are like night and day it's awesome. Hey ultimate blog podcast listeners,

It's time to redefine success and make your blog shine.
It almost feels like you're able to hire this professional consultant for your business
that you would normally have to pay all kinds of money for.
But if you take a little time and give it a little information, it's going to be incredibly
helpful.
Like I'm just thinking of ways that we haven't even began to use it yet.
You could get some help with some strategy if you're having trouble making a sale on
one of your products or anything like that.
You can get some good ideas.
But one question I would have is if you're using it
to ask some of these big important questions,
how do you know you're getting good information back from it?
What are some ways to verify, to feel comfortable
that you're not just taking it at its word
and then you're putting out information
and then you're like, oh gosh, I didn't even verify that.
Yeah. Yes.
Oh, I'm so glad you bring this up too, because it's so true.
Like when you first start using these tools, you're like, oh, they know everything.
They've access to the entire internet, right?
That's not always the case.
These tools can totally be wrong.
Like factually there's been, there's like this story about a lawyer using chat
GPT for
like his I don't know deposition or whatever it is and like totally
including fake news kind of like chat GPT made up something and the lawyer I
don't even know what happened to him well like okay guys when it comes to
facts make sure that you're fact-checking chat GPT I will say that
over the past year chat GPT has become way better at
fact checking itself and or like accessing the internet on a regular basis to like make
sure things are aligned and true. However, don't fully trust your AI assistant when it
comes to the facts, especially. But then also remember that like AI might be dishing up
ideas for you that aren't aligned with your brand, right?
And so that's why I like to,
honestly, the way I think about it is
I don't expect AI to do all the work for me.
I think of it as a collaborative assistant
that I can use to help me get the work done along the way,
the work I would have already been doing
just a little bit more quickly, right?
And so I'm not gonna go to strategy PD and be like, write me an Instagram caption.
I'm going to go to Chachi PT and be like, write me an Instagram caption about this already
trained on my brand.
It gives me back something.
But at the end too, I'm always making sure that I'm reading through the caption.
I'm making sure I'm making tweaks, you know, if I need to, to make it sure that it's like
on brand for me. And also too, like, uh, usually I'm using chat GBT with information that I can
already verify for myself or think about, is this my brand's approach to this?
And then if it's not, I'll tell chat GBT actually no, and then it'll give
me something back that's better.
But if I'm using it for facts that I might not know, definitely,
usually I go to Google. I mean,
probably I could ask ChatGPT to verify for me. And you can, you can be like, please verify this on
the internet. Give me a source, you know, that you're using or something. And it can do that.
But I don't know. Still, I usually go to Google because I'm a millennial. But you, I would verify
it myself. And then also just realizing too that chat GPT is not great with numbers. So
if it's doing any math for you, it is once again getting better, but like I still don't
trust it. So like if it's doing any math for you, just try to like do the math yourself,
like also double check it and or like years, you know, like I've been as we're recording
this and we just came into 2025. I was doing tons of workshops for reflecting on 2024,
and then create your brand vision board for 2025,
that sort of thing.
ChachiBT could not get the date right.
It still doesn't get the year right.
It's still saying 2024 to me.
I'm like, okay, let's change it to 2025,
little manual things.
But when it comes to fact checking ChachiBT,
just make sure that you have something in process,
whether that's Googling.
There is an AI tool that's supposed to be better
with the facts perplexity AI.
I've heard good things about it.
I haven't tried it, but yeah,
I definitely just always recommend to like,
add that to your AI workflow.
Double check gets work because you don't wanna be
that lawyer who like totally got embarrassed on the stand. You know? I think that's what keeps it authentic though.
Like you've said this entire episode, like this is supposed to be an assistant. It's
not supposed to be just done for you. So you should be checking anything that you're, any
prompts that you're asking and then the information coming back. This, this should not just be
like a copy paste in any capacity.
Let it be kind of like that trigger to create the content,
to write the email, to get some juices flowing
in regards to maybe the product or service
that you're wanting to offer
or the blog post that you're wanting to write.
You kind of use it as the bones,
but then you can change it
to make sure it's truly in alignment and authentic.
And I think that that's really what I want people to get from this episode is that use it as that
assistant, as that collaborating person, not really a person, but you know what I mean,
but use it in a way that is going to feel authentic and is going to feel good in your business.
You don't want to be putting things out that somebody then later asks you,
oh, I loved that.
And you're like, I don't have a clue what you're talking about because I just
copied pasted it.
Like that's not what we're going for.
But I do think bloggers wear so many hats and it's okay to use a product like
this or service like this to kind of ask yourself, okay, all of these tasks need
to be done.
to kind of ask yourself, okay, all of these tasks need to be done.
And sometimes there is that space for the, I don't want to call it white space, but it is a little bit of white space that we need for creativity.
Using AI in some of these capacities can allow that, that creativity to flow a
little better if you're like stuck.
Like if you've been working all day and you need to get an Instagram
caption out or whatever, it is helpful, quite honestly, to just be like, hey, help me with this.
I use it for emails a lot.
Just, okay, help me get started.
This is what I want to write an email about.
This is what I want to say.
Help me get started here.
And it can kind of take you from that space of like, what do I write about?
I don't know what I'm doing.
What am I supposed to say?
And it can give some of that back to where you're like, all right, got it. I just needed like a starting point for somebody just to
give me like a little bit of juice to get started. So I think that using it in the way that you're
sharing Kinsey is really, really important. Like we've kind of alluded to, there's a lot of wrong
ways that we can do AI, but I think there's a lot of like really authentic ways that we we can use AI too. And, and that's what we hope
that you've gained from this. But before we let Kenzie go, I
know there's something that she's really passionate about.
And that's women specifically using AI, and kind of why aren't
we using it? And what's your what's your call to action here
for any woman who's listening who maybe hasn't started using
AI yet?
Yes, yes. Thank you. Thank you for asking me this and allowing me to share because for sure
This is one of those things that it was actually brought to my attention by dr
Nikki Sweeney out of Australia and she just recently did the TED talk on this and she shared it with me on my podcast
I was like, oh I I gotta tell everyone. So long story short, there have been studies done that men are two times more likely to
use the top 50 AI tools than women.
AI tools have been proven to boost your productivity by up to 40%.
That's like working two extra days per week, right?
So if you think about men using AI tools more than women, this is an issue because if you think about men using AI tools more than women,
this is an issue because if you think about in the workplace
and whatnot, if more men are using more AI tools than women
and being more productive, getting more done,
then who's more likely to get that raise,
who's more likely to get that promotion?
The gender income gap is going to drastically increase
instead of decrease like we've been really working at
for years now.
And then it's also an issue because at this point, AI tools are actually trained by the
user.
So anything that the users are putting into these tools, AI tools are using that to train
future models.
So if more men are using AI tools than women, then AI tools are going to get more and more
pro-y and that just hurts my soul.
You guys, these tools need our feminine energy.
So we need to be putting ourselves into these tools as like a way to make sure that we're
represented in the future models, right?
So one of the things though that really, really gets me, and this is like why I'm so fired up about it,
is not just like that more men are using AI tools than women,
it's why, right?
So if you think about it, I mean,
the culture we've been raised in, you know,
women aren't always welcome into STEM subjects.
We've kind of been raised to feel like less techie
than men in general.
So it's like a cultural thing for sure.
But I still remember the first time
I was like being interviewed on another woman's podcast
about AI and she looked at me and she was like,
so what do you say to the women who feel guilty
for using these tools, who feel like they're cutting corners
or they're not doing the work, right?
And I was like, yes, this is a thing.
It's a thing.
Because yeah, if you think about it, I mean, the way we've been raised in our society culturally,
women have to work harder in order to be respected.
We have to show that we are working hard in order to be worth the success that we see.
And also we have to be more concerned about authenticity, and because we're more likely
to be judged, you know, we show up in an inauthentic way or feel like we're cutting corners. And, you
know, it's just one of those cultural things society has put on us where it's okay, well,
when our counterparts use these tools, it might be more thought of as like productive or delegating,
right? Or innovative. And when women use AI tools, like maybe we think of ourselves as we're cutting corners
or like, am I cheating?
Am I not doing the work?
Am I gonna be judged for this?
And so it's one of those shifts
I think we need to make internally as women first
is to realize that these are tools
that can help us to boost our productivity.
We can use them as a collaborator, as a creative partner
to get our work done more quickly.
And you don't have to sacrifice your authenticity or quality of work, believe me, the way I
use the tools, I don't think I'm sacrificing quality at all.
And the other thing I want to point out too is that when you use these tools, like yes,
you can see more success.
Yes, you can get more done more quickly.
I saved on an average 15 hours a week last year.
And that sounds crazy, but it's true
because I look back in 2024 and as a solopreneur,
I managed six clients at a time.
I put out like seven new courses and workshops.
I like grew my, I did all these things.
I'm like looking back, I'm like, this is crazy.
Like how much I was able to do.
But on top of that, I did not go through burnout last year.
I did not feel creatively drained
that I can still feel in my body I used to feel
when I was managing six clients as a solopreneur.
Just like loving it, wanting to be able to create content
for all these different people,
but also just like feeling my creativity draining
and like having to take rest days and stuff.
AI was able to help me carry that load.
And then on top of that,
it helped me find wiggle room behind the scenes
to enjoy my life.
Like I picked up new hobbies, like crafting.
I create like bead jewelry now,
shut my computer an hour early every day
and then go bead and listen to podcasts.
Who, like, before I was like working until 7 p.m.
and my husband would have to like force me
to shut down my computer, you know?
And like now I've actually like found wiggle room
to enjoy my life, whether that's like
spending time with your family,
going and doing things that you love to do.
Like AI tools can really help us in so many different ways
and like we don't need to feel guilty about it. If anything, women deserve AI tools can really help us in so many different ways and we don't need to feel guilty about
it.
If anything, women deserve AI tools.
I love that you shared that.
I think that I needed to hear that.
I'm sure somebody listening needed to hear that.
I think the guilt is a very real thing for a lot of us in a lot of different parts of
our life.
And so I just love that you just had some airtime for that. Because I think that that's an important encouragement
and mindset shift for the women listening,
that you're not cutting corners, you're not cheating.
Like you can create this space and use this tool
in order to just do your job better
and allow yourself to feel more creative and fulfilled.
And that's okay to feel that way in your job.
Like you should feel like that.
Like we are creatives doing this. And so it's okay to feel that way in your job. You should feel like that. We are creatives doing this,
and so it's okay to want to feel like that.
So thank you, Kinsey, for sharing that
and for sharing all of your knowledge about AI.
I would love it if you could please let people know
how they can connect with you,
and especially about your brand blueprint method.
I think that that is genius.
I think it's genius for a lot of different reasons.
I think as a blogger especially, that method would be really awesome just to truly understand
who you're talking to and how you're going to create content.
So I think that that alone could serve bloggers in so many different ways.
Yes.
Oh my gosh.
Thank you so much for having me guys.
I've had so much fun.
Yeah.
You can find me at my website is DIYwith.ai.
