Starting point is 00:00:53 BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. You're crazy. What's going on, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of the Vile Files. I thought you were going to say exciting. Where are the harmonics? You usually throw in an exciting episode. Yeah, sometimes I mix it up.
Starting point is 00:01:25 But like you really got in my head. Sorry. Yeah. Sorry. That wasn't. I got a wild hair up my ass and felt the need to participate. I hope you all having a great day today wherever you are and however you are listening to us. We have a fantastic episode lined up for you today.
Starting point is 00:01:42 First and foremost, we got a couple exciting premieres dancing with the stars kicked off last night as well as, well, I think many of us. But my favorite real housewives franchise, the Salt Lake City Gals. I feel like it must be everyone. It is exceptional television. It's just from beginning to end, from their intros to everything, it's just, I'm always as locked in. And I can't say the same about the rest. But Nina Parker returns to the show to talk with us, all things. Bravo, the premiere of Salt Lake City, the hilarious fun Nina Parker joins us.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Also, Ben Higgins, your favorite bachelor of all time, you know. Leo, what's funny? Just Nick. You know, him and Joey, you know, God love him. Anyways, he joins us. He's new into fatherhood. He is re-releasing his book. Also, with the announcement of Taylor, Frankie Paul,
Starting point is 00:02:36 I'm sure he has some things to say. Who season was he on? He was on Kaylin's with me. He famously told Jojo and... Jojo and... Oh my God. Who did he end up with? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Married Lauren. Lauren. Yes, he told them both that he loved them. He was the first one to profess the double love. Oh. But he definitely did it with more tact than Clayton. I think he just got away with it because of his face. Probably, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I would have forgiven him too. Anyways, they are all with us. Exciting news, guys. We are one week away from Nally and I going up to the lake since the first time since Christmas. We haven't been up there. In between that time and this time, we rebuilt the entire house. Grander, bigger, better, boulder. in the spirit of my grandfather's house
Starting point is 00:03:29 that he built, but it is very exciting. I know many of you have followed along some of the posts that we've made throughout the years. Certainly, Nali's done a much better job of me of sharing some of the aesthetics, but it's very exciting. Very exciting.
Starting point is 00:03:42 You guys will have to do like some sort of video of the whole place to show everyone, or at least me. Oh, yeah, well, definitely show. We're definitely going to try. Yeah, we'll show you guys. I mean, we're not sure when we'll show the masses, the house, because, you know, we're not, we're not sure if we'll do something exciting, cool, and fun,
Starting point is 00:03:59 and very fancy, or we'll just show it on our social, to be determined. But I essentially came up with, like, the layout of the house, the architecture, if you will, in my head. Certainly, I wasn't not the designer of the layout, someone who with a bit of a architectural background did that. But it was based off my vision. And then Natalie really was the main, in terms of aesthetic designer, picking out, like, countertops and the cabinets. And all the like, the idiot, intro, the small stuff, whatever.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I don't know what do you, how do you? What were you trying to say? Intricacies. Intricacies. Intricacies. Intricacies. Thank you, Justin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Thank you. Intricacies. Intricacies. That's the next thing you'll have to learn in your speech class. In speech class. Yeah. Intricacies. How is my guest bedroom going?
Starting point is 00:04:48 Well, currently right now they're, you know, I think it's pretty ready. They need a clean. You know, they got to do a big, deep clean, get all. dust out of there. And then we, when we're there, you know, Nick's dad called me yesterday and was like, so just so you know, like, it's not going to be moving ready, you know, like, I won't have your bed made. I was like, I'm expecting us to like unpack some boxes and build some furniture. But what do you mean our bed won't be made? We don't even have sheets there. So what you're saying is Justin, Justin doesn't have a bed yet. It feels really surreal.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Like, honestly, it's one of them. I mean, they did it in nine months, which is, you know, that's fast. That's really fast. For a rebuild is crazy That's crazy And the whole time We were always like This is going to be pushed This is going to be pushed
Starting point is 00:05:32 It's been pushed Only like a couple weeks though But it always gets pushed Like they never But I was expecting it to I was like If we're there by Christmas Like I'm shocked
Starting point is 00:05:41 And we'll be there before next birthday So Which by the way guys His birthday gift I got it the other day Did you? Guys What is it?
Starting point is 00:05:49 Tell us genius First of all Everyone around me And the store was like This is so amazing. Wow. So it's from a store. Nick, close your ears.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Well, it would have to be from a store. Yeah, Nick, take your headphones off for a second. Take your headphones off. Go in the other room. I want to know what it is. But then I'm telling everyone listening to and there's someone's going to DM and what it is. Yeah, someone's going to be an asshole.
Starting point is 00:06:11 No, I don't think we should trust the masses. You'll find out somewhere. There are a lot of people who hate us who listen to the show. Yeah. Someone will, like, show up to our front door just to tell Nick what his gift is. Yeah. Yeah. But it's really good.
Starting point is 00:06:24 And, like, I'm excited to, I'm excited to see what it is. Tears. Tears. I have to cry. Yeah. You're not going to have to cry. You're going to cry just because it's like so good. Yeah, you're an actor.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Aren't you good at crying on demand? Isn't that like one of your, like, hidden talents? I can. It's possible. I'm not, it takes energy. Didn't you do that your entire Bachelor career? No. I did it.
Starting point is 00:06:52 As the Bachelor, yes. almost the entire time. Faye cried. I gave him a cup of water and a straw for a promo we shot, but I won't spoil which one it is. Oh my God. But he didn't need it.
Starting point is 00:07:04 He could do it on his own? Yeah, that was just a backup plan, but we didn't end up using it. Did he cry? When was this? For what? You remember. I don't.
Starting point is 00:07:13 I don't remember much. I don't remember much. I don't remember which one it was either. Okay, guys. If you haven't listened to yesterday's Going Deeper episode with Jesse James Decker and her husband, Eric Decker, you are definitely going to want to check it out.
Starting point is 00:07:28 What a beautiful couple. So much fun to get to know them. It's fun to just like pick their brain. Obviously they have four kids like from 11 to 19 months and it was just so interesting to pick their brains on parenthood. Which is how they met. It's just a very cute story. It was very like double date with Nellie and I, you know, just, you know, just think
Starting point is 00:07:45 the world needs to hear more about, you know, families coming together, whoever your family is, whether it's your chosen family or immediate family. And just like, you know, I think we're at a time where we're at a time where we're We need to surround ourselves, get off our phones, get into our communities, connect with the people that we have in our lives. It was just a great conversation with Jesse and Eric. And I felt, you know, I just, if you want to feel good about the world, I promise you you'll feel a little uplifted from listening to that episode.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Also, Lisa Trager joined us for Reality Recap on Tuesday, as well as Cole Walzer. You know him as the glam bot guy at every major red carpet. but he's certainly had some fun stories to share about all the cool celebrities he's been able to shoot over the years. He was at the Emmys. So if you want to check that out, be sure to do so as well.
Starting point is 00:08:32 I was going to say, do you know what else? It's super uplifting to watch right now? Literally or figuratively? Dancing with the stars? Literally and figuratively. They get lifted up. That premiered last night.
Starting point is 00:08:43 It's a fun cast. You got Whitney and Jen from the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. You got Dylan Ephron. it's a real it's a real file files lineup you know real friend of show heavy real FOS heavy for sure very FOS
Starting point is 00:09:01 do you guys know what I've always wanted but have never gotten in my entire life an orgasm oh my god that was a nice to be lifted into the air while dancing oh my God same
Starting point is 00:09:15 why don't I get that in my life honestly guys Nick picked me up the other day. And I was, not that I was just like nervous that he would drop me, but I definitely was like so in my head and so self-conscious about just like, am I heavy that I don't ever want to be lifted again. Yeah. You know, like I don't need that sense of anxiety. No, that's fair. That's fair. That's fair. I feel like to be, you, when you are lifted, you want the person lifting you to be like you were not heavy at all. It was like lifting a feather. Have you been lifted, you know? No. But that's my dream.
Starting point is 00:09:50 What is your obsession with, I don't, why do you want to be lifted? It, you know, like. For the whole purpose of feeling light and feathery? Yeah. Yes. Probably. You know what? Like, why?
Starting point is 00:09:59 Why has society made you feel like that's necessary, ladies? Well, we can get into that, but I don't think we should. Yeah, I feel like that's getting a little dark for sure. Yeah. No, no, no, no, no. How long do you have? You need to have some, you need to open that camera arms. You need to have some, like, a strong base, you know?
Starting point is 00:10:15 Like, it's really. We want our women built like farmers. So are you saying I just haven't, like, met a, strong enough bass? You're saying Danny's not a strong base? I don't know. Are you saying you're not a strong enough base for Natalie? Yeah. I carried her ass half a mile once. Well, with lots of breaks in between. I need to hear this story. Lots of breaks. It was leaving stage coach and my feet hurt and he had to carry me on his back, but there were so many breaks. Yeah. Which, I guess. Patrick Swayze never took breaks in dirty dancing. You know, I think it's good to have a strong base, you know. Which one
Starting point is 00:10:50 of us is the strong base. You or me. Both of us. He's taken it more on the like emotional level. You guys together are one strong base. We're so mentally strong bases together. Fuck the emotional strong base. I want a physical strong base who can
Starting point is 00:11:08 lift me in the air and not look like it hurts. Yeah. They can be toxic as long as they can lift. I don't know. Listen, I mean, to each their own. Anyway, dancing with the stars. There was a lot of really good lifts on this first episode and I love to see it. It's my favorite part, clearly. I thought Whitney did a really good job. She did not have a lift and I have to say she did good like dancing wise. I think she's a very talented dancer. I think what I'm looking for as a judger, obviously I'm voting and I'm looking
Starting point is 00:11:40 for lifts. I'm looking to be entertained. I'm looking for the wow moment. I'm looking for the spins and and the tosses along the floor and like that's what I need to see and although Whitney was like very like it looked like high score because she was a great dancer like arms elbows were elevated she did she won the highest score of the night I just I'm excited to see her in a more like more complex choreo yes and I do have to say I think the women are much more talented with the choreo. Mm-hmm. Like, I think Whitney...
Starting point is 00:12:17 Yeah. The women pros. For the pros, yeah. You're talking shit about Mark Ballas. Well, not talking shit about him. I just think, like, Whitney Carson may be, like, my favorite choreographer. Mm-hmm. Her and Robert Irwin, I mean, crushed. She did.
Starting point is 00:12:30 I think he will be a finalist. Mm-hmm. Whitney final. Obsessed. Yeah. Obsessed. Yeah. How did we feel about Dylan?
Starting point is 00:12:36 I mean, he's also just very pretty to look at. Yeah. So much of dancing is just charm. I think... We need a rip off the shirt for Dylan. I think... I think he wants to do too well. And I say that having done dancing with the starch
Starting point is 00:12:49 and really wanted to do too well, I think he needs to loosen up a little bit. He was very tight in the hips. Yeah. But it was his first night. For sure. Totally. And again, this is not coming from a place of judgment.
Starting point is 00:12:59 I think I forgot how to have fun because it's so nerve-wracking. And like Dylan, like myself, I mean, like he's been on TV, but he's not like he hasn't been performing his whole life. So many of these people on this show have some kind of dancing background or performance background. This is really a new experience for him. And he's obviously, like, Dylan's been exceptional at many things in his life. So he's obviously approaching this experience, no doubt, like, busting his ass, working very hard. And, like, so much about dancing with the stars, it's not like going to a wedding and shaking your ass because there's all
Starting point is 00:13:37 these, like, steps and movements and, like, posture. But the, like, the real trick is, like, that's why I think Jen from Mormon wives, she's always having fun. Like, you know, the whole time, she's smiling and bubbly and people, that is so important when it comes to, like, audience voting. They want to vote for the people
Starting point is 00:13:55 who are really having a good time. I think that's why Joey did so well. He was, A, a good dancer, but Joey always looked like he was having a good time. And Dylan looked like a little bit how I looked, which is like a little bit of like, don't fuck up, you know? A little deer in headlights.
Starting point is 00:14:11 A little deer and headlights. So I'm hoping Dylan can bring some of that, like, I'm at a wedding energy to his next performance. You know who's giving wedding energy in dancing with the stars? Miss Hilaria Baldwin. I was kind of, I kind of ate her up. I'm not going to lie. We had Alec in the audience.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Alec in the audience. You have Hilaria. Let's Get Loud. Dancing to J-Lo. On theme, for sure. On theme. Yep. For sure on theme.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Yeah, I thought, I mean, I thought she did. Good. Again, wasn't obsessed with Choreo. No. I don't even think there was a lift there and she's like the smallest human being probably alive. Everyone can't have a lift. Why? They should. You know, it's like a 90 second dance. All I want to see are the lifts. Give the people what they want. I don't know of every
Starting point is 00:15:00 dance. Do you all remember the fox trot? Is there a lift in the fox trot? I don't know, but do you all remember last season when Danielle was with Dwight Howard? Yeah. And she She jumped off the stairs into his arms. Are you kidding? I haven't stopped thinking about it. I think you all have a sick obsession with being light and feathery.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Yeah. Sick. Yeah, we do. It's probably like mental illness, but let us happen. I think it is. Yeah, I don't understand. Yeah, no one claimed to be healthy in the head. No.
Starting point is 00:15:31 No, no. No. Now they just wants to jump into my arms and as if nothing happened. No. I can't flinch. There can be no. Yeah. I see nothing wrong with that.
Starting point is 00:15:44 I see nothing wrong with that either. Thank you. It's a mental illness. Well, you know what else we are binging right now? It is the Charlie Sheen documentary. We talked about it a little bit on Tuesday, but guys, it is insane. First of all, let me just start by saying, I personally have never seen not one Charlie Sheen movie. I know him as Denise Richards' ex-husband, right?
Starting point is 00:16:05 So, like, I went into it as like, I don't really know who this guy is, but like, sure, let's watch. And was jaw on the floor shocked the entire. two-part series. He's just, he's famously Martin Sheen's son who they get in the, in the dock that had just incredible success from the moment he tried acting. I mean, he was just, he skyrocketed to one of the biggest movie stars in the world. It seemed pretty easy to become an actor in that day and age, you know, like Charlie's dad, Charlie's brother, Charlie, you know, it's like, they all were just like, let's try.
Starting point is 00:16:39 It's like all his friends from like Nicholas Cage, to Sean Penn. They just all, like, grew up together. And they were, like, all friends. I don't know if George Clooney grew up with them, but, like, I think they were kind of acting together, but young George Clooney makes an appearance. But, yeah, it was, nepotism is awesome, you know? Last time I checked, it really works out, you know, for some.
Starting point is 00:16:57 And that's not, not to discount nepotism, because, again, there are a lot of nepo babies who are untalented, yeah. No, it's not even talented. Like, you do have to work hard. No, that's what I mean of, like, there are untalented nepo babies and a lot of the untalented nepo babies don't make it because even some of the talented nepo babies don't make it exactly yeah so but it is
Starting point is 00:17:19 guys he he led it in a fascinating life it's it's really surreal he's now eight year sober which just like his reasoning for finally getting sober it's like you would think but he's so honest the whole time right like he's like this is stuff that I said I would never like I would only ever say to a therapist like behind a hippa like law like would not ever say publicly and he says all of it he the interviewer was the director interviewer was great asked him everything scandal everything that's ever gone on about him and he's
Starting point is 00:17:54 brutally honest there's definitely some darkness to it and obviously our queen denise richards makes an appearance and she's very vulnerable and honest about some of the darkness in their marriage and that is in no way to condone charlie's activity this is i just i have empathy for the situation um they talk about how like he was addicted to pain Killers during that time. I think it really like sheds a light on just the disease that is addiction because the reasoning for why he got sober, it seems like there would have been, and there were so many other like bigger things that happened to him that you would thought would have like
Starting point is 00:18:29 snapped him out of it. But it was like this one small interaction he had with one of, with his daughter that like in eight years sober. It's just like, it's just a crazy. it's crazy yeah it's uh it's it's you know again it's it's dark it's funny it's fascinating it's you know it's it's not even like a celebration of charlie in no way i mean it's a very it's a confession of some of his at times very dark life but it is honest and there are elements of healing towards it and and vulnerability that you just you it's hard not to appreciate because even
Starting point is 00:19:05 like denise has talked to me she she was at the premiere you know everything they've been through And his other ex-wife makes an appearance, his ex-wife who also is a recovering addict. And, you know, there's just some really darkness in it. But again, they've seemed to have overcome as a family. We talked about it in a, yes, in Tuesday's episode of RR. But the fact that he drove or he flew a 300 passenger plane absolutely hammered. And that's how they opened the dock is just that tells you everything you need to know. So it's very interesting.
Starting point is 00:19:36 I mean, he admits this, but he's never really, he's never had to face. I mean, talk about privilege. He's never had to face many of the consequences that everyone else has to have faced for some of the things that he has done. And it's a fascinating doc. It's wild. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:52 It's wild. Have you guys seen, there's this documentary on HBO about Pee We Herman? It's called Pee We as himself. I haven't watched it now. It's really good because it's him like arguing, because he died like right before the documentary was finished. But, like, it's the, it's basically, like, the last kind of, like, the first time he's ever, like, really honest to the public about his life and he hates it.
Starting point is 00:20:17 And he's, like, arguing with the guy making the documentary the entire time. Yeah, this is not surely arguing. I mean, he's very accountable. And, like, you, they show a little BTS of him just, like, encouraging everyone who participated to, like, just whatever, you know, there's nothing off limits. Say whatever you have to say. It's like group therapy. Yeah. I mean, the amount of drugs that they.
Starting point is 00:20:39 they said this man was doing, they were like, it was like inhumane, like the amount that he would consume at one time was like superhuman. They were like, he's not real. Was he in like the group with like River Phoenix and Johnny Depp and stuff like that? They showed a photo of him in Johnny Depp. I think he was more with like Viper Room. Like Sean Penn he grew up with. Nicholas Cage was like a best friend of his and they were they were party boys together.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Yeah. Well, that makes sense because Nicholas Cage is like Francis Ford Coppola's, like, nephew or something. Also, the summer I turned pretty finale was last night, and it was really good in case anybody was watching that. We did have our episode with Christopher Briney, your beloved Conrad, so go check that out. You can find it somewhere. Well, up next, we have Nina Parker returning to the show. Starting point is 00:26:01 I'm so happy to be back, guys. We're so happy to have you. We miss you. I miss you. I mean, I see you online all the time, so I feel like I see you. You see enough of us. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Yeah. Understandably so. Well, breaking news, Nina, while you were joining us in the studio, Cardi B has announced that she is pregnant. She has. I mean, we do, but, you know, I love the sheet. You know, you always got to wait for the announcement. Did we know?
Starting point is 00:26:27 Oh, I did. I mean, yeah. I mean, she's been pregnant enough. I know. I mean, you. Yeah. You can tell. Yeah, I could tell.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Like at that court, you knew? She just moved a certain way when she's pregnant. I mean, she just, yeah, I mean, it was very obvious to me that she was pregnant. Well, that just honestly makes me a little proud of her for how she handled that ridiculous court case, but also just more infuriated that she had to put herself through that emotional, you know, stress. Let's, you know, she handled like such a queen, but, like, I don't feel like she should have had to deal with such a frivolous lawsuit during this very, very, very, very. Very sensitive time when it comes to being pregnant. Life be lifeing, right?
Starting point is 00:27:04 Like, regardless of what people don't care what you got going on, you still got to go to court. She got an album to drop. Like, she's, you know, that's why they say, I guess there's never a great time to get pregnant. This is going to happen. So you got to deal with it. So I won't be complaining about being tired
Starting point is 00:27:19 because she was doing a lot while she was pregnant. Yeah. Also, is there like another breaking announcement that there's a summer house spinoff? What's going on here? Oh, I saw that too. There is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Yes, there is a summer house spinoff. with Lindsay Hubbard, Kyle Cook, Amanda Petula, and more. They announced it today. The working title is In the City. Why did we need a spin-off for that? Because none of them were drinking and partying. I mean, I guess Kyle Cook still was, but. But couldn't we just turn Summer House into a little bit more?
Starting point is 00:27:48 That's what I was going to say. Yeah. So this is just the fall house. Literally. Yeah. They already did winter. They, like, posted an Instagram and said, City Life activated.
Starting point is 00:27:59 So it's basically going to be in the city that never sleeps. a group of New Yorkers navigates the biggest transition of their lives, marriage, parenthood, reinvention, and the reality of growing up without growing apart. So it sounds like the Valley, New York style, was probably better people, not as corrupt. A little bit more mentally stable people. Yeah, the Valley with like good souls. Yeah. We'll see, right?
Starting point is 00:28:20 We'll see. We'll see. Because you know people act different when it's the summer. That's true. We'll see with the fall behaviors given us. Yeah. See, as seasons change. Does that mean Kyle and Amanda won't be going to Summer House?
Starting point is 00:28:31 No, I guess they're just on two different shows. Well, because Lindsay is also supposed to be on Summer House. Well, it would make more sense for them to kind of like restructure and have, you know, the old Reliables do their own show and allow them to grow and then keep Summer House what it is, which is like young professionals getting fucked up in a house in the summer. You know what they're going to do? You remember how Summer House was launched when it was basically a Vanderpump Rules episode and it was like this,
Starting point is 00:29:01 it was like this big crossover. That's how, yeah, the first episode of Summer House. Yeah, it was a crossover. Yeah. We know this because we are recapping Vanderpump rules on Valfals Plus for anyone who wants to subscribe, subscribe to now. But, yeah, half of the cast went to the Hamptons, and they were partying with, like, New Yorkers.
Starting point is 00:29:21 It was the Summer House cast, and then, like, halfway through, it was, like, it went from an episode of Vanter Pump to an episode of, summer house. Which they love doing that, all of Beverly Hills. All of Beverly Hills, the introduction to Vanderpump. So I feel like you're going to have this new spin-off and all of a sudden it's going to transition into like the summer house where like Kyle and Lindsay will like graciously hand off and, you know, and Jesse and West and they'll bring in, you know, because like I want,
Starting point is 00:29:52 I don't want to, no offense. I want to see singles partying in the summer house. I do not want to see people like slowing down their lives. But I do want to see them in a different environment. Like I don't want to see them in the summer house like going to bed at 9 p.m. while everyone's like hammered and drunk. But I do want to see them removed in New York like whatever they're doing there. Because they're not going to be on two different shows, are they? Well, it's saying that casting was kept out of the official release, but a source told people that the anchors are going to be Lindsay, Kyle and Amanda. And then they also, an insider is saying that Andrea Denver and and wife, Lexi, Sunden
Starting point is 00:30:29 are also taking part in the series. I don't know. It sounds mature. It sounds a little mature. Yeah. You know, it sounds like they might be doing some home remodeling. Yeah. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:30:39 You know, sounds a little more elevated maybe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They can like... I would love a home remodel. Oh, would you listen, me too. They have an assistant send out their part-of-full invitations instead of just sending them out themselves now.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Part-of-ful. Yeah. Well, did you watch Real Housewives? of Salt Lake City premiere last week? I did. I did. You know, it gave a lot of everything. It did.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Even their intro is the best in the franchise. The Blair Witch. The Blair Witch intro. I was like, you know, which is very like niche. I was like, oh, the Blair Witch. I love this. This is letting us know what we're about to expect. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:19 Found footage Housewives crossover was not, to quote Whitney Rose on my bingo card. But I was like really happy to see it. And there was a little haunting in the episode. There was. Heather got spooky with it. Yeah. There was a little storytelling. I was here for it.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yeah. We have the longest rapid recap, I think, we've had to date. Mary, what happened here? There's a lot going on in the show that needed to be talked about. Okay. Well, if you missed the premiere of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, here is your not-so-Rapid, rapid recap. So this season opens up with a Blair witch-style horror sequence. Need we say more?
Starting point is 00:31:54 Yes, because immediately after Angie shows up to Mary Cosby's house in a number. RV, and they plot to shove all the women into a recreational vehicle and take them straight to a sketchy camping site. All but Lisa, who was too busy hanging out with Blake Lively and Ben Affleck, aka negotiating her contract to join them. All the girlies meet in the beauty lab parking lot. Brittany showed up in a bikini top under a fur coat. And it seems like the FBI was called on Whitney, JKJK.
Starting point is 00:32:15 It was more like male strippers as a joke. What wasn't a joke, Whitney's saying Britney sucks Jared's dick for money. We're so back because Lisa isn't there. The girls take this as an opportunity to shit on her all day long. but Brittany is apparently besties with Lisa and supports her. She also brings camcorders for everyone in the woods because that always ends well. Lisa Barlow's business issues are, of course, brought up while everyone's camping. The girls go for the juggler.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Angie compares Lisa to Jen Shaw and everyone, including Angie, was like, whoa, okay, too far. Sorry about that. Never mind. Also, Bronwyn admitted she totally lied about that necklace and Heather is still living in terror of Lisa. Brittany then announces her and Jared got engaged and then unengaged, but they're still sleeping together. Mary Cosby is convinced she could spiritually resurrect a fish. if anyone could do it, she could. Also, Heather is once again producing, but this time a horror film. It's so scary, Mary Cosby has to raw dog a bagel. Then the drama picks up. Whitney
Starting point is 00:33:06 bodies her fight with Brittany by revealing that her business failed. Brittany tried and failed to hug her after. Meredith also finally speaks after literally adding lighter fluid to a fire. To remind Brittany, I find you to be absolutely uninteresting. I have zero respect for you. Cold, Meredith. Then all the girls go into the woods at night and it gets super Blair Witch and then they lose Meredith. What? Thoughts? The Jenshaw SWAT team of it all That was wild I mean obviously it was
Starting point is 00:33:34 There's no way Right But like it was kind of like I mean is there every time to play about the police I know I was like okay girl In the beauty lab parking lot The original scene of the crime as well
Starting point is 00:33:47 Bravo has a very hairy history with faking any type of police involvement Right Yeah I mean you know It was definitely a nice little repeat, but I was like, oh. Also, we watched it twice in watching Whitney act the second time, knowing that she is the one who they're like, Whitney, it's for you. She's like, oh, no, what's happening?
Starting point is 00:34:11 You're listening? The second that Heather Gay stopped down, and she was like, what's going on here? Are we allowed to body shame strippers? Oh, did you think they were too thin? Listen, I think in this day and age. If you're going to take your shirt off for a profession and ask us to three. you money. Well, let's consider the city. Yeah, that's because you know.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Also, you don't think, what, people in Salt Lake can work out and get the abs going? No, I mean, it depends. You know, that might be what they like there. You know what I mean? But also, how much money did they make to get on that tiny RV and
Starting point is 00:34:46 like, like, shimmy? It was so awkward. It seemed like most of the show was outside of RV. Like, what kind of strippers? You're just doing it in the parking lot? there was not enough room for all there should have been one you know there was not enough room before
Starting point is 00:35:00 I know I love that Salt Lake City is like the premier prestige housewife show and it still is like the most low budget of all of them I was gonna say a couple of them camera angles looked like they was definitely shot from Andrew oh my god yeah I was like what's happening on the RV I was like you guys didn't have time to like get like at least
Starting point is 00:35:17 like 1080 on the RV they don't even care because it was given on that RV when the dick sucking allegations I was like now I'm locked it It would have landed a lot better if Whitney would have had the stripper show up to the campsite as if, like, the police tracked them down. Yeah. You know? Well, and it would have been scarier because of the ghost.
Starting point is 00:35:35 True. And there would have been more room for them to shake their ass. Right. Which is scarier. It's just this thing for you. So true. There's this bang coming. No, Britney, the way that she is able to like.
Starting point is 00:35:46 I love Brittany. And she did it all last. She gave it to us all last season. But what about me? You know? And it's so good every time. So I am a, you know, I dip, I don't know if you guys know it, but I dip in and out of reality because I get so consumed. So sometimes I take seasons off.
Starting point is 00:36:01 So I came back in bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and I was like, okay, this is why everybody loved Salt Lake so much. They do bring it though. Yeah. You know, it's not, you don't have to wait and squeeze a storyline now. But Brittany, I was like fascinated with. I was like, oh, she's in her own little, it's British world, huh? And the fact she can't say like a bad word. I'm like, girl, just say it
Starting point is 00:36:23 She's like, you said that I S-D. I F-T-S-D. No, but then when she walked over to give Whitney the hug and Whitney wasn't having it and she's like, well, then I still want to apologize from the dick-sucking comment. And you know, this is the thing. She's not really wrong.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Like, she's not wrong. Like, they were kind of having a back and forth on the RV. And she was kind of owed an apology. She just, her timing is really bad news. No, Nina, no. because this is what Brittany did all last season. She forgets that she starts things.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Like she forgets that she throws the first punch. And then when someone retaliates, she's like, why would you do that? Why would you say that? That's not nice. And it was like her ITM being like, Whitney can say whatever she wants. But the second that I, and I was like, you started it by coming for her business. Did she though? Well, because I guess she was defending her friends.
Starting point is 00:37:16 I don't think Whitney, I don't think Brittany has a mean bone in her body. I think, I really don't. I don't think she's ever malicious. I think she will attempt to defend herself or her friends and say what you want about Brittany. And I'm not like the biggest Lisa stand out there, but I definitely respect someone who is willing to stand up for their friend in a group of people talking shit when that friend is not there.
Starting point is 00:37:42 Because a lot of people claim to be your friend. And when people talk shit about you, you know, your quote unquote friends are like maybe at best, kind of like not saying anything or even giggling along with the shit that's being talked about you. Yeah. I don't know. I didn't think she started the fight. I felt like if you're, if I'm, if this is a friend of mine, which, you know, how good friends they are, who knows. But like, if my friend is sitting there and someone's talking about my business and I'm, I'm her in that place, right? I'm defending her. So if you're talking about my business and I say, well, what about yours? I don't feel like I started. I feel like you did by talking about my friend who's not here.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So, like, if you can talk about her business, why is it not relevant that I can bring up yours? So then now we're going back and forth. But, like, you're the one who was throwing shade first. It doesn't matter if it was directed at me or not. You started throwing the first shade. So she did. I feel like she started it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:33 I mean, listen, if you run your mouth and talk your shit about people, like, you're going to, like, I'm not saying it's okay. And maybe the other person isn't being the bigger person, but, like, it's hard for you to act like the victim. Right. I also do love seeing, and we saw it at the table when they're eating their sandwiches and salads, the way that they're able to fight and hate each other, it looks like, and then they just like make up, like the way that Angie was like, okay, well, we have this game. And Heather's like, give it to me. And you know, it's like, y'all were just screaming at each other. But like, I love that we are not, like you said, Nina, pulling and stretching these storylines to last episodes and episodes like, O.C. I wouldn't be able to do it. Like, there's no way you coming from our business and then we're going to go and make a snowman. Yeah, like, you know, they're going to go fly fishing right after. I don't, I, and I know it like there are seasons so they know how to do it. I am not able to, I'm not mature enough.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah. For that. So it, it is work. How does Angie? Don't you dare? I'm just, like, shame on Angie for, for bringing her friends out into the middle of nowhere and for getting all the food. That was a bit. That had to be a bit.
Starting point is 00:39:38 That was so, this episode. You know, because they were like in a junkyard or not or something like. I was like, what? How did Utah is this? Yeah, I suppose. I'm sure. Craft Services was there in the background. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Like all they had were a hot dog. Like they definitely didn't spin the whole night there. They definitely didn't, yeah. No. And I guarantee you, like, in the next episode, after this, like, whole thing with, like, where's Meredith? They're going to, Meredith's going to be like, she literally just walked back to base camp. Right.
Starting point is 00:40:02 Was done. They were definitely hyping it up. I think they were all part of the bit. Yes. I don't think it was a bit for Lisa to not show up for the first episode. No. And you can tell when production's mad at their cast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:15 When they shade them a little bit, when they had that, you know, they shot to marry Lisa's couch or whatever. I mean, like, on a business trip. Where is she? Question mark, question, my, question. With Ben Affleck. Or no, wait. Who does she say she was like? Blake and Bentley.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Like, what are they doing together? Yeah. Well, because, okay, so allegedly she was working like premier, she was doing like premieres and stuff. And it was, um, the accountant to and another simple favor is what she was doing. Right carpet? I don't know what she was doing. She said it like they went to brunch. I know.
Starting point is 00:40:43 you was at premieres that's not work you hold you held a microphone give me a break you held one of those tiny microphones and that's why you got me on your show at like at least like a gala i was like oh she must be at like a charity a bit with them well then if that's the case i just hung out with denzil and spikely yeah oh if that's the case that's just plain and carpets exactly i'm i'm best friends that would be like saying everyone who came on this show is like one of my very close personal oh yeah oh yeah they're a friend of mine yeah i know it's Literally, Brittany saying that her and Meredith are best friends and Meredith is like, how many times have we talked on the phone once? And she's like, no, twice. That was so, oh. That was vicious. I would be mortified. If I was Meredith, I would have given her a little bit of a bone. I've been like, you know, if you need that. No, but the best thing about Meredith is that she was like, no, I don't like you. I have zero respect for you. We'll talk on the phone twice, babes. I've talked, you know, I've talked to AT&T more. Right. You know, like, we talk it on the phone to people. Yeah. It was a little harsh, though. It was harsh, but like, I don't.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Also, if you're blatantly lying on how close we are to, like, make it to present it, like, you know, I'm hurting your feelings. I'm like, girl, wait a minute. We're not that close. For Meredith to say, I find you to be absolutely uninteresting. I have zero respect for you. I was like, calling someone uninteresting. I would rather you call me an evil bitch than you call. Uninteresting to me is like the worst insult you could ever.
Starting point is 00:42:09 You might as well talk about my mama. Yeah. Like, I'm uninteresting. I respectfully disagree with Meredith. I am locked in to any time Brittany is singing in public and videotaping it and putting on her social. Like, I don't know if you can call that uninteresting. Brittany was going to wear a bikini and a fur coat on an airplane. She didn't know if it was commercial or private.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Yeah. That's very interesting. That's very interesting. And again, no shade to Meredith, who very excited to see her DJ set coming up. but like yeah yeah watch your mouth watch your mouth i'm just saying it is true she did that was the only words she spoke that entire episode she is true but the thing is the way she did it too it was like she had been silent the entire day and then she just starts she puts lighter fluid in the fire she spoke at the lunch or whatever it was oh and she was like i don't know what lisa did
Starting point is 00:43:03 yeah right right she defended her girl very quickly very quietly and then was like that was pretty uninteresting to be honest. That was pretty and then let Heather do the rest. Yeah. She was like, I'm not getting into all this. And then she put, she literally fueled the fire and then went for the jugular with How much did all of the smoke at that fire bother all of y'all?
Starting point is 00:43:24 Because I couldn't pay attention to anything else. They're all like, did it distract you? Yeah, they were all like moving out of the way. Coffing. Can we talk about Mary though? I love her so much. The fish situation. She couldn't believe that. That had to be.
Starting point is 00:43:38 I actually think that sounds on brand It does She's a woman of God And God doesn't know fish biology Well God has done many miracles Right no sorry that's Jesus But she also is a woman of Jesus What does she keep calling that man?
Starting point is 00:43:52 Gusty Gusty In her defense I honestly it sounded like he was saying Gusty Was that an edit though It looks like they played it twice Oh probably
Starting point is 00:44:02 By the Ben But she definitely thought his name was Gusty Well yeah Because she goes Gusty. Like, she confirmed that his name was, in fact, in her mind, Gusty. Gusty. Girl, who you know's name is Gusty?
Starting point is 00:44:16 Like, what you're just a plea? I mean, if someone takes you fly fishing and they're dressed like that, and his name was Gusty? He was so amazed by her question. I just, I mean, I honestly think that's another side quest they need to pursue is her doing these activities. I would watch in a heartbeat. It's like a Stanley Tucci travel show, but it's just Maryam Cosby going places.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Like Anthony Borday type. show with Mary, please, I'm locked in. Bravo. It's in her everywhere. Bravo. Question. Justin, was Lisa live tweeting last night? I mean, she's always live tweeting.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Well, I know. But I'm curious, on an episode that, one, she was a no show. And two, they were talking about, you know, certainly no Jen Shaw. That comparison was wild, considering what Jen Shaw did. And like, I think even Angie said it as like a joke trying to be funny. And I think, you know, and then even she was like, well, guys, no, that was too, that was a job. I mean, it's not great if Lisa's racking up a bunch of, like, debt and borrowing money from people that she's not paying back. Like, not cool if that's what's going on.
Starting point is 00:45:19 But I am curious if Lisa was, if she had anything to say, because usually she will fight back on Twitter when people, when her peers in episodes are talking shit about her. And it was, I mean, it was her episode, even though she wasn't there. Yeah. That was her. She was in that thing. She did post on her Instagram story last night. I make the best tequila so you don't have to be thirsty. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:44 That's what I saw. Oh, is that because Angie was drinking tequila from the bottle. I will say Angie's saying she's just like Jen, like, Jen Shaw is a very like me thing to say in an argument where you're just like saying shit. And then you're like, oh, no. Like I would call someone who shops left from CBS. Like you're being a Jen Shaw, you know? Like, it's just interchangeable. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:03 I mean, Angie Kay was friends with Jen Shaw. that was her entrance to the show. So I think to her, it's like a... Yeah, she's like, oh, like Jen Shaw. Yeah. And then everyone's like, no, not like Jen Shaw. And she was like, no, sorry. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:16 But I agree, like, you know, you're getting all these lawsuits. It's not coming from anywhere. It may not be... Is it illegal? I don't know. It's like, you're kind of touching the toe of, you know, a little illegal. It's not yet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Sometimes to be a business owner is to do things that are illegal. Yeah. And who knows, it could be from... It's not illegal to have a... financial dispute and not pay someone back and the person you don't pay back certainly has the right to like sue you and try to you know as long as there's no fraud involved yeah it could just be a dispute like where she says no I don't owe you so yeah you know it's just that's why it's but yeah if you're knowingly defrauding people to give you money then I think that's a different situation
Starting point is 00:46:55 did you guys pick up on um Heather that look she gave after she said like Jen deserved to be in prison as if one of the producers dared her to say it or like said, you know, it was like, I don't think you're going to say it. And she kind of was like, and she belongs in jail.
Starting point is 00:47:12 And she goes, I'm only going to say this in the same Gapy of my home. I would never say this to somebody's face. Yeah, it was very. It's like Jen is in prison where she belongs. For how long? She's mine being out there. They're teasing that I think Jen Shaw is going to come on in the future.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Oh, for sure. And I selfishly want that to happen. I do too. But I know that that's like a whole chaos of itself. Yeah. I mean, I think they'd be there on her release day. Wait, did y'all see Heather's chest? What?
Starting point is 00:47:39 I could not stop. It was literally, it looked airbrush. It was like the smoothest. I've never seen a chest. Maybe she had a treatment. Zero sun damage, not one freckle, like, not one wrinkle. It didn't even look like skin. It looked insane.
Starting point is 00:47:56 She does own Beauty Lab and Laser. Yeah. Do you think, do they have an offer for like skin renewal? Probably. I would hope so. And that's a big thing in skincare right now is like the declotage and like everybody's doing. People are moving to the neck and the chest. Yeah. We figured out the face.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Because it'll tell on you. Yeah. Looked so good. Exactly. I was too focused on Angie Kay's incredible confessional look. The giant bow. Yeah. That's all that had my focus in the confessional. Have you guys ever lived the RV life? I did.
Starting point is 00:48:30 I didn't live it. I've been, you know, I've gone on vacations. As a kid, it was fun. It's fun. You meet a lot of people and see a lot of places. I had a friend whose family was really into RV, so I would go on vacations with them. And we would go to this place in Northern California called Tamales Bay.
Starting point is 00:48:48 And we would go clamming. Clamming. Yeah, but then at the end of the night, the kids had to sleep in tents outside. They put us out. And the parents stayed in RV with the heat. Oh, that's a scam. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:00 That's evil. That's terrible. Okay. But it was fun. Wait, Nina, you were just in New York, right? I was, yes. Did you see Iris and T.J. from Love Island together? I did not see them, but the girl who did my hair for an event did O'Andria's hair the day before.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Cool. She did O'Landria's hair for the, remember that Keynes? I saw that. Had a brand of fashion show. With a lot of big people in it. Yeah. And so she did her hair for that. So she was just, but the T she gave me was that she was like,
Starting point is 00:49:32 I don't think she loved it. I don't know she was talking about the hair or the show. But she was just like, I don't know if I'm going to post. And I was like, no, post your pictures, girl. But she was very excited. But I did not see them in any Love Islanders in person. How was Fashion Week this year? How was it?
Starting point is 00:49:48 I mean, I've been going back and forth to New York for many years. This is probably like the most magical trip to New York I've ever taken. And it was just so special and the energy was great. I did my first New York Fashion Week show for my first. collection, which was all plus women. So it was really dope. We did it in Harlem. And yeah, it was just, man, it was incredible. I'm very like overwhelmed still. I haven't, I haven't even posted much. Yeah. Because it's just been like, you know, some things are just so amazing. Like, you just need to hold it for a second. Yeah. Before the world gets to feel it. And I've just
Starting point is 00:50:22 been like really just living in it for a second. But yeah, it was really great. And were you stressed at all? Oh my God. Girl. I barely made it here. Like, I was. It was incredibly stressful. You know, I was like, man, if there were cameras following me right now, like the shoe, there was like the shoe delay. We had a shoe shipment that didn't come till the morning of that was three days late that UPS lost and sent to Philadelphia. And I was like, I'm going to lose my mind. And then finally, I just had to surrender and just be like, whatever's going to happen. These girls got to walk barefoot.
Starting point is 00:50:52 That's just what's going to happen. And that'll just be chic. But it's all, you know, it's so funny because everything comes together last minute and then nobody, you know, cares about how stressed they were the minute before. Yeah. But it was really cool. It's so exciting. That's awesome. Yeah, it was like for, you know, it's like cliche, but it was very life changing for me. Like, which I, it's in this point in my career, a lot of stuff starts to feel the same, which is great. It feels good. But when there's like a new challenge or something that scares you, like this actually scared me. And I was like, damn, it's been a long time since like, because I've been hosting for a long time. I've been doing, I'm not really like scared of stuff anymore. So I like that this like challenged me in a different one. Love that. Do you feel like you're going to do it every year? I was thinking about that because I was like, man, I think I could like do this on my own with the right like sponsors. So I'm thinking about doing one solely like that would feature only size inclusive brands because there's there was maybe only one other, maybe two other size inclusive shows through all of Fashion Week. And most of them are not invited to other shows.
Starting point is 00:51:55 So while, you know, you may be having a show like nobody else really acknowledges you like you won't get invited to anything else. So I was like, this could be a great opportunity to, like, invite people and have, like, a community type of thing and honor, like, the plus girls who slay in fashion. Yeah. And elevate it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that's, that's what I'm thinking about doing for next year.
Starting point is 00:52:13 That's awesome. Yeah. Invite, you know, once you get on, you got to put other people on. Yeah. Yeah. I don't want to be here by myself. Mm-hmm. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:52:21 I love that. Who is the most fashionable housewife in Salt Lake City? I'm married. Yeah. I mean, Ronwin is, is, Bronwyn kind of kills it. I'm not going to lie. Brom was the little red glasses in the pit last night. I was like, okay, really.
Starting point is 00:52:33 But Mary is like church fashion, like, you know, I mean, fishing in a Chanel scarf, you know. Why are you trying to resuscitate the salmon in the water? Like, that's pretty impressive. You know why Brow and it reminds me why I love her so much? Because she's such a good apologizer in a universe where no one ever apologizes. And she makes it seem like, you know, listen, whatever. Like I kind of fibbed about a necklace who gives a shit. I shouldn't have done it.
Starting point is 00:53:00 And she has the perfect balance because honestly, like, who really gives this shit whether she lied about the necklace? You know what I'm saying? But she acknowledges how serious other, the people who like take it seriously, she will validate them. And like that's so smart about Rowan
Starting point is 00:53:21 is that like it cost her nothing to apologize because it's about something that really doesn't matter. You know what I'm saying? It's not a Jen Shaw. situation. She didn't like hurt, there are no victims in this crime that she's apologizing for. And so many housewives will like die on the vine of like denial of a stupid shit, right? And it will just go on forever. And then they'll get their haters will come up. And Brahman's like, yeah, no, I did that. That's kind of what why I was like, you know, I know she's not a lot of
Starting point is 00:53:54 people don't like her, but I was kind of like, I respect somebody who can just, oh, because what can you say? It's kind of like when, you know, an eight mile when Eminem was like, I'm just talk about myself so you can't say anything. It's like when somebody owns a lie or like just owns it, like what can you really say? And then you can't really bring it up later because she didn't already apologize. She kind of disarms you a little bit. And that's kind of what Whitney did too with like her being like, yeah, my business failed and it sucks. And now a bunch of people are out of a job because I failed. And now like that's a season of storylines they don't have to deal with. And then it flipped to people being like, oh my gosh, we're, you know, instead of people criticizing
Starting point is 00:54:29 her. Now you have to show empathy even if you were critical before because now she's telling you the depth of it all. It's very, you know, I'm like, it's the most more y'all should start apologize. Yeah. It's like the exact opposite of Lisa. Exactly. It's going to be really interesting to see like, because it seems like they've started to figure out that that's the way to go. Yeah. Instead of like, you know, trying to like keep this facade up, they're like, no, let's completely break it down and be honest and see what you do about it. But I know these women are crazy enough that they will do something about it. Most of them don't have the ego to be. like, you know, I think because she's
Starting point is 00:55:01 also newer to the cast, she you know, she's afforded a little bit more of like wiggle room for that. So I think like it was, it was the best move she, I agree, she is the best thing she could have done. Yeah. Much strategy. I got to start applying that to my personal life. Yeah. You know,
Starting point is 00:55:17 you know, okay, maybe I won't drag this. You know, maybe I won't drag this out. Maybe accountability is the way to get. Maybe, to be honest and earnest. I didn't think I was going to learn. I love it. Thanks for I have a question for Nina before we let you go. Nick Cannon recently claimed that becoming a father of 12 kids was a trauma response from his divorce from Mariah Carey.
Starting point is 00:55:42 I feel like you would have something interesting to say about Nick Cannon's accusation. Apparently his kids are a trauma response. First and foremost, I'm not sure how his kids feel about that. I am not a fan. I just think like every time he talks, I feel like narcissistic. clouds float over me. And I get in a daze. I just, you know, every time he speaks, I feel like someone gets hurt. It's like dangerous what he says. How has he been able to work so much? Like I don't, I don't understand his success. I think people still see him as like little Nick Cannon,
Starting point is 00:56:15 like, you know, like this child actor because he really did have these like, especially in the black community. Like he was a child actor that a lot of us loved, you know, and watch grow up and rooted for so this behavior like this flip is just like so strange to me but like you know these kids are going to see these videos also like these child's mothers probably i've met a couple of them they're actually lovely women like you know everybody got caught up but like he i just felt like he admitted he was doing this intentional so all these broken homes and like now you got these 12 graduations to go to chel and you know good luck but it's just i just think his words can be really, really messy and dangerous
Starting point is 00:56:54 and, like, the fallout is going to be continuous. He just, he doesn't think. It's like, of course you're going to blame Mariah Carey, you know, like, can't take it. I'm like, Mariah is probably like, how did I get in it? You know, like, I remember, like, when they got together and I remember, like, I was working and, like,
Starting point is 00:57:12 we were reporting on it. And I was like, this is such a strange. I think she was, you know, I don't know their relationship, but I feel like she was going through a phase. And, like, you know, I just, you never hear her talk about it. And that's to me what lets me know she was, is something was off with that because she doesn't even acknowledge it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:31 And Mariah knows exactly what to and not to acknowledge and who. And I think he's been milking it ever since. What he calls a trauma response, I would call his career playbook. And he often has like said, you know, and it's true, he had his own success before Mariah. He was a millionaire when he met her. It's not like he was, I think sometimes people think, because. she was worth more. He was like a broke boy. But he wasn't. He was a, you know, a healthy actor with businesses. He had his own career in money before he met her. But for some reason,
Starting point is 00:58:02 it's like he needs this validation with this comparison. And that's why it's so important to be with somebody who is not jealous of you when you're in a relationship. Because he's still like in this weird competition with her that he's only in. Nobody else is participating. Was wild and out before, after, during? I think it was, I want to say, it was during? during during but he was like a movie star yeah you know before mariah you know was the marching band movie oh yeah yeah so we had the you know the all the all the movies yeah because remember he did love don't cost a thing with christina million and you know he was like
Starting point is 00:58:39 it is just crazy he was always like around yeah yeah you're just going to call your children just like a response to something and not anything other than a blessing you know I don't know. I couldn't even imagine, like, being, like, carrying someone's child and they say something like that after. I'm not quite sure. Like, you know, you're just saying, you just saying anything when you get on a mic. And that is why, you know, I believe there needs to be some IQ test before we give out any more mic. That's a really good idea. You've got to pass this test for you get a mic, babes. Because this is, just don't give one. I feel, I feel like Brittany should be grandfathered into that rule. Brittany gets one Just in case Not sure how she would test out But I just
Starting point is 00:59:23 Either an IQ or like charisma test Yes Yeah But the charisma has to It has to be like It can't be evil charisma Because like Brittany's charisma It's not
Starting point is 00:59:34 It's not So it's okay Brittany just wants to be loved That's it Yeah She definitely is seeking Like friendship from this group And I'm just like
Starting point is 00:59:43 She's not gonna get it You got to be okay would just, if I were her, I would turn into the biggest villain on that show. Yeah. Because them women, this is the thing. It's not that they, it's one thing to not like me. They don't respect her.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Yeah. And I would rather you dislike me and respect me in a group setting. It's like, girl, you got family and friends. Like, don't try to make these girls your friend. I'll be coming at them from all cylinders. I'm like, you can you can not like me, but you're going to be embarrassed every time you try to come for me.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Yeah. If this is the route we're taking. No, that I just thought of. It would be amazing. If you, Nina Parker, became friends with Brittany and she brought you in as a friend up to the show, and you would like have, you would be like, if you're going to talk shit about Brittany, you're talking shit about me. And you would just like go ham on these ladies. I feel like that would be. You know, I'm really good friends with Chris Shell, who's on Selling Sunset. And she's always like, man, you need to be, you know, she's invited me to come on the show.
Starting point is 01:00:42 And I'm like, I'm not coming on because. I'm not built for this. I will cuss people out. Like, yeah. And she's like, that's why you need to come on. And I'm like, you know, my temperament is not built for reality TV. I will be, it will be grand opening, grand closing for me, babe. Hired and then fired.
Starting point is 01:00:59 I don't know. I support it. I support it. Nina, it's always fun to have you on. Can you plug what, anything you want to share with my audience or plug before we send you on your way? Yes. My show Friday night vibes is on every Friday on TVS with me and my co-host

Starting point is 01:04:44 Hey, everybody. Hi. Can you hear us? Yeah, sorry, I was on a different Zoom with my buddies from home. how you been buddy how's fatherhood i wish she was here leah got to meet her i did she's so cute it's so great everything is amazing like every day is awesome oh does she know seven months wow that's crazy what is your favorite dad job that you have when it comes to like shared responsibilities with jess goodness gracious i feel like i do very little uh quite honestly um i'm around a lot i'm like a good bench player
Starting point is 01:05:18 I'd say my favorite thing is I get to feed Winnie when Jess gets ready for bed at night and then Winnie falls asleep afterwards and so her and I just kick it and watch football or whatever's on and it's like an hour of just her and I and she's so happy to be with me and I love that are you a diaper changer yeah yeah um I am when I when I'm needed I just just is only back to work two days a week so I I'm home all the time working from here And so, like, when Jess needs me, I will. But it's very rare that I get, like, I find, you know, that I'm, like, the one on spot to do it. And Jess loves being, like, she loves it.
Starting point is 01:06:00 She's, like, you, Natalie, she's like, they just, like, as soon as she was born into this world, Jess's, like, whole world was like, I love this baby. I want to do everything for as long as I can. What is she doing right now? Like, has she, like, what, like, milestone has she hit? She's not crawling, but she's scooting. cute uh kind of like i'd say she's a very average scooter she's feeding herself uh like purees oh wow um half gets in her mouth half gets on the floor love um she's saying mama which is a big win
Starting point is 01:06:34 mama was first that's huge yeah we thought data was going to be first now does she know that she is saying mama or is she just going mama mama she reaches for okay that's really cute yeah i mean i think so right i mean i think like as a parent you just well river was saying mama and dada like mama mama you know but she before she like knew what she was saying which is why we say her first word is dog because over thanksgiving she like looked at the dogs and said dog i was just joking with jess about that yeah yeah i was like how funny is it going to be if she looks in like whalen is her first word and like crushing to like whalen I think so because she reaches for Jess.
Starting point is 01:07:19 Yeah, she probably does then. But, I mean, they're just so connected. Jess is still breastfeeding, but we're starting to wean off of that now. No, Jess. Because when he has teeth and it's been a wild ride, like, there's just random screams from Jess at, like, moments being like, no. Rivers, like, getting, like, so close to saying sentences, full sentences. And it's the most wild thing. She had a little stuff.
Starting point is 01:07:46 toy she had picked out the other day and she I said what oh what's this and she said I bought this I bought this and I was like oh my god that I cannot wait until like all these kids start saying the weirdest things like my favorite show growing up was kids say the darndest things oh yeah yeah and I cannot wait till they're like regurgitating whatever weird stuff I say in the course of the day do you guys swear yeah just doesn't I mean just is like a perfect angel of a human that doesn't drink, swear, works out. But do you do, do you swear on the house?
Starting point is 01:08:22 Are you like fuck shit balls? I mean, not like, I don't think I, like, I think in moments, yeah. I don't like. Like when you're watching the game, are you like, cock sucker? Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:08:32 Yeah, definitely. What's your go-to? Probably just fuck. Like, all right, a man to Costco. Yeah, he's not, he's not serial mom. Yeah, I mean,
Starting point is 01:08:45 I say, I've taught myself because of being like around people to say son of a biscuit a lot because my grandpa used to say it. That works. That still has the same like it still gets whatever I need out. Nick, you know, Nick's just got the sailor mouth of the sailor. And we are just, you know, so worried that rivers just how do you know, because it's like, I guess that has to start with us, you know, like we have to stop cussing.
Starting point is 01:09:13 So I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Yeah, we will cross it. Yeah. I mean, it's going to happen. I just saw Becca Kufrin and Thomas. They posted their son saying, I think he either said fuck or shit, but one of them. And they were like, what? What did you say?
Starting point is 01:09:30 They were like, oh, no. I think that's really when you look in the mirror. It'll definitely be my fault. That's for sure. Yeah. It's going to be my fault. Anything bad in Wynonna's life is going to be my fault, not for any other reason other than like just just doesn't she's just like she really is just like very pure of everything it's
Starting point is 01:09:52 wild it's confusing i mean i thought y'all both were until you said fuck until you said fuck yeah yeah ruined it uh any thoughts and feelings in our our new bachelorette taylor frankie paul then you know i have so many i actually listened to a lot of what you guys because you're so connected and you're so in in that world. I'm not. Like, I've never seen Secret Lives of Mormon wives. Jess educated me on it. It's got to have been two, three years ago.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Whenever the show got announced, she showed me, like, the TikToks of them. And I remember feeling back in the day, like, this is going to be entertaining, but that's all it is. And I think I have that just, like, in my spirit where I kind of diminish what the public thinks is cool or not and it obviously took off it's a i mean people love the show i think it i just don't know
Starting point is 01:10:48 where the bachelor it goes from here i think her season will be good uh people will watch it it saves the franchise for another season i just i don't know how they continue to keep the show going after she's the lead and well but i think the hope is is that you know like people remember our era not to sound like the old guys as they did a good job of casting the right leads you know, and there was a string of very popular seasons and they leaned into their star power and they, you know, and I think that was very important. They got away from that, right? I don't know who was making the decisions or why they made the decisions on casting certain leads and no disrespect to some of those leads, but they clearly lacked some of the star power in the poll that people like
Starting point is 01:11:35 you and Caitlin and myself and Jojo, like, you know, whether they were incredibly liked and popular like you or more controversial like me there was certainly like sometimes they've been they've been casting leads lately where people are like wait who who were like when do they they were on the season you know like when you when they casted clayton like no disrespect but like he was not a main character on that season you know and so like nick i think nick's made a good point when we were talking about it of like when you when you have a star lead then you have more of like star cast you know like then everyone kind of shines so then when they cast the next bachelor they're pulling from like who was a very watched and loved season that there's going to be you know
Starting point is 01:12:24 because i feel like it's when they pull these like yeah like when they had hannah brown you got tyler cameron you know you got um you got p pilot pete you know uh when you had pilot pete be the bachelor very popular bachelor you know you had uh hannah anne you know you know Yeah, you had Maddie Pruitt, like, you know, and they were all stars, you know. So I think the hope is it will jumpstart, you know, the franchise. But like, yeah, I mean, they've, you know, they had a chance with Joey and fuck that up. Yeah. So I think they need to do a better job of, I don't know how they did it before, but they need to cast with their next lead in mind, being open to the possibility of, they have to have, like, three or four.
Starting point is 01:13:12 potential leads because you know like you know like a lot of the people they cast have never have a chance to ever being a lead yeah i mean i think you're right i i just don't trust the show enough anymore to think that they're going to make the right choice even if it was handed to them in front of them i mean i think that's a fair that's a fair critique like if you look at the last i mean six six years they've had some really good opportunities for leads and they've chosen people who lack the ability to have a conversation like with another human not even that they're controversial or their light. They just can't even, like, talk to a girl in a way that's, like, normal and human.
Starting point is 01:13:48 And it, like, brings out their story and their, it brings out their personalities. It's, it's like these leads have been walking robots saying the right thing at the right moment and never having any emotion in it than what the producer is telling them. And so that's great. I just, I think I'm hesitant to believe that the show actually. knows what the audience wants i thought there was some master plan for the last five years that i wasn't seeing uh that the show is choosing these people to lead up to this amazing bachelor that would kick off the show again or this amazing bachelor out that would kick off the show again
Starting point is 01:14:26 and like you said they had it with joey joey was that guy yeah like he was loved he was light he was he's good looking he could talk to girls he's like has friends outside of the show so he's like a normal human and they just like ruined it again yeah no i mean you're you're absolutely right i mean they've it is a they've been very reactive to people in charge of this show um and i don't think they've really had much of a plan but taylor will be great uh that that much maybe it would be the the last big hurrah like they i mean you know her yeah right i mean you guys know her so like who do you see her being like is there anybody similar that's been a lead in the past that you guys think she could be similar to i i guess maybe hannah brown only in the sense that like hannah was this perfect combination of you know she knew how to be demure and and attractive and likable and then she knew had to be fiery and spunky and it never felt inauthentic um and i would i would argue every bachelorette since hannah brown has tried to inauthentically be Hannah Brown.
Starting point is 01:15:39 And I think they've failed at doing so. I think Taylor will have her own way of doing that, but I think Taylor is very spunky and fiery. And she's, I mean, some of her scenes and secret lives of standing up and confronting some of her peers are iconic. But she's also incredibly humble. Like she has this natural star power, and she really knows how to be humble.
Starting point is 01:16:04 And it doesn't come across as, like, false humility. Like, she doesn't care about the shiny things. Like, she just wants to, like, be at home with her kids, like, eating Taco Bell and wearing crocs, which I think is just, like, so far from what Bachelor has ever casted that it's like, will be refreshing. And she's not afraid of being messy, you know, she's not trying to be perfect. I mean, that's, that's why, I mean, she's going to be exceptional because I think we already know that she is not, I'd be shocked. And there's always the possibility. I know Taylor's been a fan of the Bachelor franchise for a long time. And even though I think she's bigger than the show, like the Bachelor franchise has a legacy that might, you know, could be intimidating.
Starting point is 01:16:45 I don't suspect it's going to influence how Taylor moves. So to that end, we already know that she's not going to like become the Bacheloret and become so brand conscious and like, and chains who she is because now she's under this pressure of being the Bachelorette. I would be very surprised if she succane to that pressure because she is already a really big star. She's already faced criticism and scrutiny. And, yeah, I think all of that really is behind her for the most part. Yeah, and I feel like we're going to see a very authentic Taylor Frankie Paul. It will be exciting to watch somebody who will not be nervous to be the lead of this show,
Starting point is 01:17:26 you know, like to step into this. but I do think it could be a little bit different in the sense that she isn't she hasn't been a cast member so she can be a fan of the show but there is a world where you know you are going to be dating 30 people at once and I'm sure they're going to have controversy and like how does she navigate that and handle it because one of the most helpful things to me was to remember myself in that position I think that's it's not that's not going to help her and here's the other side that I think is really important that won't help her is the fact that this is a whole new production team. They don't know how the show goes. Like, they don't necessarily know how this operates when things get chaotic. This whole team is new. They've never worked a season before other than the golden, which is a completely different beast.
Starting point is 01:18:12 Well, not even, no, not, they've only worked Paradise. That's not, it's not the same team that's doing Golden or did Golden. So they haven't even done that. So to your point, they haven't done a traditional bachelor, bachelorette format. The showrunner now is the one who recently did Paradise. and I thought it was like mildly entertaining. It was kind of... Do you and Jess keep up with it at all?
Starting point is 01:18:34 Did you all watch? Did y'all watch? Yeah, I watch. Jess doesn't really watch. She watches The Secret Lives, but she doesn't watch, like, the Bachelor franchise too often. She likes the Golden to, like, check in on. Yeah. But we watched Paradise. I thought it was fine.
Starting point is 01:18:49 I mean, I, you know, there was elements that I really enjoyed. But there was also, I think it took them four episodes to even, get in a groove and figured out the first four episodes felt like almost throwaways to me yeah i could totally agree and then all of a sudden the season changed completely and to your point they could you know it wouldn't be the first time that um the people making that show um you know Taylor's not a control of her edit right they sometimes overthink things they sometimes water down their leads you know for the sake of you know whatever it is they're worried about you know bachelor and Paradise used to be really funny and kind of it didn't take itself so seriously. I just hope they let
Starting point is 01:19:33 Taylor Frankie Paul be Taylor Frankie Paul. And if we see a different version of her, I'm going to blame the producers and the editors and not Taylor. Yeah. Because you do have to worry about the Warner Brothers, you know, crossover. Yeah. Anyway, Ben, you have, you have your book. You're re-releasing it. You're adding to it. Explain to my audience what's new about your book alone in plain sight. I know you've, you've headed out for a while, but now that you are a new dad, you've added to this and you're re-releasing it. Is that accurate? Yeah. You know, you came out with your book and it was a success. I came out with my book and it was a failure. And I don't like to sit in failures for too long. I think part of it was a failure because I think a lot of people from the Bachelor franchise
Starting point is 01:20:19 has come out with books and I don't think it's always the best idea. And I didn't write this book to be another bachelor book. Just like you didn't write your book to be another bachelor book. And unfortunately, if I were to make an excuse for alone in plain sight, I wrote it for two years and it came out on the February in the middle of COVID. So a book about connecting humans together and sharing human stories, sharing my story along with six others who have been really influential my life came out in a time where nobody was connected nobody could meet up and talk about it nobody could go to the bookstores and buy it i was doing book readings through zoom and it's been one of the projects that i put the most effort in and because of when it
Starting point is 01:21:07 was launched how it was launched and the lack of response to it i've just sat for you know three years really and been really sad about it uh and it sits on my desk and i'm still proud of it And so a publisher came to me or the publisher that published it the first time and said, hey, this, I think was just a really bad timing scenario. I don't think it got the breath it deserved. Would you be interested in re-releasing it with some big updates in your life? Like a marriage and a child and the continuation of a career and a coffee business that still exist? And talk about these things that have happened since then.
Starting point is 01:21:46 And then let's try to re-release it. And that's really where this came from. I believe in this book, mostly because it's a letter to myself and a letter to others. And I want to give it a second chance. And so that's why we're re-releasing it. And I'm really excited to do it. That's awesome. And it comes out October 7th?
Starting point is 01:22:03 Yeah. Yeah. We'll come out October 7th. I'm hosting an event called MomCon, which is where moms get together in Orlando, Florida. And that's where we're going to do like a pre-release from. We're going to sell first copies at that because, honestly, I can't think. of a better demo for me to release a book. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Well, listen, Ben, I think, you know, speaking of timing and things like that, I think the world now more than ever needs to be reminded of the importance of human connection. And I think the feeling of feeling alone is pretty prevalent in our society today. And so anyone who reads Ben's book will certainly, I think, be able to relate to a lot of your experiences. And obviously, you've always been a good role model and a good example of how to move through life. And just a reminder of this, the happiness, having your community and your people can bring to you, whether it's a husband or a wife and having children or your found family, as people like to say. I just think nowadays, people need a reminded to get off their phones,
Starting point is 01:23:08 get into their communities, connect with people, connect with friends. So I think this is a great time for your book to get back out in the wild and excited for you to re-release it. Thank you, guys. Thanks for, let me come on, talk about our past lives and then also what's going on today. It's always good to see you too. We miss you guys. River and Winnie haven't even met yet. Like, what is going on?
Starting point is 01:23:31 Can people pre-order this re-release, Ben? Yeah, they can pre-order at Ben Higginsbook.com. You can get on there, pre-order it. There's also going to be, most of those are going to be signed unless we just have a massive of success and I haven't signed enough yet, which would be awesome. And if I haven't, then I would love to sign any that come through. But yeah, Ben Higginsbook.com. Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Yeah, and then our daughters can meet. You look very dangerous with the facial hair and the goatee, Ben. I like it. Is this new? So let's take a lazy look, helping me look a little older. If I shave, it look like a little baby, trying to bring in the, like, more gritty look this winter. Yeah, I like it.
Starting point is 01:24:11 A little, yeah. Thank you. Thank you, Nick. I appreciate that. I want to look dangerous. Yeah, same. So did Nick, and he, that's why I have butterfly tattoos. Ben, it's always good to talk to you, buddy.
Starting point is 01:24:25 Excited to catch up with you in person. Go check out Ben's book, Ben Higginsbook.com, where you can pre-order it.
