Starting point is 00:00:13 What's going on everybody? Welcome back to another exciting episode of the Vial Files Reality Recap Edition. I'm your host, Nick, joined by my... Your um? Playful. He does this every time, guys. He cannot think of any adjectives to explain his wife.
Starting point is 00:00:32 And he always is like, beautiful gorgeous. Beautiful, gorgeous, sexy wife, Nally Joy. And then, like, that wasn't good enough. It kind of got to where I was like, am I only beautiful, gorgeous and sexy? Yeah, like, am I not funny, smart, and funny and intelligent and kind and brave and sensitive. She did get me a thesaurus for Christmas.
Starting point is 00:00:53 And really good of dominoes. Really good of dominoes. I have yet to crack open the thesaurus. Playful. She is super playful. She is joyful. Very silly. Triumphant.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Chill. She's chill and playful. Yeah. Wow. Get a girl who could do both. Get a girl who can do both. Kid the girl who's She's easy going but still fun.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Yes. Well, you do here are two guests in studio at the Lakehouse. Our first Lakehouse guest, Tate and Tyler. Well, playful Tyler. Tate and Tyler Cameron. Sounds weird, everyone. You don't like leading? I don't know about it.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Hey, everybody. Tate and Tyler Cameron. T.T. Dynamite. I'm here with my beautiful, gorgeous, sweet, Tate. Sweet. Ooh. See, beautiful, gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:01:40 beautiful gorgeous It flows off the tongue I get it We also have Susie Evans with us And Sierra and Mary And Justin are back In LA
Starting point is 00:01:50 In studio I hope you guys all Had a very happy holiday Whatever holiday You celebrated We're Christmas people We are We are
Starting point is 00:01:58 The way you said that Was like Don't worry Just We rock with Christmas So You know where we stand Did you guys
Starting point is 00:02:09 Did you guys have great holiday? I did. I did too. Very relaxed and I loved it. Yeah, mine was great. I feel like, you know, lots of family stuff, lots of drama. Did you get into here? Do you have family drama?
Starting point is 00:02:22 Always, yeah. I mean, not always, but, you know, just like thrilling. Like the group chat's going crazy, you know? I can't really, yeah, I wish I could speak on our family drama. Same. There are some. God, how could I say this? I don't think I could.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Decisions are being made. Oh, when decisions, oh, God, when families make decisions. And there's one part of the family where decisions being made in one direction. And there's the other side of the family where they think that decision should be very different. That's tough.
Starting point is 00:03:05 And when your family's that big, it's like a village making decisions, not just a family. It's a whole town. Yeah. Does everyone know how many siblings you actually have? They should at this point. I mean, if you're new, the show, welcome.
Starting point is 00:03:16 It's a lot. It's got 10 siblings. It's a lot. Welcome to the show. I'm sure every episode we have a... One or two new ones, Trinkle in. But most of them brought also their significant others. So it was a very full packed house up here at the lake house.
Starting point is 00:03:32 You guys hosted everybody, basically. All were welcomed. And some came. didn't. Yeah, like somewhere, yeah. Some have, you know, they have their own families. So I'd say all but four. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:48 And then some brought their significant others. Nice. It's interesting because it's my house. I don't like where this is going. Yeah. Yeah. Anything that starts with my is never going to end well. My parents have graciously, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:09 They actually sold the house I grew up into my brother. So keeping that in the family. So that's cool. I don't know if I'll ever go back. Should go back. No, that's right. And so my parents live here at the lake full time. And so part of the renovation was to, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:26 they have a very nice side of the house. And they graciously take care of this house for us, you know, so they do a lot for us. We really appreciate it. But my siblings come here as if they're still visiting mom and dad at mom and dad's house and not like coming to their brother Nick's new house
Starting point is 00:04:44 and so like how they move is like is if they're home you know what I'm saying where mom does everything mom does everything it's so funny Nick will like cook for like us you know like Nick cooks for us at home in LA you know like cooks for
Starting point is 00:05:00 his family he's the cook of the family and he'll cook and then all of a sudden everyone starts trinkling upstairs like oh dinner's ready great it's like well Well, for us. But that's just like the classic, I feel like family fight of like, you ate my food, you took my, you know, like. Oh, yeah. Classic.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Anyway. 100%. Classic. It wouldn't be family if you weren't fighting over leftovers. I'm happy to cook for them. I did for most meals. But like after they're there for like four or five days. Maybe chipping.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Right. I feel like three to four days is kind of the max. Like if I. Two. Two. That's fair. But if I get three, it's like, okay, we've gotten. we needed and then at four you start to push it a little bit yeah yeah everyone starts to be a little
Starting point is 00:05:44 more opinionated well again when you're at mom and dads I think it's four makes sense you go back home yep but you ain't home no more you're at nick's house you're at nick and natalie's anyways we had a great holiday and we are very excited to have our friends Tyler and Tate here uh who decided to uh join us for the the holidays I won't be eating the rest of the trip yeah Yeah, we're excited to have them. I mean, we have a couch open, figured they would join us. We do have a pretty great week lined up, given that it is a shortened week for the holidays. Because tomorrow we have a going deeper that kind of fell into our lap, literally.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Was asked to be offered up on a silver place. We're like, hey, we have Jared Osman and Brittany Bateman on tomorrow. Jared reached out and was like, hey, I want to come on. Like, I'm getting heat out in the wild. He's like, I'm getting booed at airports. Oh, no. That's tough.
Starting point is 00:06:51 And obviously, he's taking some beatings online. Certainly some of which are at least perceived by his own doing, you know. Some of those DMs he sent to people, some of those scenes he filmed. the walk and talk this season there are some tough looks for Jared but him and then so we asked Brittany to come she showed up
Starting point is 00:07:17 and the first I don't know the first bits with Jared and I just just curious to know him this is not like a Jordan episode and then we actually we record Brittany watching my interview with Jared to get her reactions which is kind of fun
Starting point is 00:07:33 oh I love that that's very fun And then Brittany joins us and we all have a fun chat. It's a wild episode. I'm excited for you guys to listen to it. That's tomorrow. And then today, yeah, we got Potomac and we got some headlines and we got some chatting about it's New Year's the end of the year. We did it.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Goodbye 2025. We did it. What a year. It went by really fast. I feel like it only went by super fast because having a child, like River has just, I like look at her at the beginning of this year. and then I look at her now and I'm like, how did that happen? Think about how different our lives are.
Starting point is 00:08:11 It's crazy. In a year, it's crazy. How different are your lives? We're much the same. Yeah, not much has changed in this camp. Not much wrestle devil going on over here. We got a new dog. That's a big deal.
Starting point is 00:08:29 We did. We got another dog. Third one. We are growing our family. Tate delivered. Yeah. It's beautiful. Growing your business.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yes, yes. Didn't you redo your home? We did. Your home is gorgeous. Your home is incredible. That's been like the last two and a half years. So, you know, it's mixed into this year. But yeah, we did the reveal of the home this year.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Everyone, the reaction was very good. I think that we were both nervous to put it out there and it found out great. Definitely putting out your home is like... A very personal, you know, for people to be like... Oh, yeah. Like, oh, you picked that wallpaper or that marble or people are very opinionated. There was some lady that you follow or your kitchen, which I thought it was like a nice. She did a good job renovating, but people were just coming for her kitchen. I was like, damn, like, you know, and she probably loves that kitchen and it's a nice kitchen.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Just like, how could you do that? It's like you made it plain. You made it worse. Like, you know, because minimalistic like is in or, you know, maybe it's going out now. Everything's getting a little bit more maximalized. Yeah, but when you hear negative comments about your house and then you're like living in the house, you're just like reminded of the negative comments all day every day.
Starting point is 00:09:51 It sounds like going on reality TV for the first time. Yeah. Right. You're like, you thought you're like a pretty decent looking person. You're like, my nose is Instagram. Yeah. I don't. Why didn't I see that before?
Starting point is 00:10:01 Well, how was your Christmas neck? Are you happy with what you received? I got a truly magical Christmas experience. Yeah, menthol crystals. He did get menthol crystals. For the sauna, yes. The son of that Chris Vial, my dad built, left his bare hands.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Which is so cool. I got a beautiful piece of artwork from a very talented artist. And it was a drawing of what used to be the Williamsburg Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. where we met. And yeah, it was a cute little drawing. And so we're going to put that up at the lake.
Starting point is 00:10:40 It honestly was such a thoughtful gift, and it turned out great. It's like where everything started. Then I got some well-made t-shirts and staples. I was unfortunately a little disappointed on Christmas morning. Not with me. Not with Nick. To be clear, not with Nick. We opened our gifts on Christmas Eve after everyone had gone to bed,
Starting point is 00:11:02 after we had become Santa and filled the stockings and built the toys. We had a little nice moment ourselves and opened our gifts. But then on Christmas morning, the way that I grew up is obviously I'm with, it was me, my mom, my three siblings. And like I woke up very early. I was the youngest. I was always like the most excited for Christmas. And I remember I would wake up and be like, it's Christmas and like run into everyone's
Starting point is 00:11:28 room. Like everyone would come into the living room. bad breath, messy hair, PJs. Everyone, like, finds their spot in the chair, on the couch, on the floor, wherever you're sitting. Your stocking is waiting for you. Everyone opens their stocking at once. And then me as the elf, or maybe my mom, would pass out everyone's presence. And then you would sit and it would open one at a time.
Starting point is 00:11:52 And you'd go around the room and everyone would, like, watch you open and be like, oh, cute, cool. And then it'd go to the next older sibling, whatever. Then we'd make a big beautiful breakfast, maybe mimosa's once we got a little older, you know. It was a whole beautiful morning. Well, I woke up here. Rivers obviously awake. It's me, Nick River. Nick's parents come out.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Rivers like seeing her kitchen. We got her a cute little kitchen, Santa did. And she's like looking at it and playing with it. And I'm kind of like, okay, like where's everybody at, you know? And they're like, oh, yeah, like someone's in the shower. Someone's there. A couple people are getting ready for church. I'm like, what do you guys mean getting ready for church?
Starting point is 00:12:36 They're like, yeah, we're going to go to the nine o'clock service. We're going to leave here in about 10 minutes. Like, so no one's going to like come and open their gifts. It's like, we'll do it when we get back. We'll just kind of sprinkle them in throughout the day. Like, really? Okay. Well, I guess y'all, you all have fun.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Then a couple people come in and then they're like, I guess we'll just like, what, scramble some A? Everyone just want a big batch of scrambles. eggs. I'm like, oh, God, that's what we're doing. It's like, I'm like, where is the Christmas magic and the joy? And I'm like, Nick, what is this? And he's like, listen, we just got to make it happen. He's like, guys, we're not doing eggs. Let's do something special. Pancakes, should we make pancakes? A waffle? A waffle bar? Something. So Nick makes chocolate chip, chocolate chip pancakes. freshly squeezed orange juice.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Wow. But still, you know, everyone kind of just like trinkled in throughout the day and like would open their presence. I realized this is, I guess in a way my fault. But it is the product of like this is like we,
Starting point is 00:13:45 you know, Natalie and I are trying to start our traditions. And this is our, well, we were at the lake house last year when it was the old old place. And then it was just me and my parents and Nali's mom.
Starting point is 00:13:59 And so we did our thing. We did exactly that. And I was only barely even one years old. So it was really just for us. Christmas before that, I was pregnant, couldn't travel. We were in a life. Yeah. So this is the first family family Christmas.
Starting point is 00:14:14 But like, and I guess I kind of just, everything now I described, we've done. We did. We did. You know, but like everyone's an adult now. And so and then my siblings, you know, again, they're back. they're adults. But yeah, I think this, you know, everyone was an adult. I didn't think of it.
Starting point is 00:14:35 And I just, yeah, I assume that they would, the adults would still want to wake up and exchange some presents. But now they want to savor it, I guess. They want to. I want to savor it. Your mom was like, it's always been an all day thing. No, it hasn't.
Starting point is 00:14:49 My mom will do that. Do your parents do that? Well, they'll be like, we've always done this. And I'm like, no, we didn't. No, we didn't. Literally never. My dad tells people all the time, oh, he actually takes to take my kids at Jackson, Ohio, Wyoming every year for Christmas.
Starting point is 00:15:04 And I heard him saying to somebody one time. I think he was saying it to me. And I go, dad, we've done that one time. But in his brain, he's taking us to like six trips there because it sounds good. Okay. But this is literally just like Tyler, the other day goes, yesterday goes, oh yeah, the other day I made this like Korean barbecue and Tate's like, when? And he's like, remember it was like, she's like, that was January.
Starting point is 00:15:28 It was over a year ago. If it's still in the same year, it constitutes as it the other day. The other day. Anyways. The apple doesn't fall. Well, you know, my parents, many of the siblings have been adults for a while. So in my mom, my mom's brain, maybe like the past couple years, it was an all-day thing. And maybe she just doesn't remember.
Starting point is 00:15:49 I also feel like moms try to like manipulate or I don't know if manipulate the word, but they're like try to get everyone to get along. They're like, oh, yeah. Like, I don't know. This is what we've always done. Don't worry about it. Because the group. Yeah, your parents will gaslight you into harmony. Into harmony.
Starting point is 00:16:06 That is exactly what they do. No, they're just like they love you so much. That's how they want to expect. You know how it is. They're eating all your food. They love your cooking. You're such a good cook. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:20 The holidays are just like a place where people get together and figure out like what the algorithm's been showing them. Yes. But I think it also. does go to show that like moms really are the heroes of holidays and like just make it they make it so magical and so special and like that's what I think about when I was like my mom was the one who was like yeah making the cinnamon roll the homemade cinnamon rolls and getting them mimosa's and you know they do everything they do everything he was getting so frustrated with my siblings during
Starting point is 00:16:51 Christmas because he's like I couldn't stand just sitting on the couch while all your siblings like, mom, like, where's the biscuits and gravy? And, like, my mom had stayed up all night, like, wrapping all the guests. My mom did not sleep. She made the nicest wrapping ever, bows on everything. We're all grown adults, by the way, too. Just to add that. And then complaining at 1130 that the biscuits and gravy isn't ready.
Starting point is 00:17:15 I was like, oh, God. Yeah. No, they're assholes. I mean, what are you going to do? What are you going to do? Well, I wish y'all could tell us what y'all got each other for Christmas, but you'll have an open gifts yet. No.
Starting point is 00:17:27 We have not. No. Wow. I will say this though about Tate. Like I am the Grinch on Christmas. Like, because holidays are tough for some people. Yeah. And I think like that's kind of like what you guys get in this house, you know, that you don't even realize.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Like some siblings feel certain ways about how things have gone probably in the past during Christmas or feel certain ways about relationships and whatnot. And for my family, like, there's been three Christmases like where my dad's been in the hospital, you know. And so it's like every Christmas. so someone always holding my breath or we were always broke and like my mom was like she was doing anything she could. I'm like for me Christmas has always been tough. You know, which so like I'm always like, oh great, here's Christmas again. I got to, you know, even my mom's family and like it's like fractured relationships like yours. I was like great. I got to hang around these people. Which is getting better. But so it's hard, you know, for some people. And for me, I'm always like, ugh. But this year like,
Starting point is 00:18:23 like, Tate, I feel like has really like brought. about that spirit for me in the sense. What did she do? How did she do that? I think part of it had to do with like, you know, we tried to do the angel tree. It didn't work out. So I was like, let's just do our own Christmas toy drive. And then just to see how excited she got for all these toys and to see her wrap all these toys and really go for it. And then to like see the response on these families. I'm like, oh, that's what this is what it's about. You know, it's like making other people happy and feeling great about
Starting point is 00:18:52 that moment of that day. And for me, I was like, okay, that's my. mission like if I'm like always worried or feel different about Christmas like I can at least get joy from making other people feel good about it so yeah I think also I don't know how you are you ladies are I feel like you ladies are better at supporting each other as as single women in this type of thing because like I think it's single guys it's like if you're in your 20s 30s and you're single guys I mean other than your families to Tyler's point but even then as you get older. Like if you're not lucky to have that like family unit, like there's no one like getting you in the Christmas spirit. It's not your, it's not your bros. You're not exchanging gifts and like
Starting point is 00:19:34 yeah, girls do like secret Santa's and like having little Christmas parties and celebrating the spirit. Like so I think as a single guy, if you don't have that nucleus, it's easy to kind of just be like, oh, I'm Christmas. I don't know. I'm not a child. Like, you know, to like to embrace the season, you know, all the traditions, the music. You're, Yeah, you don't put on like background Christmas jazz. No, it was going to the bar. Yeah, the number of Christmas that I had without a Christmas tree at my place were, I don't know, many. You're kind of like, what's the point?
Starting point is 00:20:08 Now I'm in October. Now I have five trees. Yeah. It's called growth. Yeah. Do y'all, are y'all people who set New Year's resolutions and like follow through with them? We wanted to start that this year. We actually printed out.
Starting point is 00:20:23 we haven't done it. So it's going great. But we printed out these little worksheets that we found on different questions to ask ourselves about questions. Kind of like a annual review of like 2025. Yeah. Then what's like what you want to set for 20, 26 and whatnot? But it's questions that we answer for ourselves and then also questions that relate to our relationship and then also other questions that relate to things that I see and him that I would be like, hey, I would love if you helped out more with this or, you know, I think you, you know, did the best but this this year. Like, you should keep it going. So yeah, yeah, yeah. It would be cool if we actually did it, but. Well, you have some time still. Yeah. I mean, tomorrow. You're both on board to do it.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Yeah. I think like half the battle. Yeah. Well, I think we have so much going on in our lives. As do you guys, everyone here, it's like if you don't kind of create that vision, it's easy to kind of get lost and be all over the place and not really you know and so i kind of want us to focus on like what is our goals together independently and like what so we can create that vision have anyone have a like a new year's resolution they really stuck to or one that you really i guess didn't or the craziest one you tried any of those we'll do i feel like annually i'm like it's gonna be my fittest year yet and actually i did get really fit last year lost it back to back to square one perfect But I did get very fit.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Susie, I definitely, I relate to that mindset where now that I'm not, like, I'm fine. I'm fine. Yeah. I'm fine. But I am not like, I used to be like looking for reasons to take my shirt off. You know what it's like. And I tell myself two years. And I tell myself two years removed from Christmas party, shirt off.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Special forces, as you know, Tyler. I will get in the mindset of like, you know, like right before my birthday this year, I was like, you know what? I'm going to get fucking back in the gym. I'm going to like fucking crush it. I'm going to I'm going to really go. And in my head, it seems like it wouldn't be that hard. It seems reachable. It seems doable.
Starting point is 00:22:37 I'm like, I'm like, should I take it before and after? Should I start now? The amount of before photos that I have in my camera. Same girl. Same. There are so many of them. They're all befores. All befores.
Starting point is 00:22:51 I have not finished one before. We tried to do 75 hard at the start of last year. We last three weeks. What's that? 75 hard? 25 is good. You have to do two workouts a day. One of them has to be outside.
Starting point is 00:23:04 You have to drink a gallon of water. You have to read. Hydration. I will say, though, the hydration thing, people nonstop are coming to tape. Your skin looks amazing. What are you doing? What are you doing? Your skin looks like.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Yeah. I don't know why I don't embrace something that should be relatively easy. Yeah. Drinking water. It honestly is so hard though because you just because you have to pee every two seconds. But the amount of compliments I got on my skin and it does make you feel really good. So, I mean, drink your water, people. So you just work out twice today.
Starting point is 00:23:41 One has to be outside and drinking out in the water. 10 pages of a book. 10 pages of a book. It has to be a self-help book. Oh, my God. And then what's? What about food? What do you eat?
Starting point is 00:23:49 Oh yeah. And then you can pick any diet. So you just, you know, find a diet on Pinterest. I think we tried to do. We tried to do like the Mediterranean diet. Um, you could do whole 30, whatever you. But we were like, it was like 11.30 and night. And you just have to stick with it for 75 days.
Starting point is 00:24:04 It was like 11.30 at night. We were like, shit. We didn't get our workout. So we're like walking the dogs. Yeah. We like didn't get our second outside workout. And so it was literally like midnight. We were like walking around the neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Ooh. I don't really hold each other accountable. Because like the whole mindset is like is like, is like, like moments like that where you're like oh shit we still got to get something in even if it's a walking your dog it's still like it's just doing the thing that you're committed to
Starting point is 00:24:27 they show how to each other accountable I'd be like Nick let's just like watch a movie yeah and then it was his birthday and it just went down the pooper after that so I was going to say isn't it like if you miss one day of it you have to start over back at one you say you have to start over
Starting point is 00:24:42 who's like who's 75 the man in the mirror no anyone who's ever finished it that I know they always say they're like it was the best thing ever did. Oh yeah, no drinking either. Oh yeah, no drinking. Well, I'm excited to see what we do this year, babe. Every year we have a year. I'm always like, I don't know how we could top it, but so far. I know. This will be a good one. And I'm excited for this year too. I didn't know how we'd top like birth of our daughter wedding. Oh, yeah. Like 2024 was like such a great year. And then it was like, how do we top that? Oh, let's just like. top it and then we did. It's like, oh, here's an idea. That was easy.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Well, I think when y'all did this house here, like, that's an incredible. It's a vial legacy. Yeah. You like the house? Plant your flag. No, it's insane. This house, you guys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Like, that's an incredible thing to accomplish this year. And you guys should be very proud of that. And all the finishes, I will say, I have been looking around. And I, it is exquisite. Yeah, it's going to make our next renovation very expensive. Guys, thank you very much. I'm like, look at these, the detail. Just there's no.
Starting point is 00:25:50 No wall unplastered. Yeah. But no tile out of place. Like, everything is so well done. So, kudos to you guys. Should be very proud. You're a lot of you guys who do it yourselves, you know. Our favorite part of the holidays is spending time with our family from baking cookies, decorating the house, and walking around the neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Everyone seems to be in the holiday spirit. And there's nothing that gets us in the spirit more than a Starbucks holiday beverage. Now that we have River, I'm really trying to create. create memories and traditions that she will carry on throughout her life. And something that I'm really loving doing, we did it last year. And obviously we're going to do it again this year. But it's going to Starbucks, getting a holiday drink, and then driving through the neighborhoods and looking at all the Christmas lights on all the houses and seeing all the houses decorated and like the blowups and everyone's front yard and like sipping on our warm, hot.
Starting point is 00:26:39 I look forward to that. Holiday drink. Also back in my sales days when I worked from home, I'd always go to a Starbucks and work because I wanted to get out of the house. And definitely during the holiday season, I get my peppermint mocha. And you just kind of see people coming in, like different, you kind of feel the holiday energy with people coming in during Christmas time. It was always really enjoyable. I really had to get out of the house when I was stuck at home working. Well, the peppermint mocha is a Starbucks signature espresso combined with steam mount, mocha sauce and peppermint flavored syrup is topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls. What more could you ask for?
Starting point is 00:27:11 Delicious. It's honestly how I learned to drink coffee. This is my first Starbucks drink ever. A peppermint mocha. Yeah. We used to, when I worked there, we would put Restredo shots in it, and we would, like, mod it a bit. Well, it was a white chocolate mocha, and then during the holiday season, I transferred over to the peppermint. There's no better feeling than when the cups turn red at Starbucks. I know. That is so true.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Another favorite of mine is the Carmel Brulet Latte. That one is so good. Yeah. That's my favorite. The Carmel Brelet is Starbucks' signature espresso. It's topped with whipped cream and caramel brulee topping. Rediscovered the little moments of joy that make the holidays brighter. at Starbucks. Step into the warmth of the season with a visit to Starbucks where every sip
Starting point is 00:27:50 makes the holidays feel a little bit more special. Well, don't forget, together is the best place to be. Connect over your holiday favorites at Starbucks. Starting point is 00:29:02 That's gramly.com slash podcasts. Do we got some headlines roll into? Yeah. I was going to say, speaking of expensive, did you guys see the anthropology rock trend? Yeah, did anyone get an anthropology rock? I wish. You know, I did not get your anthology rock. Darn it.
Starting point is 00:29:19 You know, just some silly girls are getting together and they're like pranking their families and going out and picking a rock from the yard and then being like, oh my gosh, this is what I've been wanting. It's been sold out. I've been on the wait list. How did you find it? It's so expensive. And then all the men are like, it's just a rock. Yeah. It's not just a rock.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Spongebop, anyone? But like, who? What's the point? Who's tricking who? It's a prank. We're tricking the guy. Well, guys always think girls are interested in just really dumb things. Like, we get very excited, which I think is.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I would never say that. I think it's beautiful the way that girls get giddy about very simple, dumb things. We also get. No. Gitty about simple dumb things. Maybe you, Nick. I was like, that's dumb as hell. Nick is a really good giddy.
Starting point is 00:30:07 I want to describe Nick is getting giddy. I don't know what giddy means, but like I do get excited sometimes. But like sports Like yeah Go sports Here's my question What is the The real life version of that rock
Starting point is 00:30:21 Like for women or for men That's a good question Most things Skin care This also would have been very funny For you and I to do to Nick If I would have Thought about it
Starting point is 00:30:34 Oh I could have exchanged on air Like I brought this to you Yeah yeah yeah Wow yeah we should plan ahead Instead I just burnt your I was going to put it on the mantle if it's worth that much
Starting point is 00:30:46 Nick would have been like period wow good job finding that Tate people would come in the lake husband like in this rock honestly maybe the best piece here we just never tell him
Starting point is 00:30:58 he's got like the box with like the light inside of it like glow I can be gaslit I can the cute thing about that trend is that the power of a mom or a woman like improving
Starting point is 00:31:09 like they bring out the the tears the Oscar winning award acting. Like, Heartless, yes, hand. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yes. Which also, like, it kind of is a little frightening because those are the women that raised us, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's terrifying. Yeah. But I feel like maybe it is a good thing.
Starting point is 00:31:30 It is. Yeah. That's true. I feel like for men, it's like playing cards, like sports cards. Even memorabilia. Oh, yeah,
Starting point is 00:31:39 that's stupid. I bought, I was drunk at an auction. I bought all this. sports memorabilia and Tate's like that is the dumbest thing ever. No, I feel like it's like yells fantasy football. Y'all are like, oh, sick, I'm in the playoffs. And it's like, no, you're not.
Starting point is 00:31:53 No, you're not. You're on your couch. You get to win money and talk shit. Also, I think the rock is equivalent, which, so sorry, people love this, but LaBoooooooooo. Yeah. So true. Yeah. Basically, any stuffed animal.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Yeah. that it has any type of additional value. Yeah. Other than the 1399 it should cost. NFTs. My parents used to collect Beanie babies. NFTs. Okay, don't.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Not too much on Pokemon cards. Someone just got offended her with Pokemon cards? Yeah, I said Pokemon cards a little bit. I don't think they're worth anything, but I think they're cool. Listen, it is worth what you're willing to pay for it. Period. That's a life lesson. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:41 It's beautiful. remember back in the day, like on eBay, like people would be putting up like Justin Timberlake's chewed gum or like. Yes. Like hair from a haircut. Like a used tissue. Yeah. And it would be like 13,000, 20,000. One influencer I remember did, um, her face mask.
Starting point is 00:33:00 And somebody bought it for over a million dollars. I'm like, creeps. I've been collecting Tyler Cameron tissues since he's been up at the lake. Those will be up on eBay. That's a confession. Momentarily. Hey, Jack Taylor made a lot of money from doing stuff like. A very snotty guy.
Starting point is 00:33:14 For those who are curious. Do you have a wiki feet score? It's got to be bad. Yeah, it's like a 5-0. Look at these dogs. That's good. No, five is high. They're actually so scary.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Someone Google it. It's got to be wrong. All right. Let's check it out. Are you all got it over there? We're going to look it up. Do we have a foot off? Yeah, that's second.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Damn, Nick, you got big feet. What's our shoe you were? He's also tall like you would be weird if he had tiny feet, like this big tall man with a little tiny feet. But he's at like thick feet. What? You know what that means? Per.
Starting point is 00:33:47 His big toe makes my little toe look small, don't it? Five stars. He has five stars? Tyler Kimmer and is five out of five stars. Not even a four point. Who, Tyler? Does he have one of those? That's just because you're a fan favorite, bro.
Starting point is 00:34:00 That's bullshit. It's five stars and then it has a screenshot from our interview with you like a year ago. No, I was wondering if I was barefoot in that interview. Do you always show your feet on the show? Oh, my God. Do you ever wear shoes? That's happened here.
Starting point is 00:34:13 I mean, he came on naked one time, so I doubt. No, this is on Wiki feet with a black box. Oh, yeah. On that very couch. Okay, let's look at, let's look up. But these are proportioned. Nick's got a piece of it. That's the case.
Starting point is 00:34:28 4.98. What? 4.9. It's pretty good. 4.9. 9. 8 out of 5? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:35 There's just no way that that second toe is beating. My man's perfectly slanted. That's a kink for some, you know? Oh, I guess. All right. Well, we're sending the people now. Like, go put your votes in. There's lots of...
Starting point is 00:34:48 You can't get back to a 5.0. If you can't, oh. But we could take Tyler down. We can even out the score. I'm not trying to be that person, but... But my... My wiki score is really low, so please take both of them out. Steve's trying to get on the couch.
Starting point is 00:35:07 He cannot figure out where to put his foot. Oh, no. Oh, here we go. Hi, Steve. Okay, here we go. All right, what else we got? This is how we sleep in our bed, by the way. With all three of y'all's dog.
Starting point is 00:35:19 Have you guys been seeing Taylor, Frankie Paul, like, post-wrapping The Bachelorette? No, she's back. She is feeding the frenzy. And I love it. As we knew she would. I'm eating it up to pieces. I think it's going to be a pretty good season. I think it's going to be the best.
Starting point is 00:35:36 We've heard some stuff, and we can't say much. But if what we heard is true, and we have no reason to think it's not. Buckle up. Buckle up. That it will be... The most dramatic. It's giving aspects that made Hannah Brown's season electric.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Mm-hmm. And things that made that season really work. Who was the runner up on her season? Didn't he, like, sucked. Yeah. He's washed. Washed up. But, yeah, I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:36:11 It seems... It seems like Taylor really embraced the role. And more than anything. I mean, she also, like, posted throughout and engaged a lot with production, which tells me that she was like, you know, she is a TV star. And unlike some other seasons where it's just like they're kind of getting a civilian who doesn't know how this works. And it's a weird conversation to go to someone and say, hey, listen, we really care about you in your love story. We do. It is a priority.
Starting point is 00:36:43 But we're also making a TV show. So like let's do this together and there's some give and take a little bit of that. And just to be able to understand that, like obviously Taylor gets that. She's a pro, you know, it's old hat for her. It's harder for some people who are the leads to really get that early on. And it's just kind of, Taylor's kind of suggesting that she's really amenable to like just being collaborative. and allowing things to happen, even, you know, because most people are so worried
Starting point is 00:37:14 how is this going to look, how is this going to look, what are people going to think, how is this going to look? And I think Taylor is... Yeah, I think that's... She's going to do her best. Yes, and she's going to let people in on the T. She's doing her part. I think she's also going to modernize the show.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Like, I think next year we'll see The Bachelor doing a lot of stuff while filming, and the Bachelor are doing a lot of stuff while filming because it keeps generating buzz before they would just go off the map and then we'd get a season and we didn't really know who this person was
Starting point is 00:37:41 because we didn't get to see them a lot on the last season and that's all we get of them so I think this is like really a cool way of doing it and it's so interesting she's really been posting with like all of her producers
Starting point is 00:37:51 like she like shabby has been in like every single one of her TikToks and it just really shows like yeah that like this is a TV show she trusts them it's a new era
Starting point is 00:38:01 I know but I also think her being mom talk and everything it's like she knows how to tease aspects of her life and not share too much. So it's like she was the perfect professional for this. Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:13 She recently posted a reel saying, me reading all the assumptions of what happened and can't speak a word on it. The caption was, let's just say I myself was shocked. And it's like, what were you shocked by? Did you get engaged?
Starting point is 00:38:22 Did you not? Like she knows how to like get us already being like March can't come quick enough. She's also pulling a classic with Taylor and Dakota doing like Dakota commenting on her post being like, can we finally be friends again? And then Taylor responded with, friends sounds like a really great fresh start.
Starting point is 00:38:45 And then within 24 hours, they unfollowed each other again. It's amazing. I love it. If Taylor is engaged. Never change. Or even if she's just not, she just has a boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Yeah. Imagine what it's going to be like for him to enter into her world where Dakota exists. I'm guessing they're going to be filming. Yeah. I'm guessing. Dream job.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Is Dakota the X? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. And I would imagine he would still film. Beyond the show. I'm assuming it's going to be like, hey, I do this thing. This is my life.
Starting point is 00:39:21 And that's kind of part of the. Now, he could always be like, hey, I'm all super comfortable, but can we slow play that? I mean, maybe he says that. Maybe. She seems more of a straight shooter, though, where she's like, hey, this is my world. Either come in it or don't, but like, this is my world. Yeah. Like, I feel like this was a very big topic of conversation throughout the season of Bachelorette. Like, I feel like we're going to see a lot of conversations of her being like, you're coming to Utah.
Starting point is 00:39:46 I have three kids. You're filming this show. Like, this is what my life is. If you want a part of it. That's, you know, heavy for some, but like, typical. But a TV show is like, how do you, I mean, he's already there filming a TV show. So maybe. But also, like, you can't, like, I feel like if you're at that point, right, you're on the show, you're on the show. you're accepting that she has kids. You're accepting that she lives in Utah, and that's probably where your life's going. Like, if you start backing out of it while you're on the show, you're going to look like an ass.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Yeah, it's like those are two very well-known things. I also, sorry, go ahead. Like announcing her before they cast it, you know, was like obviously the smartest thing they could have done because it's like who you're signing up to date, you know what their life is. Yes. Also, at the end of each season,
Starting point is 00:40:31 I feel like even though the lead has a little bit more, you know, Star power at the time, but at the same time, it's kind of this new thing for both of them, where this time I feel like it's a little bit different where she's already like a big star. She's already been in this light. It's going to be such a drastic change for the guy more so obviously than her who's already been in it where I don't know if that would be different where it's like you kind of go through it together rather than yeah. I had a few buddies. So before this, they were like trying to film like the Bachelor season or Taylor season and I feel like they were trying to do like the everyday guy to become the bachelor like pluck someone random out of America and I had like three buddies that were interviewing and they one and got really really far and then they flipped to Taylor and then they called them all back do you want to come be on Taylor show and I think they were all and all of them said no and I think because all of them were all very intimidated by who Taylor is and what that lifestyle or what that life could be I told them they're idiot
Starting point is 00:41:36 I was like, you all got to go on the tail of sweepstakes. Yeah. Like, this could be sick. This could change your life. How did you have three people in the running for that? I got some good guys. Listen, she's a bad bitch. Like, it, she is intimidating.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I'd be intimidated if I was a guy. Do you guys think that Brooks Nader would be a good bachelorette? Yes. I do. Yeah, probably. Yeah. Well, I mean, those conversations would be hilarious. She's always in the headlines.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Most recently. Naomi from Southern Charm is engaged to her ex Billy. Is Billy the golfer or what? He's a finance guy. Who's Billy? Yeah, finance guy. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:18 How do you know? I played Blackjack with him because I knew them when they were married. And then. High rollers table? No, no, no. Small guy table. That's why Brooke left. We were not in my roller room.
Starting point is 00:42:34 But yeah. He was always like a nice guy, but I think they got married when she was like 20 or something. Yeah. She's a baby, you know, and now she's a superstar. Well, I'm not a bad. Kind of funny, too, because Craig was just on Watch What Happens Live and Andy was trying to say that he wanted to set, or sorry, Brooks was on Watch What Happens Live and wanted to set Brooks in Craig up. And then she was like, I don't know who he is.
Starting point is 00:42:59 And it's like his ex is now engaged to her ex. So she knows who he is. Well, I think we also debunked that she probably does know who he is because she was like, my hair stylist does Paige's hair. And then it's like, well, if you know Paige, then you know Paige and Craig and about the breakup. I think she probably was just like I haven't like been a little snarky. Yeah. Like I don't know him. I don't know that man, Kiki Palmer. Sorry to that man. I do not know that man. Sorry to that man. But what was the thing you guys sent in the group chat about what Craig posted. Oh, I sent it. I mean, I've said honestly, I think he's iconic in different ways when he does this, but he's in his era of rage responding to comments on TikTok. He posted a TikTok of him working out and it said, don't forget to have fun. None of this shit really matters. Someone commented, Craig, this scared me. And he responded with a long essay, basically. And I'm just like, he's in an era of reading comments and, like, clapping back. The edit was interesting. It was like giving Capka edit with like lots of flash photography and like a little slow. He is having fun with his edits.
Starting point is 00:44:06 He commented back to Craig the scared me with what part of it, saying life is too short and to not forget to have fun. That shouldn't scare you. It should motivate you. The internet isn't real. Neither are the gossip circles that live on it. Short dopamine hits with online, from online interactions isn't what life is about. Go on an adventure. Go laugh with someone.
Starting point is 00:44:24 No one plans on getting in a car accident. Never know how much time you have left. Oh, shit. He's not wrong. He's not wrong. Period. He's been some wisdom. It's like a boomer response.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Hell yeah, Craig. It's giving like on-face-off, like boomer response. Yeah. Yes. I like boomer Craig. Boomer Craig works better for me than like fuck boy Craig. And you start to realize like it makes sense. What he's saying, it's like, yeah, you're totally valid.
Starting point is 00:44:53 It's like, yeah, grandpa. You're right. Yeah, I just wish they were maybe like shorter and sweeter and snarkier. responses if he's going to respond, you know? Like, we don't need the like... Natalie would like a little bit more wit from Craig. I would. I would like for, yeah, I'd like to maybe just be a little humor in there.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Yeah. I would argue that puts a... And I'm like, you know what? That's a thoughtful response. He takes everything to heart and he's, I feel like he's a little too serious. He knows. He's very earnest. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:19 And it's... That is what makes it great, though, like the earnest. Like, you don't really get like an earnest guy like that. An earnest influencer. In reality, like, especially in like Southern Charm and stuff too, they're all like, like, Craig is going to be earnest. Whether or not you like that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Or if it's, you know. He's got all. Well, no, yes. But I'm just saying in general, if I'm defending Craig, you know, he's got all these people, like, talking about him, chirping him. Yeah. It's definitely better to just ignore it. Yes. If he needs to, like, let it out.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Yeah. What are you saying, yes, Tate? This is a good outlet. Give you two beers. You're clapping back at everybody in the comments. Yeah. Tate. But I'm funny.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Yeah. Tate is funny. Yeah. You're clapping back? Oh my God, yes. Yeah. One day I was just like, I know you tell me not to, but let me just live for a second. Let me cook for a minute.
Starting point is 00:46:10 But it wasn't just her. Because we were all like at like Buffalo Wildlings for the family. Not a B-Doh. And we were all getting those Miller lights. And Tate was she starts ripping somebody. Then Emmy and then like the whole family starts just chirping everybody in the car. I'm like, this is crazy. I will say the.
Starting point is 00:46:29 the comments seemed funnier the night before. Like the next, you know, like you're with your family. Everyone's laughing. We're like, God,
Starting point is 00:46:36 we're getting them good. And then you wake up the next morning, you're like, wow, that really didn't land the way I thought it did. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:46:42 you're like, one day you're not going to be here any longer and you're going to listen to you're like, no, that's like going back and reading your old Instagram comments
Starting point is 00:46:49 and you thought you're like home with this comment slayed. Exactly. That was so funny. And you're like, what the fuck does this even mean? The old Facebook's
Starting point is 00:46:57 like statuses were the worst. I still wish I could rate my friends, I suppose. Oh, yeah. That means. Rate siblings. Yeah. That was savage. Well, now it is time for a new and exciting segment called sweet, spicy, and sour with Thrive Market. This is how it's going to work. We have a Thrive Market box filled with sweet, spicy, and sour snacks. As we eat each of these incredible and healthier alternative snacks, we will share what we thought was the sweetest, spiciest, and most sour moments from reality TV or headlines from the week. Well, I just love Thrive Market because it makes my wife's life easier, which makes my life easier.
Starting point is 00:47:31 You know, as parents now, we care about healthy eating. I'm taking, I'm doing less sugar. Rivers is snacking. She's snacking a lot. And we want to make sure we have healthy ingredients. And we get that all from Thrive and so much more. They do the ingredient vetting for you. They only carry trusted brands.
Starting point is 00:47:45 So you don't have to micromanage your ingredient reading, you know? You can just know that anything that Thrive has, it's probably good for you. My favorite part is the healthy swap scanner because I'm always like in the grocery store or looking at stuff online and finding things and I'm like, oh, I wonder if we're like this. And I don't have the time or the eyes to read the ingredient list. And so I just put it into Thrive Market's Healthy Swaps scanner and it gives me a better alternative. I found goodles from them, which is mac and cheese with protein in it and River absolutely loves it. So we are big Thrive Market fans in this household. Well, I am going to start off with our sweet moment. I, first of all,
Starting point is 00:48:21 the Pips Twist, the Cinnamon Sugar Twist, very much remind me. I was a big fan of the Taco Bell cinnamon twists, which who knows what they're putting in those. You know what I'm saying? But trusted from Thrive Market, these are made with avocado oil. They're gluten-free. They're just like full of deliciousness. And River absolutely loves them. And it's reminding me of Jen Affleck getting gifted her dancing with the stars dress from her husband's act. Which dress was it? How sweet? Her favorite one. Her favorite one. Oh, that one. Yeah. I loved that one. That's a great. That's a great. That's a great.
Starting point is 00:48:56 The French, the gold French one. We love that one. Iconic. Yeah. Zach has really won me back with that. Rivers, one of our favorite stacks here is what she refers to is the hop-hops. Hop-hops. The Annie's sour bunnies, gummies with real fruit juice.
Starting point is 00:49:13 We founded Ashley Darby, the queen that she is, had a little makeout sash and maybe more with Cherise's son. I get it. Honestly, good for her. They're 10 years apart. He's of age. Yeah, he's hot, she's hot. Are they even like really that good of friends, you know? And Cherise didn't seem that bothered by it.
Starting point is 00:49:32 But it was a little sour on Ashley's part. But also a little sweet, which these gummies also are. You get a little tangy. You're like, Izzy, you're like, ooh, oh. You know, it's that, and it's right in line with Ashley making it with a model. You could say her friend's son. I might just say a hot model. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:51 I got the spicy jalapeno. It reminds me of, uh, Christi. Oh my God. Christmas morning on the bean bag in Tate's basement. Okay, relax. Oh, wow. You heard it here first. It was a Christmas miracle.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Christmas present indeed. Got me excited. It was spicy jalapeno. Okay, I will see. These chips are really, really good. How spicy are they? They're like a little spicy, a little sweet. They're delicious.
Starting point is 00:50:21 And it reminds me of the sweet moment. with Tia and her half-sister in Potomac. That's my sweet moment of the week. I love that. Yeah, what are they made with? Oh, it says gluten-free. Soy-free, nut-free, dairy-free. What do they have?
Starting point is 00:50:37 Taste? Mm-hmm. Well, I feel like mine could go spicy or sweet, but Kim Kardashian spending over $100,000 on a Christmas gift, I believe, for Courtney. She got the P.B. Herman red bicycle. Wait, the actual Pee B. B. Herman? I think the actual.
Starting point is 00:50:53 I mean, that's what I would assume. unless they're selling dupes for 100K, but that's crazy. 125, I think. Well, I don't know if it's probably mostly in a sweet category. But I think really just more, I'm going to call it the pivot. It's just a classic. It's reliable. You can always count on it.
Starting point is 00:51:09 It's applesauce and some wonderful convenient pouches. Again, a river staple, just like our friends, Dakota and Tether Franklin Paul, who just classically will continue to give us drama. They'll serve it up. When we think they're moved on, they'll find their way back, even if it's just friends or not friends. They're friends for 24 hours. It's hard to tell. But always reliable, always there for you, Dakota and Taylor Frankie Paul and Applesauce.
Starting point is 00:51:38 And the Thrive Market organic applesauce is so good because it is literally zero sugar added. A lot of zeros up in here. Zero added sugars. We love that. Starting point is 00:52:06 Now it is time to put away these snacks and get into some Real Housewives of Potomac. Well, if you miss the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac, we do have a rapid recap reminder. Angel has Airbnb drama and maybe getting evicted because she was maybe only standing. in Potomac for the show. Therefore, Angel is mad that she's being made to play PE games after having eviction allegations thrown around. Stacey is mad that Charisse would talk to her while wearing lingerie to a family event, but she does like being saucy with Timu while working out. Also, apparently, Ashley Darby made out with Charisse's son Jackson, and everyone finds it extra weird that she told Charisse about it. Wendy and Eddie's next step in their renovation,
Starting point is 00:52:44 a pool, and also a closer relationship with Wendy's dad. They also have black toilet paper. Kay and Greg are officially officially moving back in together again to celebrate he got her a fancy picture frame. Also, the condo is still in her name. Tia has a half-sister that is also cool and British that she found out about in high school. Wendy's mom is really mad that she's talking to her dad
Starting point is 00:53:03 and they get into a huge fight. Wendy's upset that her sister always takes her mom's side anyway, Merry Christmas. That was a crazy fight between Wendy's mom. The end of the episode was so sad. It was really sad. It was sad. It just felt, I think especially watching it
Starting point is 00:53:17 like after spending the holidays and stuff with family and obviously whatever. Mm-hmm. It was just like, I think it was also family dynamics. For me, the turnaround from like, I spend your money. Like, it's so funny. Like, it's everything that's going on with Wendy. And then it's like to see like that's also part of their relationship. And she can't express wanting to have a relationship with her dad without it triggering her mom.
Starting point is 00:53:38 And I'm just like, I don't know. I was really sad to watch that. It is sad that like, you know, I felt like my mom did a really great job. My parents divorced and I was very young. my dad was not very much around, but my mom always did a great job of like supporting whatever relationship I were to have with my dad. You know, it's like whatever you want to do, whatever makes you feel good and loved and cared for. Like you do that. I'm going to hold back my feelings about it. But like Wendy's mom couldn't do that. And she just like immediately got fired up.
Starting point is 00:54:06 And immediately was like he did nothing. He was a sperm donor. Like how dare you talk to him? And it's like just like let's just be like happy that she's. building a relationship. I totally get where her mom is triggered. Same. But yeah. Like how, like you said,
Starting point is 00:54:22 how your, how your mom handled it seems to be. I think it was crazy when her mom didn't even want Wendy to send her kids upstairs who like didn't want her kids to just like, you guys don't need to hear this shit, you know, like, which totally respect Wendy doing.
Starting point is 00:54:36 I thought that was great that Wendy did that. And her mom just like, yeah. Did it kind of feel like Wendy was calling her on like having her, like having her moment on the show, like being like, you're doing this because you're miced up and in front of cameras. Yep.
Starting point is 00:54:48 And you want a moment. Yeah. 100%. She did. She said, you're doing all of this. You're crying. It's like, where is this even coming from? And it was very dramatic.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Yeah. Yeah, because you clock that. Mm-hmm. You know, you, I'm sure you've made some TV with people where you're just like, what are you going? Mm-hmm. For sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:08 Even on The Bachelor, everyone like, and there's, like, I remember, I'm not going to say his name, but he's, like, giving his SOP story to Hannah and his about. And it's about like how he usually gets $20 for lunch every day. And then his family had to cut it to 10. And I'm like, that's what we're very specific. That's what we're going with. Also $20 for lunch. Yeah, like, what are you getting?
Starting point is 00:55:30 You get 10? Okay. You got 10? Fuck, I didn't get any money. I know. I was bartered. I was like, I've, lunch.
Starting point is 00:55:36 The lunch room was always like, Natalie, you're in debt. No, seriously. Like, just let your parents know. Let your parents know you do have an outstanding balance. You won't be able to eat lunch tomorrow if you don't bring us a check. I don't know. He's just begging for food. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:52 I do think it's really selfless when moms can do that, though, when they can put aside their own feelings and emotions and just allow their children to kind of. Because at the end of the day, like if, you know, their dad is a piece of shit, they're going to figure it out eventually. Yeah. But I think it is so cool when moms are able to do that. And to that point, it's just like, don't fight your battles if you have other people fighting them for you, so to speak. Even if it's the people making themselves look bad. So if you're the parent who is doing all the things, obviously I'm sure there's going to be moments where things happen where you feel like someone's getting credit or even appreciation or love where you're like, you don't deserve any of that shit. And I'm sure that's triggering because I'm sure you've, there are a lot of parents, single parents have been in the weeds there.
Starting point is 00:56:39 But like, let them con. They're going to disappoint them. You know they are. Let them do that. Then you, like, compared to that, you're the hero. Don't be the parent who's trying to pull them away.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Because then it creates resentment on their end. It only takes one, like that one, the other parent to even suggest, well, you don't know, there's two sides to every story. Yes. And you don't know that they were like. And then they, and then you give them that thing where they, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:05 especially if you like get caught, you know. Yeah. Just let it reveal itself and then be there. if it does go to shit. Yes. You can't hear wondering Wendy's mom. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 00:57:17 In case you're listening. Also, Greg getting Kay the picture frame. But it was the lead in before with, oh, I disguised this as something else. Like, it's like, okay, you know that she wants an engagement ring. So opening it up to a heart frame. And doing the flashback to them at the jewelry store where they're looking at engagement rings and then being like, oh, you only left with a heart frame. That was wild.
Starting point is 00:57:42 He was looking at some rocks. Yeah. To put her first picture in together. Yeah, that's tough. But they don't have a picture together? And what they're talking about, engagement rings? I guess like they're moving in together. They're moving in together.
Starting point is 00:57:54 So they're going to frame their first photo to put in their house together. But then I also love how it goes straight into a serious conversation about like deeds to the house and like, is my name going to be put on things? And he was like, I don't, when you're hearing, it's all the same. He's like, well, I don't even want to live here that long. So we're going to be moving anyways. I wouldn't worry about it. And then she was like, yeah, you said like five years. Like maybe like five, six.
Starting point is 00:58:18 So like so no. We're not going to add her name to the deed then. Yeah. He gives like noncommittal. Very much so. To everyone but K. Yeah. Because Giselle's saying it.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Jel doesn't think that he's going to propose at all. I mean, we saw him like because didn't he take her mom to go shopping? It was like her mom and Cherise. Her mom and Tia. Or Mom Tia. So it's like you're putting it out there that that could slip that that's what you're doing. And yet here's a picture frame of hearts. Do you ever hook up by the friend's mom?
Starting point is 00:58:52 The friend's mom, no. Shocking. What? Stories that you tell Tyler. That is shocking. No. That would be way too far. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:01 That's where he draws the line. Did you? Hesitated. And then I'll be quietly. No, because that's not even what. that this would be... I will say, I think it's kind of fun. How old is Ashley?
Starting point is 00:59:16 Do we know? She's 37. He's 27. I was going to say, I feel like I'm right at that age where I could be with you or your dad. You know what I mean? It's a really fun age to be. And it's really empowering. I don't, I'm just like thinking out loud about that.
Starting point is 00:59:30 I love that for you, Susie. Yeah. Like, it could, you know, I'm not saying I am, but... But you could. But you could. It feels really good. You have options. That is very powerful.
Starting point is 00:59:39 It's very powerful. Yeah, I love that for you. Sounds like a guy. Do we think it's weird that she told Cherise? Or do we feel like it would have been weird or had she not told Charis? I think the way she told her was weird. I think we could have gone to the grape with that. Like if we were planning on going back there, then I'm like, mm, did we need to know?
Starting point is 00:59:55 I think she just showed up, grabbed his ass, just laid one on them. No, she told the story of Hallie. I know. But I would love her to just do it again. I think she thought it would be saucy for the show. Sugar lips, you know, walks in. I miss that. I think Ashley thought it would be saucy for her storyline in the show and then was like, man, that means I actually like have to tell Cherise.
Starting point is 01:00:17 Right. And then everyone's like, that's weird. So then it didn't get to be the saucy storyline for the show, which seems very Ashley Darby coded. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, nailed it with hide your husbands. Hide your sons. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:30 She's coming for them. Hide your grandpas. Hide your business partners. What a thrill. It's hot. I mean, you know. I mean, I guess you can't really. You can definitely say that Ashley is authentic.
Starting point is 01:00:42 She's not hiding anything. No, she is not. She is herself. And we have to respect that. Yeah. And the age gap isn't that, isn't that, it sounds a little creepy being like I hooked up with my friend's son. Right. But then to your point, she's one of the younger ones with the group.
Starting point is 01:00:56 She's the one in this scenario where she's just like, really? I still got it, you know? He's 10 years younger. He is like, he's the son, one of her friends. So, like, for him, it's kind of like definitely for. bidden so he like he wants her so bad that he's willing to upset mom yeah which is crazy you know for ashley she's just like like internally she's like yeah yeah yeah i'm gonna do this shit my favorite part of the episode was stacey being so offended that sure he's
Starting point is 01:01:30 laundry to a family event i felt like that that feels like when you take like a little fashion risk and as you're leaving your house you're like hyping yourself up. You're like, yeah, this is it. I feel so good. And then you arrive and you're like, oh, I'm in lingerie at a family event. And then you suddenly feel uncomfortable about your bold outfit choice. And then it was called out. That was like when I, when I go home for Christmas and I'm like, I need everyone to know. I'm like chiquer and hotter. Well, my favorite part of the episode was Stacey looking at Cherise and being like, why are you wearing lingerie to a family the event. Valid question.
Starting point is 01:02:10 She looked hot though. She looked hot. Mm-hmm. Her ninnies looked great. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Also watching Stacey and Tamo, um, working out together. What is his, is, is, Tamo? Tamo. T, T-Moh. And I just call him T-Mu.
Starting point is 01:02:24 You call him T-Mu. I call him T-Mu. I think they do too. I heard a couple of people say maybe T-Mu. Giselle for sure said T-Mu. The first time I've ever heard Tameau was out of your mouth, mirror. Tameau. That's me. I'm saying Tamo because that's what Stacy calls her husband. So I would assume that that's his name. Whatever. His name is Timu.
Starting point is 01:02:42 I've decided. You don't decide your own name. I do. But yeah, watching the two of them work out together, I was kind of like, do these two people actually spend any time together? Because it felt very like, oh, is this how we work out? And he was like, yes, babe. Or should we work out or should we do something else?
Starting point is 01:03:00 And he's like, let's work out. She's like, you sure you don't want to do anything else? He's like, well, we'll start with these machines over here. She seems very not in the driver's seat in that one. Yeah. And it was kind of weird how he was like, are you happy that I'm back? And then she kind of did this whole spiel about how it was like he never left
Starting point is 01:03:18 as if we didn't have that whole last season with TJ. Yeah. Where I was like he very much was not living in your house. But I got to be honest, Stacy, Stacy is getting real close to entering Meredith Mark's level for me. I love Stacy down bad. Yeah, I love that woman. Wow.
Starting point is 01:03:35 Quick, before we go, what are you guys doing for New Year's Eve? I'm going to the Beverly Hills Hotel and having a night with my fiancee. Oh. They're excited. Food and sex, basically. Yeah. We're going to do a like polo lounge. $50.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Cesar salad. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. What about you, Suez? Hanging out with a boy. Oh. At his house. A little party.
Starting point is 01:03:58 That's a little, like a small, like low key. Is this the two of you? No, no, no. There's a, there's a few people. Mm-hmm. It's like a, it's a, it's not quite a, it's a, it's not quite a, a party but not a small group. Are we just doing together? No, he's throwing a party
Starting point is 01:04:09 and you're like, are you wearing an apron? Maybe after everyone goes home, I don't know. Oh my God. Are you going to be there as people show up? Are you going to show up? Yeah, good question. Yeah, I think I'll be there before. Oh, wow, y'all are in love. Unofficial co-host slash early guest is a great place to be at.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Actually, I texted Mary recently because at the Christmas dinner, we were like roasting her about using a two-in-one shampoo conditioner. Again, it's not, I did stop using it because I didn't like it. But I texted her because I was like, hey, I'm staying the night at a guy's house and I just used a two-and-one. It's not so bad. I was like, I looked at that, I got that text from Susie and I was like, oh, Susie
Starting point is 01:04:53 texted me. And then I saw it and I was like, yeah. I can vouch for you. Thank you. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We really roasted you. And I'm sorry for that. No, it's okay.
Starting point is 01:05:03 I'm youngest sibling. I'm used to it. Wait till you get to the 3-1. No, the Dr. Bronners is like a 17-1. It's like wash your dishes, wash a car. Again, what I was using was less of a 2-1 and more of like a cleanser. Well, you said it was a cleanse and a condition. Okay, we're moving on.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Mary, what are you doing for New Year's Eve? What am I doing for New Year's Eve? I don't know yet. I think my goal, I'd like to... No goals. Don't have any goals. I'd like to get drunk, be around with my friends. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:30 You guys are going to back of Florida? Yeah, we're going to go to dinner, Miami, and go out, live, and, He's lying. We're not doing any of that. Going to live? Are you crazy? On the couch? Justin, what are you doing? I think I'm going to go with the wind.
Starting point is 01:05:44 I like the idea of not doing too much. Me too. I'm going to go with the wind as well. Just go with the wind. New Year's Eve is so overrated. It's amateur night. It is. I just want a nice night with my dogs.
