I am your host, Nick, joined by my wonderful wife, Natalie, and the household is all with us today. We got everyone here. And boy, do we have a wild and wacky episode for you. We have Natalie recently banished from the castle. We'll be joining us, and I have one very, very specific question for her that I was just so
Starting point is 00:03:04 frustrating when I was watching. I was like, Natalie, why didn't you ask this question? From traitors. From traitors. but we'll ask her today and we're excited to have her
Starting point is 00:03:15 join us as well we also have the very hilarious Dene Hayes with us you if you don't know who Dene is many of you already do but if you don't you'll be glad that we
Starting point is 00:03:23 introduced you to her because she is absolutely hilarious and she joins us this episode as well so much to get into obviously love is blind as everyone's talking about it Chris is maybe the most diabolical
Starting point is 00:03:35 man out there I'm just tired of of the poor representation that us guys have on some of these shows. Man, they just gotta stop acting like that then. Is it poor or accurate? We need more Valley Persian style.
Starting point is 00:03:50 I just every day. Anyways. We, if you haven't noticed or heard. Don't lay down. He's Steve. Nikki, you should be like,
Starting point is 00:04:02 we are also joined by our two dogs. Steve said I saw the love you just gave to Jeff. What is the deal, mom? Yeah. go lay down bye Steve lay down can you guys tell Steve I said bye
Starting point is 00:04:16 down he's right there Mary says bye thank you he said sit right in front all the way down no get down are you sure mom
Starting point is 00:04:26 I was like someone's gonna notice I'm like someone's gonna notice the clip between like Steve being in our lap she's like not being in the room to cut you know and be like uh oh oh I'll talk on trouble
Starting point is 00:04:35 yeah no it was like Beverly Hills Housewives when Denise asked for a Mexican Coke and then they kept jumping between scenes and the Mexican Coke was there and then it wasn't there and then it wasn't there and then it wasn't there and they're also having like a very intense conversation and I'm like why am I thinking about the Mexican Coke?
Starting point is 00:04:53 No, there's nothing that drives me. Literally. Yeah, we'll get into it. If she didn't ask for it it, it probably wouldn't have been that big of a highlight but like she literally asked for it and then it's all I'm focused on. And also as a group, we'll save it. Literally. We'll save it. Well, if you don't follow us on Instagram, what are you doing? Because we
Starting point is 00:05:09 We made a huge announcement. But we are having twin girls. Yay! And we're adding two more girls to the mix. Two more little girls. Could not be more excited. I know many people in the comments was thinking that I would, that last balloon, I wanted to be blue.
Starting point is 00:05:30 And I will be honest with you guys. Everything on social media is fake. We did in fact act for that video because we did already know. So there's just no way that he would have. been upset with the second blue because he did already know that they were two girls. Yeah. Listen, I mean, obviously, like, River has been such a dream and a blessing. And listen, if I get to have a son someday, that will be great.
Starting point is 00:05:50 But there was, right after we found out that Nali was having, well, we were having girls. I'm always trying to back and forth between Nally's pregnant, but we're having girls, you know, like it's not that we're pregnant. Yeah. Right. And Nallie's, and I was coming down our stairway and River was looking up at me. and Nali's mom said, just imagine in a few months, you'll have,
Starting point is 00:06:11 you know, not in a few months, but soon you'll have three little girls looking up at you. And it just, like, melted in my heart of just having like,
Starting point is 00:06:17 you know, it's just, it's going to be great, right? Like having three, you know, when we were, when we found out we're having twins, obviously we're like,
Starting point is 00:06:24 you know, what would be cool? You know, would it be two boys or two girls or identical or fraternal and like boy girl. And then every combination was great, right?
Starting point is 00:06:33 And we're thinking about, you know, having all the girls very close to an age, you know, River being an older sister to the two younger girls. Like, it's a great thing. So we're very excited. It's also, like, my older sister who has twins did the exact same thing.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Like, she has her daughter, Elizabeth, who's two years older, two and a half years older. And then she had two identical twin girls. Oh, wow. They seem to like each other. And they, and yeah. So it's like she has the exact same dynamic and like. It looks great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:02 It's super fun. It's very cute. We're also deep in the, in the baby name. Oh my God, wait, can you test them out on us? Can you please preview? Yes, please. Well, I'm going to run one by you. Okay. And by run one by, he means he's going to tell you one that it's definitely not happening.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Okay, because. Pitch session. As soon as he says it, you'll know why it's not happening. But I really think, I really think a good rock. And if, listen, if you're listening. No pun intended. Wait, wait, hold on. Whose idea was this was?
Starting point is 00:07:32 Okay. No ideas or bad ideas. It was mine. It was mine. It was mine. It was mine. It was mine. Wait, I want to guess.
Starting point is 00:07:37 It was my. Percussion. Okay, guess. Give me one hint. You said rock. You said rocks and I'm thinking Boulder. Rocky? Which is kind of cute.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Oh, Boulder. George Michael. Pebble by all. I think it's pretty good. Listen, if you like it, you can have it because I'm. No one's going to want it. My wife and chat GPT had some critiques. Oh, well, if chat had critiqued and if chat, if chat had critiques, it can't name your kid that.
Starting point is 00:08:04 It must be awful. I need to. Okay, let's hear it. The anticipation is too huge. Nirvana. Ew. Nirvana. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:14 It means heaven. Are you naming them both Nirvana? Yes, it is also one of the greatest grunge bands of all time. But by the time, Nirvana would be like, say, 15 years old, none of her friends are really going to. What's her nickname? No. Chad was like, do you really want your daughter to have to be like, you mean after the band name? I mean, to be, to be very, it could be.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Thana or Anna. Vana. Nirvana. Vana. She could have this. I've actually met a couple Nirvana's and they're always the sweetest people.
Starting point is 00:08:41 You have. I have. Like, Nirvana is a pretty name. It's a beautiful name. Nirvana also stands for like the circle of life. Once you collect like all of the good karmic energy,
Starting point is 00:08:49 you reach Nirvana. So I think like it's a good, what is it? A good omen. And guess what? I could make her a rock and Nirvana. No, you know what?
Starting point is 00:08:58 You know what? You know why this is, this is a bad idea? Because when she's born, it's going to just be so many Nirvana baby t-shirts and onesies that you're not even going to know what to do it. People are never going to stop
Starting point is 00:09:11 every year for her birthday. It's going to be something to Nirvana. They'd get her a heart-shaped box. They would get her, you know. Our daughters, neither of them will be named Nirvana. So if you love it, you're welcome. Wait, I do have one more question. If one of them was Nirvana, what was the other
Starting point is 00:09:28 child's name? Pearl Jam. Well, we can't. We're still, we're still. I'll tell you another name that we're not going to use that Nali really likes for a middle name. What? Plum. That's the middle name. Plum.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I think Plum is cute. Kelsey Plum. Plum is cute. Yeah. Thank you. You should do. One should be plum. One should be Clementine.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Just go with the fruit theme. Middle names. Apricot. Yes. Apricot. Apple. Now there is a name that we're chewing on. I can't give away.
Starting point is 00:09:56 But I'm curious what you guys think because we obviously we're, you know, we like celebrating our family's histories and pulling names from various family members. and having inspiration. There's one name in particular we quite like. But like the perfect middle name to go with it, like will just be a famous person's name. And it's like, do we celebrate that person? Like I just saw Esther Pavinsky, who, friend of show, she is pregnant having a boy. And she just posted like, can you guess our son's name? It's the name of a very famous person. First name blank, second name king. There's a name that we really like and we're trying to think of another name to go with it in our first middle name. And the only combination we are obsessed with is
Starting point is 00:10:37 a famous person that we all love. And the question is, do we say fuck it and be like, hey, Michael be Jordan it, you know, do we Michael be Jordan it? I say do it. Or would you, you know, we could message her on Instagram. I think we know people who know people and we say, would you, if you hate this, if you don't want us to do it. Would you get? Would you get? give us your blessing? Would you ask for their blessing? Well, they can't say no. Don't name your kid by name. But I think that it would be... I would say, I would just say if you don't want us to do it, don't respond. If you don't respond, we won't do. Well, but then what if they just don't respond because they don't see it? Like, is this name super unique? That's also fine. That's also fine. Then we leave it as they say, God's hand.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Also, people do this all the time. Aren't like a lot of kids and people named after celebrities their parents were obsessed with? I think what you do is you reach out and you say, hey, we're here. We're here. We're here. We're huge fans of yours. We really love your name and we are thinking of naming our daughter the same thing. Like, that's it. And it's also like, it's predicated on the, the, the family name. Yeah. Yeah. But then also it's like she wouldn't be called by her first middle, you know, like, River doesn't go by River Rose. You know, we call her that around the house. But like when she goes out in public, it's like, oh, this is Riverville, you know, like at the doctor's office. So it's like not like she's going to be called the famous person.
Starting point is 00:12:01 name all the time. There's also, there's also the argument that this famous person, it might not actually be their birth name. It could just be their sag. Stage name.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Their sag actor. Yeah, that's the only thing is that they can't join SAG with the same name. So if she wants to be an actress, she'll have to change it. Yeah, the PR later on in life. Think about the PR.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Yeah. Yeah. There can only be one. Thankfully, Leah Globerman wasn't taken. Mary's going to die. Mary's going to die. Mary's going to die. Yeah, Mary's going to die.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Okay. Wait, should we say it now? then we can believe it. Yes. Yeah. Yes. I would love to know. Sure.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Yeah. Okay. And we're just like throwing it's not, we're not completely sold on it. We're just fiddling with it right now. But like, oh. No, you must. You must.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I love alliterative. You must. I love it. I think it's amazing. I think it's an amazing incredible show stopping. Never been done before. We'll never be done again. I ride.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Absolutely reach out. Absolutely reach out. Absolutely reach out. Well, not in that way. Absolutely reach out. Now that I know who it is. is absolutely reach out. I mean, she'll be so nice about it. Yeah, I'm sure it's flattering. So flattering. Yeah. Speaking of like the thinking of having the three girls, it was like I,
Starting point is 00:13:16 River nonstop talks about, she's like obsessed with horses and cows and farm animals. And like, she's obsessed with my sister, Amanda, who all the nieces and nephews call her me. So she, like, randomly one day was just like, Mama, drive, drive, drive, drive, and Memi's house. And I was like, you want to drive to Memi's house? And she's like, yes. And I'm like, okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:40 And then she just wouldn't drop it. Like, she just kept talking about it. She kept wanting to like, mommy cow this and mommy horsey this. And I'm like, you know what? Like, let's just go for the weekend, right? That could be fun. I mean, her sister literally has an animal farm. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:13:55 So I was like, Nick, do you want to come with? And he was like, well, you. you know, we don't have anyone to watch the dogs and like I kind of got to work on Thursday Friday and maybe I'll come Saturday morning. I'm like, and now I was like, I want to like spend time with my sister. And so she went for four days. Nice. That's so nice.
Starting point is 00:14:12 And asked Nick what he did. Yeah. I know what did. I know what they did. I know it. I took care of the dogs. Yeah. I had a lovely.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Listen, I had not, I have not been alone. Yeah. No, literally, guys, when I'm telling my sister that like we're coming this week and she's like, oh, is Nick going to come to it? And I'm like, oh, he might. I don't know. And she's like, are you all ever apart? I'm like, no.
Starting point is 00:14:34 Never. No, we're always together. Which I love. Love. Love. Love. Very connected. But I have not been alone.
Starting point is 00:14:42 And quite some time. And I wasn't sure what I would do. I picked up the old Madden controller. Xbox video game. That's basketball? Mick disappeared. I disappeared. I disappeared.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Literally. I was off my phone. I didn't go on my phone period. I was just playing Madden. Nick told us he would disappear. 52 games. What? You played 52 games on Madden.
Starting point is 00:15:08 They're like 40 minutes each. I don't say I didn't leave. What's the math there? I did leave the house once on a Friday night. You played Madden for 34.67 hours. Yeah. That's not even. So honestly, not that much.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Good for you. True. Oh, my God. Thank you. You could have played more. I have twins on the way. This is it. When's the last time you pulled out the Xbox?
Starting point is 00:15:35 It's been years. Okay, so lay up. No, you've been, like, dabbling it in at night. Well, like, lately, I turned it on a couple, like, a weeks ago, but before that, it's been years. That's how he de stresses. I did leave the house once on, and it was, I called up a friend, and I was like, hey, do you want to have a, you want to go on a date with me?
Starting point is 00:15:51 Aw. Cute. A man date. How was it? It was lovely. I had a great time. And this friend's one of the, he's, he's an extraordinary. extrovert, very friendly, very affable fellow.
Starting point is 00:16:02 And he was one of those friends. He was just like, yeah, I got this thing before, just come. And then we'll go dinner afterwards. I'm like, cool. Say less. Like, I'm literally having left the house. Well, the thing he had turned out to be a Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the university that he went to. You were feeling so sporty already.
Starting point is 00:16:19 I thought, I thought, we thought we were showing up. He was already in like the sports vibe, you know, like Madden. I am ready. I am ready. Did you feel like you were walking into the video game celebration after you've won? Yeah. Awesome. I was like, they're celebrating me.
Starting point is 00:16:36 He's like, I'm inducted into the Hall of Fame. You're like, oh my God, the jacket for all of my troubles. No, I'm only like 500, actually. I was, I'm not, I'm, again, it's been years. I am getting better, though. And then I found out it was an, a Hall of Fame induction ceremony. And I had, I don't know why in my head, I'm thinking like high school graduation. I'll be sitting in some bleachers, whatever, it'll be like,
Starting point is 00:16:57 a thing. This was a very intimate setting. And as many universities do, all the alumni and this is a very proud university, you know, and so I walk into what is typically my health. And it's like a social gathering. And I'm very much lately have been in this, in this like, where I'm trying to stay present, wherever I am, this is where I'm supposed to be, like, focus on the good, you know, no complaining. This is, this is what I need to be. So I had like a positive energy. Turns out there were 15 speeches. Oh, no. Because they had 15 inductees or there was 11 inductees. They each gave a speech. Then there were speeches to, you know, to introduce them and more speeches. And it turns out, I was moved. Okay. I got a little choked up. I got inspired.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Oh, wow. Even the last speech was maybe the best speech. Wow. Really funny. Really funny. And then there was one, and this person left me with a bit of like meaningful advice. It was a woman who was being inducted for her lacrosse career. And she was around my age, graduated around the same time. And she said, you know what? When I think back about my career and she's being inducted to being this great player, she's like I can't think of one personal accomplishment. I don't remember the score of any game that I played in or anything like that. But I do remember Thursday nights at like the, whatever hall where all the teammates got together and we would watch friends. And it was just like, it was a really great, you know, it's just like how much, it's what matters to you. And all these people gave speeches about their friends and the people they met at college. And it really just goes to show that like when we look back on life, it really is the most meaningful connections that we have that matter most, whether it's your loved ones, whether it's the kids that you have or the friendships that you have. Like those are the things that matter. And it's not, you know, who,
Starting point is 00:18:55 you know, the person you dunked on or how many goals you scored or things like that. So it was a really beautiful message that I, that will stay with me. And it's just a good reminder of the things that really matter in our lives. And yet he still played Madden last night. He was like, oh, it's okay. It doesn't matter how many goals you score, but let me try to get, let me try to do a touchdown. No, no, no, no, we were in bed watching.
Starting point is 00:19:19 We were in bed together snuggling up because I didn't see my wife in four days. And then River just, River. She came back a little like, I don't want to listen to anybody or anything. And I think it's because, honestly, like we, the second we woke up, we were outside, like the weather in Savannah this weekend was beautiful. It was like high 70s, 80s. It was just perfect. So the second we woke up, we were outside. We were walking around. She's driving the like buggy around. She's, I mean, just in absolute heaven. And I think when we got back home, she was like, what is this? You want me to like sit and play with my toys? Like I don't, ooh. I want to be outside running and jumping. She really bonded with her favorite person, her mother over the weekend. And so when River wakes up in the middle of night, usually I go up and soothe her.
Starting point is 00:20:09 She was not having it last night. So mom came in and took over. And I was like, well, this is going to take at least 30, 40 minutes. So I played a game of men. Perfect time. Perfect time. You're economizing your time. It was very efficient.
Starting point is 00:20:23 I was going to ask, I was like, were you a little hurt by the fact? Yeah, what else am I going to do in 40 minutes? I lost by one in a last second a few ago is so frustrating. Meanwhile, is Louis still in a crib? No, I actually, he at like 11 months was like, nope, no more. I'm sleeping in your bed and only your bed. So I bought a toddler bed. We do that a lot.
Starting point is 00:20:46 I bought a toddler bed, built it myself. Thank you very much. Diva. Designed it to be the exact same, like, bedding that I had. Different color, but same Gingham design. And he doesn't sleep in that either. He still sleeps in our bed. But he does start off there, but he ends up at our bed.
Starting point is 00:21:03 But are you guys trying to transition River into a toddler bed? I think we need to, but it's more so I just cannot lean over with my belly to, like, lay her in the crib softly. So I, like, have to, like, kind of, like, plop her in and it wakes her up every time. The last two inches is kind of a drop. Yeah, I can't reach her. Have you seen that video? It's a TikTok. It's viral.
Starting point is 00:21:27 But it's like, she's like, my baby always knows when we're at home. I don't know how she does. And it's like her going up the driveway and all of a sudden the driveway is like super jagged. And the baby's just like. Yeah, yeah. It's all right. I've seen that it's so good. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:21:42 That's what that reminds her. She's like so peaceful. Then all of a sudden just like, fall. Plops. Yeah. You got to get like a stool or like, I don't know. I mean, I don't know. The acrobatics.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Oh my God. Oh, my God, you're going to get... They're going to be athletes. I can't even imagine what it feels like to have four feet kicking you. Oh, wow, yeah. Truly, it feels crazy. Can you see them? Not yet.
Starting point is 00:22:07 You can just like now start to feel them. I feel like, and I feel bad because my sister-in-law is also pregnant and we're due literally the exact same time. She's having a boy. We're having the twin girls, so we might go a little bit earlier than her. But she, it's her first kid. So she's like, when like, when do I feel him kick? And I'm like, oh, well, depends on where you're listening to is.
Starting point is 00:22:32 And also I don't think I felt River until like 24 weeks. Like I feel like it took forever for me to fill river. But I've been like helping her build out her registry. And she's like, do I need the baby bottle sterilizer? And I'm like, no. No, babe. You're going to get it. And then you're going to be like, it's so much easier to just wash these by hand than like have to.
Starting point is 00:22:52 it's like, oh, let me buy the tablets to sterilize, but then also I have to clean, it has to clean itself. It's like, I'm like, it's too many moving parts. Natalie, we should go through all of the baby things that you do not need. I'll start with baby towels. And the things that you do need. Yes. Baby towels. Yeah, like why do you need baby towels?
Starting point is 00:23:13 Just use a regular towel. Well, what if you want your baby to feel special with their towel? Aren't the baby towel softer? Because it's the baby industrial complex. There you go. They have hoods. Like, I feel like now we still use some of Rivers baby towels because why wouldn't we? And then I'm like, this is like barely covering her.
Starting point is 00:23:28 I'm like, her poor little legs are cold. Yeah, exactly. And you're only using them because you have them, which is what we're doing. But it's like, I could literally just use my towels that I already have. But the other bath stuff, like the, do you guys use the one that like you have to put your knees on and like elbows on? Like the elbow pads? So I got all that. I like, don't use it.
Starting point is 00:23:48 The men of Taylor Frankie Paul's love journey have been released. Yes, they have. That's right. The men of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette is now available. Their bios are out there. I think we have a little promo video, do we not, of some of these men? Oh, yeah. We do.
Starting point is 00:24:04 We do. We do. We do. We do. Oh, you know it. Oh, you know it. Oh, you know it. Oh, you know it.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Oh, you know it. The book of more men. Oh, I love that. The book of more men. I wish I came up with that. That is smart. All right. You know who I think.
Starting point is 00:24:18 You know who I think says. I'm a take. but take home to mom kind of guy. Someone you don't want to take home to your mom. Someone who's met a lot of moms. Chris from Love is Blind. I think that's one of the biggest red flags. Yes.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Like obviously you want to be someone that your partner would love to take home to your family. But to be like, parents love me. Parents love me. It's like. It's like you perform for parents or something? Why? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:42 What's going on? Any guy who says that, I'm always like, I don't know. I don't trust you. There is one man, by the way, on this list whose fun fact is that he loves the note. book so I thought of you when that happened. Yeah, and again, great movie, great movie.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I kind of wish they would have had them like doing, you know what like NFL players do when they're like playing showing like their name and they're kind of just like stand there like cross their arms or like kind of just like look cool. University of Oklahoma Miami. Like why couldn't they just have them do that? Because nothing about the show is allowing these men to look cool. Also it makes so much sense. They're like, do something fun.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Show your goofy side. Also, Taylor is a mom TikToker dances on TikTok. She needs guys that can dance with her. So they're like, okay, dance for the camera. But she also doesn't. If they can check their ass to Charlie, she doesn't want her. Like that can be her career. They don't need to work together.
Starting point is 00:25:33 No, you know, she needs the backup dancer for the one or two trend. Yeah. So like... Or I kind of wish that they would have done like an opening of Bachelor in Paradise where it's like they had like a prop or like something that like tells us something about them because I feel like I haven't learned anything with them. Yeah, I agree with that. I think that says a lot when you bring an object.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Yeah. Nick, I have a question. I think we need to kill Dad Talk, beyond. honest. So I don't, I thought when she broke up with Dakota, it was the end of Dad Talk. Or at least that was maybe my hope. They might still be out there. Sadly, Dad Talks did. No, they're out there. I know, Dad Talk goes on a trip this season. Sadly, Dad Talk did survive. We like some of them.
Starting point is 00:26:06 We do. Nick, what was your fun fact? But I feel like, oh, what was your fun fun fun? I don't remember. Okay. Is that something we can find? I don't feel like they did fun facts back then. I'm Google. Yeah, they asked some questions. What would be your fun talk? At the time, I was like, I was sitting in a hotel. I was sitting in a hotel. room quarantine for like three days and I was just getting tired of paperwork and I was just like answering some questions did not think they would make some of those public well according to the AI overview nick it said before becoming a bachelor franchise staple nick vial was a standout track
Starting point is 00:26:37 athlete at the university of wisconsin milwaukee where he set the school record and a 3200 meter relay does that sound like something you would have said for your fun fact it sounds like i wrote that he is the second oldest of 11 i definitely did not write that on my bio absolutely and originally join the show for a free trip to Los Angeles. Oh. That's true. Those are some bad. Well, no, I went to casting.
Starting point is 00:26:59 I went to casting for the free trip to Los Angeles. I went on the show to go to Europe. Right. Period. Not with a plan. I have to make it at least far enough to go. I never went out of the country. And it's like a travel show, you know?
Starting point is 00:27:13 So I was like, maybe I'll get to go out of the country. You could have just gone on the amazing race. I hadn't been out of this hemisphere. I had been, I was like, I was like a little. lucky enough to go to Dominican Republic, which we ended up going there my first season. I was like, I've already been here. I'm just curious. And they're like, it's not about you, Nick.
Starting point is 00:27:29 It's not about you. Don't worry. We're going to crush your spirits. You'll never want to go back after this trip. Nick, you're giving the housewives of Salt Lake City when they couldn't leave the U.S. for like four seasons. Oh, because of Jen Chaucer. Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Because of the NBA. I feel like that set, just they had like a boom box sitting and someone like just like, you know, with like a CD player. and just press play and it wasn't that loud you know the music wasn't very loud and there's
Starting point is 00:27:57 if you notice if you watched with us there's a split second of a guy bending over shaking his ass and you know someone was like he was like he probably did that at the very end
Starting point is 00:28:08 just like being a little goofy after they said cut yep and they used it you know I'm pro I think everybody needs to shake their ass more often
Starting point is 00:28:16 we were put on this earth with an ass to shake I agree, Mary. Yeah, I do agree. It's fun. Give us some of your favorites, Leo. Oh, no. I can already say I think Brad's going to win the season.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Is that the cowboy? He's the cowboy. He looks like he would go with Taylor, I think, and also I could see him moving to your dog. Can I see Brad? I do have a standout that I personally like. Lots of men in here who are self-proclaimed mama's boys. And you know what? As a mom of a boy, I hope that Louis would put that on his fun fact.
Starting point is 00:28:48 No, when someone says, do you have a great relationship with your mom? You say, absolutely. Yeah. I do. But to go out of your way to say, I love my mom. I am a mommy's boy. But you don't say I'm a mama's boy. It makes it sound like there's another obstacle.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Like, hey, in our relationship, we have to consult mom. Mom's always right. Also, I feel like if it's the other way around and like an adult woman is being like, yeah, I'm a daddy's girl. It's like, so like. At 36. I feel like your dad pays for everything. Yeah. I mean, like, again, you can have a good.
Starting point is 00:29:18 great relationship with your dad, but like, you're still his daddy's little princess. If these men are in their 30s, going on 40s, calling themselves mama's boys, like, no, thank you. I will say, I, Ashley, from Love is Blind, I hope my daughters talk about me the way Ashley talks
Starting point is 00:29:34 about her dad. I know. I love how she talks about her dad. But she's not like, she's not like, I'm a gay girl. Exactly. You know? Like, you know she respects her father and loves her father, but doesn't lead with it being her whole identity and dating? I really like Trenton. His dream superpower would be talking to dogs.
Starting point is 00:29:52 He lives with a mamba mentality, and his favorite flower is a snap dragon. I don't know what that is, but the cool thing about him, he's a professional athlete and three-time Paralympian. Oh, wow. Incredible. Does it say what sport? Well, Nick, what would you pick for your superpower? I've always said, teleport. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Close my eyes. There I am. So that's Trenton. Wait, Mike T. He's always cute. he's an aquifer addict. So he's moisturized. He soft,
Starting point is 00:30:21 soft lips maybe. Okay, well, age well. Yeah, for sure. He looks like an aquifer addict. One of Shane's fun facts is that if he has something stuck in his teeth, he begs that you tell him. That's a fun fact.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Love that. Open and honest communication. He's not afraid of direct feedback. Love that. But also, it's like you don't have anything in your teeth. And he's like, no, tell me I have something in my teeth. It's like, I promise there's nothing in your teeth. No, he just like, he's not afraid.
Starting point is 00:30:47 He had a bad experience. He, you know, I have teeth that collects food, unfortunately. I don't know what it is, but there's something about it. It just holds on. Oh, my God. And it's a bit of a high school trauma, but my high school friends would call me Oreo Mel. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Is that what you were always eating? That Conrad looks like Dexter. He does look like Dexter. Wait, where he does? Whoops. Wait, guys. I think I know who our villain is this season. Who?
Starting point is 00:31:12 And for one reason only. Shane's fun fact is he's a massive Uno and. enthusiast. He's going to be playing the house. He's a gamer. You think he's going to be like, draw four. Ron thinks. Reverse.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yeah. Ron has a nine-month-old beta fish and thinks that sloths are just pretending to be slow. I saw him. Yeah, he's a go for sure. He for sure. Do we think his fish is still alive after his stint on the bachelor? Right. How old is his face now?
Starting point is 00:31:41 Don't joke about the beta. Ron has trust issues. This man for sure loves the office and thinks he, he's the first person to ever say that. And I mean, that is a compliment. No, one of Rod's fun facts is that he admits that it takes him a while to text back. So he's busy. But that, I mean, nope.
Starting point is 00:32:01 What's wrong with us? Me back immediately. He's honest. Shane is hot. I don't subscribe to that. No, my anxiety can't handle it. I think you're dead. Guys, the flip of the Uno villain is Brandon, who says he does not like complex card games, does not do.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Alex car games. Oh, stop. Get them on a 2-1. So he's not this one. Leaving one on the mountain. To play a game. Richard is thankful for Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 00:32:27 I don't know how I feel about that, sudden. Kevin is happiest when he's well-fed and loves to cry while listening to Crash by the day of Matthews band. I like his hair. These photos are kind of giving. They're definitely better
Starting point is 00:32:41 than they have been in the past. But it is so crazy how they just give like high school. It really does give yearbook photo. Senior portrait specifically. Yeah. Like a casual senior portrait though. Could we just put your arm on your knee a little bit?
Starting point is 00:32:55 Yeah. Lift the chin. No, they need to do one of those things that we do, like the thing in the life photo shoots where it's just like, oh my God, you just caught me drinking a coffee. Am I going into my car or am I posing for this photo? I think what they're doing is... Am I crossing the street, looking lovingly at my wife?
Starting point is 00:33:12 I don't know if I am into Conrad. He looks exactly like... I think they're leaning into like No, I don't know if I am. Oh, good. I think they're leaning into like the TikTok internet trend of it all for this marketing because this was a trend, wasn't it? Of like people using AI to like look Facebook yearbooky from like the 80s or the 90s.
Starting point is 00:33:31 I mean, it's a trend. Listen, uh, who, Hulu's doing, I mean, obviously dancing with the stars has found great success by leaning into the TikTok trends and things like that. So it would, and Taylor Frankie Paul obviously. Yeah, I think it makes sense. So it would make a lot of. sense that they're leaning into the internet for sure.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Josh loves to indulge in a peanut butter burger. What is that? Peanut butter on top of your burger. I respect to that man who's willing to try new things. You want to know the biggest thing that I feel like I crave every pregnancy. What? Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:03 And it is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with nacho cheese deris. Wait. On the side? Like all. No, yeah. I know. I like to take. I do like to mix in the mouth, but yes, on the side.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Okay, all right. Okay. Yeah. I mean, honestly, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I'm not a big jelly guy, but I'll just go peanut butter. That's just me. But yeah, putting in something crunchy. Yeah. Like cereal?
Starting point is 00:34:28 Serial. Yeah, like Christmas. Wait, Natalie. Are you going strawberry or grape jelly? This is important. Don't be wrong. I think strawberry. Strawberry.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. For sure. Strawberry with the nacho cheese. But that, yeah, that really. Grape jelly is disgusting.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Watch your tongue. Disgusting. I like them all. Watch your tongue. Well, good luck to all these men. Let us know what you think of your favorites. Who you think her final four will be. Maybe pick your villain.
Starting point is 00:34:59 Pick your next bachelor. Pick your next bachelor. We will certainly learn a lot more. And let's not judge a book by their bio. By their fun of us. God knows I didn't want them to judge me. Or their dance moves. Or their photos.

Starting point is 00:39:18 All right, back to the show. Wait, have you guys seen Punch the Monkey? Oh my God, yes. I'm literally obsessed. No, I've been waiting for you to explain it to me. I've seen people posting like sobbing crying talking about Punch the Monkey. Yes. I don't know if you know this, but it was completely offline playing Madden.
Starting point is 00:39:33 I do know this. For 36 hours. Heard about it. This is the emotional whirlwind that you need to experience. You've seen from start to finish now, so I think you'll have a good plot line to go through. But everybody saw the origins of Punch the Monkey. It's this little baby monkey that was abandoned by its mother and was not being accepted by the other monkeys in the zoo. I did see that a couple days ago, and I kept scrolling because it just, it felt it was too hard of a watch.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Oh my God, it was so hard to watch. They would like punch him, drag him. Wait, there's no light at the end of the tunnel for Punch? There is. No, there is. Okay. Because honestly, I saw the caption and I was like, I can't. can't. So he kept getting rejected by the monkeys in the exhibit. So they kept pushing him away. And so the people there that take care of them gave him this stuffed animal. Yes, he's an orphan. They gave him a stuffed animal, which is a monkey stuffed animal from IKEA. My heart hurts. And he would literally like he brings it around. He hangs out with it. When he would get bullied, he would run to the animal and like hug it. And then he also has, there's one specific like zookeeper there that he clings onto. So every time the zookeeper goes out there to feed the food, he runs to that person and jumps on him. And he also. And he also has, there's one specific, like, zookeeper there that he clings on him. And he. And he comes to that. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And he. And
Starting point is 00:40:41 it's the cutest thing ever. Long story short, now the monkeys accept him. So a lot of people are saying that it took internet. Like, hey for the monkeys, just stop bullying. That is really funny. Yeah, of course. Fuck you, internet. You don't get credit for this.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Like, you're just, you're on the sidelines. Your toxic ass doesn't deserve that. Wait, but I love that, like, he got to have that stuffed animal for himself. Like, I'm glad the other ones didn't try to take it from him, you know? monkeys are humans The cutest thing ever We have Moodyng last year Now we have Punch
Starting point is 00:41:15 Wait and this guy can never quit Like this Yes And I think Ikea's monkey sold out Like it's a whole phenomenon Of people loving punch And then there's like this female monkey That like he finally like bonded with
Starting point is 00:41:26 And she like grabs him and scoops him up And just like hugs him And it's just like the sweetest thing You're like oh my God finally Like it's just like the perfect ending No but the videos of him dragging the monkey around Oh my God What are they gonna do when this monkey
Starting point is 00:41:38 gets so destroyed from being drug around that they have to replace it and everyone has sold out the damn monkey. It already looks pretty rough. Oh no. I mean, I think IKEA also donated monkeys too. And so everyone loves a punch regardless of he does Pilates every day?
Starting point is 00:41:55 In love, yes. Yes, we love his body. Love is blind. I... Yeah. All right, well, I think that means that we should get into some love is blind here. Mostly, should we just start with Chris?
Starting point is 00:42:07 I feel like I need to entertain. change his name with the Kyle Cook rant I went on. Yes, do it. Let's go. Let's go. You know, like, I feel like, honestly, all of my anger has shifted, and it is now in the Chris camp. Like, the way that this man tried to...
Starting point is 00:42:26 In his words, choose his words carefully. Please. Also, can we... Jess is stunning, and her body is amazing. And I'm like, what the fuck would he think of me? It was making me so sad. Yeah. Like I feel like Jess should, obviously, she should know.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Like, the bitch is a baddie. She's a doctor. She's gorgeous. She's fit. Like, and she doesn't work out. Like, a bitch, you got it made. You know? And like, I feel bad that everyone is having to be like, oh, Jess, you poor thing.
Starting point is 00:43:00 You don't, like, you look so good. It's like, you have let this man, like, infiltrate her thoughts and make her think that she is anything less than a hundred percent. Yeah. And then he was just like, oh, it was just like a little fight, you know, like a disagreement. And then she blocked me. And it's like, no, you literally, you were the issue here. Yes.
Starting point is 00:43:20 No, he's the reason. I firmly believe this. Chris is the reason why in today's society we're very angry at a lot of men, about men's behavior. Yeah. And he is the definition of the bad apple who's out there giving so many women a terrible experience when it comes to men. The way he went about that
Starting point is 00:43:41 conversation, listen, all you have to say, bro, is like, listen, I think I'm into the other person. You know what? Love isn't blind for me. After saying, Brees, my number two, I realize love is not blind for me. And I realize we don't have the connection. Maybe I thought we did. Because you are allowed to not have someone be your type.
Starting point is 00:43:57 But the fact that he was like, let me choose my words carefully. And he carefully chose the worst words. At one point, at one point, he, I don't know how he said I don't know what his exact words, but he was describing being intimate with her and saying how he couldn't get it out of his head.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Like he basically is like, if you don't do Pilates every day, which I don't know, and I don't know what that person looks like, but, also like, my dick won't work. He was basically saying
Starting point is 00:44:24 that he's having performance anxiety because he can't think of anything else. I mean, like that's him choosing his word carefully. And then, and then when she goes, when she's like, well, now I,
Starting point is 00:44:35 I'm, this is upsetting to hear. And I don't, And he was like, like, why? He was basically like, why you, what the fuck's your, why are you upset? What are you a stupid fucking idiot? Like, what the fuck is your problem? Like, I'm just, I'm just being fucking honest here.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Like, huh? He said, I'm so sorry. I'm not physically attracted to you, but I think we have a lot of fun together. And then she's like, well, I don't think I can be fun right now. And he's like, why not? Are you kidding? What's your fucking problem? Sorry, you just like made me question everything.
Starting point is 00:45:00 The fact that he's going around telling everyone at the mixer that like, well, I would be willing to keep going if she was willing. It's like, what are you talking about? Yeah. Well, what he's doing in that moment is the classic guy move. He is like, he is the guy who's, I guarantee you, he reads books about pickup artists. I would bet anything he reads those types of books. Guarantee it. And he does the, and every guy does this to a certain extent.
Starting point is 00:45:26 But he obviously just wanted to end it, which is fine. End the relationship. But he's trying to paint himself as the victim and he's trying to get her to break up with him. And he is just trying to be shitty about it. And just be, you know, he's trying to do all the things that make her go, well, I don't want to date you. So he can be like, well, I try. No, now he just doesn't want to seem like the bad guy. So he's like, well, and I was going to like keep trying, but she doesn't want to now.
Starting point is 00:45:48 So like, that's on her. She's like done with me. So there's like nothing really to do. Also, the way that this man has the like in the negatives sex appeal about him. And he is like the most vocal about like, I just always try to give it like the best I've ever had and like be the best for anyone who's ever. You are sick nasty. And like, I am so sorry that Jess even had to pretend, like, she enjoyed having sex with you. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:46:15 The second he started talking to Bree and was like, so was it the best sex you've ever had? Like, I could be better. It was like, this is gross at this point. Like, this is not. And then have you guys seen the photo flying around on the internet about his, like, his LinkedIn pro, his, like his model shot? Oh, yeah. In what world was Chris a model?
Starting point is 00:46:33 Like, I feel like this was his, like buddies. He hired a guy. Yeah, he just hired someone to take some pictures of him. And what's crazy is that they said in the episode that he didn't have social media and that after this breakup with Jess, he made an Instagram account to like DM Brie and then was posting pictures in a strip club with like a stripper on his lap. First of all, I feel like those are like breaking the rules of strip clubs. I don't feel like you can like take photos in a strip club.
Starting point is 00:47:03 No, it's giving he got rid of an old profile. It's giving he's trying to... Ah. He's giving, I don't want people to find out about my past. If that is a photo that I see of a man and then I see that, that man, Chris, that we've been watching on television, walk through the door. Like, you've been... That photo is giving, though, like...
Starting point is 00:47:21 He looks like Lucas Bravo. It's the trend where people use AI to make them look like gods and stuff, you know? If he is using an AI made photo as a profile picture, we have like bigger issues on our hands. Especially when he has this cast photo. That's crazy. Yeah. And can I just say, on top of... Chris, outside of the female thing, I felt so bad for Connor because I'm like, it sounds like Chris texted Connor after his breakup.
Starting point is 00:47:43 And then it's like they're actually friends and he goes into the bathroom and talks shit about him. Yeah. What? I'm going to get Bree and what is he going to fight me? Also, Connor is so much hotter than Chris and in personality and looks and everything. You know, Chris is the kind of guy that in love his mind specifically will do this to me more than any other show. But Chris really specifically is like, I am so glad that I have no intent. on experiencing the touch of a man anytime soon.
Starting point is 00:48:08 I will say I'm I am also a little bit frustrated in the conversation that he had with Ashley Priy and Brie where he's like telling them the story of what happened and they're all kind of like well that's okay well you can like knowing Jess's side of it all and like not any of them having Jess's back. I will say Bree was it was good that she sent because just said that Bree sent her the screenshot or like told her that he DM'd slid into her DMs. I hope it was Bree. She just said a girl. I think it was Bree, but either way, either way, the way that she was speaking to Chris,
Starting point is 00:48:48 the way that it was edited at least, it looked like she was entertaining it or enjoying the conversation that they were having. And she was not shutting it down. I hope it was the editing. I do too. Because it also like, if she did, she did not stick up for her man, not one. Like you've got this guy being like he's not dominant enough. He's so submissive. Like you're going to be unhappy. And not once did we have her being like, hey, I'm happy. I'm good. I don't need you to like try to come for my man. Like, we're in a good place. Yeah. Not once. Maybe they cut it out. Yeah. He even said, he even asked her like, is it the best sex you've ever had? Like if you're talking about your fiance, I don't care if it's the best sex you've ever had or not. If you're talking to another man who you have a history with and they ask you that. question. Yeah, he is the best I have ever in my life had. He blows me away. He's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:49:42 You can never say, oh, no, like not the best, but it's decent. Good. I guess. He's your fiance and you're talking to your ex. Yeah, that was frustrating. Anyway. Another wild conversation was Emma on the whole kid conversation. You know, it's a fascinating conversation because obviously it really, I think her story is, I mean, fascinating in general, that are being adopted, and she's been very open about, you know, all the, you know, feelings she has about having kids. I just never heard a parent on camera, like, it's recorded.
Starting point is 00:50:16 And she was like, I love my kids, but if I could do it over again, I wouldn't have kids. Crazy. And I mean, again, I appreciate the honesty, but like, they're going to be playing that tape with their therapist coming up. How do you explain that one? to the kids. Yeah. You know? But also, you know, obviously the kids' conversation is very sensitive
Starting point is 00:50:37 for people. I think on both sides, but like, I think it's, you know, if someone's like struggling with, hey, do I want to have kids? I don't want to have kids. I think sometimes as parents who enjoy being parents, they can be a little pushy when it comes to like their positive experience and like sometimes you don't want to do that. On the flip side, though, like the do, like, I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be on the fence, whether I want to have kids or not, and have a parent being like kind of regret it you know like and then someone's like they'll ruin your vacation i mean i guess i don't know like we had a really lovely time with river in mexico you know like yeah i will say though i i love mike i do like him but i do feel like he's pushing it a little
Starting point is 00:51:20 too far obviously emma knows that she needs to make some sort of decision here because he needs an answer before they get married but like even him making that comment when the kids were around being like, see, doesn't that do anything for you? Don't you put on some slack given that there's a wedding two weeks away? I mean, they're... Yeah, but she knows. Like, she's aware. I think they both are aware.
Starting point is 00:51:42 But we all agree that regardless of whatever, like having kids for any couple is a non-negotiable topic. You either want them or you don't. And I think they're having a lot of great conversations on the show about this conversation, which is like, it's not something you hope people change, right? Like, because you don't want to have that person. resent this decision and things like that. So they're being really honest about, hey, we sign up for the show.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Part of this experiment is to, if we get to the end, to literally get married. Not engaged like on the bachelor's out where we're going to be like, let's see, to literally get married. So they have to get to the bottom of this decision on whether they both want to have kids or not want to have kids. And, you know, is he pushing it? Sure. I'm guessing in the real world, he'd be like, yeah, we can, we'll tackle that.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Yeah. I don't need to get to that right now. Like, yeah, we'll date for a while. It's great. You know, I don't need this answer. But he does need an answer. And they both need an answer. For sure.
Starting point is 00:52:39 And the struggle with her is that she is unsure what she wants. You know, she's, and that makes it even more difficult because it's not like she's like, listen, I just don't want to, I don't want to have kids. But I also think that like maybe this experiment for her has opened her eyes because it felt like she kind of had the realization about the surgeries and everything with him that like that was what was stopping her from wanting to have kids where it's very easy for somebody I used to say for the longest time when I was a teenager that I was like, I never want to have kids, but I had a rough childhood that I was like I would never put onto my kids
Starting point is 00:53:07 what my parents did to me. So I understand her point of view from that. And I also think it was a very interesting thing that nobody was really listening to her because the friend and everyone was like, oh, kids are hard. You've never wanted them. So like, I think they're trying to be protective in the idea that they don't want her mind changing after a couple of weeks of being with this guy. But to her point, she said, I'm allowed to change my mind. And I was like, nobody's listening to her where she's saying like, I, things have come up that she didn't realize is the reason why she felt the way she did so strongly about not having kids and with having a partner that will go with her and get these tests done and understand what she's going through, then it all of a sudden makes it more of a reality versus like, well, I went through this and I've suffered through this alone and I've never had somebody on my side before. So I think that this has definitely opened her eyes to the possibility of what it could be to have a family. Yeah, that's a great way to put it. It was interesting that her parents didn't realize. It was her dad. It was like, oh, is that that that's part of the reason. Like he wasn't a of that. Yeah, I don't think she was aware of it either, though. I think she just, like, felt like she struggled
Starting point is 00:54:04 alone. She, you know, she's fitting into a family and whatnot and, you know, feeling different with her scars. And, like, you saw how hard it was for her to open up about the scars that I'm just like, I think that she realized a lot about herself and why she didn't want to have kids or why she wasn't open to the idea beforehand because she's never had a conversation with someone who made her feel comfortable with the idea of having kids. Yeah. Yeah, that changes how I feel about Mike, I guess. I think they're nice. So, Alex, bad news or just a guy who just had. hasn't quite found himself and, you know, just maybe not ready to settle down, maybe not ready to get married.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Maybe I think he's like a shapeshifter. I think sometimes parents know best. Yeah. Yeah. I think the dad's radar is on. I think that conversation with Ashley where she's like, can we just like talk about like your past relationships? Like, you know, I'm like, I'm not trying to grill you anything.
Starting point is 00:54:53 I'm just like curious. And then caught him literally being like, yeah, I'd cheated on one with the other. And she's like, wait. So in September, you were dating her, but you also went to Texas to see the other girl you were hooking up with. And the way that his brain was like, holy fuck, how do I get out of this? It was like, I wanted to shake Ashley to be like, trust your gut. Like, you just felt it. Like, this man just feels like such a Ponzi scheme to me. Yes. No mad. That's a perfect way to do. Yeah. When I was watching that scene, I was kind of like multitasking.
Starting point is 00:55:34 You know, his tone, you're almost like, yeah, no, you know, all right. You know, because if you're not really paying attention to the details, it kind of sounds like he always sells it as normal. So if you're not really listening, you're kind of like, yeah, yeah, sure. All right. And also it was like a situation ship. Like we weren't even like dating. Like I asked her if she wanted to date and she didn't. So like even if like we were together, like it wasn't cheating.
Starting point is 00:55:56 So we hooked up, but we weren't together. What I do remember is that he. emphasized that this is in fact the truth. And he did it in a way that makes me go, you don't tell the truth a lot because you really want points for this one. You know? And this is me being honest. And the job situation for me reminded me of Jacks Taylor getting a job offer in Florida when he was after he cheated it was great way where it was just like, he was like, well, I could have a coaching job in Arizona. I can also have, I also have a contract coming in Florida. If you have a contract coming in Florida, you wouldn't even be considering a non-contract
Starting point is 00:56:28 in Arizona. But it's like, I've never met a man that's got sick. six different options of a job that he can go anywhere and he's employed. Anytime a man is telling you he's considering moving to Florida, run. I still think there's a world where maybe not next year or today that, I think like Chris, Chris seems like a not a good guy. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like to go on the show like this and think you can fool everyone, but you're so toxic, in so many ways, it just oozes out of you.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And my hope for Alex is that he's just like, a. late bloomer as many young men in today's world are and he's he's certainly have had a difficult life i think it is difficult not knowing who your dad is and like you know shout out to his mom the truck driver who's like raised him uh but i'm hoping for the best of him and i think i hope that he learns that he doesn't have to shape shift and he doesn't have to like story tell to get people to like him but like my hope for him is that he's he's not a bad guy he's just not a finished product I was going to say the mom's conversation was pretty humanizing for me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Like just her perspective and how she's saying, I just hope that like, even the soccer part, whatever you want to say about it, her being like, you know, that was his everything. I just hope that eventually can like give back to him. Oh, sure. I don't think. Yeah. I mean, if you don't play sports, I think it's easy to mock him talking about soccer and obsessing over the soccer and the storyline.
Starting point is 00:57:53 But like if you know any athlete who's committed their whole life to this one thing, I mean, quite honestly, like a lot of athletes have some. serious mental health struggles, trying to make that transition from dedicating their entire life to this one thing, having some of their dreams not become a reality and having to find new purpose in life. It's a real thing. Yeah. I think when you put Alex next to Chris, Alex doesn't seem so bad. Truly. All right. Well, more episodes will be coming out soon and we'll be watching and talking along with y'all. But right now, get ready to have some fun with the very hilarious comedian Deney A's.
Starting point is 00:58:31 Deney, welcome to the show. What's up, y'all? How you doing? So excited to have my wife's southern accent. Oh, it's going to come through. It comes out. Especially knowing you're from Auburn, it's got to come through. It comes out. And I just spent the last weekend in Georgia.
Starting point is 00:58:43 So it, like, was really out. And River was with us. And my sister says purdy. Purdy. And so we were going around the farm, and she was like, with that purdy horse. And Southern River was like, purdy. What is purdy? Herdy.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Yes, it's so cute. Does your family say far instead of fire? No, they say fire. Or they say oil and not oil. Oil, yeah. Yeah. Or ice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Ice. Ice. Oil throws me. I'm always like, what? You know, my family's like, look at that far over there. It's real far. Yeah. Then your girlfriend's from my hometown, I found out.
Starting point is 00:59:17 She is. I know. And she is just like her accent is non-existent. Y'all actually speak the way I think English was intended. Y'all enunciated. Every once in a while. Every once in a while, I'll say something like, When your company's growing fast, order fulfillment can make or break your success.

I feel like she's just getting pickier and pickier. And honestly, it makes mealtime just a little stressful. So we've really been leaning on Little Spoon because Little Spoon is a brand that I depended on when she had first started with purays and we're getting into solids. I really leaned on little spoon because I trust their ingredients. They don't compromise on ingredients, nutrition, transparency, or even safety. And it makes meal time that much easier. At our house, the big hit lately is the grass-fed beef meatball biteables.
Starting point is 01:01:35 River thinks it's basically meatballs with mini mac and cheese. And we love that it's loaded with hidden veggies like butternut squash and carrots. It's also so fun for me to just open up the freezer and for her to pick whichever one she wants because they're all like colorful and cute and aesthetically pleasing. And she has fun picking out which one she wants. The biteables are cut to size pinchable meals that make the transition to table food feel easy supporting self-feeding skills, palate expansion, real nutrition at the same time. With 100 plus ingredients banned across the board, I don't have to overthink labels or second guess what I'm serving. It's already been thought through for me, and that confidence makes all the difference. Feeding the kids doesn't have to be
Starting point is 01:02:07 complicated. Little Spoon makes it easy with real nutritionally balanced meals and snacks designed for every stage. It shows up, ready to go, takes the pressure off, and somehow still gets devoured, veggies and all. No artificial dyes, flavors, or sweeteners either. And you know what? You know your pet is part of your family. You do pretty much anything for them, right? But those vet bills, yeah, they can really add up. And that's why we checked out the ASPCA pet health insurance program.
Starting point is 01:02:54 The program offers customizable, accidental, and illness plans making easier to get your pet the care they need when they need it. It's been around for almost 20 years and have covered nearly one million pets in that time. I don't know about you, but both Jeff and Steve at various occasions got into some stuff they shouldn't have eaten. And that was both scary and expensive before we got the insurance. We had to take them to late night vet hospital. That's never fun. It's even worse when you don't have good pet insurance. When you enroll in the ASPCA pet health insurance plan, you can get a $25 Amazon gift card.
Starting point is 01:03:28 It's a little treat for you while doing something great for your pet. To explore coverage, visit ASPCA petinsurance.com slash VIALL. That is ASPCA pet insurance.com slash VIALL. Eligibility restrictions apply. Visit ASPCA petinsurance.com slash Amazon terms for more information. This is the paid advertisement. Insurance is underwritten by either Independence American Insurance Company or United States Fire Insurance Company or produced by PTZ Insurance Agency Limited.
Starting point is 01:03:54 The ASPCA is not an insurer and is not engaged in the business of insurance. I heard locker. Locker. Someone told me I said it weird. Locker. He says roof, which I feel like is definitely. Roof.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Yeah. How do you say it? Roof. The roof. Yeah. Yeah, when I moved out to California, there was a guy out there and he kept saying, like, I need to get my roof looked at. And I didn't know what the fuck he was talking about.
Starting point is 01:04:18 And then finally I realized, oh, can we say the F word on here? Oh, yeah. Okay, cool, cool. I don't know if we could say the fuck word or not. I do. Everyone, so I am trying to make an attempt to swear less because we consider ourselves a family show. Well, my family, we did say that a lot. So I feel very much at home using the F word.
Starting point is 01:04:35 And I'm pretty sure our daughter is going to. Now, my grandmother's made it very clear. I'm to stop saying G.D. So I took that out over a year ago. But she's okay with the fuck. She's okay. Well, she doesn't like it. You can't use God's name in vain.
Starting point is 01:04:48 No, you cannot. So I took that out. And she hasn't moved churches since, so she's very excited about that. Has she been to one of your shows? Yeah. Unfortunately, she's 82. And I asked her on my first run. I was like, can you please just not come to the first couple of shows?
Starting point is 01:05:05 Let me get my legs underneath me. My cousin Tammy decided to bring my grandmother. And my last set, which was a lot different than my new set, was very crude. We were talking about, like, you know, I'm a raging homosexual. and I was talking about the first time I gave a BJ and my grandmother sitting on the front row. Oh, no. So it was just direct eye contact for an hour and 15 minutes.
Starting point is 01:05:29 I'm not familiar with that story. Well, it's a pretty quick one. It's a pretty quick one. He pretty much grabbed me by my arms and said, this is when you know you're bad at it. Like, how can a BJ be bad, right? It's like saying candy's bad, you know? Right. We've all had a popsicle. Right.
Starting point is 01:05:50 And for me, it was just like playing twist it, bop it, pullet. I didn't know what I was doing. It's definitely hit or miss. I was a mess. You know, there have been a couple times, you know, like, you know what? We can skip that. That's what he did. He grabbed me by my arms, pulled me up, and he said, we don't have to do that anymore.
Starting point is 01:06:08 And I was like, I'm so competitive. I was like, no, sir, I'm finishing and so are you. Okay. And did your grandma have anything to say after? show. She was just like, I didn't know you did that. I said, yeah, grandma gave it my best shot before I committed, you know, to becoming a full-time homosexual. So, then I had to try it out. Yeah. I had to give it a world. I did see a clip where a lovely grandmother brought her grandson to the show. What the hell? It clearly says on the tickets, 18 or older, and she brought a 12-year-old.
Starting point is 01:06:45 So I had to give him a code word once we got to that portion of the show. I was like, look, buddy, you go to the back of the room. When it's done, you can come back up. And then I forgot to give him the code word. So he just stood back there. The whole show. Did you check in afterwards? I took a picture with him.
Starting point is 01:07:02 Okay. For HR purposes. Well, about the scary part is you probably haven't said anything or taught him anything he hasn't already heard online. Yeah, that's the thing about these younger kids. I sound like my grandma when I say that. Yeah. But like, these younger kids are exposed to everything now.
Starting point is 01:07:18 And it's kind of scary. Terrifying. And they're in the no, too. Like, I even made a joke. And after I made it in front of him, I was like, you'll learn about that later. And he was like, I know what you were talking about. And I'm just like, that's crap. Chat Roulette was my only source of learning that.
Starting point is 01:07:33 I don't know if y'all were on chat roulette. I was on, um, Justin, what was the chat room? Omigal. Yes. Omega. Yeah. What's that? Omega.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Omagle. Dangerous. No, you'd like, you'd like randomly FaceTime people. And it would really, no. It was honestly so scary. It was just flipping through. It was like Tinder, but like live Tinder. We were so naive and we didn't realize the dangers of the internet.
Starting point is 01:07:56 And it was always like 12 year old little girls on there. And like my dad walked into the kitchen one day because, you know, our home computer. I feel like we all had a home computer right here. Like 12 girls and puttivers. And dad was like, what the hell are you doing? I was like, this is Fred. Yeah. He's like, who the fuck is Fred?
Starting point is 01:08:14 And I was like, he lives in Utah is always telling me. Why is Fred's pants off? I don't know. He wanted to show me his tattoo on his thigh. Yeah. I was like, oh, this isn't good. It's terrifying. Our daughter's never going to have a phone.
Starting point is 01:08:29 No. I know. It's so scary. Yeah, it's awful. She now, I mean, we like, we have an iPad. It's my iPad, but we only ever use it when we're, like, on airplanes and traveling to, like, watch Little Mermaid or whatever. So, like, she only thinks that it works. when we travel.
Starting point is 01:08:48 That's smart. Yeah. It's like, this doesn't work at home. Yeah. That's, we need to remember that, Jen.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Let's remember that. Except, you know, mom and dad are sometimes on their phone too much. Right. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:59 We're better than most, I think. It is crazy how fast. Like, she'll have my phone and she'll be looking at like, whatever, nothing,
Starting point is 01:09:06 you know, like a picture or something and a text will come through and she just knows to like she knows to like, she knows how to swipe. It's crazy. That's wild.
Starting point is 01:09:12 That's our fault. That is our fault. Yeah, Like my other niece is 13 years old and she wants to be a beauty influencer. And I was as the TikToker, I'm trying to teach her about TikTok. And she's like, no, I know all this. I know how to operate the interface. She's like, you're playing ketchup.
Starting point is 01:09:28 Yeah. She's like actually going to take notes. This is what you need to do. Yeah. Are you the cool aunt? I think so. I don't know. I hope I am.
Starting point is 01:09:37 I know that they always want to spend time with me. But they're just so, they're different than I was as a kid. I always wanted to be like outside in the woods and playing and like, you know, making forts. And they're like, let's do a get ready with me. And I'm like, I wear the same outfit every day. I'm ready. Yeah, there's no getting. Yeah, I'm here.
Starting point is 01:09:59 Yeah. I came. Yeah. This is it. I know. I know. It is wild. My sister has an 11-year-old daughter.
Starting point is 01:10:06 So she was there this weekend with us. And like, I was like, come on. Let's like get outside and let's go do something. And her, she like took River up to her room. And it's just like to see a toddler in like a big kid room and all of the big kid toys. You know, it was like this, this is soon to come. Like this is so. I wasn't up there with her for a minute.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Like I let River go up there and play by herself. And all I heard her was just like singing to herself. And she was like having so much fun. And I was like, River, what are you doing? She's like, my pan horses. Oh, okay. So cute. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:41 My niece sent me. picture. I asked her the other day in person. I was like, what do you think your first car is? Like, what do you want it to be? And she sends me a picture of a murdered out G-wagon. And I was like, ha-ha, we can dream, right? And she's like, no, no, no, this influencer, she drives it. I think it was Tiana. And I was like, yeah, so you're getting like a 1999 Volkswagen bug. Yeah, yeah, you're getting a Camry that you got to carry a jug of water. G-Wagon. That is my, that is my dream car. I heard they ride, now listen I'm never gonna have one.
Starting point is 01:11:15 I could just be hating right now because I'll probably never buy one but I heard they ride like a buck and bronco you know that's just what I've heard Not cozy. Yeah they're not cozy I heard you know
Starting point is 01:11:27 Did you roll up in a Bronco? Yeah we did My girls It rides like a Bronco It does ride like a Bronco And she's got a soft top on it And as she should And I want it to have a hard top
Starting point is 01:11:37 Because the whole time You're trying to have a conversation In the cab She's like But I can't say anything because a 19 year old just hit me head on going 50 miles an hour and like put $20,000 for the damage on my tundra. Granted, I was safe.
Starting point is 01:11:51 I got a concussion. But yeah, he nailed me, dude. And then he got out of the car and he was so aggressive. He was like, what the fuck? And I was like, I was parked. You tell me. I was parked. And he was like, this was my fifth accident in one year.
Starting point is 01:12:08 I cannot have another one. And I'm like, how do you have insurance? know it's your fault. Yeah. Period. You probably should probably stop talking. Yeah. I just sat over there and was just taking notes for the police.
Starting point is 01:12:19 I was like the fifth wreck in one year. So you were parked and he came? I was pulling out of a Walgreens. And so the front end of my car was stopped in the turning lane because these kind people had let me out. And as I was looking over my shoulder, because nobody was coming this way. And I was looking over my shoulder. Nobody was coming.
Starting point is 01:12:37 So I was about to let off the break when he nailed me. And yeah, that's. I felt like I'd taken five Lexa Pro because I was in shock. Yeah. Because it just, it gave me a concussion. And I know when the police were there, they were like, have you been drinking? And I was like, no, I just got nailed, dude. Yeah, like this is.
Starting point is 01:12:56 Airbags go off and everything. Thank God they didn't because apparently that like depreciates the car by like another 20%. And my truck's brand new. And to look there and just see the guts of my truck hanging out. Did Mr. Five accidents in a year have car insurance? He did. Thank God. Probably by the general.
Starting point is 01:13:11 You know, you probably had to call Shaq and be like, hey, are we still good, bro? He's like, yeah, that's why you pay $19 a month. I've always fascinated when we're talking to comics like you. I'm just like, how did you got your start? Is that something you always thought about doing? I was looking back. You played softball at Alabama. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:32 Were you like in college being like, you know what? I'm going to get done with the softball thing and become a stand-up comedian? No, I was definitely not at Bama thinking about being a comedian. and my coach was constantly up my ass, like having private meetings with me, being like, you need to settle down. You are so immature. My teammates were constantly telling me
Starting point is 01:13:50 to, like, grow the fuck up. And I was just more concerned about creating videos. And this was before, like, TikTok and Instagram. I was just always trying to create funny sketches and stuff just so that I could send it to my mom and be like, how funny is this? You know? And then I graduated and I did some sports broadcasting
Starting point is 01:14:10 for the SEC network. That was okay, but they kept the producer was always in my ear, being like, hey, this isn't Saturday Night Live, please talk about softball. It's like, but we want more viewers, right? And then I did pharmaceutical sales and had a pervy guy that I worked with.
Starting point is 01:14:29 So I was like, this is lame. How did you meet your girlfriend if you don't mind me asking? We met at a party through a mutual friend, and then once I was divorced, You know, that usually you need to get divorced before you start dating. That's always a good thing to do. After I was divorced, then I met her again at the ACM Awards. And at that point, my brain of, like, being attracted to people had turned back on because I was married, you know?
Starting point is 01:14:54 Yeah. And then when I saw her, I was like, yeah, there's no way she's going to date a girl that looks like Wayne's world. She's probably not even going to date a girl. So I was like, yeah, I'm just going to flirt with her for a little while, you know. I would never think that looking at you, but then you say it. I know what? You're like, that's it. Party on.
Starting point is 01:15:15 Like the most beautiful. Like the hottest. Yeah, the hottest. Like the most fuckable Wains were. Yes. Bringing on. Yeah, we started talking and I was like, I'm obsessed with her. And then here we are, nine months later.
Starting point is 01:15:31 And still, I think I'm more obsessed with her right now than I was the first week. Like in bed, I just, I can't. can't get close enough to her. Like, I have to wrap my leg around her. I have to squeeze her. Do y'all do, like, the foot thing? Oh, hell yeah. I do the foot thing.
Starting point is 01:15:46 I'm so footsie with her. That is the best part of being in bed. Did you miss? He spent the weekend without me this weekend. He got to sleep in. They played a lot of video games. A lot of video games. But now he's pregnant with twins.
Starting point is 01:16:00 Yes. And we spend... You've been doing work, son. We spend a lot of time together, which I love. We spend all our time together. And so this was like, I'm like, I may never have this four days like this alone. Right. And I didn't, I took full advantage.
Starting point is 01:16:16 I tried the whole video game thing because like I grew up playing PlayStation 2. And then I got a PlayStation 5. It's advanced. Yeah, it's advanced. But what I didn't know is that I was playing with other people, mostly 12 year old douchebag kids in Florida. And they were all wearing like fake grills and shit. And they were calling me a bitch.
Starting point is 01:16:37 And I was just like, I got on here to literally play Halo and I'm being accosted by 12-year-old gangsters in Fort Lauderdale. I got on here to have fun, guys. And this is not fun. Apparently, I have a gay voice for a girl because they just kept calling me, they kept saying that I was their PE teacher. And I was just like, how do you know I'm gay? I bet you're sitting at home right now in a Dick's sporting goods outfit. And I'm like, I am. I was like, I literally just bought this.
Starting point is 01:17:10 In your hey dudes. I'm like, whoa, how did they know that? Is there a camera in my living room right now? I did go, don't judge me. But I did go to a four-day Tony Robbins seminar event, like in person. Like bring your notebook. You're not going to go to the bathroom. You're going to have to pee in your pants. Like, you're going to sit here for 12 hours for four days. How was that? I came out of the closet on day four and I'm not shitting y'all. I literally went in. trying to grow my business at the time.
Starting point is 01:17:39 Like I went thinking it was going to help my business. And I literally called my mom and posted an Instagram like coming out story like on day four. I was like, whoa. Tony was like, wait a minute. He was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, we didn't say that's what this was for. Yeah, it was wild. Wow. Shout out Tony.
Starting point is 01:17:59 Literally, Tony. And then we walked. I mean, I sound like a psychopath right now saying it out loud. But we walked on fire on day four in the parking. That's what you do. Yeah. And if he would have offered me Kool-Aid, I probably would have drank it. My whole family were ex-Morman, believe it or not, and we're no longer in the Tony Robbins cult.
Starting point is 01:18:17 So we're easy to... Ex-Morman. Yeah. Well, I mean, I'm not actually. Ex-Mormon. My whole family was from Salt Lake City, and they just popped kids out left and right. And then they moved to Alabama, got here on a Greyhound. Yeah, that's when you know the cult's bad is when you take a Greyhound.
Starting point is 01:18:32 It's our only way out. You have to stop it. Every city. Every city on the way, yeah. Yeah, I learned that in high school. I went to Missulu, Montana on a Greyhound. Was it nice? That seems like a good place to go.
Starting point is 01:18:45 My friend from high school moved out there. It was honestly, like, you wouldn't, that's what's what's crazy? It's like, you say that out loud, and I, now I would never let me, like. Get on a Greyhound by yourself. Well, that are our kids someday. Right. Yeah. But it is true.
Starting point is 01:19:00 The predators are online. They're not in the real world. No. Just remember that. And it was like a life-changing experience. It was, like, really cool. me and my three other buddies. And people came on, people got off, we met families.
Starting point is 01:19:12 It was played cards. It was a lot of experience. That's kind of a fun podcast traveling idea where you do a podcast on the background. I don't really interview people who get on. Yeah. It's like, because every time you're in an airport, you're like, I wonder where everyone's going. Yeah. I do always like to look at, oh, Europe.
Starting point is 01:19:29 Yeah. I just did that yesterday on the way home from Charlotte. I think somebody was going to like Fort Wayne, Indiana. And I was like, huh. Why? I wonder why. Yeah. What did you got going on?
Starting point is 01:19:38 What are they doing there? I, being back home with my family, my aunt came over the first night that I was there. And she had, her and her husband, my uncle Mark, he's about seven two. So we call him tree. Wait, he's like for real seven foot two? Mm-hmm. Big guy. Big guy.
Starting point is 01:19:58 And they were at the Mexican restaurant down the street. And she came over after, you know, I'm sure having one too many. margaritas. He dropped her off. He went back home. And she comes in and she's like, I have to tell you all this story about what happened at the Mexican joint. And we're like, oh my gosh, what happened? And she's like, we were just sitting there finishing our drinks. And all of a sudden, a bowl of salsa lands on our table. These two guys behind us are fighting. They're on the ground. They're fighting. They're going crazy. Tree, my lifesaver. He tells them, hey, you better stop acting like kids. Get it together. They're all. He's saving the day. Then
Starting point is 01:20:35 he grabs one by the head, slams him on the table, pulls out his hair. Someone's like, oh my God, there's the DNA. Call the police. She said, we went back to his truck and we have never made out like that before. We were all like, oh my God, this is crazy. Like, what? Was this in Auburn? This is in Savannah.
Starting point is 01:20:53 Oh, my God, that's amazing. So then my uncle comes over like two days later, we're all cooking, having a family dinner. And she wasn't there yet. He came by himself. And we were like, oh, my, so then he starts telling us a story too. We're like, oh, we know, we heard. Then you like hit him on. This just happened?
Starting point is 01:21:08 Yeah. We're like, you hit his head on the table and you pull. He's like, whoa, I didn't do any of that. We're like, huh? She's like, I told him to stop acting like kids and fighting. She romanticized this in her head. We were like, we heard the whole restaurant was chanting hero at you. And he's like, that did not happen at all.
Starting point is 01:21:25 None of that happened. None of that happened. We're like, you didn't get back to the truck and make out. He's like, no. Oh, yeah. In her mind, she was in a rom-com. What is she reading these days? I don't know, but I'm like.
Starting point is 01:21:34 That's just so funny, like, the difference in how you tell stories to like... For sure. That was, like, so me in, I don't know, middle school or something, being like, y'all will never guess what my friend brought over. She brought over a smart board from school, and we all played on it, and Hannah Montana came. And it's like, no, same. I know. What's happening? Any time something happens in my life, I look at it through, like, the lens of, like, a comedian.
Starting point is 01:22:01 And it's like, yes, it did happen this way. the way my brain perceives it is so much funnier. Like when Jen almost hit the guy crossing the road, we were like 30 yards away, but I swear she accelerated and honked on the horn to let him know, you can't do that. If I had a camera on the cart, probably didn't go anything like that, you know? Yeah. And I just see things differently in like colors almost. It's art and storytelling.
Starting point is 01:22:26 The art and the story. And that's essentially what you're what you do on stage. Pretty much, yeah. You're just telling your stories. You're just telling stories. Yeah, I would say I'm more of a. a storyteller comic. Like, it's less like,
Starting point is 01:22:37 bittabo-b-b-ch, you know, like quick punchlines. Yeah. Yeah, it's more of like, there's jokes throughout the story, but it's definitely a storytelling show versus just like, what's one that you, when people recognize you,
Starting point is 01:22:52 that's the story that connect with the most? I would say it's probably either my first viral prank phone call during the pandemic where I called a taxidermist and asked him if he'd stuff my dog. and I thought I would like really stump him. But the problem is I called an Alabama taxidermist. So he was like,
Starting point is 01:23:10 Yeah, bring it down. We just did somebody's uncle. Yeah, literally. He was like, where's he at right now? And I was like, he's in the deep freezer. He's like, you've done everything right. You know? I was like, oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:23:23 He was like, do you want me to come pick him up or you want to bring him down here? And I was like, I'd rather bring him to you because I don't want my daughter saying him. You just kept trying to one up on them. And it never. And it just got more normal. Yeah, he was like, okay, we'll just strap him on the back, you know. I was just like, what the hell is going on? So it's definitely when people see me in person, it's usually the prank phone calls.
Starting point is 01:23:47 How do you prepare for going on stage? I usually, like being for real, I have to shit about three times before I go on stage. And then once that's happened, then I was definitely not expecting that. Yeah, no, it's. But like, systems clear. It doesn't matter if I just ate air. ice and water before. I'm going to have to go to the bathroom and then I'm just going to run through not really my punch lines, but more of like one word that I know what that means. And once I've
Starting point is 01:24:15 gotten through all those words, then I'm good to go. Do you like kind of tie in some of your, like, are you like, what is it called a callback? Are you doing some callback? Have you ever like forgotten? You know when you're telling a story and you're like, oh, fuck, that was, hold on, I forgot a good part. Wait, let me go. Yeah, once you've forgotten it, they don't need to know you forgot it, you just get on to the next one. Because early on in my career, I was like, pulled out notes. Oh, yeah, I was like, whoa, wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:24:41 And then you try to go back and it's like, you missed it. Yeah. Do you like stage work interacting with the crowd or do you find that distracting? Yeah, there's certain times where I'll strategically put it in, but what I don't love is when you're in the middle of getting your joke out and then somebody yells something that has nothing to do with what you're saying. and they've yelled it now three times and you feel like you have to acknowledge them
Starting point is 01:25:08 and now you've forgotten where you were in the joke. I've always wondered, you know, I've been to a comedy shows in my life and I just, what makes someone do that? Have you ever like talk to someone post show? Yeah, it's alcohol. They're drunk. It's okay, that's all it is.
Starting point is 01:25:22 Last night I went to a show. It was a book tour for Bunny and I was sitting there and there was a really drunk lady next to me and she just kept doing it over and over and over. And I was watching her and she was just hammered. Yeah. So when you're drunk,
Starting point is 01:25:35 you have a hard time following the rules, you know. Well, before we let you go, we love a good TV show and I know you're not watching Raleigh TV, but you are watching. You finished his and hers.
Starting point is 01:25:44 His and hers, yeah. On Netflix. Without giving it away. A lot of twists and turns. So many. Wait, I mean, it's, like, it's been out for a while. It has been out for a while.
Starting point is 01:25:53 If you haven't watched it yet, it's not our role. Watch it, like turn this. Skip. Yeah, skipped his part. I mean, the mom? The mom? the mom
Starting point is 01:26:03 I was I did not I thought the whole time and probably because they wanted me to I thought it was the lead actress you know she was always there yeah
Starting point is 01:26:13 but the mom I thought that was one of the best shows I've seen in probably a year it was really good also I have some tea for y'all if you want to talk about reality we love to so Farmer wants a wife
Starting point is 01:26:25 right yeah yeah so I don't think he had the same vibes his name's Brett Right. You know Brett on Farmer Wants Away? So after my divorce, I was like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:26:37 I've never dated a man before. Maybe, maybe this will be the man, right? So him and I started playing golf together. I think in his mind, he was just playing golf with Wayne's World. Like, in my mind, though, I was like, we might be getting married. Yeah. And then I realized really quickly that I think we were just like two brothers. you know, so I'm saying that first time publicly.
Starting point is 01:27:03 Brett, if you're watching, I thought you were really cute. And then he did tell me he believed in Bigfoot. And I was like, that's where I have to draw the line right there. So what was it? Do you feel like that really made it obvious to you that maybe y'all weren't on the same page? Probably when he never flirted back with me. That was probably it. That'll do it.
Starting point is 01:27:21 Yeah, I was like, we were always talking on the phone and we were always playing golf together. And we were going to dinner a lot. And I was like, oh. man, I was like, do I have a crush on him? And then I imagined us getting naked. And I was like, yeah, I definitely don't have a crush on him. I was like, because I think I would want to be on top the whole time. And I don't think that's his jam. You know, I don't think that's so, when it comes to reality, that's the only, I didn't actually watch the show, but I did watch him swing a lot of golfs, golf clubs. There you go. Yeah. It's as far as that went. And then ended quickly. Just as fast as it started.
Starting point is 01:27:59 Still acquaintances, but I no longer like have to, you know, drink a lot of. Did you meet him after the show? No, I met him before the show. Yeah. I've known him for probably a year and a half. Great guy, wonderful guy. But I just, you know, every time I would try to just, you know, imagine him naked while he was driving. I was just like, that doesn't do anything for me.
Starting point is 01:28:22 And he's a good looking guy. Does that happen a lot? You just imagine people naked when they're, well, when I, you know, after a divorce, when you're like, really contemplating. or you want to do that again, you're like, guys have got to be easier. Guys are not easier. No, guys are definitely, I think, I think a woman has got to be easier. We just cosplay as people who don't have feelings, but they're all just built up inside.
Starting point is 01:28:44 Yeah. Yeah. And then when you make us feel safe enough to open up, you're like, holy shit. Yeah. I think I might be a guy just dressed as a woman. Because that is me. You can't crack it out of me until, you know, it gets to the very last end. And I'm like, and then I just trauma dumped for two hours.
Starting point is 01:29:02 Yeah. And then you leave and you're like, ooh, yikes. I feel like I talked a little bit too much. I know, though. The whole car ride. Did I say too much? You're like, are they ever going to talk to me again? And they never do.
Starting point is 01:29:12 They never call back. Yeah, I was definitely just joking mostly. No, literally. Yeah. I'm sorry. I'm a comedian. I'm sorry that was too much. Yeah, no, I called my dad after like the fourth time me and him hung out.
Starting point is 01:29:24 And I was like, dad, I think I have a crush on a guy. And he was like, are you high right now? I think so. Yeah, I think so. Well, Deney, thanks for joining. Thank you all so much, guys. And remind the audience where they can get tickets. Oh, yeah, Deney Hays.com.
Starting point is 01:29:41 The Buckwild Tour. How many cities are you going to? I want to say 29. Link in bio in our show description. If you want to get some tickets and support the Deney. Well, I mean, you'll have a great time. She doesn't need a charity. So if you.
Starting point is 01:29:56 I love a fellow Alabama and, you know, just getting to her. She's so funny. This episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I mean, it was a first time I, publicly I think it was the first time we got to see Denise speak a little bit about her very public divorce. Obviously, I know this has been out there, but like I didn't, that clip they show of Aaron and Denise saying, don't say anything, you're on camera, you're on camera, you're on camera. and he goes, don't tell me what to fucking say, I will smash, I will crush your hand. I'll crush your fucking hand.
Starting point is 01:30:32 Like, that is a, that is a terrifying scene. Terrifying. Like a man who is so emotionally, like, volatile that while he's being reminded he's on camera and miced up, is more focused on the fact that his partner and wife is quote unquote telling him what to do, that he threatens to crush her hand. I couldn't even imagine that thought coming in my head.
Starting point is 01:31:02 I mean, it's also, it's like, it makes you believe everything else that Denise has to say. Because it's like, if this fan is willing to do say this on camera, like, what the hell is he going to do behind closed doors? Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying. You don't. Her stories of like after having the facelift and like sitting on the toilet and him and like needing his help. So sad. Terrify. And he's a big fucking guy.
Starting point is 01:31:24 He was awful on that season. Yeah, I remember watching that season. And Denise had to walk him off camera so many times that I feel like that within itself just raised a lot of questions. While he was arguing with women. Like that was what was the most concerning thing for me, even going back to that season is that he was literally like getting in their faces. And she was like, okay, we're leaving. Erica's call back to Sutton's event is what I think about pretty often where it was like he made it feel very personal and almost. I think someone said, is that a threat?
Starting point is 01:31:50 Yeah. Yeah. It's just like Denise Richards is such a light in the world and just an amazing presence. And so like, I don't know, she's just so special to have in the world. She's like rescuing animals and having them live in her house. And then it's like this man is just like taking full advantage. Yeah, Aaron Fipers get fucked rotten hell. Like, that's how I feel about that man.
Starting point is 01:32:12 And in hearing that Erica was the first or the second person to reach out to Denise when everything went public, like to see them in this place now with their friendship, knowing that like, the last time we saw them together with the weed dinner. Yeah. Yeah. Erica told her, obviously, a very sad story
Starting point is 01:32:27 about, you know, being a victim as well. But, you know, I think Erica is one of those people and I relate to her so much, but like she always has this very kind of ice cold persona, you know,
Starting point is 01:32:38 and she's very, yeah. And I think it's, what's true about her is like, I don't think she spends a lot of energy and time worrying about what people think. But she's a human being, so obviously you still care.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Right. and you don't get to see a lot of vulnerable moments from Erica. Obviously, this was an extraordinary vulnerable moment, but even just her talking about the case, you know, and again, I know there's, it's just a reminder that you don't really know the details, and so much of what we do know about this stuff is always second and third hand. It's always like a clip from the internet, you know, and things like that. So it's, it always just reminds you just to be careful not to,
Starting point is 01:33:18 you know, how you criticize. You know, and I don't know, maybe Eric's not above criticize them when it comes to that case, but that, it really made, that episode really made me just like, love her so much. Yeah, I mean, I have so much appreciation for both of them sharing their experiences. And I think Erica had said something,
Starting point is 01:33:36 or maybe said it where it was like, even someone who's so strong like me can still endure something like that. Yeah. And yeah, I think it was very, I don't know, it was a very moving, conversation to see both of them have on camera and just to be vulnerable in that way. It's just unfortunately relatable.
Starting point is 01:33:55 So it's like where I'm like to have two powerhouses like Erica Jane and Denise Richards and be like, oh, this happened to them too. Like it's just, it's very humanizing. And then both like acknowledging that it's like a very isolating lonely feeling. And so like to anyone who's watching who's gone through that to be like, okay, this is like normal feelings. I'm not actually this alone and this. isolated. Like, this is just how I feel right now and I'm going to get out of it.
Starting point is 01:34:22 But, yeah. I feel like, honestly, those are like the biggest conversations of the episode. We had Doreet, like, trying to flirt with this man in the Hamptons. And like, I think we learned something very important about a man of this episode. When she said, she was talking to her fiance. And it was something, when I do a manifestation, most people would pay, like, big money or whatever, like, or would be real grateful. And in that moment, I realized that Amanda doesn't spend a lot of time hanging out with her equals.
Starting point is 01:34:54 She hangs out with a lot of people who worship her, who revere her. I would, even her friends thinks she's the greatest thing ever. And I think that's, if that's true, don't know her in person, whatever. Again, just watching the TV show. But I have dated people like that. And I have had, I've known people. And if everyone around them just worships them, it's like a. huge red flag.
Starting point is 01:35:20 You have to have people who are your equals who call you out, who check you. And for her to be so shocked that these women are not down to writing their manifestations at a dinner table and they're not just like so grateful for her. And she says it, I mean, again, she's amazing TV, like incredible TV, but she truly is shocked. She seems genuinely confused. And I'm just like, this is because you don't hang out with anyone who, who actually you think is your equal.
Starting point is 01:35:51 Nick, I love Amanda, and I was gagged, like clutching my pearls when she was like talking about Doreen and said, what? That like, I'm not a woman that's like, put all my financial stability. No, no, no, she goes. Literally. And she said it like a full sentence.
Starting point is 01:36:03 I said, that's going to bite you in the ass later. She basically was like a man was your plan to get rich and it didn't work out. But she said it in such a. Yeah. She says it in a way that she is like she's going to be surprised that it doesn't sound nice or something. Can we talk about the cult stuff really quick? because I think the cold stuff to her job as a money manifester is very interesting. No, it's not a coincidence.
Starting point is 01:36:27 She definitely 100% is using things she learned in that experience to, as Beau said, to basically convince people to give her money in their pursuit of making money. Yeah. And like, can't knock the hustle. Yeah. Can't knock the hustle. But I'm glad Bose is going to make her money. be honest about it.
Starting point is 01:36:48 Literally. Yeah. An honest hustler is what I want to see. Yeah. All right. Well, now we have the interview. Many of you have been waiting for. Natalie from Traders joins us to talk about all the drama that went down in the castle.
Starting point is 01:37:01 And I have questions. Natalie, welcome to the show. How you doing? Not good. Well, I imagine it's, yeah, I mean, it's always emotional to watch it back. It seemed very emotional while you were going through it. Well, you were doing the roundtable. and you brought up how Candace brought up Rob.
Starting point is 01:37:20 And then Mara was like, that was a throwaway vote. And I was waiting for you to be like, well, the first time it was a throwaway vote, but what about the second time that Candace put Rob's name? Because I feel like if you went back and connected the dots to like, oh, well, that first time they went after Lisa and she ended up being a traitor. And then Rob went after Candace. She ended up being a traitor. And Candace both times said, Rob, I wonder why. But maybe is that something?
Starting point is 01:37:48 Because like Mara was like you don't have any evidence. And I felt like that would have been like a really good thing. But I'm just, you know, I'm curious from your perspective. What was it like in the real world? So I think I was so angry and so distracted by my overwhelming emotion of anger that I wasn't really thinking straight at that moment. I could have and would have been better at the round table if I had gone in knowing it was me versus everybody. but I went in with this like false hope of me, it'd be me, Tara and Johnny and possibly Mark,
Starting point is 01:38:23 and we were going to have each other's back. So I just had to, and I didn't do a good job of just redirecting like my purpose at the roundtable. And it kind of became a me versus Tara instead of me trying to get people to vote for Rob, you know? So that was something I did not bring up. And I obviously could have. And there would probably been so many more other things I could have said. but I was just so just thrown off guard and I just felt like I didn't have at that point this clear mindset to be like, okay, this, this, this, Natalie, these are the points you have to
Starting point is 01:38:56 fucking hone in on and go at Rob. It just became a shit show. No, I mean, I can only imagine. I must feel like it must be just a weird experience to like know your name's being thrown out at the table. And it often feels like in that moment, logic really doesn't matter. And you know that everyone has your name on their mouth and you're just like it must be a very daunting feeling. Yeah, it sucks because if you know it, it's one thing, because then you're like, prepare it. But I think having that like rug pulled out from under me and then being like, fuck, like,
Starting point is 01:39:26 is terror a traitor? Like I was so confused in that moment because I could not reason why they would do this to me last minute, except for being like super selfish and wanting them to be in the game a few more days or one more day longer. It's like, girl, like, it's so dumb. Like, do you want to win or do you want to just? just wear a cute outfit at the finale. What do you want to do?
Starting point is 01:39:47 Have you had a chance to talk to Tara at all about how it all went down and your feelings about it? Yeah, we've connected. And like, I understand it's a game. And like we've connected and we're fine. But at the same time, like, I'm emotional because I care about doing well on these shows. And maybe the weight of winning for me is more than winning for her. And maybe the $250,000 makes a bigger difference in my life than it would for her.
Starting point is 01:40:12 And also coming out as a gamer, I have a very normal life. And I go out every couple of years and I get to do these amazing shows. I want to fucking do well. Like I don't want to just coast and I don't want to just show up there and walk around the castle, you know? So it's very different. And I'm so frustrated with myself and how I played. So why can't I also have frustrations for my teammates out there?
Starting point is 01:40:36 Tell me that makes sense. When you reflect back, what are things you'd love to have done different? I think I should have just owned who I was. I was really nervous to go out there and be targeted. And I didn't have a big shield. And so besides, it's crazy rapable. He was a shield for everybody for a while. But I just played more coy than I wanted to.
Starting point is 01:40:57 And I was always saying like, I want to do this. But I was like, oh, they're going to think I'm a trader. And obviously the moment I showed anything, like at the banquet when I went crazy, like everybody was like, oh, she's a traitor, even though it makes zero sense for a trader to do that. anything I would have done, spook would have spooked them all out. But I wish I just said, fuck it. Like you might as well go guns blazing, which I did at the end. That was my true self.
Starting point is 01:41:22 So I wish I just was more aggressive and more like just trying to do more things out there instead of being scared of doing the most, you know. Watching the dagger part back where Rob took the dagger from you. What the hell? Like that's so bad. Watching it, I definitely, like, did not know it was you. Did you watching it back were you like, okay, yeah, I guess I didn't make eye contact with him. And like, I guess I see what he saw, but what the hell?
Starting point is 01:41:54 What the hell? Yeah, I was, I'm such a good liar and survivor. Like, I was literally lined through my teeth and nobody could tell. And then I fumble this one, one move I had to do. And I think it also mattered because he was my number one. So I was like, ha ha, that's funny. Me and my number one have a secret together. And then he told everybody anyway, but watching it back was embarrassing.
Starting point is 01:42:16 I was like, go. You could have done better than that. And I don't know why I lied about it being cold. And he like was so smart with it. Like he asked the question that he knew the answer to and I lied. And then he asked me another question. So then it's like, yeah, she's going to lie about the weather. Why wouldn't she just lie about the dagger too, you know?
Starting point is 01:42:33 You were as close with Rob as anyone in the house. And obviously I think since some people have left, they were surprised about Rob being a traitor. people have thrown out accusations about like other former faithfuls like slipping Rob information or things like that. But as someone who is very close to Rob, what's your take on that whole situation? So I think that Rob would never compromise him winning because he didn't have to. Like I think there's a combination of him being really good at being a traitor and then the faithful is just not being on the same team and playing together.
Starting point is 01:43:05 And I don't think Rob needed to do anything to help his chances. I think we was helping him enough. I think that he played a really good game. And coming from somebody, all the gamers respect Rob's game. And for me, when I found out he was a traitor, like at that point I knew it was like 90% probably him. Obviously you can't know 100%. I was like fucking rooting for him.
Starting point is 01:43:27 Like the part of me that didn't vote for him at the end is like, I didn't want to give them any more information that they already knew. And I wanted to leave them confused. So it was kind of like a little bit of a petty move voting for, Tara because I was like mad at her. And then the other like 50% was like, I just don't want them to be on Rob anymore. Like I would rather Robwin than Tara and Johnny would at this point because, oh my God, I would just go jump in a in a lock somewhere if they want.
Starting point is 01:43:53 What did you make of them airing that Johnny was like, I think the two, I think there's two traders and I think it's Rob and Eric. And he nails it. Right after. That means that they knew at the table. Like there's no way you can convince me. Me and Tara had this moment. And there's very few moments in that house where it's like a come to Jesus moment where you're like,
Starting point is 01:44:14 oh my God, come to a faithful. Like you know you're a faithful. I had that with Monet. He was taken away from me. I had that with Jam Jam. He was taken away from me. And I had this moment with Tara when we connected and we looked at each other and we're like, fuck, it's not each of us we can work together.
Starting point is 01:44:29 Like that was the most frustrating thing is that she knew and she still, she says it after she goes from me. She's like, I don't think you're a traitor, but here you go. I'm like, what the hell? But at this stage in the game, to your point, it's just like, what do you think they're motivated? I mean, are they this obsessed with Rob where they're just like they don't care? But like, I mean, I get early on when there's so many people, you kind of don't necessarily go for who you think the traitor is.
Starting point is 01:44:54 But at this stage, the stakes are pretty high game wise, right? And it's just like, like it's like as if they're playing for Rob. It doesn't, it doesn't make sense. It's so frustrating because the round table before I could have gone for Johnny and got his dumbass out. But I knew he wasn't. trader. So I was being a good faithful and being like, it's not, you can't play it. It's not me. So who cares? Let let it be some other idiot, even if they're a faithful. Like I was playing a game where the
Starting point is 01:45:19 faithfuls could go to the end and try and win. And it was playing with them was like playing with people who didn't care about winning. They just want to self-preserve between the two of them and make it one more day together. Like that is so frustrating because they both of them knew deep down inside I wasn't a traitor, but they were willing to just sacrifice me and be like, you know what? whatever, went over it, it can be you today and maybe tomorrow will make something happen. Did you have any initial suspicions about Rob being a traitor before Tara brought it to you? So I feel like it was really hard for me to admit some of the things that I was feeling about Rob because I had nobody. And in that castle, when you feel like you have nobody,
Starting point is 01:45:58 giving up somebody who makes you feel like they trust you is very difficult. And that's what I had with Rob. We had a relationship had been a little bit strained and he was acting a little bit of weird, but it's almost like Tara gave me the authority to lean into those, those feelings that I was kind of ignoring. And so I had these things, like, one was like, why do, I know I'm strong on these challenges, but they could still do it without me. And I was like, who's saving me? And like, that was something that was reoccurring because I'd been up for murder a couple of times. And I was like, who the fuck? None of these people would save me except Rob, you know? Like, so having
Starting point is 01:46:33 Tara, like, come to me was like this, like, it felt almost like this freeing moment of being like, No, no, lean into that, Natalie. Lean into those feelings and just go for it. Yeah, it's interesting to hear that you kind of felt like on an island, but you had, you know, you got a friendship with Rob. And it seems like this was part of Rob's strength, maybe also as a person, not just as a game player, but like you don't seem to be only one in the house
Starting point is 01:46:56 who didn't feel like they had like a group or a posse of friends, but Rob took the time to, like, bond with you. Yeah, definitely. I mean, I bonded with him really early and I held on to that because the other people that I had were taken away from me. And I think Rob's demeanor allowed me to, to like kind of gravitate towards him to make me feel like I had somebody in the game. And whether he knew it or not,
Starting point is 01:47:20 it was a really good strategy for him to have, especially with the people that weren't in these, like, cliques of people. Because there was like Kristen, Tara, Johnny, and Mark, they were kind of like in a click. And the other people that were kind of like the stragglers at the end, like keeping us like connected to him and like keeping us close was really smart especially somebody like me who he knew I didn't have any of my gamers I didn't have anybody around except for him uh it was really smart you know uh well now you know you have to go we appreciate you taking the time
Starting point is 01:47:52 it was really a pleasure to watch you on this season of the traders and we're excited to uh see what you have to say at the reunion i mean are you really are you are you that frustrated with the whole experience or yes like for me it's very hard because regret is something that and like forgiveness. I think it's Survivor, losing Survivor, the way I did my second season. Like you win, I want Survivor, right? Then I played Survivor and I came second place and I lost $2 million because of a mistake I made,
Starting point is 01:48:18 not somebody else. It's very hard to go through that again. And like it brings up old emotions for me. So it's like difficult. It is difficult. And like I said, like the weight of the loss weighs heavier on me than some of the celebrities in the house. And I think that obviously, obviously affects it too.
Starting point is 01:48:35 but I still had so much fun. I think that the reason these shows are so amazing and is so much fun is because of how much the thrill of winning is so great. So you have to take the losses as well. Well, Natalie, again, we appreciate you taking the time. And thanks for all your perspective and your honesty.
Starting point is 01:48:54 Thank you guys. All right, take care to know. All right, bye, bye. Thank you to our guest, Natalie and Dene Hayes for joining us. Thank you all for listening. We will see you back on Thursday.
