Starting point is 00:00:13 What's going on everybody? Welcome back to another exciting episode of the Vile Files Reality Recap Edition. I'm your host, Nick. I'm back. My lovely wife is not yet. She is at home with the babies, the family of five, crushing life. Spoilers. You gave birth?
Starting point is 00:00:32 Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Well, congrats. It's crazy to go from a family of three to a family of five. Like overnight. How's it been? Great.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Awesome. Living my best life. saw 2 a.m. photo of you guys. You were smiling. You were smiling. It's the absolute best part. It was an awesome experience. I don't even know where to start.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Yeah, everyone's healthy. Everyone's great. Yeah, it was an awesome, awesome experience. I don't want to give too much away. Like, I want Nallie when she comes back to be able to talk about, like, you know, her experience as the mom, the most important person in this equation. But it was an amazing experience.
Starting point is 00:01:10 And man, it was, yeah, I'm just like living my best life. right now. I'm in my element. Like, as a guy who's actually, who's love language is active service, like, I am, I'm filling my cup hard. It's like, it's, it's the absolute best. What's been like the best part so far for you as, like, a dad?
Starting point is 00:01:27 Well, it's really just like taking care of my family. It's awesome, you know, and, you know, like, I think just, you know, with Natalie, everything that she's had to go through, I mean, I'm like, it's just like incredible. The woman's body? Unbelievable. She posted the photo of like,
Starting point is 00:01:43 when she was pregnant and then after the birth. And it's like... Well, sure. I mean, obviously Natalie is like... Super human. Amazing. Yeah. Like, she seems to be really good at this.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Hopefully. Yeah. Yeah. Making baby thing. Also, our daughters, fascinating. They look so different. They are very, they are, in fact, two very different people. Which everyone, like, says that. You know, it's just like, like, doctors would be like, just, you know, like, they are two different people.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Yeah. And it's weird because, like, when they were born at first. It was, it was like, at first, I'm like, oh, they're kind of, they look the same, but like, they just got out of. They had the goop. So you can tell already that they look so different. Not remotely close. Wow, really? I'm dying to see them.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Oh, my gosh. Wait, really? So, so different. Are they wearing the same, like, swaddles? Are you different? They don't even worry about that. Like, when the pediatrician came in to, like, check on the babies, they're like, you know, they're all, you know, giving nice tips and tricks and things like that. and they suggested that maybe we paint one of their nails,
Starting point is 00:02:44 you know, just to paint their nails. Like one of them. Like Marco. A full manor. No, it looks like a. Mani Petty.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Yeah. Some kind of marker where you can tell them apart. Right. Like we don't need to do that like at all. The one that looked that resembled your family, whatever inside. I don't know what you guys saw about. There was one. I don't know it was baby B or A.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Iris. Iris. Okay. Coming out, does she also still resemble your family in the way that you guys thought? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I think so.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Like, Dove. Minnie Natalie. No way. Oh my gosh. She's a little mini, mini Natalie. Pretty sure. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:19 But then I will say, we make some very symmetrical babies. And I know, like, and I say this, and I know you guys know, like, humility is a strength of mine. Uh-huh. For sure. For sure.
Starting point is 00:03:32 It's one of the, actually the first thing when people are like, what's it like working for a knowing that? I'm like, she's just like the most down. It's humility. Yeah. It's humility. Yeah. So your babies are very symmetrical.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Yeah. You did make two at once, so symmetry. Yeah. Well, there's an element of like knowing, well, not knowing. You know how fun I am of my wife. Is it wrong as a parent to like, listen, I just, you want your kids to, I don't know, have. The best possible life ahead of them. Chance.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Chance. Chance. You want them to have skills and whatever. And like, you know, I don't think there's a better privilege than pretty privilege. And I, yeah, I hope my kids have the gene of looks. Yeah. Not like in a superficial way. I just like they're objectively, this will be a little easier.
Starting point is 00:04:24 For sure. If that goes their way. 1,000 percent, absolutely. But at the end of the day, you and Natalie are such a good team together. Gorgeous equals gorgeous. Exactly. And like you guys care so much about how you're raising them. you guys protect them.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Like even how we've seen you with River, like regardless, like obviously they're going to be beautiful. Like look at you guys. You know, maybe we do good babies, but do we do good humans? I don't know. I mean, And that's the most important part.
Starting point is 00:04:52 That's the most important part. But I think you guys have that down too, just with how you are with River. Like you guys are such a family of love. Like regardless of how they look, which they're beautiful, obviously. Oh, thank you. They're great.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I think the most important thing for a kid is like knowing that you have that like foundation of care behind you at all times. And I think that's what you guys are. like so good at providing. Well, I appreciate you guys saying that. But yeah, I mean, most of the parents I get to talk to who have young parents, I think share our perspective, which is just like, there is no better opportunity for a couple to be a team in this moment of like waking up in the middle of the night and like doing that shit together.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Like it's such like it's such a high. Yeah. You get through every night and you're kind of like, we did that shit. You know? That's awesome. Like you burp them, you put them to bed. You know, like it's such a fun. opportunity and you really feel like i'm you know like now and i always focus on like really being a team
Starting point is 00:05:47 and being connected but like there is no easier way of being in that like being a team and and and connecting as a couple than like you know and that was first couple weeks of of raising you know little babies do they wake up at the same time like when like how does that work when you go for the most part you know, like, you know, Iris has been a little, you know, cranky here or there. But they're, you know, the trick is we've heard from a lot of like twin parents try to keep them on the same schedule and things like that. But yeah, I mean, so far, they're pretty good. Do you have night and day or is it just all blending? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Like, are, there's a two-part question. Are you caffeinated and also do you get to sleep? Because, like, are you waking up or going to sleep? And that's another thing. Like, again, every experience is different. but like for the most part I this yes listen the
Starting point is 00:06:40 the waking up for the every you have to feed the twins every like two or three hours right so like that's not fun waking up a couple times that night but it's just not that it's like not that bad yeah you know and like you're just on such a high that your body doesn't tell yeah I mean I'm not Natalie's a lot different because I mean
Starting point is 00:06:59 she's just what she has to like the recovery you know and everything went pretty smooth for her but just like the hormones that like it's a lot a lot that like are coming out of her body and like you know that she's giving to the babies and things like that her body is healing at the same time she's also like you know breast milk's coming in that's a whole wild experience oh my god like what a what a feat truly what like as my friends and my sister had a baby this past year and things like that like but as people in my life start to have kids and you realize like what the body does it makes you realize like not in a weird way, but how, I see us all as humans, but then when you see a mom become a mother, you're like, whoa, like that's next level of, I don't know how to describe it. It's almost like, it's like, it's like, it's like nature, you know, you're just like, it's crazy. Susie, I've said it before that I used to be so fascinated and would watch, this sounds weird, but I would watch, like, pregnancy videos growing up because the fact that, like, anybody's body can create that.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Yeah. And just, the process and the journey is just, like, fascinating in general. It's also just like, you ever watch a baby calf being born? All the time. Yeah. I wasn't on that time. Right? No, I just think of a lot of the times when I think of, this sounds weird, but when I think of, like, you know, like humans having kids and stuff and the way we like take care of them, you look like the way like mammals or whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Like any other, like have kids of just this like, not. Like it is so, you know. It's like nature. Yeah. It's like nature. It's crazy. I feel like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:28 And we get so like. We feel separate from nature until a woman has a baby. And then you're like, whoa. Yeah. Nothing could create this. And then one day you're eating cereal and you're like, damn, this is what the cat, like, oh shit, you know? No, it's totally. Totally get what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Thanks, Nick. But, yeah, it's, I don't know, like, it's such a fun experience. And, like, for me, like, I feel like just my job is to just make whatever Natalie needs, which is such a, like, again, rewarding experience. Like, my job, I feel like is to just make sure. that she feels good in any given moment. And every feeling right now for her, especially like post-delivery, postpartum, the mom's out there get an absolute like feelings hall pass.
Starting point is 00:09:15 Every feeling, because everything is into, and I did, oh my God, last night, horrible. We had a horrible experience. I fucked up. Uh-oh, what happened? Like, you know, there's, once you, when you have a baby, like, and the nurses will, like, tell you, be careful if you, like, feed, don't drop your baby.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yeah. Because, like, that's, that's pretty much, they tell you though, right? Don't drop the baby. Certainly on purpose, but like accidentally don't, don't drop the baby. Don't do that. That's definitely the one thing you don't want to drop the baby. The second most egregious thing you can do post-dropping the baby is spilling the breast milk.
Starting point is 00:09:47 On the baby? It's gold. Just, I would have preferred to spill it on the baby. It's a limited resource. It's a limited resource. And again, like, what Nally has to do to produce that. And again, it's very emotional. it's very like it's very
Starting point is 00:10:04 does she produce double is that how the body works because she gave birth to or is that just the math is divided? I think maybe nature has a way but my understanding when it comes to like breastfeeding and things like that you just you see what happens
Starting point is 00:10:17 you go with the flow. It's a privilege to have it right? Yeah sure yeah and it's my job to just make Natalie feel like everything is fine everything is okay there's a everything is a problem that can be solved you know you're doing great you know
Starting point is 00:10:30 there's so she mom's I think, you know, Natalie, so much pressure on themselves, they want to, like,
Starting point is 00:10:37 obviously, you know, they're listening to their bodies, but they apply a lot of pressure of what their bodies do or don't do. I'm there to just be like, if we have to use formula, we have to use formula,
Starting point is 00:10:47 everything is fine, you know, you're doing great, you know, every feeling is valid. You're, you're doing fine. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:10:53 I spilled the breast milk, and I just like, I literally screamed. I was like, no, Natalie's mom walked in. She's like, are you okay?
Starting point is 00:11:01 I'm like, no, Not for long. And then I had to tell Natalie who bursted in tears when I told her. It was like, you know, that's like telling her heartbreaking news.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Yeah. So I felt really terrible. I felt like a real piece of shit. We got through. It happens. Accidents happen. Oh my God. You got to start milking yourself.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Yeah. If I would, I could. Yeah. If I could, I would. If I could, I would. Yeah. And that's the acts of service king inside of you.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Shout out to our doctor, Dr. LeBrandt. I got to say she really, we're lucky to have our doctor because like, you know, like, I don't know how your sister is. I don't know how your sister's bedside manner is because like when it comes to doctors, there's no guarantee you're going to have like a doctor with like good bedside manner in terms of like talking you through it. I don't know what her bedside manner is and labor. I've never experienced that before. I got to say, crucial especially for an OB. Yeah, OB.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Okay. Because you would be doing obstetric. Well, I'm a little neurotic, as you may or may not know. And so when Iris came out first, and I got to say, like, when River was born, right before River was born. Now he's like, do you know what babies can look like when they like first come out? I was like, no. She's like, I need to show you some pictures.
Starting point is 00:12:21 I've seen those pictures. Yeah. Because you can get really cone, like you can have like a cone head or just like some kind of like a, it almost looks like a. It's because their schools are malleable. been fed through the canal. But they also have like this like a, not even like a cone head. Cone head would almost look like maybe a little symmetrical,
Starting point is 00:12:37 but they can have like these like, I don't even know what they're called, but like, like a bump, like a bump, you know, just from the, like, River had one and it went away like in minutes. But she showed me some pictures like just in case. So I wasn't like. Freaked out. Freaked out. Yeah. Iris came out just like.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Chilling. I'm ready for my close up. Yeah. Just like. Ready for the manny penny you were talking about. Like put them on. Absolutely just symmetrical. Just.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Just glowing. It was wonderful. Dove has a little bit of a stark bite. What I will say about the delivery, and I talk about Bedside Manor, is Dove was breach. And I'll let Natalie tell like the whole kind of, but Dove was breach. And if you, not ideal in delivery, but with twins,
Starting point is 00:13:21 if it's the second baby, some doctors, if they're comfortable, we'll do that. And so when, when when dove was being delivered, I look up and I see the doctor like, yanking her legs. Yeah. Yeah, they'll like get in there.
Starting point is 00:13:39 You get in there. Yeah, that's their job. Their whole hand is up. And like they know what they're doing. Wait, the baby's legs or Natalie's legs? The babies. The baby. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:48 They'll pull them out. Pull. Yeah. Pull. And anyway, our doctor is like coaching us through. Like she knows like what parents may or may not be worried about. about. So when Dove was born, she's like purple. She's limp for briefs. And as soon as she pulled her out, our doctor was like, this is immediately like, this is totally okay. This is totally normal.
Starting point is 00:14:09 They just got to like wake her up and everything. Because like afterwards, I'm like, boy, when you have twins, like, because I went over with River, I just went over to River because they pulled the baby and they do all the looking, they're breathing, they're sucking goop out of them, checking their heartbeat and things like that. And obviously, like, there's so many like, and people in there just, they're doing their job. And like, you know, a lot of doctors, you know, you can, I'd rather have a great doctor than necessarily a doctor who's just really good at bedside manner. You would certainly, if you have to choose, choose the former.
Starting point is 00:14:42 But it's great when you have both because like neurotic nick, boy, like for the nurses, and again, they're not all like trained, they're not the doctor and they're maybe not focused on bedside manner. So like, you know, they're doing so many like tests. So afterwards, I'm like, is that okay? Are she okay? And they're all very serious. They have a very serious look.
Starting point is 00:14:59 And there's like 20 different moments of tests and opportunities where you're just like, is that okay? Is this normally happen? Is this normal? Yeah. Like I got, I was so annoying that now I was like, Nick, stop. Stop asking all these questions. Like, you know, she was doing skin to skin with both of them fairly right after. And I forgot which one.
Starting point is 00:15:18 But like, she only, like, I think it was dove only opened one eye. And I was like, is something wrong with her eye? Now he's like, they're just born. Just give them a second. They're calibrating. Yeah, they're calibrated. Their experience error for the first time. But I couldn't imagine not having a doctor with like that type of bedside manner to really like make sure, like just to let you know and to know when parents need that kind of.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Yeah. That moment of like that reassurance. Everything is okay. It really, really goes a long way. So shout out to Dr. LeBrand. And shout out to obese because I feel like that kind of bedside manner. It's like it's such a vulnerable moment for everyone. and I think with doctors,
Starting point is 00:15:56 like I have so many people, like medical people in my family that it's like, it's funny to hear them talk about it as someone who's so outside of it that it's like they can get so analytical in their head because they're doing it all the time
Starting point is 00:16:08 and like to be, and it's something like to shout out of my sister. Like she, like there is like such a specific like humanity in it to make sure of being like, oh yeah, I need to get out of this and like obviously I'm doing my job and I'm in autopilot,
Starting point is 00:16:21 but like need to make sure the parents know that like everything is I mean, there's a lot of doctors who don't do that. Who don't do that. You don't have that in them. It's just very like, it's very scientific. It's very just like, I'm going to give you the facts. And it's just like, you want that, you want that reassurance. You want to have a doctor that you can ask, like, what would you do?
Starting point is 00:16:39 Yeah. Yeah. You know, I want your personal and professional opinion. This is nice to hear both. Some doctors won't give you that. Yeah. Shout out to all the cool doctors out there. But no, it's been a while ride.
Starting point is 00:16:52 And it's, um. Well, congrats. Yeah. Yeah, I just, I hope for all the people, if you are expecting, if you're thinking about having kids, just embrace it. Because if it's something you're thinking about, if it's something you are about to experience, like, all good things ahead. Obviously, it's hard. You know, there's a lot of challenges, but the challenges are fun. And, like, again, it really brings, I think, couples together in the best possible way.
Starting point is 00:17:18 You never, you never feel more like a team than in that moment when you're, like, raising your newborn, babies and like just like like everything is this a challenge and an opportunity to like come together and and I think for the dads out there because moms are always just you know they're going through so much right now like and there's so much dads can't do but if you just like making sure that there's peace everything is fine everything will be okay we'll figure it out you're like I've I've never been I'm an amazing cheerleader right now and that's on choosing good partners you know period I have so many questions, but we can save them for Natalie. Well, we have a great episode for you.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Very love Island Coded this episode is, Yoda. My brain probably isn't working. That was a dad joke. I think you're locking it. Yeah. I'm locked in. It's happening. Well, you know, kind of reminded me, we've been watching Mary Poppins with River lately. Do you like Mary Poppins? It's been a long time.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Spoonful of sugar. Spoonful of sugar. I was in the pit. I almost brought up a spoonful of sugar when I was talking to you guys, my team. Give me a little pep talk. But that's really what it is. Also, Mary Poppins is a bit of a gaslighter. I did realize that. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:30 But so are parents. Yeah. But Mary Poppins, have you watched it lately? No. I mean, the concept of it. It's an incredible movie. Flute solo in the Pit Orchestra. When I was a senior in high school on Feed the Birds in the Mary Poppins musical.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Okay. So you're saying she's a gaslighter because she lied to the kids about her magic or the parents. She didn't even tell the parents she does magic. Homegirl flew from the sky. A little deceitful. But for the kids, Burke's like, hey, Mary Poppins, like you scored with this nanny.
Starting point is 00:19:04 She does magic. And Mary Poppinsonson's like, what are you talking about? I do nothing of the sort of her. Yeah, it's going to really confuse him in the future. Magic happens. Then after the day of magic, the kids are just obviously excited about the day of magic.
Starting point is 00:19:17 And they're like, that was so much fun. Mary, you did so much magic. She's like, guys, I'd have no idea what you're talking about. That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard you say, go to bed. I won't even acknowledge this absurdity. Prepping them for the real world is, I would say. Yeah, I respect it. That being said, spoonful of sugar, great song.
Starting point is 00:19:37 River loves it. So he's singing it right now. But it's true. And that really is like the theme of like having a newborn baby. It's just like if you just have the right attitude, if you go into it with excitement, like any any challenge can be fun and it can be an opportunity. It can be like,
Starting point is 00:19:55 it's just a great moment for couples to connect and bond and feel like together in a way that like most things just don't give you that type of opportunity to like, you know, it's like, we made this, you know, together. We're raising our children together. Love being a girl dad. Super excited about the opportunity in front of me.
Starting point is 00:20:12 I do feel like being a girl dad is like for men, I realize, I think not easier. But again, like, My job is just to make them feel valued and believe in themselves and as a father. There's just like this natural type of love you have just to make sure they're okay in a way that like if I ever have a son, I feel like I will project a little bit. I will have this like this subconscious pressure to, you know, instill things into him. And as a father to daughters, it's just my, I just got to make sure that you believing yourself and that you have a sense of purpose, and value and that you can do anything
Starting point is 00:20:51 which I would also teach my son but I feel like I would go a couple steps further don't they always say like girls for dads are like their karma so like this is your karma but at the same time it's like your opportunity to like do good I don't like that I don't like that phrase
Starting point is 00:21:05 I don't think karma I don't think karma is necessary oh you must have fucked over a lot of women in your life and blah now you have daughters no I don't think yeah let me clarify karma is also not a negative thing like karma can't be good but like I'm just saying like that's what they say is like that's your carcule karma because, like, you haven't lived the female experience and you may have done positive or
Starting point is 00:21:24 negative things to women, like, this is your opportunity to, like, give them a good experience. You know what I mean? Like, that's... And I'm up for it. I'm excited. I'm really, I feel fully prepared to be a father of women. Plus, my dad's family, he has four older sisters. And then his parents kind of, like, took a little bit, or no, my dad has four older sisters.
Starting point is 00:21:46 And then it's him and his younger brother. So then they had the boys at the end. So things happen. There are a lot of women in the house right now. I am alone. Yeah. But I will say, babies are this early. They're kind of easy.
Starting point is 00:22:02 You just swat. Also, I'm an amazing swaddler. Love a swaddle. You don't mind poop either. I mean, baby poop? Yeah. No. Do you know what baby poop looks like when they first came out?
Starting point is 00:22:12 Different color. Yeah. Yeah. It's like black tards. Wild. And River is really, she's really embraced being a big sister in the cute as possible way. Yeah, how's she doing? She's doing great.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Like you can definitely notice. Yeah. Like she, it's like, I would say 90% good, not necessarily 10% bad, but 10% you can feel like her a little bit of like. Growing pains. Growing pains. Like attachment to Nali and I. But another, it's just, I feel like I am bonding with River in ways. is that like, not that I didn't bond with her before,
Starting point is 00:22:48 but now I'm really bonding with her. Yeah. Like, now we're really making, you know, she's getting, like last night, Natalie and I put her to bed together. You know, now she's as mom and dad together. So, like, we're really making sure she feels, like, still seen and feels important.
Starting point is 00:23:03 But also, like, as a big sister, I was thinking about that, she will always probably have that in the way the twins. That will be the challenge, too. Like, how do you give the twins, like, make them feel like individuals? You know. it will probably feel unnatural for like Natalie and I when they get older to just like take have a moment with Iris or have a moment in a dove where we won't want to feel like we're leaving the other one out that will definitely be a challenge because you want them to both be individuals and have like we've had so much one-on-one time with River some of it we won't be able to replicate with the twins but I think it's really important for us to try to replicate that as much as we can because I don't want them to like miss out on
Starting point is 00:23:45 what River got, you know, when it was just her. I feel like you'll be able to, because you already said they're already so different of like just, even with them just being born. It's so trippy about different they are. Yeah, I think that'll naturally happen because it'll be two different people. I'm really excited. I think they're going to both have dark hair. Dove for sure. Dove for sure. Do they have hair right now? Yeah. Cute. So he has a lot. Yeah. And I think, I think they're both going to have blue eyes.
Starting point is 00:24:11 They have blue eyes right now. Well, their eyes are kind of grayish blue, and they can definitely change. When they're younger, right? Yeah, it can, like, it could go any direction, but they are the same shade as rivers were. Some nurses, I don't know if this is true, because everyone's is kind of sanged at the hospital. It's certainly not, like, always medical. Yeah. But if they, one of the nurses, like, usually you know when they're brown, they're brown.
Starting point is 00:24:34 And if there are something else, it's like a gray. Yeah. Or anything like a hazel is, right? Maybe that's closer we get to it. But, like, now his eyes are hazel. Like brown hair, blueish hazel eyes. Beautiful. They're going to be pretty.
Starting point is 00:24:49 So super exciting stuff. What are your eyes? Brown? But your moms are blue, right? Mom are blue. Now these moms are blue. Yeah. So the recessive got River.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Yeah. Yeah. Apparently we have a, yeah, according, I asked, asked chat. Oh. Because now he was like. You have a what? What's the percentage that you're saying? Well, because right before they were born,
Starting point is 00:25:09 now I was like, I think it's going to be like, they're definitely going to have brown eyes. Nalia thought for some reason that like, you know, I think it was just more like giving River her flowers and like how special River was. And Natalie went right before the twins were born was kind of in her feelings about like losing that connection with River. And she was like, I think it's like the chances are very slim that either of them have blue eyes. So I asked chat. Well, it's a 25% right? It was like, they're like, oh, you're almost certainly going to have one with blue eyes. The chances of one of them having blue eyes was 75%. The chance of, of something like that.
Starting point is 00:25:44 It was like either it was 75, 15, 25 of the comp. Got one of the numbers, right? So, we'll see. Oh, another thing. I was, we were so close
Starting point is 00:25:54 to them having two different birthdays. In two different months too. Wait, that actually would have been really cool. I was like, that would have been kind of cool. Yeah. You know? Wait, what birthday? Well, they were born June 30th.
Starting point is 00:26:07 It was late at night. And it was like 11.15 and, but like once once they're ready, they're ready. Dang, that would have been sick, though. So were you guys, like, we got to rush this, we got to rush this? Or were you like, oh, well, maybe.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Well, that's the thing. It was like around 11, 15, 11, 20. You could tell, like, things were, like, starting to escalate and it might happen sooner than later. And I was like, wait, they could have two different birthdays. And then we were kind of like, are they cool? Would that not be cool?
Starting point is 00:26:32 And then I was thinking, no, that would be amazing. Right? Just like, they get to separated. You know, they just get their own day. They would have had their own month. Yeah. They would have been twins anymore. Alas, they were born five minutes apart.
Starting point is 00:26:44 I almost missed the birth of Dove. How? Because I went over. Oh. I went over to check on Iris, thinking at a little bit of time. Gotcha. Yeah, I was like, go with her. They come quick.
Starting point is 00:26:54 They're like, neck! Yes, I had to rush over for Dove. So it was well. We do have a jam-packed episode lined up for you today. TikTok star Alexa Beckford is here to talk with us all about Love Island. She's had some really fun, great Love Island take. She's a super fan of Love Island. She's also all over your TikTok
Starting point is 00:27:14 And she's here to talk with us about Love Island. Lots to get into. We obviously We had movie night, which I missed talking about the first half of it. We didn't get to the second half talking about that. So much has happened with Love Island since I've been here and we've had
Starting point is 00:27:29 a couple dumpings. We've lost some CASA people. We lost Gall. RIP. RIP. We lost Corby and Parmita. I loved them. I loved them. I'm glad you loved them. I think they're perfect for each other.
Starting point is 00:27:44 They are perfect for each other. They're both obsessed with them. But Love Island's about love. Yeah. Well, this is not Friendship Island. This is not like, this is not high school popularity. Who's the group that I wish I could be friends with? This is about like who's the most compatible?
Starting point is 00:27:59 Like, I, the couple that, you know, might make it work. And I think they work. I think they work too. I love them. I actually think Love Island is disguised as a story about love. But it's really who are the popular kids. at high school. No, really.
Starting point is 00:28:13 That's actually my take. That's really what it is. Yeah. Anyway, we got that lined up for you. We also have the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey who are now together. And Susie told me, which I think is so cool, because Justin has compulated a list of basically what it seems like every celebrity. I saved every single paparazzi photo and video.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Was that the wedding? I saw that his big one. But I think the coolest attendee at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's wedding is none other than Bachelor alumni, Becca Tilly. who was with her wife, Haley Koko, very talented and successful musician. I imagine that's where the connection is between Taylor and Childhood stars, yeah, I would assume.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Oh, yeah. Yeah. But so cool. So cool. I mean, how cool that Vecatili got to go to arguably the most iconic American wedding of this nation's history, which celebrated 250 years of existence. Shout out America. Yeah. And Vecatili was at the wedding of weddings.
Starting point is 00:29:09 That's so fucking cool. Which, let me say, she didn't confirm. She didn't say I was at Taylor Swift's wedding, but she posted their photo and had a quote from a Taylor Swift song. Which is what a lot of people are doing. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Technically it's not confirmed, but it basically is confirmed it was a wedding. Do you think there were posting guidelines to the wedding? I kind of think there were. Well, a lot of people said you couldn't have your phone, but then again, Selena Gomez was liking things during the wedding. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Interesting. It depends how, like, famous you are. That's true. I'm close you are with Taylor. Yeah. I'm so curious if they're going to, if they are going to, post and share or if it's just going to
Starting point is 00:29:43 be a super secret forever. I have a theory. I read something. No, I think she's going to make a doc. Yeah. Disney Plus original, baby. Someone was in a cab leaving the venue and someone said wait for the movie.
Starting point is 00:29:55 So like... Exactly. A lot of the guests could be poking fun too. We don't really know. People are speculating it was her just announcing like a record label. Some people think the Madison Square Garden was like to take a subway elsewhere.
Starting point is 00:30:06 I don't know. There's a lot of theories, but I think they for sure got married, right? I think that I don't know if this was like the real. actual wedding. Didn't they put out an actual wedding announcement,
Starting point is 00:30:16 like Adam Sandler officiating? Adam Sandler officiating. I do think it is like... There's a karaoke bar. Yeah, there's a couple different. There will be a Disney Plus, the original film, which is the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Like, easy. Can we go through the guest list? Because it's crazy the amount of people and like who these names are. Because some of them are random, but I think it's very cool anyways. Bear with me, I might pronounce some of these wrong, but it's worth going through the list.
Starting point is 00:30:37 I got you. Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Banks, Ethan Hawke, Bradley Cooper, Eric Stone Street, Dakota Johnson, Jessica Chastain, Jason Siddakis, Zoe Kravitz, Emma Stone, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Alba, Sasha Baron Cohen, Joey King, Millie Bobby Brown, Adam Scott, Paul Rudd, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Bibi Divenor. Liam Fensirth, Celina Gomez, Gigi Hadee, Ashley Avignon, Karatea Levine, Sukiwaterhouse, Machine Gunn Kelly, Haley, Keiko, Ed Sharon, Fergie, Benson Boone, Ellie Golding, Jennifer Lopez, Camilla Cabo, Ice Spice, Kelsey Ballerini, Miranda.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Lambert, Brad Paisley, Camerily, William Paisley, Little Big Town, Gracie Abrams, Nikki Glacier, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McCray, and then there's also a lot of different people that are in the sports world, so you might recognize these names, but Matthew Stafford, Baker Mayfield, Kareem Hunt, Tom Brady, Rob Grancowski, Mike Rable, Ravel, Carissa Thomas and Joe Buck, Vanessa, Natalie Bryant, Simone Biles was there, Jonathan Owens, Patrick Patrick Mahomes, obviously, and Bernie Mahomes. And then this was a big one, too, is Carly Klaus. So, like, I don't know if you know.
Starting point is 00:31:47 They had a falling out of some kind. And allegedly, they might have also been in a relationship and Wonderland was written about Carly Klaus. No, no, no, no, no. Wonderland was allegedly written by Diana. Anyways, Carly Klaus, people were like, technically she was just spotted in New York, but that's what all these other celebrities, like, there's a lot of names that I didn't name, but people just spotted in New York.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Lena Dunham. Lena Dumm was one, but it's like her being there is wild. Wild. There's, I mean, so many of them. Well, also, with a thousand person guest list, like, I don't know. There's, I feel like you're, you're going to feel bad if you, if you weren't on it. I want to know how, like, the seating arrangements work at MSG. Like, are, are their best friends getting, like, the 50 yard line? Or, you know, like, where's Carly Clause? Is she in the nosebleeds? Right. That's my question. It's a shade. Yeah, exactly. It's, like, throwing shade. Yeah. Is there a seated day? Is there? Is there a seated, dinner. Like, are, were they, were their scalpers? You know what I mean? Like, that's what I want to know. At the wedding. Do you think they danced to a Taylor Swift song for their first dance? No. Yeah, do you think she played her on music? Yes. Oh, she definitely performed something, right? No, she didn't
Starting point is 00:32:55 perform. She's not working. You don't think she performed something at her wedding. That she wrote specific before this. She was, they were kind of working because I think they, my theory is that they had their own private wedding ceremony and this is the one they're shooting for Disney Plus. I can. could see that. I could see them having been married. No, this isn't a comedy special. All these celebrities aren't coming for a Disney Plus special. My thing is that, like, she doesn't, they don't need the money of whatever this could be.
Starting point is 00:33:19 They don't need a special. So I'm like, only if they would want it to be a special, would it be a special? You know what I mean? I think, well, Taylor is like what she's good at many things, but one thing she's really good at is connecting to her fans and, you know, giving back to the people who have supported
Starting point is 00:33:35 her. So obviously America has followed this relationship with great enthusiasm and interest. And I think she obviously wants to, you know, share this story with as many people as possible, the wedding being step one of like having so many people at the wedding. And she also, it sounds like she invited a lot of people that there wasn't like this deep friendship of maybe they've like crossed past and they had an impact. But it would make a lot of sense that they put some kind of like doc or special that, you know, fans can watch. Well, because it's the fairy tale wedding. Yeah. And I think that's what she's, I think one thing about Taylor Swift is like she's one of the best like saleswomen. You know what I mean of like that, that dream for those girls? Like that's what she's giving her audience is that experience of having that. I would love my daughters to be able to take like a Taylor Swift business masterclass. Right. She's got, they got to talk to tree change. She's got like seven, six, nine albums, how many albums? Yeah. That's her business master class right there. No, but how does, you know, how does she make decisions? How does she like? You know,
Starting point is 00:34:38 Have you ever seen Miss Americana in that documentary? She has a documentary on Netflix. So basically it's pretty interesting. You can go and kind of see her world in that way. But even her ending up with Travis Kelsey, like beyond it being her being like an amazing business woman, ending up with Travis Kelsey who we don't know him, but seemingly is such an amazing person talking about choosing good partners earlier.
Starting point is 00:35:03 It's like I mean, she's a couple years older than me. And I think she probably struggled for a long time with like, the F am I going to marry? Like who is going to marry Taylor Swift? Like you have to be a very special person but also like it gets lonely. Not like who would marry but like who can match her. Who could she pot like who would be in her
Starting point is 00:35:20 caliber? Who is worthy? Who's worthy? Exactly. Who's not going to be intimidated by how successful she is. He's from a totally different world. It's totally different. So I think for women to see her like yeah, get this fairytale ending like it is it is hopeful like as cheesy as it is as a 32 year old girl. I'm like no it's like really nice to see her like hold out and wait for like the right
Starting point is 00:35:38 person. And I mean, from what we see, he's amazing. And I'm just so happy for her. Well, shout out to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey. Congratulations to them. And all the fans who have who also are celebrating this wedding. So I was really, it would have been kind of cool if my daughters had the same birthday as the wedding date. But alas, they were close. They were close. Ballpark. Good enough. Yeah. Well, you know, I love talking about Helix mattress because it's the greatest mattress of all time. And thank God we have a Helix mattress right now. I'm not shocked. I've seen a lot of people talking and a lot of people share the same perspective as you. It's not going to go anywhere. The way it would, you know, if it was a different situation. I was floored by Peter's comment to one of our posts. And I don't think people, like, so he was, you know, he did the thing where he was like, you know, which I don't think he had to say about like, I'm in charge of, you know, my choices and he tried to take ownership. But he told
Starting point is 00:38:48 a bit of a story in the comments. I don't know if people fully realize. He was like speaking to Julie. He was described at the end of the season. Apparently like, you know, a conversation that had with Julia, his lead producer, who told him that America will hate you if you pick Hannah-Anne. And that is one of the most, like, not to sound hyperbolic, horrific things you could tell someone. Like in that environment, that's like a death threat. Like the thing that you're most worried about is like, you know, every lead wants to be well-received. They want to be liked. They are cognizant of the fact that like America is going to judge their choices. And when your lead producer is making that, that's a threat. That's a threat that. That's a threat that
Starting point is 00:39:28 like this is what's going to happen to you if you don't listen to me. And not to mention like that lead producer isn't even a position to say that because they're not in charge of the edit. Like first of all, they don't know how it's going to play out. They don't know what the audience is going to react with. Also, usually they protect the leads, right? So like on my season, they knew I was going to, at this point, going to pick Vanessa, right?
Starting point is 00:39:47 They pretty much knew that they were going to ask Rachel Lindsay to be their lead, whether they didn't know if they were necessary, she was necessarily going to accept. And they both got protected. There was Rachel and Vanessa like got into it. it like nothing that big of a deal they just like they had like a they had a an argument that you know in reality tv is like gold you would you would think you would want to air that argument because it's drama well you no one ever saw that because they were going to protect the person i picked they were going to protect the person they wanted to be the lead so and that's what usually happens is the
Starting point is 00:40:18 the person who the lead picks is protected they want people to like that couple they they want people to for the most part to root for that couple so for julie to say that was a lot and she wasn't even positioned to know that. And when you think about the way that season unfolded, you know, if you're Peter, even after that season ends, you don't listen to her, you pick and you get engaged.
Starting point is 00:40:40 But like as you decompress from that season, it's going to be in your head. Because they wrap filming in November. You have about like a six weeks between, of just like downtime. And you're going to be thinking about everything that happened that season. You're going to be in your head about like,
Starting point is 00:40:55 well, maybe they won't like me. Did that cause Peter? to have his feelings still like, was he still exploring his feelings when he was still having feelings for Maddie when he was still like having maybe feelings for Kelly? Was that part of the equation where that thing that Julie said to Peter
Starting point is 00:41:09 at the very end of the season of that America's gonna hit you, did that lead to the drama that unfolded after the final rose? Like, hard to say that it didn't, you know? And it seemed like that really affected Peter. And I just like, it can't believe she, you know, is out there. The only reason she has this book
Starting point is 00:41:27 is because she's selling Peter. name. That's the only reason, everything about the press tour, I don't know how much about Peter is in that book, but that's the only thing that she's talking on this press tour. And I know all the, some of the critics are like, well, why are you talking about this book? You're only promoting the book. Unfortunately, sometimes you have two bad choices. You're like speaking up for something that you believe is like wrong. And drawing attention to it. Unfortunately. And drawing attention to something you don't want to. Like I said, I got Peter's permission. But like, I don't know. Like, yes, for all the people who are like, oh, it sounds like Nick's really, I was activated. It is something that, like,
Starting point is 00:42:01 it definitely hit home for me. And I just feel for Peter, but I'm glad at least created some conversations. I don't think it's going to change the outcome all that much. Like, watching people on TV, we dehumanize them. And I think we think, he, he, ha ha, like, oh, a producer slept with a contestant or whatever. And, like, it might sound like fan fiction. It might sound like a silly, goofy thing. But I do hope the conversation gives some context to anybody that maybe would have bought it. And, Even myself, I had heard some rumblings about it, and I, like, didn't really think that much about it. It was like, it's kind of fucked up. But like, but when you really get into the nuance of it, I do hope people that were maybe planning to buy it.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Just like, do the right thing. Yeah, do the right thing. Don't, don't read it. Don't buy it. It also really made me think a lot more about the relationships, us cast members have with producers and like the real definition of trauma bonding. Because, again, some of them, I have some, one of the producers stood up in my wedding. He's one of my best friends. But there is a trauma bond that we have.
Starting point is 00:43:01 And that's real trauma bonding, right? When you actually bond with the person who created trauma in your life. And that's how, like, when you leave, you want to be friends with these people because there's an element of if I'm friends with them, they can protect me. They can, like, I can have, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:13 insider access to, like, you know, these producers who have all this power over us. And there is an element to that of why so many of us are drawn to want to make sure we have relationships with these producers. A lot of it is just disindexendiping. ingenuous and it's not like a real friendship. Some of us are lucky enough to make friends with these people. But again, there's that lasting, like, there is a trauma bond with us cast people
Starting point is 00:43:36 and these producers because of how that relationship started, that they created so much drama and trauma in our life. Many of them ultimately made sure we are okay. And that's where that bond comes from. So that's why I give so much grace to my peers who maybe have even still have a hard time connecting the dots that I'm connecting. But I think there's, there's an element of just kind of protecting themselves in these very like weird times that these cast members have. But I don't know. I just think it's so fucked up.
Starting point is 00:44:06 And I also think Chris Harrison sucks. I just have, I just, I can't wrap my brain on how he is so involved in this writing of this book and why he's so involved in promoting this book. And he definitely should know better. And he has, he has every reason to know. why this is wrong and why Peter's being taken advantage of in a way that like someone who was like the face of the show should not why why is he bothering it's this gross I just think there's there's no excuse for him being involved in this book whatsoever and I just I've whatever respect I
Starting point is 00:44:42 had from the fact that he's involved in this book I've lost it completely you know what I think's going to happen is Peter's going to be like a chapter or two of her book like not even a main part which to me is almost grosser because it's like you are now like exploiting that as clickbait for your book. 100%. That's all it is. I guarantee you, like it's, I guarantee you it's maybe a chapter. Yeah. Maybe. But the whole, that's what I'm saying. The only reason she got this opportunity is because of, is of Peter. It's just, it's a, I think the part of it that like sits so uncomfortably for me is just, you know, hearing you guys talk about your experience on The Bachelor and stuff, it's like, I think people in reality TV have so much experience with like, other people telling your story in a way,
Starting point is 00:45:27 which obviously you sign up for it when you go on new shows, like blah blah with the edit. But for the book to come out and for him still, for her to like also understand from the inside what happens and how these edits work to still decide to tell his story from her perspective seems a bit, I don't know. It's just it's fucked up. It's gross.
Starting point is 00:45:50 And question for you guys of like, I see reality TV and see kind of like reality TV stars get lost in the sauce a bit, but producers, you're in it just as much. So I wonder, well, you shouldn't be. You shouldn't be.
Starting point is 00:46:04 No. They shouldn't be getting, they should know their responsibility. They should recognize the reason they have access to these people is because they get hired to be. It's their job. Obviously they should. But I mean,
Starting point is 00:46:13 in the thing of like, the reality is like, this girl seemingly got lost in the sauce of being a producer. And it's just like in what, how do you make sure that like, You're hiring the right producers that aren't going to do that, you know? Hard to do, but yeah. I do think it's hard to do.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I do remember one time talking to a producer post-batchelor experience, and they don't work at the show anymore, but they were saying something. And I thought it was pretty dark. They were talking about a particular person and something that they went through and how they were kind of exploiting a storyline for the show. And I was like, do you ever, like, feel kind of weird or bad about that? And she was like, she's going to get so many followers. She's going to make a million dollars the day she comes off the show. I really can't feel bad about it. There's a part that's true because like I talked about, that's how they get through doing that shit.
Starting point is 00:47:05 But it's not like that anymore. Like, like... It is a little bit. For some people, it wasn't like that for me. Like, I didn't come off the show and make a million dollars. I didn't come off the show and have a million followers. And people who were villains, like quote unquote villains, five, six years ago, maybe even maybe a little more than that like they came off the show as villains and made a shitload of money people now like nobody from my season that was like quote unquote a villain and I say quote unquote because I think they're just humans that were funny as fuck actually but like they didn't pop off like and these people went on on TV and producers like kind of lured them into situations probably thinking they're going to be fine they're going to make a million dollars they're going to blah like none of the people from my season or a couple seasons after like that were in those positions.
Starting point is 00:47:51 I mean, that's popped off. That's true. Who made money, the producers at the... I guess that's my point, though, is even then, and, you know, we got to get into the Love Island, but, like, even then, that is, like, we could debate that and discuss that, and there's so much nuance and, like... For sure. It's not a black and white answer, which makes what she's doing even so wrong because, like,
Starting point is 00:48:13 she is, she was making choices for her own personal benefit, not even for her job. She wasn't doing it for the show. She was doing it for her own personal life and then monetizing that. If you thought, oh, maybe she just got caught up in that moment. Years have gone by and the fact that this book is coming out just shows that there's nothing sincere or genuine about what she is doing, especially when you take an account that he asked her not to do it. At no point should this have happened. Totally.
Starting point is 00:48:43 But I think they justify it. Yeah. All right. Well, it's time to get into some Love Island. and we got the perfect person here to help us guide us through this conversation. Alexa Beckford is here. She is a Love Island OG fan. She's watching UK.
Starting point is 00:48:55 She's watching USA. And she's got some great takes. And she joins us next. Starting point is 00:52:02 Alexa, welcome the show. Thank you for having me. Super excited to have you. I'm super excited to get into all things Love Island. Have you always been a big Love Island fan? When did your Love Island journey start for you? What season? I'm actually a UK OG girl.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Oh my God. So you know. So you're the real. Yeah. You're like a real. I'm a little, I'm kind of a fake. Me too.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Yeah. I'm in my, you know. I've been three years strong. Okay. U.S. I watched one UK season. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:31 It's gotten more boring. The UK. Because, is it because U.S. is so crazy. It's like jumping. Yeah. What's the biggest difference? Are you watching both right now?
Starting point is 00:52:39 Yeah. I tried last year, but it like fell off. It got boring. So. U.S. UK.K. What's the biggest difference between the two? Right now, it's really a lack of, like, things going on. In the UK, they're kind of just hanging around the villa doing nothing, just talking. Whereas U.S. there's like a challenge every other day. There's bombshells, drama where UK is kind of just chilling. I'm like, where's the fun? As an O.G. Love Island fan, what are you, are you looking more for, like, those fun challengers versus them just hanging out in the villa?
Starting point is 00:53:08 I'm looking for love. Like, Brinity has my heart. Okay. And the drama's good. But I feel like when it's just drama, like last season, a hot. mess. I was thinking over the weekend, I feel confident in saying season eight, way better than season seven. Oh, yeah. But honestly, it might be tipping season six's crown a little bit. You think so. I do. Did you think it started out strong or do you think we're getting a redemption? I think we're getting redemption. I feel like it was a little bit, everyone's like scarred from last season. Like, do I even watch this season? It was season seven seven was entertaining and we were all locked in. It was highly watched and we were certainly like engaged. But yeah. was it just felt like, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:53:47 a little more, little too produced, a little less love at this stage of last season. We didn't like, you know, we had Nick and Alandria, but a lot of people were, you know, you had your like people who sip them and were like all locked in and then you had a bunch of people be like, where did this come from?
Starting point is 00:54:03 And like if it's real, then we hated how like production, obviously they're still together. The answers, questions have been asked. I really just, it feels like what I love about this season is they're getting in, they're getting into so many like relationship topics, right? There's so many like great conversations
Starting point is 00:54:19 with this cast of friendship dynamics, relationship dynamics, and you're like, you're seeing a lot of back and forth and a lot of things that we just didn't get that last season. There wasn't even friendship last year, let alone love.
Starting point is 00:54:32 I love seeing, honestly the girls this year, the core four they call them. Like I'm loving watching that friendship. I feel like that's a big part of the show that we were missing last year. Yeah. Almost more than the relationship sometimes.
Starting point is 00:54:41 It was like the Huda and A show. It was like it felt like it was like the Huda show and what was Huda doing or not doing. And like she was such a big personality that like she just kind of sucked the energy out of the room. And then you, I think A's probably got a bad beat and probably he wasn't as manipulative as like fans suggested. But just the way he seemed to be so like in tuned with production. It just was a bit of a distraction. I just don't feel that really with anyone. It really feels like they casted.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Normal people to be honest. Yeah, normal in a positive way that didn't feel like they came in with like, here's how I become the biggest influencer of Love Island. Exactly. Even like in the UK. There's like an innocence with them. There's some drama in the UK of one of the girls saying
Starting point is 00:55:25 to the guys that she wants this following after the show. And I feel like I'm not getting that in the US. No, literally. It's like Loki. Yeah. Well, we had movie night at the end of movie night, which I, listen, I loved movie night. I love how they really went for it.
Starting point is 00:55:41 I feel like we didn't. Well, we didn't get it last season. And then what I remember of season six is like the, and that was my first movie night ever of watching it. And I was like, man, there's so much more you could have showed. Yeah. And they didn't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:53 And here, they were just like, we're just going to, just roll the tape. The entire tape. I love that. Because usually it's like little things that they get off the hook with, but they said, this is the or Rico we're building. Yeah. Yeah. I'm curious what, like when you're watching it.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Yeah. Are you just kind of locked in? I mean, many of us are, it's like, show the sincere moment. Show this. Yeah. But are, is there. any part of you that's like wondering how you would how movie night would be for you yeah honestly because i was like if i were melanie would i want to watch this with everyone with me or like would
Starting point is 00:56:22 i rather hear from a friend so that part is hard but like i would want to know before i'm off the show though so i can like redeem myself but she's not moving on what about like did you do you have any like thoughts of like how you would come across at movie night oh definitely because that's what I find the most of my favorite movie night was Casey I think yeah because it just remind you know I don't know how you think of it Susie but like I think the world would benefit from everyone having their own movie night oh yeah 100 because we do not like here's the thing about like reality TV and we talk about
Starting point is 00:56:58 this on the show all the time like two things can be true at the same time if you've listened to the show you know that I I'm not big on like hyperbolic statements I don't like I don't think you can judge person's character by what you see on TV. Point blank. I just think it's too easy to the power of the edit. You lose so much context. I don't think you can judge a person's character out of a snapshot moment of an intent,
Starting point is 00:57:22 you know, being in an intense environment because we as humans, we all react. We all have buttons that can be pushed. We all have good and bad moments. We all make mistakes. And far too often, obviously when we were watching these shows, we only see these moments. and then we react and then we judge these people based off these moments, which I don't think is fair to reality TV stars. On the flip side, I do think when you're watching it,
Starting point is 00:57:47 you are seeing actual footage of how these people move at times. I do think you can take moments at face value. You know, as someone, you know, who's often like, you know, about my time on the show, I've been like, you know, I didn't like my edit the first season. That's not who I am. I don't think, you know, what people thought of me was an accurate profile of me, but I definitely, like, I felt like they just chose more of my bad moments
Starting point is 00:58:16 than my good moments because the moments you saw of me, it was like, I couldn't say, yeah, that's not me. It's like, you know what I'm saying? So when you're watching KC, what I really appreciated is, is he had the opportunity. Because in life, have you guys ever had a friend, just in real life? Have you ever had a friend who have ever been like, listen, like. like you just were kind of a bitch for like a long period of time six months ago like or like you just I don't know there was that time where like you just honestly you only talked about
Starting point is 00:58:47 yourself usually those moments happen like when you're going through like a bad breakup or something when you're heartbreaking you're going through something you're going through something and you and your feelings feel obviously incredibly valid and you want your support from your friends and things like that but that sometimes can quickly turn into you you being the center of you you're the center of attention you feel like everyone needs to make sure you're okay and talk to you and like check in on you when you're like start going out again you're only you're only thinking about you know who are my dating options you're kind of a buzzkill you know you know what I'm saying you've you've had the we've we've we've
Starting point is 00:59:20 all had those moments but not all of us have those types of friends who can keep it real yeah and very few of us have the opportunity to actually see what people are talking about yeah and to me that's what's so great about movie night and when you're watching kC he was embarrassed of himself you know what I'm saying like we don't remember everything we say and how we say it and how it comes across. Like we often will say things with the intention of it landing one way. It lands very differently. And we don't really get to see that. But like movie night is an opportunity for all these cast members to see that. And I, I thought it made Casey look honestly great. And great in the sense it made him look more human.
Starting point is 00:59:58 And it showed a guy who was like embarrassed of his actions. And then I love the whole Anaya and Casey moment afterwards where they're both like, yo, like I'm sorry. You know, and I thought that was, I love that part. When he kind of owned up to being like, yeah, I'd built up resentment towards you. Like, I don't think any, I don't think anything excuses Casey's accent like the way he spoke of Anaya because I just, it's pretty easy not to speak of like a woman that way, in my opinion. But I think in the vein of humanity, him being like, yeah, he was able to recognize that like I had built up resentment towards you. And like that's why I did what I did. So like even though that is kind of a bit bare minimum, it still was something.
Starting point is 01:00:46 It's kind of how I feel about Casey in this moment. I feel like unfortunately we say all the time, oh, it's like bare minimum, bare minimum. But like the bare minimum isn't happening a lot. Like it's so common for people to be below the bare minimum, even though like as good people with morals or whatever. Like yeah, it would just make sense to get up and apologize. But I was not like I was a Casey Hater for sure. sure, but honestly, I hate that I'm, like, loving him and T.T. Because I'm like...
Starting point is 01:01:11 They're really... They're really... They're impotable. No, I know. But I was, like, resisting it. I was like, no, nope, we got to get him out because of what he did to Anaya. But now I'm like, you know what? That is one thing about this season is that there's so much growth for everybody that I'm like,
Starting point is 01:01:24 okay, like, we're actually getting some examples of good people that can, like, own their shit. For all the people who wanted Melanie out early on. Yeah. That's been my girl day one. I've been in early Melanie's dream. Because she was the first one, speaking of growth, like she showed that growth in like two episodes.
Starting point is 01:01:42 She went from like losing her mind to like checking sincere to, you know, like, and now acknowledging that like she has feelings for a person that are really strong. But at the same time, he's, he's giving her red flags. And that was like she's so relatable on the show. I feel like you have thoughts on Melanie, though. What is your take? I didn't like her with the whole be a thing. but since then I love her now.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Okay, yeah. But I didn't like how that whole thing was handled. To me, like, if you're talking about how you judge people's character, it's how do they respond to adversity? What do they do when people aren't looking? What do they do when they're stuck in a corner? Like, we all react. We all like get pushed. Our buttons are pushed.
Starting point is 01:02:24 We all have those bad moments. But to your point, many of us like don't seize the opportunity to say, I'm sorry or like look in the mirror and be like, yeah, man, that was kind of really dushy. You know, like a lot of people will want to double down. But, but I, you know, like, I think Kenzie is doing a little bit of this, right? She's. Kenzie or girl. Sweetheart. She seems lovely, but like she's definitely.
Starting point is 01:02:47 Right. She's definitely, when, when she's stuck in it, her first thought is to explain herself. Yeah. Rather than just sitting it and go, I could have done better. Yeah. You know, like. Do you, do you guys think love? Love Island kind of shows what happens when people think that they're completely the victim in a relationship when in reality they're not.
Starting point is 01:03:13 And I think Kenzie makes me think of that. So many people think through the victim always, including myself. Every time anything happens, you think you're the victim because you're you. And it takes a little reflection. I went from never hearing the word narcissist to like 80% of the people I know who have a breakup, turns out they've been dating a narcissist. You know? 1,000% According to them.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Yeah, I think Kenzie is a good example of that though where I'm rooting for her. She's making it tough. So one thing I will say and that's the safest barometer judge people on Love Island
Starting point is 01:03:47 because again, context, you know, what they say, it's hard to really judge it because is that how they said it? Is that how they meant it? Is that the context of which was delivered? You know, things like that.
Starting point is 01:03:57 It's very tricky to judge person's character on so much about what they do on these shows, except do they tell the truth? Because that's the one thing you can control in this environment is you cannot lie. Sincere.
Starting point is 01:04:10 It's sincere. But I will say for all of Kenzie's faults, she tells the truth. You know, it might be like a little... It might be a little coded in her perspective, but she's been up front. Yeah. She's not... Well, although I am curious about the conversation with Gaul and her. And I wonder if that's a bit of editing.
Starting point is 01:04:27 Because, like, when we watch that, it was like, she's trying to fuck them. She was like, oh, there's some... There were some petting. I'm like, I... No, say, his hand was around your thigh. Yes.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Well, no, it was her. She was the one like, oh, yeah, and she was like,
Starting point is 01:04:40 there was some, like, there was some of this. It's like, yeah. She didn't say it was like, I was, I was doing it.
Starting point is 01:04:44 I was pulling him in. Yeah. But the conversation we saw, it left with them like, oh, you're gonna fuck tomorrow. Yeah. Like,
Starting point is 01:04:52 and then she left that conversation and went over to Dylan was like, hey, that conversation helped me realize that I have feelings for you. Something's not adding up. Like,
Starting point is 01:05:00 and I don't think it would, I don't think it's Kenzie completely lying. I wonder if we saw part of that conversation, but not all of it. But that is something I would be curious to find out when they leave the villa. Yeah. Do we think any of these people would actually own up
Starting point is 01:05:17 and apologize if they hadn't seen movie night? Ooh. Probably not, but not because, again, that's what's so cool about movie night. I don't think up into this point, we saw Casey be able to explain his point of view. Yeah. You know, he was centering himself.
Starting point is 01:05:34 He, he, he had, he knew why he did what he said, but he, what he didn't have is the mirror, but how it looked, how he came across, the things that he said that kind of like just, he kind of like just said to his boys, you know, those, those moments, you know, you're seeing a lot of that with like the guys were having their, their boy talk. And it was like they weren't thinking about who's listening. Yeah. And for all the people who are like, you know you're being filmed. it's crazy how
Starting point is 01:06:01 these people they've completely forgotten they're on a TV show but at the same time to kind of push back on that a little bit Melanie's whole thing with sincere is that he embarrassed her in front of America
Starting point is 01:06:16 that's true it's not that he was not into her or like not being truthful to her about what was happening it was the fact that he did it on TV yeah I mean they're kind of what you know you know I'm saying they know They're not like that in the sauce in the sauce Yeah
Starting point is 01:06:34 But it's like they're not thinking about it Beat for beat they're not thinking about it when they're having these conversations When they're having these emotional moments They're like aware of it Yeah It's in the back of their mind But for most of the time they're not they're not like Okay I'm about to be filmed
Starting point is 01:06:53 All right what should I say that looks and sounds good They're fully in it But even sincere I will say like even though like You can't justify his lying. I do think, I'm curious what sincere will think when he gets out of the villa, outside of having to deal with the toxic fan base and the people are mean to him. I do think like this is a, these are all young people. There's an opportunity for sincere to be like, yeah, man, I, I, I, that's really dushy how I move.
Starting point is 01:07:22 And I just think he's so used to, I do think his people pleasing excuse is somewhat valid. I know it for Melanie. I love how she was like, fuck that, people pleasing bullshit. But there is an element to the reason why when someone says, I like you, and he's like, I like you back, I think he says things in the moment because he wants to like validate people's feelings. And like, is it a little bit of a weakness part of it? Sure.
Starting point is 01:07:47 But I don't think it's a bullshit excuse. I'm having a really hard time with sincere because he literally said, I'm done lying and leading people on and deceiving. Like to be able to say those words. He knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing. And I'm having a really hard time because, yes, there is an opportunity for growth. I hope he comes out and sees things.
Starting point is 01:08:04 And he's like, oh, I need to grow. But what's frustrating is the entire time he's been in the villa, he's been acknowledging. Yeah. I did lie about that. I did say that. No, I should have done a different. He keeps saying that, but he's not changing the behavior. No.
Starting point is 01:08:18 And now we don't really have bombshells coming in. We're so close to the end that I'm like, okay, yeah, you can hold out one more week while we wrap up the show. but like I just think he's a scary person today not in a dangerous way but just in a way of like emotional well-being because when people constantly are like no I'm done do it no I'm not going to do that anymore and then they keep doing it yeah it's it is literally toxic relationship and he won't even admit he's like this is not a toxic relationship I've done toxic things girl so what does that make it yeah it's a toxic relationship yeah it looks like a duck and it quacks like it's a toxic how many people do you know and Toxic relationships acknowledge their toxicity in the relationship. Usually you have to be, you have to have like been dating for five or six years and broken up a three or four times and get back together where you're like, yeah,
Starting point is 01:09:06 I know we're toxic, but I can't quit him. Exactly. And I feel like everybody enabling him isn't helping. Even the boys are like, oh, he downplayed it. That's why I love Corbin. And the girl.
Starting point is 01:09:15 Yeah. Yeah. Like why I, why are people embracing, I know RIP, they've left the island. But I. Melanie. I really like,
Starting point is 01:09:25 Because he represents this, your very typical, like, bro, right? Yeah. Like, doesn't really seem to emote all that much. He preferred him as like a robot AI. Yeah. But he seems like, again, he has his flaws. Yeah. But he is apologized when he had to apologize.
Starting point is 01:09:41 He seems to be pretty up front. Yeah. I think a high character moment for any guy, especially in today's day and age, is your willingness and ability to check your boys. Yeah. Right? I agree. That's the, because, like,
Starting point is 01:09:55 like that's a datable man yeah yeah that's a that's a man that you can date and you can know like okay like if he's out with his friends he's not going to enable some f boy behavior or like it let his friend bang another girl or whatever like he's going to check his friend and and when he left the island you you heard like I forgot who said it but it sounded like that sincere moment where he checked sincere it wasn't the first time he did that someone said he's the one who's been kind of holding us accountable wow I think it was one of the line someone said one of the youngest boys there. So he's the one who's like, you know, and he's a big guy. He obviously has a huge presence. He seems like kind of that kind of alpha, you know, type of personality. And he uses that
Starting point is 01:10:36 for good in the sense that he's not going to just roll over and just like sincere seems like the type of guy who's going to like gas up his bros and just be like, I wanted my bro to feel good. And in that moment, he's not going to be like, well, you come on. That was kind of a dushy move, bro. Like you can't treat your girl that way. And I, I love. And I love. love that Corbyn seems like the type of guy who will do that. You know, there was this, I saw this quote this weekend. It was funny because it was while I was watching LeVyland. And I'm probably like misquoting it directly.
Starting point is 01:11:04 But it was from Susan Sarandon or someone. And it was like, a good guy is someone that like acknowledges that his friend, he, not all of his friends are good guys. You know what I mean? And like you can be able to like, to be a good man is to like see when a man is not doing something good and call him out for it. Right. You know?
Starting point is 01:11:23 I think it's also, it, it speaks. to like not being, I think one of the cringiest worst things you can be is like just need this desire to be liked and accepted by people. Like I just think that sets you apart like as a leader as a person. Like if all you care about is like, oh, I want my boys to be like I want them to respect me or whatever. And it's like no, like if you respect yourself, you'll call your friends out because you don't, if you want to be friends with weird people, then you don't need those weird people. You know what I mean? Like I just think Corbin, yeah, he really stood out to me because it feels like. a lot of the guys enabled each other constantly.
Starting point is 01:11:57 And yeah, it speaks to him, his, like, character for sure. Alexa, all right. So Love Island ends. Yeah. Melanie and sincere leave the villa together. Melanie's your girl. Yeah. She's one of your best friends.
Starting point is 01:12:09 She comes to you. She's like, Alexa, I know, you know, and keep in mind, she's going to get her phone and she's going to have a zillion friend of fans being like, leave his ass. So, like, that's not helpful being like, run. What conversation would you have with Melanie? and she's like, listen, because Melanie is hyper aware. She's one of the most self-aware people on this villa.
Starting point is 01:12:31 She's also human and she will talk herself out of making good decisions like we all have. But she comes to you sincerely. And she's just like, what should I do? Like the internet's telling me that he's a piece of shit. I really like him. I've seen a lot of growth from him. She's going to do the thing where she's like, you didn't get to see everything, which is going to be true. Now, how much of that is true enough?
Starting point is 01:12:54 to make her stay with sincere, but what questions and what things would you say to Melanie, your best friend, hypothetically, when she gets out of the island? Respectfully stand up because even though he's done things that we haven't seen, he's done things that you haven't seen too that we're not even seeing.
Starting point is 01:13:13 And the fact that he's like so aware of his lies and turns around and lies again is crazy and him saying like, oh, I tell the truth, but not all the truth. So you're still lying. You're withholding the most important. part like oh yeah i talked to this girl but i kissed her like you're not you're not saying everything so i feel like she she just can't be with him like if she like respects herself fully he's a liar and you can't
Starting point is 01:13:35 like you can't be with a liar i'm with you yeah do you nick's not that i i i know i i just i'm worried yeah that melany is not she's she just likes him you know and that's what starts i will say i feel like you can't like she didn't leave if you if you're not going to leave them after movie night that's the thing but But here's my question. Is she understanding that no bombshells are going to come in anymore?
Starting point is 01:14:01 Since here's her guy. That's the thing. It's like I don't think she, like in her mind, she might not have an option. There is an element of your right. Like at this point, everyone's kind of pot committed. And she now also thinks America loves her and sincere. They don't realize.
Starting point is 01:14:14 She doesn't realize they just love her. I was like, I love her. Yeah, he needs to go. He needs to go. I said earlier, I was like, I would tell Melanie to run. You were like, no, because, you know, Which I understand. I mean, sure, I just don't think about it.
Starting point is 01:14:27 I'm with you. I'm with you. She's not going to get defensive of sincere. I've been in her position to an extent where you're like, you keep tolerating this behavior and you make excuses. But you're also sitting there saying you're making me look so stupid. And every time anybody has told me whether it was run or I'm shocked, I think it was Anaya, kind of told her give it another chance. I know.
Starting point is 01:14:51 They're all enabling them. I had a friend, I had people do that for me in a relationship too. And I was sitting there thinking, I'm like, but this person is treating me so bad. Why is my friend telling me to give it another chance? Did she actually say giving another chance? She did. She's team sincere. The part that love Anaya, because like, but that's what I love about Love Island.
Starting point is 01:15:08 So, so relatable in the conversations. Because Anaya did the thing that so many friends do with their friends, as they say, like, 99% of all the right things. And she was like, it's not you. him. Yeah. He didn't embarrass you. He embarrassed himself.
Starting point is 01:15:26 That was good. You know, your boss. You know, she said all the things. Gave her flowers. And then she snuck in, do I think sincere truly has feelings for you? I do. 100%. And I'm like, you can't say that.
Starting point is 01:15:37 Yeah. Because that's the only thing Melanie heard. Yes. That's the only thing she heard. She like completely forgot all the other stuff. And she was like, you think? You know, like, I don't know. She didn't say that because that's what we want to hear.
Starting point is 01:15:49 You know what I'm saying? Like, and that's, you can't say that as a friend. I know. You can. You can. Parmita tried to give her the tea and she said liking and having feelings for someone is still not a good enough reason to be with them if they're toxic. Do we think Parmita's being a better friend to her than Anaya right now? That is a, yeah, that is a really. I wouldn't say a better friend. I think she just has the, I don't know if Parmita and Melanie, we haven't really seen it.
Starting point is 01:16:14 Yeah. I have like a close friendship where Anaya and Melanie seemed too. Yeah. And I think that's just the trap that the friends, fall into because they're trying to strike that balance of making sure they're okay. Yeah. It's like it's easier to tell someone that you're not friends with that what's wrong versus like when you're in it with them. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:32 No, people call him to ask Nick and I like don't have a relation. I'm like, yeah, he doesn't like you. You know, like it's easy for me to be like, yeah, I don't. What are you doing? Yeah. When you're partial to it, you're like, I have no, I have no skin in the game. You see what to tell you how it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:44 I think it was a little easier from Parmeida to say that honesty because she doesn't have, not that she doesn't care about Melanie, but she didn't have the. kind of that friendship burden or whatever that you want to like you're trying to strike that balance it's tough okay Alexa I have a question for you
Starting point is 01:17:01 would you rather have your friend tell you like be overtly negative about a relationship in order to like make sure that your feelings are going to be intact and protecting your heart or would you rather have a friend who's going to like maybe just like let you go
Starting point is 01:17:17 and like fall off the cliff if you're going to fall off the cliff I want the honesty honestly because if I can't see it I need someone to tell me yeah okay yeah for sure or what if you have an Anaya type who's like gonna like maybe encourage you for the sake of like he likes you yeah I don't even think Anaya realized what she said in the no no I think she was just like even if accidentally like what kind of friend would you rather have like the tough love friend or the one that's gonna maybe give you a spoonful of sugar I think tough love for sure is like I want to be real and
Starting point is 01:17:46 I want to know what's going on by my back and I feel like Anaya almost had it and then she threw it all away with that last comment yeah oh he likes to see something like like he can't like you if he's treating you that way. All right. Melanie's still your friend. She's picked sincere. You're on Love Island. Melanie goes, you're meeting.
Starting point is 01:18:00 You're meeting sincere for the first time. Melanie is like, hey, I got to go to the bathroom. For whatever reason you don't join her in the bathroom as the ladies often do. Maybe you take this opportunity to sit and have a conversation with sincere. What do you say to sincere? Oh my God. I would have a lot to say to him. Knowing that she, at this point, Melanie is like, Alexa.
Starting point is 01:18:20 Yeah. Girl, I hear you, but like, I'm going to do this and I'm not saying I'm right and I'm just going to, as my friend, I'm going to ask you to like pick up the pieces if it all goes wrong. Yeah. But I'm doing this and I want to make this work. So know that like you, that's what she's asked. She's asked you to support this relationship for now. What do you say? Girl, I don't even know.
Starting point is 01:18:45 I feel like honestly, I'd have to like step away from her as a person respectfully. Because honestly, I've had friends where they're like very in talks to relationships. It's like, I can only tell you so much without you taking action on it. And like because I love you, I'm like, I can't keep up with this. Would you give her a little bit of a hall pass knowing that like everything you know is from TV? For sure. I would definitely hear both of them out. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:06 But the thing is, does she even have the truth? If he just lined her all the time, like does she even know what's real and what's not? Because he's done so many things that we've seen. What are the things that we haven't seen that he's done in these. in these 24-hour days we're getting an hour out of. He's so well. Slash when you get out of the villa and the amount of access he's going to have to anything he wants.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Yeah, in the real world. In the real world that I'm like, I think it's only going to get worse. But I do think like the cycle has to take its course. And like, as your friend, you can tell her, hey, like, here's what we think. And as a friend, I would be there for a little bit. But then you get to a point where you're like, okay, cool. Like you've chosen to be with him. I'm actually, like you said, I'm going to either remove myself or you can.
Starting point is 01:19:48 stop talking to me about it and you can, you know, sit in what you've created for yourself. Exactly. Because that's a, yeah, the cycle's going to take its course. And either she will, I think either she will walk away. I don't think Sincerer's going to change. No. But either that or she'll just tolerate it for a long time.
Starting point is 01:20:03 Well, I always say a sincere so West Wilson, it's just that his, it's so effortless for him to apologize. Yeah, it's scary. Yeah. I'm sorry. It's everyone's trying to lie. He lies so easily. But it's even easier for him to apologize for his lies. That's so true.
Starting point is 01:20:16 Which ironically makes it feel so insincere. Yeah. Well, it's because the lies don't mean anything to him. Exactly. Because he said it himself. He was like, I say a lot and I mean a little. And it's like, girl, you are literally almost verbatim quoting the song Psycho Killer in which David Bryn says, I'm talking a lot, but you're not saying anything. Exactly. Keep in mind when he's saying these things, he is literally talking to a producer on the other side that you don't see.
Starting point is 01:20:41 They're asking him a bunch of questions. And it's very, it's the closest thing to therapy that's not technically therapy. So they are being reflective. They do want to take kind of abilities. So what sometimes feels like, how can you be that self-aware and that cynical at the same time? There is a little bit of that.
Starting point is 01:20:58 That's why it comes across that way. That being said, it is still way too easy for him to apologize in a way that doesn't feel in any way sincere. Which is like same with West Wilson. You're like, I don't know if you're, you said them. I think, yeah, I think the problem with like your guys like sincere and West, right?
Starting point is 01:21:15 you're you're like you're talking to me right i'm someone who's like pretty hyperbolic i'll say things without thinking all the time and i'm like oh fuck way i say that and i think the difference it's like i watch someone like sincere someone like a west wilson and it's kind of like there's no it like i know when i find out that i said something and it ended up for like a people pleasing reason right and it ended up like hurting someone i'm never going to stop thinking about that for the rest of my life yeah And so when people just have the ability to like be like, yeah, I'm sorry. And then completely like just move on. That's such a weird.
Starting point is 01:21:54 Agreed. Weird thing. Yeah, it's weird behavior. Yeah, right? It's weird. Well, Melanie keeps even saying that she thinks sincere is a good person just not for her. Do we think that's possible for him to be a good person outside of her but a bad partner in the relationship? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:07 And I think in the context of relationships, I think relationships are very tricky and they're hard and they're complex. and I think being a good friend is different than being a good partner. Yeah, I feel like he's a better friend than a boyfriend. I think every great relationship has to have a little bit of us against the world mentality a little bit. Not too much. You can't do relationships by yourself.
Starting point is 01:22:27 You have to have your people. Yeah. But you do have to be with someone that each other. You know that this person has my back unconditionally. And they will fight the world if they have to for me. Yeah. So to that degree, I don't think,
Starting point is 01:22:42 I think that's often what makes, especially a lot of young men, not great partners, because I don't think they know how to, to like choose their partners in the way that they need to and make sacrifices for their partner in the way that is required in relationships, because they're constantly trying to juggle both.
Starting point is 01:23:00 And I think you can be a generally nice person, you know, show up for your people, a good contributor in society, but kind of be a shitty partner. Yeah. especially in your 20s. Can I pose a question to the room? Do you guys think that sometimes men will,
Starting point is 01:23:19 like young men specifically, like the kind we're seeing on Love Island? A lot of men don't grow up ever, but... Yeah. Are just choosing partners, is it a way that like men of not seeing women fully as people and you're choosing a partner based off of like attraction, like all of this kind of stuff of like
Starting point is 01:23:35 the way men kind of like commodify women sometimes to be their partners versus actually. thinking of like what they would want in a partner in that way and that's why it's hard for them to do that because they wouldn't even see them that way they're looking at surface level stuff rather than like yeah qualities and a relationship I mean all of us love to spark and I think yeah I mean listen like I've said this before like you know the only thing you can trust in reality TV as a contestant is your eyes you know what I'm saying you're like well I don't know who you are I don't know like how you are outside this world but I do know I find you very attractive
Starting point is 01:24:11 You know what I'm saying? And that's in a world where you don't know what to trust, that's the one thing you can trust. So physical attraction does go a long way and it doesn't necessarily make you superficial. You know what I'm saying? And I do think it's not just men who for the most part of like, it's the spark. You know, it's like what it's like, oh, he's six for four. Yeah, I think more in the terms of like what you're talking about with like the team thing of kind of the us against the world. I almost wonder if somehow like with sometimes of relationships that start out in a place like Love Island or whatever, it's like harder to have that mentality in the way that you would need it.
Starting point is 01:24:49 I don't know. Yes, I know. That's why I've been such a fan of Corbyn and surprised that like America is less of a fan of Corbyn because like you see it again, he might be a terrible partner. I don't know. You know what I'm saying? But he seems to be demonstrating qualities that you would want in a relationship, which is. in these environments, it is so high school. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:25:14 It's less, in reality, it's less about love and it's more about like how you get in with the popular group. Yeah. You know, and yet you have a Corbin who's like, I'm friends with all these people. I love them. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:25 But like at the end of the day, I'm fucked with Parmita. And like a lot of like, I don't give a fuck. He says that a lot and I think he means it. But in a good way where it's just like, he wants to be like, he wants to have friends.
Starting point is 01:25:37 friends, but he has certain things that he's just like, I'm, I'm going to, I'm going to do what I think is right in this moment and I'm going to protect my people and especially my girl in a way that if I'm, that's what I would want on a partner. Yeah, I do like Corbin. I feel like his only fault really in the show was how he handled CASA, like what the girls saw on the live screen and no disrespect what he was. But besides that, I just feel like he was a good friend. Me too.
Starting point is 01:26:01 He seemed to apologize. He apologized. Yeah. It took him a minute. How much can you apologize for? He came around. You know. It's also.
Starting point is 01:26:07 like with his stuff with Kenzie like now given what we know about the way Kenzie moves like should he have spoken about her that way? No. No. Yeah. However, I get worried. We moved on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They both seem to understand
Starting point is 01:26:23 that like they were both going to enjoy the Casa experience. Yeah. You know? It's just that Corbin did the whole thing where you trying to like sound cool to his boys. Exactly. Okay. I'm on that. edge of my seat to really get into this karaoke stuff.
Starting point is 01:26:41 I gotta be honest, it's been on my mind the whole time. I'm just so disappointed, so disappointed in Canada. I just can't believe we didn't get one ringer. Kenzie was good. Kenzie was good. Okay. If she had gone solo. If Kenzie had gone solo.
Starting point is 01:26:55 Dylan kind of ruined it. Are you from L.A.? Yeah. Okay. Have you probably done karaoke? I actually haven't. You haven't. I can't sing, so I'm too afraid.
Starting point is 01:27:04 Well, one of the most crazy experiences I, I've ever had is doing karaoke in L.A. Because, well, I can't sing. Like, every person. It's L.A. Someone here can say. And it's a city full of talented people who have not been discovered.
Starting point is 01:27:21 And I can't tell you how many times I've been to karaoke in L.A. with a group of people where I'm like, holy fucking shit. Now I want to go. Like the most amazing voices. And you're like, whole. And I'm just kind of shocked that like,
Starting point is 01:27:34 Love Island, you're a bunch of like, obviously aspiring influencers or, you know, maybe, hopefully people with talent that you don't have one person who just came out and just started fucking belting out. Like just, I was a little bummed. I thought we might get one of those.
Starting point is 01:27:49 I think he was funny how the girls were like, oh, I can sing, I'm redic parameda. And then it was just chopped. Everyone was bad. They were so bad that Kenzie looked out, sounded okay. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 01:28:00 Yeah. I got to be honest, the only couple that did not give me Matt, and I'm someone that, loves karaoke and loves to look a fool. Like, I don't mind. But the secondhand embarrassment, I was getting watching this from everyone, but Bryce and Trinity.
Starting point is 01:28:16 I love them so much. Because it's like, I think the thing was Bryce and Trinity had a goofy karaoke performance. Everyone else's felt like choreographed and contrived. And like, yeah. A little too earnest. Like a little too. Like Zach was trying. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:28:31 So hard. So hard. And obviously like the worst nightmare situation for so many people. would be having to do karaoke for America. So I'm going to give them the pass on it. But like, oh. Oh, I know. I agree with you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:44 I loved how Bryce and Finney were, like, laughing through it. Yes. And it was, like, a thing for them versus, like, putting on a show for everyone. I'm surprised they took fourth. I know. Yeah. How do we feel about? There was a lot of ties.
Starting point is 01:28:55 It was like fourth and third. Yeah. I think we're tied. Well, they got to. Or second. Or second. Maybe. You know, weren't enough of couples to have tiebreakers.
Starting point is 01:29:03 That makes sense. I liked. I know I'm probably, I'm probably alone on this. but I liked that they got Kenzie and Dylan got immunity from winning because at least it made the competition matter. Too many of these competitions, it's like, someone wins, you're like, okay,
Starting point is 01:29:18 it kind of threw me off because Ariana even said like vote off compatibility and no one thought about that. I'm like, if y'all had done that, they wouldn't have gotten first. Oh, she said vote of compatibility for the karaoke? It was like performance, but also think about compatibility too.
Starting point is 01:29:33 Interesting. Which is why I, do you, what do you guys think about Kenzie and Dylan at this point? Love Dylan. I had not to say. Yeah, I just, I think honestly, I think, I think Melanie read her perfectly. Yeah. And, and, and.
Starting point is 01:29:48 I'm your best friend. Yeah. Well, outside of that, I thought that was a really, really boss thing to say. Yeah. Melanie is so like, I love Melanie. She's just so, she's had some of the best one liners. Even she's, even when she's talking about herself, when she said, like, something about apologies being Band-Aids.
Starting point is 01:30:06 such a great line. I wish she would follow through with that a little more. But nevertheless, she's incredible. But like, it is true. The way Kenzie has been able to explain her decision making in a way that it's always valid.
Starting point is 01:30:22 And when she criticizes, say, Corbyn and other people, it comes across as a little hypocritical. Yeah, for sure. You know, the way she got so upset with Jen. Oh, my God, yeah. It's like, explain the difference. RIP Jen, Justice, for Jen, I love her. Everything bagel. I love her.
Starting point is 01:30:41 She was so, she was just normal. Yeah, she was. Yeah. But yeah, I think Kenzie, Kenzie's, it's her, Kenzie's explanation for everything is I'm just here to explore. It's like, you know, that cool, you can explore. But at some point, you can't explore, like, especially now, like we live in a time where if all you want to do is explore, you can explore till the end of time. Literally. Yeah. You know, there's a limitless dating apps. We have access to, it seemingly, access to every eligible person out there. You have to lock in. Make a decision.
Starting point is 01:31:11 You have to make a decision. You have to play it out. You have to see how it goes. You have to get to know someone, which many of these people are doing. We don't know if any of these people are end up together. Yeah. But like they're exploring these relationships and taking a risk. They're liking someone enough to say, all right, I want to see where this goes.
Starting point is 01:31:28 And I don't, there's no guarantee at the end. Yeah. But I want to play this out where Kenzie's not really doing that with anyone. She's just asking herself, do I feel a spark? And if I feel a spark, then I need to handshake them. Yeah. Which is to crest their leg and make out with them. In a way that's just like, the roomie.
Starting point is 01:31:48 She kept saying it. And they all cringe. I know. Okay. I have a question for everybody. If Kenzie views a kiss as a handshake, what does she view other things as? Like, what's a hand inside of a thigh if a kiss is a handshake? French fries?
Starting point is 01:32:02 French fries? I love, no, was it? Did you guys talk about it when Corpillar? sweet, sweet Kayla was like, what's French fries? And then he goes, DJing. And I'm like, is he supposed to know what DJ is? I mean, it obviously made sense afterwards. But I love how she answered.
Starting point is 01:32:19 Actually, on Livehouse Plus, we had a whole deep dive into what French fries means. Oh, my God. Means. That's funny. Well, in terms of the votes, I'll put it around here. Do we think there's a big debate online going on right now? I'm curious what you think, Alexa. Do we think people are actually voting for the most compatible couple?
Starting point is 01:32:38 Or are they voting to save their favorite individuals? Because people were very shocked by Casey and Titi staying and Melanie and sincere staying over Zach and Kada, for example. The KC and Titi, they are objectively compatible. Yeah. I feel like whenever it comes to Islanders voting, they always have that bias. They want to keep their friends in the island. Like when I saw, I was Corbin versus Zach. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:58 It's like they're always going to choose the person that's been the longest, always. But I do feel like they did make the right decision in that choice. their way, but... What about viewers voting? Like, do you feel like, like, people, like, getting Casey and TT, like, them being safe? Yeah. Do you think that's people pulling favorites, or do you think that really was, like, a compatibility? I think that was, honestly, Casey's, like, male fan base.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Yeah, he's got a lot of guys. Because that shocked me. Like, I honestly saw... Not that I love Tada and Zach, but I saw them being more compatible than in Casey, because they're just so new. We don't know that much about them. I also thought T.T. and Amara were excellent additions from a CASA standpoint. Like, I love...
Starting point is 01:33:35 you know obviously they came in hot and there was a lot there was that drama when they first came in but I T.T. has spoken up and defended herself that has in some ways commanded respect for some of like the OG women where they're like okay fine we came in hot but like she makes a lot of sense
Starting point is 01:33:52 and she does in a way where I think she's been a great addition to the cast I'm more gone too soon she didn't have much of a chance but like I thought both those women were great additions that like I think helped you know like it created like good conversations
Starting point is 01:34:07 where like so often as I'm sure you know like the OG people have almost too much power Yeah they do You know they're like the cool kids in the school And when they say something Everyone else is like okay I guess You know where TT was always willing to be like
Starting point is 01:34:23 I don't know and here's why And it was like oh I kind of hope they bring Amora back For a third time No no no no next season Oh yeah I want a more Like Amora just has this like charm and ability with the camera. Like I was so in love with her.
Starting point is 01:34:41 And I think if they bring her back as like an OG next season, she would be perfect. I think that would fit her more than like a crossover role. Do we think I was kind of shocked that Kada and Zach weren't like at least safe. Like I don't see him as like a top couple. But I think obviously Melanie and sincere, I think people ride so hard for Melanie. So maybe that's where majority of the votes went. But then I'm like, I'm, I'm, I'm. really shocked. I'm like, are people not connecting with
Starting point is 01:35:07 Kada? Like, I think people just hate Zach so much. I feel for Zach. I don't. He's Charlie's brother. Thank you. What's wrong with Charlie? I'm not saying I would date him. I'm just, here's why I feel bad for Zach because like, you know, maybe he's
Starting point is 01:35:23 a little annoying. I don't know. I am too. You know? And it's like, but I think people don't like are hating Zach because, and I agree with them. It's just like we look at Kada and Zach, I just,
Starting point is 01:35:37 I don't see it. I don't buy it. I don't, not that I don't buy, I buy it. I don't think they're, when you say I don't buy it, what do you mean?
Starting point is 01:35:43 I'm on his end. Oh, you don't, I see her liking him a lot, but I think he likes her, but I think he's very like, waiting for something better. No, me too.
Starting point is 01:35:51 You think so? No. And being Charlie's brother, like, you know why he came here. I think, well, they all came here for fame.
Starting point is 01:35:57 I just think, I think, I don't mean this is a disrespect to Zach. I don't mean this is a disrespect to Zach, but I think Kada is, and this sounds to me because I hate when people say this about, like, you know, like we don't know these people.
Starting point is 01:36:08 Yeah. But from a fan standpoint, it seems like Kada is a little out of his league in a sense that like I just can't imagine Kada like, you know, getting in bed and watching Spider-Man. Yeah. You know? And,
Starting point is 01:36:19 and Zach gives kind of a boyish vibe. And Kada seems like she'd be more drawn to the more mature men out there. I thought Zach was 22 this whole time, but he's 26. He's 26? He's 26. He's 26.
Starting point is 01:36:32 and he acts like younger than Corbin. I think he's just too immature for her, honestly. But he doesn't seem like a, like, what is Zach done that makes, like, gives you red flag? Honestly, him not telling about angel wings. That is, I know, I know, I know. But I'm like, that is one thing where even after she was like, but you didn't explain it. And he was like, it was irrelevant. I cannot say when somebody does that.
Starting point is 01:36:54 I'm like, no, proactive transparency is like communication. Communication. Because if I'm telling you it's a big deal and you're saying it's not a part of the equation, then it is a part of the equation because it was for me. So like, he loves saying that he's joking. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:37:06 that's what, yeah, everything's a joke. That's the, even when him and, him and Kato were talking about after movie night and she's,
Starting point is 01:37:13 like, you watch her be like, pissed at him. Yeah. And right. And completely in the right. And then he does his little jokey thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:20 But I just, and makes her, and it makes her feel bad. Yeah. But what he's doing and it's what, like, it's, I,
Starting point is 01:37:26 I just, I know so many guys like that. Yeah. And what he's doing is he's like, manipulating her by joking and making it lighter. So then she feels like she's being a bit too dramatic. Yes, for sure. It reads more immaturity.
Starting point is 01:37:41 Oh, yeah. Yeah, I don't think it's intentional. Immature. I don't think it's malicious. Yeah. I think he's, I think he has some growing up to do. And he even told Kada that he didn't bring the girl back and he could it if he wanted
Starting point is 01:37:50 to, but he could never have brought her back. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He did say that. He lied. He lied. He won 100% love.
Starting point is 01:37:57 Yeah. Yeah. That is so. That was crazy. He, you know, to think, he just convinced himself himself. she didn't need to know. Yeah. And what the real truth is, I don't want to tell her
Starting point is 01:38:06 because it's going to make her upset. Yeah. And I believe, I believe Zach. I believe Zach that he was never going to bring her back. I do too. I do. And he convinced himself that was the important part. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:38:18 As opposed to what she thought was the most important part. And if he would have just been like, yo, I got to tell you. And I don't know how it's going to sound. Yeah. Because I was definitely going to pick you. Yeah. But like, she left. And he just set himself up for, I'm so glad.
Starting point is 01:38:37 He was like, I was open to exploring with her and I did a little bit. And then she left and I'm glad she, like, I was going to pick you regardless. And obviously, like, I feel so bad that like you are never going to be able to know that I would. Yeah. But I want to do everything in this relationship to prove it to you that I would have. That's what he could have said. It's that simple. It's pretty easy.
Starting point is 01:38:57 When they kept showing Bryce for the karaoke night when Zach was singing. And Bryce is just clearly like obviously as we know like the producers follow internet discourse. They know like what fans like. So they're leaning into this bromance of Bryce and Zach. And they kept panning to Bryce just like smiling with such infinity towards Zach. Also I'm curious. Do we think that the reason Zach got lowest votes is because Casey and Sincere were very humbled by movie night. And you know, apologize they're taking actions.
Starting point is 01:39:29 Zach still has not been humbled yet. do we think the audience was using the vote to humble? I see that for sure. Yeah. I see that. I kind of worked. I saw him crying in this next episode. Good. Yeah. I do think Zach is very in tune to your point of like Love Island, how it works, the importance of fan support.
Starting point is 01:39:49 And I think I think this vote is going to hit Zach super hard in a way that. Yeah, I think, yeah, I don't know if. It seems like Kada doesn't need this in a way that like... Needsack or the show? Just, yeah, the show. We're like, I just feel like, you know, Kada's obviously, her life's going to be forever changed. I think she seems to have, she's part of the core for.
Starting point is 01:40:17 She's going to have a very dedicated fan base. Where, but no matter what happens with Love Island, I feel like Kada has, I just, she seems like she's been successful before this show happened. and I feel like she's going to be successful no matter what. And I feel like she has a lot of confidence in herself about that. Yeah, definitely.
Starting point is 01:40:37 Where I feel like Zach is pot committed to Love Island. It's like he's telling us, this needs to work for me. Yeah, absolutely. Well, it's like in that vein, Zach kind of reminds me of the kind of guy in real life. Like, obviously this is a TV character, Zach.
Starting point is 01:40:54 But like, he, who can't handle bagging a baddie. It's like, it's the guy that wants the batty so bad. And then he finally gets a baddie. When he punished her, when Caleb pulled her for a chat and didn't make her breakfast, that was crazy. Yeah, ew, I hate that. Did he actually not make her breakfast? He didn't make her breakfast. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:41:11 That is crazy. I hate that. That bothered me. Punishment. Ew. And you're insecure. Meanwhile, he told Kate I could go pull him because he was like, why do you save Caleb? You better go pull him.
Starting point is 01:41:22 That's why I don't think all of Zach's comments about like still being open and wanting to explore. I don't think are real. I think that's him trying to. to make her feel. Like he could. Because he knows that in his mind. I think he's obsessed. He's obsessed with her.
Starting point is 01:41:37 If they don't get married, Zach is going to have a really difficult, like, breakdown. For sure. Because in his brain, though, he's like, this is the most gorgeous, perfect woman I will ever find.
Starting point is 01:41:49 She checks all of the boxes. She is, like, amazing. And now I have to deal with the fact that, like, I can't match up to her. Everyone's going to want her. Yeah. That's true. forever.
Starting point is 01:42:00 Yeah. And so it's like if you can't handle, if you don't feel that you deserve a baddie, then you don't deserve a baddie. Right. Yeah, people always say that. I've talked to a few like really bad baddies. And they say like, don't ever be his first body. Don't ever be a man's first buddy.
Starting point is 01:42:16 Because it'll F you up as the woman. That's why I tell the boy is on reality TV. It's a little slightly different though. But like I don't, don't be anyone's white whale. What is that? Well, because like, you know. It's like a unicorn? Is it what it called?
Starting point is 01:42:29 Yeah. Don't be the unicorn. Okay. You know, like, you know, because, listen, a lot of guys, you know, for the most part, women are, you know, guys can get a little sloppy in the bedroom. Yeah. Like, clearly all these guys are going to have a bunch of women in their DMs. Yeah, for sure. Right.
Starting point is 01:42:45 And for whatever reason, there are a lot of guys out there that just will like, sex is sex, you know? It's just like, hey, I don't really, you know, if you're down, I'm down, you know. And if you hook up with someone where they're like, I can't. I can't believe I have slept with Caleb. You know, like you want to make sure that if when they're done dating you, they could go on and date a professional football player, a rock star, like a soccer player, a DJ, I don't know, someone on Raya. I've just, you know, but if you're the first person that's like the, oh my God, I cannot, they're going to tell everyone. They, they, they, they, they're going to go online. They're going to make a TikTok.
Starting point is 01:43:28 They're going to tell everyone. don't be, just like saying, don't be their, you're saying, you have a different version. It's the opposite. It's like dating, can be active if, but if she, if this is her one chance to like date the celebrity or hook up with the really good looking person, she will tell everyone. If this is her one shot, like, yeah, you can't. Yeah, because I could see Zach making a TikTok when Katie leaves him. Yeah. Eight part series.
Starting point is 01:43:56 Yeah, exactly. Eight part series, how I fumbled. Yeah. Yeah, except for he won't see it like that. No, no. I don't think the hate he's getting is completely warranted. No. Because, again, he's just.
Starting point is 01:44:09 Sometimes. He's a slightly immature guy who's like dating someone who we think is a little out of his league. We're seeing Bryce and all of his noble words and then we're seeing Zach. And it's just jarring. Opposite. You see the moral paragon. The moral paragon. And that is the thing.
Starting point is 01:44:23 Bryce, what I've realized I was talking to my friend about this. Bryce asking the question, who is the moral. Paragon and Love Island. He is. Literally. And he will never but and the reason he is is because he would never claim to be. Exactly. He's looking for it. Yeah, but the truth is Bryce isn't quite as great as he's
Starting point is 01:44:41 coming across and Zach isn't as quite as bad as he's coming across. That's true. That's true. That's always the truth in reality TV. I mean, yeah. For all people. But right now the producers are protect Trinity and Bryce at all. Do they have a nickname? Brinidad. Burnity. Protect Brinity at all costs.
Starting point is 01:44:56 Yeah. Which I also say protect Brinidad. If they win, right? Oh, they have to win. The only people who have a shot is Casey and Carl. But I did, I thought that to myself. I said that to Natalie. No, Carl and Anaya. But honestly, love Anaya, but I thought she almost ruined it for herself.
Starting point is 01:45:18 Because I thought Carl was kind of getting the ick when she was like really leaning it. When her and Casey were going at it. Yeah. Like if you see someone you like cared that much about their ex. You're like, it's kind of like, I don't know, I don't know, bro. Like, I don't know if she's like, but I think she recovered. Yeah, she did. She showed.
Starting point is 01:45:37 And Carl has a lot of grace. Yeah. Do we think that Carl and Bryce are sexier because these other boys are so immature? Like, does that just boost them up that much more? I don't even know if I need the comparison. I just know that seeing a secure man. Yeah. Like, Carl, to me, I'm like, hot.
Starting point is 01:45:58 I see Bryce. I'm like cute and sweet and like oh like I love that he like is so into it and he seems like a really good guy with a big heart Carl I look at and I'm like haughty mick fucking haughty like he just seems like good head on his shoulder smart yeah kind thoughtful he's such a gentleman literally how he walks her he's like so formal like I wouldn't like it's not my typical like go-to I don't think like I'm not I don't think I like go for like the the chivalrous you know and he's not like my typical type I would say but like see. him I'm like that's a fucking man. And maybe it is compared to the other people in there. But
Starting point is 01:46:33 even without the comparison, I'm like, I just, I think a lot of them, I think they're like showing good colors. I think I'm comparing it to the history of Love Island men. We've never seen a Bryce or a Carl and just the whether they speak about women. And like, even Bryce telling Trinity to not tell the boys that they had sex. But, wait, what'd she do? Bryce told the boy, Bryce told Trinity to not tell the boys or tell the girls that they had sex. Meanwhile, Zach, the next day is like air-humping talking about Kata. Yeah. Like we've never seen that.
Starting point is 01:47:02 Yeah, I didn't catch that. That is such like a, especially on a show like Love Island. Yeah. Like that is such a very specific thing to make sure of of like he wants to keep him and Trinity like want to keep that relationship special even though they're on TV. And you can tell. It feels very genuine. I feel like Love Island kind of like shows like young fashion a lot and the way they're
Starting point is 01:47:22 switching clothes. Like what do you see from this season kind of like coming into like transatlantic? and stuff. Oh, I feel like Melanie and Trinity, their outfits are so tea. And I'm even seeing like girls finding Melanie's dress on like Deepop and like scouring the bends for, which is so cute. And I think, oh, Trinity's like 2014 fashion style is very interesting. And it's cute because like Bryce is like the tumbler bowl. And it's just like, they're just so perfect. But yeah, I do see those two girls affecting the fashion today. I'm seeing a lot of girls like, yeah, go out and buy the clothes that they're wearing. And I'm like, I love it. I almost bought the dress too. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:55 Yeah. Do you think Bryson Trinity are kind of like bringing back? Because I've seen a lot of people compare them to Twilight. Yeah, I love that. Yeah. Do you think we're looking to a vampire resurgence? Oh my God. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:48:10 Because of Bryson Trinity. I see it. The edits are so good. So good. I love to bring the edit. It is so good. Yeah. You do content about like the, like how you would style or like hair for Love Island
Starting point is 01:48:22 Girls, right? Yeah, I do. Wait, can you tell us about that? Yeah. Because your curls are amazing. Thank you. Yeah. So one thing I was talking about is what styles I would wear in Fiji because wearing curly hair in Fiji is so difficult.
Starting point is 01:48:33 Like the humidity and the challenges, like the slime and the paint in your hair. And the girls have like one hour to get ready every day. And they share a shower. Yeah. And so for me, I made a video saying I'd probably do boho braids. Cute. Which is when it's braids and then you have some curls attached to it. So you get that messy look.
Starting point is 01:48:49 I've done stuff like that. I've done stuff about if you were to wear your hair curly, how you keep moisturized with. with having to wash it so often all that stuff. Oh, nice. I always think about that with Love Island because it's like you watch them transform throughout the season
Starting point is 01:49:02 because it becomes this like communal wardrobe. Yeah. And we're talking about Love Island fashion. Oh, cool. Yeah. Or even like, like Trinity telling Bryce how he should like wear his hair and then he looks hotter.
Starting point is 01:49:15 He looks good. Do you think Trinity told Bryce to stop wearing the bangs? No, the whatever that hair, that plastic. No, I think she loves the headband. The headband is cute Because I feel like he stopped wearing it Oh he did kind of stop wearing it though
Starting point is 01:49:28 Maybe his hair got shorter Because I know they cut the boys hair every once in a while Okay They do Yeah Trinade has got some great fashion Oh yeah I love She's the high boots
Starting point is 01:49:36 I know So cute And her like Her piercing is really cool Oh and I love them The double Yeah the double is really cute I love that kind of like
Starting point is 01:49:44 Emo-ish vampire Yeah you get kind of like the little Like old grunggy You have a soft grunge tumbler couple On the violent right now I'm living for it Yeah. A lot of people have compared Trinity to Elandria,
Starting point is 01:49:57 but I think she's more like Serena. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. She has that kind of like... It's just like... Not that or... Elandria was like very like quiet. Demure and just kind and just...
Starting point is 01:50:09 Yeah. Lovely. Yeah. And not that Trinity is any... Not any of... She's all those things, but in a way that Serena could like... Talk somebody.
Starting point is 01:50:17 She's like, I'll cut you. Yeah. If I have, like I'll, you know, she'll defend her girls. Yeah. She will... She's been like Trinity's been in the fray
Starting point is 01:50:27 in the best possible way but she never goes too far Yeah for sure Yeah Who has the best fashion Outside of Trinity? She was saying Melanie
Starting point is 01:50:37 Trinity I agree Melanie's the blue necklace Did you all notice that It matched perfectly with her outfit I was like
Starting point is 01:50:44 How did you even find something that could match that perfectly? Her fashion's really good Yeah it's like boho And I love that it fits her It does And all the little skirts
Starting point is 01:50:53 around the swimsuits. I feel like that it's like, I legit wore those when I was a little kid, and they're coming back, and I love it. So being the Love Island expert that you are, having watched many of all the seasons, how would you, Alexa, the producer, map out the rest of the season?
Starting point is 01:51:10 Oh, the rest of the season? Because we only have like a week left. Yeah, I know. Well, they haven't done any dates besides Bryce and Trinity, so I want to see. Do you like the dates? When I like the couple, I do. Like Bryce, Trinitus is cute.
Starting point is 01:51:21 So more dates. And I think, honestly, I feel like what always happens is when a couple gets locked off like this, they get less scream time because there's less drama around them. But I want to see more of the love and more of that stuff versus just drama, drama, drama. So stuff like that, more dates for sure. And then maybe even one more bombshell. I said, do you think there'll be another bombshell? There should be for Melanie. You think so?
Starting point is 01:51:41 Give her something. That is true because right now, that is a good point. Because we are grateful that they showed all the sincere scenes. but for all of us, myself included, who are like, you've got to leave them, you can't stay with them.
Starting point is 01:51:57 Yeah. What choice did she have at this point? She didn't like Corey as much and she only had a few days with him. She's not going to leave, I mean, yeah, she could leave the villa. She's not going to leave the villa.
Starting point is 01:52:06 Right. We don't want her to leave the villa. Like this is a once in a life time opportunity. So you're giving her no other option. Exactly. To explore anyone other than just give sincere another shot. Yeah, I do think,
Starting point is 01:52:18 I think one more bombshell. maybe one of each. I don't really think that it's going to do much. Even for Melanie, I don't think she's going to leave sincere at this point. Give her a little something. I would love to get her breakup. Me too. I want Kate and Zach to break up.
Starting point is 01:52:35 In the show. Yeah, on the show. I'd say that. I mean, the previews looked, I mean, he was having a breakdown. And I don't know. Obviously, it could be bait. But I'm like, it looks like he's having to break down over America not loving them. And I'm like, bro, we don't need this.
Starting point is 01:52:50 the validation. Like, you have the baddest girl ever in the world. And she's beautiful, kind, funny. Yeah. What,
Starting point is 01:52:56 like, what do you want? It will be interesting if we see that, because that's where you need the, that's where Zach needs to have that little bit of like, fuck it. Fuck it. I don't care.
Starting point is 01:53:04 Us against the world. Like, I'm your, you know, I'm, I'm, he needs to be enough for himself so that he can be enough for Kada.
Starting point is 01:53:10 Yeah. In a way that doesn't make her feel like, are you with me? Because you feel better about yourself. Yeah. Then you feel about us. Totally. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:53:20 I can't wait to see what happens. Alexa, there's been so much fun. I've had a great time. You need to come back next season. I would love to. Right here. We love to find our experts on TikTok.
