Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello on everybody. Welcome back to another exciting episode of the Vile Files Reality Recap Edition. I'm your host, Nick, joined by my gorgeous sexy wife. Natalie Joy returns to the show. She's back. She's back and the babies are downstairs. So if I need to be needed, I'm out of here, y'all. Always like an immediate disclaimer.
Starting point is 00:00:35 I'm just letting everybody. She's like, I'm here about. I'm about to leave. But I'm not leaving unless I'm needed. Unless you are called upon. Unless babies are like, mom. We also have the household with us. We got Mary Sweet Boy Justin somewhere in the background, Bailey.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Susie and Jimmy Sotos returns. Back on the couch, baby. Hi. We're going to make him an official part of the household. Jimmy's becoming a part of the household. I have a, if you couldn't tell, I have a soft spot for Jimmy. My dog. My dog, I appreciate that, man.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Happy to be here. It's always good vibes there. Love coming to the couch. When I first met Jimmy, I did not think we would be here today. I was like, I don't know about this guy. Yeah, we met on Zoom. Don't judge a book by his cover. Yeah, that's right. That's right.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Although it's a good cover, Jimmy. I mean, you're a beautiful man. I appreciate that. Likewise, brother. I found a young man who like... Did you see how absolutely ripped he is? Let's talk about it. I thought.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Oh, okay. What if you did I see that I didn't see? Oh, I just, he posted the, um, the dancing video with Nick and I was like, we got to get my man some new dance moves. We're doing the same, we're doing the same dance moves in every dancing video. And then I clicked on Jimmy's page and I was like, wait, where are all these reels? come to find out, he hides them on just his reels. I have a very intentionally curated Instagram grid.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Okay. You have a curated Instagram, Jim? Some what? Yeah, you can say that. Okay. Some girls don't like it. Some girls like, you know what? Yeah, just. It's curated, but I was welcomed by like 12, lots of 12 packs of ads.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Wow. Welcome to me to his Instagram page. Appreciate that. Yeah. As it should. I mean, how old are you, Jimmy? 27. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:11 I try to be tasteful with the thirst traps. Like, I, They move the needle every now and then, but if you start doing it too much, it's too, like, in your face, like, look at me. It's a little, a little much. Now, be honest, Jimmy, how much when you're posting it do you, like, do you need the, like, the pick me up? Like, how much are you? How much is it for the fans? And how much is it for, like.
Starting point is 00:02:32 How down bad are you when you post a third? No, not down bad. I mean, listen, and I come, this is a no judgment place, Jimmy, because before, you know, when I was hot before I met Natalie. Sorry about that. Listen, I was working hard. I was lifting some weights and like, you know, I didn't mind the compliment. Doesn't hurt. No.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Feels good. I'll be honest, it's a, when I post one of those, it's usually a slow creative day for me. It's like, I can't think of anything yet. I kind of know what might do well real quick. Like, fuck it. I guess I'll use my body. Kind of just checking a box. I actually did fall into a crafty little rhythm whenever I would post a brand deal
Starting point is 00:03:11 because algorithm dis incentivized like brand deals. just immediately post a thirst trap right after, and the views would trickle down. I've learned that I was over time kind of like objectifying and sexualized myself for the algorithm. You were trying to boost your creativity with your abs. You're trying to blur, you know, men worlds.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Good for you. That's a businessman if I've ever heard of one. Well, I saw the results. Like, I remember my first ever branded was with like Adidas. And I was like, why is this video not getting as many views as my other videos? Started getting to it more and more. And every time I had my shirt off in a video at Ohio State, it did well.
Starting point is 00:03:47 So I was like, I know. What comes after you're showing, taking off your shirt? Like when that is like, we're like used to that. At that time, there was a little dance, a little corny, cringy dance, you know, one of those. It's like a tick now. The dolphin. Yeah, no. They come back like riding a bike, yo.
Starting point is 00:04:05 I swear to God. Jimmy, do you ever have a coach, like, pull you aside and talk to you about your social media content? I mean, we could talk. talking about this. So when I was at Ohio State, it was when I had a real past. So I was one of the first athletes to be able to monetize like my TikTok. Oh, yeah. You're, dude, you're a, you're a, you're breaking barriers. Yeah, it was pioneers. Yeah. But so initially, my coach was like, what are you doing? Like, you want to be a basketball player or do you want to be a TikTok? Like, what's going on? And then again, my first ever brand deal was Adidas. I'm at a Nike school. And it became like a leverage battle.
Starting point is 00:04:40 If Nike doesn't want me to do the deal, I got to kind of pay me more. to do it. And my coach is like, I see, keep doing your thing. I don't know what it is, but do your little dancing dance, bro. In your experience, where coaches, like, super open to, like, student athletes going online and stuff? Initially, no. Like, I had a buddy at a rival school who was, you know, at a similar level on the internet as me. And his coach was like, no, like, I'm nipping the shit in the butt right now. Like, you're not going to be a distraction in the locker room. You're, we're about the team. This is not about your. off-court brands.
Starting point is 00:05:14 But my coach, thankfully, he saw, like, the long-term play, I think. So he was like, keep doing your thing. Like, I don't get it, but, like, it's clearly bringing you money. So, like... It's so crazy that a coach or really anybody, like a mentor, this happens a lot. I feel like a lot of people, even in Bachelor World,
Starting point is 00:05:30 like, there's such a stigma. Maybe not anymore, but I feel like a few years ago, it's like, oh, like, you have a real job. You can't really be showing up online like this. As long as you're, like, not doing something, you know, saying inappropriate stuff or doing something that's, like, taking away from, you know, know, an overall, like, well-perceived brand?
Starting point is 00:05:46 I'm like, why would anybody discourage you from, like, trying to create something of your own? I tell anybody nowadays, like, if you're thinking about getting into content, like, yeah, it's a hurdle, like, it's a mental block. But, like, if you can't execute the vision properly, all it can do is add benefit. As long as you can chalk up the noise to just noise and not let it, like, ruin your day-to-day, your mental health, it can only just add value. Speaking of, we got the suburban double lives, the suburban wives.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Yeah, dude. Oh. Speaking of adding value. Thinking of content creation. Have you ever considered, have you ever been approached to do OnlyFans, Jimmy? Yeah, OnlyFans wanted me and a beach volleyball player to be their first OnlyFans athletes. And I swear to God, I called my brother. I was like, hey, bro, they're trying to rebrand a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Like, I'm thinking about it. He was like, kind of chic. He was like, no. He was like, no, you're going overseas. You're going to play basketball. Like, no, you're not letting you do this. Yeah. So, but I remember when, because this was all happening for me over COVID.
Starting point is 00:06:41 So, like, yeah, it was. like a number on a screen with the followers, but I wasn't aware of like the magnitude. Yeah. And I got teammates who are about to get like drafted. So as soon as like the world opens back up, we play a game on a Saturday and we pop out at night. And I got teammates who are about to be like million dollar men in like a year. And like girls are coming up to me.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And I got like my NBA buddies like, yo, watch out. Watch out. I'm like, this is not working in my head. But like they're about to get drafted. You're about to get drafted. I'm about the go. Yeah. What are we talking about?
Starting point is 00:07:11 But like cool. Take a little fun up. I guess. It was so weird for me. That's awesome. You learned to love it. Yeah. Well, the euphoria, the show Euphoria, they kind of glam, not glamorized, but like, they shed an interesting light on the OnlyFans industry.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Did you all watch most recent season? I didn't even tell Natalie the story yet. I got to tell you about my euphoria dad's story. Oh my God. Watch it as a father. They were terrified. So Natalie and I watched the first season. We were, like everyone else, super into it.
Starting point is 00:07:39 We also watched the second season, really enjoyed it. and, you know, the ending, obviously. Sad, polarizing, you know. And then season three came out. I think you tried watching it. I didn't really get into it. A lot of people fell off. Even Love Island made a joke about it.
Starting point is 00:07:54 I'm at the park with my dad with River. And he's like, so do you watch Euphoria? And I'm like, yeah, we kind of, I don't know. Like, and this is not a type of show that I'd ever imagine my dad watching. And I'm like, yeah, we watched the first two season. And he's like, oh, no, he's like, the third season is the best season. He was like, he's like, yeah, it's like, it really gets into the character. He's like, yeah, it was a tough watch at first.
Starting point is 00:08:17 But like, man, season three really, it was really great. And like. And the part was Sidney Sweeney. It really was captivating when I'm in dying. He did not bring up Sidney Sweeney. He did, he really focused on Zendaya's character Roo. I was a little taken back. I was like, what, huh?
Starting point is 00:08:33 You what? Like, this was the type of show that we would never be able to watch growing up. And the fact that my dad was confessed to me that it was. of Stan. He was one of the few people. He advocates for season three for anyone who's curious. It does go a little left, but
Starting point is 00:08:50 I kind of agree with your pop, but I actually, my first ever reality TV show I ever watched with my pop and it was dance moms. What? How old were you? I was a jit.
Starting point is 00:09:00 I was a baby. I don't really remember. And he was into it? Yeah, I remember like, we were like, we would watch it like satirically and then like we both got into it. Yeah, that's how it always starts. He was watching what time by himself.
Starting point is 00:09:10 Me and my mom were clowning. him, but I was like, I was paying attention to. Yeah, exactly. You're like, this is so annoying. I'm going to get on my iPad and then you're like... Abby Lee is good TV. I don't care. Nobody's saying. Yeah. Yeah. Natalie, have you been? What has been your, on your maternity leave?
Starting point is 00:09:26 What's been your favorite stuff to watch? Oh, you think I got time to watch TV, babes? I don't know what's on. No, ma'am. What's on? What's on? What's on in, like, the background? Nothing's on in the background. I'm praying for silence is what I'm doing. I just dialed over that.
Starting point is 00:09:41 How are you doing? Mental health check-in? Mental health check-in. I just filled out my postpartum depression form at my six-week checkup with the doctor. Okay. What does that look like? Just a form that asks a lot of questions like, you know, are you feeling sadder than normal? Have you laughed recently? Like, do things kind of like that, you know? That's a chuckle.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Yeah, I'm like, well, sometimes I laugh. But I'm doing great now. Wonderful. Yeah. Are you feeling more settled? I am. I'm feeling like we're getting a little bit more into a routine now. we're seven weeks postpartum.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Babies are seven weeks old. So we're, I think, finding our way, don't you think? Yeah, I'm really tired tonight today. I was going to ask about to sleep. Which is interesting because I woke up next to two babies and looked over and Nick was nowhere to be found. So I thought, oh, let me call him. He's probably up with River. Call phone rings on the bedside table.
Starting point is 00:10:35 I said, hmm, that's weird. He doesn't have his phone. Checked River's camera. He's asleep. And River is gone. What? And you were sleeping in her bed. Where was River?
Starting point is 00:10:44 She must have been with my mom. My mom's helping us this morning. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. But I was like, oh, he's getting some beauty rest, it looks like. River wakes up at like 6.30 and she's like, and she's just like, morning time. Let's get up. And I'm like, no.
Starting point is 00:10:58 She says morning time? Yeah, she was morning time. Morning time. Morning time. Morning time. Wow. Are you guys on a pretty good schedule? Like, do you have it down to like, okay, they eat it this time?
Starting point is 00:11:10 Every three hours. Every three hours, eat nap. We try to do like eat, play nap. Play as in like go to school, look at your contrast cards. But, you know, with having River around, it's also hard to prioritize that. So it's a lot of just like they're staring at me or River or my mom just like staring at the ceiling. You know, and that's their playtime. How old is River?
Starting point is 00:11:34 She's two and a half. And does she have a set nap time during the day? She takes one nap. at one o'clock. And then are the twins normally down during that time? No. I mean, they're always,
Starting point is 00:11:46 they're never really, they're either sleeping, eating or like doing something in between. Daring. Crying. Staring. Because I'm like at what point. Screaming,
Starting point is 00:11:57 crying, throwing up. Yeah. Screaming crying or throwing up. Like this, Natalie, do you get like a 20 minute like, like all the babies are asleep?
Starting point is 00:12:07 No. Not really. Yeah. You're just constantly. Yeah, constantly touched or hearing things or it's not a really quiet house anymore, but that's what we prayed for, you know? Yeah. Hands are full, but thank God they're not empty. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:12:22 Yes. She didn't go to Pilates this morning. I did. Oh, that's amazing. I know. My mom's been with us. She's been helping us. I've had to, like, share her with my brother recently because his wife just had a baby two weeks after I had the twins.
Starting point is 00:12:37 and River was her first granddaughter. So I was, like, used to having mom at, like, Beck and Call. You know, she's retired, single. I'd be like, mom, come on up, hang out for a month. And now she's like, oh, I got to go see your brother and help him with his son. Which is just not what I'm used to. Yeah, shared custody for sure. So that's been a little bit of a struggle.
Starting point is 00:13:03 But my mom, but I did get out for a night. I said, will everyone be okay for a 50-minute Pilate? class and they all said yes. Amazing. Nali, can I just say I've really missed your little southern turns of phrases? I've really missed y'all. They add something special. They do. Oh, you guys, I was just in Tennessee with my sister who had a baby like four months ago and I offered to do the night shift and I have to say, I give y'all so much credit. I'm barely here. I'm barely alive and in the studio because the way waking up three times and trying to get a baby back to sleep. That's one baby. That's four months. I can't imagine having two
Starting point is 00:13:43 newborns and a two-year-old. Like, I give you all so much credit. There's some moments in the night where it gets, it's... Like, when Nick and I are fighting, it's because it's the middle of the night. And, like, he said some shit left sideways. And I was like, are you serious right now? And then we're both just in 2 a.m. We're both tired. We're very short with each other in the middle of the night. Yeah. I don't know where the fucking bottles are. I don't imagine. Yeah. But overall, we're doing pretty good guys. You guys, I'm so impressed. Yeah, it's, it's, we're hanging in. Yeah. Good. I'm glad. And look y'all sitting there together. Natalie looks beautiful. Did you get a blowout? No, actually, I did not. It looks good. It looks like he does it. It looks like
Starting point is 00:14:23 you did. And other good news, did you guys hear about Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden getting engaged? Did we hear, babes? You want to hear a crazy story. Yes. I saw his post on Instagram where he posted like 12 pictures of Tate and it was like Tate Appreciation Day or some corny shit like that. And so I texted him and said, propose already. Like if you're going to post this Tate appreciation, you got to propose. Like, what are you doing? Right. And he just responds with a picture of her hand with this gigantic engagement ring on. And I was like, oh, my telepathy is crazy. That's amazing. This is a big ring. Huge, which I mean. I'm texting with it right now. I see if he wants to FaceTime us. Hey, what do y'all think about kids? before marriage.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Well, I hope you feel good about it, Jim, because we did that. We sinned. Yeah? Yeah. We had Little River, about three months old, at the wedding. Makes a good prop at a wedding. I love that.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Yeah. It's also like a good proof of concept. I love it. My uncle and my auntie, they got a kid, never got married. But, yeah, I mean, we talked about it a couple times. I remember when I'm not a big label guy anyway. So, yeah, if it's showtime, it's showtime. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Pop them out. You would definitely have kids. kids before marriage? Me? Yeah. Oh yeah, I already got... No, I'm playing. He's like, yeah, I got too waiting on me outside.
Starting point is 00:15:42 No, yeah, I wouldn't. I don't have like a specific timeline I'd want to adhere to or anything. Do you go to any coffee shops this weekend, Jim? I did. I did. Where'd you go? I was in Dallas and I was at a place called like Montsori. It was darling.
Starting point is 00:15:59 I saw a cute couple playing chess and I was very jealous. Do you play chess? I used to play chess with my ex every morning. Yeah. We don't need to do this right now. Yeah. And Jimmy, have you approved of the nickname Jim? Sorry.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Jim's cool. Oh, you like it. Yeah. Well, Jimmy is fun because, yeah, there's so many options. You can go Jim, Jimbo. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:23 What about James Isaac Neutron? I get that sometimes, yeah. Is your real name James? There's only a few people that call me James. Yeah. My name was David for three days. And then my pop changes mine. No way.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Yeah. Yeah. My uncle Danny, just like an old Greek dude, exactly what you think like an Uncle Danny would look like. He was like, why did you name him David? My dad was like, I don't know. You should name him after you. So then I became a junior.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Wait, I love that. That is kind of crazy. I've heard more and more stories of people like changing their kids' names like days after they've been born. Actually, like honestly, that makes a lot of sense. You're just like, I don't know. I mean, I like our name. We chose some good names.
Starting point is 00:17:04 You guys have great names. There's a dope name. Yeah. I ran into a basketball player. His name was a Tennessee Rainwater. I was like, that's sick. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Tennessee Rainwater. And full circle on the conversation. First viral thirst trap ever did was at Belmont University. Huh? After a scrimmage. Mr. Ten? Who? His name was Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Who's that? Didn't you just say? Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, not, no. Not buddy. Not, no, no. It was just like a one-off thing. Okay. This is just me and a camera doing a little dance.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I was hoping that Mr. Rainwater was in the TikTok with him. Wait, you guys, did you guys hear about the D23? Yeah. Did I hear? All the announcements. I can't stop thinking about it. What does D23 stand for? Disney.
Starting point is 00:17:52 D23 is like the Disney Expo. Yeah, where they kind of like release all or they announce everything that they've got coming up the next couple of years to get people excited. Can I share a fun fact about this? Yes, you can. I perform. at D23 in Tokyo. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:07 What were you doing? I was, I worked at Tokyo Disneyland for two years and I was a, I got like selected. I auditioned to be a stage performer at D23 and I made it. And I, what did you do on stage? I did a dance. I danced and all the princesses were there, you know, friends of princess. You were a friend of the princess's dancing. I was a friend of Belle, yes.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Who's your favorite princess? Yeah. Your favorite princess? My favorite princess? I feel like Rapunzel probably. Let down your long hair. This is incredible news because can I quick run through? Hey!
Starting point is 00:18:44 Another one. Can I read through the list? We're right here with it. We got it. I'm going to read through the list. So basically we've got Camp Rock 3, Hext, Avengers Doomsday Vision Quest, Scrubs, Season 2, Percy Jackson in the Olympian season 3. That's huge news for me.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Ice Age Boiling Point. God, oh. Don't know what that is. Star Wars Starfighter. The Simpsons movie, too, huge. Zombies 5, Secret of the Sea. Frozen 3. Huge.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2. Asoka Season 2. Oswald, the greatest showman. What? 2027, period. A play. Broadway. A filmed Broadway version of the greatest showman.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Incredible. That's cool. Lilo and Stitch 2. Incredibles 3. X-Men. Awesome. Incredibles 3? Incredibles 3, yes.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Do these all come out next year? No. This is kind of like through 2028. So Incredibles 3 is coming 2028. X-Men is coming 2028. But they did announce some of the casting for X-Men, which is huge. We have Sadie Sink as Gene Gray. Sadie Sink is the girl from Stranger Things and was in the Taylor Swift all too well music video.
Starting point is 00:19:54 She's the Redhead. Yeah, the Redhead. Beautiful. She's going to be Jean Grey. Huge news. The girl from Obsession, she's going to be rogue. Who? The main girl in Obsession.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Did you watch her? Oh yeah. Oh yeah, I see her. Yeah. She crushed that. Indynavarate. Kit Connor. Kit Connor is going to be Cyclops.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Yes. Oh, that's so sick. It's going to be, it's a good cast. And they're, anyway. Yeah, Tangled is going to come out in 2028. Coco 2. You see the kid playing Percy Jackson? He looks just like Caleb from Love Island.
Starting point is 00:20:27 He does look like Caleb from Love Island. Yeah. Anyway, we got a bunch of like. Good stuff coming out. Dony? He does, yeah. Walter Scobel looks like Caleb from Love Island. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:40 We've also got Clay, Tangled, Ghost Street, The Imagineering Story Season 2, Cocoa 2, Zootopia 3. And then this is still TBA on like dates. This is kind of going through like 2029, so this won't be for a while. But Princess Diaries 3. But allegedly, the icon Julie Andrews will not be appearing as she does not do on-screen performances anymore is what I heard. I found that very sad.
Starting point is 00:21:04 She was like, I'm 90. I don't act anymore. And I'm like, if it keeps her with us for longer, I'm pro. Yeah, I'm guys, I'm probably, she got to take a break. 90. Doesn't she deserve retirement? 90 years old? I feel like sound of music.
Starting point is 00:21:17 She's done enough. That's so fair. She's given so much. She doesn't want to. But if it's about being old, then I'm like, don't hold back from us. Yeah. Well, then the last couple things, we got kingdom hearts, Spidey and his Amazing Friends Season 7, and Natalie, for you, the Cheetah Girls Next Gen is coming.
Starting point is 00:21:37 TBA. Wait, I'm excited for that. Is Raven Simone going to be involved? That's my question. I know, I'm like, is she producing? Or is she in? I think she's part of it. I would hope so.
Starting point is 00:21:49 That's cool. She is a Cheetah Girl, right? She is a Cheetah Girl. Yeah. But it's next gen. Next Gen. Next Gen, NYC, of Cheetah Girls. She's going to return.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Can we do Cheetah Girls and Leopard Boys? I'd be a leopard boy. You'd be good at that. That's my pitch. Yeah. Raven Simone will return in Cheetah Girls next gen. Love that. If that was your question.
Starting point is 00:22:07 What was the leopard, what was leopard girls? Cheetah girls and leopard boys? I'm not familiar with this show. With Cheetah girls? Yeah. It feels like Chippendales. I actually don't know if I want to pitch that anymore. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Would you? Leopard boys and Cheetah girls? What were the cheetah girls? What were they do? They were singers. Oh, okay. It was a group of like a girl group. Did they have magic powers or superpowers?
Starting point is 00:22:29 No, they were just like pop stars. They were just talented. Yes, why? If you consider love and family and friendship, magic, yeah. It was like this, it was like what girls do with sex in the city. You know, it was like, oh, which one are you? Mm-hmm. You know?
Starting point is 00:22:45 What were all their names? Like the Fanta commercials. Yeah. Chanel, Galleria, Durinda, Aqua. What names? Aqua. Wow. Takes me back.
Starting point is 00:22:55 Justin, were you a cheater girl fan? I was allowed to watch from the back of. the room, but not sit in front of the couch. So yes. From the back of the room. Wow. Who was watching while you were in the back of the room? I had sisters.
Starting point is 00:23:09 I got to say, yeah. My mom was mad. Maybe she just was working, but I was never, like, told I couldn't watch something. We had very different children. I just meet either. Yeah. My mom was like, listen, I'm single, mom. I got four of you.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Y'all do what you got to do. I used to get teased and said I was only allowed to watch Bambi. My mom was like, if the TV is that babysitter. I'm like, how do you even do that now? How do y'all plan on policing? what the kids can and can't watch, given the influx of content. And how you're going to navigate that? Try to keep them off the screens and then parental controls, I guess,
Starting point is 00:23:38 whenever that happens. But I think the biggest thing is, like, I mean, I had a TV in my room starting at, like, way too young, probably seven. No. You know, and so, like, young. Again, my mom was a single mom. Did you have cable? Yeah, we had cable television in your bedroom at seven.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Yes. I remember hearing, like, I would hear home improvement. come on. I'd be like, ooh, I'm up too late. Oh, so did I. You were waking up to George Lopez at 3 a.m. Bro. George Lopez home improvement. I'm, I'm Paul.
Starting point is 00:24:08 That shit. Dude, I remember, did you guys ever wake up in a cold sweat and then recess would just be on and you were like, how did I get here? No, but the George Lopez one. The George Lopez one, yeah, yeah. Sorry, we hijacked that real quick. All right, well, a lot of wives drama out there. We have a lot going on with the Secret Lepardons.
Starting point is 00:24:29 of Mormon wives. I'm wondering if this show is like, is it becoming unfun to follow and watch with all the drama going on in this universe? Thankfully, we have a lighter show where the moms are only fan creators. Never thought I would say that. But the double lives of suburban wives. You know, I think it's one of the best shows on TV right now. A lot of people in the comments thought it was like a little scripted. And I was like, guys, you're missing the plot here. Like, they're new at this. They're new at TV making. That's a skill set. You know, like they have to, these are scenes they're making, but like, the storylines are like write themselves.
Starting point is 00:25:07 I mean, these moms are moms. They're Christian. They live in a small town. They're only fan models. They have all these different like code words for what they do from creator to collaboration. Collaboration to porn star to adult content. It's a whole spectrum. Wait, this is fascinating. That's what this is about. Yeah, such a good show.
Starting point is 00:25:30 The double life is that they're only fans creators? Yes. And they're like small town moms. They do it with their husbands. And like very, very conservative Christian women in Missouri. And this is their like. In a non-freaky way, I actually have to watch this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Like that's fascinating. I have to go Google. I want to see what. In a freaky way. Yeah. In a freaky way, I want to see what the content looks like. I mean, my interest is peak just enough to where I'm like, literally I'm like, I will subscribe.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Like, I want to see what. I want to see what's going on. Yeah. Like, I mean, they talk about it. I mean, definitely subscribe
Starting point is 00:26:02 support small businesses, but like they talk about what they do. They show little like blurred clips and stuff and their show, like it's wild. And none of their kids.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Pretty much, yeah, all of them have kids. Pretty much none of their family knows. I would love to talk to the kids. That they do this. So like they're finding out via this show.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Yeah. Yeah. Wow. It's wild. We have three of the main women, Tammy, Tammy, and Brie on going deeper
Starting point is 00:26:28 tomorrow. We get into all of these questions about how they got started. What does this like? How do they communicate in this? Again, they do this with their husbands? You know, what do their families know yet? How are they, you know, what are parent teacher conferences like? I mean, I had so many questions. It's a fascinating episode. That is all tomorrow on going deeper. It is, it's a wild, it's a wild interview. You've got to check it out. But I honestly never would have thought that like the Suburban Wives show would be easier and like lighter to follow than the secret lives of Mormon wives. Because like right now it's just like we just had Marciano settle his case with Demi. In case he forgot about that, DeMie made some very serious accusations towards Marciano.
Starting point is 00:27:13 He then counters, not countersuit or sued her for defamation. Now there's a settlement. And it's just like, usually when we cover these shows, it's always like, hey, are you team X or you're team Y? And now it's like, how do we, it's like... It's hard to even give any kind of input on it. Like, that's like, to your point, Nick, it's like at a certain point, these topics, well, not at a certain point. These topics are not fun to talk about. And I think that's the point of like reality TV and pop culture is like, oh, we like to have
Starting point is 00:27:43 a little gossip and we like to talk about these things. But at this point, with everything that's going on with, like, abuse allegations, sexual, like, assault allegations or misconduct, it's not like, and that's the reality. of the real world, but I'm like, okay, we don't need to be monetizing off of this type of behavior. Like, that's why I agree with you. I'm like, it's, I'm not that excited about this upcoming season, because I'm like, what are we going to be watching? Yeah. Where something like this double lives is kind of light right now. I'm like, this is kind of, it's kind of a breath of fresh air. And I hope they keep it that way, right? Because obviously with the
Starting point is 00:28:19 theme of the show, I'm sure there's, you know, there's a dark side of every world. And I'm certainly with the only fans and adult content, there's, you know, it can go a certain direction. I hope they don't. I mean, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Like, yeah, we want to talk about real world shit. And it's, you know, but like, it's never wanted to get to a point where you're just like, how do we,
Starting point is 00:28:38 how do you talk about it without like potentially offending someone or, you know, saying the wrong thing or just like having a topic so heavy that no one is just like, you're just like, ugh.
Starting point is 00:28:50 And it's one thing even to talk about it, but even watching it. That's like, think about how dark the valley got. you know, last season. And that was like, that was a fraction of some of the conversations that are going on with these women of secret, of secret lives of Mormon wives. So it reminds me of what's going on with the WMBA, how like they can't even talk about
Starting point is 00:29:07 the WMBA because it's all about the off-court drama. Yeah. It's not even about the show anymore. It's just like, how do you talk about the league? Yeah. Because what goes viral, what people want to talk about is nothing to do with actual basketball. Yeah, I know. And I think about that too.
Starting point is 00:29:18 I think about that in the way that, like, we cover, honestly, like, anything on this show. because there's basketball, like women's basketball specifically right now because of, I mean, honestly, what you were talking about with like the NIL and like the TikToks you were doing. So much of the way people consume both sports and reality TV. Specifically Mormon wives is through this like clips. Clips and like essentially off court drama even in Mormon wives. Like that's what it is. And so it's like you get so caught up in the weeds of this stuff that's like fun and helps you sell into like the show or the show or the. point where it's like we lost the plot. Yeah, and like I'm someone who loves the WNBA drama, but even now, like, I'm like, okay, I get, I get y'all are gay. That's why I'm here partially, but I also like do want to watch y'all dunk on each other. Like, that's the fun of it. And now I eat his can't just trying to make a bit out of everything and it's...
Starting point is 00:30:11 Yeah, and every interaction with people on the court now in the W is like this same thing of like this tension and it's similar in Mormon-wide. That's crazy. Damn. Sports reality cross. Sports reality TV, guys think about it. There. Yeah, it was fun when we were, like, debating whether, like, I forget who it was, but, like,
Starting point is 00:30:31 was Macy a bad friend because she got her hair done at a... No, when Jesse and Jordan brought alcohol to Jen Apple's house with Zach's parents. And that was, like, the biggest drama was like, oh, my God. Give me more of that. They're bringing alcohol to this Mormon household. How dare they? Yeah, even honestly, like, the off-court, like, fruity pebbles drama. Like, that is the kind of, I like that I still am calling it off court.
Starting point is 00:30:56 It makes sense to me now. It clicks. It clicks. Yeah, it's like, that's fun. I think it's like when stuff is happening that's like in addition to the show behind the scenes, it's like a good thing. And then, yeah, I guess we've just gotten to a point where it's just like too much of it is hard to talk about. Not to pivot off of suburban wives and Mormon wives, but I almost wonder if that's why people like next-gen and NYC because it's about seemingly. Nothing actually serious.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Like it's just kids, creating these first world problems. And like, we're all crying about like things that don't really matter. Speaking of NextGen NYC, we have Shy from the cast to break down the latest, hopefully unserious trauma that's going on in that show. That's my parissocial homie right there. He don't know it yet, but you're a big fan of Shy? Big fan. I resonate with him a lot.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Okay. Well, we have a lot of questions for Shy. We'll get some answers. then after shy we'll get into the Let's Mary Harry finale. We'll talk some married at first sight. It'll be a lot of fun. Stick with us. Shai is up next.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Shai, welcome to the show. Thanks for having me. Nice to meet you guys. Nice to meet you. Before we get into all our burning questions, Mary's going to set it up because we haven't really talked a little next gen of NYC. So, Mary, give us the lay of the land and what's the current very serious drama going on in New York
Starting point is 00:32:19 before we get shy and. answer all our questions. Also, you have a big fan in the room, Shai. Jimmy has been singing your praises all morning long. I have a pair of social relationship with you, brother. January. Thank you for watching. Of course. Thanks for being you, bro. All right, Shai, let me know if any of this is wrong. This is my viewer interpretation of what's going on with NextGen. So basically what's happening is we got a bunch of crazy kids running around New York City, right? They're all like trying to make it, trying to do their own thing and obviously there's drama right shy on on your end there's some relationship stuff going on
Starting point is 00:32:57 with you got eva this girl that you don't know what's going on with and then you got ariana ariana ariana beerman daughter of kim zelsiak on and off again with this guy hudson and then you know you're kind of in the midst talking to some other people about it some people get mad y'all go to bravo con and shit kind of hits the fan a bit with some with some tension around everything with all these relationships. That sounds about right. Yeah. Yeah. Is there anything else you would want to add? I think that's what happened. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:30 That's what's going down. Shai, how did you end up on this show? Because a lot of your peers are like, you know, they're Nepo babies. Yeah. No, it's just like one of those New York things. You like come, you move to New York and next thing you know someone's like reality TV. You're like, hmm, maybe. So like it was as soon as you got off the plane? and step foot in New York?
Starting point is 00:33:52 Exactly. They were waiting for me with like a sign. They're like, welcome shot in New York. Welcome, please. As aura. Sign this release, bro. No, my friend, I have like a super cool, wacky friend named Dylan. Dylan Gipe.
Starting point is 00:34:04 We were like friends from way back when I used to work in LA. I met him there. And we hit it off really well. And we kept in contact. He moved to New York to do the show. And he told me he was like, someone's going to reach out to you for an opportunity. And I talked to them.
Starting point is 00:34:17 And next thing you know, I was, there were cameras around. And it was rolling. And then he left and cameras are still up. And I was still rolling. Were you on the fence about also like sticking around having like the one person you were friends with no longer being on the show or were you pretty much, you know, pot committed? Listen, I, of course there was some apprehension.
Starting point is 00:34:38 But like I moved to New York like so ready to make new friends and meet new people. You know, you move with some of your college friends, this and that. But like, it's New York City. Like if you're not meeting people, you're not doing it right. So I was like, all right. let's go good for you bro you immersed yourself and are we regretting it or are we happy with our decision jury's still out on that one i can tell you that no it's fun it's fun it's definitely an interesting experience right like i'm i'm just willing to say yes to a lot of stuff so like that's just
Starting point is 00:35:05 one of the things producers love you you think so he's like i'm willing to say yes to anything i'm just playing ball yeah yeah yeah yeah like shy go talk to him i'm like absolutely no why not were you always like I'm down to do reality TV or was it a situation? Because I feel like what's great about you on the show is you're kind of just like a normal guy that's there kind of like around this. Is that like, do you feel like that's kind of what happened or was it more like intentional for you to like do reality TV? My dream has always been to going Survivor. Like that was like what I wanted to do. But you can't tie to be Survivor if you're not a U.S. citizen. And I'm not a U.S. citizens. When I found that out, it was like the most heartbreaking news ever. Really? So then they were like,
Starting point is 00:35:47 do you want to do next gen? And we see it's like, that's pretty much Survivor without the challenges. And you don't have to starve. Yeah, you get to eat. The social net area is still there.
Starting point is 00:35:57 It still feels like Survivor, but yeah, we're doing it. Do you feel like you're playing like a social game on Next Gen? Like you would on Survivor? I feel like just life's a little bit
Starting point is 00:36:06 of social game. So, I mean, sure. You know, like, I don't know. There's definitely like weird, weird conversations happening. So, yeah. Does it kind of feel like,
Starting point is 00:36:16 shy? Like you're like doing a show within the show and it's almost like Game of Thrones. Because I feel like a lot of this show set up around like competition around get the best deals, get the most airtime. It's very meta in that way. But do you feel that pressure outside of when the cameras aren't rolling? No, I mean, I didn't even right on with that.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I feel like there's like a little sense of and especially people watching some people like, well, this is like kind of all set up, right? And you're like, oh, well, everyone's kind of, and at the end of the day, like it is just kind of who we are as people too. You know, it's just, it is real relationships. We're all kind of just ebbing and flowing with it. So I don't think it is entirely that, like, fighting for that. Like, there are moments where you, everyone forgets the cameras are there
Starting point is 00:36:58 and we're just, like, still in the midst of it, right? So I don't think there's that much competition there for all that screen time and stuff. I think it's just how hot ones play out. It's probably natural, honestly. You're the John Snow, brother. What are your opinions on Charlie? I feel like he's one of the most polarizing characters on the show. It's just like he's always, like, putting his foot in his,
Starting point is 00:37:17 mouth. He's always like getting kind of up a drama. He's like, you know, being attached to crypto scams. And on the other end, there's a lot of people who are like, I fuck with Charlie. He's my boy. He's misunderstood. You know, you don't know the whole picture. Where do you land on Charlie and what are your thoughts? You know, it's funny. I feel like my friendship with him is very, like, I'm really good like compartmentalizing, I guess. And my friendship with him is just like one thing. He's at him and I just have like a really good, you know, flow to our friendship. We just like we chat very easily. We just like hang out and stuff.
Starting point is 00:37:48 And then quite frankly, like, if you watch the season, like there's a lot of times where like, I have no clue what his arguments are about with other people. We sitting at dinner and like somebody like Charlie said this, I'm like, like, when did you say that? Like, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:01 like I had no clue like that was a thing. But him and I just have like a completely separate, you know, kind of friendship going on that's like not really super group. I'm more of like an individual relationship guy rather than like the group dynamic. I don't really like that big group mass mentality thought. So I don't know. Do you think you could trust him?
Starting point is 00:38:22 No. No. But you can't trust most people, you know? That's true. You really can't. There was a guy on Survivor who was on Survivor. I think it was on Survivor, I want to say season 12. He said, love many, trust for you and do harm to none.
Starting point is 00:38:40 And that's just like, I heard that when I was down. I was like, I live by that, you know. Love many, trust you. for you and do harm to none. So Charlie falls in that trust for you category. What if your friend who like you carpementalized that friendship does harm to others in some way or like someone's like I felt like they did harm to me and they go shy, how can you fuck with Charlie? Not saying that that's the case, but in that scenario when you're like, you know, he didn't do that to me type of energy? How do you address that in a friendship?
Starting point is 00:39:10 No, absolutely. It's a great point. It's like as if I'm like, endorsing this behavior, but I'm really not. I mean, like, I think there's a lot of times on and off camera, and it's not fully, like, put it in the show entirely, but there's a lot of times off camera, especially as for the nice friendship, how has evolved that, like, we do have very intense conversations, heart to hearts about, like, what my morals and his morals and where they align and where they don't align.
Starting point is 00:39:36 And it's just, like, kind of figuring out that common ground and trying to see other perspectives. I just think that's, like, kind of what 20s and New York's like. Everyone's going to fuck up a little bit. You kind of have to work around that and just get benefit of doubt and hopefully hopefully you see I die at some point. But overall, you would land on, you know, Charlie, in perfect, but not as bad as some people try to pretend he is.
Starting point is 00:39:58 I don't know, you know. I feel like it really depends on your definition. He is as bad. Nah, he's not the perfect guy by far, you know, but I think, like, for instance, he's had a lot of interesting conversations with, like, Amira and Georgia and all, everything that unfolded there was like kind of very much between them in a situation that they had to figure out amongst themselves and and I don't think it's really my place to like get involved in that that makes sense yeah but they you know they figured it out so slowly slowly yeah kind of like
Starting point is 00:40:31 going into like the bravo con of it all so obviously Riley you and her had a conversation kind of talking about like friends versus acquaintances and stuff and I was just wondering like where like you think you are with the people on your cast now, if you would consider them more like friends or acquaintances. So I think that conversation and watching the show back, like made me realize how I'm a little bit of a naive person. Like I just like, I'm the type that like, if I meet you and I like you, like we're going to hang out as much as possible.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Yeah. People are not like that. People have their guards up. People really just are not really open to like exploring friendships like that. You know, so since filming, since we've wrapped the season, a lot of my friendship have gone a lot deeper in many different ways. Arian and I are really close friends. I will, you know, sing her praises all the time and I have her back as much as she needs.
Starting point is 00:41:27 I mean, we've been supporting each other in many ways for a long time now, and she's wonderful. A couple other people on the cast, too, Ava and I really close, Charlie and I really close. Even Liam and I have been like hanging out quite a bit. So definitely those acquaintances have turned into friends. Let's go. Let's go, Chi. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Are you in Brooks cool? Because y'all kind of got into it at Bravo Card. I wouldn't say we're cool. I would say I'd like to be cool with him. I really would. It's just, it's truthfully, like, we just don't speak the same language. I don't know what it is. Do you think he took what you said out of, like, it was misconstrued,
Starting point is 00:42:01 like he took it out of context? What I said at the panel? Yeah. I think he was just trying to find a way to be upset with me. It was, like, the best answer anyone's ever given on a panel. Yeah, I felt like it wasn't bad. What did you say? So the question was
Starting point is 00:42:16 Who in this friend group Can learn from Riley Because Riley's very Confrontational She's very direct He's like they're like Riley's directness Is something fantastic
Starting point is 00:42:26 Who can learn for that And Brooks Since I've known him Has talked about how he wants To be more direct It was kind of the season one story He was like Brooks I was like
Starting point is 00:42:35 One plus one Equals two This is a great Answer right now Let's do it It was so innocent too I was like this is good. And also, I started off by saying
Starting point is 00:42:45 I can learn from her too, because I think you know, I also wouldn't be more confidential, but also Brooks. And he hated that. And I was like, oh. So bad. Yeah, he didn't call him a criminal. No. Like, so much, like, worst things were said on that panel about so everyone else, you know?
Starting point is 00:43:02 And like, so many worse things have been said on the show about each other, like as friend groups in New York when he's do. And I was like, this is like a small thing. I was like, low-key compliment. Loggie, you're like, I'm on your side. I've been listening to you. He took it as like, I hear you. I want you to know your scene, Brooks.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Yeah. Exactly. And so he took my advice to be more confrontational and he threw it right back at me. It was like, here's my moment. Well, maybe he was practicing his confrontation on you. I know, I know. I'm there for that, though. You know, if you need some practice, I'm there.
Starting point is 00:43:32 I'll be the punching bag. He did pressure you. He does come across his little passive aggressive, Brooks. Yes. I mean, so the thing about Brooks, which I think is phenomenal is that you can feel his aura in a room. And that's a lot of people in this group. You can feel their aura in the room.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Like you can, when Brooks is frustrated, you can, you can feel it in there. When Ava is frustrated, like, when Ava's happy, you can feel the room's happy. It's very interesting. Speaking of Ava and speaking of BravoCon, you kind of, what happened there? This is what I need to hear. Y'all almost kissed and then didn't. And then you went on a panel. What happened?
Starting point is 00:44:12 I definitely don't think we almost kissed Okay, so I'll give you the full The full real rundown from my perspective Yeah Since I met Ava she had this boyfriend And Ava's like one of like The hottest cool as people in the world And then I'm like, okay, she's cool, right?
Starting point is 00:44:28 When I first met Ava I had a girlfriend too But like whatever and then I never thought of her that way Until her and I both single When we started chatting I was like she's super cool And in Vegas at BroberCon I was like I'm definitely getting vibes from this girl Because like I just felt it You know, we were just late night drunk, hanging out.
Starting point is 00:44:45 There was a look. There was a look. There was... It was just y'all two in the room. Okay, so this is my point, right? It was all of... It was the whole group. We were all hanging out.
Starting point is 00:44:53 I was like, I get the vibe from her. Everyone's like, all night's over. Let's all leave. We leave. I text, I'm like, hey, what's up? She's like, hey, how you doing? I was like, should we get one more drink? She's like, would love to.
Starting point is 00:45:03 sends me her hotel number, like, her number at 2 a.m. 3am, 2.m. I'm like, okay. One more drink at 2 a.m.? Yeah. something is happening. She thrown it off the glass for you. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:45:15 And I pulled up and I was like, hey, like, we chatted a bit. And then I, you know, was a little bit too far away from her to ask her this. But I was like, can I kiss you? And she was like, no. What made you think that? And I was like, everything that's happened tonight made me think that. But I was wrong. Typically, and I think the cast would 10 degree, if someone, if a girl sends you her number,
Starting point is 00:45:41 hotel room number at like two in the morning for one last drink. It's kind of a sign. No, I wouldn't say you were wrong. I mean, listen, like, you asked, she said, no, everything's fine. I don't feel like you were a fool for like thinking maybe there's a lane for a kiss here.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Like, it's 3 a.m. You learn more from rejections than you do success stories. So that was a big learning. Do you have any jealousy with Kyle Cook? Okay, so I mean, I won't say that Ava and I's Friendship slash situation does kind of evolve
Starting point is 00:46:16 the rest of the season, especially like after the season. Oh. Okay. And here she is right here in my room. I'd be so happy. I'd be like, no, she's, she's in L.A.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Oh, she actually is in L.A. right now with you guys. Yeah, she's there. Merch. Her and I kind of were in good terms now. I think there was a lot of development and then a lot of undevelopment. Is it safe to say you have a massive crush on Aval? You know, I think that it's kind of been explored,
Starting point is 00:46:44 and now it's kind of put aside a little bit, and it might be, it was definitely explored between us and then Summer hit, and then Kyle Cook hit, and then next thing you know. But it's all good. I'm doing great in New York. Are you about that DJ life? I'm not about that DJ life.
Starting point is 00:47:03 I play in a band, though. I do play in a band. Okay, what do you play in the band? I play the drums in the band. It was actually come to our band practice. It's a aura. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Shire, I need you to give yourself more credit. You got the aura too. I appreciate that. I appreciate that. I feel like this is a, like, this is a relationship that's going to bud from a friendship, you know, and I feel like maybe this is just a slow burn. Wait, what do you mean? Like you and Ava. You know, she showed up to your practice.
Starting point is 00:47:29 That's, my wife wouldn't show up to my practice. I don't know how much I'm a lot of reveal, but like that was our first time, like, maybe a little bit more than a hangout. We were, yeah. That's kind of, yeah, things develop, things develop. You said their summer happened, then Kyle Cook happened. I personally believe, like, when you see a good thing, you don't run to the next shiny object. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:53 If you guys explored and then, you know, she's, she explored somewhere else. And I'm like, you know what? I think then maybe it is what it is and it's done. Close that book. I don't know. That's how I would see it. I would agree with you on that one a little bit. Like I think the door is always a little bit open.
Starting point is 00:48:13 I think we have her and I have a really fun dynamic between us. But there was a little bit of a development there. And then I think that I think what's the part of it was like she was just out of relationship about the time. And I didn't like I didn't want to beat the rebound. You're both young and hot. There's too much long term potential here. I just feel like you need to both make out with some DJs and.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Exactly. If Kyle Cook responds. to my DMs, then that will be happening. But I'm kidding. What? He's leaving him on red? You guys would be watching. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. No, you said we both didn't make out with DJs. I'm like, I don't feel like making out with Kyle Cook.
Starting point is 00:48:51 No, no, I'm having my fun. I'm dating in New York. I'm seeing someone. So it's all good. It's all good. All right. It's fun. Is it Ariana? No, it's not Ariana.
Starting point is 00:49:00 That's see. Speaking of Ariana. Speaking of Charlie. What's going on there? What's the T? There was also development there. And I think that a lot. has happened and now we're in a very complicated but I think they are both in a cordial, complicated,
Starting point is 00:49:16 sort of separate area and there's not a lot of communication that I know of, but things have to heal, I guess. That makes sense. Has any of this affected your kind of bromance with Charlie and Hudson? Dude, you know, Hudson's just a confusing guy, to be quite honest with you. I'm... Yeah, him and Charlie are kind of going back and forth on, in the comments. Yeah, you know, and he called me the other... Yeah, they were going out. And we were dying in our group chats. Like, we were, like, laughing.
Starting point is 00:49:45 So we were all in phase time just, like, sending the gifts on there. And no, I, um, had some call me not too long. I was like, let's hang out in New York. I was like, absolutely. And then he just started firing in the Instagram comments. And I was like, this is not it. So I don't know. I wish the best for Hudson.
Starting point is 00:50:03 And I want to be homies with him. I think this got to be like some sort of. Was I misreading something with that situation? was he trying to set boundaries for his relationship with Ariana without actually being in a relationship with her? You were 100% correct, yeah. Okay. You've been watching and taking notes.
Starting point is 00:50:20 I like it. I fuck with that. Oh, brother, I'm, I padded up over here. He literally takes notes. I started this journey like I was dissecting basketball, so that's what I know. Have you ever eaten at Azaxby's? No. Do you want to?
Starting point is 00:50:33 You haven't. No, I haven't. I've never been to Azaxby's. I've never seen his Axpies. Are you interested in trying a nibblers meal? I like chicken. That's on the menu. Nibbler's.
Starting point is 00:50:45 What would you say? I like chicken. Not, and this is no tea nor should towards Hudson, but like what would your favorite, what would your favorite chicken fast food restaurant be? There's a, oh, that's, okay, so it's not, I guess it's not a chain, but there's a place in New York called Bob White Counter. That's really good. Bob White Counter is really good. If they have a couple locations in New York, it's sick.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Okay. And favorite fast food restaurant? Favorite fast food restaurant? food restaurant. Honestly, I mean, like, I had to take out hiatus because due to the lettuce situation, but Taco Bell was good for a minute there. But that's just because an ex-girlfriend of mine
Starting point is 00:51:22 loved Taco Bell, and she was like, you should try it. And she got me hooked on it. Wait, how old were you when you first had Taco Bell? That's right. You're not from the States. Yeah, that was like two years ago, three years ago. Where are you from? I'm from all over. My mom's Chinese, Swedish.
Starting point is 00:51:35 My dad's Israeli. So I grew up moving around a lot. And then I moved to the U.S. when I was like 14. Because I would say Europe got Nandos and that chicken is OD. Yeah, Nandoz is good. Nandoz is really good. I'm in London right now, actually.
Starting point is 00:51:48 There's like a Nando's like down the street. Yeah. Yeah. Nando's poppin in London. Sorry, Zaxby's. What are you doing in London? I'm visiting my family. It's my grandma.
Starting point is 00:51:57 It's like a big birthday this year. So this is kind of one of our birthday trip for her. Do you have a killer British accent? No, I don't all my family does though. And I'm like the one with like, I'm the one with like, I'm the one with a. American accent. My dad's like a thick Middle Eastern accent. My mom's British accent. What do you call your grandma?
Starting point is 00:52:13 My grandma is called Paw-Paul. She's like Chinese. So it's like, yeah. How old is she turning? 80. Happy birthday, Papa. I love that. Would you get her for her birthday? It's actually in November, but we're not sure we're going to see her in November. So we're doing a trip now. It's kind of an early thing. Yeah. So you're waiting until November to get her a gift?
Starting point is 00:52:33 Yeah, I'm going to get her something November. Tell your OG, we say happy birthday. She's kind of like a, what do you get a woman that has everything? You know, so I'm just going to, you know, flower and stuff. A hug. A hug. Yeah, beautiful. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Pat on the back. Good job, champ. Shai, they recently, you guys recently filmed the next gen reunion. I know obviously we can't spoil anything. But what can we look forward to? What is some, what can you tease for us? Like, do you feel like it's going to be a captivating reunion? You know, I kind of went out there.
Starting point is 00:53:05 I try to leave it all on the paint and I left feeling I should have said a lot more, honestly. The basketball metaphor. What would you have said? So a big, a big topic, a big comment that I get a lot from the people in the group and I got this from Andy to. And I get it from people like DMing me and like people talking to me about the show. It was like a friend to all is a friend to none.
Starting point is 00:53:27 And I think that's absolutely bullshit. I think that I think that you should be kind of nice to everyone. on it. And if you're not going to be, then you're doing something wrong. And if people take that interpret that as you being too faced, then that's their problem, right? And I think that that's kind of a big issue that I've had in this group of that people, I'm just like trying to get to know everyone and just being kind of people take it as like a little bit too nice or like as if there's like ulterior motives. Like I really don't, couldn't care less how many falls you have. Like I'm going to talk to me like you're a decent human being regardless, you know? That's frustrating.
Starting point is 00:54:02 You know, it's an interesting conversation because I'm definitely like, I guess my baseline's probably the opposite of you. Like, I'm definitely like, I have my people and I like, I'm like, if you, you know. But on the same- You don't need any more. I hear you.
Starting point is 00:54:16 But on the same time, when it comes to reality TV, I appreciate your perspective because I feel like sometimes in this space, a lot of the drama and a lot of the, you know, just fights or people forcing other people take sides has less to do with like character and more to do with personal brand. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Absolutely. And I just feel like there's an expectation of people like, you know, it's just like, oh, who's popular? You mentioned followers, whatever, but I think it has to do more with like who's liked in the zeitgeist of the blogs or whatever. And I feel like there's a pressure to like stop being friends with people because, you know, they said or did something that, you know, again, maybe they need to apologize. I don't know. But I do feel like there's a little bit of herd mentality when it comes to like who you're allowed to be friends with and who you're not allowed to be friends with. So I can see how in this space, like, your point of view is appreciated.
Starting point is 00:55:06 100%. No, I think you've got to spot on. I think that this is very particular to reality TV and also what type of reality TV. It's not like I'm doing like 20 women at once because, like, that's like a different thing entirely. You know what I'm saying? But you'd be hairy, you'd be Harry Josie. Our friend, I'd take sides and do this and do that and do that and do that. And then like, it's just a different type of reality TV.
Starting point is 00:55:28 and it's just like very, it is, it is a lot of, like, picking sides and choosing things and, you know, it's tough. Any more questions for Shab before we let them go? Keep killing it, brother. Yeah. Are you guys in the same studio, just like different rooms? No, we're in a different location. No.
Starting point is 00:55:43 Yeah. Wow, you guys are killing it. It's like, it looks great. That's awesome. Thanks, man. I appreciate you. Thank you. What are you most excited for everyone to see for the rest of the season?
Starting point is 00:55:51 Oh, guys. I don't know if I'm excited, but, like, there was like a crazy night on our, on our, we went, on a little trip at some point altogether and there's a crazy night and they kind of do a little recap of the night and I'm kind of nervous about it because it's kind of like a funny drunken recap of the night
Starting point is 00:56:08 and I just say funny and do stupid stuff on that so that's what I'm kind of worried about but it is exciting to see for everyone to see another side of me in a way if you say or do something the fans don't like you're asking for grace oh absolutely yeah
Starting point is 00:56:23 yeah perfect let's just it was a full moon that night and Bravo captured it. Honestly, shy, after getting to know you for like 10 minutes, you seem like it'd be very difficult to be mad at. People find it very easily. Really? That's the point.
Starting point is 00:56:37 You see? Just ask Brooks. Exactly. Yeah. Tell us to Brooks, please. Change Brooks's mind. Am I off base here, guys? Like, he just seems like that.
Starting point is 00:56:47 No, I agree. I clicked. We clicked right away. I obviously didn't know. But when you were like, I'm going to BravoCon, I've done a lot of research. Still don't know what it is. Yeah. I was like, I get this guy.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Yeah. No, you really do feel like one of the people on reality TV, and it's really fun. I'm just learning this word, but you have a good aura. Yeah. So do you guys. I like, I'm with it too. Type timing. Shab, we appreciate taking the time.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Best of luck the rest of this season. Give our boys some grace if whatever you do, I'm sure you didn't kill anyone. Yeah. And no one's accusing you of something illegal, which it's pretty popular. That's a win. Yeah. That's all off camera. That's all awesome.
Starting point is 00:57:27 I appreciate you, Shai. Thank you so much. All right. Bye. Later. Yeah, great aura. I wish I had that. He has a, like the man is wearing a hoodie and it looks on accident but also perfectly
Starting point is 00:57:39 plays. Yeah. He, I mean, his fashion brand. He reminds me of every person I run into in like Hamptons, Montauk. If I were wearing a hoodie like that, Natalie would look at me and be like, what the fuck are you doing? Well, it would just be like, we're like, let's be professional here, you know? Like, you're the host of the show.
Starting point is 00:57:55 But he looked perfect. But he looked cool. He looked cool. Yeah, he looked cool. Yeah. Can I just say, I appreciate you telling him to close that book, that chapter on Ava, because I would like to be the next chapter in Ava's life. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:08 I support that. Is this your, is she? You heard it here first. Travis Kelsey moment. You remember being his best friend stealing his beth. No, no, no, no, but he's nice to everybody. Well, messy. Messy, let's get him on the show.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Hey, we are not the same. What is, do you have a go-to message when you slide? Nah, I really don't. You can't have a good. try to resonate with like a story post or something. Yeah, like Common Ground. You ask a question? It depends, you know.
Starting point is 00:58:34 It depends person to person. Sometimes you've got to make them laugh. Sometimes you got to say something witty. Is this like your side right now? Just putting it out there? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I'll play the long game with this one. Clip it.
Starting point is 00:58:45 For Ava. Yeah. It was gorgeous. She's beautiful, yeah. Have you met her in person? Yeah. Never, never. Soon.
Starting point is 00:58:56 All right, well, congrats to Harry and his bride, Amber. Are they, but are they? Everyone's being weird. Like, we saw him at a Netflix event and he wasn't wearing his ring. He was like hiding his hands. He's like being all cryptic, like got to wait for the reunion. That's giving very Bachelor though. I know, it is giving Bachelor.
Starting point is 00:59:15 In Bachelor, they're like, we're together. And then AFR, it's like, are they still together? Let's bring them out. Look, I keep my ear close to the ground. What has the ground been saying? You know, I was kind of alluding to. I realized I got to be careful. I think I take my platform for granted
Starting point is 00:59:32 because I was posting my thoughts about the show and every girl that was in the house with Harry was commenting. Were they talking shit? He started some drama. Oh, yeah. They was trying to defend their name. They was trying to throw shade. They were getting after.
Starting point is 00:59:44 They were going out in the comments with some of my fans. Like, it was a bit of a war zone. Like, this is my hot take. This is my theory. I almost wonder if, like, because at a certain point, Harry said, like Danelle is ready like she's all in
Starting point is 00:59:56 Amber might not be all in like verbatim he said that I almost wonder if he chose Amber because he knew that it'd be an easy way to just like... An easy out. Yeah the one who said... He knew if he locked in with Danelle like she's not gonna go for that
Starting point is 01:00:09 like all right this was fun for TV let's go our separate ways I feel like Amber going for that except that Amber's already been married so you're getting married as someone who's like definitely like hey I want to get it right this time you would hope
Starting point is 01:00:20 I mean I'll be honest like I've never been late you know, you listen to this show, you know, I have not been in the business of defending Harry Jousie, but watching this show, it's so Bachelor-coded. In a good way, because it's like a lighter, funner version of The Bachelor. But I felt more empathy for, you know, because like being the lead on The Bachelor, it's a nightmare juggling all these relationships. And I feel like a lot of the drama that Harry got himself in or was a part of,
Starting point is 01:00:48 he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Like that scene between Juliana that everyone's talking about the whole like I love you scene. You think that was a rock and a hard place? That was crazy. I was 100% team. He didn't want to be mean to her, but she's like forcing him to say something he clearly does not want to say. It was a forced I love you. He's under the influence.
Starting point is 01:01:06 He's, I think she was sober. He was drinking. I don't know how many times this motherfucker said no. But like no means no. No. I think he wanted to say. I think he wanted her to say I love you. I am so opposite of you guys.
Starting point is 01:01:20 that whole, you're talking about the scene where they're in bed and he's like, you say it first. She's like, no, you say it. No, I literally feel like. No, he literally was like, don't say it. Don't say it is what he was saying. Have you seen the whole episode or are you seeing just a clip? Because if you wanted to clip that scene, it would be easy to make him look bad. As soon as she said it first, he was like, you shouldn't have said that.
Starting point is 01:01:39 You shouldn't have said that. And then he said, no, I'm so opposite of you guys. Before anything was said. Before any I love you was exchanged. You're going to die on his hill. He's in bed. he looks like he's had a few drinks. She, who knows, but she appears less inebrated than Harry.
Starting point is 01:01:55 And it's a whole conversation about like, you know, we're about to get married and like, you can't, you know, she's, she is coaching him into and I love you. And the whole time, he's just like, I don't like, this is ridiculous. There's too many other women. I want to be cognizant of like, I, he's literally doing the thing that we've criticized them so much is to try to at least be empathetic about the other people in the house. and she's like kept and he's like no no no no no and she kept prushing him
Starting point is 01:02:22 and then in her interview afterwards she's like it took him 40 minutes to say I love you but he finally said it I'm like girl if it takes him that long maybe he doesn't mean it and then she goes and tells the rest of the women and causes some drama I agree with that part of it I agree with her spinning it
Starting point is 01:02:39 I also agree he probably didn't mean it if it took him 40 minutes to say it but I genuinely felt like I mean he even admits it he's like she brings out this toxic side of me that's like, oh, he's like, I literally like want to love bomb her and I want to be love bummed back. And he is like, he might be sitting there saying, don't say it, don't say it. But he's not just saying, no, don't say it. Like, this is serious. He's smirking and he's like,
Starting point is 01:03:01 don't say it. Don't say it. He definitely enjoys like the validation and the attention. I think he's uncomfortable as shit because this girl is being like, I, I know that you love me. I know you love me. Just say it. If I say it first, then will you say it? And he's like, uncomfortable as fuck because he doesn't love this girl but he's it's a TV show he doesn't want to make her feel bad no way but he likes if somebody is telling somebody's looking at me and they're like I know you love me I'd be like I'd probably literally be like oh I'm so sorry am I
Starting point is 01:03:31 I literally don't I'm so sorry if I'm giving you that like that's because you're Harry Jousy exactly because he's Harry Jousy and this is his this is his cycle because he's like oh this is exactly yeah he's a flirt it's bringing it out of him but he also wants her to like feel like she still has a chance. Yes. He's 1,000%. But he shouldn't have said I love you. Like he shouldn't have, but he didn't want to. No, I- How are we? I feel like I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. Like I, maybe it's because like, again, like being the bachelor, every conversation you have with every woman is just a game of trying to not fuck up because you're
Starting point is 01:04:11 either you're trying to think of all the other women and then you're trying to think of the conversation you have them with a person in front of you, and you're often being presented with these impossible choices. And I honestly watching the show, my biggest takeaway is seeing Harry try to navigate that, as opposed to being like, fuck it. Like, you know, it's my show. I get to do whatever the fuck I want. And again, like, you know, these are moments where like they're, when a girl's trying to be flirty, your instinct is to be flirty back, you know? And if you're not flirty back, then you're called a dick. And like the, you know, like, if a guy's not making the vibe feeling warm and welcome, then he's
Starting point is 01:04:51 an asshole. And I feel like a lot of the flirty moments, like, yeah, he's a natural flirt, but I don't know how we can criticize. Like, if his biggest crime is he was flirting back and also looking uncomfortable while she for 40 minutes was pressuring him to say, I love you. I don't know how he's the bad guy in that scenario. I would agree with you wholeheartedly if he didn't say it back. if he had sat there and flirty, flirtily was like, don't say, don't say it, whatever.
Starting point is 01:05:17 And they kind of like moved her out because you know he knows how to do that. Exactly. No, but then he goes into his interview and he's like, I said it back because I responded with, that's a statement. That was crazy. You shouldn't have done that. And I felt so bad that that's how I responded to her saying, I love you, that I said it back. He said, I couldn't even get the full I love you out before she was like, like,
Starting point is 01:05:39 He was just like, because I love you. How do we know that Harry can do that? How do we know that he's capable of having, like, direct and hard conversations? I feel like that's his been his biggest weakness. I think that's not what Mary's saying. I love you was an out. He can tiptoe around. What I'm saying, he twirl her out.
Starting point is 01:05:57 As honestly, like, as someone that is also, like, not really good at having conversations, you get really good at, like, flirtily weaving your way out of it. It's pretty, it's actually pretty easy. It's an art form. can take a tangent and run it anywhere to get away from what you actually need to be talking about. But just like watching the body language, like, she was like pressing, press. Like she like was like, like, you're going to say, I'll love you. And he was like kind of in and out of like, do I show her that I still kind of like her?
Starting point is 01:06:22 But then he also just kind of like gave up at the end. That is another thing where I agree with you guys. Yeah, it was like, let me just end this conversation. I love you. Okay, sure. Whatever. Let's get the fuck out of here. I need to rewatch this scene.
Starting point is 01:06:32 You guys are, I don't know. I need to rewatch it. I don't think either of them are back. I don't know. I don't know if either of them are necessarily. bad guys in this situation. I think... They're both...
Starting point is 01:06:42 Yeah, I don't think, like, Harry deserves to get, like, flamed for it. Juliana coming to the reunion with some ammo, though. Yeah. I do feel like that if that was Harry pressuring her, we would be reading it entirely differently. Like, if a guy was just like... I know you love me.
Starting point is 01:06:56 I know you love me. Just say it. Just say it. That's what Sean is doing to Nikki on maps. And she wasn't like, hey, girls, just, you know, like, for 40 minutes, I tried to convince him. She spun the whole narrative.
Starting point is 01:07:08 She spun the whole narrative. He was like, guys, he literally was like, you're my wife and I love you. Yeah. Like, wait, whoa, boy, boy, short, that's not how that went down. That is such a girl thing, though. It's like, you literally spend 40 minutes getting this guy to tell you he loves you. And then you're like, guess what? He was on his hands and knees for me.
Starting point is 01:07:24 I've developed, like, more trust issues from watching reality TV because of like seeing how girls will, like, take a conversation and tell their friends how it went down. Yeah, dude. I'd be wondering, like, so when we're done here, like, what do you want to tell your friends about this conversation? Yeah. Imagine being a girl talking to another girl because you're both doing that. It's the scariest thing in the entire world.
Starting point is 01:07:42 I look forward to having conversations with some of Harry's women on the show coming up soon. But I will say, like, again, with the show being so bachelor-coded, it's just so typical for the ones who don't get picked to, like, get in a group chat and just talk a bunch of shit. Can I ask you a question? Yeah. Do you think Harry might have, like, maybe shot himself in the foot because he knows reality TV so well? And, like, I feel like early on he was just, like, making out with everything. every girl, maybe because, like, in his head, he thought it was, like, good for TV. Like, this is what he's used to.
Starting point is 01:08:14 That's what happens on The Bachelor. Yeah, The Bachelor, they kiss night one, yeah. Okay, I was asked, is that how that goes, too? Well, that's what I'm saying. The Bachelor is such, like, a PG version of the show. It's ABC Disney. It's, like, you know, network television. But even then, like, again, like, you know, it's a little different when it's
Starting point is 01:08:32 the Bachelorette because, again, just vibes or whatever. But, like, when it's The Bachelor, there's, like, kind of this, like, hall pass that, like, the Bachelor is there. to be made out with whenever you want to make out with him. And usually, like, let's, was Joey our last bachelor? Grant, Grant, Grant, Grant. Oh, Grant. Grant.
Starting point is 01:08:47 Grant. Grant. How many, how many girls did Grant kiss night one? I mean, I feel like we could look that up and it would be like, yeah. Yeah. And when like, they get nervous and they don't know what to say, their go-to is to make out. And I just kind of thought it was an hysterical with on, on, on, let's marry Harry, who's like, he's this, like, you know, he's, he's been in all this relationship
Starting point is 01:09:07 drama. and when we're watching Let's Marry Harry compared to The Bachelor, he's like, I'm trying not to make out with everyone, which when I'm watching this, and he's like literally trying to be a boy stout compared to The Bachelor. It was just kind of funny
Starting point is 01:09:19 because even The Bachelor makes out with seven women night one. All those conversations have to, like, conflate at a certain point and, like, remembering what you said to Who, like, that would be a lot to juggle. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:09:33 The names too. And you end up repeating the same things. Like, you tell us five different girls, you're perfect or like you're so easy to talk to. And you're just spamming the same things over and over because you don't know what else to say. Yeah. I also shout out at least he married, quote unquote, or ended up with the woman he allegedly had sex in the shower with. Well, how about the confidants telling like his homie was like, you shouldn't feel pressure to pick either of them?
Starting point is 01:09:57 Like if you don't marry nobody, don't marry nobody. But the girl was like, no, you should choose. I thought that was interesting because I was a team like if you're not serious about marriage, you don't. I agree. Yeah. I actually like that scene as well because I was like, that's a good friend. That's a good person. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:10:13 Like, not that I think at the end of the day, Harry's going to do whatever. He can get an annulment or I don't know how it works, but they can get divorce and whatever. But I'm like, these are normal, supposedly like normal women's lives that are coming on the show. Like don't marry somebody if you're not serious. Yeah. So I appreciate that. I get like probably you might have to for the show. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:10:34 Now that's why I struggle with like how serious do we take. Well, that's my question for honestly, like, all of you guys is when I'm watching, I have such a hard time with reality shows that end with marriage because I'm just like, I don't get it. Yeah. And I want to know like your guys's feelings about going into a show, like a dating reality show where like marriage is on the table. Like, are you viewing that in the same way that like you're viewing that outside of like a contained social experiment? I feel it's more real with like Married at first sight than with Let's Marry Harry. Yeah. I mean, it's very different.
Starting point is 01:11:05 I mean, that's Mary Harry. I don't like anything anyone was like. It's a stick kind of. If she feels like gimmicky. Yeah. Yeah. But like married at first sight, like they're going through like therapy and like it's, it's some heavy moments.
Starting point is 01:11:18 There's marriage counselors and like it's, yeah, it's real. Speaking of married at first sight, shut out. Is it Paul one of the experts? Love Dr. Paul. Mm-hmm. He popped his shit. I honestly like he just, there was that scene where he's talking to. Felipe.
Starting point is 01:11:35 Felipe. And you guys have heard me talk about labels and the way like we use therapy speak. And like I love how Paul handled it because she was like, I feel like I'm being emotionally manipulated, which is like she's entitled to that feeling. And I love how he handled that
Starting point is 01:11:50 because he's like, hey, there's accusations of emotional like manipulation. Let's start here. And he just was like very calmly. And then she's like, well, you know, he says this thing and it makes me feel a certain way and that feels manipulative, which I think, you know,
Starting point is 01:12:05 It was very relatable in a relationship where, like, our partner says something. It feels like, I don't know, they have internal motives, or maybe we just don't buy it. It feels manipulative. And the way Paul was this like, well, do you think he's trying to control you? And she was like, no, I don't, no, when I think about it, I don't think that. And then he went and asked Felipe, he's like, are you trying to control her? He's like, no, absolutely not. And then he was just like, see, like, just because you feel it doesn't mean that's what your partner's intending to.
Starting point is 01:12:29 And I feel like so many people in relationships need to hear that because now all we're doing in relationships is accusing your partner of like all this crazy shit we're learning in therapy and it's just like is so kind of productive and the way dr paul handled that scene i was just like oh my god like i haven't heard anyone like which is crazy like you know kind of like take the piss out of all these like online accusations because it's always like you know someone's like on a talking head talking about the relationship and like and then he emotionally manipulated me and everyone's like oh my god he's emotional manipulator like what a horrible person and it's like no one ever asked if like you know maybe they just weren't on the same page.
Starting point is 01:13:06 I think that was handled very well and professionally. I was like, okay, we need more of this. I guess. I was like, we need more of this, Dr. Paul. When people communicate nowadays, we'll say things like, I feel like you are this when they're saying, like, I think. But because they say feel, it's like, now I have to validate your feelings and your emotions.
Starting point is 01:13:22 Like, the thought is wrong, actually. So it's like, how do I validate your feelings and how you're feeling? But, like, you're actually misinterpreting the situation. It's a tricky. That's interesting. So you're saying, like, when somebody says, I think that you're like, Somebody's accused you of doing something, but they frame it as, I feel like you did this. I feel like you've been doing this to me versus just like, now you're disagreeing, you're invalidating their feelings.
Starting point is 01:13:46 Yeah, but that's not what's the issue. Yeah, it's like my read is this, but I don't know how you felt about it. This is just how I took it. Like, I don't want to put that on you. Yeah. Instead of just being normal about it. Right. So shout out I love Dr. Paul for clock.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Yeah, exactly. Also, love Dr. Paul, not a licensed therapist I learned. Is he just a guy who, like, who is really good at talking? talking about relationship? He's a professional matchmaker. So when he like kind of got on Felipe and was like, you're being disrespectful with me right now, I was like, whoa, this feels- You looked up its credentials.
Starting point is 01:14:15 Yeah, I was like, bro, do you have the right to be going in on him like this? Is that a HIPAA violation? Yeah. But like his partner in this experiment, like she's, yeah, she's the marriage constant, like she's the licensed therapist and all that. But love Dr. Paul was getting after Felipe. I was like, hey, I ain't go like, that was a bit much. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:31 In my eyes, at least. Jimmy, when you get into a relationship, are you going to have a like a, a to-do list of all the things your partner needs to do to make you happy like some of these guys do do fuck no fuck no bro like adam like my girl my girl got a jet ski with me and wear socks but she goes swimming and she got to play pickleball three hours a day like no what do you think are my expectations of you you have to make sure that I am eating like like feeding me you have to like Make sure. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:15:02 No, I know I have lots of jobs. No, I'm saying lettering. You have to make sure I'm fed. No, in terms of like, you know, is there anything or I'm like, you need to do this to make me happy? Pilates with you this morning. No, I don't think so. See? Low maintenance.
Starting point is 01:15:17 That seems pretty normal. Yeah, that sounds healthy. Right. Yeah, you don't have to. It doesn't make me happy, but there's definitely like we have our jobs. No, I get. You're an amazing wife. But like these guys, I'm married at first sight.
Starting point is 01:15:30 Like, is it Sean? Yeah, Sean and Nikki, and then it's Adam and Marissa. And these guys have like literal lists of like demands and requests. Yeah. It seems like a lot of work. You know, it's like at first day of a job and be like, all right, here's your to-do list. Yeah, my thing with Adam is it's just like I'm never like, you can't catch me with anyone that's going to make me join a run club. That's not happening.
Starting point is 01:15:54 You could be the dream person in my life. but if your stipulation is that like you need to do this run club with me, it's not like, you're not for me. It's like marrying into a turkey trot family. Literally. Like I don't fuck with that. Like, no, we're circling things on the catalog and having some hot chocolate. I'm not going for a run.
Starting point is 01:16:14 We're watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and then the dog show. We're not running. Yes. Yeah. I was annoyed that when Adam kept saying, well, you guys should have met my ex. Well, you should have seen my ex relationship. Bro, go get some ex back, bro. I literally was like, why is nobody clocking this and being like, well, why didn't it you guys work out?
Starting point is 01:16:32 Because surely, okay, maybe that's one area of your relationship that worked really well. But there's some other part of this that didn't work out because you're not together. Do you guys think that Adam is maybe kind of like using these tangential things and like the kind of the pickleball, the like active lifestyle stuff as just do you think men on reality? Yeah, men on reality TV. I find they'll like bring up like, oh, I need Michael do Pilates. is I need her to have a butt that's this big. And it's like, bro, you can just say that, like, you don't know if you're that into her. He's also running from something.
Starting point is 01:17:05 Like, like, there was a moment when when Sean clocked him on this whole, like, spamming of vibes. And, like, everything's a vibe. Everything's a vibe because he can't actually articulate. He's a piano guy, too. Yeah. But Adam is, like, in capable of articulating, like, how he really feels about something or someone. He just says everything is either vibes or not vibes. And as soon as kind of Sean clocked him for that, he got so defensive.
Starting point is 01:17:26 He was very defensive. And he started like really attacking people. I don't think it's a coincidence that Sean and Adam like don't like each other. Yeah. Right. You're the same. And they started having like a battle like who has who's smarter, who has a higher IQ score. Like what is it?
Starting point is 01:17:42 It was just like an ego battle at that point. Yeah. Can we talk about, I'm sorry. I've been so team Mecca and Belle Jolie. When he said I asked myself, is she attractive enough for me? And then he shrugged. I literally, I wanted her to get up and leave that table. I'm like, I'm so sorry, but like, this man does not deserve you.
Starting point is 01:18:03 She is such a healed, beautiful woman who obviously has been through some shit. She deserves her flowers, and she's stunning and so beautiful. I was so appalled when he said that. I was like, what is what the fuck is wrong with this man? I want to know who the fuck he thinks he is. Yeah. How does he think he looks? Who is you?
Starting point is 01:18:20 Like, she not hot enough for me. Like, what? Also, why would you say that? Why would you say that? Yeah. I think because he's been told his feelings matter. But he's also, like, voiced his, he has sexual anxiety and, like, they're trying to make steps in the bedroom. That is not helping, bro.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Not at all. Also, it's, like, so much of that is just about, like, safety and feeling safe. 100%. And that takes it out. But then she's thinking about whether she's, like, beautiful enough for him. And, like, that's not. Yeah. I just, I'm sorry, but she has been so ride or die for this man.
Starting point is 01:18:52 She has given him so much, like, emotional support. She's lifted him up Like she has she has poured into him You know what I mean? And I wouldn't be like holding this against him If he were sitting there Giving it back to her and doing the same for her And lifting her up
Starting point is 01:19:06 But like the few comments that he has made About like her physical appearance or her being more attracted to him Versus him being attracted to her I'm sorry but like I don't think he's ready for a woman like her Remember episode one when we met his dad? Yeah His dad was like just screaming red flags
Starting point is 01:19:23 Yeah it's almost feeling like the abel don't fall too far from the tree like true color starting to come a little bit towards the end of the season I kind of hope they don't end up together even though a lot of their time together it's so great but it's kind of like when people are like oh no like when you look back at a relationship like we had so much fun it's like no I'm so much fun yeah I'm the fun one and that's definitely what Adam thinks totally but with her I'm like no like you're healed you're amazing you're uplifting
Starting point is 01:19:50 like you deserve a partner who will do the same for you it really does this show makes you just think about all the like unequal relationship dynamics in the world. And it really, really like points that out even like, I feel like I've just been noticing a little bit more just in like, I guess I'm also like I'm 25 like my friends are all of my friend group and stuff. I feel like the relationships are kind of switching now, right? And it's interesting because it's like before you have like your early 20s relationships of like whatever, like we're just going to fuck around and find out. And then everyone kind of like found out. And now And it's like, oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:20:24 I actually have to, like, see if I am compatible with this person. Yeah. If you have to list your demands, like, you're not compatible. Yeah. Yeah. That's fair. You have to, like, effortlessly... Compromise.
Starting point is 01:20:37 Yeah. Compromise. Well, it's like you have to effortlessly do your part. And by effortless, I mean, like, it's like you, A, you just have to, like, want to, like, show up for your partner. And it's just, like, it kind of, like, organically works out where neither of you feel like the other person is, like, gives more shits than the other person. Now they were talking over the weekend.
Starting point is 01:20:56 And I was just like, I was, as someone who dated a vegan before, and like young, young love, Nick was like, love will be enough. I can do this. I'll make two dinners. And like the first week, you feel like a hero. But like the way Nally and I enjoy eating food together, and I don't mean just like, we don't even have that expansive of palates. Like, you know, we're, you know, we're not like foodies. like the food we enjoy, we really enjoy. And we enjoy a lot of the same food.
Starting point is 01:21:27 And like that's that little moments where you eat and you're just like, that's so good. You got to try that. Right. Like if now and I couldn't do that in a relationship, like going to dinner, like that's our night out, you know, like that's, you know, and that's something we connect with. And it's just like, it's just eating food.
Starting point is 01:21:44 And like if you are in a relationship where you have two completely different diets and you're making it work, God bless you. Because like I just feel like that's such a cheat code in relationship. ships to just be able to enjoy eating food together. I don't know. I just like maybe it's because I just love to eat. And like when I do eat, it's like a really yummy and joyful thing. That happened naturally for y'all.
Starting point is 01:22:03 It wasn't like my demand is you have to eat dinner with me. Well, it's just like a natural compatibility. No, that's what I'm saying, right? Like if you have to be like, well, you're not doing this, you're not doing this. And you have like, I need more of that and I need more of this. It's just like, it's also like if you have to negotiate, I mean, hey, listen, up for an expectation. Right.
Starting point is 01:22:21 I'm not a go. everything. Obviously, that's all bare minimum stuff. But like, negotiating what you, like, there's there's pillow talk and like talking about like post-mortem, like what you like or what you didn't like. That's all necessary in relationships. But like making a list
Starting point is 01:22:38 of sexual requests, like it's a it's crazy. Again, hugging with their nightclothes on. Taking a bath together. When do we start doing mutual masturbation? Like, yo, shardy. It's like, yeah, do I go down now is like, does it, is it time? Are you ready?
Starting point is 01:22:55 All right, I'm going to put my hand on your thigh. Context has been made. You know, in the next 15 minutes, we have a schedule. Yeah, we actually have a whole. How long do you want me to stay down there? Like, just. Yeah. We're going to go in.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Five more minutes. Okay, bad. We have a commercial break coming up, but then we're going to be right back. Oh, you pass me and we have the entire evening produced for your pleasure. If I can color commentate this. Is there a lunch break in between or? Yeah, no, Kraftie's coming. It's fine.
Starting point is 01:23:20 We're going to take five for a quick ad read. No, but doesn't that, it just takes the romance out of it. It's like I feel like so much of relationships now because of, you know, like the internet or just everyone having opinion. It's like you feel like you have to go into something with like a spreadsheet prepared. And it's like you can just figure it out and vibe. That's the fun. Like love is supposed to be organic and like the spark. Like you can't like define what a spark is.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Like you're supposed to just feel it. And like those butterflies. That's actually a hilarious thing. but I played the basketball game with the big three and me and Chad Ocho Sika were talking about like pre-game butterflies and how it applies to love and when you feel that with somebody
Starting point is 01:23:58 that's when you know. Yeah. And you can't just like, I don't know, like get the marriage concert thing, I get like on paper, you two work together. But like there's something that you can't see the aura.
Starting point is 01:24:08 The aura. The joint aura, if you will. The synergistic aura. It's got to be there. I think especially with people like Adam and Sean very very very specific people it's almost like one they should not have done married at first sight because they are looking for something
Starting point is 01:24:26 so so so specific and unless they said that to the matchmakers it's like you can't really get it right and they should have had multiple options but I do think a matchmaker would be helpful for people like this because how else are you going to find somebody if you're so hyper specific like it worked for Cam and so also huge dating red flag that happened with Sean if you're dating someone and they're like
Starting point is 01:24:50 your mom's gonna love me parents love me parents love me she's gonna love me she's gonna love me parents are obsessed with me oh my god your mom your parents are gonna love me it's like you another who the fuck do you think you are yeah it's like and I'm all for like you know be polite and definitely hope that the parents like you like you so cocky and confident about it and like are you performing like what are you doing a bit that's interesting I was like you don't know my mama like Like, my mom are not just going to like everybody.
Starting point is 01:25:19 Right. No, it's funny. I think that people sometimes say, like, I've said that before in, like, very casual situations, but it's more just like, I don't know how they would like me as, like, a potential partner with the person I'm, like, going home with or whatever. But we can shoot the shit. But, like, I can shoot the shit with most people. And, like, fathers specifically tend to love me.
Starting point is 01:25:36 Yeah. And but. Music taste on point. Yeah. And then, but also, like, I'm coming into that in, like, a different situation. But, yeah, it is interesting of, like, when someone is really like, yeah, I'm the right person for your child. And it's like, you don't get to decide that. Your child gets to decide that. It's just giving such a projection or whatever. I don't know. But also, it also suggests that you're
Starting point is 01:25:55 performing. Do you schmooves all the parents? Yeah. Yeah. Why he's so confident? I don't know. Have you met a lot of people's parents? Is that where you're saying that? Yeah, why he's so good at this? I don't know. Being a performing, what y'all think of when Nick started crying when he's self-eliminated? Did you all think that was performing? I did. You did? So did Courtney. Listen, I don't know if he can beat the, you know, he's got the reality TV star rap. So like it's, you know, he's always going to have to face that criticism. That being said, she's intense. She is.
Starting point is 01:26:25 She was like, fucking you cry for her. Yeah, she's like, why are you being such a pussy? Does anyone else think she's way into Adam? When she was like, we'll have to play pickleball. She was like, we'll play pickleball. He shut her down. Early on, she was like, I talk to Adam all day. I know.
Starting point is 01:26:38 I think she's into him. No, honestly, I could see that energy working. They're both hyper. Yeah, so intense. Nobody would want to hang out with them, but they'd be perfect together. They'd live on their little playground island and Adam's jet ski resort. Does she like jet skiing? If they could just make sure they're on the same page about a couple big things,
Starting point is 01:26:56 then they could be a beautiful couple. Because you know Courtney could keep up with pickleball. Like, she'll get after it. Honestly, Marissa and Nick, they could have been a match. They would be maybe a better match. They're a little bit more... Chill? Go with the flow.
Starting point is 01:27:08 Yeah. Wait, wait, I see this. Yeah, they need to swap. Wait, what if there was, you know how there's like, like, 90s? day fiancee the first 90 day married at first sight couple swap yep i support pitch it i see nick and marissa i feel like nick would be game he's you know probably willing to come back nick's game like wife swap at first site wife swap at first site you can pay that would be a match maiden i think that swap would be really good how many more episodes are left is there 20 something
Starting point is 01:27:36 episodes if i'm correct so like we have more to be revealed i heard i heard finale's gonna be stupid really Yeah. I'm excited to see how Adam shows up. Okay. Starting point is 01:28:23 The nuance that goes in when it comes to being a mom, a Christian, and an only fan's superstar who makes adult content with their partners. It is a fascinating world, and I feel fortunate to have these ladies open up about their experiences doing this sort of stuff. And it's definitely an episode you're not going to want to miss.
