The Bachelor really fucked up our schedule with this release on Tuesday. But I think that's it. We love you guys.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Thanks for listening. A lot of Bachelor podcasts out there. Yeah. Also, someone made me this roller skating t-shirt. It's such a good shirt. It's a picture of me roller skating. Thank you. I think it was Angie. Angie did this.
Starting point is 00:03:04 It was her name. I think it was her name. Thank you, Angie. shout out to you fan art such a good one it's so good um is that it i think that's it nikki glaser everybody nikki thanks for coming back thanks for having me back nick i'm uh you're uh i think nik think Nikki is now our most frequent returning guest, which I got to say is something I'm really proud of. Yeah. Thank you. Nikki's on the rise.
Starting point is 00:03:33 She's rad. We have a co-host of Jimmy Kimmel. What is it? Not a co-host. We have a guest host of Jimmy Kimmel. Yeah, yeah. That's what I did over the summer. Kind of a big deal. Yeah, it is what I did over the summer. Kind of a big deal.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Yeah, it is a big deal. Thank you for reminding me. I sometimes forget. It's hard during this time to feel like you're still relevant. Especially, I was living with my parents for seven months, so you forget that you've done a lot in your career. So, thanks for reminding me.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Nikki's doing great things. So, well, thanks for taking the time. Well, this is another one of those great things. I jumped at the chance to talk about, and I'm not saying that facetiously or sarcastically. I'm saying that earnestly. I was grateful that you, I just reached out to be like, hey, how are you? How's your house? And you're like, do you want to recap The Bachelor?
Starting point is 00:04:21 I'm like, it pays to like be a good friend and just check in on people. You get booked. Yeah. Lesson learned, I guess. People? Yeah. I totally agree. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:33 And we, like, we've become, I wouldn't know. It's so weird how you do enough podcasts with people, you become friends with them. Like, I think the longest we've talked has been on podcasts, which is probably even if your listeners are, your listeners are thinking about like their friendships, like talking to someone one-on-one for an hour, that's like a friendship. And if you do it three times,
Starting point is 00:04:54 that's a solid friendship. Yeah. We don't even need to hang out outside of podcasts. And I feel like we're pretty decent friends. Totally. I mean, we have, we have a couple of times,
Starting point is 00:05:03 but not as never as an in-depth. But if we do hang out outside of podcasts, it is immediately familiar. And we work, we only have the rapport of the podcast and then it's, it's. There's generally a segue into the reality based off the things that we talked about. Yeah. Yeah. That's great. I'm, uh, I'm glad that, uh, I yeah that's great i'm uh i'm glad that uh i think this is a great episode to have you on as we kick off the what quite frankly is already turning into a bizarre yeah season and i think a lot of reasons why it's bizarre obviously the the new like the corona right like where they are they're not at the bachelor mansion this
Starting point is 00:05:47 this la quinta resort that they're at really needs a remodel i think yeah i wonder i wonder if their plan from the la quinta is to like let's film the bachelor here and i don't they're maybe they'll get booked by some guests for i don't know but they really need a revamp because it is really hard it's no bachelor in paradise like resort it's definitely motel style i don't know if they were the only ones that would it they went with a 37 year old they went with a 39 year old hotel as well well that hasn't been renovated in 39 years. I don't know. It definitely is a choice, but I like it because they seem to be all hanging out together
Starting point is 00:06:34 and they seem to... Are they rooming together or do they have separate rooms? Do we know that? We know Bennett has his own room. It looks like they might be rooming together. Like two in a room. Who knows? Who knows?
Starting point is 00:06:46 And my guess is that clearly has the space, right? Why not give them their own little rooms, you know? They're not... They don't... There's no... You can make the argument, oh, well, maybe they'll bunk them up and create drama, but that's not where they're filming.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Like, they just go sleep you know like they don't film you in your sleep and there's always you know time away so like i wouldn't be shocked if they have their own rooms because like i don't think there's a space issue at the la quinta they're they basically took over the resort right i'm assuming they have more than 30 rooms at this place. Why couldn't they be in the Bachelor Mansion? Do we know? Well, I think they'd had to, because you can't film a whole season at the Bachelor Mansion. Yeah, because the production couldn't stay there.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Oh, yeah, they need more space because that's all they have. As we know, these dates are also going on at the resort. And you just couldn't. The Bachelor Mansion's not that big. I love the dates. We're kicking off with some good dates already i mean this episode was one of my favorites ever and i think it's because they can't go do a bunch of bullshit that we don't really want to see them do and they have to really talk and get to know each other and I like it. So you liked this. I hate it. It was just eerie and weird. It was so weird.
Starting point is 00:08:08 It was so weird. I had to cover the screen. I was not watching it. It was a horror movie. Yeah, and Harrison's having to work overtime because normally they would be out in LA at this point. They would always do some sort of public date. They would put out an announcement. hey, we're filming this date,
Starting point is 00:08:26 and then the audience would come and they'd bring in some celebrity group or something fairly interactive, and it's like, we're going to go in this real tiny empty storage room, we're going to pull it out, and it's this love language date, right? Because that's the first date. That's how things kick off. Yeah, we kicked off strong. Love language. love language date uh right because that's the first day that's how things kick off yeah that we kicked off strong love language and they're she's like do you guys know what love languages
Starting point is 00:08:50 are and they don't really talk about it right they're like oh the first love language is words of affirmation they don't go like this summary i wonder if they've ever done a love language date before because it certainly makes sense like it's a great it's a great premise for sure totally i think it's a little too early though for that because these guys are being asked to say words of affirmation and they don't really know her that well which is why nikki it's not too early right like that's yeah that's the beauty of the show make them do things they shouldn't normally do having spent. Some of these guys have spent zero time with Claire. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Yeah. So, of course, you need to walk up and tell Claire why you're here. And interestingly enough, like, obviously, like, they, there's edits and they, and then it's like they don't show things. But usually in those types of dates especially if it's just like you have to write a song or the rap dates or or where you they always show this kind of montage of the guys taking a few minutes like claire's will say and chris or claire will be like all right we'll take a few minutes and go think of what you want
Starting point is 00:10:00 yeah but it doesn't sound like that's what this was this was like all right you're gonna tell claire how you feel ready set go um in front of everyone in front of everyone stand up on a little balcony like it's romeo and juliet style and you're gonna tell her how you feel and it's and it was weird because we didn't hear some of the guys affirmations we didn't get everyone's um it was it was dale she really every time dale comes on screen it's and every time he talks to her she's just like please everything you say be perfect like please just she's just hoping so hard that he's gonna nail it and he gives like a he'll give like a c plus performance but that to her is an a it like takes her breath away every time she gets like short of breath and she breathes
Starting point is 00:10:45 heavy yeah but wait before we like analyze the dale and the guys i just want to ask like would you rather have someone like claw your eyes out or listen to a bunch of strange men that you don't know stand in front of you and talk about their feelings for you in front of the other men. Because to me, and I say this having been The Bachelor, that would be my fucking nightmare. I had anxiety for Claire just having to be like, listen to this nonsense of these guys trying to make shit up i know i know that would be my nightmare would it be yours or my nuts um no you but you're a guy i mean like i think that is you're a little less emotional than women are what i it would be uncomfortable for me nick because i would feel so bad that these guys are just probably making stuff up and i'm just like oh this is they don't really feel this way they're just probably making stuff up and I'm just like oh this is they
Starting point is 00:11:45 don't really feel this way they're just trying to come up with stuff it's not really coming from a place of sincerity but I think what they should have done which I think Ben nailed it off the top was just being sincere and not over the top with it and not making up like feelings that you can't possibly have at this point and was just i don't know i like kind of fell for ben in that moment i forget what he said exactly but i like i definitely pulled up his instagram and was like well what's this guy up to yeah and then i said that and then i saw that he enjoys like like debuting his dance moves at like a on a in a in the middle of a dance circle and i was like oh all, alright, never mind.
Starting point is 00:12:26 I was like, I can't be with a guy that is doing the worm at my friend's wedding and embarrassing me. Yeah, okay. Then they showed who else? The lawyer. It's almost like he was reciting poetry almost. I didn't really
Starting point is 00:12:42 even understand. Riley. Riley? Riley. Riley? Riley. Riley. It was like, sounded deep. Also kind of confusing. Too much. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:52 He's very intense. He's very. Yeah. He later gave her the gift. Then it was the gifts. Oh, yeah. So then we move on to the gifts. Oh, speaking of the gifts.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah. oh yeah so then we move on to the gifts oh speaking of the gifts yeah i'm what i'm really curious about is some of these gifts were seemed really sentimental like riley's like the baseball of his last game he's ever played did he play pro was he like drafted i don't know or was it like they didn't really specify if riley's played like or maybe it was this like rec league in his neighborhood and maybe then it's not that important, but it seemed like a real sentimental. I also loved Riley's quote. What was it? Like if, if things, it's something like, if things go bad, stop complaining, just figure
Starting point is 00:13:35 it out. Don't complain. Just figure it out. I love that. That made me like Riley. Yeah. I don't like that. Why?
Starting point is 00:13:41 Because that, okay. First of all, what woman wants to hear don't complain, just figure it out? That is a little- He's talking to himself. No, he's giving it to Claire and he's saying like, that's my mantra in life. So you know down the road in a relationship, she's going to be like, hey, can we sit down and talk about this?
Starting point is 00:13:57 Hey, you know what? Don't complain, just figure it out. Interesting point. He's going to hear that a lot in a relationship. And there's no figuring things out. You can complain. I think when people say the don't complain thing, going to hear that a lot in a relationship and there's no figuring things out it's you you can complain that's i think when when people say the don't complain thing that's someone who's not uh addressing their feelings that's something a dad who's like an alcoholic says to his son like
Starting point is 00:14:15 don't cry just figure it out and then that guy grows up and beats his wife and so i'm not saying that riley beats his wife but i'm saying that i'm certainly not saying that but it's just that shows me a guy who's like just suck it up and. And I, and certainly Claire does not want that kind of guy. Yeah. I guess I didn't look at it that way, but that those are all excellent points. I looked at it for myself, which I do think it's not the worst mindset to have for yourself in terms of trying to solve problems on your own not always you know you know how therapy and getting help is also important 2020 we have to explain our all our answers in great detail I'm gonna say and here's
Starting point is 00:14:58 all the exceptions to what I just said everything as has a huge caveat. The gift thing, I just was looking at this like, Claire has all this trash now she has to deal with. What are you going to do with a little chess piece and a baseball? She has to give the baseball back when she
Starting point is 00:15:19 overcomes a problem. She has to give it back. But the chess piece, they must have been told, hey, bring a gift. Yeah. It seemed odd. They all seemed to have little knickknacks. Bring something sentimental with you. Someone had a box.
Starting point is 00:15:33 She was like, it's a box in a box. And then they just skipped it. They were like, we're not going to get into whatever bullshit meaning that guy. That guy just didn't bring a gift. He forgot. And thank God he had an empty box. I wouldn't even know what to bring. Someone's like, hey, bring something sentimental.
Starting point is 00:15:50 That's where I liked Ben. What did Ben? He gave her the shirt and he was like, it smells like me or whatever. I thought that was cute. Even though it was kind of like, here's some dirty laundry. You'll be doing this for me for the rest of our future. Yeah, I thought that was sweet. But I thought it was, yeah, I just, it was just,
Starting point is 00:16:14 it's just awkward, her opening those gifts. Opening gifts is just always awkward. Oh, a chess piece. Meat. Always have something to eat. Oh, we go. We're not rolling. You put meat in your freezer.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Are we rolling? Yeah, we're rolling. Oh, I didn't know we were rolling. We're putting this in the commercial. I'm talking about ButcherBox, people. There's nothing worse than like being hungry and wanting some meat and then not having it available for you to enjoy. Especially quality meat.
Starting point is 00:16:45 I love good quality meat. Good, thick, juicy meat. Butcher Box, they deliver right to you. They're the highest quality meats. I, last night, cooked a New York strip for myself. I sauteed it with some Brussels sprouts. It was delicious. A nice glass of wine.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Protein can be great. It can be not great. And yeah, it matters. Some grocery stores don't even sell great meat. Quality meat. And ButcherBox does. This is high quality. It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Bacon, steaks, chicken. All humanely sourced, which is most important. All humanely sourced. I can customize my box or sometimes i can go with one of theirs either way i'm totally satisfied with my meat it easily gets delivered straight to your home you're never going to be without meat when it comes to that you don't have to go to the grocery store it's easier to do it at home now each box has 9 to 11 pounds of meat enough for 24 individual meals so if you have a family at home and no one's
Starting point is 00:17:43 going out that's a lot putting Put it in your freezer, people. Put it in your freezer. All meats are free of antibiotics and added hormones. Again, it's highest of quality. It's super convenient. I love them. Never be without great meat again. Right now, ButcherBox is offering new members two lobster tails and two filet mignons for free in their first box.

Don't forget, that's hellobello.com slash V-I-A-L-L. Yeah, and it's weird because right now Claire, when she's really, I mean, it's interesting because Claire in these moments is really enjoying being the bachelorette of being the one and getting the intention and guys saying this to her. At the same time, you know, this it's oh, it's again, like what we're seeing is they're airing Claire's outward expression for, for Dale.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Right now and other seasons, they may not show all of that right now. Part of it is like, it's just so obvious. And then Claire's doing it in front of the other men where like, you know, usually what happens is the bachelor bachelor has a favorite or or, like, and you try to hide it. But other people do pick up on it where Claire's just like, this is who I like.
Starting point is 00:21:12 And then, like, when she's talking about Claire, you know, in her interviews, that happens. Like, that might happen. Or Dale. Dale. Yeah. They're just choosing to air that as opposed to like in other seasons they would just also what i think um happened when you know after he walked in the the first episode and she said oh my god i think that's my husband that may have happened before they just wouldn't have aired it
Starting point is 00:21:38 right maybe i don't know if it's been that blatant but like you just you can choose not to air these things i thought that um what did dale give her as a gift i feel like he could have pulled out I don't know if it's been that blatant, but like you just, you can choose not to air these things. I thought that, um, what did Dale give her as a gift? I feel like he could have pulled out some belly button lint and she would have been like, oh my God. And like cry. Like he could have given her any, I don't remember though. What did he give her? Wait, I know what Dale gave her.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Perfume for the dog. Wait, was it? Oh yeah, it is. Perfume for the dog. Yes. What was that? Thank you for reminding me. You know what that is? You know what that said to me?
Starting point is 00:22:07 What? That said to me is, yeah, these two fucking have been talking forever. He knows too much specific things about those two. Again, I got no problem with it. But it is harder to watch knowing that they clearly have this relationship pre-existing. I did not know that. I don't know this for sure well i didn't even know that that was speculated until the preview for the next
Starting point is 00:22:30 episode which and certainly they have i mean they must have like he's just like your dogs i've been praying for you and your mom like yeah any of these guys could say that and like that's not a you know but like it's just i mean also that makes a lot more sense it makes both of them less crazy you know because right now we're operating under this like they've spent 12 minutes together and they have this deep-rooted connection based off of love of first sight like you know what i'm saying because they've they've literally spent 12 20 minutes together of actual i feel betrayed If it comes out that they were talking beforehand, they're both liars. And it's really not okay.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I mean, honestly, just I get that you break the rules and what are you going to do? You're stuck in a place where you have to lie to make the show work. But her faking, like she was seeing him for the first time coming out of the car, if she's seen him before and met him before it it's really bad it's just like such a lie i doubt she's met him how do you okay how do you compare that to to caitlin and i talking that being the reason why i showed up late on her season but then pointed out hey we've talked like the guys knew we talked i downplayed how much but it was still but you didn't do a phony thing of like oh my god like i didn't even know you were into me
Starting point is 00:23:53 like it's not you weren't you maybe didn't say everything but it wasn't a phony thing of i'm seeing this person for the first time which claire did not say that she was seeing him for the first time or talking to him for the first time but she didn't she gave the sense that it was like that and I who knows we don't know for sure this is all speculation but it just it's just like the I don't know I don't think they would have put it in that review every guy's got her a t-shirt a baseball things they had Dale got a specific gift like you'd give your girlfriend a gift when she you know you're taking a walk and she's like oh my god i like that and you put a mental thought in your head for the next time you need to give him a gift of something they pointed out because why would he be traveling with dog perfume he doesn't have a dog with him that's a whole nother thing but he you know. You know what? It's something that Claire said in their conversations.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Like, my dog's maybe like I want my dog. I don't know. But he did it for a reason. Or you know what? Who knows? Maybe they gave him this thing to give to Claire. I don't fucking know. Yeah, we don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:58 But yeah, that does give an indication that there's been more of a communication perhaps. Then we get to touch oh yeah that was good so uncomfortable it was weird up until dale like the whole here's why it was weird up until dale because like both people are blindfolded yes right so like what was the point of was she supposed to figure out who is who by just holding and hugging? Oh, that's a really good point. Well, she did keep saying, like, I know who this is. Or I think this is amazing that I can figure out who it is by your smell and your touch.
Starting point is 00:25:35 She said it was Dale. She said it to more than one. Okay. Yeah, she did say it to more than one. And then one guy lifted her up, like did a classic Dale on her. I think he tried to like, be like, I'm Dale. Like remember the smell and the feeling that you think this is Dale. And then she was, she goes, oh, now I'm thrown because you pulled a Dale.
Starting point is 00:25:55 But then I think she knew it was him. That was so awkward. And seeing the guys in between watching in the background in between them touching. It was just, all i know is that she had to change those zara shorts after the touch segment i mean that girl was i was turned on watching it was very hot i think it's like that was that was that was a great day they should do that every season wow i think that was forcing people to get handsy with each other just escalates things and um yeah i loved it i'm gonna i want to do it i think it was just like up and but then dale like i'm thinking my
Starting point is 00:26:32 if i were one of the other guys in that situation all the guys are just like this is what it's like weird to watch no she she you know the way you describe nikki how like when you know it's one thing when dale speaks to her, she gets excited. But when Dale came up to her, she was like, heavy breathing. She couldn't. She was just like, oh, well, thank God. And just like, they're right there. They're right there.
Starting point is 00:26:55 And she was breathing heavy and panting. She was legit. There was no doubt she was turned on. She had to go take care of herself. Well, every other. For 100%. it seemed like all the other guys like made the move right they held claire and then she you know went with it and you know and then when she when dale walks up she's like you know like she's like moved in and
Starting point is 00:27:19 yeah and did her thing with him and i'm like if, if I were, like, it's a, I mean, obviously we're seeing this all unfold. We're anticipating, you know, now at this point, it's just like, when does Claire break down? Or when does the show decide to fire her or whatever it is? I know, they're really stretching things out. When does Tayshia come in? But we're seeing, obviously, this build. You know, you just said something, and I have to tell you, I know nothing about what is going to happen.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Nothing. So I don't know who that person's name is that you just said, and I don't want it to be spoiled. Okay, well. But now I know. Well, I mean, I figure this is not going to, this can't last that long based on the previews. The fact that Tayshia shows up at some point is.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Who's Tayshia? Will you explain to me? And I know all your listeners are like, Nikki, come on. Tayshia, do your research. She was on Colton's season. Okay. She was also on Bachelor in Paradise. Got it.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Okay. I think I missed Colton's season. There you go. But okay. Well, I look forward to getting to know her in a couple episodes. Yeah, we don't know when. So, and then-
Starting point is 00:28:31 Can I just say, I was a little- So the preview last week was one of the best Bachelor previews I can ever remember. I sent it to everyone who's- Yeah, the super tease. It was just incredible. One of the best parts of it
Starting point is 00:28:42 was all the men running around La Quinta. And then it was revealed that that was just them going to get gifts. You know when you see a part of the preview and you're like, oh, that wasn't drama. That was just a part of a little, they just have to run back and get changed or something. So I felt like, oh, damn it. That's one dramatic moment
Starting point is 00:29:05 that that i already know what it is the the super t's they're always very good at they're so good um of of making whoever puts those together should be winning an emmy i mean that that's really what this is all about it's it's it was so good um and then uh so wait, now are we into the night portion of the love languages? Of quality time, which is kind of hysterical when Chris is like, now you're going to get quality time, which for all you know is six seconds or five minutes, and we don't really know. But it starts with Claire, you know, as these cocktail group dates go, the guys are sitting there. Claire will walk in and sit down, maybe give cocktail group dates go, the guys are sitting there.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Claire will walk in and sit down, maybe give some speech or whatever. And sometimes it's early on, the bachelor or bachelorette will just sit down and then someone will grab them, right? Later in the season, Claire will, like, have something to get off her chest or Tayshia or whoever, I don't know. And sometimes it's like, hey, can I talk to you? And they'll make the first move. But Claire sits down and no one really does anything, which is not really a big deal at all. This happens a lot. There's always a lot of confusion.
Starting point is 00:30:17 It's early on. These guys, it's their first date. They don't know how this shit fucking works. Yeah. Right? They're just like, maybe. They were waiting for Chris Harrison to come in and give them a card to tell them what to do or for her to set the stage yeah who knows he took it personally but they they all didn't make a move because they didn't know what was
Starting point is 00:30:32 going on it wasn't because yeah and we don't we don't know how long they sat there we don't know but all of a sudden she's like hey someone to is someone going to grab me? And then as soon as it happens, like a bunch of guys suggest they want to. Bennett does. They go walk off. And kind of, you know, when Claire has said this before, when Claire has something on her mind, she just fucking says it. Like the world stops. She just puts it out there to the point where like mid-ennett conversation she's like i gotta go do something she doesn't like say bennett hey listen i'm gonna address the group why don't you join me he just
Starting point is 00:31:10 apparently is there for the rest of the night for all we know she just leaves him in this room she comes back out she just kind of yells at the men they're all kind of confused kind of being like i would be totally confused i would say well we didn't know what was going on we didn't know that we had a chance to to ask you that's what i would have said which essentially they do and then yosef tries to speak for the group which which is like no okay i'm not a yosef fan by any measure i don't like him at all i think he's the one that says the thing like yeah i think he's a little that says the thing. Yeah, I think he says. Well, Bachelorette, because I paused it and I zoomed in on it.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yeah, it looks like him. It's him. However, when you say, when I speak for the group, it's just a turn of phrase. He wasn't actually saying, it's just a thing he said. He wasn't really saying that. And then they all ganged up on him for that. And I just thought that was a little extreme.
Starting point is 00:32:04 I totally agree with you. It's like, I you yosef yosef whatever i think his name i think he probably sucks yeah i agree with you however you're right like he just he has a poor choice of words in these stressful environments and he got attacked for something he probably didn't mean anything by and the way he was saying it is like kind of to your point is like hey this our explanation is obvious it's such a no-brainer we don't know what the fuck we're doing yeah yeah i hope that's okay for all of us to say because we've never been here which is what he was trying to say riley very intense as you suggested yeah is this like i don't want anyone ever speaking for me.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I would have been like, Riley, don't complain. Here's the thing. Figure it out. Here's the thing. I totally agree with you. I can also see myself saying that.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I also can see myself being Riley, especially, and we don't know this, right? They've been hanging out for a couple of days. Yosef seems like he just says things that are annoying and i could see myself already decided that this guy sucks so as soon as he's like let me speak for the group i would have been like the fuck like i could definitely see myself saying what
Starting point is 00:33:17 riley said i mean i see both sides totally and then there was one guy i forget who did it but it was you know yosef said i speak for the group gets attacked and then one guy goes you're crazy if you think we're not all here for like first he said you're crazy and i was like oh no i totally don't do that i totally picked up on that and again he didn't mean anything by it but as a last thing you want to say to claire she picks up on the smallest details and then locks in and then creates her own interpretation of what she thinks you meant by that yeah and uh i'm actually shocked that she didn't like go send him home like lean in on like i know because i did i've i've i've started to feel like I think like Claire might think,
Starting point is 00:34:05 like instead of like what would Jesus do, like what would Claire do? Like no matter what. All right. Like what would Claire do if someone says something like this? And she didn't. She kind of chilled and kind of said her piece. And then obviously Dale's just like, babe, hey, I'm sorry. Like if you want me to save the day i got you and this like
Starting point is 00:34:26 kind of ignores the rest of the men walks her off like a loving caring boyfriend would do who like knows this person meanwhile bennett's still sitting wherever bennett is completely uh just you know hanging out wherever doing a face mask i don't know and uh yeah loafers yeah it was um that was really weird and she obviously is triggered by that by feeling like these guys aren't really here for her or there's that they there's some or maybe she's you know what i think it was i think she was upset that dale didn't say something right away. You think so? And it was like she lashed out at all of them because she was like,
Starting point is 00:35:09 because right before she goes into the date, she's like, I'm not going to lie. I'm really excited to spend alone time with Dale. And so I think that she sat down and was like, come on. And that anger was percolating as she's talking to Bennett. And then she couldn't let it go and then she lasted at all of them, but really it was about Dale and then Dale swoops in and everything's fine.
Starting point is 00:35:29 That's interesting. I mean, it's, you know, again, Claire is, everything she feels and that she's expressing, I relate to all of it. It's actually all just natural feelings that every bachelor, bachelorette has. Like you have a real fear of like i hope these people like me i have like a whole season like and that all happens
Starting point is 00:35:52 you just don't get to see uh the bachelor bachelorettes usually react in real like they they kind of this like maybe say this to their producer off camera i'm like i hope they like me and just kind of go along with it claire's just like showing all in emoting in front of the camera in real time and you know as i kind of hoped and expected it would be it's been so far entertaining to watch yeah there's that's interesting you don't often see the main one the bachelor bachelorette being insecure about but they all see like yeah oh you have to be i mean it's because there are people that sign up for the show just to get on the show and they don't know who the person's going to be when they sign up or that you know there's a million reasons why people could do it so i could see i could see that being a real
Starting point is 00:36:40 fear and um and and honestly she finds out that some of them really don't really care or know her and are just you know it's it's hard what she finds out and she's not she's not scared to call them on it which i would be so i feel like you're referring to uh we can jump ahead well i think you're referring to brandon yeah who she sent home so i was also confused by. Okay, well, let's wait for that because I have a lot of thoughts, but I don't want to jump ahead too much on that. So wait, that date just ends, right?
Starting point is 00:37:14 So that's it. Love languages, kind of an eerie vibe. But it's the first time that Yosef shows signs of not really caring for this Claire claire who stands up for herself and humiliates these men that's when you start to see him go well i don't like this and that was that's interesting he referred to yeah yeah no he definitely sucks it's pretty clear and then riley gets the group date rose, right? Oh, yeah. Riley got it?
Starting point is 00:37:46 I forget. Yeah. Did Riley get it? Yeah. Did she say why? Hi, I can't give all my roses to Dale. She's probably like, you gave me a baseball that meant so much to you that I'm probably I think she kissed him for the first time, too.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Yeah. I don't know. Early group date roses are fairly meaningless. Okay. Good to know spoiler alert um all right so then we are into the first one-on-one and that one-on-one goes to jason yeah which uh interestingly enough she's in love with dale former nfl football player and then she her first date is a also the only other former nfl baseball football player these both both dale and jason like legit played
Starting point is 00:38:33 in the nfl these aren't this is not like i didn't know that okay this is not like i i got almost made it or kind of made it like these guys had like i think jason for a while and dale like dale wasn't a long time but dale like has played in some real games and like he has a touch like he's incredible feats i guess and just side note side note as a football fan currently no playing they're young guys though okay well i mean the nfl like 30 is considered pretty old. But Jason... Jason, interesting guy. He has this very, you know, big, tall teddy bear vibe, right?
Starting point is 00:39:12 Does he not? Oh, he totally does. He's so cute. He seems quiet and sweet and it works for a guy... Yeah, it works for a guy who's like I'm assuming super tall. He mentions he's lost a lot of weight. He was a former NFL offensive lineman.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Those are big guys. So like the Demir soft thing works on him because then it comes across as a teddy bear, you know. And so they have this date. And again, these dates are all overly simplified because they're stuck at La Quinta. They can't do a ton. And this is all about just getting things off your chest and opening up. This is a great first one-on-one date. It always kind of,
Starting point is 00:39:54 everything you're seeing now is all about like setting the stage. We're like training the men. This is what it's about. Like Claire, like there are no rules. Let's remind those. There's no rules. Let's get things out
Starting point is 00:40:05 in the open let's get things off our chest like we need to start talking so like all these is this is like this is like bachelorette boot camp for the guys of like this is how we're going to fall in love because we're going to open up and express ourselves so this whole date is about getting things off their chest i can't with this this date. Yes. And it's about, it's crazy. I mean, can you imagine going out on a date with a girl that you barely know
Starting point is 00:40:32 and before the date she goes, by the way, write a letter to your younger self and we're going to read it to each other. I mean, this is some real, this is stuff that I wouldn't even do with my therapist yet
Starting point is 00:40:44 and I've been seeing her for six months. Like, you work to this. So this is some real, this is stuff that I wouldn't even do with my therapist yet. And I've been seeing her for six months. Like you work to this. So this is very, I, I, God love Jason for doing it and for sticking it out for, for this date, because this was extremely difficult to do. And he's obviously has a lot of stuff he's struggling with. And I just thought this was one of the coolest moments in in bachelor bachelorette history of seeing someone actually like i don't know go some places they've never gone before i think he actually made a breakthrough it was a weirdly meta in a sense because sometimes when
Starting point is 00:41:19 i watch these i'm like kind of half paying attention and try to get the notes. And then sometimes I realize I might miss some detail, but what I'm pointing out is I'm watching this. Right. And Jason, his delivery is great. Right. He, he sounds like he's struggling saying these things in which to your point,
Starting point is 00:41:39 that makes sense. Cause this is kind of insane that he's supposed to open up not only in front of a stranger that he's trying to get to know, but you know, there's an entire camera crew around him. So there's kind of insane that he's supposed to open up not only in front of a stranger that he's trying to get to know but you know there's a entire camera crew around him so there's there's that i know she's like you can trust me with this tell me anything and i'll accept you and he's like what about millions of people watching i won't tell anyone except me yeah i won't tell yeah yeah it was like and who's say, why would he give you this, these, these traumas of his life when you could eliminate him tomorrow? Like there's no, there's no reason he should trust you. I thought that that was kind of, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:16 That was too much. I was like, Jason, don't tell her. Don't tell her anything. What's fascinating and almost meta is that what he owns up to is that he's been described as manipulative, insecure, hard to love, selfish, cold, and mean. And he has a tendency of, whether it's in reality or their perception, that he is a player. Yeah. And in the nicest, most lovable way possible, he is just like i i just hook up with i like to fuck chicks and um i loved it i kind of so you're so it worked for you because like so into jason i'm like maybe that that well clearly he shows how good he is at manipulating because no matter what he says
Starting point is 00:43:02 it's like have you seen men in the three men three men and a baby way back in the day like a million years ago where tom selleck is reading to the baby like the sports illustrated and he's like it's not what you say it's how you say it and and and jason is a perfect example of like say whatever you want no just say it in a like way that like i just i want to be no i see we always disagree on this nick you always like and and you might be right like you always when whenever i'm like in love with a guy and i'm like i think he's real you're like he's he's full of shit and he's this he's telling you he's manipulative and he's being manipulative which you're probably right i hadn't even considered that but to, which you're probably right. I hadn't even considered that. But to me, if you're someone who has been this way in relationships,
Starting point is 00:43:47 is manipulative, has been like, you know, a player, probably cold, all those things he described himself, what if he's willing to make a change? Isn't that the first step? Like, I've been these things? I don't know with Jason. You're right. Like, I will, to Jason's credit and to your point, he did say some very honest and very real things.
Starting point is 00:44:07 And to me, that is good for him. I just think it's kind of funny and ironic that technically maybe he's just that good. Sometimes these guys go on the show and they make it sound like they're saying something of substance, but they're not. And then I'm like, you suck. They say a bunch of cliche things. What he said is not cliche. they make it sound like they're saying something of substance, but they're not. And then I'm like, you suck. You know, they say a bunch of cliche things. What he said is not cliche. He said some real honest things.
Starting point is 00:44:31 It's just, I like, it could have just been another manipulative manipulation tactic. I don't know. I'm not saying whether it is. I just think it's kind of, it's an interesting point. And I definitely hear you. And I,
Starting point is 00:44:43 I would not have even considered that I'm just like oh my god He just released it now it's gone he's never gonna Manipulate again I 100% agree with Nick Really? This guy says he's manipulative insecure Cold and mean and she reaction is like Oh yeah just let it out
Starting point is 00:45:00 It's fine And my reaction was like Red flag Red flag everywhere he's changed like because that is the type of guy i go for too is like i can i can get through to him he's he's closed off and so i think i'm just like horny for those things and uh and um listen maybe jason's a good guy but it's entirely possible and this happens all the time that he changed this happens all the time where someone like jason opens up pretty early on even if it's on possible, and this happens all the time. I think he says that he changed from coming on a TV show. Where someone like Jason opens up pretty early on, even if it's on the show, and they speak their truth. And their truth is like, I want to be better, and this is what I've done.
Starting point is 00:45:35 So A, I'm going to warn you so that I can tell you, I'm going to say I was honest to you from the beginning. And B, I'm going to make you want to fix me. Yeah. Yeah. So you're. I don't think he's that smart i mean i don't like i don't think it's that smart to be that or that evil as a football fan i can tell you that often the offensive linemen are considered some of the smarter players in the nfl he's definitely intelligent, but I just, I guess I don't think he's like Machiavellian like that. Like he's like, I'm not saying he is,
Starting point is 00:46:08 but he might be, but he might be, we might see that. All I have to say is like, I, for the first time watching the show, the bachelorette, I'm looking at the guys in a different way of like,
Starting point is 00:46:19 Oh, you know, there's going to be a lot of scraps after this season. Cause I know who is going to get like, there's going to be a lot of guys that this season because I know who is going to get, like, there's going to be a lot of guys that aren't chosen. I could do some sliding and some DMs. I always like, you know, guys that are on reality shows because I feel like they're just like open and like kind of like comics in a way.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Like they just put it all out there and I just respect that. And I'm watching all these guys with a different eye than I have on past seasons because in the past seasons, I'm like, I'm too old for all these guys. But now I'm like, I'm a little baby seasons I'm like I'm too old for all these guys but now I'm like I'm a little baby I'm 36 oh a young lady yeah they're all vetted as liking um a mature woman and I like that about Jason's 31 so he's like in your age wheelhouse he's tall
Starting point is 00:46:57 he's definitely taller than you um and he might um be you know someone you can try to fix. Yeah, I'll try. I will. He got fixed. He threw that tile into the rocks. But also Jason is also someone. At first, I thought it was going to be for sure Blake, but Blake might burn out sooner than we expect.
Starting point is 00:47:28 But I've always said with these Dale rumors, the hope is there's going to be at least one other guy that falls really hard for Claire and is kind of like the sacrificial lamb of... Well, most of these guys are like, well, she fucking likes Dale, so what the fuck? There's going to be one other guy other than dale's it's like who's getting enough time with claire to to develop these feelings and like the first one-on-one obviously it's always big in every season now now jason more than anyone even dale has had more time with cla. Right? Yes. He burnt her dress. But Jason's date with Claire was not romantic.
Starting point is 00:48:07 It was like two friends hanging out, like close friends. Did they make out? Did they kiss? Did we see a kiss? They did kiss after she burnt the dress, wasn't it? I don't remember. Maybe, but the fact that we,
Starting point is 00:48:18 all three of us can't remember is indication that there was not a lot of chemistry there. I mean, that's because of Dale. I mean, because's because of Dale. I mean, because that's true. It's just a Dale thing, right? You're absolutely right, Nick. I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I think Jason has now opened up to her. He is falling in love with her or the infatuation that has begun. And also, what's his name? The guy she kissed on the first night. The one who breaks the rules. What's his name the guy she kissed on the first night the one who breaks the rules what's his name again blake no like yeah blake is a smitten kid i mean he's gonna get hurt we'll get in the blake so yeah so we have a date now we're in the third the third and final date i love a good dodgeball great game just side note i think dodgeball is a great game.
Starting point is 00:49:10 So this is one of those classic, you know, Chris is like, hey, winning team gets a stay. You never know if that's going to actually hold up or like on my season where I was like, just kidding. And that creates a whole other dramatic thing. Claire, before they start, ups the ante. This is always, it's been fun for me watching claire because like listen sometimes you know maybe a producer might go to claire and say hey like why don't you maybe throw a suggestion and whatever like but again claire has shown that
Starting point is 00:49:37 she's very comfortable with just deciding things and for all i know that was claire's idea and no it wasn't you probably know but not a million years but she does why would they all have those little things oh you're right uh it was pre-planned you're right so yeah they have these matching color jock straps uh which you're right it wasn't claire's idea based off of that alone um and uh but claire you know suggests to them and like it always sucks for someone like claire in that situation because they i don't know if they aren't as smart as you knowing they got matching jock straps but like it's like claire gets the blame for the idea the lead gets blamed for the idea where like i might like like i didn't want this fuck i'm just what you know so they start playing
Starting point is 00:50:25 um and then one team dominates and the guys are sports about it for the most part right they're all like i loved i loved how the end and it seemed like when it end ended the the losing team is down to this jock strap which so their asses are if you're not familiar with the jockstrap you have straps on your ass so your ass is exposed and your and your junk is covered right it's like in a like how much of their junk were we seeing because it's all blurred they do that for effect but which interestingly enough it seemed like it was done unprompted half the guys are like, you know what? I'm going to fully embrace this. Like you told me, technically you said naked.
Starting point is 00:51:10 And like half the guys took their, got totally naked, it seemed like. And it's just like, so which guys are like, you know what? I have a giant cock. So this, I'm going to use this as an opportunity to just put it on showcase. A couple other guys just like, I know I'm not saying that's's the reason but you makes you wonder which guys for like you know and then you begs the question who are showers who are growers you know like we don't really you don't really um but half the guys it seemed like got totally naked yeah a couple of them i feel like i saw one for sure but i was wondering how much she could see from the jockstrap.
Starting point is 00:51:46 And is it like, if could you even see how big it is in a jockstrap or is it like, it's like, it's a cup, right? Like it's like a hard cup. So it's not like you had a big dick. It would like show more than a small one.
Starting point is 00:51:58 It's like a, a standard size, a little, little jockstrap tutorial for other. Please. You're referring to what is an actual cup that baseball players, or maybe depending on the sport we'll use, where some jock straps are made where they have a pocket, like a kangaroo,
Starting point is 00:52:13 and you'd put a hard plastic cup in there to protect your balls. But a jock strap doesn't always have the cup. It's just a, in lieu lieu of underwear it's supposed to keep the jock intact which quite frankly i never understood the point of a jock strap without a cup but your your ass is fully exposed so you shouldn't you wouldn't see the the cock and balls without taking you know the cock and balls are still covered up okay all right i'm wondering how balls stay in but the ass i mean the, the, the round where they're playing in the jockstrap, there's a lot of bending down and bending over.
Starting point is 00:52:49 That's all like, that's all there. That's all wide open. It's all in the breeze that they did it. And yeah, it was, that was, that was interesting.
Starting point is 00:53:00 And then she hugged them all as they left. And would that turn you on claire seemed to turn down i appreciate that claire has no problem just being like i'm i'm horny i like uh yeah she's very horny i but i like uh i like a guy's butt so i would like to see a bear butt i think that would be very cute and um like i would totally be down for that yeah that would have that would have been cool but i i don't know i would have felt very uncomfortable asking guys to get naked um if i were claire and that what you said about how the producers will come up with something and they're like now we're going to present this as your idea so now it looks like she's the one that's like you have to get naked and now you
Starting point is 00:53:36 know i can just already hear the argument of like if this happened on the bachelor and they made the women get naked oh my god what would that like that would never happen however could you imagine that to happen could you imagine great i mean the double standard and again i have no problem i mean it's ridiculous yeah it would never happen and chris harrison being like would you like what you see can you imagine him saying that to a guy and being like yeah like it and it's almost i i kind of was thinking that, and I was like, it's a shame that that couldn't happen. Like women like to show off their bodies too. I mean, and, but I think it should have, I don't know. It's, it was, I felt uncomfortable and I would have loved Yusuf to, to have been on that
Starting point is 00:54:16 team and been like, no, I'm not doing it. Like I wanted one guy to be like, no. Yeah. No. It, that I, I, I, I'm sure the producers do too. Um, I know they're like, damn it. Yeah. We should have put sure the producers do too. I know, they're like, damn it. Yeah, we should have put Yusuf on there.
Starting point is 00:54:33 So, yeah, the losing team does, in fact, go home. They kind of stick to their guns on this one. And it's the beginning of Blake kind of melting down. All the other guys are like, all right, this sucks. And Blake, again, Blake's at a disadvantage because from the night one, Blake loves hard. He went for it. He cheated. Claire said, you know what?
Starting point is 00:54:53 There are no rules. And thank you. That meant a lot. That meant a lot. And now Blake's like, I've got this. I'm in. She likes me. And to Blake, in fairness, he's not as crazy as he looks because
Starting point is 00:55:07 all he is is someone who's like already taking this more seriously than the other guys and the other guys aren't disingenuous they just have no reason to take it seriously right like blake has been validated by claire and now he's into it Like it's just human nature. Like anyone would do this. Like you're, you're not wrong. She definitely encouraged. She complimented him for his tenacity and breaking the rules when he reached out to her about her mom.
Starting point is 00:55:34 And so he's doing it again. And he also read into the, have some balls. Like there were a lot of things that kind of nudged him to, to make that decision. And, um, it was, uh, that was awkward yeah so so blake
Starting point is 00:55:47 blake you know because you know the truth is it sounds like these dates are going on like across you can see it like unlike in a normal bachelor setting they're there could be hours away you have no you don't have any access to do this but they're like everything's there so like yeah i don't know why don't you you know, so Blake goes over and he interrupts, um, Jay's time. And I, I get why Jay's like,
Starting point is 00:56:09 wait, you're not even supposed to be here. This is, then let me go back. Jay's response. Didn't you lose? Yeah. Didn't you lose?
Starting point is 00:56:14 I love that. And then he stands there. Yeah. Um, and I get both sides. Claire's like, thank you. I was in the middle of hearing about him starting a gym.
Starting point is 00:56:22 And I was, I could, I was out of things to say. Cause I said, I love that 14 things to say. Cause I said, I love that 14 times. Yeah. She was like, it's so funny.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Whenever someone crashes a, a thing or like something like this happens, you get to hear a snippet of conversation that would have normally been cut. Cause it's so boring. Do you know what I'm saying? Oh, totally.
Starting point is 00:56:40 So that was like, that was a little glimpse inside of like what most of this convert, these conversations are like, which is just nonsense. Awkward first date banter. Yes. And, and if you're a bet and if you're Claire, you've had this conversation 15 times. Right. So yes.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And then, so he stands there, he taught, Jay goes back, tells the guys, the guys are like fucking pissed. They show up as a group, which is kind of kind of new you know as like a united front and kind of more awkward which i mean i guess whatever you know like you know in the sense that like they're i don't are they are they there to like save claire or i don't i hear i and claire was great here because they come up as this like i don't know if they were trying to intimidate blake or what and they're like complaining and then claire's just like hey guys just give me a minute and uh even like easy it's like oh yeah yeah sure yeah
Starting point is 00:57:35 yeah totally i mean we're just you know they totally back down which i really love like claire's very good at you know i'm the bachelorette and managing things and really Claire's very good at, you know, I'm the bachelorette and managing things and really speaking up. She's doing a great job, you know, killing that. I think now they're all so scared to not step up because they've heard rumors of what happened the night before when none of them stepped up. So I think when one guy's, I'm going to say something, they're all like, yeah, me too. And so I think now they're they're just all this i think she's if the season continued longer i could see just all the wheels falling off of like any time they're sitting down in a room
Starting point is 00:58:12 for to set the stage for anything they and you see it later on you see one guy remember later on um which after after this whole thing with uh blake later that night, a guy steps in right away and is like, I want to steal you. Like, they're all so quick to get up now. And she goes, sorry, now I have to get Blake. No, she's, yeah,
Starting point is 00:58:32 she's really good at kind of teaching these guys how to make a good TV, quite frankly. Yeah, it's funny. So, yeah, and then, well, before, like, Blake, I mean,
Starting point is 00:58:44 and he grabs the back of her neck to go in for a kiss and claire he doesn't like try to go 90 10 he's like all right i'm gonna kiss you now and like grabs her right like am i he did that yeah yeah grab the back of her neck it was a fairly aggressive it was not a good look for him i don't mind going in for a kiss it's not the going in for kissing getting rejected good for him for trying but he really like grabbed her and he had no reason to think he could or should grab her it was like a really weird yeah i didn't pick up on that as much as i but i now that you're saying it I do recall the grab from that I think she probably liked it I don't I don't mean to you think she liked that
Starting point is 00:59:30 she seemed very definitely said stop and like no but I think it's stuck in her head like wow Dale she would have been like hey babe like I appreciate it but like I don't want to get in trouble with these guys but like let's like hump for six seconds yes like she didn't want to kiss Blake no she these guys, but like, let's like hump for six seconds. Yes. Like she didn't want to kiss Blake.
Starting point is 00:59:46 No, she's, she's not into Blake. We can just. So, but then the cocktail party starts and wait, I, I, I was, I wasn't sure what to do, but let me still validate this behavior of you taking risks and breaking rules and pissing off the rest of the guys. I'm going to give you this rose. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Great.
Starting point is 01:00:05 Did not see that coming. I really did. After she rejected his kiss, I thought, man, this guy is going home. And so did he. I mean, you know he did not sleep that night. And then she goes out there and she's like, listen, you're on the right track. You're doing exactly what you should be doing. And again, is telling him breaking the rules.
Starting point is 01:00:23 He's so fucked. Oh, my God's he's screwed i mean but i was so i was so happy for him i was like oh good he's no it's the worst thing for him he doesn't know it yet and it feels so good and it's just the guys are gonna hate him he's gonna feel more emboldened and more empowered to take risks claire doesn't really like them and it's just going to end very tragically for Blake. But I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:00:50 What do you, what are you going to do? And then we get to Brandon, which I felt for the guy. I mean, Brandon is this like really nerdy, awkward, hot guy.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Yeah. Right. Yeah. He's objectively like beautiful, gorgeous. And, but like clearly awkward and weird no problem there you know um sure and maybe his first conversation with claire and all he says is the honest truth in a very normal like uh i don't really know you wasn't the honest truth i i don't
Starting point is 01:01:23 really be first what do you say was so wrong i don't know the first. Was it the honest truth? I don't really. What did he say was so wrong? I don't know you. The first thing out of his mouth was, I'm here because as soon as I heard it was you, that's why I wanted to come here. And then he was like, she's like, oh, really? Then he's like, I don't know anything about you. So he had nothing to back it up. So he first was like, I came here because it was you.
Starting point is 01:01:40 And then he was like, but I don't know you. But he did. You're right. He did because she was hot. So he was telling the truth. Oh, yeah, because he said she was hot. As soon as I saw it was you, but I don't know you. But he did. You're right. He did because she was hot. So he was telling the truth. Oh, yeah, because he said she was hot. As soon as I saw it was you, I wanted to go. And it's because you're hot.
Starting point is 01:01:50 Actually, Chrissy's right. And that maybe it is. No, Chrissy's right. Because what he, he made the, like, just decide. Are you going to speak in platitudes and bullshit bachelor phrases? Or are you going to be honest? Sure. Both work. You can't honest sure both work you can't
Starting point is 01:02:06 combine the two you can't say i came for you as soon as i heard as soon as i found out and then go audible to listen i'm just going to be straight with you i don't really know you you seem like a great girl i was excited about the possibility of getting to know you. I'm obviously here for like, I'm looking for love too. And I'd like to get to know you. That's fine too. But to Chrissy's point, you're right.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Claire picks up on like the contradiction of like, well, wait, which one is it? Because you kind of outed yourself. You're just saying what you think you should say, or at least that's how it sounds like. Yeah. And then your only rebuttal is,
Starting point is 01:02:44 and he's like she's like so what do you like about me did you see how i stood up for myself and he was like no i didn't watch like juan pablo i've never seen that kind of like thing and then he was like but you're hot so like i still felt bad for brandon because he looked so nervous his eyes was it was twitching what the fuck does he know and claire just has no fucking patience for him and just like i felt really bad for him like you're right chrissy like that's definitely but like also like he's just he doesn't know what the fuck is going on here and he just sounded kind of dumb in his delivery yeah and he's just trying and claire's just like nah because in claire's mind she's just like if i
Starting point is 01:03:23 could get rid of all of you i would i'm just trying to get to dale like yep so let's just like, nah. Because in Claire's mind, she's just like, if I could get rid of all of you, I would. I'm just trying to get to Dale. Yep. So let's just get rid of who? Can I get rid of Brandon? Great. Brandon, you're done. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:34 And looking for any reason. And he gave her one. Yeah, he gave her one. I always get so scared when these guys get rejected that they're going to do the thing of like, well, you're fucking old. Like that whole thing that Yosef apparently does. I always hold my breath
Starting point is 01:03:51 whenever someone gets eliminated like that because I feel like they're just going to do the guy thing of like, not even the guy thing, like the shitty guy thing of like when you get rejected, like being like, I wouldn't even want you anyway. Like when Yosef does that, I can't wait to see. Her whole speech of like, that's why I'm here because i didn't settle for like that that was so good it's great and we'll keep and we'll keep seeing it every week till it happens
Starting point is 01:04:13 for all we know it's not episode seven oh my god um no it's happening next week it's definitely happening this night i agree with you to the point where I don't think Yusuf has much longer to last and I don't think this Claire I don't think Claire as the lead is going to last a ton longer because you know, they kind of have to restart this whole thing. There's going to be another night one
Starting point is 01:04:38 I think. Oh my God. It's kind of wild, but that's kind of it. Have we covered everything? I mean, they don't even have a roast ceremony, right just kind of haven't gotten into it yet because because i do believe joseph's going home because he's he says he's going to confront her about it about his feelings about how he doesn't like how she's embarrassing them and how she yelled at them that first date well you're right which he definitely going down now i think he doesn't like her and that's his way of trying to send himself home yeah well kind of a shitty like you know gaslighting kind of approach of I don't instead
Starting point is 01:05:09 of just being like this isn't for me let me say let me take some totally arbitrary thing happening in bachelor world like like again it's not probably not even Clara's idea of having fun and then use that as a way to like and and then include your daughter as like, I need to be taken seriously and I can't have fun and play her out. And you know, yeah, I would never play strip dodgeball because my daughter might see it and wish you'd be so embarrassed yet. I will scream and run off and disparage a woman because of her age.
Starting point is 01:05:38 It's going to be appropriate. Another double standard though, because like when I was the bachelor, it was like, Oh my God, if you're going to like bounce in a bouncy castle, then you must not be looking for love and i'm just like i don't they brought a fucking bouncy castle on and i jumped on the fucking thing like what does that have to do with my sincerity but like total double standard because like you know looks like a
Starting point is 01:05:59 fuck boy as opposed to um but yeah yose, I think it's pretty safe he sucks. I mean, he hasn't really, he hasn't been on screen and not sucked yet, right? No, and he totally flubbed that first night of going to her and being like, listen, I DMed this, I want to get ahead of this. Yeah. It was just like, what are you doing? And I don't know, I'm sure you covered it, but I just don't see what was the problem there
Starting point is 01:06:26 i mean i guess he shouldn't have dm someone while he's waiting again the half truth like you either lie or tell the truth yeah i don't think you should lie but the truth when we mentioned it last week was this being let's say i definitely was talking to someone. There was a pandemic. I didn't know I was coming back like this. I don't. So, yeah, there was some communication. I can make it very clear now that there's nothing going on between now. And as soon as this happened up again, I ended that for excitement of getting to know you. Yeah, great.
Starting point is 01:07:01 That makes total sense. You know what? But the way he he was trying to figure out the best way to say it. And that sounded like he was lying. Yes. You know, but and in defense of all these guys, it is an impossible. And Claire is intimidating. And that's a compliment to Claire in a sense. But like she she is going in there very earnest and very serious and also very familiar with this world and it's very intimidating for someone in this in this world not knowing what
Starting point is 01:07:33 the fuck's going on and it's kind of kind of fun to watch are you are you friends with claire i i mean i'm friendly with claire i've we've've met. I was happy she was casted. I don't know her that well, and we don't keep in touch, but we're cool. Yeah. I like her as the Bachelorette. She's giving us a good season. Even though it's not going to last with her, I'm grateful for these episodes we do have. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:01 No, she's been really – Listen, I was excited when they cast cast her she's been exciting to watch so far unpredictable and you know awkward like yeah honest there's awkward moments and it's it's great it's what you want right um i think that i think the older bachelorette or just going for people in their 30s is a good call for this show i think that there is we're getting this kind of drama and this and better conversations and better dates because it's people who are like ready who have been through a lot and are ready to actually settle down like and i know girls that are 24 who go on the show think that they're ready to settle down but i don't really i don't believe
Starting point is 01:08:44 it i'm just as i guess it's because claire's closer to my age i'm having a much better time watching someone um a little bit older go through this process yeah i mean i if i agree with nothing else it's just a fun different dynamic than we've seen watching yeah you know it's you know whether people are ready younger or older or whatever but it I've really enjoyed that dynamic so far because it's definitely been different than what we've been used to watching. And we're getting a different group of men. Nikki, it's been a ton of fun as always.
Starting point is 01:09:16 I know you have to get going. Thank you, Nick. Where can people, again, find you? Any updates on what you got going on? Are you hosting any late night tv coming not anytime soon i'm just uh you can always find me on instagram nikki glazer that's the best place to keep up with me i'm in between uh podcasts right now so i don't have anything to promote but i will soon and um yeah just uh thanks for having me nick this is always fun

Starting point is 01:10:00 It's just the people, the person who wins is going to be the audience who's just like, because you can vote every day. It's kind of of yeah or or fill out an absentee ballot is that the vote we're talking about no uh we're talking about the people's choice not the no the one that doesn't matter not the election that actually is very important and very significant yeah which is another 220 thing like which i have put out there but oh boy you can't
Starting point is 01:10:28 every every day anything how dare you every day yeah why don't you uh thanks so much nikki and uh we will see you guys tomorrow
