Starting point is 00:02:39 for our Ask Nick episode. Certainly need your stories to keep those episodes going. If there's nothing else, I think we just get to this very attractive, very lovable, very talented group of men. CNCO, everybody. Christopher, Richard, Zab, Eric, welcome. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:03:00 So nice to have you guys. It's my first five-some in a podcast form. This is going to be fun. Hopefully we handle this well. For those of you who don't know, these very attractive, very charming gentlemen are in the hit band CNCO. And you guys are starting your tour.
Starting point is 00:03:24 And you, according to chrissy are you know you guys are trying to open up a little bit more to your audience on a more personal level and so i have the luxury of sitting down with you guys and chatting with you cool um obviously you guys used to have a fifth member to your band let's just start there right for all the people uh who are big fans of the group uh as a as a boy band lover myself now granted i'm a little older so i was the the in sync uh backstreet boys you know genre but when a when a when a member leaves or like uh when zayn left one direction a lot of heartbreak a lot of sadness yeah uh what can you guys tell us about that why why are you now
Starting point is 00:04:12 down to four and give us a little insight into what happened there i mean uh it was it was hard it was a hard moment for everyone uh it was unexpected um but you know uh we support him all the way he's a brother we freaking created a family here uh we've been what almost six years together and it's just things that happen in life that we just he was just not happy what he was doing anymore and he just wanted to see another path. And we were supporting him all the time, you know. And we still believe in CNCO. We know that this is going to be, like, we feel now even more, like, stronger than ever.
Starting point is 00:04:55 We feel more passionate about everything that we're doing every day right now. Because before, I think we had, like, the thing is that we stayed, like, in that sweet spot, like, comfortable spot. We just be we we were there for a long time. And this make us this draw leaving the band made us like realize like, well, we have to make this for sure, you know, ourselves, you know.
Starting point is 00:05:20 So now we're more in control of our careers. Well, we're more in control of our careers what we're more in control what we want to look in the future how our music want to sound like uh everything you know i was kind of mad though when i yeah no of course we're mad yeah not now not now but at the moment it was like yo yeah yeah it's because it's tough to take it like you know you know yeah well was there any like you know one direction uh fifth harmony another example uh it almost felt like i think fear and i think it ended up being a lot of the situations it was the beginning of the end or was there a fear on any of your guys's part that is this gonna be can we still be the same type of band it sounds like christopher
Starting point is 00:06:05 you're really optimistic that's not the case but can you set your fans minds at ease are you guys aren't going anywhere or or was there a fear when when he left that that might be the case yeah i mean of course but i think we take the decision to just continue continue what we was doing because i we feel like um that the essential you say since yeah the essence of the nco like it's still it's still gonna be here because still here um i don't know like we never we never have like that lead vocal you know so i think i think that that also helped to just you know continue business yeah yeah backstreet boys were on my season of the bachelor so i got to meet them and uh they mentioned um you know they had a bit of a you know he was kind of the the team he was like the big brother um is there how are you guys are
Starting point is 00:07:02 is there is there one of you guys it's kind of like uh i don't want to say the leader by any stretch but like the the one you guys turn to or do you guys all play different roles in terms of you know supporting each other uh both musically and you know motivating each other like is there a quarterback i don't know maybe you guys follow football but you know someone who's like really kind of, or the, you know, the center in soccer or whatever it is, like who's the team captain in the band? I mean, we all- We all are to each other.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Yeah. We all see for, look for each other. We all like, for example, we're in the studio and we know that he can do better. Yo, like we all, you know, like this just keep doing it. And also depending on the situation, we go we go to yeah it depends on the person that that could you know give us the best advice yeah yeah or the type of situation you know it depends on the situation too you're right so it's cool at the end of the day man we created a family a mutual bond um and
Starting point is 00:08:00 a brotherhood you know that that i think that it apart from fame or music or anything you know um there's more friendship you know you know cncl became a family instead of literally you know a label whatever it was yeah because i think sometimes people like i'm a sports fan or you know fan of music and when you see a team or a band you just assume like everyone's best friends and like you see you guys seem really close but even families fight families disagree right and so how do you guys fight like how you know are there i mean you guys are rock stars so are you guys divas or who's the biggest diva in the room like how do you guys handle that we put on the gloves we make each other bleed and stuff you know but you know honestly i think for
Starting point is 00:08:45 the time that we have together yeah we're gonna have like six year um like in december in december december 13. i think we like pretty good with each other we don't we don't fight that much we try to avoid fights yeah we try to avoid fighting yeah but when when it's happened to avoid fights yeah we tried to avoid fighting yeah but when when it happened we can go crazy yeah yeah that's why we avoided it yeah exactly yeah for each other like 24 yeah seven it's i think it's we're pretty easy with that we fight a lot for for for food to be honest yeah to go eat like like to where we don't eat and stuff like that. But nothing crazy. I want to play a game here. Close your eyes.
Starting point is 00:09:29 All right. Pay attention to where you guys are sitting. Who in the group has the biggest temper? The biggest temper? We have to point. We have to point, right? He already knows. He's smiling.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Are you pointing? Self-awareness is key. We got a point? Okay. We got a point, right? He already knows. He's smiling. Are you pointing? You know what? Self-awareness is key. They're all pointing at Richard. Actually, it's all the same, man. This game is good. All right.
Starting point is 00:09:55 One more time. Who's the most sensitive? Sensitive. Wow. Damn, bro. Sensitive. We all, we all so sensitive,
Starting point is 00:10:08 you know, we all have, you know, moments. You guys still have days close, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:13 I opened for a little just to see if you guys were close. All right. I feel like we all kind of like have our moments right now,
Starting point is 00:10:24 right? Like, yeah, I don't know who to point to, be honest like since you mentioned i mean or manager manager all right one more with the game the eyes closed who's who's the comedian in the group who's the who's the one making everyone laugh um you have to point guys yeah i'm pointing we're got christopher and eric it seems like we got yeah richard's pointing at both eric eric's getting more most of us yeah oh one more who's who's who's the most who's who has the most humility humility like humble humble like uh we all we all have that you know oh yeah we all we all who has the most humility? Humility. Like humble. Humble.
Starting point is 00:11:08 We all have that, you know? Oh, yeah? We all... Super humble. Super humble to say that. But I think it's this way. I think it is way for me. All right. Okay, I'm going to say this one.
Starting point is 00:11:18 This one. This one. This one. This one. This one. This one. This one. This one.
Starting point is 00:11:20 This one. This one. This one. This one. This one. This one. This one. This one.
Starting point is 00:11:21 This one. So it says here that you guys um haven't in the past but are now more open to it talking about your relationships and dating life and personal lives uh so i feel like i would under and i as someone who has been in the public eye a little bit i've i can be very private have been private so i get why it is you would want to yeah uh why are you guys uh more open to talking about it now i mean uh at beginning it was it was a little kind of um stressful in a way because we never experienced that before you know like being with for example a random uh person you met her you know and then it happens that you post her on your instagram or whatever and after a day or two she talks to you about like getting messages that like random messages from random people and you
Starting point is 00:12:21 get scared about it you know i'm you know you're like sorry about her you don't know what to do and like you're my bad you know like you feel guilty about it um but i feel like just now it's just like just whatever like i don't i don't care what people say right now like just talk if you want to talk about it just talk about it if you don't want to talk about it don't talk about it it's my life you know but i feel like something i learned this time is that at least in in this like entertainment yeah yeah like it's better to just keep it for you yeah right yeah because when you share is yeah no it's not tricky yeah yeah it's tricky it's tricky but it's better to have it i always i always have think that not everything is for sure. Yeah. Not everybody have to like know everything. A hundred percent. And what happened to me at the beginning is that I,
Starting point is 00:13:11 like I didn't want people to know like what it was going on, like in my relationships. Cause like, also like, I think like everybody like judge, judge a little bit at the beginning too like and it was and it was new for me and it was like every little thing that it was out they were judging it or like saying stuff about it and i was like oh damn so that makes me like be more like conscious
Starting point is 00:13:37 and be more like yeah keep it to myself make it till you make it. Act like a pro. Doesn't even matter if you really are with Canva. That's right. Oh, that's a good question.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Single, ready to mingle. Let's go. So we're all single? Yeah. Oh. Yeah. Zav, so wait, is she listening maybe? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:24 I hope. No? I hope she's. I hope. No? I hope she's listening right now. It's me. It's me. Yeah, he's her. Yeah, all right. I came out.
Starting point is 00:17:33 You can talk, baby. You can talk. And Richard, you're a father. Yes. Yeah. You have a daughter or son? A daughter, five years old. Five years old?
Starting point is 00:17:44 Beautiful. Beautiful daughter. Okay. So now that you guys are all single, you have a daughter or son a daughter five years old five years old beautiful um okay so now that you guys are all single you're you're a maybe i'm only curious i want to ask you about maybe because you know we talk about relationships we talk about dating on this podcast um you guys are all very attractive you're musicians you're attractive your musicians your your literal rock stars uh assuming you got a lot of uh women who who are interested in and hanging out and maybe even doing more uh with you guys you know maybe like when i talked a lot to my women audience, sometimes they will. I'll tell them if a guy makes you feel confused, if you if you don't know, if he's using words like maybe you should probably just leave.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Do you guys feel a heightened sense of responsibility as good looking rock stars who, let's be honest can kind of you know you have options you have options do you feel a heightened sense of responsibility to be direct with the women you're engaging with or or how worried if at all are you about leading people on or leading women on or and you sometimes have you ever felt like you led a woman on and maybe needed to apologize for that i feel that yeah i think maybe in the beginning in the beginning it was kind of like like that you know like you always you didn't know what was going on you know or how to maneuver that situation and then you get a heartbreak and whatever so like i feel like now with with time at least for myself,
Starting point is 00:19:26 I like to, I think we all do. I like to keep it real, you know? So we just like, I feel like talking about it from the beginning and just kind of like saying what it is. Or after, you know, whatever. But at some point it has to, or the whole time it has to keep, you know, very genuine and real. Yeah, upfront expectations are happen you know very genuine and and real yeah i up up front expectations are you
Starting point is 00:19:47 know letting him know or them or whoever it is you know if you have if you have boundaries you know it's always good to set those up yeah uh up front has anyone here had their heart broken not yet not yet you have it yeah you yeah you look you look like you haven't had your heart maybe really my job maybe really disappoint disappointing you yeah but no one here is like broken no one's really cried like well yeah yeah yeah have you has anyone here called their mom crying about a girl no no no no, no, no, no. You did it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:28 You didn't even know this. I have. You didn't even know. I think you should. I think that's beautiful. At some point, you have to go through it, you know?
Starting point is 00:20:36 But it was my first heartbreak. I remember, I think it was like in high school or something like that. And, but I didn't call my mom, but I talked to her, you know, and then I started bawling.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Like, I was like, oh my God. bawling. Oh, of course. That type of thing. I remember now, yo, I did. I did have this little bond. I mean, I have bonds with my mom. I love her, you know. But I remember this time when I was in college, something I don't remember.
Starting point is 00:21:01 I got drunk and I had something. I was I was with some some girl there um but nothing happened and something happened on that party i have no clue that what happened but i went drunk to the house and my mom saw me starving like you know like crying like crying on the on the on the bathroom trying to puke are you good sorry i was like yeah but yeah that was a cute moment i didn't expect that i just remember now that like now you said that i remember that moment me trying to you know puke there and my mom just don't worry mom i'm trying to bring me uh water what it's like don't
Starting point is 00:21:48 worry me right a while ago i was what no when i when i cry like that i don't want people to like yeah see you yeah yeah if i can be the most alone possible that's gonna be the best better i feel like eric you could really cry hard if you got your feelings hurt no judgment I I feel you
Starting point is 00:22:11 I've been I've been like really tough position I was saying like disappointed disappointed like like what
Starting point is 00:22:19 but but yeah in my room alone have you guys ever hit on a girl since being a musician and been turned down
Starting point is 00:22:29 uh yeah what's been turned down like like be nodding or whatever yeah for sure yeah I think that happens
Starting point is 00:22:37 to everyone regardless if you're freaking no matter how much of a rockstar you are yeah you know and how do you
Starting point is 00:22:43 always get left on scene or something. You know. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Something. All right. Who's, who's, who's sliding in the DMs in this room? Oh, I think all of us.
Starting point is 00:22:54 All of us. And what is, if you're going to, okay, you're, you're on Instagram. You're, you see a little, a woman that you're like. Pretty girl. What's your go-to what do you say what i say you know yo okay i'm gonna say go for it go for it okay so pretty much all the other other all the time you know that i see like a pretty girl that i like explore so they they know so they know that's kind of like always that you see a pretty girl it's on explore uh-huh you're like chilling
Starting point is 00:23:29 the algorithm knows sometimes what I do it's that I like go to her story yeah and I like react something to it yeah smart I react something like that and I think it's that's kind of smart yeah
Starting point is 00:23:50 it works I think that's better you're paying attention DM directly yeah does it usually work I'm gonna try one yeah I have work
Starting point is 00:23:58 yeah I'm gonna try one I don't do it that much honestly have you ever done it? yeah I don't know like I can count it with my hands no judgment that's how I met my girlfriend
Starting point is 00:24:13 and I just do emojis something like that emojis? I know I'm not really good doing it so that's why I don't do it that's why we that's why they let us like that, yo. No girl wants a pop of cheese. No, I'm mostly like that.
Starting point is 00:24:28 I'm mostly like that. I comment on a story, something, you know, or I send her like a flower or something or something about her, whatever she was wearing, like, you know, I like that, designing a shirt or something. That's a step higher. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's go around the room. Let's start on the. That's a step higher. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, let's go around the room.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Let's start with Richard. Tell me something nonphysical. OK, not about their looks that you find attractive in women. Smile. But that's looks. Yeah. No, I mean, I like her because I know because I don't.
Starting point is 00:25:01 Personality like something they do like you not and not. Yeah, but I don't think I don't think for something they do like you not and not yeah but i don't think i don't think for me smile is a look i think smile is a personality you know like if a person actually smile because there's a lot of girls that really don't show you personality without you know smiling you know so i feel like if you see a person smiling you'll tell that they have a great personality with a smile you can see something you can see everything you know with a smile they can tell you things and i like i like communication like i like when i when somebody could really like you know hold the conversation because i'm bad at it so i feel like yeah and i feel like i
Starting point is 00:25:33 need somebody to like take it out of me like okay the conversation out of me all right i like that i like the self-awareness you yeah so you almost do you do you prefer to be approached rather than approach uh a girl or a woman? No, I could approach. It's just to maintain the conversation is going to be hard for me. But I would like both. You know, I think however it flows, I guess. You know, however is more genuine.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Masterclass. Be a master. Make a class. I mean, so many, you know, if we want to learn, it's always great to learn from the best. And Masterclass is providing you access to truly the masters in their field. They have Aaron Sorkin teaching you how to write.
Starting point is 00:26:15 And if you've ever wanted to write a script, maybe you have a great idea out there and you just were like, I know this could be an absolute hit. Well, go to Masterclass and learn from Aaron Sorkin. It's really cool. I mean, you really feel like you're in the classroom, you're there. It's amazing the amount of care and effort truly these masters are putting into teaching you the tricks of their trade. It's such a great gift to give to someone or just treat yourself with a lifetime of knowledge.
Starting point is 00:26:42 It really doesn't matter what you want to learn. It could be skateboarding from Tony Hawk. It could be Robin Roberts. It could be Martin Scorsese. It truly, the list goes on. Yeah, so again, makes a great gift. Share it with Masterclass. You can get their entire library. You can learn from the world's best
Starting point is 00:27:02 anytime, anywhere on your phone. It's a great thing to maybe digest while you're traveling certainly a better option than you know some of the other content that's available my favorites were the photography one the art of negotiation I could go on and on but those are some of my favorites I highly recommend you check it out get unlimited access to every masterclass and as a vile file listener you can get 15 off an annual membership go to masterclass.com slash v-i-a-l-l that's masterclass.com slash v-i-a-l-l for 15 off your masterclass for me i'm still i'm still like debating on what you know like, just, I'm still not know what exactly it is, but I really like when they're, like, a little, because I'm a kind of extrovert, extrovert?
Starting point is 00:27:54 Extrovert. Extrovert, is that how you say? Extroverted. I like them a little less, you know, como que mas, like, closed up a little. Not that intense. So you like being the star. More chill.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Not shy, but more chill. Not so crazy. Yeah, not so talkative. I don't know how to explain it. Because I've been like, you know. And when they're so crazy. You know that when they're crazy and they party, blah, blah, blah. It's just for fun, you know.
Starting point is 00:28:23 It's fun. It's a fun night fun you know it's fun it's fun night you know whatever but um for a relationship i don't know if like that's what i'm looking for you know that craziness is i don't know it's too much energy type yeah i already have that energy you know yeah how you that extrovert if it would be good like right, too much a girl that is, like, introvert. Right, yeah, yeah. I mean, a lot of introverts and extroverts, are there any introverts
Starting point is 00:28:49 in this room? I think I'm pretty introvert. I can be. I would have guessed that you're, you can be, I can be both. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Yeah. I introvert, but with alcohol, I can be both. That's just called alcohol. That's crazy, crazy. What about you? What do like what's a what's something
Starting point is 00:29:06 that you find uh personally wise in a relationship something that really gets you going for me honestly um okay so because society like it's really common that the guys have to always, like, do the first move. Always. You know? Like, majority of times, like, the guys are the ones, like, just go for the girl. And we're backward. So, like, for me, when the girl, when it's different, when the girl are the one that do that, when she do the first move, for me, that's really, like, oh. Yeah. Oh, jeez. That's hot. You know? That, for for me that's really like oh yeah that's hot you know that for me bring it on yeah for me like like you know we always do that so when she is the one that do
Starting point is 00:29:59 that for me it's like okay yeah that's like you know i like that yeah i like that that's cool i i really love when i can have like so fucking i'm sorry you can swear oh yeah of course amazing when when you can have like super like cool conversations yeah i really enjoy that what's your favorite thing to talk about when you're talking with a girl I like to have like deep conversations about like what you think like about life or
Starting point is 00:30:33 you know like deep conversations I just love that and that like como que like super like conspiracy philosophical no I don't like conspiracy stuff but it's more about like feelings emotional what you think about life your como esa creencia how you say creencia i don't know what do you do you do you do you guys feel comfortable talking about your
Starting point is 00:30:58 insecurities with the women you're dating like the things that you know you think about in your head that you worry whether it's physical insecurities or emotional insecurities are you guys do you like talking about that or or do you guys keep that inside when i'm kind of drunk yeah but without alcohol yeah i mean it's crazy because what i've been mentioning to the guys, I went in random question with random, um, answer when we were on the thing, uh, we were rolling that song. Um, what happened to me was that I literally entered to this world,
Starting point is 00:31:35 like this, you know, like what entertainment were. And suddenly I, I, I had like little things that I've seen on myself or on camera that I started being insecure about. And I was like, what is this feeling? Like I started having insecurity.
Starting point is 00:31:52 I didn't have it. Like I was living my life. I don't give a, you know, about anyone, about every, like I do myself. And if I'm happy, I'm good, you know. But after that, like a couple of years it's hard it's it's that and i didn't i didn't um know how that feel for another person till i got to feel it and i was like wow so this is how it you know so insecurities are something that i don't talk about that much because it's been recently happening for me like so i don't know how how to approach or whatever but um it's been recently happening for me like so i don't know how how to approach or whatever but
Starting point is 00:32:26 um it's it's it's it's not fun it's not like yeah like what the fuck what are you know what are some other things you guys like to enjoy besides music like what other passion i love skating i love i suck but i love it like what kind yeah skateboarding that's really fun we play a lot well i play a lot of big games uh well we do when we come together we play like nintendo and sure nintendo arms is though arms uh we like to party a lot well now now now more yeah recently is more it's been happening more because we were in quarantine we're like uh It's been happening more because we were in quarantine. We're like, oh.
Starting point is 00:33:05 But we're coming out right now more. Play soccer sometimes, too. Oh, soccer. I mean, in vacations, we like to... Oh, he like to draw? Oh, he like to draw. Yeah, you like to paint and draw? What are you into? No, I just recently...
Starting point is 00:33:17 Actually, the guys bought me a tablet. So I'm starting to, like, you know, make art there. Design stuff. Yeah, design stuff and learn a little bit more about it but i like to draw more on paper on paper than anything else oh that's cool i'm starting to tattoo i want to i want to like start tatting yeah oh yeah yeah dude yeah i've done a few on myself and but what about what about you like you do something what you like to do too uh what do i like to recently too? What do I like to do?
Starting point is 00:33:45 Recently, I just like playing with my dog. That's cute. I do some painting. I haven't painted in a while, but I draw and paint. I like sports. I'm into soccer. I used to play soccer as a kid, but like watching sports, I watch more American football and baseball.
Starting point is 00:34:00 That's dope. But all sports I enjoy. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. H hanging out with my girlfriend i've i've become boring as i've done no that's do you guys have no point you guys have dogs yeah yeah i have a cat and i love you're a cat guy i have an obsession with my cat dog dog but yeah yeah so i can have cats and them to have dogs so wait wait, cat guy, cat guy, dog guy, dog guy. Wow. We got them in quarantine.
Starting point is 00:34:30 What's your cat's name? What's your cat's name? Apa. Pluto. Pluto, okay. Oli. Oli, and that's your dog's name? That's my dog, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:42 And my dog's name is Loki. Loki. Loki. I wouldn't have taken you as a cat guy I'm a little surprised about that no I always love no disrespect at all yeah
Starting point is 00:34:52 I don't know what's mean though what you're trying to mean oh no I'm not teasing you know because usually you see guys
Starting point is 00:35:00 more on dogs and you know like cat lady or whatever mine is like really little super cute i used to love dogs but but i live in an apartment and i i think it was like more easy to have a cat
Starting point is 00:35:13 yeah yeah so yeah but now i love him yeah he's beautiful but the thing is that before we used to like say things about cats we used to like didn't like them that much and then after they get a cat you know there's actually an interview that i say that i don't like cats and i have one crazy cats are easier to take care of exactly yeah and super chill that's what i love when you guys go on dates do you feel like you have to be in private if you were to ask a girl out or you go on a date
Starting point is 00:35:53 what's your go to first date like a place not a place but do you like an activity do you want to just talk I think whatever place we can talk a lot could be fire and if it's with alcohol so you like you like to party but it's recently
Starting point is 00:36:16 because because recently we've been going out and i and i realized that when i it's fun drink a little bit not too much just a little bit i get like much, just a little bit, I get like, ah, and I get super expressive. I feel you. Are you guys familiar with the term fuckboy? Fuckboy. And as rock stars, as musicians, good-looking guys, I think we're all at risk of being fuckboys or labeled. Again, a lot of it has to do with,
Starting point is 00:36:45 as you were mentioning, Richard, just being up front. Just like, hey, just so you know, this is my expectations. Do you guys feel an added amount of responsibility or pressure to... Like as musicians, do you try to think about having a clean, squeaky image
Starting point is 00:37:04 or the bad boy thing? And how does that play a role in how you go about dating? And do you would you feel bad if someone called you a fuck boy or is it is it is what it is right now? right now i mean at least uh in my opinion in my opinion i think that uh like people will call you maybe fuck boy or whatever but they don't understand the situation that you're in as us as musicians as well so it could be perceived easier to be a fuck boy than you know taking things so like genuine we like to keep things genuine you know we don't like to like kind of just go around and you know lie or whatever you know we kind of just like to be a front where everything and just put it on the table if you with it then you're not you
Starting point is 00:37:55 know whatever but i feel like for us um artists it's easier for people to just you know society to put us on that category you know box you know yeah bro and we're but i don't mind it at the end of the day i know my business i know that that i'm not one you know so whoever like you know you're supposed to know if you're if you're one or not you know so if they call you that then that's bro we're freaking in the 20s yo we're in 20s we're freaking living our dream we're traveling around the world why you know're in 20s we're freaking living our dream we're traveling around the world why you know like no it makes sense i mean that's the thing as long as you're up front um yeah you get yourself in trouble when you're you know a lot of guys will be like i love you
Starting point is 00:38:35 maybe you maybe as rock stars you don't have to you don't have to do that you know i think some guys will make the mistake of saying what they think they should say i feel that and trying uh to um you say the right thing in order to you know get laid yeah and uh maybe you guys have the benefit of not yeah and you have to be up front you know some whatever people often aren't up front with their expectations but then that's where you guys get yours and that's where people get themselves in trouble um mental health obviously we talk about that on the show a lot uh is that something are you guys are passionate about it have you guys ever are you guys advocates of therapy uh have you guys ever had a you know being or being the spotlight can be challenging it is we kind of talked about you know, being in the spotlight can be challenging.
Starting point is 00:39:25 It is. As we kind of talked about, you know, like, yeah, you might be rock stars, but you're human beings. You guys are still also, you know, relatively young. I don't know how much criticism rock stars get, but like it's very easy having access to the Internet to like just read stuff and and hear people say like oh your music sucks or your whatever this how does that affect you guys how do you guys go about not buying into that and have you guys still felt down or depressed and how do you guys protect your mental health as you guys open yourself up to the world you know i try to not be that much in
Starting point is 00:40:08 social media i try yeah yeah um because when i when you have too much time there you can see all those comments that is like i mean there's some comments that make you feel like oh but when then you see those ones that are like throwing you off hate or stuff is like make you feel that. And actually, I don't know, for some reason, like you can read 20 of good comments and one of,
Starting point is 00:40:33 and he's making me like, oh shit. Um, that's because you spent more, all that time believing the compliments. Exactly. So then that other one must be true because you've been telling yourself compliments are real. Um, yeah, there's, exactly so then that other one must be true because you've been telling yourself compliments
Starting point is 00:40:45 are real yeah um yeah there's i think we talked about the pot i think there's like a psychological name for it we just have a we our brain it's almost like a defense mode our egos will take over uh you're not you're not alone with that but yeah amazing to know yeah um but but i think i don't know at least me i i love to have just time alone i think that's help a lot just be in my room alone and just trying to organize organize my ideas and my thoughts and stuff i think that helps a lot it's great to me getting um into meditate it had like helped me a lot you like to meditate yeah yeah a helps a lot it's great to me getting um into meditate it had like help me a lot like to meditate yeah a lot a lot um because like is what we're like talking before that it's hard when you're like on the spot and everybody's
Starting point is 00:41:37 like watching you and everybody's like just they're looking at every single thing that you're doing and wanting wanting to give their opinion too. Exactly, exactly. It's a little hard. But how I was saying, like, meditation helped me a lot. And I think it was really heavy too in this past years to me too because the quarantine, when it hit hit the quarantine i think that was like a stop for like everybody and i think the quarantine like makes me
Starting point is 00:42:14 um be in my head more than i never have been before and it was crazy it was crazy it was tough but we're here we're here and we're like and we're dealing with it you know that's great that being you find that meditation helps you yeah yeah that's dope yeah and and you know be with around surround by like good people good vibes people that really help you and like you know good friends and it's run by just good energy yeah uh as uh young men in the spotlight you have in the audience do you guys feel a responsibility or how involved are you in kind of the big world big picture discussions or things going on in the world like eric you're you're from cuba yeah um and obviously cuba recently is going through a lot of turmoil. I don't know a ton about it to speak on it. Well, but are you involved what's going on there? And how do you
Starting point is 00:43:15 support your community? Or do you feel a sense of responsibility to be there for, you know, the people of Cuba? Yeah. Yeah yeah of course i mean what happened in my country right now it's like pretty crazy and it's have been tough and um how do i say this in english is hard um like we're like orgulloso proud proud too because like where you're proud we have we have like a lot of years like um trying to like be here i don't know like um we're waiting for this moment like a lot of a lot of years um the the the people in cuba like are like getting out of their houses and they're just claiming, I think that's how you say it, for freedom. It's kind of fighting back.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Fighting for freedom. Taking their country back. Taking their country back, exactly. And that for me is really beautiful, honestly. It's really beautiful. So you're optimistic even though right now things aren't going great, but there's hope at the end, hopefully.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Yes, of course. Because not only, like, Cubans people are, like, there, also, like, Latin people are, like, more together than ever to, like, just help. And that, for me, it's, like, you know, beautiful, you know. I just, like, hope Cuba will be be free you know um one day i think that's what we all want cubans and and i think that time is gonna it's gonna come i i have faith in that and and yeah you just time sometimes he he tells stories about when he lived there
Starting point is 00:45:02 about cuban stuff and it's it's hard to create yeah yeah it's really crazy like the situation there is like i i came um to united states kind of young like with like 11 11 12 but like you know i live in q i know what it's like you know living in q1 of my um infancia yeah your childhood childhood i spent it there so i know what it is and and it's tough oh well i'm sorry to hear that but it's great that you uh are optimistic and and um supporting yeah uh who are some of your role models in the music industry uh that you guys look up to or aspire to be um well i used to well not used to i still inspired like they they inspire me all the time uh but um recently i've been looking out for more
Starting point is 00:45:56 artists but before when i started um singing i used to look up to luis fonzi he's a great singer uh david vizval he's from spain he's amazing he has incredible incredible voice and this group called sin bandera there's a duo they're just incredible doing harmonies ballad songs that type of song that type of music is just beautiful you're also into rock rock yeah yeah i like rock a lot heavy rock yeah I like it but yeah I've been looking out for a bunch of artists to be honest and now more than ever
Starting point is 00:46:33 but we just constantly looking to the music that is right now so we don't be like out of the music that is happening right now just always constantly looking around right now. Just always constantly just looking around. Right now, I feel really inspired
Starting point is 00:46:47 from what is happening right now in music. Like, I feel really inspired right now about that, how we're like going global,
Starting point is 00:46:59 like that, with our flavor. You know? Checking out the world. Like those artists like, I don't know like bonnie um all that um because they say all that culture is i i really get inspired from them a lot urban culture to me um in the latin side obviously about bonnie he's like killing it right now i like i feel like every single song that he drops is better and better.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Better and better. D-Bobbing, honestly. Daddy Yankee. I grew up listening to Daddy Yankee. In the Anglo side, I have an obsession. But it's like an obsession with like Billie Eilish yeah she's great she's another thing like I was I'm finished amazing amazing amazing I was I was listening to like her latest album recent album and it's
Starting point is 00:48:02 like crazy I even like send one song to our our our manager um but she's she's killing it right now i love i love post malone too ah yeah you guys got kids uh have you guys been able to meet any of your kind of people you look up to um the ones that i i i admire yeah um we meti, we met Fonsi. Daddy Yankee. We met Daddy Yankee. I mean, we met Neo once too. Neo.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had a few people. You're going to slide into Billy's DMs. Go. But not with the emojis. No emojis. Do that. Do that.
Starting point is 00:48:41 No emojis. Your stuff is good. I don't know Billy personally, but I feel like you're gonna have to like come with more than just a weak face but hey shooters gotta shoot if you're gonna if anyone can do it I feel like you can do it with those eyes Eric yo Billy if you're hearing this you guys are a ton of fun before i let you go we're gonna play a game called do you know me it's super easy um uh i'm just it will also be like does i'll just say cnco because i went for
Starting point is 00:49:19 because i'm not gonna say your names four times but uh do you guys or whatever and so it's real simple to say whether you've done something you're not okay uh if you have a story to tell by your answer you're welcome to share you don't have to it's up to you okay uh you can stay quiet all right so do you know me with cnco baby baby if you all if you want to sing your answer too. It's all so well. All right. Does C-N-C-O, and we'll just go around the room.
Starting point is 00:49:52 We'll start with Richard. Prefer sweet or savory? Sweet. Like sweet or salty? Or sour. Like sour? No, savory would be like, yeah. Like garlic. Garlic? Yeah, like sour no savory would be like uh yeah like more like garlic yeah like garlic garlic savory yeah like a whole like a good meal or do you like a good dessert i mean everybody
Starting point is 00:50:12 likes a good dessert uh are you talking about food i'm talking about food you know you have a relationship with your family. Yo. But I prefer, to be honest, I'm not a sweet tooth. So I'll do a little bit more salty type. Savory kind of. Yeah, you know. What's your favorite meal?
Starting point is 00:50:41 My favorite meal will be a Dominican food for sure. 100%. Or Chinese food. I like Chinese food. You know, you guys need to get. How long are you in town for sure. A hundred percent. Yeah. Or Chinese food. I like Chinese food. You know, you guys need to, how long are you in town for? Oh, uh,
Starting point is 00:50:48 until Tuesday. You guys need to go to, tell your manager or wherever. Please. Din Tai Fung at Century City Mall. Okay. Or the Americana. Oh,
Starting point is 00:50:58 she knows. It's the best food. So we're going, we're going to have to take them to Din Tai Fung, get the soup dumplings, the rice cakes uh the cucumber salad get the uh yeah let's go it's you're welcome i'm hungry now what about you chris um i really like i don't know if this is weird i'm gonna just say it uh i like to mix
Starting point is 00:51:22 both flavors not the the the garlic not the garlic but the salty and the sweet at the same time i don't know yeah yeah that's common yeah it's really good i like it like the kettle popcorn exactly i love that but i really enjoy meals like him i don't i'm not like a sweet tooth either i'm a sweet sweet person for sure like sorry I literally I was talking to Sabdiel yesterday I first eat the dessert
Starting point is 00:51:54 and then the meal that's weird that's really weird that's what I do I love it how do you say savory? savory I think. I know it. We respect it. How do you say savory? Savory. Savory.
Starting point is 00:52:06 For sure. I think I already know Zab's answer to this. Has CNCO had more alcohol than coffee this week? This week?
Starting point is 00:52:19 Alcohol. A hundred percent. This week, a hundred percent. You guys have been enjoying the LA life. But after this week, we will need more but after this week we will need more coffee yeah
Starting point is 00:52:28 we will need more coffee yeah it was actually not too long ago we already actually asked this heartbroken question alright
Starting point is 00:52:39 here's the quiz here's the quiz can CNCO name three Shakespearean plays? You guys familiar with Shakespeare? Yeah, but not very informed, I guess. Come on.
Starting point is 00:52:56 You guys can do one. What's the most popular? Romeo and Juliet. There you go. There's one. And this could be a team effort. Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Romeo too. Just think of Leonardo DiCaprio movies. Hey. Titanic. Titanic. No, it's not. It's not.
Starting point is 00:53:23 What? Look, look, look. That's What? Look That's Chrissy's fault That's Chrissy's fault That was crazy She mentioned Leonardo And I went straight To Titanic Straight up to Titanic
Starting point is 00:53:32 So I wasn't even Thinking about Shakespeare At that point Yeah To be honest That's all we know That's a tough question Taming of the Shrew
Starting point is 00:53:42 Hamlet You got it You got it Damn Taming of the Shrew Much Ado About Nothing Wait go back Which one again? Taming of the Shrew Hamlet you got it you got it damn Taming of the Shrew much ado about nothing hey go back go back
Starting point is 00:53:48 which one again Taming of the Shrew is it right Taming of the Shrew you know have you guys seen the movie 10 Things I Hate About no
Starting point is 00:53:54 no no I've seen that one yeah 10 Things I Hate About You 10 Things I Hate About You that movie that movie is based off the play
Starting point is 00:54:03 Taming of the Shrew oh wow oh shit wow you got us there yeah that's okay it's alright That movie is based off the play Taming of the Shrew. Oh, wow. Oh, shit. Wow, you got us there. Yeah. That's okay. It's all right.
Starting point is 00:54:09 I hope all the Shakespearean fans out there don't come for you guys. We love Shakespeare, you know? You know. All right, here we go. I like this question. Has anyone, or we'll ask around, CNCO ever shared a toothbrush with their girlfriend
Starting point is 00:54:28 or partner or each other have you guys ever shared a toothbrush ever been like fuck it clean my teeth I have I just share a gum one day gum? I would rather share a toothbrush
Starting point is 00:54:44 than gum yeah i know really nasty but both are pretty yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but but not fully chewed it's like you know like you just like the tip like half like the flavor was still still there no no it's nice it wasn't even chewed. I just had it in my mouth. She asked like right when I put it on. So like I just took half out and then gave it in. So it wasn't like, oh, here you can. No, when I take it, when I take it, I come this. Did he have flavor?
Starting point is 00:55:16 In the heart, in the heart. That happens a lot in the club, bro. That happens a lot in the club. I mean, he did say he likes savory. So gross. This is a no judgment zone. We appreciate your honesty.
Starting point is 00:55:34 We can't ask people to be honest and real and shame them for being honest and real. I honestly think it's gross. It is, though. The gum I don't get because most gum is only good for three minutes anyway. All right. This is a little personal.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Okay. Does CNCO... How can I change this a little bit? Do you guys ever... Have you ever carried a condom around with you just in case yes is there a condom in the room no i don't i didn't i didn't bring my wallet today but no but yeah yeah yeah in case we are We are advocates of safe sex. Exactly. Well done. Well done.

Oh, Manifest. my friend jimmy is like detective on the show exactly that's amazing that's good uh i just started watching it the first you know but i'm um awesome all right final question is anyone in this room double jointed double jointed what's mean you know people just like bend their elbows and they're not flexible or do some weird
