Starting point is 00:00:29 pop culture moms, find it wherever you get your podcasts. You're crazy. What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the podcast. I'm your host, Matt. And I'm your host, Matt. And I'm your host, Matt. And I'm your host, Matt. What's going on everybody? Welcome back to another exciting episode
Starting point is 00:00:51 of the Vile Files Reality Recap Edition. I'm your host, Nick, and we have an incredible episode for you today. Most importantly, Shannon Medores on this episode. Yay! And Danny and Whitney. What was everyone's big takeaway meeting Shannon? She's an icon.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Joel's a liar. Joel can boost her. Ooh yeah. That boy's a liar. It's just more like, yeah. I just think after meeting Shannon, I really think that all of her cast mates are kind of bullies. You guys met Joel?
Starting point is 00:01:22 Have you? No. No. I've seen him live a lot of times. She's a Joel stan. I'm not. So then why do you think he did this? I never said. I know why. Why do you think if he loves him so much. You guys are putting words. Mary is like, holy shit.
Starting point is 00:01:31 You're gonna die for him. Why did he do that? She defends him. Every time she defends him that I'm like, I hate that man. Yeah, I do defy him. Well, I don't hate him. Okay. I love Shannon.
Starting point is 00:01:39 Damn. Yeah. Hates a strong word. Hates a strong word. No, I mean, he said crazy shit about her. I don't appreciate the way he treated Shannon. You're not a fan. Yeah, of those actions.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Of Joel, yeah. Of those actions. He was good on Fire Island. He wrote Fire Island. And he was incredible on Fire Island. Why did he do what he did to Shannon, Mary? I don't know him personally. I maybe don't necessarily agree with the way
Starting point is 00:02:01 in which he went about it, but I imagine that every story has two sides, and I would be interested to hear what he had to say about it. Mary follows him on Instagram. Did you DM him for the videos when he posted DM me for the videos? No, I don't know. Joel, personally, I'm just a very big fan of his work,
Starting point is 00:02:17 and I think he's very, a talented comedian, and actor, and writer. And I- You don't want to criticize the artist, just the man? I don't want to criticize the man, honestly. She loves him. I do love him. But his, I think that the apology,
Starting point is 00:02:32 if I was him, I wouldn't have apologized. But it's how he apologized that made me lose all respect for him. Yeah, I mean like... Yeah, you should have stuck to it. Oops, I shouldn't have done that. I was like, do you know what you did? I don't agree with the personal attack aspect of it,
Starting point is 00:02:45 but like everybody has their moments. And if I think of Shannon, I think that if Shannon has been allowed to have moments, a lot of people are allowed to have moments where they post things and do things that doesn't necessarily represent them in their best moment. And if Shannon is allowed to have moments that don't represent her in her best moments, then why is Joel not allowed to have that? She stands him. I think because he said he wants her to suffer.
Starting point is 00:03:08 And his family. And her family. Again, I don't agree with that. Like, I don't think that he should have said that, but I will say that in the moment, I was kind of gagged. And I think he's very funny. Not y'all turning Mary into Joel's, like, PR crisis representative. I'm a joking booster. I love you. I like I'm a defender.
Starting point is 00:03:27 I'll stand by that. Joel's the only one who does this, but his statement and then his apology gave very much like he is very much main character syndrome. And yeah, I mean, I guess, I guess in the Bravo sphere, I understand how Joel comes off as a villain, but as a fan of his work for a very long time, like I don't like, I don't know, I think Joel's gonna be fine. That's my take on it.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Like I don't, I don't know. I don't think this is as big of a like big career thing as a lot of. Oh, I don't think the career ruining. I just think he's. Might be Bravo ruining. If I wasn't going to watch the show before, I'm gonna watch it now. I think he should be a housewife. He can be a friend of one season.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Yeah, I don't know. I love Joel. Joel, I love you. I put it this way. I wouldn't wanna be a friend with him. I would. She loves him. I think it's Debbie in the back.
Starting point is 00:04:19 You and Alexis Bellino both follow Joel Kimbooster. Let that sit in. Let that sit in. I'm not, don't do not fucking save. Do not fucking save Kevin's Alexis Bellino both follow Joel Kim Booster? Let that sit in. Let that sit in. I'm not, do not put me in a safe cave as Alexis Bellino. I have another question. So are you and Alexis like teaming up together? What's going on here? Actually Alexis and I have had multiple conversations.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Alexis, Joel and I have all thought of ways that we are gonna team up. Oh yeah. About Shannon Bedor. Yeah, we're taking a trip together, ultimate girls trip, but just evil people. Gonna gonna call it the hate hotel. They hate hotel me me me and Joel But no, I think Joel's so funny I think Joel was like probably in a moment or he was like being mean and joking and it went too far and it
Starting point is 00:04:56 Didn't land and sometimes stuff doesn't land and you know what he's he's Still fine. He's still fine. Everybody go watch Fire Island. It's a really good movie. It is a good movie. Why, why, have I seen Fire Island? It's on Hulu. It is, it is, it is Pride and, it's a Pride and Prejudice like remake
Starting point is 00:05:14 about gay guys on Fire Island. It has- Well, you know what Fire Island is, right? Like it's an actual island, right? Or it's called something else, but it's an island like off of New York, right? Yeah, it's in New York. Somewhere around there where it's like essentially
Starting point is 00:05:24 a lot of queer gay people go there and it's essentially a lot of queer, gay people go there and it's a lot of sex, hooking up, drugs. It's a thing that people do. And they make Pride and Prejudice about it. It's Joel, Joel is Elizabeth and then Bo and Yang and then Matt Rogers is in it. It's a beautiful movie for people of all identities and sexualities.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Okay. Yes, Margaret Cho plays the mom. It's very incredible. I love it. So yeah, I'm a Joel girl. I'm sorry Sorry Shannon. You don't apologize. She's a Joel nerd. I'm a nerd We allow discourse on this show. Thank you to save space for people to disagree I hold no like hatred my heart towards Shannon Bador
Starting point is 00:05:58 I think that she has gone through a lot and she doesn't deserve it But and I don't necessarily like feels like we're all you're finding off the Shannon Yeah, she's PR in herself she's like why I do also Just want to say I don't agree. I don't get booster has never done anything wrong in his entire life. Come at me We'll put we'll put Mary's Instagram in the bio for you We'll put Mary's Instagram in the bio for you to note. No, thank you. Come Abby, I don't give a shit. Leave Mary alone.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Don't, I wanna hear what you have to say. We also, as Natalie mentioned, we have Danny Amendola and his dancing partner, Whitney Carson with us as well. They join us for Stats versus Knowledge. Danny being the former Super Bowl champion that he is. Knowledge. And Special Forces contestant who couldn't finish.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Well, he also did have a- Don't give it away. All right, he does tell us why he could not finish. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, anyways. We have a lot of fun with them as well. That will be up shortly. Oh, by the way, don't forget that the Going Deeper episode with Jaleel White,
Starting point is 00:07:00 you might know him as Steve Urkel, is out now. And you, if you ever grew up watching any Family Members or T.J.I. Fridays whatsoever, you would definitely wanna listen to this or watch this episode. And in honor of him, we're dressed up as nerds today. Yeah, you're kinda giving Urkel, Justin. Justin is very much giving Urkel.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Yeah, put your pants a little bit more. Did I do that? I can't do impersonations. Yeah, it's nerd day here at the household for those of you listening. Nick really took it a step further with the duct tape. On, are those sunglasses that you punched out the glass? Yep.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Oh, you punched out the glass? Uh-huh. For this costume? Yeah, no, I'm committed to the bit. Wow. As someone who has actually had to tape my glasses just because I couldn't find a screw before. You had to?
Starting point is 00:07:41 Yeah, actually. Trauma? No, I'm just saying my culture is not your costume. Oh. Lame. You better take those glasses off right now. Who else, who else? Was it Megan Thee Stallion?
Starting point is 00:07:52 She also finds it to be offensive. So there's a clip from when she was in high school because she was a nerd and she actively talks about this and basically it's her being like, it's a discrimination to nerds everywhere. Honestly? We're celebrating nerds today. We're celebrating nerds. Yeah. a discrimination to nerds everywhere. Honestly? We're celebrating nerds today. We're celebrating her.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Yeah. We're not nerds. I mean, I came dressed as myself. I'm a Harry Potter nerd. In real life all day. I had all of this in my own. Potter nerds would call themselves Potterheads. Potterheads.
Starting point is 00:08:17 I am a Potterhead. Well, do you know what is heartbreaking? Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz ended their engagement. You know who's not heartbroken about it? Jenna Dewan. Jenna Dewan's fiance. Oh, he was the one who wrote ha ha ha ha ha? He's the one, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Wait, what? We took it a step further in the petty department. He posted on his Instagram story, ha ha ha ha ha. That's all he posted? The day it was announced, just a black screen, white font, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Aren't they trying to get his money? Yeah, they're suing him for Magic Mike money. Wow, I think some people need to utilize white font, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha like, ha ha ha. This, this ha ha went on. First of all, first of all.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Can I see it? If he was being tickled out of the, that's what he wrote. That much dexterity in his thumbs. He did. Maybe. He did all caps and it went on for forever. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:09:14 That's a loser behavior. At some point while he's writing that, Jenna had to be like, who are you texting? What are you doing? Because it went on for so long. They both did that together. Oh, she was over his shoulder. No, they for sure were looking at it like, yes,
Starting point is 00:09:27 one more line, perfect. I'm sure she follows him and saw it too. Back to like, why is he trying to get his money? I mean, I know they were married and everything, but like. Magic Mike has been. They got divorced how long ago? I remember we talked about it.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Well, him and Zoe have been together for three years. Yeah, so like five? That's the thing, that's what I was confused about because I don't think she worked on Magic Mike. They might have been married during the first one, but like it's like she wants. April 2nd of 2018 is when they announced they were separating.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Six years ago. But she wants like money that I think he didn't disclose for the divorce based off of like what she knows that he made off of Magic Mike. I could be wrong, but I'm. Which is kind of a traditional, when you become famous, pre-nup conversation. Well, also, Magic Mike also went to do a live show in Vegas
Starting point is 00:10:11 that's making a shit ton of money. They have a kid together. They're co-parenting together. Why is he writing ha ha ha ha ha ha ha? That's being gross. Also, why, I think that would be such an ick to have a fiance that's that obsessed with my ex-husband. Yeah, it's like, aren't you just wishing,
Starting point is 00:10:29 I don't know, for the father of your child to be happy? It's a weird thing to be so, it's so funny that the father of your child's engagement ended. And I don't know Jenna Dewan's personal finances, but I'm pretty sure she's rich. She's fine, in the grand scheme of things, but I guess anybody could be richer. Maybe they just didn't like the movie
Starting point is 00:10:51 that Doe Kravitz directed. Blink Twice. We have to watch that, is it good? Yeah, because it's great. I thought it was a very awesome, original idea, a great depiction of what happens at elite parties without it being this exaggerated, everyone's in cloaks and masks kind of thing.
Starting point is 00:11:06 It's just like kind of what the rich get up to. It's dark and it's a little uncomfortable, but she did an amazing job, an amazing job for her directorial debut. Did she break it off, do we know? Or are they like joint statement kind of like? There hasn't been a source close to the known betters? A source close has not confirmed who did the dumping.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Interesting. I wanna see the ex-wife and her husband, fiancees. Jenna and Steve. Wait, that's right. Shannon and Danim had a whole full-on relationship with someone in between. Jessie J. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:38 And they weren't engaged. Bang, bang. I don't know. And then they broke up, then they got back together, broke up again, and then he started dating Zoe. I mean, it's been a minute since him and Jenna. I think if Jenna and them get money.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Almost a decade. I think if Jenna gets money out of the magic mic of it all, as a kid of divorce, I think that money should primarily go to the child. That's my take. Yeah, which I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Channing is taking care of his daughter. A thousand percent.
Starting point is 00:12:01 You know? There's definitely some support in there, probably. But yeah, now I'm really sad about this breakup because I really liked them as a couple. They were a really hot couple. Yeah. And cute, they seemed to get each other, you know? I hate that.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Do you think that it's still people that have a kid together for us? Just to make more beauty in the world? Yeah. Just like. For us? For us. I think that's why also we're sad.
Starting point is 00:12:21 I mean, we want to see them. More Neppo babies. What could they make together? The Neppo universe. A Ne to see them more nepo baby. They make together The nepo universe the nepo baby an epo baby has an epo way Wow, we haven't seen levels like that since Billy Lord Granddaughter of a nepo baby who Billy Lord who is who's the who's the Lord's mom is Carrie Fisher? Carrie Fisher's mom is Debbie Reynolds Billy Lord's mom is Carrie Fisher Yeah, have you not seen her like extremely touching? Like she'll post like on the anniversary
Starting point is 00:12:47 Carrie Fisher died a lot. I obviously am outing myself as not following Billy Lord. Oh. I love Billy Lord. I love Carrie Fisher. I love Debbie Reynolds. It's like a really good. Where does Debbie Reynolds fit into this?
Starting point is 00:12:58 That's her grandma. Debbie Reynolds is Carrie Fisher's mom. There's actually an amazing movie with Meryl Streep. Halloween Town. That's in Halloween Town. Debbie Reynolds was in Halloween Town where- Star Wars. It's Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine
Starting point is 00:13:12 basically are playing Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds in this movie that Carrie Fisher wrote about her getting sober and having to go back and live with her mom. And Billie Lourdes an actor too, actress, right? Yeah, she was in Spring Creek. Debbie Reynolds was at Sarah and Wells' wedding that we hung out with.
Starting point is 00:13:23 That's Debbie Ryan. No, Debbie Ryan. Oh my God, but Debbie Ryan's iconic. Debbie Reynolds was in Singing in Spring Creek. Yeah, she was in Spring Creek. Debbie Reynolds was at Sarah and Wells' wedding that we hung out with. That's Debbie Ryan. No, Debbie Ryan. Oh my God, but Debbie Ryan's iconic. Debbie Reynolds was in Singin' in the Rain. You think Debbie Ryan is a grandma to Billy Lord? I'm just trying to keep up. Nick, do you have a letterbox? Debbie Ryan's iconic though.
Starting point is 00:13:37 A what? Don't download that. A letterbox. What's that? You review movies and you like. It's for movie nerds. Okay, sorry. Everyone's looking at me like I'm stupid. I've never heard of letterbox. It's for movie nerd you like it's for movie nerds. Okay, sorry Well, everyone's looking like I'm stupid. I've never heard of letterbox
Starting point is 00:13:47 You're like nerds movie nerds You love movies you watch a movie go on you go on letterbox You can like give it however many stars or whatever you want And then you can like leave a little review and you can look at everyone else's reviews You can follow your friends see what movies social media for people that are obsessed with movies Yeah, so you interact with and how is this different than Rotten Tomato? Because, or IMDb. These are normal people.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah, it's just like everyone. So this is like Rotten Tomatoes you would think are like people who knew what they're talking about, you know, but this is like the social media version of it. Isn't Rotten Tomatoes that too? I don't trust Rotten Tomatoes though. Well yeah, I don't trust it. Well they have a critic score
Starting point is 00:14:20 and then they have like a normie score. Yeah, it's basically if the normie score was like an app. It's a social media. Yeah. Okay. It's really fun. Did you see that the Menendez brothers might be home by Thanksgiving?
Starting point is 00:14:31 Well, that's what their lawyer is hoping for. I was just the most shocking part of this story was realizing that Mark Garagos, he was in his 30s when he was defending them back in the day. Yeah, around 35, I believe. He looked every bit of 60 back then. I think that was just the style.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Maybe. I'm not trying to age shame or anything like that. I think we just aged differently back in the day. Oh yeah, I'm like, if you look at a yearbook from the 80s, everybody looks like they're taking their employee photo. We've talked about this though, because little kids now look so much older. Yeah, Gen.
Starting point is 00:15:02 You know? Gen-A, V, Alpo. So I think we just look older in different versions. What is your? Gen X. It's Gen X? I'm a millennial. I'm a senior millennial.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Oh. I'm the first. I'm patient zero millennial. OK, so it's like Gen X aging badly. And then millennial. Sunscreen was created, so millennials have the sunscreen kind of. And preservatives.
Starting point is 00:15:23 I think we ate the right amount of preservatives. Microplastics. And then now I think Gen Z is full organic. And Gen Alpha. Well, more Gen Alpha. No, I think they're all processed food babies. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Gen Alpha.
Starting point is 00:15:35 More Gen Alpha. It's Gen Alpha. Gen Z, we're still a little normal. It's Jennifer Alpha. She is, she's aging them the same way that Gen X was aging them. She gave them. But I feel like it's like the organic food, no preservatives, no nothing.
Starting point is 00:15:47 They're just like, for Gen Alpha, that's why y'all are so dirty. But they're filled with microplastics. Sometimes you need to eat a honey bun, you know? Thank you. Oh my god, are those still a thing? Those were all the craze when I was in high school. They're at every gas station every year.
Starting point is 00:16:00 My economics teacher would tell me that there was whale fat in them. Whale fat? Yeah. That's what makes them so good. I'm also joking about the preservatives. I don't know that for a fact. I'm just thinking with us.
Starting point is 00:16:09 We don't know anything. That's my scientific assumption. This is all a bit. You guys were only dressed up as nerds. Someone's gonna be like. Yeah, we're not actual nerds. I please, just, you know, PSA. Speak for yourself.
Starting point is 00:16:19 While I appreciate you all listening to this show, I hope you're not coming to this show for any facts. Or information. Someone did DM me and say to the show for any facts or information. Someone did DM me and say you should put me through law school though, because of what I said last episode. What did you say last episode? Where you were like, he's petitioning,
Starting point is 00:16:33 and I was like, well, so it means it's up to the court, and you guys are like, no, no, no, no, no, no. And then the definition was literally what I said, just in more specific terms. You're the smartest one on the couch. So they're like, you should put, they said you should put me through court so that I can be the consultant.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Law school? Law school. Law school. So you wanna leave the Vowel Files and go to law school? What could it simultaneously, a little paralegal action? Paralegal? It could be Aaron Brockovich. Just feel like a little sack of black.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I would never for the record, I can't do that. On the topic of snacks though, I'm not gonna let this die. Gimme your Timbit or whatever the fuck it is called. Tim Tam. Tim Tam. Tim Tam. Tim Tam. Tim Tam.
Starting point is 00:17:10 One of our lovely listeners, Danny Jackson from Australia, heard our Tim Tam conversation. Thank you, Danny. Sent us a box of Australian snacks. In front of us I have the Vegemite on toast and Tim Tam. I'm not eating the Vegemite. Can you at least fake it? No. Act like you're faking it.
Starting point is 00:17:23 I think I've had it before. But you don't know. It looks not for me. Just give it a little nib. Grab a Tim Tam and a Vegemite. Can you at least fake it? Like act like you're a hater. I think I've had it before. But you don't know. It looks not for me. Just give it a little nib. Grab a Tim Tam in the Vegemite. What's the Tim Tam? The Tim Tam you'll for sure love. That's pure chocolate and biscuit.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Yeah, so do the toast first. Do the toast first. No, I'm not doing the Vegemite. And he still took the smallest bite of a Tim Tam. That's pretty good. It tastes like a Kit Kat. Yeah, kind of. Okay, well I'm gonna try the Vegemite.
Starting point is 00:17:42 I'll try the Vegemite too. Ooh, ooh, the Vegemite is really salty. Yeah, I'm. OK, well, I'm going to try the Vegemite. I'll try the Vegemite too. Oh, oh, the Vegemite is really salty. Yeah, I'm good on that. Oh, whoa. I'll do the Tim Tam though. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa. I don't mind the Vegemite. Oh my God, I hate that.
Starting point is 00:17:54 I think you might have just only gotten Toast. No, I actually got the salt. You look like you're getting it. Oh my God, it's so salty. To me? Yeah. Not a bite. Because I had the... It tastes like you dumped a bunch of... You know what? For my Australian people out there, give it back. Tim Tam. To me? Yeah. Not a bite. Because I had the... Is that the Squidward bite?
Starting point is 00:18:05 It tastes like you dumped a bunch of... You know what? For my Australian people out there, give it back. Tim Tam. Tim Tam is good. Tim Tam is good. The Vegemite tastes like if you took a top ramen packet of seasoning and like dumped it on a piece of toast.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Yes, it does. Wow. Look, look at this giant taste. The Tim Tam is delicious. You see this, Natalie? That was so graceful. Delicious. How are you feeling?
Starting point is 00:18:27 It tastes like soy sauce. You look sick. Soy sauce? You do. Are you okay? I'm good. Keep chewing. Keep on chewing.
Starting point is 00:18:35 He looks away. That's good. You're getting more and more dehydrated as you eat this. This is very salty, I will say. It's good. Sierra. And our lovely Australians eat this in the morning. This is like a breakfast food.
Starting point is 00:18:46 I'm not educated, but every show that I've seen bachelor-esque that takes place in Australia, it's always Vegemite. Wait, isn't that, I love Lucy, the Vegemite. Vegemite. Vegemite. Yeah. Kind of burns the tongue.
Starting point is 00:18:59 That one's not for me, but the Tim Tam's are great. Tim Tams are good though. We have a whole pack for you, Nick, to take home. Another topic. What? Did you see that if your airline is delayed by three hours for domestic flights or six hours for international flights, you can get a refund?
Starting point is 00:19:12 A full? Cash refund. That's crazy. Yeah. How does it? A full refund? So this was just made active recently. And basically, what I said, if your flight is delayed, the flights are required to give you a cash refund. But do you still get on the flight? I understand it as you either choose the flight
Starting point is 00:19:28 or you choose the refund. Right. Right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right. So if your flight's delayed three and a half hours, you can just opt out. Yeah, I would assume. But who would do that? Yeah, I would do it.
Starting point is 00:19:38 I would take the money and just get a cheaper flight later. What if it's not cheaper? And what if you have a place to be? What if it's more expensive? I would take the refund and be like, you set me up, give me more. Oh, okay. That works.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Justin has an incredible follow through, I will say that. I would do that, wait a minute. Even to his own demise. Yeah. Yeah, we've learned. Do you have the heart of a scammer? I don't scam. No, he's anti-scammer.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I get what I'm, I'm anti. That's true, that's what it is. She's just saying the perseverance. The perseverance of a scammer. Like you would make a great scammer if that's what you chose to do, but you've gone down a good path. And Nick is, for the people listening,
Starting point is 00:20:10 Nick is saying this because on Plus, I told them how I had a war with Black and Decker. Pop extra for those who don't know. Yes, I had a war with Black and Decker because they scammed me. Yeah. And I reported that to the Better Business Bureau. He got in a fight with Black and Decker
Starting point is 00:20:20 when all he had to do was just reach out to Amazon. Call Amazon. And I did, but I also got compensated through Black & Decker too. Four months later. Yeah, true, that is true. Did you get compensated by Amazon as well? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:31 So you did scam. I didn't scam. Wait, you got a double dip? Oh, hell yeah. You got it twice. You failed though. I didn't scam. I didn't scam.
Starting point is 00:20:39 I didn't scam. Amazon was like, here's a refund so you can buy the piece. I bought the piece, but because I reported Black & Decker to Better Business Bureau, they were like. The BBB. The BBB. Amazon was like, here's a refund so you can buy the piece. I bought the piece, but because I reported Black and Decor better business bureau, they were like, the BBB, they basically were like, you know what, we're gonna refund the money you spent on that piece. So I got like.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Double. No, I just got the money back. So basically I didn't spend anything, I got what Amazon gave me. What did you get from Black and Decor? So you made money. No, well yeah, I did make money. That's scam.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Well I had to buy the piece anyways. I had to buy the piece, It just was not as expensive. Do you think if you had all the resources in the world, you could be dangerous in a good way? No, I think I would like... Could you be a fixer? I would reallocate. Like if I were a billionaire and I was like, you know what I need in my life?
Starting point is 00:21:16 I need a fixer. You know, like every rich person has a person who fixes things and does things behind the scenes. But I'm the rich person? No, you're the fixer. You're the fixer. How much are you paying? Did you watch Scandal? Unlimited.
Starting point is 00:21:27 I watched Scandal, I on how to go with her. Like his Olivia Pope. Olivia Pope was the reason I wanted to go to law school. You wanna go to law school? No, I wanted to. I rested my case. Oh. I reject.
Starting point is 00:21:38 No longer. What, like it's hard? Anyways, we were talking about the airlines before and Nick raised a point that it was like, if you get the refund and still get to take the flight then every corporation would just like send the flight off regardless if it was safe or not. Corvin America, I don't think they care about us. So real. That's probably true. I did chase one of our neighbors yesterday.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Oh, for what? On foot, on car? We have the video. See that's the thing, it's always the footage, I will say. Should we post this? Maybe, I wanna hear it first. It was around 3.50 in the afternoon,
Starting point is 00:22:11 and I said, River, let's go check the mail, honey. And we go outside, we check the mail, we go back inside, 10 minutes later, Nick texts like, oh, I'm almost home. So I'm like, oh, River, let's go greet daddy out front. We go outside, there is the biggest pile of shit on our driveway. Like dog.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Honestly, could have been human. Like it was the biggest, it was crazy. It was the biggest thing I've ever seen in my life. And I was like, did someone just come and shit on our driveway? And then I thought it was, did you tell the story about the woman at the park? Anyways, I thought it was the woman from the park.
Starting point is 00:22:45 Who followed you home. Followed you home and put, yeah. So then I'm like, who? So then I check our cameras. It was on the grass or it was on the actual pavement? Our actual driveway. Oh, see that's on him. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:22:54 My car would have backed up and would have everywhere. So then I check our cameras. I couldn't see it from the camera angle. It was in a weird spot. You know what I'm saying? So I go to my neighbor who has a clear, direct view of our driveway and I'm like, listen buddy, I need the camera angle. It was in a weird spot, you know what I'm saying? So I go to my neighbor who has a clear direct view of our driveway and I'm like, listen buddy, I need your camera footage.
Starting point is 00:23:09 So we're looking through and it's a man with two golden retrievers and he lets his golden retriever take a dump and then he realizes that the dog's taking a dump and he looks away, looks at the camera and then is like, I'm gonna act like I don't know this is happening. So he's looking around, scratching his head. The other dog then goes around and smells it
Starting point is 00:23:33 and then he walks off and leaves. That's so bad. While wearing a neon orange jacket and a green hat with two golden retrievers, bitch. So I'm like, oh, you're gonna be easy to fucking spot. So then I'm like, I need to're going to be easy to fucking spot. So then I'm like, I need to get in my car. I need to go find this man.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Let's drive around the block looking for this man. I think he must have lived close and ran into his house, but I know what he looks like and I know what his dogs look like and I won't let this die. Where did the turd go? So whenever I was talking to my neighbor, he had a friend who was like walking up to the house and I was like, will you grab him?
Starting point is 00:24:05 Because you don't want to be rolling over. You're chasing, you're busy. I was busy, I was working. And so then this friend comes over and he picks it up and puts it in the trash can. And then Nick pulled up as soon as he put it in the trash can and my neighbor was like, oh, we should have shown Nick. And I was like, no, I believe you guys.
Starting point is 00:24:20 Yeah. Big piece of shit. I respect that though. You're giving Claire Dunphy in this moment. It's very Claire Dunphy kind of. Who's Claire? Modern family. Claire's modern family.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Sarah's mom on the show. Billy Bowen. Billy Bowen. But that's a good thing. Yeah. Okay. She is Lady Houseboots. Yes, I feel like I keep saying Karen-era,
Starting point is 00:24:39 but I don't think it's Karen because it's not like I'll talk to your manager. You're like her daughter, Julie. I don't think she's Karen either. I'm not like I'll talk to your manager. I'm like, I, Julie. I don't think she's Karen either. I'm not like I'll talk to your manager. I'm like I'll fuck you up. Nick called me a Karen too. It's fairness.
Starting point is 00:24:49 It's just like, you know, like whatever. I think Karen is more like if you're in the wrong in an overreaction situation, like that person at the park who, we told this story on Plus, but like, yeah, we were at the park and some lady came up, I don't even want to tell her. She went out of her way to address you guys. Yeah, she, yeah, we were at the park and some lady came up. I don't even want to tell her. She went out of her way to address you guys. Yeah, she, yeah, it was ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:25:07 No, she said, my son wants to play here. And wanted us to move with our dogs. And I was like, ma'am, this is a large park. Please find somewhere else to play. That's ridiculous. But where we have blankets out, we have our baby, we're thrown fetch with our dogs and you want us to pack up and move?
Starting point is 00:25:22 Sorry. But I felt like that was a Karen moment. She was a Karen. Yes. She was definitely a Karen. She brought up the law. She brought up the law. That's what I think.
Starting point is 00:25:30 If you bring up the law or rules, you're the Karen. Absolutely. It's very Lisa Barlow. What would we call Lisa Barlow a Karen? Yes, but I respect her Karen because she's using other people to talk. Why are you so obsessed with Lisa Barlow? I'm not. I just respect her knowledge of using the law.
Starting point is 00:25:44 As a former person who wanted to go to law school, Justin appreciates her knowledge of the law. I respect her because she overreacts and I acknowledge that's her. Also her and Sutton recently spoke out to HYU about their support of the LGBTQIA community and I very much respect that too. For sure. So she has a lot of glorifying parts of her personality. And most Karens don't most Karens don't but also
Starting point is 00:26:06 Someone pooping and not scooping it. That's crazy I wonder we felt targeted. I did and then I was like I wonder if like maybe he left and he's like gonna come back with like a bag like drop the dogs off come Maybe he didn't have a poop bag with him, right? I'm like giving him all the benefit of the doubts Then I'm watching he never shows back up He never shows back up and to be like, oh, poop's not there. If that were me, I would have knocked on the door and I would have been like, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I don't have any bags. My dog just took a giant shit in your driveway and I'm gonna run home. Do you have, if you don't have a bag, I'm gonna run home, I'm gonna get, I'm gonna pick it up. But like, he disappeared. And now I know what he looks like. And now I know what his, yes, the look around,
Starting point is 00:26:44 the look around the look You can move your dog over to the side letting him do it on the driveway not the grass also one hinge exactly It was it was yeah, it was a moment where I was like I won't let this die I also chased a solicitor the other day because I have a sign that says no soliciting and they knock and they came to The door and it was a dog barked. No, it wasn't not a girl scout girls got I would have let it pass It was someone being like, oh, thank God. I am one for the door. Dogs barked. No, it wasn't not a Girl Scout. A Girl Scout, I would have let it pass. It was someone being like, we're a thank God. I am one for the children, hello. It was someone being like, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:10 if you're looking to sell your house, we have people who wanna buy. I don't give a fuck. I'm not sure. If I wanted to sell my house, bitch, I'd have a for sale sign. Okay? And they come to the door, the dogs bark,
Starting point is 00:27:20 it wakes up my baby. Now I'm pissed. Now I'm angry. I have a crying baby. I go outside and she's like, ah, do you have a question? And I was like, I actually do have a question. I have a sign that says no soliciting
Starting point is 00:27:31 and yet someone still came up to my door and solicited. And they were like, oh, we're just trying to do our job. I get it, but like- Children can't read, but you can. Maybe let's not go to the front doors of people who have signs. So I am, those things that are starting to piss me off as a mother and the people who speed through the neighborhood. I'm those things that are starting to piss me off as a mother
Starting point is 00:27:45 And the people who speed through the neighborhood. I I've been Fills trying to sell a house to this woman who like keeps speeding through the driveway and like and Claire's so mad I'm making signs. She's in the street chasing down the car. Yeah I'm gonna send you that episode for sure. Please do. Yeah, that's me. I'm like, there's kids here! As people like speed by.
Starting point is 00:28:13 I actually respect the ignoring the no soliciting sign as a former salesperson. Respect or ignore it? He respects the ignoring. Oh. Yeah. If they're children. No. I mean, listen.
Starting point is 00:28:24 You can't call Nicole calls like this. I want a no soliciting sign for my door. You know you you you miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take. I do agree with that. Listen and I. You gotta have thick skin if you're gonna knock on some doors. But I also understand like I am an influencer I'm soliciting to people who honestly probably don't want to be solicited some of the time. But it is different. Thank you, it is different. But it's more so like- You can close Instagram.
Starting point is 00:28:49 You can't. It's harder to close a door than it is. I can't move my house. They don't have to follow you. You know what? Yeah, I take that back. Unfollowing is a lot cheaper than moving. That's so true.
Starting point is 00:29:00 To be fair, you don't have to follow Natalie to see her. She's just like, colostrum, armo. Period. Literally. Period. Literally. Period. I'm trying to let the people know. You're on every other slide. This shit's good.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Southern charm is also good with a new season. It is good. Very excited. When does it come out? December 5th. We'll be talking about that. And what's his name? X?
Starting point is 00:29:20 X-Ters on it? Well, so we have new cast members, Sally Carson and Molly O'Connell as friends. Why does the name Sally Carson sound familiar? Was she on Bachelor? Was that the girl on like Clayton season who left day one? One of them's on The Bachelor, so I think it is Sally. That her?
Starting point is 00:29:35 The one who showed up, left, showed up again for Paradise Left again? Yeah, isn't that her? She was on Clayton season of The Bachelor. Yeah, what? Nice callback. I was like, that name sounds so familiar. Yeah. Okay, so now she's trying. Do you think she's gonna show up Bachelor. What? Nice callback. She's from Charleston. She sounds so familiar. Yeah? Okay, so now she's trying.
Starting point is 00:29:46 So do you think she's gonna show up and leave again? She'll bring a rose. Interesting. Is she the one? Is she the sexter? No, no, I think she might be the one that hooks up with Jesse. Somebody hooks up with Jesse Solomon this season.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Well, it's not Jesse. Oh, that's no, fuck, I'm on the wrong show. I'm on the wrong show. I'm on the wrong show. But they do have crossovers. I was like, whoa, crossover. But they have crossovers. They do.
Starting point is 00:30:04 So basically, Molly used to sex Craig back in the day. But they do have crossovers. I was like, whoa, crossover. But there's crossovers. They have crossovers. They do. So basically, Molly used to sex Craig back in the day. Craig is dating Paige, summer house. So there was a crossover. And this is Molly's storyline, as I used to expect. Molly used to sex with Craig. I used to send news. So she wants to go toe to toe with Paige.
Starting point is 00:30:18 She's in the trailer saying, it's not like I'm going to steal him away from Paige. Oh, boy. Do you think Paige cares? Paige gives zero fucks. Paige is too powerful. She's like, okay, nice. Paige is the type of bitch that's like,
Starting point is 00:30:28 if you could take him, he can leave. I've never watched any of these shows. I guess your news couldn't close the deal. Yeah, right? But I know who Paige Dessorbeau is. She'll snap a finger and go. So like, do we think Paige should have been a housewife instead of Brynn?
Starting point is 00:30:43 I've been seeing that and I would love that, but I'm also kind of like, I still feel like Paige is too young versus like with the other women, even though she is kind of, Erin's 30. How old is Paige? Well, Erin gives older. Early 30s? So Raquel, when she joined from New Jersey,
Starting point is 00:30:58 wasn't she in her young, or young 30s or late 20s? I feel like the youngest housewife was like 38. She's the youngest. Brynn is 38. Rachel's daughter,'s the youngest. Brynn is 38. Rachel's daughter, Rachel Buda. Brynn is 38. How old's Rachel Buda? Rachel Buda is 33, but she joined like 30 or 29.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Damn. Okay. So she's the youngest all time housewife. So Paige could have been. But I would have loved Paige on Housewives to be honest. She'd bring like the nice, the humor, that wit, that like lightheartedness. Oh my god you guys, stop taking yourselves so seriously.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Yeah, her and Jenna would have a really good like, They'd have a laugh at everyone. Fashion, yeah. But I, not, well, get into it. Her and Jenna would have a really good like, fashion. They'd have a laugh at everyone. Yeah. But I, not, well, get into it. I just feel like there's too much getting along on Roni. Honestly, they all seem lovely. The cast of Roni, it's just like,
Starting point is 00:31:33 they all seem kind of like nice and normal and cool and I wanna be friends with all of them. And it's just like- They seem like real people. Yeah. Yeah. Unproblematic almost. They need to be mobsters.
Starting point is 00:31:43 Yeah. It's like classy in a way. Yeah. Well, we were kind of talking about that before we started filming because the original Rony, the whole like appeal of it was that these women were so rich and so aloof about it that the edits kind of almost made fun of how wealthy and out of touch they are. Whereas this cast is very grounded,
Starting point is 00:32:02 but you really don't know outside of Jenna Lyons like who's wealthy, like what ball field we're playing in. You know what I mean? Whereas like we had Sonja Morgan, who was from like the Morgan family, married into the Morgan family. You have Ramona, who's completely delusional. Luan, who was a countess.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Countess, yeah. Like whereas this cast were- We miss those days. You know what I mean? And this cast were like, I'm doing good, I don't know how much better you're doing than me. And they all have these really emotional moments
Starting point is 00:32:25 where you're really endeared to them, just like this episode. Sy. Sy. Sy. I love that. Her mom passing. It's just like, I don't wanna. I wanna see that. I don't wanna be mean to any one of these people.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Oh yeah. Yeah. Not even mean, but it's just like, they make it too easy to wanna see the good in all of this entire cast. Fair. Yeah, I think they're trying to do like something different which is like Actual like you actually want to be these people instead of like you want to kind of make fun of these people which I feel
Starting point is 00:32:53 Like is what house they're trying to do what they were trying to do actual aspirational They were trying they're trying to do now what they were trying to do with Leah McSweeney with a Yoji cast Which is bringing in younger less like uber rich people but more realistic people and then Liam Mc but more realistic people, and then Liam McSweeney. And yeah. I love Liam McSweeney. I love Leah. But you know what? I think we do all love just a big character on Housewives,
Starting point is 00:33:12 especially Rihanna, following Bronwyn. Yeah dude. What a big day for Bronwyn. They share the same coat. They can twin. They share the same Instagram page now. Yeah. Coolest celebrity that follows you?
Starting point is 00:33:22 Nick Viall. That can't be possible. Do I follow now? Yeah. Coolest celebrity that follows you? Nick Viall. That can't be possible. Do I follow you? Wow. I'm gonna unfollow right now. The shade. Who's the coolest person that follows you, Nick? Ryan Reynolds.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Ryan Reynolds, that is a good one. That's a really good one. I may have went like, ah! I do think you cried a little actually. Yeah, it was emotional. He was not walking around, he was floating, gliding on Cloud 9. Me?
Starting point is 00:33:52 You wanna be fed by me? You like my content? Did you screenshot? No. Has he viewed any of your stories? I don't know. You haven't checked? I don't know how to check that.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Somebody else does that for me. I haven't posted on my own Instagram in years. I have a handful of times checked to see if he unfollowed me. That's why I said screenshot. And he's paranoid. He's like, was it real? I was just like, I'm definitely afraid. I've been followed and unfollowed before. It happens all the time.
Starting point is 00:34:19 And I just was, you know, just. So what I need to know. I've still got it. I'll find you. Is every Instagram post going forward. Everything is about Ryan Reynolds. Justin did unfollow him today. Thirst trap for Ryan Reynolds.
Starting point is 00:34:32 This is for you, Ryan. Wearing his Deadpool. That's so funny. We're happy for you, Nick. It's actually a perfect opportunity for Halloween. Yeah. It should have been Deadpool. Congratulations to Whitney of Secret Lives.
Starting point is 00:34:46 She had her new baby. Yeah. She had a baby. Congratulations to Billie Jean Levitt. Billie Jean. Billie Jean. Billie Jean, what a name. What a name, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Wow. That is, yeah, that is Michael Jackson's. Billie Jean, yeah, wow. And then what, her and Whitney, other Whitney? Is there a crossover? Dilling names it Greening. Yeah. Yeah, so there her and Whitney other Whitney Yeah, yeah, so there's a movie coming out a 24 I messed up the pronunciation heretic Here I think it's everything here. What's it? Because that's like it's a well heretic is someone who like It's it's it's yeah sure. So basically, H24 has a movie coming out, Heretic, and they're hosting two separate
Starting point is 00:35:29 competing screenings of the film, battling of the Whitney's. So like one Whitney from Mormon Eyes will be at it, one Whitney from Salt Lake City will be at the other one. Who do we think's gonna win? Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City. Heretic is a person believing in or practicing religious heresy.
Starting point is 00:35:42 There we go. So it's connection to like Mormonism. It's about like a Mormon heretic, I think. God, ew. These two Whitney's could not be more different. One is tightly wound and the other one is kinda like. A lot of people compared them. I mean, if I had to choose, I'd go to Whitney Rose's
Starting point is 00:35:57 in a heart theme. Oh my gosh, yeah. A lot of people said it was the bob that made the knock the way they do. The fuck ass bob. And I love both of them. And I love both of them. And I love both of them. They do both have a Bob.
Starting point is 00:36:06 They seem like very different type of personalities. Oh, I agree. But some would say that Whitney Mormon Wives now is Whitney when she started back then. Whitney has had like a huge transformation. Really, you know, her hilling journey. Hilling journey. Yeah, I love Whitney.
Starting point is 00:36:22 All right, now it's time for stats and vibes and it's time to bring in Danny Amendola and Whitney Carson. Starting point is 00:39:44 Thank you. Danny, how have you been? Fantastic. How's the dancing, but that's awesome. Congratulations. Thank you. Danny, how have you been? Fantastic. How's the dancing going? It's amazing. Yeah. So fun. Just learning new stuff every day, all day long.
Starting point is 00:39:52 My brain feels like mashed potatoes half the week. So. Is the worst day the first day after the next week? 100%. We're like, fuck another dance. Yeah. Wednesday afternoon is like a very, Wednesday and Thursday, very stressful for me. what was more stressful dancing or special forces? That's a good question
Starting point is 00:40:13 Special forces is insane. It was a different level of stress though. Like I am not even close to a Navy SEAL Like not even close. Yeah, I think dancing is is more stressful When special forces, Danny? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uh I went out there just to jump out end. Do you tore it? I tore my rotator and my bicep tendon. Why didn't they, like they mentioned you had an injury, but they kind of were like, yeah, he's going to hurt. I kept it under wraps and I told the producers, I was like, listen, I could leave right now and feel amazing
Starting point is 00:40:54 or I could try to stick it out. And they're like, we'll alter the last couple of things. And I show up to the last mission and it was like, I had to wear a 15 pound weighted vest and swim across this lagoon and I'm like you guys didn't change anything yeah 100% and I you know I just sucked it up got through it and then the last night was really torture the torture scene and I had to have my arms on the wall for like six hours and I eventually just couldn't hold my arm up anymore and I'm like, all right.
Starting point is 00:41:26 Oh, yeah, you had to do that with the torn rotator cuff. I started smelling the cheeseburgers from the production next door and I'm like, yeah. I'm outta here. You like that now? You came here. We were filming in New Zealand and like every mission we went on, we drove through town.
Starting point is 00:41:39 So we were driving through like society and like all these restaurants and people outside and that was the worst part. Oh yeah. Like I was telling Danny before we started, like the hardest part of it, I'm a picky eater and they feed you prison food. I don't know how some of you guys. Wow.
Starting point is 00:41:52 So you did Special Forces? Yeah. Just catching up. Okay, got it. Yeah, I know you don't follow me. It's cool. I'm sorry. Nick won Special Forces.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Or he completed Special Forces. You completed, you passed it. Good job. That's intense. I went like four more hours than Danny basically. I also didn't have a torn rotator cuff, so it's a little different. What was your craziest mission that you did there in your mind?
Starting point is 00:42:16 Well, it was the, we had this boat race that they kind of made up. It was like the equivalent of the, when you guys pushed the Jeep, and it was like what felt like four miles of them just like, you going full, yeah. And like, you know, you're going maximum effort for the whole time.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Yeah, 100%. Like that was tough. And I was like, we did well. So I was like, my adrenaline was high, but like that completed my tank. And then that night we had to fight. And then the next day they woke us up and did a bee sting. It was like freezing out. And they did one of those courses
Starting point is 00:42:48 and we had to like just like sit in like freezing water. And that's when I got hypothermic. And that just fucked me up. And I was about to quit. I just suffered for three days. Just trying to finish. Yeah. Did you watch your season back?
Starting point is 00:43:01 I did, yeah. As they came out, I watched them. Did you feel like it was a lot harder that you experienced in watching it? Yeah, it didn't depict the level of stress and kind of depletion. They didn't feed you. It was very stressful. And it didn't portray on film as much as it did out in the middle of the desert. Yeah, because part of what was difficult was just like it was 18 Like it was this long days, and yeah, that was made it so hard. Yeah, like everything lasted forever
Starting point is 00:43:33 Yeah, 45 minutes. Yeah, and then they show a two-minute clip of you like pushing a Jeep and you're like we did that for three hours That's crazy, but dancing yeah, it's a different type of stress. It is. For me, the whole performance aspect is what I'm learning the most, like encompassing facial and posture and actually getting emotionally locked into each dance. The footwork, I can get down. It's everything else that's kind of been a struggle or been a challenge.
Starting point is 00:44:06 So that's where I'm really kind of trying to hone in and obviously take notes from Whitney and then some of the other guys on the show too. In the nicest way possible, you're surprisingly very good. Yeah. I mean like every dance you get better and better, which I guess is the point of it. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I feel like he is getting better and better, which is yeah, the point of it. Yeah, yeah. I feel like he is getting better and better, which is, yeah, exactly. The point of the show is taking somebody that doesn't have any dance experience at all. So I feel like there are some really good dancers, but the fact that he's keeping up is just a testament to how hard we actually really, really work. How long did you last?
Starting point is 00:44:42 Quarterfinals? Top five. Top five, okay, got it. Me and... Pretty good. Me and... Who was your partner? PETA.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Okay. It was a double elimination, me and Nancy Kerrigan, the Olympic gold medalist. Was I on that season? Well, I was a pro, yeah? Like, who was my celeb? Do you remember? We're gonna have to look back in the archives.
Starting point is 00:45:01 We'll find out. You were definitely on. Yeah, I was definitely on. I can't remember who you had though. I think you were early elimination though. I think. Was it Chris Kattan? Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Okay, yeah. Whoa, that was a special one. Danny, you've never seen that film. I haven't seen that film. Yeah, like, yeah, no. Danny, since you're a professional football player, we do this thing called Vi versus Stats every week, and we figured maybe you could, like,
Starting point is 00:45:27 I'm always solo every week picking games, while the rest of the team has partners in crime. So you guys down to play Vi versus Stats with us? Let's do it. Whitney, you got this. Yeah, I got it. I'll just play on. Well, the Packers is Nick's team.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Do you have a team that you root for? No, I don't. Yeah, I played for seven teams. Wait, wait, let me see if I can get it. You played for the Rams. You played for the Patriots. Yeah. All right, well, five more, so we'll be here all night.
Starting point is 00:45:55 So I started out in Dallas. Did you, really? Undrafted free agent to Dallas was on practice squad for a year. Got cut, went to Philly for a cup of coffee, went through camp there, got cut, put on practice squad for a year. Damn. Got cut, went to Philly for a cup of coffee, went through camp there, got cut, put on practice squad my second, my beginning of my second year. Then I got picked up in St. Louis for the Rams for ended up being there for four years.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Okay. I kind of got a role there, kind of broke into the league there and then got a contract in New England, stayed there for five years and then- Super Bowl champ? Yep. Yeah. And then went to Miami, Detroit, and then Houston. And then I coached for the Raiders last year. So that's the eighth.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Do you want to maybe get into coaching? I thought I did. And I'll always have that. My father's a football coach and it's the only thing I've ever known. It was great. The hours are gnarly. In my life right now, I don't wanna spend 16 hours a day in the office. Maybe in the future.
Starting point is 00:46:53 Yeah, in the future, later down the line. The first time I remember knowing who you were, you played for the Rams. And I wonder if you remember, it was a game, and I think you broke your collarbone or something, and you slammed your helmet on the sideline. I'm like, this motherfucker's a game, and I think you like broke your collarbone or something and you like slammed your helmet on the sideline I'm like, this motherfucker's a badass I remember that game, like this motherfucker was cool
Starting point is 00:47:10 Yeah, we played, that was a Thursday night game versus the Cardinals and it was I was going into my contract year And it was like I was having a good season kind of beat up the year and I was really I really needed to get a Contract that year so I could kind of like, you know, take care of my family and you know It would it was the next big step in my career and I broke and I separated my my chest and yeah in rehearsals I'm like get your chest out he's like I literally can't like I broke my sternum. Okay so you're a robot. How do you tell that like to the judges like fixed your posture? He's no, but I can't Okay, you grade me on like just not being able to
Starting point is 00:47:50 Yeah, and like his all he's got like a plate in his foot. I'm like point your foot. He's like I literally Metal Let's do some vibe versus stats taking away Mary all right we have a very special edition of vibe versus stats this week. It is a mascot dance-off Okay this week we have the Arizona Cardinals Sorry, sorry to bring Arizona Cardinals back Yeah, we have their mascot big red
Starting point is 00:48:22 versus the Chicago Bears with Yeah, we have their mascot, Big Red, versus the Chicago Bears with Mr. Chicago himself, Staley the Bear. He is swaggy. I love this guy. This bear with the sunglasses and this tuxedo. He is super swaggy. Wow.
Starting point is 00:48:35 How this is gonna work is I'm gonna show a video of each mascot dancing. Okay. And with dancing knowledge, vibes is gonna decide Would win me okay in dancing with the stars Between these two mascots and then you know knowledge can be knowledgeable. This is gonna be I can already tell this is gonna be good He's gonna Doug. He's gonna Dougie. This is like filmed on someone's blackberry This is at the AJ Hawk jersey in the background.
Starting point is 00:49:05 This is at the Rookie Symposium in LA. I love that you knew that. Yeah. Wow. Yep. How'd you know? I feel like he's- It's not the best dougie.
Starting point is 00:49:18 It's kind of off the music. His feet look a little sloppy. It's not a proper dougie, that's for sure. It's not a proper Dougie. That's for sure. He's not a proper Doug. He's not a proper Doug. Listen, he's got some swag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:32 He's got rhythm. He seems like he's feeling it. He's into it emotionally. Yeah, he has rhythm. Yeah. The spirit is there. He's not doing it for free. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:39 All right. And then we have Staley Dabare. Love that. The slow zoom. Oh, I die. He uses his hips. I would die for him. Okay, love the footwork.
Starting point is 00:49:53 I love how the belly moves. Oh my god. I love the belly. Wait. Oh my god. And the belly and the booty. Oh my god. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Well. His belly's connected to his booty. Yeah. Yeah. He is absolutely shitting on this Cardinal. He's got 100% yeah. That was so good. So yeah, I mean Chicago's a music town.
Starting point is 00:50:17 True. He has it in his blood. He has it in his blood. The Arizona Cardinals team doesn't really have any vibes, kind of period. Their team history is kind of lame. They, yeah, they've been struggling the past few years, but, you know. Formally up, the Cardinals used to be the Chicago Cardinals.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Did you know that? No, I did not. That's crazy. Oh, so they lost all their vibes when they moved to Arizona? I don't know. I don't know. So do you feel like you need to pick the Cardinals because you have some underlying
Starting point is 00:50:46 loyalty there or are you like I don't I don't have any loyalty to the Cardinals. I don't have much loyalty to any team. I love the Patriots because we won some Super Bowls together and I have a brotherhood there. But I love the Chicago Bears jerseys. So I would definitely pick the Bears in this one. It's feeling like a vibe choice and I'm with it. I'm with it too, yeah. I think the Bear took it. I wonder where they're playing the game. Yeah, where they're playing. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:51:10 They're playing in Arizona. In AZ, yeah. That might be, I might be leaning towards the Cardinals just to win the game and overall stats. I feel like the Cardinals, yeah. I'm feeling big red. I wanna go, I think we should go Cardinals. Yeah, they have an experienced quarterback.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Anytime you have a rookie quarterback with Caleb Williams in Chicago, it's going to be tough. He's a great quarterback. It just takes two or three years for a rookie to get acclimated with the NFL system. So if I was a betting man, I would go Cardinals for the actual game. If we're talking stats here. Knowledge is going cardinals. Would this change your opinion, though, to watch the Chicago Bears in 1985 do the Super Bowl shuffle? Absolutely. They were undefeated.
Starting point is 00:51:55 That team is so good. Oh, stop it. Who is number 72, Nick? Do you remember him? 72. The Fridge. The Fridge. What about 50?
Starting point is 00:52:05 You know 50? Singletary? Yep, and who's this right here? These are the actual players? That's Walter Payne, that's Jim McMahon. Oh my God. Wait, this is incredible. Like hands down, wins.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Richard Dent, 95. Is this how you danced before you went on Dancing with the Stars? Yeah, probably. This is probably actually a little bit better. A little bit better, I'd say. I was like, Danny, give me something. Well, give me anything.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Whitney was like, what do you do? And I'm like, I can do the jerk. That's pretty much it. I was like, where are we going to, how do you think these guys would go on Dancing with the Stars? It looks like they got rhythm. You know, they're not afraid to kind of put themselves out there, you know. I think they would do well. I mean, all football players historically have done pretty well on Dancing with the Stars. Yeah, like they've got great footwork and they're strong and have great work ethic for the most part.
Starting point is 00:53:00 So they would kill it. And they know how to shuffle. They know how to shuffle. Professional football players on Dancing with the Stars have a pretty good track record Rashad Jennings won last season, Donald drivers won, specifically Wyvern Johnson. Yep. Did he win? Calvin got close. I think he did a freestyle so yeah basically what I'm saying Dan is you you have to be Joey because the Bachelors always go home the same week basically. But Joey's doing well. You guys have a great fan base and he is a good dancer. He's a good dancer. His Tarzan
Starting point is 00:53:31 was legit. Was legit. Yeah. I'm like, okay, let's give him some higher scores than he is. But I have also never seen a dance go as viral as the move that y'all have created. That was pretty crazy. It was crazy. Yeah, it was. We did not expect it. Like we were just going through our feed and then it kind of just like happened. And Danny was like, are we viral or is my algorithm like messed up? I'm like, I think everyone's doing it. And then everyone started to come to us and we're like, great. Yeah. Yeah. The other night now is like, we got to do this move. It's Whitney and Danny Dance. And it is incredibly hard. I was like, what? I can't do this.
Starting point is 00:54:07 I have a thigh cramp. I'm still recovering from it. Right. You guys killed it though. Yeah, you guys did kill it. Yeah, but you're supposed to be light and feathery. And I don't know if we were. No, you did good. It's honestly a lot to do with the girl just like arching.
Starting point is 00:54:25 Like did you ever, did you have like that back pain at all or no? I probably did not. He was like, should we, let's, now that we've got it down, like let's do a couple more takes and really get it perfect. And I was like, I have no interest in doing that. I don't want to get back down on this Marvel floor. Yeah, I was like all taped up like after that. Like I was, that was a hard move. We actually kind of, what do we, when you call it,
Starting point is 00:54:49 when you don't do it, when you spot it or what is that called? Mark it. Mark it, we mark it. We marked it a lot of the week because your back was kind of sore. Yeah, my back was messed up. So don't do it too many times, everybody, okay? Be safe out there.
Starting point is 00:55:02 It's tough, yeah. Yeah, a lot of people. What do we got for our second game? For our second game? For our second game. Okay, to confirm, we got knowledge with the Cardinals. We're going to go Cardinals. And then we have ads with the Bears, Super Bowl, Scrooge, and the West Daly.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Alright. With our second game, we have the Miami Dolphins. I hate him. He just, he looks creepy. Versus the Bumperlow Bills and we have- A division game. We have- Two of and we have TD the Dolphin. But if I may introduce to the room TD Air. Yeah, who is that?
Starting point is 00:55:33 This is TD Air. This is their Air version of the mascot TD, which is a blow up version of the Dolphin. The human is out of town or something. I don't know how like scientifically it works, but I think there's a person in that low of food. Yeah. No way.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Yeah. OK. Can we do it when it's raining or something? Can we do it when it's raining? We do have a video of TD Air dancing. Oh, it's one of those in... I would love to get one of those suits, man. It just looks like you're doing more than you actually are. He's just walking.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Yeah, but he looks like he's kind of grooving. He's got a trick up his sleeve. It looks like a kid with too much sugar. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. I'm not impressed. See, the guys are like, all right, you're done here. We gotta... Oh, my god.. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:56:27 Okay, turn of events. That was a turn of events. Yeah. That made it worth it. Watching the first part. He jumps on his head. He jumps on his head. He jumps on his head and he's from Miami.
Starting point is 00:56:37 So, he's definitely got pit bull choreography. Pit bull. He's got Jimmy Buffett choreography. He's been through a lot of times. He's been around a lot of times. He's been on many talent. Also Ace Ventura. Yeah, very, very true. Snowflake.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Snowflake. Yeah. Dolphins used to have a real live dolphin mascot. And then they didn't have enough money to keep it going. Like PETA or something. Yeah. I don't even know if it was. And Dan Marino stole it.
Starting point is 00:57:00 Yeah. It was just like in an aquarium somewhere and they're like that's our mascot. They had an aquarium, but I think it was like too much money to keep the aquarium going Yeah, it doesn't seem Cherry crack that code. Yeah, okay, and then we have with the Buffalo Bills Billy Buffalo Not to be confused with Buffalo Bill, but Two different people. Um, this guy's really scary not the serial killer. This guy's kind of giving Buffalo
Starting point is 00:57:26 He is just a little choking. He's turning blue He recently got a makeover They gave him a makeover. Yeah, it's much better. Yeah, there's a whole video. Stop scaring the kids Yeah, there's a video on Twitter of him like having a spa day and getting a little makeover and it's like a reveal Oh, that's cute. Yeah, and sadly I could not find any videos of him dancing, but I Do have oh Jason Kelsey in a Flintstones costume dancing for the bit. All right. Do we feel like that's the same? No, okay. I think he's an unofficial mascot. And he knows how to use his knees. He does.
Starting point is 00:58:07 Is that this year? Those knees do move. It must be, because he's doing it on TV now. Yeah, that was two weeks ago. Yeah. That was like, I'm going to do as little as possible. Yeah. See what happens.
Starting point is 00:58:19 I mean, the head bouncing for the Dolphins really stole the show. That stole the show, for sure. And also like, Sky is so cute. Where are they playing? They're playing in... Buffalo. Yeah. It's gonna be kind of cold for the Miamians.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Might be. Yeah, I think sometimes you get a cold weather team going to, or like a hot weather team going to a cold atmosphere. It's tough, yeah. Like how do you practice in that? Are they like... You can't. You can't. You don't really. Is it tougher to go from warm to cold or? It's tough. Yeah. Like how do you practice in that? Are they like, can't you? Yeah. Is it tougher to go from warm to cold or it's, it's,
Starting point is 00:58:49 it's the same amount of difficulty. Honestly, when I was in New England, we'd play in Miami real late and we would go in the bubble and we'd all wear like, like hoodies and stuff underneath our pads to kind of simulate what it's going to be like in Miami. Um the heat. The humidity and like hot. One time we, as a Patriot, in Foxborough, it was like, we had a snow storm. It was like 10 degrees outside. We practiced outside and coach thought
Starting point is 00:59:16 we were gonna get ready for the playoffs and be ready. And we go down to Miami and we get the break speed off of us cause it was like, we were all dying. Everybody's getting IVs before the game half half time two IVs like we were so hot we ended up losing the game but it's hard to go it's hard to fluctuate like like atmospheres like if you're going from cold to hot hot to cold it's tough. Yeah that would be hard. Yeah well I think vibes what do you think? Vibes the Dolphins. Vibes the Dolphins. They're going to win? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:46 1,000. Who do you want to go with, Danny? Stat-wise, I would pick Tuas coming back. Tyreek's hard to cover. Waddle's great, too. I mean, they have a pretty good offense. Electric offense, especially with Tuas. His is first game back, probably.
Starting point is 00:59:59 No, I think his second game back. So it'll be a little bit of a learning curve getting him back into game shape because he's been chilling for the past few weeks. But if I were to pick a team, I would say the Dolphins. It's not going to be terribly cold in Buffalo that week, so it'll be okay. Okay, we're going to go Dolphins. All right, we're all going fence. Nice.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Let's go. All right, well that does it for vibes versus stats. That's pretty good stats, guys. Oh yeah. Pretty good stats, pretty good vibes. So, Whitney, what is the initiation process like when you get your new celebrity that you're gonna dance with? The initiation. Are you like, dance?
Starting point is 01:00:35 First, yeah, first I'm like, what can you do, first of all? And it wasn't much, to be honest. Nothing. I'm a blank slate. I'm a blank slate. That's true, yeah. We took the positive spin on that. Culturable.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Culturable. Very culturable. I learned to learn. So it's a little bit of that, like, you know, show me what you can do. And it was like the jerk and then that was it. So a lot of that. A lot of nothing you could choose. I'm a product of Whitney Carson.
Starting point is 01:01:00 What's been your favorite dance so far? I think the last two have been fun. Yeah, last two have been fun. The jazz and the contemporary were my favorite so far. It's kind of gives you more freedom. You're not in frame the whole dance. So the jive was fun, lots of movement. Yeah. The tango, we have another tango this week.
Starting point is 01:01:18 It's something that I had a little bit of a learning curve getting into, obviously. So just staying in frame and keeping that posture. Usually it's been, I've always been, being a football player, I'm always hunched over and my fight or flight mode is like leaned over my toes. So whenever I get super, I get hunched over. So.
Starting point is 01:01:40 I'm like, everything you know, do the opposite. Yeah. Like it's like all forward. I'm'm like you gotta be back all the way. So that's been kind of tricky a little bit. Just takes a little bit more effort. Was there a coincidence that you and Joey did back flips in the same week? Because we were in the audience for that one
Starting point is 01:01:56 and Joey was telling us he's gonna go back flip and then we saw you do that and I was like, Danny's one-upping Joey. You guys are kind of competing for the same vote. You're both good-looking, athletic, young guys. Well, during the week, actually, they came in and was like, hey, I heard you guys are doing a backflip. We're doing a backflip.
Starting point is 01:02:15 Let's just make sure it's not the same. So we kind of knew going into the show that we both were doing backflips, but we just kind of, we just did it anyway. Yeah, Operation Blackbird. Operation Blackbird was that one. Yeah, we name all our lifts and tricks. So when you were like, what can you do?
Starting point is 01:02:29 Did you like, you were like, well, I can do a flip? That came later. I had to like pull, I have to pull things out of Danny. Like I have to really just try. I mean, you're an open book, but I gotta try to be like, can you do this? Can you do that? I mean, some stuff you probably didn't even know
Starting point is 01:02:44 you could do until you tried it Yeah, I haven't the barrel the barrel jump you love. Yeah Yeah, no never I saw I saw that natural Libre the other night and I was like, I love the barrel roll now Like okay, we're doing it. You've watched natural Libre recently Yeah Like like a couple weeks ago and then I got back to the studio and I was like Whitney You'll never believe what I saw last night not your little and it was like a couple of weeks ago. And then I got back to the studio and I was like, Whitney, you'll never believe what I saw last night. Nacho, and it was just like a pretty good barrel roll.
Starting point is 01:03:07 But did you like just on TV or did you like turn it on? No, I turned it on. What other, what other of your favorite shows are there? I like to watch things that make me dumber. So it's like. That's so good. That's all we do. That's all we, that's all I do too.
Starting point is 01:03:23 I was like, good choice. Do you ever watch reality TV? Not much. Yeah's all we do. That's all I do too. I was like, good choice. It's so funny. Do you ever watch reality TV? Not much. Yeah, not much. I don't watch too much TV. I watch a movie here and there, but I'm usually told.
Starting point is 01:03:31 How much do you keep, I mean, I know you're not a fan of any specific team, but how much do you keep up with the league in general? Not much. Not much. You know, just being so consumed with it last year and then my whole life really, I'm kind of interested in doing other things, exploring other avenues of life using the other half of my brain or what's left of it and you know just kind of keep it moving. You do talk about it quite a bit though like people will come in and you guys will talk
Starting point is 01:03:57 about the score. Yeah when I'm with my boys and I'm watching a game we get super into it and like you know we're calling out plays and talking penalties and like strategy but shit gets exhausting man like I'm good like and your boy Tom Reddy is calling games now yeah he's doing good man yeah it's like it's a challenge yeah it's really hard too it's just to fill the airspace and and I saw the first game he did and I thought he did amazing honestly I usually when I watch a football game I have to put it on mute. I can't listen to the commentating whatsoever
Starting point is 01:04:29 I had to put music on and I kind of just watch it leisurely, but I think he's doing a great job You know, he's he's good at whatever he does. Honestly, so yeah, he's a he's a he's a winner He's a winner. Does he have time to come to the show or no? We'll see maybe the final final, get me to the playoffs coach. Call him up. Do you want to call him up now or? Yeah, let's do it. Yeah, let's just FaceTime him really quick.
Starting point is 01:04:54 Is there a dance you're nervous to do? No, I'm open and ready to go every week. I just want to learn, I want to learn the history of each dance. I want to see film from old dancers doing the dance and just kind of learn. And that's why I'm here. That's why I just want to learn. I want to learn the history of each dance. I want to see film from old dancers doing the dance and just kind of learn. And that's why I'm here. That's why I'm doing it really. I just want to, I want to like expand and learn new things and, you know, do cool
Starting point is 01:05:14 stuff with cool people. What would be like a dream job for you? That's a good question. Post NFL career. I mean, I love to travel. I love to do new things. Obviously we did the special forces thing, a travel show or a travel experience and somehow getting paid for that would be kind of cool. You know, I've done a couple things like that in regards to the NFL with a couple old teammates,
Starting point is 01:05:35 really fun stuff. Just experience new things, see the world and meet cool people. What's the love life like these days? Ooh, for me, single. Single? Yeah, just happy, peaceful, no stress whatsoever. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:51 It's like, do you wanna settle down one day or are you kind of enjoying, how old are you? 38, about to be 39 here next week. He's so old. Yeah. That was nice. Yeah, my dream is to get married and have kids and if you were to ask me when I was 24, 25,
Starting point is 01:06:05 what I'd be doing when I was 39, I'd be married four kids, then then pick a white picket fence. But it hasn't really worked out that way, which is great too. So life is awesome. Yeah. I didn't settle down until 40.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Yeah. Until 40? Yeah, I met Natalie when I was 37, 38. Yeah. How old are you? I'm 26. 26, okay. That's a good age.
Starting point is 01:06:28 A little bit of an age gap. A little bit of an age gap. A little bit of a... Hey, that's okay. I was a little self-conscious at first. Yeah, anytime anyone asks, I'm always like, let me just show you a photo of him. Because if I tell you he's 44, you're going to judge me. How often do you play the game of game of like where were you in in?
Starting point is 01:06:56 Post ten years ago or five years ago, and it'll be like I was cringy post I'm like what were you doing in 2009 and he's like, oh I was in college and I'm like I was writing I'm bored on Facebook I'd love I mean not start with one I'd love I'd love to ideally have like three or four kids, you know I'm true see how it goes after two, and then reconvene. Well, someone who also thought he'd be married with kids at like 25, 26, and it happened till later in life.
Starting point is 01:07:31 I've really enjoyed. Yeah, life is good, man. I'm super blessed, super happy. I've got to live my dream, and now it's just kind of smooth sailing for me. That's the thing, is like whenever you find it, you'll just be locked in, and you won't have any like, oh, I wish I could have done this.
Starting point is 01:07:49 You've obviously had a great life and exciting life and you'll continue to do exciting things. But yeah, when that happens, you'll, it's like I have a lot of friends who, happily married and have kids, but they did that in their late 20s and they're all like, so tell me about your life. You know, it's like, you know.
Starting point is 01:08:07 I have lots of those friends. Like, Dullough, what are you doing? Yeah. Go to sleep, man. Are you a DM guy? Like, are you checking the DMs? Not really. They've been blowing up since we've been on the show
Starting point is 01:08:19 and things are going on. OK, calm down. But I don't really, I don't really, you know, I'm just so, yeah. We're trying, yeah. He's like, so you want my shirt off for this calm down. But I don't really, I don't really, you know, I'm just so, yeah. We're trying, yeah. He's like, so you want my shirt off for this one too? Or you don't?
Starting point is 01:08:29 We're trying to get the shirt off. Right. So, yeah. No, I'm really just kind of focused on just being happy and peaceful and doing what I want to do, yeah. Do you like Austin? Love Austin, I'm obsessed with Austin. How'd you end up moving there?
Starting point is 01:08:42 So I was living in my whatever city I was playing in and then I was training out here for like eight, nine years. So I lived in Venice for a long time. And then I got sick of the zombies walking around. And then so I ended up buying a house in 2017 in Austin, fell in love. I'm from Houston originally, so Texas boy. And then Austin's amazing. It's active, great food, good music scene, uh, good people.
Starting point is 01:09:07 There's a lake that goes right downtown. So we're on the, we're on the, uh, on the boat every other day. So it's, it's just great, great, healthy living, honestly. That's awesome. Do you have any friends, like a lot of friends in that area? Yeah. Yeah. Lots of friends, some from high school, some from college, some that I met,
Starting point is 01:09:22 you know, more recently, but great friend group, very active. We got good gyms and we're always trying to do things productive and healthy. Is it cold right now, like Texas? No, it's 90 right now. So would you get in the water right now? Yeah, we can get in the water. Would you get in the water in December?
Starting point is 01:09:42 Yeah, we can get in the water 11 months out of the year. So I was just thinking about that because I live in Florida now and I was like in Florida now. I live in Florida now I was like if we just didn't have the Gators like I'd be in the lake like all the time I'm not messing with the guys like we we kind of mess with the Gators a little bit I like we don't mess with them, but like we still get in the water with the boat Yeah, with the boat because you think about it's like that that huge boat, it's gotta scare them off, right? But would you like to, or ski, or like would you do? Yeah, like we surf, we surf.
Starting point is 01:10:11 What if you fall off and then you're like waiting for the boat to come in? And then you just wait for the boat and you just get your feet up and you're kinda like. Whitney, that's crazy. I know, I do it all the time. Where in Florida? In Orlando.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Oh Orlando. Yeah, we live in Lake Nona, but Yeah, we love it, but it's just like that's what I was just thinking about Texas cuz I'm like so many people moved to Texas Yeah, but I feel like it gets cold. No, it doesn't well It does a little bit But we you can you take the boat out of the water for a week and you can just put it right back in if you need A wetsuit you can have one, but we I never use a wetsuit Just I get in probably 11 months out of the year Okay, so you can get in in December. Yeah. Yeah We have Lake property in Wisconsin, but freezing. Yeah, sadly. No. Yeah, you get four months four months. Yeah
Starting point is 01:10:53 I know this are raging four months to That's the one thing I hate about LA you love the weather weather's amazing, but there's no enthusiasm for it Everyone's like yeah, it's nice out West you're like, it's amazing, but there's no enthusiasm for it. Everyone's like, yeah, it's nice out. In the Midwest, you're like, it's fucking warm. Let's go. Yeah, for sure. What, do you have two boys? I do, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:12 What's the age gap between them? Three and then one and a half. So they're like two and a half years apart. Okay, do you like? And it's wild. Is it wild? It's wild, but I also have two really busy, crazy boys. It is crazy how different boys are.
Starting point is 01:11:29 I think they really are so different. And she's nine months, right? Nine months, yeah. Okay, so she talking yet? She's like babbling. Babbling, okay, yeah. I like always forget. She's got one, two.
Starting point is 01:11:39 She's like scaling on the stuff. She'll be walking. Yeah, Jet was walking at nine months. And I was like. I walked at nine months. Did you cheer that on? And then for your second, were you like, get down? Yeah, my second one, I was exactly like that.
Starting point is 01:11:53 My first one, I was like, he's not walking, like, ah. And then my second one, I was like, get back down. Get back down there. Cause he was falling off everything. Like it's, they're crazy. And then they all have, they have like, they're beat up all the time. All the time. My youngest is gonna be...
Starting point is 01:12:09 A UFC fighter. A UFC fighter, 100%. He's tough as nail. Every time I see him, he looks like he just got into a six round beat down. A bar fight. Yeah. I'm like, dude, do you pretty much play every sport
Starting point is 01:12:21 in high school? Yeah, baseball and football. I'm gonna show you guys this video while you guys are they are your boys playing any? It's I mean, how are they three? Yeah, they're there. I mean they're golfing a little bit like the the oldest is golfing He's he actually they both have really good arms like surprisingly like they can throw really hard I have to show you this video because it just is hilarious But yeah, we'll probably do all the Florida sports like tennis and golf throw really hard. I have to show you this video because it just is hilarious. But yeah, we'll probably do all the Florida sports like tennis and golf. That's the way to go.
Starting point is 01:12:50 I'm just scared of football, honestly, like the amount of times you've gotten hurt and like it's the one you showed me where you passed out was crazy. Yeah. Yeah, Danny, would you? I've had documented probably like four in the NFL, but like probably honestly, like eight or nine. You worry about that? Okay, just watch this video. Sometimes. But.
Starting point is 01:13:12 Okay, watch this small one, okay? Oh my God. Can you guys see? Oh, okay, ready? This is a crazy video. This is my life. This is me just like trying not. Whitney.
Starting point is 01:13:21 No, this is like, this is, and he gets back up and starts laughing, like for real. He just jumped. Kids tough as nails. The chemical in your brain that's like fear, he doesn't have it. Doesn't have it. Oh my god. That's every hour of every day. That's like equivalent to like a 30 foot drop. At what point were you like, yeah, that's them, it's fine. Like with your first one, oh my god. Yeah, cause River Falls and we're like losing our mind.
Starting point is 01:13:47 I know. Like she was- And by fall I mean she just like falls on her butt. Right, right. You're like, you guys are first time parents, just wait till the second one and you'll be like, as long as it's not drugs or alcohol, like just fill them up, we're good.
Starting point is 01:14:01 Has that happened yet? No. No. This means you get a lot more lax. I've had this story once when I was like three or four, they took me to a wedding and I went around and like just started sipping. Like when you go to a wedding,
Starting point is 01:14:16 people just leave their drinks around and shit. Oh no. And I went around and started sipping on drinks and I like, I got drunk. Oh no. It was like a three or four year old. Oh my God. Oh yeah, I saw like, my dad owned a golf course
Starting point is 01:14:27 when I was a kid and I like, was up playing in like the pro shop and there was a can of Coke, hello, from the South, I'm like obsessed with Coke. So I went to like drink it and it was just full of cigarette ashes. Oh, stop. So then it like dipped, like someone had just been using it as like a-
Starting point is 01:14:41 Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. If there's anything wrong with me, I do blame it on that. Yeah, right. Do you recommend that age gap? Like, are you happy with? I am really happy with it. I think at first it was really hard.
Starting point is 01:14:55 Just like the newborn and the toddler phase and then they're like potty training and all that. But I think it's a good age gap, especially like going into high school and junior high, I have a lot of nieces that are like that same age gap and they have loved it just because they're really close. So I think it'll get better. It's just, it's hard right now,
Starting point is 01:15:15 but I think it'll get better. Are you guys thinking of another one? Yeah, of course. Oh yay. He's one of 11, I'm one of seven. So I think we both want big families. Oh yeah, that's crazy. How was that growing up with 11, bro? Loud of seven. So I think we both want big families. But. That's crazy. How was that growing up with 11, bro?
Starting point is 01:15:27 Loud. Loud. I was a second oldest. Okay, yeah. So I kind of, and I have an older sister and then it was like two sisters after that. And so my closest brother is seven age. So I always say I was like an only child
Starting point is 01:15:39 with like 10 siblings. Cause I kind of did my own thing. I was very much in sports. My sisters weren't, so I got a lot of attention. And then I also like had my own room until junior year of high school. Yeah, and then you were out of the house pretty much.
Starting point is 01:15:53 Yeah, I was kind of out of the house. But yeah, it was loud and you had to wake up early. Like I eat to this day, like I have, like the food's about to leave. About to leave. Yeah, because they're about to take a house plate. Like a mom would buy like sugar cereal, we'd say, like you'd wake the fuck up early
Starting point is 01:16:08 because like it wasn't enough for everyone. She'd buy like one box of Frosted Flakes and be like, first come first serve. Oh my gosh. And we were like allowed to have one bowl, but I would be like, well, there's still milk in it. So it's still one bowl. Right.
Starting point is 01:16:20 You'd eat it up and you'd put, you know, a little bit more Frosted Flakes on those tricks. That's hilarious. What age did you start playing football? So my dad's a high school football coach and I loved, I was a ball boy for his team like when I was like eight, nine years old. He wouldn't let me play and tackle football until I was 11.
Starting point is 01:16:35 Okay. Which was in hindsight, really good idea because I mean, kids get just so beat up and. So you would stand by that if you had a boy? Honestly wouldn't, I would have him in flag football until he's about like 14 Okay, and then it kind of depends what position he's playing but I would I would have him play flag football until until like freshman year high school So how many where are we in the Dancing with the Stars weeks how many weeks we have left
Starting point is 01:17:02 I think we only have three weeks left, I think. Yeah, so. We have like a bye week, don't we? Yeah, we have like a week off for the election, which has never happened before, ever. So like we have like a week off, like off, off, which is crazy. That makes sense though, because it's gonna be kind of weird.
Starting point is 01:17:18 Yeah, I mean, yeah. To like be dancing and everyone's like trying to figure out what the world is gonna be. Twigging out, yeah. It's the future of the world. Everyone's gonna be mad. Yeah, right? Yes, I know. It's gonna be interesting how that plays out.
Starting point is 01:17:32 But yeah, and then we'll have three more weeks after that. So yeah, it's coming down to the wire, really. Yeah. Lots of good people left. So do you pick, I know you come up with choreography, right, Whitney? Okay, so then do you also pick the songs or is that like produced? Yeah, we have a music team, we also have a creative team.
Starting point is 01:17:53 So the music team will kind of send us options of like, hey, I think this would be great on this show. Do you guys like this song? And then it'll be like X-Nade or, you know, we'll come together. If he hates it and I love it, then I'll try and convince him to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:08 Or vice versa. But yeah, so there's teams to kind of like support and help us in the music decision. Because for me, it's like, it's all about the music. Like I have to love the song, but it also has to fit with the dance style too. So it's kind of interesting. Like you could love a song,
Starting point is 01:18:24 but it doesn't actually fit with the dance style that you have to do that week. So it's kind of interesting. Like you could love a song, but it doesn't actually fit with the dance style that you have to do that week. So it's kind of tricky. You're kind of trying to have that right balance. It's like I will always love you with like the jive and you're like, oh, I don't really. Oh yeah, you're like, does it really work? Yeah. Beat it a little.
Starting point is 01:18:37 This episode will come out next Thursday. This week, how many are eliminated, do you know? I think only one. Yeah, I think from here on out it's only one. Because there, you're not gonna be like voted off, are eliminated? Do you know? I think only one. Yeah, I think from here on out it's only one. Because there's you're not going to be like voted off, are you? I don't think so in my gut. I don't think so. That relies heavily on my posture for the tango. That relies heavily on your smile.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Right. Because I look scared every time I dance. Yeah, what is more important, the facial or the posture? Because Bobby Bones won. Right, oh wait. And that boy walked on the dance floor. Right, right, I know, yes. And I was with Milo that season and we were like,
Starting point is 01:19:13 for real, are we for real right now? But it's all about really, I don't know, it just depends on how many fans are voting and I guess a lot of fans are voting right now. I think you have to have a good balance. You gotta be a decent dancer, right? But you also have to charm America. People have to want to vote for you as well.
Starting point is 01:19:35 And they like to see people get better. They like to see the progress. They love that and I think Danny's personality is coming out a little bit more. He has more things to say. We're seeing different sides of him the vulnerability side and like, you know We're trying to show all sides of him. So I think it's a good balance You got to be a decent dancer and try right but you also have to have America love you, too
Starting point is 01:19:56 Do y'all keep up with anyone who has been eliminated? I Haven't really talked to anybody have used not really I haven't really talked to anybody have you? Not really. This season? No, they're dead. I just, I saw cause Brooke Snader posted a TikTok being like, did you see that? I saw that. She's like, when he's breaking up with me, but I had no idea we were together.
Starting point is 01:20:16 They already broke up? I don't know. I don't know. I took from that. The last time I talked to Gleb, things were good. So it could have changed. What a complicated fellow. You're the best looking guy I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 01:20:29 That was two days ago, so. And also like super nice in person. This dating life is messy. Messy, especially when it's on TV, then you're like, then everybody's involved, right? So I don't know, I don't know about that. I did see that. How can people vote for you guys?
Starting point is 01:20:44 How can people vote for us? What's the number? The number is 21523. You can vote up to 10 times. Text Danny. Is it the same number every year? Every year, 21523, yep. Just a different name.
Starting point is 01:20:59 Yeah. All right, we'll make sure you guys vote for Danny. It's, is it Tuesday? Text, 21523. 21523, yep. 21523. And you spell his name D-A-N-N-Y. D-A-N-N-Y.
Starting point is 01:21:11 If someone misspells it, it doesn't count. His real name is Daniel though, so don't put that, put Danny. I just learned that the other day. When I'm in trouble. What's your middle name? James. Daniel James.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Yeah. Daniel James. Whitney, what's your middle name? Capri. Beautiful. That's a beautiful name. Whitney, what's your middle name? Capri. Beautiful. That's a beautiful name. Wow, stunning. Thanks, Whitney. Capri, yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:28 What's that? What, from, what were you named after? Italy. Italy, I guess. Italy. Yeah. There we go, not the pants. Or the drink.
Starting point is 01:21:36 Or the drink, yeah, no. Definitely. We just love those lunches. Yeah, those free suns. Danny, Whitney, we appreciate you coming. It's been fun, so fun to chat with you guys. Good Whitney, we appreciate you coming. It's been so fun to chat with you guys. Good luck the rest of the way. It's been so fun watching you.
Starting point is 01:21:50 Maybe we'll do a special forces, like, all-star year. That'd be awesome. Would you ever do it again? It depends where it is. If it's in a warm weather climate, I'll do it. Where was yours? In Jordan, in the desert. That's kind of a bad ass.
Starting point is 01:22:01 Yeah, it was gnarly, man. It was gnarly. It was like 112. And then it dropped down to like 72 at night. So it was good. You beat Dwight in a fight. Got him. And he's a giant. Got him.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Got him, yeah. Have you all talked about that on… Oh yeah, all the time. When you do special forces, you're trauma bonded to these people. So it's like you went through the ringer with them. So it's like your brotherhood for life. Oh, one question before I let you go, cause I was, one thing I was terrified to do,
Starting point is 01:22:31 but we didn't have to do it cause we were in New Zealand. Yeah. Like the gas mask. Oh my gosh, bro. How was that? It was in the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. It felt like you stuck your face in bacon grease, dude. Your eyes were twisting in your head.
Starting point is 01:22:44 It was crazy. What did you have to do? You go into a shipping container, and there's an instructor in there. You have a gas mask on, and then they pop the gas smoke. And then you take your mask off, and then it just, it calls you.
Starting point is 01:22:58 And they make you like breathe it for a while. You have to answer like three or four questions, then you have to find this bag that's hidden, and then you have to find like an alternate exit route. Not the door you came in. You have to find it. Yeah, you have to find it. And then you're, I mean,
Starting point is 01:23:12 the only thing you can think about is getting out of the frigging shipping container. So you're throwing shit around. You have to get the bag and then find the exit. And then for like the next 10 minutes, your face, like it's so painful. And then 11 minutes after that, you're completely fine, 100%.
Starting point is 01:23:27 You're saying the tango is worse than that. Like, come on. I'm a glutton for pain. I was like, cause I didn't know this until we got done. They told us, they weren't allowed to do it, but every mission I was like, fuck, don't be the fucking gas man. Mike Piazza passed out and there ended up break,
Starting point is 01:23:43 almost breaking his orbital bone. They rushed him to the hospital Yeah, he like fell on his face. Yeah, Mike was beating the walls and Dwight goes like it sounded like you were fighting an invisible bear in there It was so painful I would never do that Thank you guys for coming Good luck the rest of the way. Thank you. Nice to see you. for coming. Thanks for having us. It's been so much fun. Thanks. Good luck the rest of the way. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:24:06 Nice to see you. You too. Wow, what a great team. Love. It's a good season of Dancing with the Stars. Mm-hmm. It really is. Yeah, it's a really great season.
Starting point is 01:24:14 I feel like none of the other seasons have been this viral. Is that just me, or have I never been watching? No, I agree. I was walking through my apartment and I saw through someone's window, Dancing with the Stars, and I was like, hmm. Oh, that's my favorite thing to do. People are watching.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Is look through people's window. Look at my peeping Tom Couch over here. I accidentally looked. It was below my unit, and I saw through someone's window, Dancing with the Stars, and I was like, hmm. Oh, that's my favorite thing to do, is look through people's window. Look at my peeping Tom Couch over here. I accidentally looked, it was below my unit, and I was like, Dancing with the Stars. You accidentally, but then realized what they were watching? You were looking a little longer. I saw people dancing and flipping,
Starting point is 01:24:35 and I was like, that must be Dancing with the Stars. Question, do we think it's because it's on Disney Plus now? Oh, yeah, that could be. Possibly. Yeah, and Hulu. The Hulu-Disney Plus merger, so people are watching it. They're watching Agatha all along, they're watching that. I started that.
Starting point is 01:24:46 Did you figure out what Carrie Anne said that annoyed people? No, but apparently she had a rough night last, a Halloween, the Halloween night. What'd she say? I don't know, everyone just talking about her comments. I don't know. One of them was she gave, I guess, Chandler,
Starting point is 01:25:00 Kenny, who is on our episode this week, she was the only one, I guess it was an amazing dance, and she was the only one who is on our episode this week, she was the only one, I guess it was an amazing dance, and she was the only one who talked negative about it, and Chandler was like, can you just tell me what to do? Oh. Yeah, I'm sad. This is after her dig deeper comment. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:19 Yeah, it was like, you need to, this wasn't. And that one was about her mother when she said that. Also, cause like Chandler is like, just like really good at dancing. So it's like, are you just picking on her because she's good? And she says sweet. Or do you have actual critiques
Starting point is 01:25:36 that can help her be a better dancer? And Carrie Anne kind of did support Anadelie or not critique her. So it could be the skill thing. Yeah, the judges are there to stir the pot. Yeah. You know, what are you gonna do? Pascal is no longer.
Starting point is 01:25:53 What a run though. I think we all thought he was gonna be some kind of more for the bit early on. Yeah. I think I'm the only delusional person that really thought he had a chance. No, I think the more the season goes on, I think Joan liked Pascal the second most.
Starting point is 01:26:09 Yeah, I feel like that's when she kind of found out that he wasn't fully there yet, not this week, but during Hometowns, I think that might've also given her a little bit of comfort. If I do choose you, we don't have to rush into marriage and everything, we can kind of take our time and figure things out where, as I said last time, I was like,
Starting point is 01:26:26 Chuck, I feel like it's 100% in. Guy also seems very 100% in. So I'm also like, I feel like there's a little bit of safety in Pascal where it's like, I don't have to commit to the whole bit. We haven't talked about guys kissing. I had to look away because I don't know. It's really hard.
Starting point is 01:26:42 The lips. It's hard. Nick and I have this look away because I don't know the lips It's hard. I have this thing that we I call them Phyllis kisses because it's like he's kissing his grandmother. Yeah, and they're just like little like There's not a lot of effort not even like a purse It's just like a touch and I'm like that's a Phyllis kiss and sometimes guy he puckers up like four feet away He's getting ready. It's honestly, I talked to my sister this morning and we were talking about like my
Starting point is 01:27:10 mom potentially going on, you know, next season and we were both like, it's going to be really hard to watch. Like she was like, my sister Caroline was like, I can't, I actually won't be watching. She was like, I like to watch mom flirt and kiss. Like I'm not, I can't do that. Have you put this in motion? I texted Nick this morning, she made a video being, she has a really great idea for an entrance.
Starting point is 01:27:32 She came up with this idea, and I was like, that's actually pretty good. Oh my god. And then I said, you need to make a video. Cause I was like, listen, I'm pretty sure I can get you on. I'm manifesting this too. But then also, if anyone is mean to her,
Starting point is 01:27:45 like, you can give it to me, but I'll show up at your front door. You know, like, so. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to deal with that. I don't think people would hate her. Yeah. They're like, and I guess we have Natalie Joy coming in. She's just like, she's been barding on set.
Starting point is 01:28:00 I don't need Natalie fighting with the entire internet. Yeah. She's there on filming. Can I get some headphones, please? Nobody, no, no, that's not for my mom. I told her to make a video just because it's like, hey listen, like, you know, Matt James' mom is the perfect example. You know, she was on the first Golden Bachelorette,
Starting point is 01:28:17 but like this is a TV show. And I was like, listen, if you go on, you want to be more than, you know, Nick's mother-in-law. Right. You know, like, and you want to endear yourself to the producers and you wanna show that you are willing to play along and have fun. And you know, so, and she did the video,
Starting point is 01:28:32 I have to send it in. That negates my point, because I was envisioning like, she's making it to at least the top four or three, but she's like having cold feet or feelings. She's like, I need to talk to someone. They fly in Nick and you to be the ones to talk to her, kind of like Gary did. Yeah. Sure, but keep in mind, you know, Kelsey's dad didn't need to talk to someone. They fly in Nick and you to be the ones to talk to her, kind of like Gary did.
Starting point is 01:28:45 Yeah. Sure, but keep in mind, you know, Kelsey's dad didn't make it to hometowns. That's not a guarantee. Well, Kelsey's dad is doing just fine according to the internet. Yeah, well, I think we have to have a serious conversation about potentially Pascal being your next Golden Bachelor.
Starting point is 01:28:59 Yeah, so. I don't think, I don't think so. Well, but like Nick. Why not? I don't think so. Well, but like Nick. Why not? I don't think it is him. That was not a, your next golden bachelor exit. That was a like, we did a ceremony ritual and I, and it scared me.
Starting point is 01:29:16 That's not giving I'm ready to be your next bachelor and find love. That's giving I'm not ready for relationship and I need to like step away. We'll see. But we do need to discuss who it will be because a lot of the eligible bachelors have been taken out of the race. Yeah, so Nick pointed out that so.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Well, Mark is 58, which is just, it seemed too young for- And also, maybe dating Deb from Montreal. Well, are they dating? They dressed up as Prince Charming and Cinderella. That's pretty serious. And Kelsey commented so cute on the post. Yeah, and I've seen multiple photos from that party, Well, are they dating? They dressed up as Prince Charming and Cinderella. That's pretty serious. And Kelsey commented so cute on the post.
Starting point is 01:29:47 Yeah, and I've seen multiple photos from that party, and they were by each other's side the whole time. Well, either way, I don't think he's your next Golden Bachelor. Well, and then Jordan was seen with Leslie from the Golden Bachelor as well, so it's like, so he's not there, Mark's not there, Charles L. or nobody. Or Guy or whoever. I don't want to watch a season of Guy. You don't think so? With the restraining or? Well, he had all the restraining or the rest of it.
Starting point is 01:30:08 So yeah, so not Guy. So Charles L. Pascal. I think it should be Dan. I'm gonna put Dan out there. Oh yeah, that would be a good one. And it should be Dan. And I have loved Dan from the start. And it should be him.
Starting point is 01:30:19 He's handsome and he has a good story. We should ask your mom who she would want it to be. She said Pascal. She said Pascal. She, and the- She said Pascal? Before the show started, before the show started when they had just released photos, I sent it to her and I was like, who is like the most attracted to you?
Starting point is 01:30:34 And she said Pascal. And now, you know- I'm here for it. I don't know where she is now, but I think if she'd watch it, she'd be like, oh my gosh. Would you want your mom dating Pascal after the scene? No, it doesn't seem like he's ready for love.
Starting point is 01:30:47 And I don't need someone playing with my mom's feelings. I think that's kind of what I think too, that I'm kind of like, okay, he went through the entire process and he was like, hey, I'm not ready, I have my walls up, but okay, let's go to hometown, see how you are with my family. Okay, I can see you a part of my family, I like you,
Starting point is 01:31:03 but I'm not feeling that thing. We go to Tahiti. If I'm on a white sand beach with you and I'm not feeling Okay, I can see you as part of my family. I like you, but I'm not feeling that thing. We go to Tahiti. If I'm on a white sand beach with you and I'm not feeling it, then like, yeah, I'm gonna leave, because I'm not gonna convince myself or fuck this whole thing up for you, Joe. We're obsessed with Joan, but like, to Cira's point, like, you know, not everyone is Joan's person.
Starting point is 01:31:18 The part that got me though is when he said, I was in a serious relationship, I really loved the person right before this. And then he goes, and then I got here and didn't think I would make it this far. When I saw you, he said, I saw you and person right before this, and then he goes, and then I got here and didn't think I would make it this far. When I saw you, he said I saw you and thought I wouldn't make it this far.
Starting point is 01:31:28 So then I was like, to me he was giving. But Noah, do you really think when you show up to The Bachelor or Golden Bachelorette, I certainly, you know, my only goal was to not go home night one. Yes. No, it was like, just don't go home night one. Like, just after that, it was, especially when you show up,
Starting point is 01:31:45 you're just like, it's a surreal thing to be casted on this show. You know? But when you lead with like, but I was really in love with someone before, to me that's like, okay, well I kind of knew from the start I didn't really like you. I think he was being honest.
Starting point is 01:31:55 Yeah, and he's saying. He was being honest for sure, I respect that. But he's saying like, that feeling's not being replicated here, you know what I mean? So if he's like, this is what I know, love to be or how I felt about her, I don't feel that for you. But it took you to Tahiti to realize that?
Starting point is 01:32:07 When was he supposed to figure this out? Right, he said that he was looking for a spark and he didn't feel it with Joan. It's like, it took you this long to realize he didn't have a spark with Joan. How much time does he have to spend with her though? Yeah, the filming is like six weeks tops. They go to Tahiti, he's like, fine,
Starting point is 01:32:19 at a white sand beach, I saw you with my family, my family likes you, so maybe there's something there. You could have known by hometown. He, so maybe there's something there. But for him to- You could have known by hometowns. He has spent maybe- He's talking about a spark. Maybe five hours with Joan. But he's talking about a spark. Like when you feel a spark with somebody,
Starting point is 01:32:31 isn't that something that you feel pretty immediately? So did you expect Pascal to get out of the limo, look at Joan, have a five minute conversation with her, and then be like, nope, sorry, gotta go. We'll chalk out the spark immediately. Maybe when he told her, whispered in her ear that his walls were coming down after Hometowns. But maybe that was true.
Starting point is 01:32:48 He didn't have to do that. But I feel like Hometowns is the latest that you can be like, okay, I don't like you. Cause when you see them interact with their family, that's when you know if you actually like them. I think it's a little unfair to expect all the contestants on any of these shows to know how they feel about a stranger.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Especially this age group, and then it's like this like second, third, whatever chance at love. I think it's a little bit more nuanced and complicated. They're not gonna be like, oh, I'm fully in because I just met you and I wanna win. And they're making friends for the first time in years. It's like a three month process. It's just like, I'm gonna give all of these people
Starting point is 01:33:20 a little grace. For sure. More thoughts on Roni, other than? Jenna's bit where she was the dad from Clueless was really funny. I really liked her little phone when she just didn't really wanna have a conversation with someone. I thought that was great.
Starting point is 01:33:34 Also, Jessla at the HiU convention said that the season had to end shortly, shorter than usual when filming because someone was sent to a hotel room and someone was sent on a flight home. So they had a wrap filming early. Bren has talked about how she has fight or flight. And then Brynn was also forcing Rebecca Minkoff to drink. Forcing might not be the right word,
Starting point is 01:33:54 but like trying to get her to drink. I think they were just goading and it was really annoying. I think Brynn is not a villain and they're trying to make her a villain and I think they need to cast a villain. I think Brynn is trying to self edit herself and it's making her edit as the villain.
Starting point is 01:34:06 But it's like, yeah, the way she's talking to a lot of the women is like, I don't know. I didn't know she was engaged. Her ex fiance. Her ex fiance was part of her last year storyline. Yeah. Gideon, yeah. I felt like I missed something with Aaron.
Starting point is 01:34:19 Yeah. I almost missed an episode because I was like, why is she upset with Jenna all of a sudden? Or something that happened in episode one. Literally. And Jenna's like, why is she upset with Jenna all of a sudden? Like what happened? Or something that happened in episode one. Literally, and Jenna's like, I guess I'm just a bad friend. I'm like, no, you're not.
Starting point is 01:34:31 Aaron's just being weird. In reality, they all kind of get along and they're just trying to find drama. And Brynn's the one creating the drama. But who bothered me probably more than Brynn this episode, Povit, Jussel's husband, when he was like, all holidays are made by the card company, don't even get me started on Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 01:34:50 Who gives a shit? I like him, he's funny. I'm sorry, but I'm like, in the sense of being a husband, if your wife is into it and clearly you picked the most high maintenance woman to be married to, celebrate her birthday, buy her the frickin' card or the roses. That's always been his bit too, though,
Starting point is 01:35:02 where he's like, the tuition's too much, can't we just go to a different school? Like, don't want to have another child. That's too expensive He's a goofball. I think it's just hyper like money sensitive. So anything that takes money He takes his Emirates flight to like Dubai to get a sandwich. I like both of them. I just don't know I don't like them together. Yeah, I think it's great But like Povit how long have you been with Jessel that you don't know that you that she's gonna be really upset if you don't buy Her a channel. He definitely isn't like I don't know. I think he's doing a bit. It's a bit Yeah, it's a TV. I think it's a bit but it's a little transparent. I feel like yeah
Starting point is 01:35:37 I'm gonna say he's not that good of an actor together Even her saying that she got a text the day of her party being like so what do you want for your birthday? Like I think that really happened and that's who he is. Like, all right, I didn't fucking do anything. I don't care. What do you want? I'll go buy it. But she's like, no, well, anything that I want takes like a week to get delivered. In his defense, if they came after me our first season saying like, I'm cheating on my wife because I went to get a sandwich in a different country, then I would clap back the next season by just being a goofball. That's true.
Starting point is 01:36:01 Like none of this is serious. You guys are just burning bridges with people. It's like kind of like Seth in Salt Lake. Like his whole thing of like being like weird because he doesn't care anymore. Meredith was going through a lot. So he was like, I'm just going to make a fool of myself. Exactly what's happening. It's just like, I'm just, my wife wants to do this fine. I am going to show up and I'm going to say things. Cause they don't get paid.
Starting point is 01:36:23 The husbands don't get paid for at least the season. Abe's also just trying to be Abe, trying to do his thing. I do really like Abe. I love Abe. I don't know what it is about him, but I really do. He's charming. He seems more innocent this season than last season. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:37 Well, I think it's also just because Aaron's like, I just, like, I cannot follow her train of thought at all this season. I don't know what's going on. Well, it seems like she hates him though this season, where I'm like, the way that she talks to him and just like about him or like reprimands him, I'm like, oh, I know that you're mad at him,
Starting point is 01:36:54 but I feel like this is a conversation that should have happened off camera. Yeah. And now we're getting all of this like weird toxic energy between the two of you, like them at the coffee shop when like he like accidentally spilled on her and she's like, great. Like it was just like the reaction. They were laughing at that. But it was like kind of like she was annoyed Yeah, it was just kind of like the reactions to things where it's like it's not like this light-hearted like oh my god
Starting point is 01:37:14 I can't believe you did that. It's like okay Yeah, it's like Erin's talking about how she's going through a lot which like totally but at the same time, you know, Sy is which like totally, but at the same time, you know, Psy is literally lost her mom is like planting a tree with her ashes in it and is like dealing with that. It's like, but Erin isn't like really communicating that to anyone, but then is mad at Jenna about Jenna's lack of communication. But the entire time she can't even tell Jenna
Starting point is 01:37:40 she's mad at her. Not even Jenna's lack of communication. She specifically said, I'm mad at you because some part of me knows that you believe Brynn. Is what she said. So not even Jenna. Yeah. Just because of Brynn.
Starting point is 01:37:50 And I'm like, I know Cy works a lot too, but I'm just like, I feel like Jenna works the most out of anybody on that show too. So I'm like the idea that y'all are getting upset about like a text message where I'm like, when does she have fucking time? Also it's like they're coworkers, they're not friends. And sorry your coworker couldn't text you
Starting point is 01:38:01 because she was busy at her other job. Like, I don't know. at her other job. Like, I don't know. Yeah. All right, well it's time. The moment you all been waiting for. Shannon. The door. There's the door. Hey moms, looking for some light-hearted guidance on this crazy journey we call parenting? Join me, Sabrina Kohlberg. And me, Andy Mitchell, for Pop Culture Moms. Starting point is 01:38:53 Oh my gosh! We're just really excited to have Shannon. We are huge fans. We've been rooting for you all season. Nick has been like dying on the cross for you. Yeah. Thank you so much. I've heard that and I really appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:39:04 Well, you deserve it. Thank you. Yeah. I've heard that and I really appreciate it. Well, you deserve it. Thank you. Well, in full disclosure, we were a little hard on you last season when all that stuff was going down. Okay, well, I mean, and I deserved it. And by the way, I appreciate you saying we're rooting for you, but I wanna make it clear.
Starting point is 01:39:20 I put myself in this situation. Like I got a DUI. I chose to date someone for much too longer than I should have. So, I put myself in this situation. You know, like I got a DUI. I chose to date someone for much too longer than I should have. So, you know, I put myself there. You know, Shannon, and I'm glad you said that. And I think that's why we love you so much and why we're rooting for you.
Starting point is 01:39:34 Because every step of the way, you have been the economy queen that you seem to be. At least since the debacle that happened. And what's been so frustrating to watch this season is that your cast, your ex-boyfriend, all the people surrounding you just won't get out of your way on your healing journey on the way up. And they seem to wanna kick you while you're down.
Starting point is 01:39:59 Yeah, I mean, it was really surprising to me how deep it went. And unfortunately, you don't see all of it. There was more, you know? What didn't we see? No, but they have to condense things down, and I understand that. Being called the C-word multiple times
Starting point is 01:40:14 and being talked to like a mafia gangster. It's like, who talks that way? Who called you the C-word? You can guess. I guess. You can guess. Can we? Yes. So, that was hard, that way. Who called you the C word? You can guess. I guess. You can guess. Camera? Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:27 So that was hard, but I'll tell you today, I did, I cried a lot when I filmed through the season, but today I feel pretty strong that I'm, you know, it's over and I'm still okay. Like it didn't kick me down. I'm still moving forward. That's amazing. Also, if you don't mind me saying,
Starting point is 01:40:48 the face is looking fantastic. Yes. Thank you. I don't care who paid for it. No, okay, okay. But I did it like a few years ago. You look great. It's my first time meeting you in person.
Starting point is 01:40:59 It was so 2022, dude. Truly, like get on board at 2024. Are you watching this season back? Well, we have to because we filmed the reunion. Oh yes, of course. So I had to be prepared. I guess I heard Heather doesn't watch at all. Emily doesn't.
Starting point is 01:41:14 Oh. Oh, Heather does. She does? She does, it's Emily. Oh, is Heather pretending not to watch? Oh, I don't know. I mean, no, she watches, I think. We just heard, we heard a rumor,
Starting point is 01:41:24 so we don't know. That may not be true she had she watches I think we just heard it. We heard a rumor so We're not in Heather's home Watching I just I know that Emily doesn't and you know Filming is one thing and you know what you filmed for me watching it watching it as the hardest because that's when you find Out what people say behind your back. Yeah, and what has been the most difficult thing for you to watch Tamra's comments, you know, it's just that And what has been the most difficult thing for you to watch? Tamra's comments, you know, just that, they're so harsh and she's just so angry and you know, and I'm over the friendship, you know?
Starting point is 01:41:52 It's like I have had the opportunity to step back and analyze this 10 year friendship that we've had. And there've been so many ups and downs and there's always something I'm doing wrong in her eyes. What I'm saying the wrong thing or not doing something. And then in the end, there's the tears and oh, I'm so sorry, I wanna be your friend again. And I'm not gonna go on that roller coaster anymore.
Starting point is 01:42:15 She's trying to get back into your good graces? No, I'm not saying that. The reunion is something, it didn't go the way that I thought it would go, but no, I am still in therapy and I need to be in healthy relationships and that friendship is not healthy. Period. I mean, I think that is very obvious
Starting point is 01:42:37 throughout the season. I think we are all shocked to see some of the stuff that Tamara says too and behind your back. What do you feel like, are you shocked that Gina has been the most loyal? Oh absolutely, you know I, it's so weird with her because when I came in to see her at the first scene, there was Heather had her luncheon and a lot of times this season I become overwhelmed with emotion when I'm talking to her. And I just, I feel badly for not accepting her. Because for a while, right after her divorce,
Starting point is 01:43:09 we did spend time together and I really enjoyed her. But I feel badly for everything that I did to her that was unkind. And, you know, we have an amazing friendship right now. We really do. And I feel horrible about the stuff that's coming out right now on the show. As soon as that comes up, you know,
Starting point is 01:43:28 I don't wanna talk about it because it's gonna be on the show. So I just, you know, I don't wanna hurt her. So I just shutting down. You wanna blame me for whatever, I'll take 100% of the blame. Yeah, that's what we said on Reality Recap is just that it's like Tamra is bringing things to the show
Starting point is 01:43:44 that clearly some of these people don't wanna talk about on the show. Absolutely, you're right. But you know what though? See, I didn't realize I did. When we were in London, I showed Jen that Tamra had done this background investigation, and that then brought up an old topic.
Starting point is 01:44:04 What was the old topic it brought up? And I, and I don't even know what it was. There was some lawsuit years ago, and I guess Ryan wasn't involved in it. But you know, me talking about that, all of a sudden sheds light on it. And that isn't, I felt really badly about that. So I just, you know, I'm not, people can believe it. Say I investigate whatever.
Starting point is 01:44:21 If I'm not getting along with someone, yeah, I will say snarky things like, yeah, let's take her down or I don't want her here. You know, I can't stand her because we're not getting along. But I don't investigate. I don't even have Siri on my phone and let's just leave it at that. I don't even know where to start.
Starting point is 01:44:41 There's also like a difference between like Googling a couple things versus investigating. Investigating is like a whole thing. Is different. Yeah. Googling some tea and maybe thinking about gossiping is not quite the same. But I don't like to do that either.
Starting point is 01:44:56 I'm sorry. And I'm no saint. Again, I'm not a saint. But I don't like to do that. I think that's going below the belt. Your ex loves to keep saying how you are so good at making yourself the victim. And while I, again, haven't known you for that long,
Starting point is 01:45:12 you just, again, sound like someone who hasn't been trying to make themselves a victim and has acknowledged their wrongdoing. And maybe you haven't always done that in the past, but why do you think he's so obsessed with you? That's my question. You know, I really don't know. Because a victim actually is someone who sits back
Starting point is 01:45:29 and blames other people and doesn't do anything. Like I'm still trying to make myself a better person. So I'm not a victim and it really, oh, you know, Tamra has put that victim, victim, victim out there for years and I'm tired of that. I don't know, you know, it's interesting. I got a DM and I never look at the DMs, but I happened to look the other day and someone said, I'm sitting next to John Jansen at a
Starting point is 01:45:50 restaurant and all he's doing is talking about you. And then she sent me photographs of him and his animated hands and all of that. And it's like, yikes. But you know, I don't know. Well, like I wanted to ask Alexis at the reunion, but I didn't have a chance to say, if you sleep in the same bed with John, how many minutes go by before my name is uttered when you wake up in the morning? That would have been great. That's a really good question.
Starting point is 01:46:14 I wanted to ask it, damn it. You can actually just look to camera right there and ask Alexis. How many minutes go by every morning when you wake up with John before my name is mentioned? One maybe? Answer. Two? Bitch.
Starting point is 01:46:27 Five max. In fairness to John, it might be Alexis who brings it up first because she equally seems obsessed. I don't know. They keep saying for me to move on and I have. I just don't want to talk about them. I don't want to think about them. You are doing us a favor. We are talking about them. Okay. I don't wanna talk about them. I don't wanna think about them. Listen, you are doing us a favor.
Starting point is 01:46:43 We are talking about them. Okay, okay. So I wanna be clear to anyone listening, Shannon would talk about anything else other than John and Alexis, but she is doing us a favor. We want the answers. No, and that's perfectly fine.
Starting point is 01:46:58 I mean, that's the thing. When all this is happening, of course that's gonna be the first question anybody asks me. It would be the first question anybody asks me. It would be the first question I'd wanna answer. Well, he seems like a bully, your ex, to me. I don't wanna get you in trouble. I don't know if he wants to see.
Starting point is 01:47:14 It is what it is. I mean, I don't think this is about money. I think it's about his, quote, reputation. I mean, the last, right, I didn't. How's that going for him? Yeah, he's ruining it himself. I did watch what happens live and like 10 minutes before I went on, I tried to settle it again with him
Starting point is 01:47:31 and he came back with, if I issue a public statement saying that he was generous during the relationship and that I didn't pay for everything. And I'm not alleging that I did, just at the beginning I did. And that he, and that I knew that when he gave me money, it was a loan. But he wants people to think he's a generous person.
Starting point is 01:47:52 So. This sounds like you were being held hostage and you're like holding a newspaper and there's like a gun behind a camera. And you're like, he is generous. He is a good person. I kind of wish I was to say, I wish Shannon, honestly, I kind of wish you would have agreed to it.. I kind of wish, I was going to say, I wish Shannon honestly, I kind of wish you would have agreed to it because I kind of wish you would have like gone on an Instagram live
Starting point is 01:48:10 and didn't be like, all right, John was super generous, you know, like and do and real lean in. I think I kind of wish you would have done that. He didn't say in what tone. You didn't have to say it. You didn't have to say it. You didn't have to say it. You just meant it. I'm sure it wouldn't be satisfactory.
Starting point is 01:48:28 No, nothing will appease him. Right, right. And that's when I was in the reunion last season. I was so stressed out because it was like, you gotta defend me, you gotta defend me, da da da da da. And when I came back and I went through the list of things that I had said, it wasn't good enough. And I said, whatever I said, you know, through the list of things that I had said,
Starting point is 01:48:45 you know, it wasn't good enough. And I said, whatever I said, it'll never be good enough. And even though I said X, Y, and Z, we don't know if they're going to put X, Y, and Z on because we filmed for like hours and hours for the reunion. So. We have, I feel like very much had your back with these quote unquote videos that Alexis wants to keep throwing out. I think Nick, you've said it very well of like anything you see from that night,
Starting point is 01:49:07 you can't imagine it's going to be like. I'm just like, did you kill someone? Well, the thing is, I mean, I really, I had a lot to drink and I was- You made some mistakes, I know that. I was 2.4, whatever that, yeah, it was a lot. And so I don't remember things that happened during that night. So yeah, it's hard because I've come so far and it's well over a year now, a little over a year. And I just, I don't know, why bring that up?
Starting point is 01:49:35 Like I don't wanna be the David Hasselhoff eating the hamburger video out there. Because he wants you to suffer and he's a bully. I don't know what's on it. But- We don't care. He says he's not bully. I don't know what's on it, but. We don't care. He says he's not going to release it. So I'm hopeful because it just would be, I don't think it would be a good look for him. Well, I mean, it's definitely won't make him look any better.
Starting point is 01:49:55 And whatever you did. I'll probably be like, yeah, she was having a bad night. Like we know that already. Honey, you know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, I mean, it's bad. The whole thing is bad and I'm so horrified about it. People will be kind to me and they'll say, oh, I had a DUI too.
Starting point is 01:50:10 And it's like, yeah, when you were 20, I was flipping 59. So I tried to lead by example for my kids. So it wasn't a good look. And you seem appropriately embarrassed. And when people like us, not that we're trying to let you off the hook, but we wanna offer you grace and you're very quick to say,
Starting point is 01:50:29 hey, I did that shit. You've clearly owned your mistake, which is what I don't understand about your peers because they keep acting like you have it, which is so bizarre. I don't know if they're not listening to you. Yeah, I don't know. I will not listening to you. Yeah, I don't know. I will say though that where I am today,
Starting point is 01:50:48 I don't know that I would have got to this point if all the things hadn't happened. I really don't think that I would have. So at some point I'll say I'm super grateful for it all, but it is what it is. And if I can say I'm happy today, that's a good thing. I don't know that I've ever been happier. And I'm by myself.
Starting point is 01:51:07 And that's the thing, I didn't go on a date for a year because I wanna know that I will be okay. I wanna find that partner. But if I don't, I'm gonna be okay by myself because I did it. Is it me or does it seem like a lot of the men in OC are obsessed with the housewives? Because it seems like, well, you got John,
Starting point is 01:51:26 who dated you and now dating Alexis, and then we have Alexis' ex was seen out to dinner with some other former housewife. They kind of seem like housewife chasers. I don't know. I mean, John hadn't watched any episodes when he met me, but I think he did a crash course and watched a lot. But I don't know that.
Starting point is 01:51:49 I mean, it's a really small town, and I don't go out all that often. It's just a small town. You hear things. No, I know, but there's only like five or six housewives. Yeah, I mean, it's just a lot. Well, I guess maybe over the years there's more. But these guys seem to always find their way into the show.
Starting point is 01:52:03 Yeah, I don't know. I'm not out there in the scene, But like these guys seem to always find their way into the show. Yeah, I don't know. I'm not out there in the scene, so I don't really know a lot about that. You made a statement on the show that you were saying like, this is my real life and the women jumped on it. But with everything, I feel like there's so many blurred lines with like your ex, your relationships, new co-stars. Well, it kind of makes me mad because there are certain castmates that might
Starting point is 01:52:27 not show you everything and I do. So what I meant by that statement was, you know, when the show's over and if I'm not getting along with this person, I cannot speak to them until we film again. Like you can, you can shut it off. I can't shut it off. I still have a lawsuit. Yeah. You know, I still, there are still things going on
Starting point is 01:52:45 that I can't just say, okay, we're not filming anymore, I don't have to deal with it for a couple of minutes. And that's what I meant. Right. Well, and we love Heather. But it was a bit of a disingenuous comment from Heather because we know Heather doesn't want her entire life on this show. That's why, and I respected her for it.
Starting point is 01:53:02 I respected her for trying to have that off-camera moment with Terry, you know, that was like, hey, don't talk to me that way. I know it was a hot mic moment and it caught its way, but I respected her wanting to protect her relationship there, and it's like, to your point, you guys don't film 365 all year round, and so for her to make that comment,
Starting point is 01:53:21 especially her, of all people, we know she loves a boundary when it comes to her life and her TV life, and she's not putting her entire life on TV. She's very clearly selective. We have no problem with that, so it's kind of bullshit for her to call you out for that. Well, that was just a hard dinner for me. I was so excited to finally, in 10 seasons, I had never hosted an all cast trip. So it was funny because every time I filmed,
Starting point is 01:53:45 I would go, wouldn't it be fun to go to Europe for my 60th birthday? And so production, it got to be a joke in the end that would take a bet. How many minutes before Shannon brings up that trip? I was lobbying for it all season. And you got it. Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 01:53:59 And like I flew and I came home early. So yeah, it was super great. We love that. Well, I mean, yeah. Your co-stars hated it. They seemed to try to ruin it. I think Shannon hated it. Yeah, no, I mean, it was bad.
Starting point is 01:54:11 It was bad. I hated that that was like your birthday trip and every night it was a tax payment night. Every single day. And so I asked in that last lunch, can we please just, I'm not confronting anybody. I don't want, I have had a hell trip. I just want to have a nice afternoon.
Starting point is 01:54:26 That didn't happen. So I went home. It must be exhausting. Joel Kim Booster, did you like take a baseball bat to his kneecaps or something? Nope. Or spit on his face? No, I was very shocked.
Starting point is 01:54:38 I was in the airport, you know, we had wrapped and the last thing that when I saw him is when we finished filming, he had tears in his last thing that I, when I saw him is when we finished filming, he had tears in his eyes for me and he hugged me. So I really, I don't know what's going on. And it's, it's hurtful and it's upsetting to me because I always get close to the crew there. I consider them like my family. And in fact, the first night of production, I went into craft services, I go, I'm going to get to know you all, we're going to be together for over three weeks
Starting point is 01:55:06 and we're gonna become a big family. So I don't know. It's really, really, it was really hurtful. Where were you when you found out about that? In the airport. You were in the airport? In the airport with some of my castmates and some of the guys from the show, the men,
Starting point is 01:55:23 and with some of the producers actually. And what was your first thought? Like what's going on? Were the people around you just as shocked? Absolutely, every single person was, the girls Giselle Luanne and Ashley, who I loved to death. Like we're bonded for life now, but they were really supportive.
Starting point is 01:55:39 Just everyone was surprised. When he apologized, it made him look so much worse. I felt like well It wasn't I I don't feel when someone says oh, I'm sorry I caused her to spiral and I hope she can make her way back. I didn't spiral so I don't know But it's also like the things that he said in his original post Yeah, I hope she suffers that's like talked about your children. Yeah, I mean no that the talking about my girls who you know who? Were part of it. Um that was really they were upset about it And then he was like he went on some podcast was like
Starting point is 01:56:15 Like he had a bad day like is if he like oops he was like, uh, of course I didn't mean that I was like what you don't say something like that and say like ask for takes back seas or whatever and fuck he was doing. Well, you know, when the show airs, I'm so excited about the show airing by the way. It's gonna be really good. But when you see the show, he's gonna look silly because we were nothing but friendly with each other.
Starting point is 01:56:41 Did he directly apologize to you? I did get an email. An email? He sent get an email. Okay. That email? He sent me an email, yes. So formal. That's some weak shit. An email?
Starting point is 01:56:50 He could have gotten your phone number from someone. Have you forgiven him or are we kind of just like a? I mean, I can forgive anyone, but you can forgive, you don't need to forget. And I don't think it was a genuine apology and I'll just leave it at that. Yeah, I was such a fan of him and then he did that and I was like, you know, like,
Starting point is 01:57:08 I think we were all about that person in my orbit. Well, I think we were all shocked and I think it was all like, no one, you know, none of us were on that set. We had no idea like, you know, what you had done. That was so terrible. But at the end of the day, we're like, she has been going through a lot.
Starting point is 01:57:22 Like if she snapped at someone, that's allowed. We offer her grace for that. like, she has been going through a lot. Like if she snapped at someone, that's allowed. We offer her grace for that. Like clearly she's been going through a lot. She's been under a lot of stress. Like, I don't know what she could have done that like would give this sort of response, but hearing like you've done nothing is just. Well, no, I mean, we all get tired and we,
Starting point is 01:57:41 like each one of us had points where like, okay, like I haven't eaten, or, you know, I'm exhausted or I need to get, I need to take a walk away. Yeah. But you know, it wasn't like berating and screaming and, and no, not at all. What was so crazy about it is that he did a thing and then tried to take it back and being like, as if it was an overreaction of them. So whatever he accused you of, he accused you of essentially having some moment of which he felt like you and there's like, and then the thing he did was the thing that he is essentially accusing
Starting point is 01:58:16 you of like doing something so horrific, saying something so horrific publicly. I didn't. And all I can say is I didn't. So, you know, who knows? Maybe one day he'll realize that anything he thinks that I did, I don't treat people, I think he said subhuman, I don't do that. Oh yeah, subhuman. He treated you subhuman. Where do you and Alexis stand today?
Starting point is 01:58:39 Nowhere. Yeah. Where do you and Tamra? Opposite poles of the. Yeah. You know, I'm not speaking to Tamra. Opposite poles of the group. You know, I'm not speaking to Tamra. So, you know, we are where we are. I get to take that break.
Starting point is 01:58:51 Yeah. If you could put Tamra on pause, would you? What does on pause mean? Oh, you mean like, you know what? I don't ever like to comment about, oh, I wish someone won't come back on the show. Cause it's everyone's livelihood, you know? So I don't want to mess with that.
Starting point is 01:59:09 But I did it, I filmed with her. So, you know, if I needed to, but you know, it's never going to be the same with her. It isn't. Yeah. What do you think Tamra's real problem with you is? Cause I feel like you guys start off the season, like she apologizes
Starting point is 01:59:25 or you guys come to terms with things and then you're fine and then she just keeps picking at you, picking at you, starting with you again and this past season I'm like the vitriol that's come out of her against you. It's like, what did you do to her? I don't know. Literally nothing. Well, I said she had a big ego. She does. And I'll admit that. And she heard that I said that to someone. Okay, I did. Because last time she was upset because you guys didn't speak when she wasn't on the show. But I did speak and I have text messages to prove it. But see, I don't like to go tit for tat.
Starting point is 01:59:53 I don't think the viewers like to see that either. No, you did. Yeah, I didn't. It's like no one wants to see that. So it's like, and that's, I have done that quite often. It's like brush things under the rug in deference to the friendship because I didn't wanna get into it and have that battle. But now I'm gonna have to get more into that nitty gritty
Starting point is 02:00:13 if necessary. Are you drawing the line for the friendship? Or is there never a way back or are you? Oh, you know, right now I will say no, there is no way back. No, it's a toxic relationship. And I am doing everything I can Oh, you know, right now I will say no, there is no way back, no. It's a toxic relationship, and I am doing everything I can
Starting point is 02:00:29 to eliminate toxicity from my life. What do you think of her most recent comments regarding her diagnosis? Okay, so, you know, I, yeah. I don't really wanna comment on her mental health. All I can say is I hope she gets the support she needs. Graceful queen.
Starting point is 02:00:47 What is life like for you today? Well, it's kind of fun. I could lie. You could say it. Like, with this new show, we film our interview with confessionals in New York, so I'm gonna be spending a lot of time back there, and I have two of my three daughters that live in New York City.
Starting point is 02:01:02 So, I'm having fun. And I met a lot of new people on the show, The Love Hotel, and I have, we're all going to be friends for life. So I'm meeting up with some of them. So I was spending time with them. We're just really good friends. So just having fun. And, and you know what, I don't know that I am, I don't know that I'm even ready for a relationship right now. And I think that's okay. It's just, I wanna have fun and then maybe at some point say, okay, where do I have the most fun?
Starting point is 02:01:31 Who do I have the most fun with? Kind of thing. But you deserve it, Chana. Have any men reached out at all? Even though I know you're not necessarily ready, but. I mean, I did meet people on the show and I'll just leave it at that. Would you say yes to being the next Golden Bachelorette?
Starting point is 02:01:49 Well, I did, but you know, we have some producers that work for the Bachelor franchise, and I said, what about me being the Golden Bachelorette? And then I said, I know you're gonna use somebody from the past, so whatever, you know, we just kinda put it out there. And then Andy called me and he said, we have an interesting idea. And they, they asked me to join that, the show, the love hotel.
Starting point is 02:02:09 So I kind of am a golden bachelorette on the love hotel. And I was the oldest I was, I'm 60. So, yeah. Oh, I can't wait. Yeah. It's, it's really good. Yeah. It's just really good because, and I, I started watching the golden bachelorette.
Starting point is 02:02:23 I have to meet Joan. I just feel like I, we have lot of stuff in common. But in her show and in Love Hotel, you get story because we're older. Like it's not just like we're young and dating. It's like we have story and issues and we're all single for a reason. So we all have triggers and all that sort of stuff. So it's good. When you're kicking it, when you're not filming TV shows, what are you doing for fun right now? Well, I've been traveling a lot and moving, and I'm moving this week before I go back to New York, and I have a really, really small group of friends.
Starting point is 02:02:56 And sometimes, like last night, Archie and I went out to dinner by ourselves. I have these neighborhood restaurants that are walking distance and I just do a rotation. So Archie and I went out. That's crazy that I would go out to dinner by myself, but I did. How just very new age of you.
Starting point is 02:03:10 Truly, she's like opening up a new can of worms. Who am I? Do we have any hope that this nonsense with John and this silly lawsuit that he's doing, any clue when you might be able to put this totally behind you? I mean, I do want to and so does my attorney, but we don't know if the other side wants to put it to bed because people are talking about you when the lawsuit is still going on. So, and that's a bummer.
Starting point is 02:03:37 Do you think they're hanging on to it to help ensure that Alexis gets back on next season? I feel like that's maybe like. They, you know what, go ahead. And if everyone wants to bring Alexis back, then have a nice time with her, because I'm not filming with her ever again. I'm not, no, I'm not gonna. There's a boundary.
Starting point is 02:03:54 No, I'm not gonna put myself through that again. It was really, really difficult. And I, you know, someone told me that recently she said, oh, well, it was difficult for me. Well, do you should. I saw that immediately, that was crazy. You didn't need me. Well, do you? I saw that. That was crazy. You didn't need to come then, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:07 Actually. Sorry. That was so crazy. I'm like, no, Alexis, we don't care about you or feel bad at all. Well, I took her place, sorry. And I'm still here after 10 years. I mean, who knows if I'm here for year 11,
Starting point is 02:04:22 but for now 10 seasons and I'm still sitting here. And then she says, well, I mean, who knows if I'm here for year 11, but for now 10 seasons and I'm still sitting here. And then she says, well, I'm, well, I back after 10 years, well, as a friend. Talking about you, obsessed with you. I think you said that on the show, didn't you? Yeah, you did. Yeah, you did. That was like funny.
Starting point is 02:04:41 I did, I did at a dinner. You did, I did. So, do you know, they're like, if you won't film with her. I just, I mean, I think it's pretty clear that it was a lot for me. I do feel like, I don't know that I really said anything unkind. Well, it's one thing to film with.
Starting point is 02:05:01 I am now a little bit, sorry. No, sorry. Well, I think you're allowed to. This woman has been coming after you constantly. She says I am, so it's just, it's frustrating. And, you know, whatever, enough is enough. So, and I don't know, that's the first time I said that. So now I'm probably in trouble.
Starting point is 02:05:19 No, you're not in trouble. But I have no interest in it. I'm not gonna do that to myself again. 100%. That seems like a human thing to say, Shannon. No, thank you. It is, I mean it's one thing to film. How can you be in trouble
Starting point is 02:05:31 for protecting your mental health? Yeah, I mean, I don't know. It is one thing to film with your ex's new partner. That's one thing, cordial, let's try to make, but this person is not, they're trying to make your life hell. They're constantly going after you. It is a total mess up on your mental health.
Starting point is 02:05:49 Like I 100% back you being like, I'm not filming with this person. I'm just, I'm not interested. If Alexis wants to be on this TV show, she needs to come up with a reason to be on it other than being obsessed with you. Yeah. Because it's not that,
Starting point is 02:06:03 she has to be interesting on her own. How many times do you think she practiced, there's the door, Shannon Baddour, in the mirror? Multiple. Yeah, I think so too. Did the dog situation weird you out, her having the same dog as you? Yeah, I mean, I-
Starting point is 02:06:22 She's obsessed. It's wild. She's obsessed. The answer to all the questions is yes. But I think she got had the dog for a while, I think. I don't know. Of course. Shannon, we know you gotta get going,
Starting point is 02:06:32 but we just wanna say thank you so much for coming. Thank you guys. I feel so honored that you've been so kind. We just call it like we see it. This year, Nick. I mean. Yeah. Well, I just, yeah. Yeah, I just, yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:45 Well, we're not disingenuous. We really are friends of you, and we love watching these shows because we do know that people fuck up and make mistakes, and we can criticize that, but we enjoy people like you who have been willing to, as difficult as it can seem, and be sometimes,
Starting point is 02:07:06 to try their best to hold themselves accountable and improve on themselves. And it's been really fun and enjoyable to watch you this season. Thank you. And it's, yeah, we've become such fans. So good luck the rest of the way. We can't wait to see you on the Love Hotel.
Starting point is 02:07:19 Yes, yes, the Love Hotel. Fall in love on Love Hotel. Okay, all right. Bye Shannon. Medora. Thank you. Thanks for listening. We appreciate all our guests, Shannon, Danny, and Whitney joining the show.
