Starting point is 00:00:00 What's going on everybody? Welcome back to another episode of the Vile Files Reality Recap Edition. I am your host Nick and once again we got a jam-packed episode for you lots to get into momentarily Suzy Evans is with us to talk about I guess her breakup because like her time on paradise Which was basically just to be like hey just guys we dated and we're gonna break up Well, we'll get it all from her. We'll get it all from her. Also. We have a Maya papaya and her boo Brian joining us later this episode excited excited to talk with them both. If you haven't heard our episode with Love Island star Chris Sealy, also known as Huda's ex,
Starting point is 00:00:52 he was with us yesterday for Going Deeper, great conversation with him, stand up guy, just really enjoyed our conversation with him and he shared really everything about his whole experience, his relationship with Huda, all the tea, all the things that happened behind the scenes. Really gave us some great insight, especially the heart rate challenge.
Starting point is 00:01:12 I thought that was very interesting what he said about that, but you're gonna have to go and listen to it to figure it all out. We also have for all you The Summer I Turn Pretty fans, Christopher Briney joins us to talk with us about the upcoming new season. For all you Conrad fans out there.
Starting point is 00:01:29 All you Conrad fans out there, he is with us. And then don't forget, we have a special episode for you tomorrow. Iris and Pepe are joining us and we are excited to talk to them. Are they even dating? Because like she was hanging out with TJ, I don't know. I think it was just like a like oh, TJ, let's meet.
Starting point is 00:01:46 She also hugged Austin. Thropel. You know, in the same video. So you watch, do you wanna talk Love Island first? Cause I know you're a big fan. Sure. Or do you wanna get into? Either way, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:01:56 If we're talking about it, I'm down to join. Oh my God. All right. Well, we have talked about it. Honestly, we're kind of exhausted talking about it. No, I'm glad it's over. Are you feeling Love Island fatigue at this point? I am Love Island fatigued, yes.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Now is it because of just like the 30 episodes or is it all the just like online craziness? I think it's a mixture of the online craziness and also I feel like there wasn't like a ton to root for this season. Like last season there was so much, like I was so invested in the dynamics, the relationships, I was wondering what was gonna happen.
Starting point is 00:02:29 And then this season I was like, I liked people individually, but there wasn't a lot to root for is what I felt like. So I was kinda like, all right, like I'm ready to wrap this up. Yeah, I'm done. It'll be interesting how things play out because like you said last season,
Starting point is 00:02:41 you had a lot to root, you had like the relationships. And its biggest stars were, it's shocking in the weirdest possible way, there are a lot of, last season had reality TV stars who knew how to be in the limelight. You know what I'm saying? They almost knew how to handle themselves and not be that messy and things like that
Starting point is 00:03:01 and then have longevity. It'll be interesting to see how this cast handles themselves. I don't know, remember that reunion, Janaye had her popcorn. She was definitely like, I'm a little messy. and things like that and then have longevity. It'll be interesting to see how this cast handles themselves. I don't know, remember that reunion, Janae had her popcorn. She was definitely like, I'm a little messy. That's true, but they settled in. They settled in, yes. They definitely settled in.
Starting point is 00:03:14 But yeah, it'll be interesting to see, you know, so much like, you know what it's like for reality TV stars to go online and get too deep into the weeds into their like fandom and and get on Reddit pages. And then you see reality TV stars like edit themselves in live or on social media. They're responding to the internet constantly. They don't even realize they're doing it.
Starting point is 00:03:36 And it's just a recipe for disaster. It'll be interesting to see how this group handles it. Because obviously I think their audience is very loud and very demanding of them. Yeah I was thinking about this yesterday probably just because I'm being pulled back into this universe a bit but I was like I don't even know how much of what I'm experiencing is reality and how much is like what is catered to me online based on like messages I'm getting or things I'm like articles I'm being fed and it's's a really weird thing because it feels like the whole world and it feels like this narrative that exists,
Starting point is 00:04:09 but sometimes I'm like, is this even reality? It's also like sometimes you'll reach out to maybe a friend that's not in this and you're like, hey, have you seen, I have no idea what you're talking about. Who are these people? And it's like, okay, that's not, got it. Not the entire world. Just my for you page.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Yeah, exactly. It's my for you page. Yeah, exactly. It's my algorithm. I'm lucky enough to have a team now because now I'm pretty close to getting completely offline. Cause I like- It's like we love a man with no social media. We love, I love that for you.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Blessed. I said this like a year ago, like having like screen time is literally being tapped into the matrix. You're just part of a video game and you're part of like a year ago, having screen time is literally being tapped into the matrix. You're just part of a video game and you're part of a different universe that is not reality. And if you disconnect from that phone
Starting point is 00:04:53 and engage with people, it's not real. Yeah. And it's like. It's like a sim. True, it's becoming, going online and whether you're a public figure, or a reality TV's like a sim, like sims. It's becoming, like going online and whether you're a public figure, or a reality TV star, a celebrity, or just someone who's on their phone a lot,
Starting point is 00:05:11 when you're engaging in that community, or it's, again, it's just, it's not reality. It's not like people can just go on their phones and like, and just say shit, you know what I'm saying? It's just so easy to type or record a video, give an opinion, go offline, go do your thing. People aren't treating you the same online as they would in person.
Starting point is 00:05:30 No, no one's that bold. No one's that bold. I've never had anyone come up to me and say half the things that are in my messages. Absolutely not, they would never. They would never, they could never. They'd say, oh my God, hi. I dare you, actually, please.
Starting point is 00:05:43 It's always funny to be. You know what, challenge. Yeah. Because I mean, oh my God, hi. I dare you, actually, please. It's always funny to. You know what, challenge. Yeah, challenge. Because then I always think people, you're a perfect example. I would guess that the average friend of yours or average fan thinks you don't get much hate. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Yeah. I would say, yeah, I would say the general consensus, and I can also acknowledge more so positive than negative But there's still I feel like no matter what you do. There is going to be so much negative And of course we are drawn to that Yeah more so than the 50 nice comments you see 10 negative ones and you're like, oh my gosh, everyone hates me What is your love island hot take of the season whether Whether it's a favorite character, person, or couple you're most interested to follow, a Love Island conspiracy.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I don't know that this is a hot take, but like, is that normal? Like on a Love Island, do they always wear heels like that? So I saw Kailer post something being like, can't believe they're doing this. Yeah. Like I would have, like, I couldn't have done that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Like props to them. So I don't think it was a this. I couldn't have done that, props to them. So I don't think it was a thing last season, but it definitely was this season. This year I was like- I wasn't paying attention to that. Everyone pretty much did. Like throughout the day, I was like, how are they functioning?
Starting point is 00:06:57 And honestly, I was like questioning myself. I was like, should I be wearing heels to the pool? No, literally. It's like, what is wrong with me? Yeah, that's how I was feeling for a long time. And I was like, no wonder this hasn't worked out for me. Like, you're doing something wrong. Well, flip flops are kind of disgusting.
Starting point is 00:07:14 No, I know. I think it's like barefoot or like, or like the- Wait, wait, that's crazy work. On men. But not great on anyone, really. It was the slow lift for me. I'll see myself out. On men. But not great on anyone really. It was the slow lift for me. I'll see myself out.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Clip that. Okay. A slow motion. Well speaking of, you know, just like reality TV. Anyways. Are you watching this Bachelor in Paradise? Yeah, I've seen the first three episodes. I think I'll continue.
Starting point is 00:07:47 We'll see. I got it. Out of the gates, slow. Slow. But things are heating up. I'm, I'm, I'm starting to enjoy it. Out of the gate, a little too much B-roll. A lot of slow-mo B-roll.
Starting point is 00:08:00 A lot of slow-mo B-roll. Yeah. Drone shots. A lot of drone shots. A lot. It's, we're, we're close, we're. Drone shots. A lot of drone shots. Yeah. We're close to three hours. I did see you post about this, but your intro.
Starting point is 00:08:12 So like, were they like, hey, you're gonna get a slow-mo, and then they were like, oh, it's raining and you're coming in at night, so we're just gonna hand you this umbrella. Yeah, I didn't get a slow-mo even. You didn't. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:23 But it's okay. I don't think I've ever had a slow-mo and I'm didn't. I know. Like, but it's OK. I don't think I've ever had a slow-mo, and I'm very jealous. Let me hook you up. I was going to say, I, like, this season is a wedding videographer's dream. The drones, the slow-mo. I'm like, that's my brand.
Starting point is 00:08:34 The B-roll. I'm like, that is what I did for a living. So I love it on that side of it. And I'm like, let me hook you up with a little slow-mo video. He needs one. Yeah, we'll get you one. I think for our wedding video we did. Okay, but you're a star.
Starting point is 00:08:49 So like the fact that they didn't film even just like after you were even gone of like, hey, let's just get you a quick. Yeah, do the people making that TV show know what a star is? Thanks guys. Cause they don't seem to know. They're just like, yeah, we're gonna send you home. guys. Um. Cause they don't seem to know. They're just like, yeah, we're going to send you home.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Yeah. I definitely, I realized even watching it back, I was like, oh, like maybe my storyline really was just to like come in while Justin and Lexi were having a conversation. Obviously I didn't know it was going to be Justin and Lexi, but like I really thought like going there, I was super optimistic and I was like, I'm so ready. Like, this is gonna be so fun. And that was like a choice to have that mindset because I haven't been on TV in four years,
Starting point is 00:09:32 like haven't gone on, like, you know, been on a show. And I was, I think a lot of people have this perception of like, I'm never going back, I hate it. And I'm like, I literally had so much fun on the show. Like, it was the time of my life, and so I was just genuinely so excited to be back. And then, yeah, I don't know. I realized being there and then watching it back,
Starting point is 00:09:54 I was like, oh, maybe that was really all I was needed for there, which is really disappointing for me, because I was excited to go back and just have the experience. Did you know that Justin was gonna be there? Yeah. Okay, and did you guys talk before?
Starting point is 00:10:07 Yes, we had a phone call right before Paradise. Okay, and what'd you guys do? Just kinda saying we have each other's back. Yes, yeah, kind of. We basically were in no contact for three months before, but we also both knew that we had been contacted right after our breakup, and I think for both of us, it was like probably to we were I think that was the sentiment for both of us where it was like, hey, like, we just came out of a
Starting point is 00:10:31 relationship probably too soon touch base with us later. And, you know, we have the same manager, we have this similar friend group, like we both knew that the other was going. And I reached out and was like, hey, we should probably have a conversation. And so we just kind of set boundaries of like, what's appropriate to talk about, what we don't wanna talk about.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Also, we aired out anything that we needed to air out before going, we have a real world relationship and yeah, we're going on a show, but I'm not interested in airing that out. And so yeah, we just kind of like set boundaries and set everything we needed to say. And we both acknowledge like there's so much love here. Like we definitely we're not going to make this hell for each other because we could have. Yeah. Like for sure. You know, four months fresh out of a relationship on a dating show. What could go wrong? No, literally. I was way too optimistic.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Why did it all go wrong? I was pissed, I was way too optimistic. Why did it all go wrong? I was pissed, I was pissed that you both left. It seemed crazy, like did they just not have enough beds? I think it was- Is it a living situation? Honestly, it's just like, they bring a bunch, it just seemed like they got rid of a bunch of people right before they brought in the seniors.
Starting point is 00:11:41 And is it just like a room situation? I don't know if it was a room and bed or if it was like the amount of Goldens that were there versus us. That kind of equals out to what I think old paradise was, like the numbers. So maybe that was more so like, oh, this is the amount of numbers that there typically are.
Starting point is 00:11:56 So it had to be split between Goldens and young contestants, younger, 31, younger contestants. So I don't know exactly, but for as much as like people are saying oh they're trying to be Love Island I'm like this is where they should have taken a note from Love Island's book I'm like leave us vulnerable like okay I didn't get a rose keep me here for another date and I'm vulnerable and one person goes home of the four girls that came in but I I was like, okay, you- What got you producing?
Starting point is 00:12:26 Literally. Well, it does feel like, and I don't remember this. Obviously we haven't had Bachelor in Paradise in a minute. So I don't really remember, but I feel like there's like the rose ceremonies every night with like so many people going home. Yeah. Is it normal?
Starting point is 00:12:41 Like I felt like an old bachelor, it was like every like two episodes, three episodes, there was a rose ceremony. Is that normal? Is it normal? Like I felt like an old Bachelor, it was like every like two episodes, three episodes there was a rose ceremony. Is that wrong? It depends on how often the air and frequencies and things like that. But it is like you and Justin and Lexi, which Lexi had like on her,
Starting point is 00:12:57 Joey season, correct? Was it Joey season? There was like some Batseret, like talk, fandom. Like she has some pull. Even Sam, the villain from Gen Season, he was there for four minutes. And it's just like, I'm trying to forget who-
Starting point is 00:13:14 And Zoe, I mean, Zoe was like- Zoe, a star. Oh my gosh, she was comic relief. And then they bring home, what's his fucking name? He calls himself the Barbie, he's the politician's son. Oh, Sean, Sean. I don't fucking care about him. Like, I'd rather see if Sean has an arc.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I mean, Sam, or whatever. It kind of does feel like there's not enough producing. You know, it's like we do need a little bit of like, okay, maybe you weren't chosen, but like you're still gonna stay because we need you for the television show and give you another chance. And if it doesn't work out then, then like, okay.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Why not take Jeremy up on his offer? To come back? Yeah. Oh, I was sick to my stomach after everything that happened. I was like, no way I'm going back. Also knowing I would be walking into a love triangle, I was like, no way, I'm going back. Also knowing I would be walking into a love triangle, I was like, no, I felt, I was really disappointed how everything went.
Starting point is 00:14:12 And I was like, and also, transparently, I knew who was coming in next. I had figured out the- You knew it was Andrew? Yeah, and following, as the season goes on. I know who ends up coming to the beach. And you were like yuck. No, not even yuck.
Starting point is 00:14:33 But if you look at the, if you look at. If you look at their faces. If you look at the scenario. Whoa. Not my type. You guys. Really trying to be safe here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry, sorry. No, but I just knew, I mean, if you look at like,
Starting point is 00:14:48 in general, me being down there, it's like my ex, Justin, Jonathan, who is a mutual friend of ours, not available to me. And then Andrew coming in, his best friend, like the Pickens were slim. Like even for somebody who isn't me, the Pickens were slim. So I knew what was available to me, and I was like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:15:08 I really gave it my best shot. And also, it would have felt, I don't know. I don't think I could have gone back knowing that what happened with Justin. I just felt so bad. I was like, I'm so sorry. Did you know saying no to his rose would send him home? No.
Starting point is 00:15:21 And that is why I was so sick. Sorry. There's just breaking news. Jack's Taylor's not returning to season three of The Valley. Are they looking for someone to fill the spot? I did not get any airtime on. Wait till we meet! That was so quick.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Oh my gosh, she's free! Her schedule's clear! My schedule is suddenly clear. I don't know if you're watching Bachelor in Paradise, but I am home. It's true, I can see. Do you think he could fill those shoes? No, I couldn't actually.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I think, oh my God. Jax Taylor, no. I don't know, I need to rebrand. He needs to focus on his recovery and Bravo Future is uncertain. You know what I'm saying? So, let's see, through his team, Taylor has issued a statement saying he's stepping away
Starting point is 00:16:09 from the Bravo show himself in order to focus on his recovery and mental health. After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I feel like they weren't probably that honest. I'll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley. Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health and co-parenting relationship.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself, especially for our song, Cruise. I don't feel like he wrote that either. There's a nicely written message. Yeah, it's pretty good. It's pretty good. It didn't come from him.
Starting point is 00:16:33 I'm also like, I just, I don't believe that he willingly stepped down from this. The way that this is just like, it was amicable. I need to focus on this. And like, I'm okay with Brittany still being on the show. Like, no. Anyone who says it's amicable. Yeah, like. He was taken away in like chains. Like on the shit like no Anyone who says it's amicable. Yeah, he was taken away and like chains
Starting point is 00:16:47 Dragged by his ankles, fingernails popped off I feel like that's my go-to though. It's amicable Everything's amicable Everything can be amicable I will say I did enjoy The Goldens more than I thought I would. I did too. I was a little nervous With statements and things that were released before them coming on, of course. But again, it's giving me that wholesome feeling again,
Starting point is 00:17:11 watching the couple that's forming right now, where I was just like, oh, they're being playful in the pool, it's so cute. Question for, I don't think Nellie saw this scene, she was putting River to bed. Sorry, my mother. Sorry, Nick was busy watching TV. Where, was it, am I crazy?
Starting point is 00:17:31 And I don't, did you watch? I did, but. I don't think you watched it. I was, yeah. Did you think Captain Kim was just a little creepy? A little fresh? Like a little, little handsy? We did not like the massage.
Starting point is 00:17:42 I couldn't tell. Who did you give a massage to? April. She says my toes are curling. I did see that. But that could be in like... It was hard to tell honestly. I wasn't sure. Then she goes, I guess. Or something like that.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Jack was worried about it. And I was like, Jack, you've got nothing to worry about. Well, he's got a briefcase full of Viagra for his boys. Literally. I don't think he'll be giving any to Captain. I do want to get Keith to do like a, get some voiceover work. Yeah, I love him.
Starting point is 00:18:15 He needs to get on Calm, the Calm app and read like some kind of lullaby. Nick will have it on repeat every night. Oh, no, yeah. I need this for me. I think we should hire Keith to do some. Oh, I know, yeah. Yes. I need this for me. I think we should hire Keith to do some. Sorry, Nanette, we can't watch River sleeping anymore.
Starting point is 00:18:28 We have to assist him. Or we can have him narrate your slow motion video. This is Nick. Oh my God, genius. Wow, that's good. That's good, that's good stuff. So the thing that was really concerning for me, though, was that I was like, I always thought that it was gonna be
Starting point is 00:18:44 like the Goldens going for the Youngers. I didn't see Jonathan kinda coming out last minute being like, you know, well, April did say where her room number is. So like maybe if to stay in to get a rose. And I was like, Jonathan, I didn't see this for you. April does, I mean, at least this is how it's edited. April looks like she's trying to fuck Jonathan.
Starting point is 00:19:01 And honestly, I take back all of my concerns about age gaps on this show. If this is the age gap that happens. If... I think it's gonna happen. Do you think they're gonna hook up? I do. Jonathan would be a national treasure.
Starting point is 00:19:16 This is Bachelor in Paradise, they're not hooking up. What? This is Bachelor in Paradise, they're not hooking up. I mean, like, it's a new paradise. Were you, were you, you were just at the point? The challenge, the kissing booth. People have sex in the booth. In our boo-boo room? The kissing curtain. Curtain. I mean like, it's a new paradise. Were you, were you, were you the challenge? The kissing booth? People have sex in the booth.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Or the kissing curtain? Curtain. I was disappointed that I wasn't there earlier, but I wasn't disappointed that I missed that. Yeah. That is a big difference between Love Island and Paradise, is that when you see people make out on Bachelor in Paradise, it is very uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Yeah. For the audience. I will say on Love Island, these challenges, they feel like a performance, so it's almost like, it's so crazy, I'm sure there's adrenaline and there's slime splashing and it's wild, where then on The Bachelor, it was like, you walk into a meditation room and it's like,
Starting point is 00:20:00 now we're gonna make out. Yeah, it's like, here's the guy. Yeah. Swiped right. Have an awkward conversation before, hey man. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Did you get to know Kat much? A little bit.
Starting point is 00:20:14 This was the most I've spent time with her. How was she in person? She was great. She was so great. I obviously was there very briefly, but in the quick amount of time I got with her, I thought she was fabulous and she was like very warm and welcoming to me. Because I've only really, I think I've met her before, but I've only really gotten to know her through TV.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And I was like a little nervous at first, just being like, oh, there's some big personalities here, but she was lovely. I do like her. I feel like she's very much like, I'm crazy and I don't give a fuck. Yeah. Yeah. I'm here to be crazy. And I had some conversations with her where she was like, with a lot of people, Dale as well, I had a conversation with Dale that was so lovely and both of them feel like people that really want to work on themselves
Starting point is 00:20:56 and like Kat had made a few comments to me where she was like, you know, I need to be with somebody who maybe has their life together, maybe not life, but has their self together a little bit more. And she's like, I'm really working on myself and investing in myself and I need someone who's okay with being on that journey with me.
Starting point is 00:21:11 And I was like, the self-awareness, I love it. Yeah. Okay. Because I honestly wasn't sure if they had anything in common other than both being hot. I don't know if they have anything in common other than, I don't know. I wasn't a part of it.
Starting point is 00:21:23 They're working on themselves. I didn't ask those questions. But then I also, yeah, I don't know. But we didn't get that date. They're working on themselves. I didn't ask those questions. But then I also, yeah, I had a conversation with Dale and I was like, wow, there's layers to this person who really just looks like a beautiful Greek god statue that's walking and I'm like, who, like, I'm like, there's a person in there. I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Do you feel like he's kind of the like, all star of Bachelor in Paradise a little bit? Cause he's like a little older, maybe a little more successful, a little bit more of an OG. Employed, yeah. Employed. Employed equals success.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Yeah. Nick will say the quiet part out loud. Maybe he's a multi-zillionaire, I don't know, but I just, I am unaware of the mogul that they portray him to be and what he's been doing to mogul. I think he's the person that they were telling me about before going, like they were like,
Starting point is 00:22:15 there's somebody coming that we think you are going to really hit it off with. And I'm like, do tell. Do tell. Do tell. I'm like, put me in, please. They're like, he's older, he's got a real job. And so I was, yeah, you're wrecking your brain. You're like, who the fuck couldn't be?
Starting point is 00:22:37 Because I started watching around Hannah B. Colton's time. So I don't have a lot of context prior. And I'm assuming someone from way back, I'm like bring in a 40 year old, please like something that range I'm like that is literally like right. That is that sweet Like they were talking up somebody. I think that's who it was. I made it, I thought it was multiple people. But I got there and I was like,
Starting point is 00:23:11 oh, this is who they're talking about, but he's occupied, you know? Yeah, and he was busy with two at that point. Honestly, a little bit of three. Who was third? The Zoe Mixon, you know, Ali Jo, Zo, yeah. I'm so sad they sent Zoe home. Her edit was kind of iconic.
Starting point is 00:23:29 It was really good. I mean, her facial expressions. The body. The body, yada yada. What is your take on Brian? Great television. Funny, I think. I think he's funny.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Was I interested when I was there? No, do I think he's gonna like get in, I don't know if he's, I don't really know what happens to be honest, but like I think he's gonna like get engaged, get married in the next year, like family man, probably not, but like really funny to watch. The entrance of him in the little tuk tuk,
Starting point is 00:23:59 is that what it was? I feel like maybe we fast forward it through the moments. Okay, funny as hell, big guy in a little car. I was like hysterical. But I don't know anything about him. I didn't have a single conversation with him other than like an intro. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Did Zoe confide in you at all about her situation with Parisa and Brian? Yeah, she did. Yeah, Zoe did confide and she was not happy. And I felt like, again, me being amicable queen, I'm like, just listening and I'm like, I really don't have context, so I'm like hearing you, but like, I actually don't know,
Starting point is 00:24:37 I can't really validate anything is how I felt. It was like, I don't know what happened. Watching Jeremy's reaction to Bailey, Bailey going on the date with Andrew, what was your opinion? Again, obviously you only, you're sitting in an airport, you get a phone call. Oh, I was actually in transport.
Starting point is 00:24:57 Okay, so you're a liar. Got it. I'm a liar. Got it. You're like, I'm actually literally like, it sounds like you're walking down the jet bridge. You're like, I'm getting on a flight right now. I'm actually literally like, it sounds like you're walking down the jet bridge. You're like, I'm getting on a flight right now. I'm actually in the air. So they could have U-turned. They could have turned the car around.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Yes. I literally was asleep in a transportation. Zoe's sitting next to me. It was like 10 rings and you were like, oh wow. No, I sound messed up. It's a four hour car ride. Let me tell you that. That's the only time I got mad was when I was a four-hour car ride. Let me tell you that that's that's the only time I got mad It was when I was in that four-hour car ride, but yeah, I was like in a four-hour car ride
Starting point is 00:25:29 I've got a great BTS video of me and the driver. We went got dinner together We literally stopped got a full plated meal like just me and him cuz I always stayed in the car. We hung out I was asked he's got two young hot sons and I was like On the side of the road in Costa Rica literally So that's neglect. Yeah, I was like, do you want of the road in Costa Rica, literally. So that's neglect. Yeah. I was like, do you want to live or do you want to do it? I was like, I'm getting dinner with this guy. I had I had two dates in Costa Rica.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Actually, I'm telling you, I was in love with him at all. Well, he has two hot sons. Oh, yes. And he told me about them. How old was he? Over 40s. Over 40s yeah. That's out of my shoes for sure. But the sons are in their 20s but I was like I can work with this. I was just at paradise with a lot of people who are probably in that same range. What was the question? No watching Jeremy freak out and be like, I need Suzy. Get her back.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Where's Suzy? Call Suzy. Great television, I think. It made him look a little possessive. I mean, maybe that's just how it played out. Maybe this is the hot take. I don't know. I think people really want to stay on the show.
Starting point is 00:26:38 I did. I really wanted to be there. I was like, I... Because it didn't look... I honestly wasn't sure. That's why I was so pissed because like you and Justin, I thought were the biggest stars. And it just kind of looked like they had you come down
Starting point is 00:26:50 to be able to just, we dated, we broke up. It was sad. And now we're going home. Now we're going. Like we didn't make a mess on Instagram when we broke up. Yeah. So now we're here. So now we're here.
Starting point is 00:27:01 We're here to do it. In case you didn't believe that we dated. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was, it was. It was real. It was real. And see you later. No, that's like, that is, I think a part of it
Starting point is 00:27:11 that's disappointing for me is like, I literally had so much fun. And it does look like I'm crying. And I've seen a lot of things where like, you're just crying over Justin the whole time either. I'm like, no, I'm crying because when I arrived, I was like, oh, I'm going home. Like you sent me in with an umbrella.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Nobody was really excited to see me. There really was not a lot of like lights on you. There was, no, I feel like they took- Is that? Yeah. Like, oh, a producer is coming. They're in all black with an umbrella. Yeah, literally.
Starting point is 00:27:38 That producer with a little bit of lace on her dress is coming. The producer is serving. Yeah. Okay, may I add? She looks great, but she's coming to bring us water bottles or something. Like I realized as soon as I was being sent in,
Starting point is 00:27:53 I was like, this is not what I thought it was. And I was really disappointed. And when I started crying that night, one, I'm starting the process to get my eggs frozen. I'd just gotten some information back, like before getting there. I had shared that they didn't make the cut, not that I would want it to,
Starting point is 00:28:05 but like I had shared that with Justin. I said, and he knows I'm going through that process, but then he asked me how I was doing and I just started crying because I was like, I'm going home, like there's nobody here for me. Like there is like, everyone felt really coupled up, even Jeremy pulling me and then literally going and sitting with Bailey and they're holding hands or kissing.
Starting point is 00:28:25 And I'm like, I'm not that girl. Like, I'm not going, like you guys have something, I'm not going to push myself into that. And I was like, this just like sucks. Like, I'm not gonna be here long. And then I just started crying. So I was like, I was so excited to be there. And I feel like, yeah, the date looked fun,
Starting point is 00:28:39 but I'm like, I don't think it really showed. I mean, not, and they have to chop stuff out because that's a show, but like, I don't think it really showed. Like mean, not and they have to chop stuff out because that's a show. But like, I don't think it really showed. Like, I really was just like so excited. But I didn't I don't want to take anything from anybody else either. You know, why do you feel like I mean, how many what day did you come in on? What third day? I think it was the end.
Starting point is 00:28:58 It was the end of the fourth or the fifth day. OK, yeah. So I guess why do you feel like people were so coupled up so early? Yeah, I think that comes back to like well, I think Spencer is that way. I think Spencer is that kind of guy He was like I found something great like I'm gonna hone in on this like they hit it off They were like matchmaking heaven from the get-go. I think Dale and Kat they fit well together I mean he was exploring things but he had a lot going on and I think maybe I don't know, but I'm like,
Starting point is 00:29:27 maybe Jeremy got so upset because maybe he did feel a connection with me, but felt like, oh, I've got something going. And like, this feels like there's longevity and like, we're both gonna be able to stay on the show for a long time. And like, I think people really wanted to stay. And so when he's like realizing, oh, now I'm in Jeopardy, like, do I call Suzy back to see if I can stay?
Starting point is 00:29:46 So do you feel like people were coupled up and serious on those couples and less about, oh, well, let's just paradise, let's keep our options open because they were so nervous of going home. They're like, oh, if I just stay coupled up with this one person the whole time, we'll be here the whole time. I think to an extent, yes.
Starting point is 00:30:04 But I also think, yeah. I think to an extent yes, but I also think yeah I think it's like a I think it's a balance of like there were genuine real connections I think all three of those connections were pretty strong connections and I think we'll like see that play out throughout the show like it seems like they they were pretty solid but I also think it's like okay I got a good thing going like do I just hang in there like I think I think it's like, okay, I got a good thing going. Like, do I just hang in there? Like, I think it's a balance. Genuine connection and also like, you know, if I mess this up and I could go home, there's very few spots here.
Starting point is 00:30:31 I also think that the stakes are a little too high with how quickly and how often we're having these pro ceremonies that it's like, no one can genuinely feel like I have time to connect with people and meet people because I can literally be going home if nobody wants me. Like the way Jonathan was at the end of this episode, I was like, I don't see this for you and your personality, but he's like, yeah, I don't think she just asked me
Starting point is 00:30:49 for the rose, but like, you know, the roses are coming up and I guess maybe I'll go for April. Like, you know what I mean? Where I'm like, I just don't think that that's a decision you would be making if you didn't think that there is an ultimate, you're gonna go home. Right. I mean, I was entertained by the episode though.
Starting point is 00:31:04 That's good. It is entertainment. I mean, I was entertained by the episode though. That's good. It is entertaining. I'm glad I served you well. I guess I just. I'm just kidding. I was complaining a lot about the show. No, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I do wanna acknowledge that I have enjoyed it
Starting point is 00:31:15 a little bit, but I am confused. I think this show has proven over the years, it needs star power. It just does, especially when it comes to The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, it's just, you have to have stars. And they're just- They're getting rid of their stars. Or they're just not developing stars.
Starting point is 00:31:33 It's just a lot of like, I mean, I thought Zoe was gonna be a star of the season. She got all this air time, she's funny, she's reactive. She has good takes, she shares her opinions. And then it's just like, now she's gone. I think she's not afraid to, well, I don't think she wants to look bad, but she's not afraid to look bad.
Starting point is 00:31:51 And I think that is something with the Bachelor franchise where everyone's so afraid of looking bad. She's looking good fucking, I love her so much. And I think that's important to have, again, good television. I think Brian's like that. I think Zoe and Brian are equally like, I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do.
Starting point is 00:32:06 And I don't even think they're aware of that it might look bad. I think they're just doing what they would do in the real world, where I feel like a lot of people that go on TV in general now, not just The Bachelor, but it's like, oh, I could get in trouble online. Everyone's gonna hate me for this. Which I get.
Starting point is 00:32:23 It is such a different audience, I feel like, who hold people on The Bachelor to such different standards than they do any other reality TV show. And I feel like that's why maybe people on Bachelor are so nervous to show that side, or be a little messy, or be a little raunchy, or be a little whatever it may be. What did you think of the secrets? I was waiting for someone to say they killed someone.
Starting point is 00:32:44 I wanna know more about the summer playmate. What was his name? RJ? He was like, yeah. Was it a couple he said he serviced? Oh yeah, wait, did someone admit to that? I love how he owned it. He's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Wait, who was it? RJ? RJ? RJ. Oh, iconic. He was like, yeah, it was the summer. I lived with his couple. I would service them when they need it. It was a lot of fun. I was like, yeah, it was a summer. I lived with this couple. Uh, I would service them when they need it. It was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I was like, cop off, kid. Like it was an old truck that needed an old chain. She's like, and I'd service them. Yeah. You call themself a playmate. Iconic behavior. Yeah. You could tell which secrets were written by the Goldens
Starting point is 00:33:21 and which ones weren't based on how it was written and the words that were used. Yeah. No Playmate, yeah, I guess it's more old school, I suppose. Tooting and blaming it on the guy next to you. Definitely not that. That actually was, that was not an oldie. That was not an oldie, that was Jess.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Keith was the one that was cheated on a test, but then we had Kathy who won, was slept with someone in their home while their partner was in another room. Now, that was written as if it could been like, I slept with someone, she was my best friend. Yeah. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:33:56 You know what I'm saying? I slept with someone, we were both really tired. Yeah. It was 2 p.m., we took a nap. Yeah. It was at my beach house in the Hamptons. We were in the sun all day. Yeah. You know, we were very, we was 2 p.m. we took a nap. It was at my beach house in the Hamptons. We were in the sun all day. You know, we were very, we had some wine.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Yeah, we had some wine. We had some red wine, got really sleepy. Like it played like she cheated on her husband, but I don't, she was kinda like, yeah, how do I get into this hot tub? She said you didn't ask extra questions. Isn't she a widow? You think so, Cathy?
Starting point is 00:34:23 Yeah, isn't Cathy a widow? Yeah. so. Kathy? Yeah, isn't Kathy a widow? Yeah. She's like, no, he's dead now. She's like, here's, might as well let it get it off my chest. I'm gonna VIP suite in the process. I think phone her in. I feel like get the scoop. Right?
Starting point is 00:34:39 Yeah, cause yeah, it could be, she did say you didn't ask other questions, right? We like, we needed her in an ITM in that moment. Yeah, like confessing what it really was. Like, you guys, I just wanted to go in the hot tub. Right. I knew no one could beat this. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:34:52 But it doesn't look like they were getting drunk in there. What about Les leaving? Like, let's play Two Truths and a Lie. And she's like, Usher put a lollipop in my mouth. Prince wrote a song about me. And what was the other one? And then she was like, actually, they're all song about me, and what was the other one? And then she was like, actually, they're all true.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Yeah, she was actually, they're all true. You just wanted to brag, ma'am. Kenny Rogers did something to her, wrote a song about her. I see you, see what you did there. Yeah. Is she a groupie? I chatted with her, and she's kind of iconic. I was gonna say, I sure couldn't have been that long ago.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Yeah, that's like a new thing, he does like the lollipop thing at the concert, right? Yeah, he does. Yeah, who knew where to put her to get on the big cam? No, literally. Who hooked that up? It's kind of giving Taylor Swift when she puts the hat on the little girl.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Little kid. Except for it's Usher in a lollipop. Usher in a lollipop. A little freaky leaky, you know what I mean? Definitely, Leslie is a freaky deen. Yeah. I love to hear it. And wasn't she the one kind of talking about
Starting point is 00:35:49 if there's a younger guy, That she's open. Like I'm open to it, I'm not against it or something? I love that. Yeah, if any of the golden ladies hook up with any younger man, I'm down. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:02 But I don't. They deserve it. The older men are just... No, absolutely not. Yeah, Nick was like, to see the older people making out in the pool, he was like, it's just, you know. It's not your vibe? It's... I thought it was so cute.
Starting point is 00:36:14 I'm not saying it's getting me going either, but... Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I am like, it's... I'm like, we all need it. Yes. You know, so it's like, kind of cute, but I'm happy they're doing it. I'm happy for them.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Yeah. We just don't want to see them doing it. But it's like, you know, sometimes in happy they're doing it. I'm happy for them. Yeah. We just don't wanna see they're doing it. But it's like, you know, sometimes in sex scenes, you're like, no, shh. You know, like you're really watching? Yeah. And this is like, oh, I'll vacuum. You know, like now's a good time to vacuum.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Is the stove on? I don't like. Yeah, I'll change the laundry now. Yeah. But with like Nicole Kidman, I'm locked in. Locked in. I'm saying, yeah, I'm locked in. Don't talk to me. I'm very busy.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I would watch April and Jonathan. I would watch that too. I hope we do. Why do you feel like Jonathan and Alex couldn't get there? I don't know. I knew they were friends before Paradise. So I don't know if it was like a friend zone situation. Because I feel like honestly, and I've said this on an episode prior, So I don't know if it was like a friend zone situation.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Cause I feel like honestly, and I've, I said this on an episode prior that obviously we've met Jonathan, we know Justin very well. They're both very funny. Very charismatic. I feel like they're, they've got great banter and watching them, I was like, oh my God. Oh really?
Starting point is 00:37:23 Like granted Justin was with Lexi, who kind of feels maybe like they wouldn't have a good. Well, I get why they sent Lexi home. She was like, if anyone has an ex boyfriend, I can't date you. I cannot be a second house. I do not want to be the other woman. They're like, it was 12 years ago.
Starting point is 00:37:41 She's like, I don't know, it feels too soon. Are you over it? But then like Jonathan, he also seems very funny and just felt like him and Alex, maybe Alex is just a quirky girl and she's got an interesting personality and makes things a little awkward. She's so funny, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I actually find her very entertaining to watch. Like I think it's almost so quirky that you're like, is it an act? But then it's like, it really keeps happening and you're like, oh my God, this is like real. And that to me makes it like endearing. I'm like, oh my God, she's so cute. And like, so, and I invited her to something recently
Starting point is 00:38:15 and like, just even like her arriving, like her arrival, it was like, just like chaotic. And I was like, obsessed. Like you are literally, this is like who you are. And I love it. And it's like, yeah. Like you are literally, this is like who you are. And I love it. And it's like, yeah, it's adorable to me. But I compared her to, I think she's like the Amaya Papaya of Bachelor.
Starting point is 00:38:31 She is like the Amaya Papaya. That's so true. Alex Wallex. Wallex. Alex Wallex. Is there a fruit around his ass? Maybe he has chat GBT, I don't know. I can't think of one.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Well, Suzy, thank you so much for coming. Of course. We gotta send you, but come back more often. You're fun. Thanks guys, I love being here. It'll be like six months later, we're like, hey Suzy, ready again? Put me in, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Where can people follow you, find you? You can just follow me on Instagram, Suzy C. Evans, TikTok, Suzy was like, you know. Well, before we let you go, where are you and Justin at right now? We're on really good terms. I have talked with Justin, I've talked with Lexi, adore them both.
Starting point is 00:39:16 I think they're both really great people and yeah, good vibes all around. And I feel like that's kind of my brand. Will you be watching, will you be watching Rachel and Clayton on Perfect Match? Oh, I'm like, absolutely yes. I am so ready. I'm locked in. You're locked in.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Yes. Oh, I've heard all the juicy tea. Oh my God. I'm rooting for Clayton. Yeah. Yeah. I think I- He deserves some love. I know. Yeah, he does. He's been, he has been through it. He has. He's a ringer.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Yeah. Well, thanks for joining. Thank you guys for having me. Up next, we have the queen of Love Island herself, Amaya Papai and Brian join us. And then following them, we have the star of the summer, I Turn Pretty, Christopher Briney.
Starting point is 00:40:03 And then we'll break down a little bit of OC Reunion, which we really enjoyed. That was a nice little kickoff to a season. We'll talk a little next gen, some Atlanta as well, and then send you on your way. But right now, it's time for Amaya and Brian. We all know I love a relaxation, right? I love for things to be Zen
Starting point is 00:40:25 I love to there's nothing better than like cleaning your house and then lighting a candle you know what I'm saying nothing better, and I'm so tired of how fast candles burn and They sometimes most of the time they like rarely even smell like anything you're like oh my god I spent $20 on this candle and I can't even smell it when I walk in the house. Well, listen, also if you've ever watched the show on YouTube or Seam Clips, you've probably seen some big ass candles in our studio and Big Ass Luxuries is the place that we get these amazing candles. Starting point is 00:41:01 candle. It's a great way of just like keeping place smelling all the time even when you're not home, because obviously you would want to leave it lit. But you don't have to leave it lit because you still smell it, it's so big. Some people might say that candles are bad for your air quality, but not big ass luxuries. Yes, thank you for having us here. I just want to start with Amaya.
Starting point is 00:43:34 I've never had someone make me feel so happy by watching someone else be so happy. Like the way, and I think that, I feel like I speak for America in that sense. It's just like, you had such an appreciation for each moment. I think we just live in a time where we're just all taking shit for granted and we're complaining about shit.
Starting point is 00:43:54 So it's just like when you were talking about your connection with Brian and everyone, like no joke, like you brought tears to my eyes and I just wanna thank you for that. And I just think sometimes we watch these shows and we're and we loved the drama and shit like that But you you brought a new level of drama in the best possible way and it was like happy drama And it was it was just great to see thank you so much Nick Like one of my passions is definitely to just be the light and someone's darkness and to turn that from upside down
Starting point is 00:44:22 just be the light in someone's darkness and to turn that from upside down. So I'm happy that my energy was able to be resonated and recognized by so many people. Do you know how many things that you have said throughout this show that just have taken this world and like flipped it upside down? Oh my God, I am now catching up to my phrases, my intrusive thoughts, sensitive gangster, what's up.
Starting point is 00:44:50 But I just really just be talking to myself and just, I be my own best friend. I just literally just say whatever comes to my mind. So man, I guess I found out today that those are metaphors. Of course I learned about metaphors before, but I totally forgot about it. I'm like, okay, you know what? That is my language.
Starting point is 00:45:09 I mean, just like the, I mean, my heart rate is being tachycardic right now. Like the way that you speak is just honestly so refreshing to see. It's so fun. It's like, do I ask like where that comes from? I guess it's just like, yeah, how, where have you always been this witty? Yeah. So to be honest with you, I'm a big
Starting point is 00:45:31 journalist. So I like, I write down my journals every single day about my deep doubts. And I also love poetry. So I think that's so that comes from it too. That's the origin. And if you ever meet my father, you'll understand where the wittiness comes from. Cause my dad be quick. Brian, I want to give you props, man. During the Stand Down Business Challenge, when the rest of the men decided to just unleash on Amaya, you quickly stood up and had Amaya's back.
Starting point is 00:46:02 And I've said this multiple times on this show, I just don't think people fully appreciate. And this is a credit to both of you, because Amaya, you did this throughout the show. You always wanna feel like you're part of the group in these atmospheres. Like it's so scary to be isolated and to stand out and not be part of the group.
Starting point is 00:46:21 But obviously in that moment, Brian, you stood up, and you guys weren't even a couple at this point, and had Amaya's back. So props to you, but also just like, what were you feeling in that moment, and why were you so compelled to speak up to Amaya, and have you always been someone who hasn't been a follower? Yeah, I appreciate that, Nick.
Starting point is 00:46:40 Honestly, yeah, I've never been a follower. I think my mom's always told me, like, speak up to what you believe in, and I have my own thoughts on my own opinion. So I'm gonna let it be known when it's time. And at the time it was three guys against Amaya and Amaya was standing on her ground and it just felt natural. I feel like it was something regarding our culture and everything. And I just felt like I really needed to speak up. That's just how we talk. And yeah. I really need to speak up. That's just how we talk. And yeah. Yeah, we love a man with his own voice, his own mind, and able to stand up for
Starting point is 00:47:14 something that he feels strongly about. I really think Amaya, you've given all of the women who have been told they're too much or their personality is too big, like such a voice, and you've made all of these women feel so seen. What does that feel like to you? It feels very empowering. I feel like I'm tired of the narrative, people's emotions being viewed as a weakness. I think it's time to completely change that narrative around and let it be known that us expressing ourselves and us showing our emotions and wearing a heart on your sleeves is powerful and strength. So to see that I'm able to show a lot of people that side is really amazing and I'm blessed.
Starting point is 00:47:59 You also didn't have anyone running your Instagram account. You were like one of the I mean, the only person which honestly America loved. We were like, she's really there for the right reasons. She's so true. I was like, fuck it. Like honestly, the last person, like people I called was my mom and my dad. I'm like, ma, I'm not gonna kidnap. I'm in Fiji. If you don't hear from me, just know I'm not being kidnapped. But I really, it did not cross my mind. I didn't even care about it, to be honest with you. So to come and get back my phone
Starting point is 00:48:32 and see the love and support that Brian and I have was, it took me away. I was gagged. God, I can't imagine what that would have been like. I mean, like to have one of the highest following count, like leaving the show and just so much support behind the two of you as a couple. I mean, y'all have to get married.
Starting point is 00:48:50 You have to get married. You have to have a million children. You have no choice. No pressure, no pressure. Oh, yeah, we will get there. Okay. At some point, at some point. Amaya, the moment I fell in love with you on the show,
Starting point is 00:49:04 obviously, of course, was... At some point, at some point. Amaya, the moment I fell in love with you on the show, obviously, of course, was. You can fall in love with her, please. And I just wanna say, I was on the Amaya train from the jump early on. Like from the ace argument on the dock. Oh, I was just like, no, she's so fucking real. Like I just, so obviously that ace moment,
Starting point is 00:49:29 one, just props to you because again, I just like already you're coming in as a bombshell, ace with such a strong personality. Like how did you read that situation? Cause I loved it how, and I thought you were incredibly poised but strong and you're like, I see what's going on. You know, like, did you feel like he was like
Starting point is 00:49:49 just maneuvering, that did you feel like you were being played in that moment? To be honest with you, like, yes, like Ace and I are, we're cool now. We already like caught it truth, but like looking back at that moment, I really did not care to speak up for myself and to speak on what I think was going on. And I didn't like the way I was feeling. And I'm the type of woman that if we're together and you're
Starting point is 00:50:11 making me feel a type of way, or making me feel like I need to change anything about myself, I definitely would advocate for myself, especially if I have nobody else advocating for me. And I didn't care about playing it safe. I knew I put myself in multiple vulnerable positions by even speaking up my mind and cutting off the connections that I knew that wasn't right for me. But I didn't care because I went there to find my right bond and find the man that's right for me. So if it was the case where me and Ace were not clicking, well, guess what? Turn off the TV, baby.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Like, switch the whole remote around. There was a moment where Huda had some feelings about you in the beginning when you came in. Did she end up telling you the things that she said about you? Yeah, now, like, that's one of my closest friends. So like the other day we started laughing about what was being said and what she said about me.
Starting point is 00:51:13 But you know, at the time, I guess her and Jeremiah just had a really strong connection and she was being protective with him, so. Brian, where are you from? Where do you live? I'm from Boston. Oh, shit, you guys are perfect. We love that, train right away.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Amaya, I ran in online, I ran into what I think was you, like talking about dating in New York. Again, loved the passion, but I'd love, you know, like New York, our biggest city, dating today is such a struggle for everyone out there. But I would just love to hear, now that you're in a relationship, what advice do you have for the people out there, specifically for the ladies,
Starting point is 00:51:55 of things to watch out for in dating. And just like, you are someone who clearly is good at knowing your worth, setting and communicating your boundaries. And that's just not easy for a lot of people to do. So what are some like, Amaya, you know, do's and don'ts of dating in New York or just anywhere abroad? So just always trust your intuition.
Starting point is 00:52:18 That's my biggest do. Like, and not even necessarily just for a woman, but for a man too. Like if you feel like something's off and something's not right, always trust and believe that our feelings are powerful and we feel them for a reason. One of my biggest don'ts is to never change yourself. Never feel like you have to settle for less. And if you're too much for somebody, guess what? Tell them to go find less. And to always, one of my other biggest news
Starting point is 00:52:47 is to just always have hope and faith. Like there's always somebody for somebody out there and just because you're not with your person currently doesn't mean you will never be with your person. But self-love is one of the biggest things too. And if you don't completely love yourself, you will never be able to properly love somebody else. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:07 That's amazing. That's really good. What was your biggest kind of like tragic New York dating story? Oh my God. I got drunk on a date before. This is when I was like freshly 21, too much margaritas in my system.
Starting point is 00:53:21 We were on our way back and I started to freestyle the whole car ride. But it was for one hour. So eventually it's like, yo, shut the fuck up. He ended up blocking me. Wait, how did you keep having rhymes? Yo, first of all, you know what? F him. He's not a fun guy to begin with. But my friend ended up finding his Twitter and he posted a whole tweet saying, what will you do if you're on a date with a girl and she just starts rapping the whole day? And it went viral. People were like actually mean. They're like, I would
Starting point is 00:53:54 jump out the car window, blah, blah, blah. But whatever. Like now I have somebody who loves my freestyle. I mean, you're like good at freestyling. We saw a clip of it while you were in the villa and you're very quick on it. You're very good. Can we drop a beat? Can we get like a Maya freestyle about Brian? Oh!
Starting point is 00:54:14 Oh! See the new art come out of it. Do you need a beat or do you just kind of do it off rip? Okay. All right. Let me see what I could come with. Okay. Maya and Brian sitting in a tree. You already know that we're going to be at NYC looking crispy and clean, fresh like Lesterine.
Starting point is 00:54:36 We are meant to be. This is me and this is him. Big family. Yeah, very good. Very good. Give her a record deal right now. I'm telling you. Like I just don't see I mean and I'm so sorry to all of your patients and your co-workers. I don't see how you can go back to nursing. You're just far too talented. I get so roused to my patients too like once
Starting point is 00:55:01 and I love just being the positive light in somebody's life. So I would go in the room and be like, hey, you want a quick little treat right now, but then they'll be like, yeah. What kind of nursing did you do? Like what space were you in the hospital? Were you in the doctor's office? What were you doing?
Starting point is 00:55:17 I was in the hospital, cardiac nurse, working 12 hour shifts. And I've been a nurse since I was 21. So it's about to be like four years now, and yeah, it's something I'm like passionate about. Well, when I met Natalie, she was a surgical tech, very passionate about what she did. And then I was like, oh, my wife's a star.
Starting point is 00:55:37 And I was like, oh, why don't you just kind of do this with me? But you know, all jokes aside, you know, you have this passion for nursing, but you really are like, you know, you've been discovered and I think you bring a lot of joy and excitement to people and this space isn't for everyone, but it really seems like it's for you. Do you think you are open to exploring what possibilities come your way, even though it might, might take you away from another passion like nursing?
Starting point is 00:56:04 Yeah, no, I'm definitely very much open. And I'm an always big believer that the way you treat people is how you define who you are. So as long as I keep on living with that mantra in my head and keep on reminding myself who Amaya is and where her roots come from,
Starting point is 00:56:23 then, yeah, 100% I will always be open. But I definitely do see myself going back to school some sometime in the future. What would you wanna go back for? PhD, so I could become a professor in a nursing university. Wow. That's amazing. I apologize, Brian, I didn't know,
Starting point is 00:56:42 what were you doing before the show? I was doing a couple of things. I was an investment accountant and I was a real estate investor. Okay, all right. So are you going back to those two? Probably not investment accounting, real estate investing, hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Okay, all right, yeah. I was an accounting major back in the day and then I sold software. Oh, were you? Oh, we got something in common. It's so fun, right? Yeah, I fucking hated it. And then I sold software for a while, and then here we are.
Starting point is 00:57:08 Amaya, you got a DM from Fenty Beauty, right? What was the DM? What did the DM say? Definitely about working together and being open to that opportunity. So I cannot wait to get us started. Anybody who knows me knows that Rihanna has been one of my biggest persons
Starting point is 00:57:30 or like woman that I look up to. So this is a really huge moment for me. I love my bad girl, Riri. Yes, I mean, so much was happening surrounding you while you were in the villa that I'm sure you had no idea about. I mean, there was Poppy who created a whole Amaya papaya drink related to you.
Starting point is 00:57:49 I mean, like, did you just come out being like, oh, what the fuck? I was like, whoa, like, Amaya papaya is a really, it's my name now, guys. I have, when I have our kids, papayitas are going, they're always coming out, but by you guys, it's always coming out. But the love is really amazing. And I cannot wait to try that Amaya, but buy a drink.
Starting point is 00:58:12 I am curious, cause like, obviously you guys don't know what's going on in the world and like, you know, America quickly started, you know, falling in love with you Amaya, but at first you, you had a lot of struggles, right? You had the whole ACE confrontation, then it was you and Austin, and then you had all these guys telling you
Starting point is 00:58:28 what you were doing wrong, and it really felt like you were struggling to settle in. You know, it's just like, you're always standing up for yourself, and that must obviously emotionally just be very draining. Like, I mean, obviously you're a very humble person, but truly, like, did you, like, what was that like in the moment when you realized
Starting point is 00:58:44 that America fucks with you, and like, you were just like, the fan favorite? Dude, first of all, I felt so misunderstood for weeks at a time. Like, it was back to back. And I'm like, damn, like, I'm just being myself and nobody in the Veto currently, you know, besides the girls was resonating with that.
Starting point is 00:59:02 And I'm like, what am I doing wrong? I came in with a strong cookie of confidence. And I was so scared of that cookie being crumbled. So during that challenge and seeing how much support I have, I really want to connect Kirk's. Yes. I want to be like, fuck you all. Fuck you all. This is just a true testimony to never, ever change and to never let doubt keep you in the cage. Brian, did you get a chance to talk to Amaya much in Casa that we didn't get to see? Or when did you finally feel like you got to invest
Starting point is 00:59:40 in this relationship with Amaya? Yeah, honestly, in Casa, it was kind of just a group thing. We never really chatted one on one. It was just friendship. And then once we got to the villa, and after a couple of days, we finally had a one on one chat. And it was like, oh, shit, there's something here. Like we had so much in common. And there was a spark there. We're like, let's see how far it takes us. And now you see how far it's taken us. I mean, how far is it taking y'all? What are y'all's plans? Obviously, I know you're so, so busy right now,
Starting point is 01:00:10 but have y'all made plans for what's next? Yeah, we definitely want to prioritize each other and take time to ourselves. And yeah, we got our phones back, we checked on family and we're catching up, but we definitely want to take time for ourselves as well. Yeah, the more I get to know Brian, the more I want to get to know him. So I'm really excited to keep on peeing in the layers back and just really, really seeing who he is for who he is.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Amaya, back to when you found out you were America's fan fave. Did anyone in the villa switch up a little bit and start treating you a little bit differently? I mean, listen, you know I'm always keep it real. Zach was definitely, Zach with the K was definitely the main one who just, oh, let's be friends. Let's like actually work this out. Let's talk like, you know,
Starting point is 01:00:59 I'm the only one that understands you. You kept on trying to provide me with that reassurance. And yeah, it was just like, clearly I seen through the bullshit. I don't have the best vision, but when it came down to that, my eyes were 20-20. So it was like, I clocked it and I'm gonna see things classy,
Starting point is 01:01:19 but definitely not fucking with you. It was crazy how he went from, you know, the two of you having the conversation of you being like, hey, checking in here, he's like, no, all good. Then stand on business. He has a bunch of issues. And then to find out your America's favorite and to say he understands you the best, like, clearly you didn't because you just had a bunch of fucking issues of me. Right. She was crying.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Why I intimidate so much people from just being honest with me. Because it's like, I like I don't I'm not as explosive as people may seem like we can have a conversation. I'm not scary. I don't bite. You said bite him baby. So bright you gotta throw the shades on. Listen, if I shine too bright, look the other way and buy some sunglasses. When you were in the hideaway, what did you mean when you said, bite him, baby? Oh, shit. I'm shaking my feet right now. They said, they said.
Starting point is 01:02:23 Bring them back to their memories. Brian, all they said. I'm bringing back the memories. Y'all bringing back the memories. Brian, all they showed was your foot. They said this man Brian's doing gang signs. My friends said they were throwing gang signs. I was like, it's like that. The vitamin baby. When you guys are in that moment, does it feel as surreal as most people imagine? How many conversations did you guys have?
Starting point is 01:02:51 Is this our lives right now? Is this really happening? What did it all feel like? I think we were so in tune with each other right away. We didn't really realize anything. Every time we got the chance to talk one-on-one, we made the most out of that shit. We were just so in tune until the finale, we were like, oh shit, we're in the finale. Us two.
Starting point is 01:03:10 Like, well, it's really when Ariana was like, and there's a grand prize, we all looked at each other and were like, oh shit, there's so much drama that goes on there that is just like, especially when you're being genuine and really focusing on prioritizing conversations and your connections, you'll be surprised how sometimes you forget you're being recorded. The cameras, like security cameras, so small. Right away, I was telling her like, be you and she was telling me, be me. I think we stuck with that the whole time and that's why people fucked with us so hard. We would forget that there's cameras like we're in a show and shit like
Starting point is 01:03:46 that. So it was like, oh, we won. And then it was like, we got the zoomies and stuff. And after it was like, hold on, there's money. We're like, oh shit, we forgot about that. Where did the zoomies come from? Have you always been a person who gets excited and starts running? So I like to run.
Starting point is 01:04:02 And I always like run Central Park or whatever and in the middle wasn't able to jog. So when I have this high burst of energy, the zoomies just come and take over. And now I got myself somebody who does marathon. So the zoomies is no issue for him. A lot of people don't know she'll be off like eight espresso shots to say I don't even know about that. That's crazy that you like you're already you and then to do eight espresso shots. Eight espresso shots. She already got the zoomies. You gotta get that energy out. Yeah. Release it baby, release it. Release it. Oh my gosh, y'all are such a trip.
Starting point is 01:04:49 What is Brian's nickname? I like to call him Bri-Bri. Bri-Bri. That's what his name is saved on my phone. It doesn't might have a pet name yet, Brian. A pet name, I call him Miamod. And keep it real cultural. There you go.
Starting point is 01:05:02 There you go. We love to see it. When, Maya, were you both Love Island fans going in? Did you watch? So to be honest, I never watched a full series or a full season, but I feel like once you spend enough time on TikTok and you put clips together, you get the gist of the show. Like what's going on, who has like drama with who, who's together. So I would watch a bunch of TikTok clips
Starting point is 01:05:25 and I was like, okay, like this show's very interesting. I like it. Yeah, I didn't have TikTok until like a couple days ago. So on Instagram I'd see like certain clips of it and I was like, oh shit, like this is a fire show. When did you find out that Justin Bieber was watching and loving Love Island? Literally on live with, when I was with Hala.
Starting point is 01:05:48 I think somebody commented and keep in mind, that was my first TikTok live I ever done like on my own. So I, we went on, it's me and Hala, she's sitting on my lap and somebody comments something about JB posting us or, and we're like, ain't no way. Like, what? This is crazy.
Starting point is 01:06:07 We were listening to JB all the time. It is crazy. I mean, he has his new album out. I'm sure you, there's so much that like, you have to catch up on being gone. What is like the first thing? Is it a show? Is it music?
Starting point is 01:06:20 Is it like going back to your favorite restaurants? Like, what is it that you want to do? Ooh, like I have to go back to my favorite restaurants. I have to. I mean, Fijian food is beautiful and amazing, but I miss my Dominican food. Like I'm going to Liberty Run to my favorite restaurant out there.
Starting point is 01:06:39 Yeah, Spanish food was definitely missed. We talk about like fennel, everything. they didn't have any good spices in the villa. No, they did. They brought us a double. I didn't see that. But I didn't even know that. Yes. I mean, Ryan, you weren't really cooking like that often. So. I'm gonna be honest, I ain't no cook. Like my job during breakfast time when we bring it up to girls was cut up fruit and plate everybody's plates. I wasn't really that cook.
Starting point is 01:07:15 You did a great job. What are your guys's love languages? Physical touch, affirmation. Yeah, physical touch and I would say probably quality time. Okay. Well, we have a fun little newlywed game if y'all want to play. You want to play? Let's do it.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Yeah, let's do it. I guess we'll just do, we'll ask you a question and then we'll have Brian answer first and then Amaya answer next, okay? What actor or actress dead or alive would play Amaya in a movie? Oh. Oh, that's tough. I would say probably J.Lo. live would play Amaya in a movie? Oh, Ooh. Ooh, that's tough. I would say, probably J-Lo.
Starting point is 01:07:49 Ooh, okay. Body is tea, body is tea. What? Okay, Jenny from the block. All right, Amaya, who's playing Brian? Orlando Bloom. Ooh. Okay.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Okay. He's hot, he's super hot. He's hot. Yeah. Who has the worst handwriting out of the two of you? I type, so my handwriting looks like a five year old. If your partner was a wild animal, what would they be? What's the wildest animal out there?
Starting point is 01:08:16 That's probably who I have. Honey badger, honey badger. Ever seen those honey badger videos where they just fuck shit up? For him, I would be a leopard. A leopard? Is he fast? Yeah, are you fast?
Starting point is 01:08:30 He does run marathons. Oh, well yeah, but like his eyes, like he has the eyebrows, the mystery. Oh, okay, okay. Who is most likely to steal food from each other's plate? I think, I don't know. I don't know. That's a good question. You think you?
Starting point is 01:08:49 I think I might. Like if you order something different, I definitely will like, buy it a bit. Yeah, it's probably her. What's your go-to karaoke song? Or can you guess if you don't know? Like guess hers? Yeah. You guess what would be her karaoke go-to song?
Starting point is 01:09:06 Oh, uh, that's just the way. Yeah, she was saying that non-stop for like a week. When y'all are filming that intro, I'm guessing you heard the music, right? Yeah. So you knew that song before going into the villa. Yeah, yeah. We definitely were aware about the song being the song, like the song. Right. So every single day I would wake up and even though if I had a bad day the night before, that was my aunt. I'm like, that's just the way you make me feel.
Starting point is 01:09:40 And then for him, it's definitely something from Bad Bunny. Yeah, for sure. Did you know I was in Bad Bunny's music video? Were you really? It was. Oh, he's so cute. Yeah. Period. She's a video vixen.
Starting point is 01:09:53 I like it. It's my girl. Who takes the longest showers? Me. What are you doing in there? I be chilling in there. No, everybody like says that he takes our showers. I'm like, babe, you know what?
Starting point is 01:10:08 You might need to give me your skincare routine. Because obviously there's something I'm not doing. Everybody would come at me for taking the longest shower and shit like that. Damn, can I be clean and chill for a little bit? What is your favorite emoji? My favorite emoji has to be the pink heart. And mine is probably like the demon with the smiling one. What would each other's DJ name be?
Starting point is 01:10:37 Yours will be DJ Bri Bri. DJ Papaya. Of course. Are you missing your twins at all? Well, we only have Elijah. Oh, course. Are you missing your twins at all? Well, we only have Elijah. Oh, sorry. Are you missing Elijah? Baby, justice for Elijah.
Starting point is 01:10:52 Sorry. Do you miss him? What is he doing? Elijah was crying. It was a twin, but no. It was just Elijah. Justice for Elijah for sure. I'm curious.
Starting point is 01:11:01 What is your, each other's dating, like, ick for, you know, in a relationship for the opposite sex? Mine is pretty, I hate, I don't like when people don't have manners. Like if you don't say thank you and stuff like that, it's an automatic ick for me. What about you, Amaya? Same with him and then also just being like-
Starting point is 01:11:21 What about like a silly ick? Like Naly doesn't like me looking light and feathery. Long toenails. Oh my God. And obviously your girl's traumatized which is why she's bringing that up. He doesn't have long toenails, okay. I'll make sure we go.
Starting point is 01:11:34 I think bad breath, I can't, hell no, I can't do that. And then we talking here and then we kissing and hell no. Okay. No one likes stinky people. Yeah, it can be so hot and if you stink., you don't have a favorite challenge throughout the show. I think yeah, this slime slime slime challenge. So I'm one for both of you. Like what TV are you big TV watchers?
Starting point is 01:11:58 Do you have like a like, what are you guys big fans of? For me personally, I love Gossip Girl. That is one show I could keep on rewatching. And especially since it's based in NYC, so watching it just kind of makes me feel like fellow New Yorkers, you know? Yeah, my favorite show is Entourage. I could rewatch that like a million times.
Starting point is 01:12:19 And then my favorite movie is Scarface. Oh, hell yeah. Oh yeah, you have a tattoo. Yeah, I have Scarface tattoos all over me too. Oh, that's awesome. What are your favorite passions? What do you love to do in your free time? Yeah, so I'm very passionate of journaling.
Starting point is 01:12:34 Like I mentioned before, I love to journal. I have a journal at bedside right now. I miss it so much. Just taking walks in a park like I understand why old people Just was said at a random part is stare That's like one of my favorite activities to do now. Yeah, mine is running and working out. Absolutely I feel like that changed my life in general. I got a marathon coming up in a couple months Oh, yeah, just self growth to be honest. I feel like there's always a place improvement
Starting point is 01:13:05 within yourself. What is something about each other that you feel like in your short period of time together helps you guys be better people? He definitely makes me feel safe and whenever I do have like an anxiety episode, he keeps me grounded and just, instead of becoming impatient with me,
Starting point is 01:13:24 he just lets me talk. And that just makes me very, very calm. Yeah. Personally, I love screaming and being loud and she matches my energy. If not, beats my energy sometimes. I'm known for yelling in the villa and she'll be screaming right next to me.
Starting point is 01:13:38 There you go. I don't know if you saw this. I don't know if this happened while y'all were away. But Kylie Jenner made all these headlines because someone made a TikTok being like, Kylie, please give us the details on your boobs. And she commented being like, this how many CCs under the muscle, this doctor.
Starting point is 01:13:54 She was like being very much girls girl being like, this is what I got. Amaya, I hope you take this as a compliment. You have the most perfect titties I've ever seen in my entire life. Are they manmade or are they genetics? Well, baby, these titties are expensive, okay? Karen!
Starting point is 01:14:11 What's your concoction? They're 350 CCs, left and right. It's so funny because I actually have my implant card in my wallet, I take it everywhere I go. But yeah, no, these were made in Miami, born and raised in Miami. 350ccs, did you go under muscle or over muscle? I believe I went under muscle.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Okay, are they high profile or mid profile? I did, I did mid profile, not too high. Here it is, here it is, I'm writing it down. Because I wanted to keep that natural look, just for my end. They look so good. Oh, my end. They look so good. Oh, thank you. They look so good.
Starting point is 01:14:47 I had a baby and I lost all of my boobs and so I'm in like the market and I was like, I need to know what Maya has done immediately. Girl, I got you. Thank you. God, I'm sending the note to the doctor right now. What's next for you guys? Like how are, I'm curious, like,
Starting point is 01:15:02 I mean, you guys seem so grounded. Like how are you guys planning on moving forward and protecting what you guys have in front of you and while at the same time enjoying, you know, just this newfound celebrity and fame? Like I'm worried for you, Amaya. Like I'm worried that you're not gonna be able to go people watching the park for a while because I feel like I've been to New York. They love their reality TV.
Starting point is 01:15:23 I don't know if you're gonna buy a drink for a while. But how are you guys planning on staying grounded, staying connected and really giving this relationship the shot we all wanted to get? Yeah, I think we're just gonna keep prioritizing each other. That's the biggest thing. And that's why I asked her to be exclusive in the show. And yeah, just spending time with each other.
Starting point is 01:15:45 And obviously we became something in the public eye, we'll keep showing, but there's also parts of us that we wanna keep to ourselves and really protect it. Yeah, for sure. Just prioritizing our quality time, doing things that we've both been dying to do together. And yeah. Brian, I love that you say that,
Starting point is 01:16:03 like protecting parts of your relationship to keep to yourself, obviously, it's very hard in the public eye. I know like fans wanna know everything and I think that part is so important to have a piece of you that you don't share with the public that they don't know that is just for the two of you.
Starting point is 01:16:19 I think that's really important. So I'm glad that you're doing that. I'm sorry. Yeah, I appreciate that. That last ending dance scene, what was that like? Were they playing music? Were they kind of like just dance with your person? It felt a little, we were all kind of like, oh, they're dancing. Okay.
Starting point is 01:16:34 Fiona? Yeah, I'm Fiona's. They had us doing a dance routine and I didn't get it at all. So I said, fuck all that. I picked her up and started kissing her and they got that part. I couldn't get the dance routine. You couldn't get the dance routine. No, but we definitely were dancing for sure. He was moving his hips. He was moving his hips. He was he was giving a little Shakira. A little bit. Who do you feel like you're closest with from the
Starting point is 01:17:00 cast? For me it would be Hala. Yeah and for, my brother Chris. Yeah, we got talked to Chris yesterday and he had nothing but great things to say about you. Yeah, that's my brother. Well, guys, we could talk for hours, but we're gonna let you go because you obviously have a busy day. We can't thank you enough for your time. I just wanna say to each of you, Brian,
Starting point is 01:17:19 it's been a pleasure just watching the way you move. I think you're a great role model for men out there. I think it takes real confidence to be with a woman who has such a bright light like Amaya does. I feel like my wife is the same in that. And like the fact that you let her be who she is, you know, says a lot about who you are. And you're a great example of positive masculinity.
Starting point is 01:17:40 And Amaya, obviously, like just, you're such an inspiration for people who like, are confident in who they are. I think it's a rare quality we don't see enough. So thank you for showing that and just like, it's just truly been a pleasure to watch both of you. I hope we have more people like you guys on future seasons of Love Island,
Starting point is 01:17:58 but thank you for your time. Thank you guys so much for having us. It was a pleasure meeting you all. Likewise, all right, take care guys. It was a pleasure meeting you all. Likewise. All right, take care guys. Bye. All right, bye bye. What sweethearts?
Starting point is 01:18:08 They really are gone. I mean, she's such a girls girl. She gave us a concoction. Like that was iconic. No, she really is. In the world of everyone claiming they're girls girls, Amaya's the real one. Yeah, she's like the epitome of being who you are.
Starting point is 01:18:23 Like there will be the people that find you, appreciate you, and like lift you up versus all of those people trying to tell her to like tone it down. And like at the last second she found like her real person and like they're so cute together. Yeah, they're incredible. Well, we are not done giving you a great show. Up next, Christopher Briney is with us.
Starting point is 01:18:43 He's from the hit show, The Summer I Turn Pretty, which is out now on Amazon Prime. He is with us up next. And then following Christopher, we get into some OC, a little Atlanta Housewives, and then we'll send you on your way. Some lead straight to the freezer section where True Fruit is waiting. True Fruit takes real fruit like strawberries, raspberries, and bananas, and wraps them in premium chocolate

How are you guys doing? I'm good, man. Good. Thanks for joining us.
Starting point is 01:19:47 No, thanks for having me. I appreciate it. You guys have such a lovely little, little setup. Thanks. Wish you were here. Are you, you in New York these days? Yeah. Yeah. I'm in Brooklyn right now. Oh, hell yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:57 We love Brooklyn. We met, we met in Brooklyn. We did. We did. That's where our love story started. Yeah. Yeah. Just like, I mean, you and your girlfriend met in New York as well, right?
Starting point is 01:20:06 Yeah, we met in Spidey. A little maybe less romantic. Okay. A little intellectual. Very busy. No, yeah, we met at school, yeah. Well, that's awesome. Well, congratulations.
Starting point is 01:20:20 Obviously, third season of the summer I Turned Pretty is out. How are you feeling? I feel good, I feel good. Nobody's told me they've seen it yet, so I'm not really sure if it's out, but I feel good, it's exciting. You're obviously an attractive man. Did you grow up knowing that you would be
Starting point is 01:20:38 a heartthrob on television, or have you just something you fell into accidentally? Oh, everything's an accident. I just really wanted to be able to pay rent as an actor. That was always sort of my goal. Like in college, I was like, if I can just pay rent, I'll be happy. I'm good. Yeah, yeah, and I can pay rent these days, which is-
Starting point is 01:20:58 Hell yeah, congratulations. I'm stoked on that, yeah. So you could probably like quit. I think I'm done, yeah. I'm gonna hire that. So you could probably like quit. I think I'm done. I would hire him in an announcement. No, don't say that. The Conrad fans are going to be... I am a Conrad fan for the record. Yes. Leia's a very big Conrad fan.
Starting point is 01:21:18 I mean, you know, with this type of fandom, obviously, so many fans intensely watch this show and really truly fall in love with your character. And with this type of fandom, obviously, so many fans intensely watch this show and really truly fall in love with your character. Does that ever get difficult with trying to play the role, like even online as Conrad or live up to the expectations? I think with reality TV stars,
Starting point is 01:21:41 which we cover a lot and talk to a lot, even then it's just like what they see on TV isn't exactly who they are in person. Do you feel like people see you as Conrad often in the wild or do you still feel like you can be Christopher yourself? There's definitely some of both of it. There's for sure like, some level of an expectation. I mean, I'm sure you guys understand, but like people see, they see a part of your life, you know, and obviously I'm playing a character. Yeah. But they do see a part of you. And I think the goal in some ways is to make that seem like that is part of your identity. Yeah. So I think there is, and I kind of understand it,
Starting point is 01:22:27 but there is a tendency that people can, yeah, like conflate you and your character and sort of expect you to be them or have really strong feelings about the world, even though I didn't write it. Yeah. Exactly. Has there been a unique fan interaction that surprised you or caught you off guard
Starting point is 01:22:48 ever? There's always some. I'm never really like prepared for one. Has there not been is the question. I'm really sorry I know you're eating, but can we talk? Conrad, why did you? Why did you? Why did you make this, but can we talk? But Conrad, why did you? Yeah. Why did you, yeah, why did you?
Starting point is 01:23:06 Why did you make this decision and not choose her? And you're like, I didn't have a choice. Can you tell Jenny to change this or to like not write it like this? And I can't, I could ask her, but she wouldn't listen to me. If you weren't playing Conrad, do you feel like you would still be team Conrad or do you think you might be team Jeremiah?
Starting point is 01:23:22 That is a good question. I don't know. I was like team Edward and I was team, what was the Hunger Games one? Not Peta but- Oh my God. Peta and- Peta and-
Starting point is 01:23:39 Josh? Yeah, I always wanted her to hook up with the Hemsworth. I was just like, you know what? Yeah. Some taller kids. I was kind of- Gail. Gail, Gail.
Starting point is 01:23:46 Yeah. Gail. Really? Oh wow. That would never have come. You were Team PETA? I was not Team PETA. He was Team Gail. But like there was something that happened at the end.
Starting point is 01:23:55 Honestly, maybe this speaks to it. There was something that happened at the end that sort of shifted. And I forget exactly what it was, but it wasn't like the third book. And he did something that was kinda fucked, and I was like, oh, well, I think that just speaks to you not being right for this character.
Starting point is 01:24:08 So I don't know, I mean, I think I would trust Jenny's storytelling, and I would probably go back and forth if I had no personal stake in it. That's a pretty good answer. How does your girlfriend handle you being such a heartthrob online? Is she pretty good with fan interactions, or does it ever wear on her?
Starting point is 01:24:25 She supports me a lot and I appreciate her every day. I mean, I think we've both had to deal with adapting to, you know, people having opinions and people feeling like they have a piece of you. That stuff's never easy to like be ready for because it's such a weird thing to have people you don't know have opinions on your life. But she's perfect and amazing and I'm grateful
Starting point is 01:24:58 for the way we've learned to sort of like discuss and deal with this. That's awesome. Obviously, The Summer I Turned Pretty is your breakout role. How did you get it? How has it changed your life? Getting it, it all still feels like a whirlwind. Like I really don't know how this happened.
Starting point is 01:25:14 I was working on the first movie I ever did was this indie movie that Mary Heron directed and I think it's great and I love it a lot. And I was there in, we were filming in Liverpool and I had like a chemistry read for The Summer I Turned Pretty and then we it a lot. And I was there in, we were filming in Liverpool and I had like a chemistry read for the summer, I turned pretty and then we had a table read and the same day I found out I booked the summer, I turned pretty.
Starting point is 01:25:31 And I, and obviously I had no idea like what I was signing up for. I mean, it was a straight to series to Amazon, which means they have faith in it, but I didn't know the books and I didn't know the fan base. So that was all, I don't know, sort of to what I was saying earlier, like I really just was stoked to be able to pay rent for the foreseeable future. And then along with it have come a lot of opportunities that I'm super grateful
Starting point is 01:26:02 to be, you know, sitting here talking about it. That's incredible. You must have been a fan of various actors. Are there any like role models or people that you kind of studied or you kind of emulate your work to? I'm inspired by so many actors. When I was a kid, before I even thought about wanting to act, like I fell in love with like Ferris Bueller's day off.
Starting point is 01:26:25 So Matthew Broderick, I thought he was just like, he had it all, you know, he was charming. He was funny. He was, it was sort of like this comedy with a little bit of action in it. And I just really loved that sort of world. I loved back to the future. I mean, so obviously, yeah, I just wanted to be, to be there. I mean, if I could take someone's career, like out of their hands, So obviously, I just wanted to be there.
Starting point is 01:26:46 I mean, if I could take someone's career like out of their hands, Robert Pattinson's, I think he's taken such a cool direction in the past. I mean, his whole career is just really like admirable. And I think he does what he wants to do these days. I mean, that's a great choice. Obviously he got his start in the Twilight Saga, you know, very kind of younger audience,
Starting point is 01:27:09 a book following before, very similar to exactly what you're doing. And so like, yeah, that's a very interesting, you know, very smart. He just works with such cool directors and such cool writers and it's a cool life, man. Obviously without giving any spoilers, are there any episodes that you're particularly excited
Starting point is 01:27:30 about airing, any like things that you can tease throughout the season? If I'm being honest, I can't remember what numbers correspond with what we did. Perfect. But I mean, there's some work that I walked away feeling proud of. And I think I don't always feel immediately proud of my work.
Starting point is 01:27:51 I get in my head about it a lot and I don't like to really watch myself. And so to walk away feeling like I had done my job well was a good feeling. And I think I can't watch them now because I'll probably just talk myself into thinking I was wrong about it but For the fans out there. Do you think after this season wraps? Do you think the Conrad fans will be stronger or do you or in and very Invested in you or do you feel like some of the Conrad fans might be a little frustrated with Conrad? That's a good question I'd like to hope that there's some of the Conrad fans might be a little frustrated with Conrad. That's a good question. I'd like to hope that there's some of both. Okay.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Cause I think everybody ends up feeling the exact same way or pushing the exact same direction, then, you know, what are we, what are we making it for? Like, where's the discourse? Where's the dialogue? That's true. So I hope that, you know, these are characters doing human things and some things are positive and some are negative and people will either love or hate it.
Starting point is 01:28:51 If there's an opportunity for you to do a biopic, is there any certain person that you would feel drawn to do? I think about this all the time. You know what? River Phoenix. Oh, that would be sick. I've thought about that one before. Can you see it? I can kind of see a little River Phoenix. Oh my god, there you are. I didn't realize I don't clean my things very frequently. What's on there, like peanut butter? I would, yeah, yeah, my screen covered in peanut butter.
Starting point is 01:29:26 It's tough, because I'm not really, I don't consider myself super musical, but whenever I think of a biopic, I'm like, I wanna do like Kurt Cobain. Oh, wow, that's a good one. Like I think Liam Gallagher is one of the most interesting characters in the world. That feels so good.
Starting point is 01:29:41 Wow. You just have to kind of scream. Yeah, I could scream, you know? Perfect your scream. I don't think they should hire an American to do that if they do, but. Fun fact, my uncle was in a band with the guy who produced Nirvana, Nevermind. No fucking way.
Starting point is 01:29:57 That's so cool. Butch Davis. What was the band? It was called Firestone, I think. And then Butch Davis created the garbage, and then he also produced Nirvana, nevermind. That is so cool. Firetown, Firetown.
Starting point is 01:30:13 He's like, oh, I love Firetown. Yeah, I mean, they did have a video on MTV, like they, you know, and then they, my uncle started a family. Real stuff. Yeah. Are you able to do any accents? I mean, it depends on who you ask.
Starting point is 01:30:27 I think I can do it. But if so, if you ask someone- You guys go British, toe to toe? Yeah, what's your go-to? Yeah, they can go British. Can you do British? I mean, what kind of British are we talking? That's so true.
Starting point is 01:30:36 There's so many different dialects. Give us your best. Oh my God. The way I do it is like, I have to have an in phrase like I have a phrase that I can say to get into it. What would it be for like British? No, I'm just going to embarrass the fuck out of myself. Irish is really fun to try and do.
Starting point is 01:30:55 I feel like Irish is so hard. All right. It's so hard. It's hard. My roommate did a play and he has a really good Northern Irish accent. Yeah. Like it's very like right and technical. But I also think if I did
Starting point is 01:31:05 that, if I even tried to do that now, I would offend the Irish. Right. Right, right, right. Yeah. We can say tomorrow night on Love Island. Can you say tomorrow night another bombshell enters the villa? Oh, it's so I can hear it. I can hear it. My girlfriend's watch. She watches. I can hear it. I've heard it every night for the last three months. I love the, it's like Pavlov's dogs, like the fucking, the like, scratch before they come back into the episode. Tomorrow night. I feel like it's literally training everybody to like, look back at the TV. Are you one of those boyfriends who like is girlfriends watching it
Starting point is 01:31:45 and you're kind of in the background and like being like, what are you watching? But also like giving your takes when you see stuff. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I'll tune in and tune out and I'll be like, oh, I hate this guy, fucking hate this guy. Is there anyone you were a fan of or can you say who you weren't?
Starting point is 01:32:00 I don't know names like that. This season finished? It just wrapped, yeah. It just wrapped. I didn't watch the finale, but. Well, we do have a little fun game we thought would be fun to play with you. It's real easy. Since the summer I turned pretty and Love Island,
Starting point is 01:32:13 you know, it's called The Summer You Learned How To Be A Reality TV Star. Okay. So we're going to put you in some situations. Some of our reality TV stars have been in recently and you tell us how you would handle the situation Okay, cool fun easy. So your girlfriend won't cuddle with you in bed because she's tired and wants to sleep Do you let her sleep or do you start a fight?
Starting point is 01:32:38 When didn't she know it people on TV have chosen to do different things You are about to propose to your girlfriend, but they haven't showered in a while. How would you convince them to take a shower? Ooh. Just start being like, something smells. You're like. As subtle as I can.
Starting point is 01:32:56 No, I mean, she's so hygienic. Also, I feel like, posing, she would know so far in advance. I think it would be planned enough to where that would never happen. She would have. I don't know. Come on, let's go take a shower. It's going to be fun. Together.
Starting point is 01:33:12 Might be fun to take a shower together today. For the first time ever. What would you make your girlfriend for breakfast to win her heart using only Trader Joe's products since you were a previous Trader Joe's employee. What a good question. I mean, I want to make it Trader Joe's specific. I mean, I would make her like a avocado toast. You know, you know, maybe we would do like some breakfast tacos, right?
Starting point is 01:33:42 And some like flour tortillas and heat them up on the stove and sprinkle on some like, what is it? Chili lime seasoning and put some of that on. Are you having a side of hash brown? Yeah, there it is. There's the Trader Joe's. Yeah, one of their frozen hash browns were thrown in there.
Starting point is 01:33:59 Did you ever have to, did you get good at flirting with the customers? Cause I've heard that's their thing. I was always taught to be nice to the customers. I never really, really thought of it as flirting, but I did, I had, I did meet some like cool people, like the dude who did my headshots for college, I just met him because he was checking out and we were like chatting and the person behind you is like, Hey, so actually I have to go. I think it's so cool that you worked at Trader Joe's.
Starting point is 01:34:29 One of my employees, I hired him specifically because he told me he was working at Trader Joe's. I didn't even know where he went to college. Turned out it was UCLA. They already vet people so well. So many people that were like, I couldn't even get a second interview. I don't know what I did.
Starting point is 01:34:43 They just look for like genuine people, I don't know. You're like, it's telling why you didn't get that interview. Right, I didn't wanna say that. Right, okay, okay. How would you do in a twerk off judged by Megan Thee Stallion? I'd be first eliminated. I wouldn't even qualify, I don't think. Oh no.
Starting point is 01:35:02 Chris doesn't have any back, you know. I have no eyes. Your best friend went on a date with your little sister and texted you that he wanted to have sex with her. How do you feel? What would you do? This is a real thing that happened? Yep, next gen NYC.
Starting point is 01:35:21 They live in New York. Yeah. We're throwing hands. I don't know. York. Yeah. I've worked there on hands. I don't know. Okay. I'm getting a ring. I don't know. You go to the bathroom with someone you just met that night
Starting point is 01:35:32 and find out they don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom. Do you shake their hands at the end of the night? I would probably suck it up and shake their hand. You're such a nice guy. Wow. Yeah. You just, would you just immediately go wash your hands?
Starting point is 01:35:48 I would be thinking about it until I could, my hands. But I don't think I would. I don't know. I put my hand on the escalator rail at an airport. Yeah. Honestly, like. Is the subway pull better? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:01 Yeah. You know, I'm not gonna start getting all like germaphobe, you know, just because someone didn't wash their hands. It's gotta be all or nothing. Right. Yes, that's so true. Your new girlfriend asked you to go on a private jet from Miami to Orlando so she can pick up her dogs.
Starting point is 01:36:18 Do you go? How long is that flight? Probably 15 minutes. An hour? Honestly, like, isn't it a whole hour? I just hate flying so much. Do you prefer a road trip over flying? Yeah, I think I would try to talk them out of like, using a private jet for that short of a flight that feels a little jet fuel wasteful, you know? All right, you are forced to share a secret.
Starting point is 01:36:44 All right, you are forced to share a secret. What secret do you share? Uh. He's like, it's a secret. I'm like looking around for like something that's secretive. I honestly hate that question. I'm like, I'm not going to tell you. Like, it's a fucking secret. It's a secret for a reason. I'd be like, I'm not gonna tell you. Like, it's a fucking secret. It's a secret for a reason.
Starting point is 01:37:06 I'd be like, not a big one? Quick, your deepest, darkest secret. Does Belly end up with Conrad or Jeremiah? All of my air tags are dead, so if I lose anything, it's lost. Oh, okay. Do you have air tags in, like, all of your shit? No, just my keys and my wallet.
Starting point is 01:37:24 Okay, perfect. Just like, to put it important all of your shit? No, just my keys, my wallet. Okay, perfect. Just like, that's why you can't find anything right now. He's like looking around, actually where are my keys? Chris, this has been so much fun. A final question before you go, are you really excited about the Red Sox win streak? Do we feel like it's legit?
Starting point is 01:37:41 Is it real? Are they gonna make the playoffs? Tell me about it. Look, all I'm saying is that- Oh my God. Are those coupons? No, they're like, it's like a calendar. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:51 It was just sort of emphasis that I had. Oh, that's my secret. Oh, you really? This is a calendar I had two months ago. What's the fact? Thank God you're up to date. We're still in April. On this date, in 1946, Ted Williams homered in his first game back after missing the 43 to 45 season because he served in World War II.
Starting point is 01:38:10 That's where real men were made. They like professional baseball players, you know, served for our country. What about today's actual date? Oh, today's actual date. That's a good question, too. And then I'll answer the Red Sox question because I think it could be real. I think this could be the real thing, man. While you're doing that, did you watch that, the documentary about the 2004 Red Sox on Netflix? Yeah, yeah. It was good. My girlfriend and I watched it.
Starting point is 01:38:32 I mean, I've seen so many iterations of that documentary, but oh, it feels good. It was good, it was good. Oh, it feels good. I also liked the, they did like a documentary on the Red Sox last season, which was pretty good. No, I didn't see that one. It's good, it's good. I mean, I didn't see that one. It's good.
Starting point is 01:38:45 It's good. I mean, they didn't even make the playoffs. So it's just sort of interesting to see a team in that like position. Now. Okay, this one's cool. In July of 2023, Nick Pavetta had 43 strikeouts for the month and most by a pitcher who made one or fewer starts in a single calendar month since Dick Raditz of Boston had a 45 and 19 six, Jesus fucking Christ. These are the 40s.
Starting point is 01:39:07 All right, and that does it for our show. Nick Pivetta struck out 43 guys. You like Nick? Shout out Nick. Christopher, this has been a ton of fun, man. Congratulations on all your success. Excited to see you keep on crushing life and acting and what I'm sure will be many more roles to come.
Starting point is 01:39:29 We're excited to see you on season three of The Summer I Turn Pretty Man. Where can people follow you and just enjoy everything that you're doing? On TV, they can follow, I don't really use Instagram like that much, but I have one. Okay.
Starting point is 01:39:42 Do you know like your username or? It's my name, it's Chris. Okay, but I have one. Okay. Do you know like your username or it's my name? Okay? cool Easy enough Yeah, I appreciate you guys taking the time. Thank you so much Chris My sister a big fan. So thank you for doing this. Tell them we said hi. Yeah, tell them we said hi I appreciate you buddy. Yeah. All right guys. Bye. Bye. Bye. Thank you Yeah. All right. Bye bye.
Starting point is 01:40:03 Thank you. I'm a charming guy. Such a charming guy. I know what I'm watching. Guys, I'm telling you, it's my it's my sucker for a beautiful head of hair. He kind of has that kind of very unique kind of like Matthew Perry. Oh, yeah, he's giving Matthew Perry chill personality. I've been team Conrad since the start, I will say. Calm down.
Starting point is 01:40:28 All right, well, let's get into some OC. We had the premiere of Rojasso's Orange County Thursday night, and if you don't remember what happened last season, here is a rapid recap. Shannon Madore was the DUI baddie. Everyone was ruthless to her, especially Tamara. And if that wasn't bad enough, Alexis Bellino bombshelled her way into Orange County
Starting point is 01:40:46 with Shannon's ex, Johnny J on her arm. This led to a season of Diva on Diva crime, but only one could come out victorious, and it was in fact, Shannon Bedore. Tamra was really mean to everyone, so much so she had to go to therapy. Emily did a boudoir shoot, it was hot. She also had drama with newcomer Katie.
Starting point is 01:41:01 Started off in a rough spot with a feud with Heather, who maybe had issues with her husband, Terry. Oh, and then there was Jen who got bullied for being poor, but still getting glam. And then her boyfriend got involved with that whole Dodgers interpreter scandal. Remember that? Anyway, they got engaged.
Starting point is 01:41:13 Gina was also there. She's always a vibe, but had some issues with her boyfriend. They stopped living together because the house was small, but still are making it work. Alexis sadly didn't survive, but hopefully the return of icon legend girl boss Gretchen Rossi will help stir up chaos. Alexis didn't survive, but hopefully the return of icon legend girl boss Gretchen Rossi will help stir up chaos.
Starting point is 01:41:27 Alexis didn't survive the season. The next season she's currently still breathing. She is breathing, but she is not, she did not get brought back for another season of Real House Size Orange County, but hopefully the return of icon legend girl boss Gretchen Rossi will stir up chaos, only a girl can dream. And that's what you missed on Real House Size of
Starting point is 01:41:42 OC last season. You're a good reader. Period. This was a great, a great opening to a season. Everyone, every new Bravo show, first gen, like everyone needs to take fucking notes. This is how you open a season. We had the right amount of drama. We had a little bit of like pulling on the heartstrings with Emily's family and what she's going through
Starting point is 01:42:06 with her children. We had like, you know, the Jen and Ryan still, being Jen and Ryan. Yeah. Cotty creeps me out. You guys don't tell each other on a regular how hot you think each other are? I was literally just about to say that.
Starting point is 01:42:19 The amount of times they're like, God, baby, you were just so sexy. You're so hot. You're just so hot. You're just like, fuck God. You're just, wow. You're just like, fuck, God, you're just, wow. It's like, okay, do you? Are they actually gonna get married in bathing suits? It would appear.
Starting point is 01:42:32 I wouldn't put it past them. It would appear. I would not put it past them. Going to Beach Bunny for your bridal try on is something else. When we had Bravo therapy, I just can't with Bravo therapy. Yeah. It seems so, I just want someone to talk to me about Bravo therapy. I'm I just, it seems so,
Starting point is 01:42:45 I just want someone to talk to me about Bravo therapy. I'm also confused because it sounds like this is the therapist that said the advice or diagnosis that got her in trouble directly after. So I'm just like, That's the same therapist? She said, you told me and then I misspoke. And it's almost like she was brought on to confirm
Starting point is 01:43:03 that she misdiagnosed her, came on too soon. And I'm just like, isn't this not a good look for your business? Yeah, I don't know if- Any new clients, we're going? I don't think biotherapy is ever a good look. It's just like, this is not what therapy is. It just, it's-
Starting point is 01:43:17 To further a storyline. Yes. Yeah, I'm not narrating my life in that way. It's more, fuck man, it's just like. Today, I'm in yesterday and this is why I feel this way. And she's like, so remember that time that you told me? And he still hasn't texted me back. The Katie stuff is jarring.
Starting point is 01:43:35 The Katie stuff is hard, but then I also remember what these women did to her at the reunion and I have empathy for her. Like them pulling out all of the, like making her relive the trauma of having her kids taken away, I mean not her giving her kids to her ex-husband and being like, I'm not in a place right now,
Starting point is 01:43:54 like I need a fit living space. Like she, the fact that they brought all of that up at reunion without even knowing if she was coming back to, for another season either, like that's just humiliation. Just being her first reunion, it just felt so fucked. Totally get it. It is fascinating, this world. We talk a lot about, now that Bravo's been around so long,
Starting point is 01:44:14 the genre of it all, casting fans. And the reality TV world is so fascinating in the sense that how reality TV stars, especially ones that live in LA, how they make friends and their circle of people and people who kind of attach themselves to them. And then there's so much like discourse about like the blogger community and then how they insert themselves, you know, in these spaces. And like the blogger community, it's like I think there's a lot of
Starting point is 01:44:44 reality TV stars who won't fuck with them because Like they're kind of insidious. They're spreading gossip and rumors and half truths and Speculations, you know again most of it is just like 80 You know there's some truth to it for sure and then they and then they have all these fan theories and they just they Operate as if the people on TV aren't aren't human yeah so for Katie to be friends with these people and engage with them and share rumors and tea is this such a violation of trust I mean it's back to the Monica Garcia of it all where it wouldn't happened you know it's just
Starting point is 01:45:17 like we've got to know Monica we love her but like that whole I completely empathize with why those women found it so jarring, just because it is such a violation of just feeling safe in your world, because the bloggers, they're fans. They're super fans. They're people who invested so much of their lives and obsessively following the lives of people on TV. I do feel like bloggers are getting more and more
Starting point is 01:45:44 becoming part of the drama on a lot of these shows. Sure, sure. You know, it's like, I mean, it's brought up in Atlanta. Obviously it was the main storyline in Salt Lake City. It's now in Orange County. They've always been a part of Housewives' storylines though. Do you feel like it's getting like... Out of control.
Starting point is 01:45:59 Yeah. No, you have Housewives that have became bloggers. There's always reality blur being screenshotted in every single reunion, every single show. It's just now you have Monica that was majorly involved in it. Right. Or Katie that knows the people.
Starting point is 01:46:12 Like it just, it's not. Her being like, they're inviting me to their weddings. It's like. I bet. Yeah. You're clearly in constant correspondence with them. Y'all are besties. But like, there's no no like, there's no,
Starting point is 01:46:26 they treat rumors as if this, it's this, like it's okay to just make up shit or just like play the telephone game. I feel like you're, the way you thought of it is podcasts are becoming more involved in Bravo. Maybe. Like podcasts or blogs have always been a part of it, but podcasts have never really been acknowledged.
Starting point is 01:46:44 Well, like the housewives used to have their own blogs, and that's how they would get themselves in trouble because they would write about their castmates or like what happened in an episode. And then it would be like, you wrote about me, da da da. And then all of a sudden it kind of like opened up to like all of us in general public where it's just like, I will say, I think it's a little strange that and I get Katie's Katie's daughter, Katie's daughter, Kaylee, I don't know how old she is, she's over 18? Over 18. Over 18. So she's definitely adult, she can do what she wants.
Starting point is 01:47:13 But I think the fact that Katie is just like allowing her to insert herself in this, you know, I feel like she's like setting her up for failure of just like, you know, like her going on a podcast and yeah, she's talking, she's spreading her truth, failure of just her going on a podcast. And yeah, she's spreading her truth, which for sure you can do. But it's like you're in a game with a bunch of older women.
Starting point is 01:47:33 It's like, why let her get so involved? It's just weird. I agree. It's weird. Like for what, like if I was Katie's daughter, I mean, say what you want to say, but I'm also like, I don't know what it would serve. Well, I'm like, we did the TikToks, which like fine, funny, it's your social media, say what you want to say, but I'm also like, I don't know what it would serve. Well, I'm like, we did the TikToks, which like,
Starting point is 01:47:45 fine, funny, it's your social media, say what you need to say, but I'm just like the going on a podcast and talking about somebody's parenting or nannies or who likes who's kids. Like, I'm just like, I feel like that's where I'm like, that's the step too far where it's like, you can say what you need to say
Starting point is 01:47:59 because you feel like things were spoken out against you that are calling you a liar, but I'm like, I feel like to go and try and make headlines with it. It's like you're openly putting a target on your daughter's back. Yeah, I mean, granted, she didn't tell her to do the podcast, but she definitely didn't stop her
Starting point is 01:48:12 from doing the podcast. I just always feel like, you know, people talk so much about, again, you know what you signed up for type of thing. And like, you know, on some ways we operate it, it's like, yeah, there is a privilege and a gift of being on TV and being a star and having a platform. I just think there's a big difference between like fans and the stars themselves having
Starting point is 01:48:30 their podcast or going on shows and breaking down and talking and analyzing what we see on TV or what we analyze what they put out on their social. I think it's this night and day difference between that and what is so, what seems to be such a big part of, specifically Bravo, is the rumor mill and the fan speculation and the fan theories, and some of which are dangerous and toxic. Yeah, it's just very damaging for some of these cast members
Starting point is 01:48:56 and it does affect their lives. And I just think for Katie to be so integrated with them gives that community a level of credibility I just don't think they deserve. The thing is she's so real because that's why Lisa Vanderpump left the show is because she wouldn't admit she has connections at Radar Online.
Starting point is 01:49:12 So it's like they all have connections. Katie's just like, yeah, don't we all? She's like, what do you mean? Yeah, I've been texting and calling. Like she's just real about it. So that's where it's interesting with Katie where it's like she's not wrong, but also it's a little weird
Starting point is 01:49:23 that she's like, they're my friends. And I agree with that because I was like the it's a little weird that she's like they're my friends. And I agree with that because I was like the contradictions a little bit of like an OG cast versus like them. What do you call hazing the new person where it's just like Emily's screaming at her being like, you don't bring up kids, you don't bring up this. And like, well, you outed a whole situation that was never a part of a season because you went and did research after you got mad about people doing research. Literally. And then you expose it and then try to be like, oh, no, now it's boundaries.
Starting point is 01:49:47 Now you can no longer cross this line. And it's like. That's where Katie was right, where it's like, my daughter going on a podcast is not like a touche. It's not the same as what you did to me at Reunion. So it's a balance of it's weird, but it's also like you're kind of valid. When I do it, it's OK.
Starting point is 01:49:59 When you do it, you should get kicked off the show. Exactly. And that's what I don't like about the contradiction of it all. I do love how Heather the contradiction of it all. I do love how Heather and Terry are so rich. She's like, let's just finish the floors. It's nothing.
Starting point is 01:50:10 He's like 45,000. She's like, yeah. He's like, what? That's what you spend a night at Nobu. She's like, yeah. I'm like, Heather, can I be on your list? What is getting a $45,000 tab at Nobu feel like? Being like, nah.
Starting point is 01:50:21 Literally. Nah. Hope you all ate. Well, remember when she had that party, like, is it last season or two seasons ago? And everyone started fighting and she had ordered all of this, like, Nobu take out. And because the fight started at her house, she was like, all right, dinner's over. Was that was not the one where they said that Alexis was a giraffe? Yeah, no, it was Gina.
Starting point is 01:50:39 It was between Gina and Heather that got into a fight. But it was like all of this catered Nobu. And she kicked everyone out before they could even have a bite. And I was like, that's a new level of rich I've never seen before and petty. What did y'all think of the ending fight of like the get up? I would climb up on that sail tower and get service to prove that I didn't DM or she DM me first. I'm with Gina. Katie. Sorry. I love you. She's definitely not telling the truth. Huh?
Starting point is 01:51:07 She's definitely not telling the truth. That's why I said that. So I'm like, if I, I'm with Gina that I'm like, if you're accusing me of doing some shady ass shit, I'm walking my ass to the street and pulling up the screenshot. Because also how do you, how do you prove that you didn't send something?
Starting point is 01:51:18 First of all, you can just unsend something. Well, doesn't it say that you unsent it though? It does. I think it still says that you unsent it. I think it does say like, So you would still have, on your own. Unless you deleted it. Well, if you deleted it, it doesn't, but if you unsent it though? It does. I think it still says that you unsent it. I think it does say like I... So you would still have... On your own. Unless you delete it.
Starting point is 01:51:27 Well, if you deleted it, it doesn't, but if you unsent it, it would. Oh, so you just delete it. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Unless you get this deleted and be like, look, there's nothing there. Yeah. That is true. Somebody has to walk with her.
Starting point is 01:51:37 Cathy Hilton did that at a reunion where she's like, it's not on my phone. And Lisa was like, but you can delete the text. But did all the other women also not have service, or was it only Katie who didn't have service? Some of them did. They were like, I have... Shannon was like, no, you're right, I had to use the landline. But Gina was like, I have service. I'd be like, let me log into my Instagram on your phone.
Starting point is 01:51:57 Katie's like, I don't know my password. Katie's like, I'm on autosave for everything. Two-step verification. I don't know. In Katie's defense, she had to have been played by the edit. There's no way that she was like, I don't have it. I don't know. They probably edited it in a way that she was being more... I have no service.
Starting point is 01:52:13 I don't know what to tell you guys. And I'm like, if I'm getting screamed at by seven women, I'm figuring it out. I'd be like, let me try. She probably tried and was like, no service. But then they cut out the first part and she's like, no service. Nice. Yeah, that's so true. She sat there for an hour being like, guys, I'm refreshing, I'm refreshing, I'm at. What's the Wi-Fi password? The Wi-Fi is not working. It's not working.
Starting point is 01:52:31 And then she was like, I have no service. And the editor's like, let's put that in twice. Messy. Well, it's nice to have OC back, I will say. It's nice to see the women again. We also had Reunion part one of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Here's your rapid recap. So far, this is what we've learned from Reunion. Britt is the Carmen Sandiego of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion because where is she? However, this is OK because that means our best friend
Starting point is 01:52:57 of show, Cynthia Bailey, can hang for the whole time. Getting to the drama, the main takeaways are this. Drew says Portia's return was a flop, while Portia says Drew should be worried, who is flipping and flopping in the basement with Ralph. Portia admits she was petty to Drew and they all hug. There was an alleged alliance between Brit Kelly Shemia with Portia.
Starting point is 01:53:14 Portia did not know about this, and like, have we not learned from Tulls versus Smalls? Angela came with a file and claims that the blogger diva Marcus's aunt is friends with Fage's brother from back home, and therefore it must have been Fajr who leaked the Charles ugly cheating allegations. However, it must be known the high school friend
Starting point is 01:53:28 from your brother may not in fact be your friend. But who's to say Fajr has spread rumors before. The question still remains, was it Fajr and if not, who? Hopefully we will find out soon in part two. I love Atlanta. And that's what you missed on Rejasos of Atlanta. What's your favorite part? All of it.
Starting point is 01:53:43 I think we keep this cast for the second season. For another season. People hate Drew, but I'm like, Drew eats for me, I'm sorry. Like her one-liners. Go sit on Portia's lap. Yeah, I agree. I like this cast.
Starting point is 01:53:53 And the fact that Angela was left out of this newbie alliance and Angela's like, what about me? Angela's not in the group chat. Angela gets no notifications. Angela's my favorite. Yeah. Yeah, but they're like, they're so mean to her.
Starting point is 01:54:04 They're so mean to her. And then Angela being like, Phaedra, you needed a contract. And Phaedra's like, I had it. Like, what do you mean? Well, that's what I was like, Angela, like, bless her, I love her. But I'm just like, the idea that you think
Starting point is 01:54:13 Miss Queen Phaedra needs to come after you for a storyline, honey. They brought her in for a reason, she's staying. Go back to the library, study, come back. I don't know, she's definitely my favorite, Angela. You love an underdog. You're gonna love, I think it's part two when Charles Oakley sits down and he goes,
Starting point is 01:54:31 everybody's worried about my business, but I'm the only husband sitting here. Where's your husband? So true. Maybe it's probably that I love Angela so much. I just like their dynamic. I do feel like she's a rookie. Rookies always have a tough first season.
Starting point is 01:54:46 I think she's handled herself well. And honestly, when she's in a scene, I enjoy it. Her scenes with Charles Oakley, like the finale, when she's like, let him speak, let him speak. And like, I'm gonna. Yeah. You can't be here. I love it though.
Starting point is 01:55:00 She's like, stop it. No, when they, what did they call Angela? Hee hee. That's- The Toya Jackson nose or whatever. Yeah. Yeah, no when they what did they call Angela he Jackson knows or whatever. Yeah No, these women. Yeah, so and Britt definitely did not show up. So she posted her reunion look though Did she really and she's like it's like edited. She's like on fire. What about Chanel? Like was it with the color scheme? You're like, sick burn. She posted what she was going to wear.
Starting point is 01:55:25 We all missed it in person. Going to go cry about it now. What about Chanel Ion coming for Phaedra's reunion? We talked about it on Pop. I'm like, I lowkey am like, Chanel, you're right, but also I think Phaedra 8. And I'm like, Chanel, what do you wear at reunion? I love Chanel, but I'm like, what are you? You're showing up in feathers and headpiece.
Starting point is 01:55:41 Chanel is always peeking her little head into something and commenting. She's always just, she's in the mix. She loves a good tweet. She loves a good tweet. And honestly, I enjoy her tweets. I know you do. No, her one in Traders where she's like,
Starting point is 01:55:57 I didn't know Survivors was a show. I thought they survived diseases. Bravo taking Dubai off is the biggest fail in my opinion. Yeah. It's just tough halfway around the world. We do have Rhode Island and there was a clip of Ashley Eye comedy and Jared. There is a spotting of Ashley Eye.
Starting point is 01:56:12 And Jared. Film and Jared. Jared is sitting there. To which I immediately reached out to them. I cannot confirm or deny anything they said. So yes she is on Broadway. But we will be watching Rhode Island housewives 100% for sure. No we will be locked in. Locked 100% for sure. No, we will be locked in.
Starting point is 01:56:27 Covering, recapping. Yeah, let's just say not a friend of. Dolores is there for a lot of it too. Nick is not a friend of? What? Who's not a friend of? That's all I'm saying. You're saying Ashley Eye, isn't it?
Starting point is 01:56:39 That feels like maybe. So Ashley Eye is a full time cast member. I'm just. Not a friend of. No, he, this- Not a friend of. No, he literally just said, not a friend of. I could be talking about literally anything or anyone. Period. I'm just, it's an individual sentence standing on its own,
Starting point is 01:56:53 but I will be tuning in. If we've learned anything from Cynthia, a friend of can be the show. So- We won't even have to worry about it. But it doesn't matter because she's not a friend of. Well, I didn't say she. I just said, not a friend of. Not a friend didn't say she, I just said not a friend of.
Starting point is 01:57:05 Not a friend of. I don't know if Us Weekly is gonna. They're gonna clip that. They're gonna clip it and they're gonna keep in. Nick confirms. Nick confirms. Nick confirms. Friend of show.
Starting point is 01:57:16 The logs. I don't know what, Nick confirms that Ashley I is, quote, not a friend of, end quotes. She will be a full-time cast member. We will be watching. I haven't heard that from anyone. Yeah. But I did talk to my friends recently.
Starting point is 01:57:31 He did DM Ashley I, and then- DM? What do you think, we're like co-workers? Ashley I. Yeah, DM. I don't know. Katie is currently in her DM. Her husband was a best man.
Starting point is 01:57:44 The rumors are true. I am excited to see Jared being Her husband was a best man. The rumors are true. I am excited to see Jared being a husband of a housewife. Are you talking? He's too sweet. I was just gonna say, who is he giving? Is he gonna give us a little son? Is he gonna give us a little Todd? He's giving Jared heaven.
Starting point is 01:57:56 I don't think Jared has it in him to call anyone a biatch. Like is he gonna be like Todd being like, no drama. So did they tell you who else was gonna be on the cast of Rhode Island? I was gonna say- They would never tell me anything.
Starting point is 01:58:10 Nothing, no. My question was, are you DMing Katie and can you show us the receipts? I got it. Call back. Orange County. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:22 He has insiders, friends. Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. If you have to explain it, it doesn't work. No, that was funny. Yeah, yeah, yeah as insiders friends.
