Starting point is 00:00:02 Welcome back everybody to another episode of the weekly planet where we talk movies and comics and TV shows. My name is James, also known as Mr. Sunday, and with me as always, in celebration of Big Comic-Con. Oh, Big Comic-Con. Woo! That's what we do. I've forgotten about that.
Starting point is 00:00:16 No, we do it. It's too early in the morning for woos. Unless some of this news is so very exciting that I feel compelled to woo. I'm not going to woo just because of the woo of it all, even though it's fun to woo. It's fun to woo. It's not, they don't have to do it for them. Fun to woo, but do it for you.
Starting point is 00:00:32 I like it. Yeah, it's good, right? So joining me in celebration of Comic Con is Nick Mason. It's good to be here. Next week, big movie, Spider-Man, Brand New Day, but this week no movie. I mean, there were some movies probably. Yeah. We could have watched a movie on some streaming garbage thing.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Some crap. Some crap. But we chose not to. Out of respect for the listeners. You know? We don't want to force people to, I mean, most people probably don't. This one's for them. This one's for them.
Starting point is 00:01:00 That's right. We operated a similar problem. principal to Hollywood directors where they're like one for me, one for the studios. We're mostly for the studios. Absolutely. We're 99% from, you know, shameless promoting of a substandard movie on a streaming service or whatever. And then one for you, the little people.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Yeah, that's right. Which is just an extended ad for movies that were shown at Comic Con. That's right. That's one for you. That's right. For free, a free ad, by the way. Free ad for you. Don't have to pay anything for it.
Starting point is 00:01:28 But you can if you want to... Yeah, exactly. So that's why this is a little bit late because we're waiting for everything to clear Comic-Con, waiting for the smoke to settle. It's interesting, though... I wanted to see everybody's opinions before I had an opinion. Exactly. Can't have an opinion without everybody else's opinions to refine your own opinion.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Yeah. And maybe completely change your own opinion. I thought that was bad, but everybody else is saying it's good. That's right. But also, it's interesting that quite a few things got released well in advance of Comic-Con the first Doomsday trailer. Like pretty much after this dropped last week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Which we're going to talk about this week. Well, speaking of... Oh, yes. We're going to talk about how big the Odyssey is as a movie. Big Odyssey. Some people aren't happy about it. Oh, they're wagling their fingers. They're like, hmm.
Starting point is 00:02:04 We've had comments that are like, well, I went to a cinema and wasn't very full at all. Oh, well, I guess it's probably not doing very well. Yeah. I guess someone along the line is lying about these numbers for some reason. Yeah. But who? Us. Oh, we are, aren't we, for the sake of the studio.
Starting point is 00:02:20 That's right. This is a one for them. This is a one for them. We're saying it's one for you, the little people listeners. It's not. Secretly, this is actually also one for them. Yeah. Then we're going to talk some trailers, because it's trailers all the,
Starting point is 00:02:31 way down today. I've got some announcements. We've got matchbox the movie. Incredible. I got a lot to say about matchbox the movie. You do. Blade Runner 2099. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:02:41 William Gibson's new romancer. Speaking of sci-fi. It's cyberpunk as stravaganza this week. A new trailer for Resident Evil of this year. A new trailer for Craigsy. Yeah. Character by Craigsie. A new trailer for Clayface.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I love interviews with him. He's having fun. Yeah, I saw a couple of those. Yeah, yeah. Clayface? His name should be pronounced Zach Craxie. Crager in the US. Because they say Craig.
Starting point is 00:03:04 It's not CREG though. Yeah, no. But they say Craig. Instead of saying Craig, they say Craig, they say Craig. I'm listening. Listen. I'm saying you should be the reverse. I am listening and ignoring.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Yeah, okay, fair enough. Our Clayface has mentioned. And then when we're talking SDCC, we've got a trailer for lanterns. Oh, yes. We got an announcement of a new Marvel's MCU Ghost Rider and a new Black Panther. What? What? As we mentioned, the trailer for Doom's date.
Starting point is 00:03:31 then the leaked trailer for Doomsday. What's going on with Blade? Nothing. Deadpool updates. And that's pretty much, that'll take us through. I'll take us through. The other segments of the show, Tom Collings. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Who's with Rob Collings at the moment. Tom Collings is the drink, who's with Rob Colleges, who edits this. Okay. Are you understanding? He's editing while drunk. Yes. Okay. Good.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Good. Tom Collins is enjoying a Rob Collings. Oh. Yeah. Very nice. It puts time codes below. who edits this. Was all of this just a cover for the fact that you said Tom Collings instead of Rob Collins?
Starting point is 00:04:05 No, this is a, this is a, I planned this. If you looked at my notes. Oh, it is on the run sheet. Okay, yeah. Not only that, again, word for word. Just a comical misunderstanding involving Rob Collings. Very nice. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And then we'll do other segments, which, to be clear, are for you, the listeners. That's right. We'll do one for you, I reckon. Mason, yes, hello. The Odyssey is massive. Oh, yes. The second weekend looks like in the US or the way. Oh, tell me something I don't know as a big Odyssey scholar.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I already knew it was massive. It's a big poem, I think. Yeah, it's important, isn't it? Big, a lot of lines. Themes? Thames. Subtext. Doesn't rhyme, though, but sometimes at one time it does.
Starting point is 00:04:44 It rhymes one time? Yep. Wow. In Greek or English? In English. Yeah. It rhymes Odyssey with hell of a bodice. Who's the bod?
Starting point is 00:04:54 Who's the bod? Odysseus. Yeah, he does have a hell of a bod. Yeah, that's what I'm talking. talking about. Unrealistic body for the time, probably. Probably. Too tall also probably for the time.
Starting point is 00:05:05 That's right. Not four for ten. Yeah. So the US is going to make, it looks like, maybe more, but 84.5 million. That's its second weekend,
Starting point is 00:05:13 which is more than Christopher Nolan's last movie Oppenheimer's opening. That's how big this is. This is going to go well over 500 million worldwide the weekend. Probably 600, it looks like. Not bad.
Starting point is 00:05:23 This will easily clear a billion dollars it seems at this point. Certified Billy Cracker. That's right. We only had a couple of these. We've had this, we've had Michael. We've had maybe Mario. Mario probably cracked a billy.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Yeah. There's also a good chance that this will beat Deadpool and Wolverine for the largest ever R-rated movie of all time if it reaches $1.33 billion. Oh, but to get your skates on, Sean Levy, make another Billy Cracker. Yeah, maybe he will. You stupid dumbass.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Stupid dumbass. But of course, that's also, we'll see what Spider-Man does, which is, as mentioned, next week's episode. But I don't know if Spider-Man will really, Spider-Man will like open front-heavy Without a doubt 100% depending on if it's good or not
Starting point is 00:06:04 We'll see what happens I say 100% as if I know anything 100% Spider-Man always opens big Even the terrible Spider-Man movies Not the terrible Spider-Man spin-off movies That's different That's so true
Starting point is 00:06:13 That's different I mean yeah as mentioned last week The Odyssey Like the IMAX A lot of places the world over It's booked out like months in advance At this point And IMAX is
Starting point is 00:06:21 There's only 500 screens worldwide And they all have a very small capacity Yeah exactly But also again It's doing incredible numbers Except for those people who were saying they went to a showing and I wasn't that busy. That's right.
Starting point is 00:06:32 That's right. So, someone to think about. Obviously, someone's lying. Yeah, it's us. And Christopher Nolan. Yes. Because he told us to lie, so. He did.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Hello, it's me, Christopher Nolan. The problem is that my movie isn't as big movie as I thought it was going to be. What? What can we do to help Christopher? Well, if you gentlemen could simply lie for me, simply tell a little white lie. No problem. In exchange for money.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Which I'm not making, by the way. How much do we have to give you for this? What do you have in your wallets? I don't really carry a wallet anymore. Just give, what do you have? I can give you my phone. I'll take my AirPods. I'll take your phone which I don't use.
Starting point is 00:07:07 At AirPods? What are you going to connect it to? My phone, I guess. You can listen to all my voice memos. That sounds very, that sounds enticing. No, it doesn't. Yes, it does. I'm Christopher Nolan.
Starting point is 00:07:19 My tastes are esoteric and unknowable. Goodbye. He doesn't know that all my voice notes are screaming and farting. Or he does. He will. He will. So I feel like I should mention this because I think it's very funny. Elon Musk is having a normal one.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Oh, yeah. As a result of this. And he said before the end of the year. He hasn't been on a normal one for a while. He hasn't been a normal one. He's been a little bit silent, I think. Oh, right. Really?
Starting point is 00:07:45 I think so. I don't know. I don't keep track, really. He's doing some shit. Yeah, to be fair, you're probably right. But he tweets like dozens, if not hundreds of times a day. Oh, I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I'm not, again, I'm not on Twitter. You are. You should know. He said before this year ends, Grok will imagine a full-length movie of the Odyssey imagined. So Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of the Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer. I don't know if you saw like the example of this.
Starting point is 00:08:12 No. It's atrocious. I bet it is. It looks like a 1960s kind of Paul Newman, Ray Harryhausen kind of. Also very accurate to ancient Greek. It's also in English. Yeah. So like, all right, whatever.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I mean, there is no world. that this will be good or successful. Also, a lot of people are saying, well, we should just get Mel Gibson to do it. Funny, you should say that. Because he made Apocalyptic. But my understanding is historians make fun of Apocalyptic all the time for not being particularly historically. He also said at the time that... It's just not in English.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Yeah, he said at the time that, like, yeah, this is a heightened reality just said in that particular era. Also, I hope that Grock scrapes that Apocalyptic trailer that just has that one frame of Mel Gibson looking insane with all the background actors. That's the first time he had the big beard. And that's just this version of The Odyssey is just, he's in every frame, just looking insane. So John Carter said on Twitter, excuse me. Yep, this is what he said. He's back from Bassoon. Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:09 He did come back, didn't he? Probably, yeah, yeah. I want Elon Musk to give Mel Gibson 100 million to film an Odyssey adaptation with painstaking historically accurate ships, armours, weapons and casting, with all dialogue taken straight from the original poem and delivered Homeric Greek. And Elon said, I'm down. And everybody's going to watch this, are they? Yeah, but also, like, he knows that...
Starting point is 00:09:30 On their phone. Yeah. In the Twitter app. Well, like, Elon Musk knows that Mel Gibson is not going to do this also. Like, why would Mel Gibson, like, Mal Gibson also, despite all of the things you can say of him, you know, he's said some very racist things. And by all accounts, he's insane. And he's not Australian. And he's not Australian.
Starting point is 00:09:46 He's born in America. He's born in America. Yeah. Like, why would he... He's also, like, a pretty good or competent director at the very least now. Why would he do this? That's always the fascinating. anything to me when somebody's like, oh, why don't they actually just cast Sydney Sweeney as
Starting point is 00:10:01 Helen of Troy? I don't know. Maybe she didn't want to do it. Maybe she's busy. Yeah. You know, it's like when it's always like, what don't they just bring back this actor is this character? Why did they have to recast?
Starting point is 00:10:11 Maybe because the previous guy is too busy or he's too old or he doesn't want to do the physical stuff anymore. Yep. They're like, why don't they just bring back Ben Affleck as Batman? Maybe because he didn't want to do it anymore. He quit. And they'd have to cut in a really obvious stuntman every time. And then people would complain.
Starting point is 00:10:26 about that. Yeah. And it was a hellish time in his life. Like, why would, why would he want to do it again? Yeah. No,
Starting point is 00:10:31 just cast him. This movie would be better if he just cast Ben Affleck. Well, that's a good actually. That's a very good. Yeah. This would actually be good if you cast Benafleck in another
Starting point is 00:10:39 Kevin Smith movie. Just put him in that. I'll be up for that. Why can't it be blunt man? So. Because Kevin Smith is blunt man. Yeah, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:10:48 Come on. Ridicious. Oh, he's chronic. I can't remember. I don't know. I don't remember. But then it was Val Kilmer and Vanessa, Funny stuff.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Funny stuff. So also just wanted to mention Mel Gibson is doing a Passion of the Christ sequel. Well, it's going to be two. Extra passionate? Yeah, passionate. Extra passionate. Extra passionate and hot stuff. For Jesus.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Wasn't he going to go through hell or something? Yeah, that's the story. Hasn't that been the rumor for 20 years? Yeah, apparently that's what it is. But also, it's going to be in English this time because the Passion of Christ is not in English. And it's going to be with a white finish actor. So, like, no one, when this happens, no one is going to cry about this, including us, because I don't care.
Starting point is 00:11:25 I don't give a fuck. Like, we've talked about this with people like, well, you did, you know, you were... Also, who's going to be like, wow, I like The Odyssey from Christopher Nolan? You know what I'd like to watch The Odyssey again? But it looks weird. Now it looks weird. Because people would like, well, you were very, you know, critical of gods of Egypt about the casting. I don't think we were.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Also, I think we were just like, that's weird. This is a baffling movie. I wonder if Mel Gibson and his team or what are the producers or whatever alike when it comes to this passion, the Christ sequel, they're like, people aren't going to watch it now. They watch the last one, even though it wasn't in English. People are not going to do that. The world has changed. People are not going to watch a movie like this, not in English anymore. Everybody's on their phones. You can't trust the way. It's also hard. Yeah. I bet you're in another language that you don't speak. You can't trust people to be looking at subtitles because they're also on their phone.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Yeah. Also, if you look at the audience who's going to. Wow, I sure am being crucified currently. That's second screen in a time. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I'm being crucified. Yeah. on it right now whoa we support this that's the crowd okay cool I was gonna say
Starting point is 00:12:31 who is that yeah yeah I'm glad you're getting crucified Jesus that's me Pontius Pilot that's right that's right that's right yeah I mean
Starting point is 00:12:39 I think it has to be in English because also at this point the crowd that will watch this movie I think this is it's an easier version of them to watch as well I've never even seen Passionately Christ and it's not because I'm like
Starting point is 00:12:50 I have no opinion on it I've just never yeah I've only ever because it was one of shows that it was one of those movies that was on like commercial TV in Australia and therefore it was like four hours long if you included all the ads and I would flick over the TV and it's just him being beaten with sticks and going burr and then I'd go I don't like this then I would flick over to die hard or whatever and then I'd flick back during the ad break and it's 40 minutes
Starting point is 00:13:12 later and he's still being beaten with sticks going oh maybe he did something in the middle maybe he had like some soup or something might have had soup sure historically accurate soup that's right a broth a broth a broth Mason speaking of historical I'm historically accurate. Are you familiar with the fact that not only is there a matchbox movie, there's also a Hot Wheels movie, but they're both owned by Mattel. Yes, I was aware of that. And so they've had to come up with two, presumably two separate premises,
Starting point is 00:13:38 or more likely based on this trailer, probably the same premise. Let me check the Hot Wheels premise. So yeah, we got the first trailer for Matchbox, the movie. Yes, which is, the premise is that there's a small group of adults, and as kids they were in the matchbox gang they played with matchbox toys and now one of them is a super spy so they have to team up to stop a nuclear bomb
Starting point is 00:14:02 and save the world or whatever which could very well be the premise of every single one of these toy adaptations now because it's such what a weird premise and at the end they just race cars and stuff I guess yeah it's good isn't that how did they gain the ability to
Starting point is 00:14:16 I don't know they probably got old one's really good to go karting I don't even I'm I've used my skills right now nice Did you find this trailer a little bit confusing? As in which part of it? Did they made it? You'll that also.
Starting point is 00:14:28 So what happens is they're all friends. They're all buddy buddies from when they were kids. And then they all meet up as adults and they have a drink at the bar. And then John Sena's like, we're all going to, they all get woozy. And John Sen is like, we're all getting woozy. We're going to wake up in another place. Well, see, that's the thing. I think his, I think my initial thought was he spiked all their drinks.
Starting point is 00:14:49 But I think he just notices that all their drinks in spite because he's a super spy. because he's a super spy. That's right. But I thought initially he'd given them some sort of magic potion and they were going to wake up in a matchbox world where everybody was playing matchbox cars? It's interesting because when this started, it's like, where is this guy?
Starting point is 00:15:01 Where is the matchbox car? And the only thing is that they were in a matchbox gang. When they were kids, yeah. A thing that no kids have ever been here. Maybe one set of kids were. Yeah, maybe. God, imagine that meeting where they're like, how do we? But there's going to be like a bit where they're planning the highest.
Starting point is 00:15:18 With matchbox cars, 100%. That maybe that's even in this trailer, I don't. Probably, yeah. I watched it once with one eye. And at one point, one of the characters is like, you don't remember when we played Matchbox Cars and we drove a car up a ramp. Let's do that now. Matchbox Cars.
Starting point is 00:15:33 We did it. We're Matchbox Cars. I think some of the action looked fine. But I mean, stop pretending this is a licensed product when it's clearly just, they may have even taken a pre-existing script and just added some matchbox. A fast and furious knockoff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Yeah. And the John Sen is in it. This could be his. Fast and Fewer spin off. Yeah. Absolutely it could. Yeah. Okay, so the couple of things that I think are working in this, one of which is...
Starting point is 00:15:59 Also, it looks like Game Night. Yeah, it does. Which is good. I like Game Night. There's a joke in this as well about throwing bodies out of the plane, which I think works. Yep. Because it's got Sam... Well, he's hoping that not all the good jokes are in the trailer.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Yeah. I love Sam Richardson as well. Oh, yeah. I think he's great. But this is directed by Sam Hargrave, who directed the extraction movies. He was also one of the stunt coordinators and... I think it was Chris Evan's stuntman on Captain America's and whatever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Well, is that going to filter through to the general population who are like, I like the extraction movies exclusive to Netflix, therefore I will go to the cinema and watch. I just mean that I think he's a competent, competent director. In those, I don't know, I've never seen him make a fast and furious movie. Sorry, a matchbox, the movie. Mason, I didn't know. You didn't even know.
Starting point is 00:16:45 No. I mean, you know, also, I don't know if you saw this. Also, everybody in the movie has the same sense of humor. Yeah, so it's John Cena, Jessica Biel, San Richardson, Arturo Castro. Like, that's fine, I guess. Yeah, Jessica Biel's back, I guess. Back from the dead? What has she been in?
Starting point is 00:17:01 I don't know. I don't know either. I couldn't even name a historical thing she was in. Oh, Blade 3. Blade 3. Blade Trinity, I think you'll find. It's called. And Seventh Heaven.
Starting point is 00:17:10 And Seventh Heaven. What, she loves a movie with a number in it? She does. A movie or a show or whatever? Just whatever. This is a different thing. Yeah. Jessica Biel.
Starting point is 00:17:16 There she is. Yeah. But you probably saw this. This is released on October 9th, and it's going straight to Apple TV. Hell yeah. See, that to me is the kiss of there. Absolutely. Apple TV, when have they ever made a good movie? All they do is make exclusively really good sci-fi shows.
Starting point is 00:17:30 And then no, then bad movies. How is that the... How did I guess... Did you watch Fountain of Youth? No. No. With John Fountain and his sister Jane Fountain? No, they were busy that day and they didn't exist. So I didn't see it by myself.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Or at all? At all. Correct, yes. I didn't see it because John. John Fountain and Jane Fountain, my friends who don't really exist, they were busy. Even my fantasy friends weren't interested in showing up to this. That's actually really sad. And I made their favorite foods.
Starting point is 00:18:02 What was it? Coins. Coins. A coin salad for John and Jane Fountain. Yes. Disgusting. All of this. Disgusted by this.
Starting point is 00:18:19 By this absolute waste of resource. in this destroyed world. What's the budget on this? No, I don't know. $200 million? So there is a Hot Wheels movie announced. It's a live action, blah, blah, blah. There's nothing about it that we know.
Starting point is 00:18:31 I think that one's going to be the one where it's like, they're going to do the red one thing where it's like, I've got all these hot wheels cars and you can magically drive the cars. You can put them on the ground and they turn into real cars and you drive the cars. You've got to do a magic one. One of these have to be a magic one. It'll be that one in the Viewmaster one where it's like, you can, you look at the stuff in the viewmaster one.
Starting point is 00:18:50 You make it real. You make it real. You look at it. You make it real. Oh, no. The greedy land developer, he's bought the, he's bought my favorite, my viewmaster. He bought it off eBay and then he stole it. And now he's making evil with it.
Starting point is 00:19:01 He's making evil with it. He's making a crime. He's making burglary. He's making burglary. He's making a burglary in the viewmaster. He's making it happen. Don't do that. Don't do it.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Well, actually, you can't, you need imagination to make the viewmaster work. And I'm better in imagination, so I've done it. Yeah, but doesn't he have an imagination machine that takes all the imagination? Maybe, yep. Oh, no. It's too much imagination. He's turned on the imagination machine, but he can't handle it. It's too much imagination.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Wow. And also my dad, he died, but he's in the viewmaster. It's okay, so I can see him later in the viewmaster. I'm proud of you, son. You had the best imagination to make the viewmaster happen. I always think he had imagination. Lucky, we got this viewmaster of us spending time together in... No, we could spend time together in the viewmaster.
Starting point is 00:19:41 In the viewmaster. Anyway, Mattel, that's a free pitch for Viewmaster. I can't wait for the segment in the Viewmaster movie where they have to explain what a viewmaster is. Because you know they have to do that. And it's just, and then just the kid's going, and that's it, is it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Well, you click the little switch on the side and it goes to the next picture of a boat. Yeah. You said that's so weird. Picture of a boat. Okay, with the viewmaster one, though. So it's just boats, is it? Well, you take the viewmaster reel out,
Starting point is 00:20:17 you put a different one in. Okay. And you paid for these. did you? Mountains, mountains and boats. Yeah. Because, like, maybe I'm wrong.
Starting point is 00:20:25 But Viewmaster technology has not, I mean, there's probably an app or it projects onto the wall or something. I don't think that's true. I think there was that. That's a slide projector. Yeah. I just don't know about any of this,
Starting point is 00:20:37 frankly. But that is to say that Hot Wheels now has to be the one where it turns real, right? Yeah. How do we get out of this? Well, I've got my special Hot Wheels belt. I got some track and it's going to go around. Didn't this,
Starting point is 00:20:50 happen some of this sort of in Antman? Yeah. Yeah. That's what we got the idea. And then Red One also. And Red One also did it. Oh yeah. Fuck.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Anyways. Anyway, only 77 more of these properties to go until Mattel's run out of him. Let's do some sci-fi, Mason. I don't know if you saw the first season of this, but I just wanted to mention it. Dark Matter has a season two. Oh, I saw the thumbnail for the trailer for the season two. Dark Matter's incredible. Is that Apple TV?
Starting point is 00:21:14 That's Apple TV. They've done it again. It's Joel Edgton and Jennifer Connolly. I would recommend season one. And what's the deal with it? them? There's a box. And you go in there and you can go to infinite realities. Oh, that's not bad. And there's there that are you sometimes, a lot of the times. And then they come looking for you because you're you and you're them. Can I be honest? That sounds like a hassle. It is a hassle. The whole thing's,
Starting point is 00:21:33 it's not fun. Joel Edgerton's like, this is a hassle actually. I wouldn't go on the box. Well, he did. Wait, did he know there were going to be guys that were going to come after? No, okay. So the premise is a guy comes out of the box who is him from another dimension and takes his life. Oh. And dumps him in a different reality. Which is worse? Where he doesn't have his family. Because that guy went and did physics and does a billionaire stuff. And they wanted to live a normal life. And regular Joel Edgerton who went into teaching.
Starting point is 00:22:01 He's like, well, I got a wife and kid. Which one's married to Jennifer Connolly? The Joel Edgerton, the good one. Oh, then I'd stay there, I reckon. Yeah. Well, that's why the evil Joel Edgson want to come in. But then when he goes, he's always lost in the box trying to find the different reality. I'm lost in the box!
Starting point is 00:22:15 Yeah. But there's different versions of him also lost in the box trying to get back also. Oh yeah. So you've got a very weird phone number calling you right now. Yeah, I think it's a, it's got to be spam. None of those numbers are even correct. No.
Starting point is 00:22:28 And the phone has come up red, an exclamation point? Damn, all right. Weird call, weird times. We'd call weird times. Speaking to sci-fi, Blade Runner 2099, finally got a trailer. It's big billowy clothes future. You better believe it. Run around in your billowy clothes.
Starting point is 00:22:46 So many layers. Yeah. You got, I mean, you need layers and you need to be billowing in case that acid rain starts and you can throw your trench coat away because it's been acid rain. That's right. You know? Acid rain. Now, this is a, this is a future.
Starting point is 00:22:59 It's been flipped. The world's been flipped on its head. Yeah. 50 years after the last Blade Runner movie. That's right. Replicants have taken over. Yeah, I got a synopsis here. In 2009, following a replica uprising, replicants are the power brokers in the city while
Starting point is 00:23:11 humans have become second class citizens. Wait a minute. They flipped it. That's what I'm saying. They flipped it around. They flipped the script. Usually, it's the other one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Yeah. Olwin, Michelle Yo, a replicant blade runner, is nearing the end of her life. Why are you still blade running? Oh, you guess you're blade running humans? Yeah, maybe, yeah. Because if you haven't seen any of the Blade Runner movies. Maybe she's just a regular cop. Yeah, but I guess also, like, Ryan, uh, Gosling character was a, he was a blade runner,
Starting point is 00:23:36 but he was also a replicant as well. Correct. So, but who is she, doesn't matter. She unites with her partner, Cora. I think it very much matters. Yeah, sure. She unites with her partner, Cora, Hunter Schaefer. human pretending to be a replicant.
Starting point is 00:23:48 They flipped it. They flipped it. They flipped it around. To hunt down a gang of rogue replicants. I don't know about this. Why don't you know about it, James? It looks kind of like the wider stuff, like the big city stuff, looks like the scale of it.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Flying cars games, do you like that? Don't you like that? But when it's like, it just individuals in a room, it kind of doesn't have the... Not yet. It's a trailer. It's a trailer. So I guess I'm just not sold on, in particular, the smaller scale stuff. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Hunter Schaefer is like a person pretending to be a replicant as like the perfect choice. But this is created by Silka Louisa who did The Shining Girls. I don't know if you've seen The Shining Girls. I enjoyed that and that was upsetting and weird. And also different reality. I'm familiar. Yeah. It's exactly the same.
Starting point is 00:24:34 That's interesting. Okay. So I'm not, I don't know. What did you think? I thought it looked fun. I don't know. I'm going to give it one episode. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:40 I'm going to watch all of these. Yeah. Well, speaking of all episodes, we'll drop on November 25th. Apple TV? And here's the other thing, it's Prime. Oh, roll the dice. Well, yeah, if it was Apple TV, I'd be like, great. It's probably going to be amazing Apple TV sci-fi.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Yeah, okay. No, I'm not sold on this. But it is a good excuse for us to look at the Blade Runner movies. That's so true, isn't it? All three of them? And did we cover the computer game at one point? We did at one point, yeah. Yeah, great.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Which is just a guy living Rick Decker's life. And we couldn't get past like screen number two, I think, something like that. It was hard. We didn't even know where to click and walk. Difficult. Difficult. Yeah. But just quickly on the topic of sci-fi,
Starting point is 00:25:20 Robocop, the series, is also definitely happening again. What universe is this happening? Even though it was announced three years ago. Okay. I don't know. Do we have any other details? No information. Showrunner, Prime.
Starting point is 00:25:31 It's not on Stan? James Wan is involved. Oh. Okay. All right. I don't know, man. All right. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:25:39 I just want that Peter Welle movie. And then I'm done. You mean Robocop One? Yeah. Okay. Wait, do you mean Robocop 3? He's not in that. No, correct.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Do you want a remake of Robocop 3, but he's in that? Yes, that's right. Okay. That's what I, well, I liked the game of what I played of it as well. That's a Peter Weller return. But what sci-fi I did like and looks exciting is an adaptation of William Gibson's Neuromancer with Callum Turner in the lead role.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Neuromancer, I hardly know her. Nice, got him. Neuromancer will unravel. I only know it. In a futuristic world following a dangerous, top-rung, superhacker named Chase Callum Turner. Case, but yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Where are you getting that? Why does it say Chase? It says Case. What did I say? You said Chase. It says case. Yes. Case.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Continue. Who was thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly. A razor girl assassin with mirrored eyes. Yes. Aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with Untold Secrets. You read this? Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:39 From 1984. Have you read it? Oh, I have read it. And? I'm a fan of... Is there a series of New Romance of Books? There is, well, Nice.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Well, there's, there's a sort of a trilogy set in this, this setting, and then he's done a series of other trilogies set in different settings. I think his later work is better than this, but this is, this is, this is nonetheless a ground breaking James. But what is interesting, I think, is that this,
Starting point is 00:27:05 like you said, this is a novel from 1984, so, so much of this has been done in other stuff. Yes. Like when you think of, like, because cyberpunk. Johnny Nomonic. Johnny Nomonic, playing 2077 is largely it's this, it's this premise.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Yes. Like it was, the role playing game was based on this. Yeah. So, so much of this people, I think the audience is going to be like, we've seen a lot of this.
Starting point is 00:27:29 So I think it'll be interesting to see. I like the look of it. I think it looks really good. It looks incredible. Yeah. So this is great. But I think it'll be like, I'm connecting my brain to the internet.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Yeah, we know. Yeah. We know, we know, idiot. Stop doing that. Yeah, stop it. Boring.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Yeah. So it's created by the series is Graham Roland, who did Dark Winds, he worked on Fringe, Almost Human, which I like. That was a Carl Urban, like, Robot Series. Not 2014. Oh, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:27:50 She also did work on Jack Ryan, good movie show. Jack Ryan, very. Remember Jack Ryan? Absolutely. It's also JD Dillard who directed some episodes in the new Twilight Zone and Utopia, but not that one. Okay. Ten episodes. Dane DeHaan is in it?
Starting point is 00:28:04 Yeah. Oh, he looks like a new romance. He kind of do. Mark Strong is in it? He looks like a new. He was June. One of the SARS guards is in it? He was that killer robot or whatever.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Murderbot? Murder bot. Yeah. You should finish that. Okay. Look, I'm very excited for this. This,
Starting point is 00:28:18 out of this and Blade Run, this looks better. This is, you know, one of those ones that famously hasn't gotten off the ground for, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:25 more than, what is this? 40 years, 40 years. 40 years. This looks more, like the world looks more real and lived in
Starting point is 00:28:32 than the Blade Run the trailer did. Yeah. For me. Very good. I mean, Blade Round had the big billowy clothes.
Starting point is 00:28:38 That's true. These are somewhat billowy. Callan Turner's got sort of a big bomber jacket on. Does he? Yeah. What doesn't he just be James Bond then? Maybe he will.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Maybe he will. So it premieres on January 22nd, 2027. If it's Apple, I'm assuming it'll be one or two maybe episodes and then week to week. Nice. So you call yourself New Romantic about this material? Yes, I do. All right. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:29:00 That's exciting for you. It is exciting for me. God, this is ages away. Yeah. We're even talking about. Right. Waste the time. Just give us all the episodes now.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Exactly. You stupid morons. Stupid morons over at Apple TV. Well, like Crapple TV. Whoa, you got on. I'm going to continue to call them Crapple TV every week until they release all the episodes at once for me. And if that takes until the actual release date,
Starting point is 00:29:24 so be it. So be it. It's the cross you bear. Resident Evil got a new trailer. Resident Evil 2026. This is Zach Krieger, who of course directed weapons. And also, is there a giant woman in this cavern? Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Let me check. Yes. Yep, there's you. She's running and screaming. She's running and screaming. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:43 One of the worst things you can see is a giant woman running and screaming at you. Yeah, me. You know? You wouldn't mind that, though? Or you would hate that? I would also hate that, I think. If it was happening to me. How far away am I? You're far enough where, like, I could leave?
Starting point is 00:29:57 I'm going to leave. And I'm fine with it. Okay. I could leave and I'm fine with it. Hey, man, don't enrage her further. She's very enraged, but I think maybe enraging her further would be bad. Okay, I'm getting this Uber. All right, bye.
Starting point is 00:30:11 This might be your just desserts or whatever. I don't know. Yeah, yeah, I think probably based on your previous behavior, you deserve this. Zach Kregor also confirmed a couple of things, one that we knew that it is set in a modern day. Yep. Even though it is... We're mad about it.
Starting point is 00:30:26 We're mad about it. Where? Yeah. Not actually. That was my impression of people on the internet. Yes, exactly. Because Resident Evil 2 was said in 1999. Also, he added the snow.
Starting point is 00:30:35 There's no snow in that game. Oh, okay. Well, we recently, what's coming up in a few weeks on a big sandwich, we looked at the original Resident Evil 2. which was a very interesting game to go back to... Because of how clunky it is? Yeah, but it's just a pretty interesting and pretty good game. It is interesting.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Yeah. The second thing I noticed. Yeah. So, anyway, I'll let you know when that's out. Yeah. I find, yeah, I mean, what I'm enjoying, having watched the second one, and I think maybe I was a little lukewarm on initially, but what I'm increasingly finding is that I'm very,
Starting point is 00:31:07 I'm warming up very much to the idea of a normal person being dropped into the Resident Evil universe because we know what he's in for and he has no idea. He doesn't play it. That's a lot of fun, I think. That's very good. There was a chance that maybe if it's set during Resident Evil two, that he might have played Resident Evil one. That's true.
Starting point is 00:31:26 But I don't think he has? Also, don't they run parallel or pretty, no. That's two and three, I think. Yeah. Yeah. Watching interviews with Zach Craig, he was talking about how like, yeah, so this is, he doesn't want to adapt like Leon or Claire or Chris Redfield or anything because those stories already exist.
Starting point is 00:31:41 but this is like you could make this Resident Evil 10. It was like that's the idea. I read something on Twitter and I do not know if this is true. And it's probably not known all the shit that you fall for. That is, yeah, I'm dumb. Capcom doesn't allow, won't allow a direct adaptation of the games. That's why a lot of them are like this. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:01 This is from some guy on the internet. But some of them are... It hasn't been community noted. Like some of them have characters, but he's talking about specifically taking, like exact stories and yeah seems that seems that is that animated adaptations though who knows man
Starting point is 00:32:17 as the biggest fan of the Resident Evil franchise I don't know I don't know it's unknowable what do you want me to know everything okay nerd well I'm not gonna know anything because you want me to know something
Starting point is 00:32:30 I'm not going to know anything it's not like you're even and I've got a flawless strike rate I'm gonna say you don't even try you're just doing the thing that you would do regardless bingo so also what I like about this That's a bingo.
Starting point is 00:32:42 It is. It invokes the feeling of the games. There's resource management, survival, and just things just getting worse and worse. And getting weirder and weirder. There's also, I love the shotgun shell bit. It's like, well, that's the shotgun shells from the game. So that's good enough for me.
Starting point is 00:32:56 That's right. And you see the zombie like coming up the stairs and he's fumbling with the... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think this is going to be the kind of movie where, along with the character, we're going to be counting bullets and... Yeah, right, uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Made kits or whatever. Maybe there'll be a bullet counter on screen. Maybe. That'd be actually handy. I mean, it was a big floating gun in weapons, wasn't there? Yeah, there was. What was it do with that? Weapons. I just got it. Yeah, nice.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Yeah. I hope there's that. Which perspective would you like? The Resident Evil 2 remake, where it's over the shoulder, or original Resident Evil where every time you walk into a new room and the camera angle switches violently. Yeah, that one. But then maybe sometimes it could switch in a first-person view. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:33:35 So there's also, apparently it was also made where he set up to Blake Page. six of the of the script he flipped the script he flipped it it's upside down yeah um it's just it doesn't stop for the length of the film he said what the challenge was to just have it escalate until the end which is he said it's because it is also 90 minutes like it's it's gonna be tight yeah hell yeah which i like uh so he's like you know
Starting point is 00:34:00 we don't see many movies either there was like mad max fury road but yeah i mean that sounds incredible i this is probably this is like i think it's interesting of the movies i want to see the rest of this might be like the the top one for that. Maybe it's a case that Resident Evil fans just hate the idea of anything, any adaptation. Correct. But I feel like if you're going to have faith in anybody to make an entertaining game set in this world, it's back, Zach Kregor. Do you mean game? Do you mean movie? Whatever. Because you said game. I don't, didn't say anything. I don't even care what I say. Which was nothing. Yeah. Great. Yeah, no, I agree. I think it's the perfect choice. And then after
Starting point is 00:34:34 this, he's got a movie called Flood. So he wrote this and Resident Evil on weapons at the same time, around the same time. All right. And this is the, I don't know what flood's about. Probably a flood. Disagree. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:44 It's probably about kids. Yep. Flood of kids. Flood of kids. Wow. Clayface got a new trailer. That's right. You know about this?
Starting point is 00:34:52 Yes. Spooky, scary, gooey stuff. Melty. Melty. Experiments, acting, being beautiful, then gross, then beautiful again. Then gross.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Then big. Then big! I mean, the biggest change to, the biggest revelation of this trailer is that we get the, we get what seems. It seems to be he's transforming into big clay face mode. Absolutely. How much of that are we going to see?
Starting point is 00:35:14 Hopefully all of it. Probably 10 seconds. Probably 10 seconds. This is so, again, this has been confirmed by Director James Watson that this is the same clay face from creature commandos. And we still, the rumor is, well, because this has already been screened that there is no Batman in this. That could change. And if they wouldn't put it in. They wouldn't put it in.
Starting point is 00:35:34 No. I don't know. It's Batman there and I've described Batman. and I've used AI to draw my description of Batman and here's what he looks like, big spoilers. Spoilers for Batman. This looks really... It's been half like he's back.
Starting point is 00:35:44 He said he didn't want to do it, but they made him do it. No, they made him do it. They made him do it. They made him do it. It's really upsetting. So this comes to cinema's October 23rd. I don't think Supergirl doing really, really, really badly will have any kind of out...
Starting point is 00:35:59 I don't think that'll have a relation to this. We'll talk about later as well. I don't think Lantern's success are going to have anything to do with Supergirl either. So I'm not saying Clayface is going to do well, I have no idea. Probably do all right. It's horror, weird horror stuff is. It does all right generally.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Yeah. But I don't know. Supergirl though is going to digital on July 27th, which is like a month after it. Because in cinemas, like that's rough, man. That is rough. I think, I mean, I would say working in its favour is, again, it's people associate with this with the Batman universe. And Batman generally does very well.
Starting point is 00:36:32 And horror does pretty well, you know, on a limited budget. Yeah, they probably should have done something like this for like the Spider-Man spinoffs and not just make them anti-heroes. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, the Venom movies did make like $2 billion. What do I know? What do I know anything?
Starting point is 00:36:46 You don't know anything. But the difference between you and me is you say a thing and I don't say anything. I don't care about anything. But you are always blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I think this movie will do well or not well. Is that upsetting? That's too much. Do people not like that about me?
Starting point is 00:37:02 They don't like anything about you. Anything? Correct. Okay. I have a thing about you. Um, my teeth. Thumbs down. Thumbs down.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Yuck. They're fine. They're regular. They don't like that. They wish they were either enormous white veneers or falling out of your head. But they don't like normal. Boring. Boring.
Starting point is 00:37:22 And yuck. Okay. Yeah. All right. Well, time to chip away at my head. Teeth specifically. Yeah, that's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Yeah. Which direction would I go? I guess I'd go big and goofy. Yeah, enormous veneers, I think. That's better than like gross and rotting away. Yeah. Yeah. God. Veneers.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Yeah. Someone should stop whoever's doing that. Should we move on the next segment, which is San Diego Comic Con? Yes. More so? Yes. All right. And I say woo.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Oh, you do? I do. Do any of this? Matchbox. Okay, let's quickly go. Matchbox woo? Yeah, for sure. Blade Runner, 299?
Starting point is 00:37:59 I say woo. Neuromancer? I say woo. Neuromanza, I say woo. Clayface. I say woo. Jimmy Wu is investigating the case of Clayface. Is he?
Starting point is 00:38:10 Yeah. They got it from Marvel. They purchased him. It doesn't make any sense. I know. But you didn't say anything, did you? That's what I'm saying. Not saying.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Correct. All right. And we're back. Great to be here, folks. Great to be here doing the podcast. Thanks, Mason. You're welcome. So we know that the DCU didn't have a Comic Con panel this year because James Gunn said
Starting point is 00:38:28 famously, I don't like fans or Zach Snyder fans specifically. That's right. And Ben Affleck called me and he said, I want to do Batman. again and I said no I said no he said I've been better shape than I've ever been and I'm ready to do it I've even got the costume on no we're not sleeping and sweating in it which costume the weird the weird motocross one from the flash it's ready to go that's a good movie but we did of course get a panel for lanterns plus a trailer for lanterns which is the green
Starting point is 00:38:58 lanterns I didn't know we got a panel for lanterns are they talking about it maybe they didn't but there was a trailer yeah that's true yeah yeah yeah looks Looks like a lot of fun. It does. We got some big reveals. What's some big reveals? What can you name any of them? Here's one reveal.
Starting point is 00:39:11 We know the villains of the Manhunters. Yeah. Who are the previous galactic peacekeeping force that the Guardians of the universe created. Oh, so they're nice and good. No, James. They went crazy. Why? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Running around too much running around. And they could be anything or anyone. Sometimes. For as long as they want. You've seen Secret Invasion? We're doing that again. That did worry me. You seen Peacemaker Season 1.
Starting point is 00:39:35 We're doing that again. Where someone can be someone. Yep. And who is it? A bee. It turned out. It was a bee in their head. It was a big bee.
Starting point is 00:39:42 A bee in their bonnet. James Gunn thought that was clever. What if there was a literal bee in your bonnet and controlled your mind and your body? It had you run around. It was more of a butterfly, wasn't it? Yeah, it was a butterfly. And they drank goose and whatever. They drank goose.
Starting point is 00:39:55 And whatever. Yeah. So we also, another reveal is we see Held Jordan in the suit and the actual Green Lantern suits. That's right, yeah. Which maybe we saw on the other trailer. People are mad. I mean, people are all. I think it's fine.
Starting point is 00:40:07 This version, they just wear... Yeah. They just wear... It's like a flight suit. It's fine, yeah. Also, like, when John Stewart becomes the Green Latin in this, he might be a construct. Maybe it's a construct. He might not.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Because also Greenland... Also, it's obviously cheaper and more effective to just have a physical suit. Yes, correct. That he can wear and run around and fly around in. Yeah. I like how he seems bored of being Green Latin. It's just nothing to... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Just the easiest thing in the world. Yeah, that's true. Some things that I thought were interesting We get that scene where Hal gives John the ring and just says, okay, try and fly. I thought that was fun and instead of flying, he creates a little bird. It's in the trailer later as well.
Starting point is 00:40:48 So I guess the little bird is hanging around. Maybe it is, yeah. Maybe you can't get rid of it. Maybe you can't. But I would say that is probably that probably happens before Hal Jordan drives the car off the cliff and just jumps out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Like he's probably like, well, if you can't fly not under pressure, you're going to have to fly under pressure. See if it works. Exactly. Yeah. We also see Sinestro. Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Who's played by Ulrich Thompson, who looks like Sinestro. I mean, he could have a little a mustache. That's true. And he could be pinker. He could be pink. He's the current level of pink of just an angry man. I mean, green, yes. Green Lantern, the movie is a bad movie.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Correct. But that Sinestro was like, I mean, it's bang on. It is bang on. It's unfortunate that the Green Lantern suit looks atrocious. Yeah. And it's the one bad movie, Brian Reynolds, ever. That is a shame. And he tells him that John Stewart, yeah, he's very clear that he knows that he's being replaced.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Do you think he's going to die? Maybe, yeah. He's going to retire. Yeah. Or turn out evil or take an evil turn? No. Hell Jordan does an evil turn, though, doesn't it? Just the once, but it wasn't his fault.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Tom, yeah. It was the big yellow space one. Oh, yeah. Not initially. Well, Tom King says there's a reference, there are going to be references to other Green Lantern throughout lanterns and Teases one really big reveal. So, I don't know. It's always jarring when Guy Gardner shows up, though.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Yeah. Because there's this, we've got this sort of semi-grounded world where, you know, like you said, how Jordan looks just like a, like a mechanic who's over it. Like he's just kind of like, you know, going through the motions and he's just, he, he wakes up and he runs gravel through his hair and he brushes his teeth with whiskey or whatever. And he gets up and he goes and does it. And then Guy Gardner shows up with his super weird hair. God.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Does it upset you? Yeah, a little bit. And Laura Linney is going to play one of the alien overseers. The Guardians of the Universe. Yeah, so who are the big head guys then? Well, it seems like the Guardians of the Universe are just masquerading as regular people. Yeah, that's what I mean. So like, is she a shapeshifter or is that what?
Starting point is 00:42:56 Does she one who just looks like this? I guess. Shapeshifting. And now Paul, Ben, Victor, is and Tans. Antan? Antan. Antan. Antan.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I don't know who that is. He's a guy. Nice, good. This is the insights that the listeners are. I looked into it and I was like, oh, I'll remember that. Or Maceable though, would tell me. Is he a green lantern also? No, he's not a green lantern.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Okay. Extrational. Is he an Antanginist? Extra traditional. James is he an Antanginist for the movie? Devote to exposing the truth and extracting vengeance upon those who have wronged his people. Oh, Lighty Duh. He's also a criminal.
Starting point is 00:43:28 So, yeah. All right. That's like, yeah. Pretty fun. It looks pretty goddamn. I think it looks good. Yeah. I mean, we'll see how it goes.
Starting point is 00:43:34 But this is out very soon. It starts on August 16th. Oh, it's soon. Soon. It's very soon. Soon. I've always been keen on this from Day Dot. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:43:45 And I hope to be proven correct. Otherwise, I'm going to have to pivot wildly and say I never thought this was a good idea. Right. And I don't like it. Why couldn't they have given them all CGI suits and then when they fly the big, it's all green and all it's all lying gray? Also, like, thank you. Maybe there are moments where you don't want to. to be a big glowing meteor in the night.
Starting point is 00:44:05 You don't want to make people aware that you're there. So maybe that's why you fly without. I mean, I think I like the idea that how Jordan's like, I don't fly around glowing green. I don't want, I don't care. I don't wear a mask. I don't care. Back in the olden days I did, I flew around glowing green. I was like, hey, look at me.
Starting point is 00:44:19 But now I'm just like, ugh. Yeah. People come up to me. And they were like, are you how, yes. Yes. You can tell because of my whiskey stained teeth, which I wish James would do. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:30 I'm not really. I don't drink enough whiskey for that to be a problem. It's not a problem. A solution. Brush your teeth with a whiskey then. Okay, it will. Great. Good stuff.
Starting point is 00:44:39 It is great and good stuff. Let's do some Marvel stuff because Marvel had a big H-Shulling. Oh my God. They were going all out. Including the reveal of a new ghost writer movie. That's right. And who happened to come out? Right, Mr. Ryan Gosling?
Starting point is 00:44:50 He's doing everything right now. Right? Yeah. He's huge. He used to be Mr. Indy man. Yeah. I'm doing a small indie movie for no money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Stupid move. Ryan Gosling, you dumb us. I can do stuff. Star Wars and Barbie and the free fall guy. Free fall guy. Yeah. Well, speaking of, this is directed by Sean Levy.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Yes. Of course. I said yes, but I'm not. Well, he's directed Star Wars Starfighter. With Ryan Gosling, yes. He did Deadpool and Wolverine. Big money.
Starting point is 00:45:15 He did free guy. Ugh. He did the... Yuck! Yuck! A yuck movie! You saying Ryan and Reynolds made two bad movies? No, that can't be right?
Starting point is 00:45:26 Yeah, exactly. I'll check my notes. I didn't make any notes. The Adam Project. My dad's Star Wars. I'm doing Star Wars. Time travel, Dad, Star Wars, Starfighter, I'm in a ship my dad's. That's a fricket of lightsaber.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He loves putting a lightsaber in stuff, doesn't he? Yes. And Wedding Crashers, Google Boys, do you remember that one? Did he do that one? Not wedding crashes. But let's go to work at Google. Let's go work at Google where the guys from wedding crashes.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Yeah, good. What a good movie. I don't even know. I didn't say it. Yeah, what a good movie is correct. It's interesting because obviously, you know, they've clear, I would, Sean Levy, of course, did Deadpool and Wolverine
Starting point is 00:46:02 made a lot of money so he's the king of Hollywood right now but did he did he did Deadpool and Wolverine didn't make a ton of money because Sean Levy directly he made that money because everybody loves Deadpool I'm very
Starting point is 00:46:16 It's an okay movie I think he's best I think he also did the night in museum movies I think his best movie is Deadpool and Wolverine but I didn't even love Deadpool and Wolverine I'm like it's a lot like I've said I think during the review and subsequently it is a series of
Starting point is 00:46:30 loosely connected sketches that make fun of the cliches of the Marvel cinematic universe and it's spin-off. And if you look at it that way, I'm like, it's fun. You couldn't handle it. I couldn't handle it. It's true. I was blubbering in my seat. But does that translate to a completely different genre?
Starting point is 00:46:53 Because this is a straight-ahead Marvel movie, presumably. It's not a parody of Marvel movies. I'm surprised this isn't Midnight Sons. Maybe it will be. Yeah, maybe, but that would be a safer launch for a series of characters. I mean... They'd have to get a new blade. We'll talk about it later.
Starting point is 00:47:06 They'd need a blade. But you could do a blade, ghost rider, whatever witch they have on it at the moment. I can't remember. Scarlett Witches in Midnight Sun sometimes? I can't remember. I feel like there is a witch. Generally not, no. Yeah, there is a witch on it, though, right?
Starting point is 00:47:21 You could get magic. Magic. Magic could be in it. He's got a magic sword. He bought that bear and that movie about a bear. Correct. I mean, who knows how... Wolverine?
Starting point is 00:47:28 We'll be talking about... That'd be good. Just put Wolverine in. Wolverine in it. It's fine. Yeah, I... But I think it's because it's Ryan Reynolds, then they're like, oh, we can sell this. Yeah, of course. Yeah, of course. I mean, they're both at the top of their game monetarily because they're, you know,
Starting point is 00:47:43 because it's Deadpool and Wolverine guy and then also Project Halmerry, right, Gosling. That, I mean, that is probably a surefire hit, I guess. Yes, absolutely. I say, with no conviction at all. This will be interesting, though, because it's not, you know, it's not a, it's not a, it's not a hugely popular character and an Agents of Shield guy
Starting point is 00:48:03 That still feels pretty niche Now in the present in the present day So the witch is Victoria Montessy Alright man Who's um she's got dark old powers All right all right man But normally but yeah So you got ghost rider
Starting point is 00:48:17 One of them Whichever one Blade Morbius Sometimes the Punisher is there for some reason Hannibal King You sure That's Ryan Reynolds That's right
Starting point is 00:48:27 And Deadpool, we get Deadpool on the game. Sometimes a Doctor Strange. You could do a moon night, Elsa Bloodstone, there you go. Where Wolf Fight? Yeah, there's a, there's a Wong, yeah, you can put a bunch of these. Yeah. And Wolverine. And Wolverine, obviously.
Starting point is 00:48:39 Who I think is in the game. Yeah. Oh, there was a Wolverine trailer. And Spider-Man's in the game as well. Yeah. Okay, so for people who don't recall, the original ghost writer is Johnny Blaze. He sells his soul to the devil to save his father's life. To get abs.
Starting point is 00:48:56 And get abs and then he gets bonded to a demon and then he has a big flaming demon bike. Yep. And that was Nicholas Cage in the first two movies. Do you think this is Johnny Blaze again? I think it is. I think it is. Because I think Agents and Shield still counts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:10 And they haven't done Johnny Blaze in the MCU. Yeah. Or have they hinted to Johnny Blaze in the MCU? Don't know. I don't think so. But the second option is the second, the 1990s ghost writer, which is Danny Ketch. If they did that, if they made this guy Danny Ketch, then you could have Nicholas. Cage return as Johnny Blaze because subsequently when the 90s ghost writer debuted, people were
Starting point is 00:49:33 like, what happened to Johnny Blaze and he came back as Blaze. I don't know if you remember that. Blaze. So he was just Johnny Blaze again, but he still had some sort of hell powers. He could summon hellfire and put it in a shotgun shells. Do you remember this? Vague. He had a robot eye at one point. Why do you even need that? I don't know. But then they're like, yeah, he's just ghost writer again. I think then they got Johnny Blaze, but they gave him Danny Catchers Demon. And Speaking of Clayface, I think obviously they did Robbie Reyes as new Ghost Rider where he's, you know, he's got a car, he's more like a ghost driver. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:50:07 And his catchphrases, hey, let's go for a nice drive to hell. What? Yeah. That doesn't sound that nice. But now when Ghost Rider on a motorcycle shows up in the Marvel universe in the comics, it's a bit vague. Yeah, it's always like which one is this? Who cares?
Starting point is 00:50:21 It's like, Clayface. It's like, oh yeah. Oh, yeah. One of them, all of them? One of them. It's not the cowboy one. That was Sam Elliott. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:28 Well, apparently Johnny Blaze is in Agent of Shield. He's in one episode. Oh, okay. And at some point, it says Blaze was witness escaping hell by Shield agent Phil Colson. Oh, Phil saw it, did he? And I think... We're just going to just going to trust Phil, are we? And he pulls Robbie Rays out of a car accident and transfers the spirit of vengeance into him.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Oh, okay. So you do see him, but you don't see an actor. Oh, here we go. R.S.S. Marvel Studios. Kevin Fire you on whether Ryan Gosling will pay Johnny Blaze or Danny Kat. Here we go. I am going to let Ryan reveal what he wants to reveal when he wants to reveal it. And what he wanted to reveal today is he's playing Ghost Rider.
Starting point is 00:51:04 So we don't know. Interesting. Yeah. Because I feel like now we've got Nicholas Cage back working for Marvel that he's spider noir. He could show up as Blaze. Yeah. You know? So do you think also Ryan Reynolds, because if they go by the MCU rules, he already exists.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Right. So do they do want a guy who goes, I don't understand this? And then he has to understand it. Understand it. Which is what he did in Project Hail Mary? Yeah, or do you just get a guy who's like, I've been doing this a while. I know what I'm doing. I like that.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Yeah. But I also like a guy's like, I don't understand it. Because I don't understand it. Right. Well, how do you think I feel a guy who understands it all? You know, if anything I understand it too much. It's been everything boring to you, I guess, I'd imagine, right? Yeah, it's boring.
Starting point is 00:51:43 It's not fun. Yeah, yeah. Oh, it's a guy bonded with a demon from hell. He's got a demon bike. I get, I'm bored. It's a demon bike? Sometimes. It's got a demon in the bike?
Starting point is 00:51:52 Yeah, in the petrol tank. Yeah. Sloshing around. Sloshing around, yeah, yeah, yeah. So what is also interesting about this? This is going to be written by Jonathan Tropper, who is the creator of Banshee, a show that you may be liked and saw.
Starting point is 00:52:05 I like Banshee. And also your friends and neighbors, a show you may be liked or so. I didn't see it. But you liked it. And he also wrote, here's some movies he wrote. You ready for this? Yes, I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Starfighter, Starfighter. Haven't seen it. Matchbox the movie? No. Really? Yeah. Come on, man. I don't know what to tell you.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Wow. The wrecking crew? I kind of like the wrecking crew. That's a fun movie. I'd watch another of those. Would you watch The Adam Project? He also wrote that. This is Sean Levy's, mate.
Starting point is 00:52:32 That's what's happened here. That is what's happened here, yeah. This is nepotism. Mate's nepotism. Yeah, absolutely. Speaking of nepotism. Mate's nepotism. The other day we were like,
Starting point is 00:52:41 who's Christopher Nolan's casting director? Yep. Because I'm always like, because I'm always like he's got a good... What's his mate's nepotism? It's John Papsidera, and he has cast nearly all of Nolan's feature films from Memento onwards.
Starting point is 00:52:55 He also cast Bloodshot, which is why Guy Pearce is in Bloodshot. Bloodshot's a bad movie. That's what I'm saying, but Guy Pearce is in Memento. Yeah. And they're probably had a nice time, so they're like, I'll cast him in Bloodshot. He'll do any old crap. As Bloodshot's boss. He did the Time Machine.
Starting point is 00:53:10 Yeah. Surely he'll do Bloodshot boss. That's right. I don't know. I'm not about that Bloodshot movie, actually. You don't think it was good? I don't think it was good. And I think I said that at the time.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Interesting. I still think that. I think I probably said it's mankind's crowning achievement at the time. I still stand by that. Interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, anyway, see how this goes. Do you know what the release day for this is?
Starting point is 00:53:31 No. 2028. Ooh, the whole thing. Well, they don't want to date things because sometimes they get embarrassed. Yeah. Because they have to move them. Yeah, sometimes, yeah, I have to start filming. I haven't written any script or anything.
Starting point is 00:53:42 You don't need to write a script. You could just use the script from Matchbox the movie. Matchbox, the car, but just bikes. Hey, we were friends. We were in the Ghost Rider Club back in the day, but then now we're grown up, and life's pretty boring. We all work in a... We have to do a heist.
Starting point is 00:53:59 We have to do a heist. Well, good. I'm a ghost rider now. And my dad died, but it's okay because he's in hell and I can talk to him in hell because I'm ghost rider now so I can visit him in hell.
Starting point is 00:54:10 I'm proud of you, son, because you're ghost rider. You could get me out of hell, yeah? No. All right. No. It's only room for one on this bike, so.
Starting point is 00:54:18 But it's a big bike, son. Yeah, but I don't want to. Who would you bring back? Is it Eva Mendez? who was an original ghostwriter as Johnny Cage or Blazes. And now she's married to Brian Gossley. That's what I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Whoa! That's what I'm telling you though because I said it first. I don't think that's true. No. Play the tape back. I'm Nick Mason. I'm even whatever. Mendez.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Damn. I got done. You got done like a dinner, brother. And you nearly said Eva Mendez, which would have been wrong. But you did it. He said the right thing. That's right.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Yeah. Movie sucks. That first goes right. It's not very good. Yeah, it's not very good. Alas. You like,
Starting point is 00:54:59 you like the same moment. It's also very obvious here. I've never seen to be. You don't want the second one. I quite like the second one. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Well, speaking of second one, oh yeah. Or should I say, third one or second one. Okay. David Johnson. You can say whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:55:13 He's going to be playing the next Black Panther. That's pretty cool. But not Tachala number one. Tachala number two. Chala number two. Little to Chala. He's a boy,
Starting point is 00:55:22 who I guess is getting aged up. It's going to get aged up in Secret Wars or in that Palace of Memories or whatever, the Spirit World of Memories. I'm in Parath Palace of Memories. So Ryan Cougal, who's coming back to direct Black Panther 3. Okay. So he cast the new Tichala after seeing Johnson in The Long Walk. That's a great movie and he's really good. He's also great in Alien Romulus.
Starting point is 00:55:44 If you're like, oh, I don't like the set of this because he's a computer nerd. Well, you didn't see the second half of Alien Romulus. Yeah, he was cool. Or he was cool. Or you didn't see The Long Walk where he was cool. He was cool in that too. Yeah. I think this is great casting.
Starting point is 00:55:56 I agree. I think this guy's awesome. There's a movie that he came out that came out earlier this year called Waste Man, or was it, 2025, which is apparently incredible that he's in. It's also got the guy who played young President Snow. Young President Snow. Tom Blythe. He's Clayface, is he not? No, you're thinking of Tom DeLong.
Starting point is 00:56:15 I am thinking of Tom DeLong. From Blink 122. Yeah. Yeah, I'm always thinking about him. So the guy from F1. Where are you? I'm always thinking. That's what I've always think about Tom DeLong.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Where is he? That's what he thinks of you. Yeah. Good. Good. We're on the same page then. That's good. So, Dempson Idris was rumoured for...
Starting point is 00:56:33 That's true. ...and I remember there being... It was probably fake. But like some concept data, that's probably fake. Also, Ryan Gosling. He was in the running for it. He was. He could have been Black Panther.
Starting point is 00:56:42 I agree. Yeah. Again, Ryan Cougal is going to direct, who directed the last two. Leticia Wright will return, who's also current Black Panther. And we'll be in the Avengers movies. Winston Duke will return. Love that. Love that. And this is going to be out December 15th of 2028.
Starting point is 00:56:58 So this is post-secret wars, which makes sense how they could age up or use time travel or dimensions to bring this guy out. Because he's 32 at time of recording. Whoa, I thought you were little, Tichella. How are you Black Panther now? Well, time travel and dimensions, I guess. I use time travel.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Time travel. You've seen all the cool stuff we have in Wakanda? We use some of that. I'm happy about it. We actually used their high technology, but also our spirituality. I didn't make me big. I'm big now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:23 We actually replicated the Zaltar machine from the movie Big using our spirituality but also Wakanda technology and also Vibranium. Replicated because the big machine actually exists in the MCU or they watched the movie and thought, we can be something like, we're watching the movie Big. We watched the movie big and we're like, what if that were real? And then I could be big.
Starting point is 00:57:40 All right. And I did. And here I am. That's what happened. That's exactly right. Yeah. Yeah. Do you think this is better than just doing a recast or having a new act?
Starting point is 00:57:49 No. No, it was a waste. of time is what it was. This is this big loop. Yeah. To, uh, I mean, it was so sudden and tragic. Also, I believe Chadwick Boseman said, you should just recast this. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:01 I guess he probably did. Yeah. I think, yeah, he understood like the importance of that role. I mean, I think the problem is that the tragedy occurred and then I think everybody panicked. Yeah. Or they were like, you know, and, and all these characters, so many, you know, high profile characters in, in fiction have been recast all the time and nobody has a problem
Starting point is 00:58:20 with that. James Bond is always a different guy and nobody has a problem with it except when it was Daniel Craig and they were like, look at this James Blonde guy. What a dumb ass. He's wearing a life preserver vest. What a coward. Obie falls in the water and he drowns. You know, they all said that.
Starting point is 00:58:35 They said that. I think we all said that. We said that at the time. We still say it. That's right. I don't know. I think it's a... I think they would have copped a massive backlash if they immediately recast him though.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Yeah, that's probably true. Yeah. Because otherwise they probably would have had to have done a big PR too aware. And I guess if they just... Well, he said recast it. I guess if they got damson Idris at the time or, you know, someone comparable that, people, they would have copped a lot of flack for doing that immediately. I mean, impossible role to be.
Starting point is 00:59:01 But I guess this way you can step into and be like, well, it's not. But it will be. I mean, it is. And subsequently, he'll just be appearing as Black Panther. And everybody would like, hey, Black Panther. Yeah. It's good to see you again, Black Panther. Just like when we see new Captain America.
Starting point is 00:59:14 It's the same, like, it is to some degree the same concept of papering over. Like, you know, when. original Loki died. And then they brought back Loki for the TV series Loki. And he just looked at a bunch of TVs with his life on it. And he went, it's like I was there. And now I have the same character development as previous Loki,
Starting point is 00:59:32 so I'm Loki now. Like, they're just hoping nobody remembers that. That's what I do when I watch TV. I go, that's me. That's right, exactly. I'm He-Man. I'm Bart Simpson. Nice.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Yeah. Nice. But you had a cow, man. Yeah, I did. That's the thing, isn't it? So you're not the same. I guess in the sense, we are different. Does anybody remember Bart Simpson's catchphrase don't have a cow man?
Starting point is 00:59:53 Of course people remember it who are our age or dead. Yeah, I guess that's true. That's true. Or it's like, what's the other, what's the other famous one where they're just like? To eat my shorts? No, I was talking about characters being just accelerated into their present moment. Oh, there would be. There's definitely another one.
Starting point is 01:00:10 So you're talking about. Oh, they're going to do. No, I was just a hypothetical one. If they ever bring back Don Chedal as Rody, they're going to be like, I remember all the stuff that happened when I was. I looked at TV. I looked at the TV. I looked at the scroll doing all my stuff and I'm like, I remember that. Oh yeah, because you could see each other's mind or whatever. Yeah, I saw his mind. It's all right.
Starting point is 01:00:27 Yeah, it's all right. You think I wasn't there at Tony Stark's funeral because that was a scroll? Well, I saw his mind. So it's fine, actually. They're just hoping we won't remember. And that'll be the same thing. If we, in fact, get more Black Panther movies and he'll be in subsequent Avengers movies, they're just like, they want people to be like, that's Black Panther.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Yeah. And it's Tachala. We're calling him to Tachala on your left or whatever. Are you talking to me? Or to Charla the second, which is me? Which one is that? Yeah. Do you want to go into that weird dimension where it's heaven and we hang out at a tree?
Starting point is 01:01:00 Okay. Michael Boy Jordan might be there. He might be there. I would love to see Michael B. Jordan in a dream. Well, he's not here this week. He's in the server verse. Oh, no. He's in Space Jam 2, a new legacy.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Oh, no. This week he is, yes. It's a good movie. Speaking of Caravan of Garbage this week is Lunatune's back in action, and then next week is... One of the worst movies I've seen, I reckon. Shocking. We'll talk about it. But I think we're going to get a lot of flack for that.
Starting point is 01:01:23 Good. Because we were not kind to that movie. Because it's not good. It's not good. I agree with you. Oh, well, when I saw it, I thought it was, I watched it every week. You were 12. You're a moron.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Yeah. I'm talking to you and Mason. I know. Thanks. Okay, so we also got last week a trailer for Avengers Doomsday. That's right. Where Thor's doing a serious one. How did you feel about this trailer?
Starting point is 01:01:47 Did it just feel like seeing things we've already seen and a guy explaining why we should be worried about this thing we've never seen before. I enjoyed some of this trailer. I won't lie to you. Obviously, we got Thor doing a big, he's doing, he's replicating the big jump. Yeah. Did he used to almost work for him before? Well, it didn't.
Starting point is 01:02:03 Half worked. Sometimes it was. Try to kill Thanos with it didn't work. Yeah. Got pretty close. Yeah. But this time it doesn't even half work. Against Dr. Derm, are you kidding me?
Starting point is 01:02:13 He's magic. He's doing a magic. He's barely even flinching or looking. Yeah. This trailer feels so long. far away at this point. Like it feels... The movie or... No, from when it came out.
Starting point is 01:02:24 It was like a week ago. Oh yeah, totally. Boy, this is old news now. Definitely. How do you feel about doom being this unstoppable? Even Thor's like, with all face threats. Mm-hmm. Sure.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Me and you and Paul Rudd? Yep, that's right. With this one, it's just different. I love being, I love, I love Paul Rudd in this trailer being like, well, we're going to be fighting Kang? No. Well, I thought this guy called Kang. I was in the microvers.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Shut up. And I was in the micro, he said he was a big threat. Shut up. But I guess I just, I guess I just, punched him a bit. Yeah, you stomped him out. I stopped him and then he, did he shrink into a tiny little ball or something or disappear?
Starting point is 01:02:57 Dude, I don't know, we weren't there. Did he? He was, he was, I actually, Shut up! No, I actually defeated one of the most powerful beings on all the multiverse. He said he was. Yeah, did he? Yeah, and then I did stop him.
Starting point is 01:03:08 Oh, it was Michelle Fiver there too, was she? Yeah, Michelle, beautiful actor, Michelle Fiver was there? Yeah, actually, and he said I was cool. Did he? Bill Murray. Yeah, in the microverse. Mini micro Bill Murray. Yeah, I met that guy, a cool guy.
Starting point is 01:03:23 He was from the good place. He was there. Oh, did he? Yeah, and he famously a funny guy. He said, I was funny also. Really? Yeah. Shut up.
Starting point is 01:03:30 Yeah. And my daughter said she was proud of me. In the microverse? In the microverse. Yep. I know none of you guys were there. So you can say it now. She's here.
Starting point is 01:03:40 Or she's not? She's got a helmet on. She can't say anything. I know all this happened in the microverse and you guys weren't there, but I swear it was true. Well, now we're fighting Doom. Shut up. Oh, Rudd, shut up.
Starting point is 01:03:51 The thing is, like, Thor having his weapon stopped, we saw that Ragnerock. Yeah. Like, Captain America coming back and using the hammer, we saw that. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? It's like, it does feel, you know what this trailer's for? This trailer's for people who didn't watch anything after endgame. That's probably true.
Starting point is 01:04:08 It's just, let's go back. Oh, I haven't seen Captain America in seven years, and I didn't watch any of the TV shows. Okay. That's what they've done here. Well, it's probably going to work, isn't it? I mean, and there's some payoff for people who have been keeping up. But I also think for a lot of people it doesn't really matter. Absolutely, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:04:22 And we see a mystique versus a black widow, or a black widow versus a black widow. Oh, yes. Again, Florence Pugh is a better black widow. The second black widow is better than the first. That is probably true. Yeah. It's got more depth. True.
Starting point is 01:04:34 What else do we see? We see a gamblet versus a Shang Chi. Gamblet versus Shang Chi. Who hasn't been in a movie in five years also? It's true, yeah. That's wild. He's been working those rings, though. Yeah, he's been working them.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Um, Wakondins, Namor. Namor. Fantastic Force. plenty of gaps in the, we've got people standing around, we also got plenty of gaps. Do all those gaps in. Where characters have been digitally erased. I think there's a scene where everybody's standing,
Starting point is 01:04:57 I think on a deck of a ship or something, I don't know. And I'm pretty sure that Doom is going to be in between the Fantastic Four. There's going to be a bit where he's like, where we're actually friends. Or is it Latvarian witches? Oh. Because I don't know if you've seen the outfits of the Latvarian witches. Of course I have.
Starting point is 01:05:12 They put a Latvarian witch in the Comic Con Hall H or whatever. And then every day it changed color. Did it? What does it mean? Who cares? But like, do you think it's going to be a person of like, oh my God, Scarlet Witch is here? Yeah. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:05:25 I think there's going to be a series of them. Yeah. There are also a bunch of leaks out here that there's like a page of leaks. I haven't read any. Apparently explains the entire plot of this. I've deliberately avoided it. So maybe we're just speculating wildly and we are definitely wrong. But I would say because this movie is based loosely around the Secret Wars event from about
Starting point is 01:05:43 2015 in the comic books, we know roughly what's happening here. Doom will have some people who. who are on his, some characters we know who will be on his side. Dr. Strange, for example. And the Latvirian witches, it might be a series of them and they are like magic users we recognize. So maybe Sylvie might be there, clear, Scarlet Witch, potentially the ancient one.
Starting point is 01:06:07 A lot of people are like, okay, the colors definitely represent characters from the past, maybe. I also think, like, something that I do think is quite innovative in this movie. which we haven't seen before is potentially characters we like and have, you know, seen in previous movies that are on doom's side just because they think he's right. Yeah. I think that will be interesting.
Starting point is 01:06:29 That would be interesting. As opposed to like he's cast a spell or blah, blah, blah, or he's got all... Do you think he's doing this though? Or do you think someone else is doing it? Because in the comic, he's not the one crashing the multiverses together. He saves. Yeah. Well, see that's the same.
Starting point is 01:06:42 Some of different realities. I mean, I think there is probably like a secondary, there'll be a secondary type antagonist, I think, or someone we think is the main villain. Right. But it's obviously going to be Doom. Like the idea behind it is probably like, I think the setup for this is probably Do you. It's the Mysterio.
Starting point is 01:06:59 Yeah, Doom has come to the Fantastic Four and he's saying, okay, well, the universe is, the multiverse is falling apart and only with your help, I can help put it back together. But obviously his ulterior motive is to recreate the universe in his own image. That's going to be the, that's going to be the end of the final act of this movie. is going to be, you know, oh, it's the beyonder or it's molecule man or whoever it is is trying to destroy the multiverse, only I can save it. And then he's like, surprise, idiots. You're all dumb idiots.
Starting point is 01:07:29 You got tricked by Dr. Doom, a clearly evil man. I don't know, man. Last time we saw a guy who could shoot green smoke and electricity was Mysterio. And from what I remember, the first half of that movie, he was very helpful. He was very helpful and charming. Charming. So, yeah, I think the second trailer, which... which leaked in very poor quality.
Starting point is 01:07:50 That's a more interesting trailer to me. That first one felt very just... Though I watched show my son, and when Captain America turned up, he was like, amazing. I think he'll find his name is Steve Rogers, and there's already a Captain America. Oh, yeah, there's already a Captain America. You're right. Let me ask you this, so, James. Bad hair, yes.
Starting point is 01:08:04 Yes. Wick? I don't know. Okay. It's a bit longer than his normal hair. But my question would be, is that actually Steve Rogers? I think it is. I think it is.
Starting point is 01:08:12 I think there probably will be an evil Steve Rogers, because I think there's... The rumor is... Stevell Rogers. There's multiple... Stevell, the weevil Rogers. James, I'm going to need you to sit in that for a moment. Stephen... Steve'll...
Starting point is 01:08:24 The weevil Rogers. And he's the evil one. And he's not a weevil. Just called me the weevil, he'll say. Okay. Buddy, is what he'll say. That's what he'll say. That's what he'll say.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Okay, I'm sitting in that. Because obviously... Why are you making me sit at this? I don't know. But the, obviously, the idea that... It's like sitting in an upside-down port-aloo. Yeah. The idea that Mjolner returns to him.
Starting point is 01:08:43 It's like, well, he's... And Steve Rogers, but maybe somebody's changed that magic. Sure. Because maybe it's evil, Steve Rogers. Weevil. The Weevil. Because, of course, we see the scene where Thor fights Dr. Doom. Maybe in that moment, Dr. Doom uses a little bit of his Dr. Doom magic.
Starting point is 01:08:59 And he changes the enchantment on Mialna. So even evil people can hold it. Well, also, we don't know. That's the Mionni, which is together. So which version is it even? I think it's the reforged one. I mean, because it got reforged, but it was all cracked and it can go into pieces. Yeah, I think it's that one.
Starting point is 01:09:15 But is this the version that Steve Rogers was traveling through time with? No, I think it's the post-love and Thunder one. And they're not going to mention that it was, does he, yeah, I don't know. Weevil. Steve-L the Weevil. That's what I'm saying. I'm sticking with it. I think it is just Steve Rogers.
Starting point is 01:09:29 Yeah, it seems like Steve Rogers. But then there will be, I think there will be variance on Weevil. Terrific. Yeah. Good. Terrific and good. Terrific and good. Anything else?
Starting point is 01:09:37 Let me think. Well, in the other trailer, we can talk about this. Sue Storm's talking about how Doom used to be cool and fun and cool and good. Yeah. She says all of... We called him cool and fun and good doom. But he's not about that. But he's saying all of...
Starting point is 01:09:51 We said doom and gloom's gone away. Dr. Doom, he's here to stay. And then we'd have a nice time at a pool party. He's shooting electricity, I don't know. Yeah, he was doing that, yeah. Which is bad around a pool. Great. All of you have lived stolen lives now, you must give it back.
Starting point is 01:10:03 And Thor says, I swear you were beg for hell long before I grant it. And Doom says hell answers to me for I am doom. Because his mum's in hell. His mum is in hell. Yeah. There's a poster or an image where we... see Dr. Dermann, he's in front of a mural and it's a woman and a child. Is that his wife and child or is that his mom and him?
Starting point is 01:10:21 Mummy's boy. Yeah, Mommy's boy. Get over it. I mean, I feel like, because she says in that second trailer, oh, he had everything taken from him. If he lost his mom, I don't think that's enough to collapse the universe. Yeah. I think wife and child is probably, and then he's seeing different realities and seeing
Starting point is 01:10:37 how people are cheating death and marrying alternate versions of people they used to know and whatever, Loki's back and whatever. Exactly. I don't like this. Yeah, I think probably the idea being, and again, you know, they're working with what they have in previous movies. Like how do we funnel this into Secret Wars? I suspect the idea is something like, well, Steve Rogers going back in time
Starting point is 01:10:58 and getting with Peggy, that is not. It's upsetting. It's upsetting. Loki being alive. Loki being alive. Some other stuff, some time travel stuff. Deadpool and Wolverine probably. That's the X-Men probably messing with time in days of future past.
Starting point is 01:11:12 I mean, all those movies are broken. The idea being, of course, that all that manipulation is breaking the multiverse, and so Doom's got to fix it. How do you feel about seeing the X-Men, seeing a Cyclops and whatever? Finally, in his accurate costume. Good. It's cool. I mean, we've got him the taser, but, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:30 And he becomes like, oh. I'm a million. Patrick Stewart's like, I'm also a million. Then Kelsey Graham is there, but he's not in the trailer. That's true. Yeah. Uh, so... Where's Storm?
Starting point is 01:11:44 Yeah, where is Storm? Where's Jean Grey? I think Storm's in it. Yeah, I think Storm's in it. Oh, yeah? Yeah, maybe she's a leper in, which she could be. That could be. She's magicish, sort of.
Starting point is 01:11:55 Some more is back? Yeah. He's there too. I mean, they want to do the Sue Storm. They want to have at least a look, right? There's also Reed Richards in the second trailer, screaming at Durham being like, what are you up to? Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Do you do something? Do you do this? No. Do you still a baby or whatever? Hmm. Well, I don't know if this is in the leaks. But a lot of the people, are affected here of have children.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Maybe he's like, maybe he took Thor's kid and Captain America's kid. Oh, yeah, okay. Well, they need somebody. I think the, the doom is going to need something like an energy source to, you know, make the changes to the multiverse he needs. And we've got, obviously we've got Franklin Richards, who is a little baby or a little boy who has incredible reality alteration power. So maybe that.
Starting point is 01:12:38 You write Thor's daughter, Thor and Gore's daughter. Yeah. There's also the dude from Thunderbolts. Oh, yes, entry, yeah. Who's infinite and can do anything? Yes. Yeah. But also, like, in the Secret War story, Doom takes Reed Richards' children and passes them off as his own.
Starting point is 01:12:54 So maybe that's what he's doing in the next one. Because his wife and child were killed, maybe. Or whatever happened in that time. Oh, yeah, yeah, totally. Yeah. Also, Haley Outlaw's back, which I like. Was she? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:05 She's on a panel. She's on a panel. Oh, she's on a panel. She's on a panel. That's cool. That would be a good fun time to tell. she's not in the movie though. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:13:15 She's like, oh, I'm probably in. No, you're not actually. We're trying to manufacture a fun viral moment and it's you fired. Oh. Fam Kid Jansen has famously been saying, I'm not in this, I wish I was in it. They didn't even ask me, she could be a Latvarian witch.
Starting point is 01:13:26 She could be a Liberian witch, it's true. Just saying. Yeah. So you have to kind of look at the, because it's often difficult because sometimes you don't see the interview or hear the interview, you just read the text. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:36 And sometimes it's difficult to know whether they're like, I'm not in this. I don't even know. Or they didn't even ask me. Or if it's like, I don't know, they didn't ask me. And I'm mad about it, quite frankly. Why Marsden and not me?
Starting point is 01:13:50 Marsden's cypsock is boring. Yeah. Yeah. Give him something to do. And me and McKellin's just, we're... I'll give you that energy. I'd give you good energy.
Starting point is 01:14:01 I'm Famke Jansen. I was Bond. In Bond. Yeah. Sex. Kevin Fikey said this. He said, we want to do two things. First, to bring some storylines to a close.
Starting point is 01:14:11 And two, we'd like to make money. Give us more of that money. We want that money we used to have. You used to be, we put some money out, then we get heaps of money back. It was easy. Now we're putting heaps of money out. We're not getting as much money back. The money we have is not the same. I mean, at least we're not the DCU. Yeah. For now. For now, it could happen. Yeah. Easily. Where's my money? Give him money. I might even have to go to the reserve money under my hat. He has money under his hat, sweaty money. Yeah, he's got a 50 under the hat just in case for emergencies. A $50 million. Yeah, for cab fare and stuff. Or if he needs to pay, you know, um, Chris,
Starting point is 01:14:42 Sam's worth? Yeah, he might have to. Whatever. He said, first, to bring story to a close that started a long time ago before Iron Man, including the original X-Men characters, and secondly, to simultaneously set the stage for the future. He said... He's pretty much confirmed it's going to be a soft reboot, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:58 Yeah. He said, we were just in the Marvel series meeting, planning movies all the way up to 2042. Whether we can make it 242... 2042? Yeah, 242. Who knows? Good luck.
Starting point is 01:15:07 Will it be those movies? Who knows? But this is how we approach and plan the vast. amount of potential stories in the comics. Although James at least will have a podcast up until 2042. That's true. Of us going, I don't know. Weekly planet, 2042.
Starting point is 01:15:20 Why don't even know? What is this? Imagine keeping all this in our head in 2042. The glass of content we'd have over the next 16 years. In addition to all the things we already knew. Wow. Which is nothing. Which was the Shang-Chi post-credits?
Starting point is 01:15:35 What happened? Which one did Brie Larson have the short haircut and the Marvel? What? Also, the air is full of poison. That's why we're vomiting all the time. Yeah, it is full with poison. God. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:51 What would we be then? We'd be nearly 60. Oh, all right. Is that right? Well, we'll stay relevant in our 60s, James. I don't think so. No. God, we're going to start now as well.
Starting point is 01:16:01 I'm going to start doing more crunches. You got to do crunches. Because I've got to be, I'm going to be like, disturbed. I'm going to be disturbingly fit, old man. You know what I agree. Yeah, it's probably time to start. I want to be like, because I think it's going to happen. I've got to be like.
Starting point is 01:16:12 that cool Santa vibe. Yeah. You know, like Santa, but I've got like the shaved sides of the hair. Yeah. And I've got sunglasses on. And I look like Santa, but I've got a leather jacket on. Your skin's unpleasant. My skin's unpleasant.
Starting point is 01:16:23 You're doing too much TRD. I'm like a boiled frame with veins. Yes. Oh, my God. Dangerous looking veins, you know. Like if I brushed something too hard, it would burst. You know, ugh. But I've got to be like that.
Starting point is 01:16:40 We've got to be fit. Weekly Play, 402, Dangerous Vane edition. Dangerous Vines. All right. Yeah. God. I can't even...
Starting point is 01:16:52 I don't even... I just... So many people I know would be dead. Like, I can't even picture. They're planning movies that far in advance, and I just can't even comprehend it. Like, it's, yeah, it's beyond me. But that's Kevin Fagie.
Starting point is 01:17:07 It is. He's always been like... And then maybe we'll have finished the script by now, by then, by then. Maybe we'll have finished some of the script. or what made me finish the scripted Doomsday by 2042. Got him, got him, got him. I understand the scene of all before.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Who cares? No buildup. I get that and I agree. But I think there are people who would just be like, I'll see Avengers. I like the last one. Yeah, exactly. So I think that's what they're...
Starting point is 01:17:32 That's the bread and butter. That is the bread and butter and I think the future of the Marvel universe for the most part is. I'll see this. The diehards will see all the stuff in the middle. Yep. But people will be like,
Starting point is 01:17:43 Avengers mean... the biggest action set pieces and the most number of characters and the biggest stars and all that sort of stuff. Who's going to do the most karate? Probably Shang Chi. With a little bit of gamblets. Whoa, gamblets there.
Starting point is 01:17:56 That's right. How long's he been in the regular X-Men universe? I guess since Deadpool put him back in it. Yeah. Because he didn't exist in it before then? Taylor Kitch was there. Yeah. He doesn't count.
Starting point is 01:18:08 He doesn't count. As an actor. You know he listens to this show? Not true. No, he does. and I know he listens and I like upsetting him. Damn. You can keep up that energy till 2042.
Starting point is 01:18:19 You know I will. Wow. I have to outlive my nemesis, Taylor Kitch, big fan of the show. That's right. Again, my son liked it, which I think speaks volumes. Oh, yeah. Because he's the common man. That's true, actually.
Starting point is 01:18:31 And also, the trailer is doing pretty big numbers. Big numbers. But again, we'll say. And also, Spider-Man acts as a trailer and a lead into this. And Spider-Man will probably, if it's good, crack a billy, if it's good. That's right. But, you know, I don't know anything. And I'm not going to learn.
Starting point is 01:18:47 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Well, speaking to not knowing anything. You've finally absorbed that wisdom grasp. I've always been like this. Yeah. I've always been like this, basically. I don't know anything and that's bad. But I guess you crashed Comic-Con.
Starting point is 01:19:00 Was it Deadpool? If you could pick a character... Was it Deadpool? Who comes in and goes, excuse me, if you got any room for Deadpool in this movie, what character would you say would do that? Was it Phil Colson? Was it Phil Colson?
Starting point is 01:19:13 No, it's been... Hello, I'm Phil Colson. I've technically been dead in the MCU for years. I'm still in continuity, but maybe not. Separate universe, different timeline. I don't know. Maybe I'm back. 14 years since the last first Avengers movie.
Starting point is 01:19:26 Wow. Since the last first Avengers movie? Last first Avengers movie. He's been a great denim deadpool suit. Okay. Now, here's the... So one thing I maybe do know about these supposed leaks. Supposed?
Starting point is 01:19:36 Supposed. Supposed leaks. Okay. Alleged leaks. And which again, sorry if you're avoiding spoilers. But again, I don't know if... this is true, is that apparently in the opening sequence of Doomsday, a Deadpool in a gray costume kills the Toby Maguire Spider-Man.
Starting point is 01:19:54 That's what I've heard. So this is a reference to that. I saw some people go, oh, this pretty much confirms it. I think he's doing a bit. That's why he's in the gray suit. They've gone whip up a gray suit and then we'll make fun of the leaks by, unless, of course, it is true. And they're scrambling.
Starting point is 01:20:09 I'm going to be real with you. I would think that. That would be hilarious. Why would he kill the Toby McGuire Spider-Man? I don't know. I guess the different universes are fighting. But also, I don't mean hilarious because, like, oh, this would be funny. I think it would be at hilarious because people would be really upset.
Starting point is 01:20:24 That would be a good opening call. The different universes are fighting. Sometimes they're fighting too much. You're going to see this in a minute, but Tober McGuire, Spider-Man gets murdered. That's right. Yeah. They realized they couldn't take him on PR because he's dating a 20-year-old and just doesn't look good. It doesn't look good for the brand.
Starting point is 01:20:40 But he's 22. Or he's dating Doja Cat or something. I don't know. He was dating a different person now. McGuire watch. Yeah. He also likes his podcast. Yeah. Classic behavior from a friend of Leonardo DiCaprio.
Starting point is 01:20:55 Classic behavior. Are all his friends like that? I think so. I think they were in a little club. Yeah. It's called the Matchbox club. Okay. So there was a time interview with Ryan Reynolds and he said, well, if Deadpool becomes
Starting point is 01:21:06 an Avenger and X-Man, where he ends. God, imagine that atmosphere. The time interview with Ryan Reynolds? Yeah, I reckon. Okay, all right. If Deadpool becomes an Avenger or an X-Man, we're at the end. That's wishful fulfillment. We can't give him that.
Starting point is 01:21:18 He's also writing something a little right now that's an ensemble. So people are saying, oh, it seems like he's working on a new Deadpool movie. But as he says, there's a few really deep cuts that are missing from the movies. So I think there's a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics. There's certainly some stuff that I love that Fabian wrote, Fabian Nietzscheza, which is incredible. Jerry Duggan is a friend, an incredible comic book writer. There's stuff.
Starting point is 01:21:42 coming, there'll eventually be another Deadpool movie. All right then. It sounds like an X-Forcey kind of... Yeah, yeah. And that would be the grey suit. For sure. Yeah, nice. I saw a picture of Ryan Reynolds the other day.
Starting point is 01:21:53 He's wearing a watch. Guess how much the watch cost? $9. $800,000. I don't... How? I did not misspeak, James. I did not say $800 to $1,000.
Starting point is 01:22:03 I said $800,000. What's been a $800,000 watch? Plutonium. It's going to melt his hand off. Well, it's worth it. But, like, you... Is it bedeweled? No.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Is it bedazzled? No. Is it made of special metals from the center of the sun? No. The sun is filled with metal, yeah. Just to be clear. Yeah, it's a metal field. We have a metal filled with metal.
Starting point is 01:22:22 Not all suns are filled with metal, but we have a metal filled sun. It's hollow. And there's people that live in it. If you hit it, does it go dong. You better believe it does. Yeah. And they're all like, keep it down in there. Keep it down out there.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Does the watch do the same? Yes. Well, how was a watch worth $800,000, though? Did they explain it to me? How much of that is branding? a lot of it. Like if you took the parts alone, what is,
Starting point is 01:22:46 what is it about that watch? It's complicated inside. It's got a complicated. We're all complicated inside. Then you, my friend, are worth $800,000. We both know that's not true.
Starting point is 01:22:56 But you're worth a million bucks to me, brother. It's much of a muchness, because like, what am I going to do? Cash in myself? Does it, I may as well be worth nothing because I am me.
Starting point is 01:23:07 Anyway, just a thought of like, well, you know, he's clearly made a, he clearly made a bunch off the back end of the, or the front end of that, of the Deadpool franchise and good on him, you know. Oh, and the gin. I don't think if I had that kind of money I would make that purchase, but I guess you'd go crazy, right? At a certain point, you'd be like, I'm running out of things to spend money on, I guess.
Starting point is 01:23:29 I have like, it's either that or a super yacht, and where do you put the super yacht? Recently, I bought an $80-cassio watch, you've seen, and put a, like, and got a red filter put on it. Yeah. And I'm like, I'm like, this makes me really happy. Yeah. Like, it's the cheapest one. watch. Not that I have expensive watches because other watches are probably worth 200 bucks. Yeah, yeah. But it's just like, oh, this is, I like this a lot. This is fun and cool and good.
Starting point is 01:23:51 I don't, I don't think this watch could make me happy other than I could be like, I can sell this. I can sell this and buy another version of me for $800,000. That's right. Just what I'm worth. That's right. Show me this watch. Okay, I'll show it for it. It's this one. It's the FP genre chronometer a resonance. 18 character, uh, red gold. Show me. Okay, so it looks like that. How do you describe my face then? I don't know. I'm unimpressed.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Yeah. Profoundly unimpressed. The red watch. I guess he likes watches. Yeah. God. Anyway, good of him. Probably a really nice guy.
Starting point is 01:24:30 Probably. Or a psychopath. Probably. It's impossible to know. You can be both. Apparently also Ryan Reynolds, he walked the Comic Conflores as Deadpool. And that's funny. I'm a Deadpool.
Starting point is 01:24:41 That's fun. That's fun. People used to do that. Remember when Henry Cavill's like, I'm walking around on Comic Con. You wouldn't even know I'm Henry Cavill. Brian Cranston. I'm dressed as my character from
Starting point is 01:24:50 The League of Big Man or whatever. The League of Big Spy Man. December 18th, Doomsday. Good. And then the following year for the next one. I say good. Oh, he also made a bunch of money from Rexham probably. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 01:25:06 And Gin. A show I've never watched. Correct. Yeah. So Josh Horowitz also spoke to Kevin Feigy, and he asked him about Blaine. He's good for. friend Kevin Feigy.
Starting point is 01:25:13 He's always hanging out with his good friend, Kevin Feiggy said, he feels like a gigantic loser and a failure that we didn't get off the ground with Mahershala, as in the blade movie. I call him the blade. To me, that sounds like this is not happening. 100%. This version with Mahershala Ali now. It's done. It's over.
Starting point is 01:25:35 Kevin Feier, you'll be all right. Yeah, you'll be okay, man. Like one in how many didn't work? And don't forget. Like didn't come out, I should say. Don't forget. You got that $50 million. under the old...
Starting point is 01:25:45 Hatamadu. The old Hatamadu. Just for a rainy day. So big woo's on this Marvel stuff? I think big woo's. All right, we'll say. Yeah. They've certainly wooed me
Starting point is 01:25:54 with their charm. Yeah? And their trailers and stuff. And the $800,000 watches. Yeah, for sure. It's not the purchase so much as like... Don't you think it's like... Optically even?
Starting point is 01:26:05 Like, he seems like a guy who would be aware. Yeah, but I don't think anybody notices. Well, that's probably it, right? I guess. There's only a certain sector of people who would ever know. notice that and they're like, impressive, not bad. And maybe it was a wedding gift.
Starting point is 01:26:17 He's keeping high herology alive. Maybe it's from Blake lively. Maybe it's from Blake lively. Why, does she use her money from a simple favor part two? Okay. Almost certainly. Did you see that one?
Starting point is 01:26:30 Yeah. And? I thought it was all right. It's a bit ridiculous. Bit ridiculous. Well, the movies we like aren't ridiculous. I agree. They're just good movies.
Starting point is 01:26:37 They're good in there for grown men. Good solid movies. For grown men. For grown men. All right. Should we go to the next segment? for growing men? Yes.
Starting point is 01:26:43 What is it? It's what we're reading. What? What? I'm doing nothing. I'm doing it. We're the what's we reading, men. We are the what we're reading, men.
Starting point is 01:26:58 We're talking about what we're reading. I'm just, currently what I'm reading is listings on chrono24.com, the marketplace for watches. Oh, yeah. And we can get an F.P. Jean-chronometer resonance as low as $77,000. If we want to pull our money. That's a hell of a deal. And yet, the top listing costs $4.8 million. That's a hell of a deal.
Starting point is 01:27:20 For the same watch. I don't know why one's special. Does it depend who's been wearing it? I guess so. This one says... I have a thin wrist, amazing. This one says it's been on Ryan Reynolds' dong, is that? And it does a ding-dong because it's got an alarm in it.
Starting point is 01:27:33 Is it still on his dong? No, not currently. Not currently, no. Does it smell like his dong? Probably. Is that good or bad? Come on, man. Grow up.
Starting point is 01:27:44 Grow up. Grow up and also glow up because we have to glow up by the time we're in our 60s. Okay, that's true. We're going to glow up. Okay, so you're looking at Ryan Reynolds' Dong, but what I've been reading
Starting point is 01:27:52 is I've been working my way through King of the Hill season 15. Working my way through the King of the Hill season 15, having a good time. Are you having a good time? I am. I think it's so great. This is the second of the reboot season.
Starting point is 01:28:06 It's not really a re- continuation. It's a continuation. So there was a huge time jump after the season 13. Oh, I see. So Bobby Hill is now. an adult, he runs like a, like a mix of like a Japanese slash Texas barbecue restaurant.
Starting point is 01:28:20 Wait, so is this, is this a time jump from the previous season that just came out? No, no, no, sorry, it's a direct continuation of that. So the time jump, when you say a time jump, you mean it was actual time. Is that, yeah, or probably a bit didn't line up exactly. Oh, yeah, okay. That's probably, yeah, less time than what actually passed. But it's great. It's so good and funny and also down to worth in a lot of ways.
Starting point is 01:28:42 And like the real kind of, there's a real, real. reality to King of the Hill, which like the Simpsons doesn't. Would you say it's got a real Midwest heart to it? Yes. A real down-home American heart? It is, yeah. And they're very like, like even the awful characters are likable. That's true.
Starting point is 01:28:56 It's, you know, and flawed. But also, like, best, like, you know, like Hank Hill, you know, he's a guy who's, he's a certain kind of man. That's so true, isn't it? You know, he's understanding and he's trying to make sense of the world and he's, he's kind, you know, and there's, it's just a really good show. Agreed. And it makes me want to watch the rest of the King of the Hill.
Starting point is 01:29:14 several seasons of which I definitely didn't say because I don't think they all aired here. And I didn't have the... I think he could only get them on Fox 8. Fox 8? Yeah. I hardly know him. But you better believe he ate.
Starting point is 01:29:28 Did he? Yeah. I'm not interested. Fabulous. I'm not interested in that. All right, fine. I would highly recommend new seasons King of the Hell.
Starting point is 01:29:35 I finally watched the movie The Furious, which I mentioned previously, which is an English language for the most part. I love Fast and Furious. No, no, no, no, James, you stupid dumbass, you dumbass idiot. you moron. Let me finish my sentence. It's a movie. Okay. That's the end of the sentence. But then it's a, yeah, it's a Hong Kong action movie. And this is the one that people were like,
Starting point is 01:29:54 oh, this is, this is one of those ones that's going to redefine. This is going to change your life. Hong Kong action and action in general. And it doesn't. Ah, here's the thing. Oh! Well, no, look, the plot is pretty thin on the ground, you know, there's kidnapped orders and whatever and then two guys are got to get them back and blah, blah. What is interesting, I think, is because when I think of the pinnacle of this kind of, you know, action cinema, like martial arts action cinema. I always think of the raid movies and that sort of thing. And their, their kind of selling point is like brutality. You know, the raid too, the famous, the scene I always remember the most is there's a woman
Starting point is 01:30:27 on a subway train and there's a bunch of guys trying to kill her and she's got two hammers. Yeah. And she hammers them all to death and it's pretty brutal. And there are some hammers in this. There are some hammer-based deaths in this. Sure. But this one sort of, its unique selling point, I think, is it's not so much a brutal, but they've like really focused on how like, beletic everything is kind of thing.
Starting point is 01:30:47 Like there's, there's some really interesting well choreographed action sequences that are like, they're focusing a lot on like multiple opponents at once. There's like a two, there's a lot of two on one stuff. Does it feel like, oh, does it feel choreographed in the sense that like it feels mapped out and a little bit. Yeah. But I think in that sense it is very interesting. And so you know, you know how in a lot of action movies, even if there's a two on one fight like the two bad guys will always take their turns kind of thing. That's what I mean. But this is very much like how do you deal with two opponents who are right in your space
Starting point is 01:31:21 right at this moment? There's an action sequence towards the end where it's the two good guys versus two bad guys and obviously the two good guys want to kill the two bad guys and the two bad guys want to kill the two good guys. But also one of the bad guys also wants to kill the other bad guy. So there's like, they're very interesting like ways to play that out. Like everybody's coming at it from. different sort of, you know, planes and like, you know, they clearly have to go.
Starting point is 01:31:47 So it's storytelling in combat. Yeah. So I thought it was, you know. You thought it was all right. It's not going to be in my top ten actually movies of all time, I think. Obviously, that's the Raid 2 and that's a 10, and then at 9 to 1. The Wrecking Men? No, it's, it's red notice, just over and over and over again.
Starting point is 01:32:07 That's a good movie. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's one of the best movies. And Ryan and Reynolds. Ronald Reynolds is in it, and that's how he afforded that big watch. I was going to say... It's really big the watch, by the way. I'm sure it is.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Yeah, it's 14 feet long. I was like, is he in that? I was thinking of red wine. Of course you were thinking of red wine. Because you were thinking of Hot Wheels situations to ban. I love Hot Wheels situations. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:32:30 Well, there's... Did I watch anything else? Did you end up watching Into the Grey Man? In the Grey Man? I stopped halfway through. Oh, wow. This movie you've been talking about for years. But trying to get me to watch.
Starting point is 01:32:41 You couldn't even get... through it. Presumably you watched it for free streaming or whatever. Correct. Yes, that's right. I couldn't finish it. It's so boring. I didn't fucking know.
Starting point is 01:32:51 I knew that already. Thank you for hiding. It's about some... It's one of the nothing guy richy ones. Yeah, it's one of the nothing guy richy ones. Henry Cavill's in it and... Mysterio. Henry Cavill, you don't have to do every mediocre
Starting point is 01:33:05 fucking action movie. Yes, you do. Because eventually age out. You can't do any of them. Yeah, but like, surely he's... would look at Guy Ritchie's like streaming body of work and be like, no, I don't want to be in this. Oh, he did the, but that's the thing that we've talked about this before.
Starting point is 01:33:20 And it's the same with the Sony Spider-Man spin-off movies or whatever. Yeah. Nobody's seeing him, so it doesn't matter. Because he was also in the League of Big Man or whatever. Yeah, but also, the League of Gentlemanly Times and whatever. Yeah, gentlemenly warfare times. Yeah, but like, if Guy Ritchie's like, I'm doing a Cockney-Geezer one, that's the one you do. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 01:33:37 Uh-huh. Because he knows what he's doing and it's not just all, like, shitty action sequences where somebody walks across the top of a truck or whatever and then swings out. It's just Indiana Jones is the secret but it looks way worse, you know? Yeah, they didn't even do that. Where it's like Cockney-Geeze and stuff is like...
Starting point is 01:33:52 Maybe they do it at the end. I didn't get that far, I don't know. Yeah, it's not very good. No, I know. I know, Mason. It's about some gangsters and they've got to move some money or whatever. Oh, no, me, blah, me.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Listen to yourself. You're ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Stop doing this. I won't. You know what he's... I'm eagerly looking forward to his next... his next extravaganza direct to streaming.
Starting point is 01:34:14 Because nobody sees him like, if, Henry... He needs to slow down for a minute. Who, Henry Campbell, Guy Ritchie. No, it's free money, man. Yeah. This is the modern day Irva Bowl. This is the free money. This is the free money glitch.
Starting point is 01:34:26 He's obviously way more talented. You keep doing it until they're like, we don't give you any more money. Yeah, okay. To make movie. So he's also doing, he's doing Viva La Madness, which is coming up. This is Guy Ritchie. So, who's, uh, it's based on the, uh, see, it's a sequel to layer cake.
Starting point is 01:34:42 Okay. But it's got Jason Statham and Vinny Jones. All right, cool. Makes sense. Sky Richie. And he's also got coming up a movie called Wife and Dog. That's also Jason Statham. Got Benito coming up.
Starting point is 01:34:54 I'm the wife and I'm the dog. What's the synopsis of this? Oh, my husband's gone out. I'm just going to go down the shops. I hope nothing happens down the shops. I'm being accosted. I'm being accosted by gangsters on the street while I go down the shops. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:11 I'm going to get revenge. I think that's a good idea. I'm a dog. It's a thriller. Yeah, I know. I've said that. Flight revolves on a bitter succession battle among the wealthy and greedy Fairbank family. Set against the dangerous back, oh, no, it's not dangerous.
Starting point is 01:35:24 Just said against the backdrop of British aristocracy and horse racing world. The story fuels a dangerous web of deceit, murder and betrayal. Sounds like a classic combination of Guy Ritchie gangster lads. The gentleman, etc. And the fancy stuff that he's no good at. Toff shit. Yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 01:35:41 Well, that's what he's in now in real life. Yeah. Being a toff. No, he's got that hat. Oh, like a flat cap, like a piggy blinders hat. Yeah, he would have that hat, wouldn't he? Where'd he get that hat from? That's the only thing he kept in his divorce from Madonna.
Starting point is 01:35:53 Really? That's that cap. Yeah, that's all he wanted. Rude. Rood of Madonna. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Should we move it along? Let's move it along.
Starting point is 01:35:59 It's time for letters. Can we do some letters? We can do letters. After this. Miam, man, man. In the grave. Well, like in the grave. In Korea.
Starting point is 01:36:09 That's not, though. No, it's not. Because every now and then he'll make a good movie. That's what I'm saying. That's what they did back in the idea. Just let him. They just let him run, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:20 But surely, like, he's not passionate about In the Grey, right? Maybe he is. I don't think he is. Maybe he's like, God, this is so intriguing. Maybe he read the script. He's like, this is so intriguing. I wonder what Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill. He probably wrote it.
Starting point is 01:36:32 Yeah. This is so intriguing what I wrote. I'm also, like, you got a cast like that. Like, it's got Rosman Pike. What are you doing? You can't. Like, just put a little bit more effort in. Written by Guy Ritchie.
Starting point is 01:36:46 There you go. So intriguing. Anyway, letters, if you want to reach the show, hashtag, no, we don't do that anymore. Weekly Planetpot at gmail.com for an email or going to the planet broadcasting great mate. This $800,000 watch has a resonant system in it. What's that, man? Twin oscillators. Resident evil?
Starting point is 01:37:02 No, no, no, no, no. It's maintained precision with resonance. It's hard to say. It is hard to say. Maybe if F.P. Jean could email in and let us know. And why he's done this. Why have you done this? And give me a free one.
Starting point is 01:37:17 Maybe not this one. Maybe one of the cheap ones. No, that one. Send me a cheap one. If you're going to get a free one, ask for the $800,000. I should ask for the $800,000 on your eyes. And you know what? If you don't ask, you never know.
Starting point is 01:37:26 That's so true. No harm in asking. Okay. Yeah. Mason. Well, Philip, Philip, John, if you could email in. It's Philip with an F, then Philip with a P. All right.
Starting point is 01:37:36 Here's an email from John. John. Says Tom Cruise at the movies. Tom Cruise is at the movies. Dear Nick and James, for the last five years, whenever I see a movie at AMC, they play a video of Nicole Kidman standing in an AMC theatre talking about how great movies are. Of course.
Starting point is 01:37:49 My question is when Tom Cruise went to go see the impromptu showing of The Odyssey at midnight and all the employees sat with him for three hours, do you think they made him watch the Nicole Kidman ad or did they skip it? They absolutely skipped it. They would have had the movie lined up with no ads ready to go. They would have it ready to go and I would say there is probably... Somebody told them. Somebody told them and I would imagine there is any theatre that Tom Cruise has ever been at or
Starting point is 01:38:12 might ever go to and he's probably his publicist or his manager or whatever they probably have notes up that are like if tom if you know tom cruz is in the building don't run the ad tom just wants the movie also like it's not even just the nicole kittman thing yeah that's probably true i think he could look straight through nicole kittman he doesn't even see her anymore it's probably true honestly going clear if you will yeah absolutely and so i i think but i think tom cruz is just like tom cruise does not sit through ads yeah i think if tom cruise was doing one of his tom cruise runs down the street to get an ice cream or whatever. He wouldn't be getting an ice cream. No, he wouldn't. Absolutely. He'd be getting something.
Starting point is 01:38:46 Yeah. And then Nicole Kiddman was in his way. He would shove her without a second thought. Agreed. Like that. And he'd get that ice cream. You'd get that ice cream. Clear. Clear ice cream. Do you think he's eating clear ice cream? He's eating clear ice cream. He's got special ice cream. Okay. That was the question, wasn't it? Yeah, that's a good question. We don't know, obviously. That being said, I think if, I think if, I think if, I think if they accidentally played the ads, he would be there going like, ha ha ha ha. Yeah, I think he'd be fine with it.
Starting point is 01:39:15 This is so normal. This is so normal for me. Is this a normal experience? And everybody would, behind the scenes would be getting fired. Yeah. And his publicist would be like, and his manager would be like,
Starting point is 01:39:23 you've got to fire everybody who did this. He showed him ads. But he'd be like, ha ha ha, I'm loving this. I'm normal. I love it. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:39:29 I think you're right. I think it would be more of a flurry for the people around him than Tom Cruise himself, who has never been upset about anything. That's correct. Joe Mart says, does it feel like Comic-Con has lost the hype
Starting point is 01:39:39 after DC and Star Wars, and to a lesser extent Marvel spent the last decade over promising in events like this, I really get skeptical and cynical that all the hype is actually for real, is actually for real movies slash TV slash events. I mean, people aren't wooing with as much as enthusiasm as they used to.
Starting point is 01:39:54 I think that's certainly true. I think Comic-Con, it definitely dipped at one point, and it's probably also around through COVID, and there were like a bunch of people. We even did years where I think we barely covered it because there wasn't really anything worth talking about. Also, I think that, and I don't know if this is a wise idea or not,
Starting point is 01:40:09 the idea that so many of these companies have taken their stuff out of Comic-Con and they're like, well, we'll do our own separate events. Well, like, D.C. But I don't think people are watching the separate events, really. No. I think, yeah, like, I understand. We talked about it last week ago. James Gun's like, well, I can do a tweet and then everybody will see it.
Starting point is 01:40:25 But again, there is something about going on stage and... You don't get to... When he does a tweet, you don't get a collection of people looking at their phones wherever and going, woo! But you do that at Comic-Con. You've got a hall full of people being hyped. What happened to DC fandom? Exactly.
Starting point is 01:40:41 Yeah. I mean, that was a virtual event. It's also important, yeah, I said this, but to bring things to people. I think that is, you can't forget that that does have an impact. You know, like if you're actually showing things to people, that does resonate. Yeah. Reverberate? Both. Resonance. Resonance.
Starting point is 01:40:57 Yes. 800 grand. 800 grand. Mm-hmm. He's an email from Morgan. Morgan Stanley. Yes. I love your investment portfolios.
Starting point is 01:41:04 I love their investment portfolio. Paulios also. Hi James and Mesa. I was lucky enough to catch the Odyssey at the BFI IMAX in London this week. Oh, must be nice. The screening was sold out. We got a Dune, the Prelude before the movie. Oh, we didn't get that.
Starting point is 01:41:17 And the whole film looked incredible in 70 millimeters on the UK's largest screen. 70mm meters, that's not very big. A little screen, you idiots. Little screen. Stupid idiots. Or is that big in the UK? Is it? Buh.
Starting point is 01:41:28 Metric system. Dorks. That's not even as big as a fish or a chip. You idiots? You're dumb idiots Did you see Kyle Gordon Has a new song yet Did you see that?
Starting point is 01:41:39 Who's Kyle Gordon? He's the planet of the bass guy Oh, okay He's got a new song called Mr Jumbo Is it good? Yeah, it's fun It's like a riff on It's like a riff on Paul Simon Graceland
Starting point is 01:41:49 Like when he went to Africa And he's like, you know Just a white dude wandering around in Africa That sounds amazing But I just remember Because Kyle Gordon also had a song called Selecter where he's making fun of like UK Grime Oh come on Kyle
Starting point is 01:42:01 It's very funny The whole bit is just like UK rap sounds really funny if you're not from there. Oh, I love this guy. He's not even British, which is so hilarious. No, exactly, yeah. Yeah. But that song has like, it's got lines like,
Starting point is 01:42:15 you couldn't nick a hot pop pie off me now. Yeah, that's right. Blood off me. Blood off me trainers, no, I can't risk it. But, yeah, I enjoyed the movie overall and seeing big movie at the BFI made it feel like it was really part of a cinematic event. It's probably the most notable movie spectacular
Starting point is 01:42:33 or I've got to partake in. I did see Avengers' end game on release day with people hootin and hollering and drag all my friends to a Batman v. Superman Midnight release which was funny, but they don't come close to the atmosphere of the Odyssey. I wanted to ask you both, what has been the biggest of big movie events
Starting point is 01:42:46 that you have experienced in your lives? Oh my God. Have there been any screenings that you've come out of and really felt, damn, that was a bit of cinema history right there. God damn. I really like going to anything at the Aster in Melbourne
Starting point is 01:42:55 because it's a big screening of people who are going to see a movie because they love movies and they love the atmosphere of movies and it smells weird in there because the cinema's been around for a hundred years. I,
Starting point is 01:43:05 well, I recently went to the Rivoli screening of Moana Relative Action. Ribley's very nice. That's my local. I saw, I saw The Odyssey at 70s.
Starting point is 01:43:15 I love the Rivoli. It's like my favorite cinema. But Moana's was bad. Oh yeah, so, yeah, oh God, cinema history. Did I say the Da Vinci Code in cinemas?
Starting point is 01:43:26 I don't know if I did. I read the book. I did not like it. How was the atmosphere when we saw an end game? It was, we saw it an Iron Man. Yeah. We saw both Infinity War and Endgame Highmacks.
Starting point is 01:43:36 People fired up, yeah. Yeah, I remember being fired up. Yeah. Cinema history. Yeah. Yeah, God, good question. I don't know. But I felt after Blade Runner 2049, I was like, wow, that was incredible.
Starting point is 01:43:48 Yeah. Shame nobody's going to watch this. I don't know if I thought that at the time, but that was a real, like, I remember, like, seeing that was like, fuck, me. That was amazing. Yeah. God. I love movie. I love movie, too.
Starting point is 01:44:00 You know what? Star Wars, The Force Awakens, definitely had a lot. of buzz coming out of that. Yeah, for sure. Like in the room and afterwards, like people were very excited. Same with the Mandalorian and Groglet. People like, damn, it hasn't been to Star Wars in years. Groglet, Groglet, he's here.
Starting point is 01:44:15 Rotta the Huts, his own man. He's not his father. He's not his father. This is great. It's a good movie. This is a good movie and not a TV show. A lot of people don't think it's a TV show. They haven't tricked me into watching a TV show on a big screen. It's a question from Joe, though. How confident are you feeling in Avengers Doomsday and the future of Marvel? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:44:33 The pause says it all. I don't know. I guess so that means not very confident. I think even if there's a return to quality, I think that era is over. Yeah. I mean, it is astounding. It lasts as long as it did. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:46 I think it's, I think the future is a couple of good superhero, very good superhero movies a year, not like six or seven or eight a year, you know? Fine. Yeah. It'll be, it'll probably, it'll probably be, you know, one big Marvel movie and one big DC movie a year. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:03 I'd be happy with that. And then Roblox movies and Minecraft movie and Fortnite movie. And Mario. And Lego Mario's. And Lego Mario's. And Lego Mario's. Lego Mario Minecraft movie. Big movies for everybody.
Starting point is 01:45:18 Oh dear. Yeah. You got another one? Because I have one more. I'll find another one. But you can give us one more. Oh, no. This one's from Mitchell Hall.
Starting point is 01:45:25 Like the Jewel? What's the biggest deal or offer? Interviews, Collaboration, Brand Partnership, you've turned down. Is there any that you regret not doing? We should have done the Dracula on Toll Press. I don't think I've ever regretted. We turned down talking to Tarantino. Did we?
Starting point is 01:45:40 For hate for late. Well, I did. Did we? Yeah, I was like, I don't want to talk to him. Wow. It was like, you get five minutes. Oh, yeah, no, no, no, no. And I was like, I don't want to talk to him and what would I even do with that?
Starting point is 01:45:50 Yeah, I don't. So I don't regret it. Yeah, that I mean, if he was like, I want to come on your podcast for half an hour, I'd be like, sure. But I'm not going anywhere to do five awkward minutes. No, it's, our thing. The thing I don't do. Yeah, our experience is it's an entire day to get into a small room with someone and you get five minutes and they have done 20 to 30 interviews prior to you and you need, even if you had the best
Starting point is 01:46:18 question that no one's ever asked, they have five minutes to give you a full answer. And what are we going to be friends afterwards? Maybe. Maybe we could be friends. I'd like to think we're friends with Edgar Wright. Will you be friends with us Edgar Wright? Oh, that's what we could have said. We'd be friends with us, Edgar Wright.
Starting point is 01:46:33 And we don't have a gimmick. I have a Kevin Spacey story, Edgar Wright. Do you have a Kevin Spacey story? Yeah? Yeah, I could say that. Wow. In terms of brands, I had one. I told you about this relatively recently,
Starting point is 01:46:44 but it was to promote a certain country. And it was like... Did I know about this? I did tell you about this. And it was like, I don't know the money. Moldova? I can't say. Because I don't want to, if I ever have to go through there,
Starting point is 01:46:56 I don't want to be stopped. But, uh... Riyadh Comedy Festival? I can't say. I don't think you have told me this. And I was like, my response was because it came through the hosting platform. And I'm like, don't they have slaves? Like, I was one of those.
Starting point is 01:47:15 And sure, aren't we all living at this capitalism and slavery? Yeah, I bet you read that email on your iPhone. Yeah, so, but I was like, no, I don't want to do that. Yeah. So, yeah, I did it. Just so you know. Yeah. I'll bring it up and I'll fight it for you.
Starting point is 01:47:33 But yeah, again, I sometimes might have to fly through there or go there for some reason and I don't want to be shot. Yeah. There's an email from Jacob. Yeah. Last email. You're going to love this, James. Potential regional debate.
Starting point is 01:47:45 Hi, De Bois. Jacob from the USA here. I've got a potential regional dispute that I need an impartial ruling on. I grew up in Colorado. My wife grew up in Los Angeles. And when we were kids, we both played a game where if you're the first person to see a Volkswagen Beetle, you would get to punch your friend.
Starting point is 01:47:58 There we go. Where I grew up, we would say slug bar. And where she grew up, she would say punch buggy. Obviously, I'm biased and I think slug bug rolls off the tongue way better. Yuck. But I'm curious what you guys think. Slug bug rolls off the tongue better. Does, but we never say slug bug.
Starting point is 01:48:14 No, it's punch buggy. Do you think slug bug doesn't? Is it too sluggy? It's awful. I think it's yuck. Whereas punch buggy. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:22 Did people in Australia also play this? Or similar games that gave you an excuse to punch your friends. Absolutely. Yeah, all the time. Most of Australian culture is based around getting to. punch your friends. It's also the one where you make him look at a circle and then you punch them. Yeah. Yeah. It's true. Dacking, obviously. I know, I, you may not have noticed, but I did not look at that.
Starting point is 01:48:40 You did not. I did not. So power, so powerfully trying not to do that. I'm like, huh, huh. Yeah, it was punched by you in Australia. I found it the thing. I can show you off. Okay. Sorry, everybody. I hate it on podcasts. I can't really say. But I would be worried if I see. Yeah. Well, I mean, I'm sure most place most places do a pinch in a punch for the first day of the month. For sure, bro. Yeah. And others? Yeah. But I mean most, you know, obviously when they start Parliament for the day, every punch is the prime minister.
Starting point is 01:49:06 And he gets to punch one parliamentarian. Yeah. Only once, but he can do it as hard as he wants. It's cool. Or her. We don't like. Julia Gillard, got a fair share of punches in. We loved her for it.
Starting point is 01:49:15 Yeah, that's true. It's true. Yeah. I can't find the ad read. They've removed it. But anyway. But it said, we think we're cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:24 We think this would have, we think this country is cool. If I, if I, if I, guessing, this would have been in the tens of thousands, like, without a Okay, right. No, I don't, I couldn't. No, of course not. No. Should I ask you before I turn down these things? I probably should. Depending what it is.
Starting point is 01:49:41 Yeah, depending what it is. I would like to hear about it. Yeah, totally. That's unusual though. I don't get that. I mean, the answer would almost certainly be no most of the time. Yeah. I don't need the money. I have a good sense of like what, where you lie with things. I don't think it's bad for like, I think people would hate us and rightly so. And I don't want that.
Starting point is 01:49:58 I want to be loved no matter what I do. There's one more email from Gmail Dude. Gmail dudes. I think there's interesting. No one goes nuts over Shakespeare adaptations. Gmail Dude says, I'm no, I'm late to this debate,
Starting point is 01:50:09 but they're almost endless examples of adaptations of Shakespeare plays transformed into different time period, settings, genders and races, and no one goes insane like they are over Nolan's Odyssey. For example, Hamlet 20205 said in London starring Riz Ahmed.
Starting point is 01:50:21 I know about that one. But Hamlet's from Denmark and why does the whiteest snow cried no one. Or Denzo Washington is Macbeth, Macbeth, 2021. He was Macbeth? I'm mad. I'm mad.
Starting point is 01:50:29 it's also, it's the era we live in, it's the scale of the Odyssey. And it's the rage bait. And it's the rage bait. Economy that exists, yeah. People, people, yeah. I mean, which isn't to say that like, there's, there's also been a lot of, there's also been a lot of shapes. There's always been, there's always been outrages of everything, you know,
Starting point is 01:50:47 Star Trek and war on Christmas. War on Christmas and so on and so forth. But the, the, what are people going to do? They're going to send letters. There might be an article, opinion piece in a newspaper. Yeah. Or somebody calls in. to a radio station.
Starting point is 01:51:00 There was an infinite internet space to be mad about it. You can be mad forever. They can be mad forever. And we are, and we're going to be mad until at least 2042. I hope so. Mad and ripped,
Starting point is 01:51:10 weird vein. Yes. Just one weird vein running the length of our body. That's right. But what a vein. Just circling us like a snake. It's right. It's constricting our heads.
Starting point is 01:51:23 We're looking good though. We are going to be looking good. That hashtag looking good in 2042. Looking good. Feeling awful. Awful. Feeling awful. Feeling how we look.
Starting point is 01:51:36 Which is awful for real. Loaded, red, tight. Tight. Bloated, but yeah, bloated in all the wrong places, but all the right places. Weird, weird muscular turtle shell abs.
Starting point is 01:51:46 Yes. Yes. And they're like, did they get them installed? Are they fake abs? It's both. Yeah, it's right. That's right.

Starting point is 01:54:06 Something interesting. God, I want an excuse to eat all these rations. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. I've been hoarding them. They're not even rations anymore. No.

Starting point is 01:54:51 It's pretty crazy that we haven't had any leaks from this. They're probably has been. Sadie Sink playing. Maybe a sink. Yeah, I mean, she could probably do that easily. She could do it. She's talented. Young talented lady, she could do anything.
