                                         Canada's premiers are bracing for Donald Trump's return to the White House
                                         
    
                                         and his threat to impose tariffs on Canadian goods entering the US. As Tom Perry reports, the premiers of
                                         
                                         Alberta and Ontario are expressing different views on how Canada should
                                         
                                         respond. I think we need to be prepared that tariffs are coming. After meeting
                                         
                                         incoming US President Donald Trump over the weekend, Alberta Premier Danielle
                                         
                                         Smith says Trump's threat of tariffs is real.
                                         
                                         The federal government says all options are on the table for retaliation, but Smith says
                                         
                                         Alberta won't stand for any limits on shipments of its oil and gas to the U.S.
                                         
                                         They will have a national unity crisis on their hands at the same time as having a crisis
                                         
    
                                         with our U.S. trade partners.
                                         
                                         Ontario Premier Doug Ford says Canada must stand up for its interests and can't rule anything out.
                                         
                                         We have to use all the tools possible when our country's under attack.

                                         Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will meet with premiers this week to discuss just how far his government is prepared to go
                                         
                                         if Trump makes good on his threat.
