On Mother's Day 1985, Philadelphia did something unthinkable.
The city had been engaged in a standoff with a radical organization called MOVE.
The helicopter takes off, then...
The city dropped a bomb on MOVE's headquarters, killing 11 people, five of them children.
My daughters were taken away by this corrupt government!
Why is it so many have never heard of the MOVE bombing?
Black people will never get justice in America.

First to Washington where a newly released report
is showing that Donald Trump would have been convicted of election interference
Had he lost the november presidential election
The report by u.s. Special counsel jack smith was released early this morning
It accuses trump of using threats and encouragement of violence in an attempt to overturn the 2020 election results
And smith determines there is enough evidence for a conviction.
Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges and they were dropped following his November victory.
He has yet to formally announce that he's running for the leadership of the Liberal Party,
but former Bank of Canada and Bank of England Governor Mark Carney appeared last night on
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I think in a situation like this you need change.
You need to address the economy.
We've got an economic crisis because of what Mr. Trump is about to do,
or saying he's about to do.
But we also have challenges in housing, cost of living.
And Carney also made a point of mentioning conservative leader Pierre Poliev.
We have Mr. Poliev, type of politician who the type of politician who tends to be a lifelong politician.
Really?
Tend to worship the market.
They've never actually worked in the private sector.
Right.
Sources have told Radio Canada that Carney will formally launch his campaign on Thursday.
Meanwhile, it's expected Christia Freeland will announce her bid at some point ahead
of Donald Trump's inauguration, which is set for next Monday.
A CBC News investigation has determined that an Ontario businesswoman has been caught more
than 30 times charging illegal recruitment fees to foreign workers.
And it turns out she's still open for business.
Valerie Ouellette has the details.
John Keazal wishes he'd never met job recruiter Janet Mosquito.
In 2023, the then international student quit his program and paid her almost $3,000 to
secure a work permit.
She found him a job but never came through with the permit.
Then stopped replying.
His study permit expired and he can't work legally.
He's now living in a homeless shelter.
I can't even support my son.
CBC found Mosquito was caught by Ontario's Ministry of Labour for charging illegal recruitment fees
to foreign workers 35 other times. Each time she paid back the fee and went right back to business.
Under provincial law, repeat offenders like Mosquito can be charged and face jail time.
CBC asked the Ministry of Labour why they haven't pursued that option.
They did not answer, but said they will soon introduce tougher measures,
including naming and shaming dishonest immigration representatives.
CBC tried contacting Janet Mosquito several times, but they hung up.

As the LA wildfire emergency continues, the crews battling the flames are being assisted by a growing number of aircraft and ground personnel from across Canada.
John Hernandez reports.
Wildfire crews are calling it an air fight.
Helicopters carrying thousands of litres of water are among the most effective tools to tame the flames in
Southern California. The BC-based Colson Aviation is among the companies fighting the Eton and
Palisades fires and has been flying its large dual-rotor helicopters around the clock.
We've flown more hours at night.
Wayne Colson, its CEO, says they've made steady progress over the past two days clearing the way
for ground crews to set up containment lines. We are of course worried about the
wind kick up because you just never know. Canada's defense minister says dozens
of Canadian wildfire fighters have been deployed and more are on the way. The BC
wildfire service says 22 ground crew firefighters left Monday morning.
Alberta wildfire has sent an additional 40 wildland firefighters.
Two Quebec water bombers are already there.
Two more are expected to arrive on Wednesday.

Ottawa settled a class action lawsuit filed by members of the armed forces who experienced
racism while in uniform.
The settlement in total is worth more than $150 million.
The claimant served in the military anywhere from 1985 to 2024.
And that is The World This Hour.
