When a body is discovered 10 miles out to sea, it sparks a mind-blowing police investigation.
There's a man living in this address in the name of a deceased.
He's one of the most wanted men in the world.
This isn't really happening.
Officers are finding large sums of money.
It's a tale of murder, skullduggery and international intrigue.
So who really is he?
I'm Sam Mullins and this is Sea of Lies from CBC's Uncovered, available now.
From CBC News, the world this hour, I'm Julie-Anne Hazelwood.
Donald Trump hasn't announced his 25% tariff plan yet, but CBC News has learned some details
about what it includes.
A senior Canadian official says the plan will be released today, take effect on
Tuesday, and applies to 10%, applies a 10% tariff that is on Canadian energy
products. Caroline Bargout tells us more about what we've heard from Donald Trump
so far.
Yesterday, US President Donald Trump said the tariffs would be coming today and
would be set at 25% for Canada and Mexico.
But at this point, we haven't seen any official details, including whether any goods would
be exempt.
On Friday, Trump said Canadian oil and gas will face 10% tariffs in a couple of weeks
and said levies will be imposed on Canadian copper too, but not till later.
And that's not all.
Eventually, we're going to put tariffs on chips.
We're going to put tariffs on oil and gas.
That'll happen fairly soon.
I think around the 18th of February.
And we're going to put a lot of tariffs on steel.
For weeks, U.S. oil and automotive companies have lobbied President Trump for exemptions,
warning of higher prices and wide supply chain issues.
Canadian government officials have also done their best to lobby against the tariffs, but in Trump for exemptions, warning of higher prices and wide supply chain issues.
Canadian government officials have also done their best to lobby against the tariffs, but
it doesn't appear to have worked.

This is devastating news for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador, no doubt for the
people across the country.
That's Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
He says an approach of appeasement and capitulation is not the right response. He believes Canada must use every lever
it has to push back. It's not just an economic attack. I believe this to be
attack on Canadians and attack on their values, attack on our sovereignty and it's
it's a moment where we need to stand strong and united and face such an
assault. Federal government sources have told CBC News the Trump administration has said if retaliatory
tariffs are imposed, the tariffs will be raised.
Hamas freed three more hostages today as part of the hostages for prisoner deal in the Gaza
ceasefire agreement. Offer Kalduron hugs his four children, reassuring them he's fine after spending 484 days in
Hamas captivity.
Kalduron and two of his four children were kidnapped in Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel.
His two teenage children were released in late 2023 in the first deal between the two
sides. While in Gaza
crowds greeted freed Palestinian detainees. Some are carried on people's
shoulders while others hug and kiss their loved ones. Israel released 183
Palestinian prisoners and detainees today. So far Israel has released 583 Palestinian
prisoners and Hamas has freed 18 hostages. Last night Ukraine again came under heavy
bombardment. Officials say at least eight people died and 17 were injured when Russian
troops fired a barrage of missiles and explosive drones into the country. Dominic Velaitis reports.
of drones into the country. Dominic Vlaidis reports. The emergency services deal with the aftermath of last night's attack when a Russian missile
slammed into this apartment block in Poltava. Nearly 20 other apartment buildings and a
kindergarten were also damaged in the city, which is 120 kilometers or so from the Russian border.
Ukraine's Air Force says Russian forces launched 123 drones and more than 40 missiles during
last night's attack. One person was killed and four others wounded in Kharkiv, while
three police officers died in Sumi as they patrolled the
streets during the barrage, which Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky described as

Six Americans who were detained in Venezuela have been freed by the government of President
Nicolas Maduro. US President Donald Trump's envoy for special missions, Richard Grinnell, arranged the release
on a recent trip to Venezuela.
