When a body is discovered 10 miles out to sea, it sparks a mind-blowing police investigation.
There's a man living in this address in the name of a deceased.
He's one of the most wanted men in the world.
This isn't really happening.
Officers are finding large sums of money.
It's a tale of murder, skullduggery and international intrigue.
So who really is he?
I'm Sam Mullins and this is Sea of Lies from CBC's Uncovered, available now.
From CBC News, the world is ours.

The Republican U.S. House Speaker is praising Donald Trump's initiative to take over Gaza.
Mike Johnson says the idea is a bold and decisive action in pursuit of peace.
The president has proposed the US taking over the beleaguered territory, deporting Palestinians
and turning Gaza into what Trump calls the Riviera of the Middle East.
Sasha Petrosic is following reaction from Jerusalem. Gaza may be buffeted by winter winds today but it's the unexpected blast from
US President Donald Trump that has them in despair.
He should know that we will not leave our country.
Reaction was exactly the opposite on the streets of Jerusalem.
It's like too good to be true.
Welcoming Trump's idea to force some 2 million Palestinians from Gaza with US troops.
Maybe it will be replaced by western values as in businesses.
As for Hamas militants whose attack on Israel sparked the current conflict,
they say this US plan could lead to more violence.
It's also not expected to help keep the current
ceasefire going long enough to see all of Israel's hostages released.

Liberal leadership hopeful Mark Carney is laying out his plan to boost Canada's defense spending.
He says if he becomes prime minister, Canada will spend 2% of GDP by the end of 2030.
But he says he will not commit to an earlier date than that.
It's not just about setting a target between now and the end of the decade,
but it's also spending that money wisely and effectively.
And above all, as much as possible, potentially the majority of the increase in that money
spent here in Canada as opposed to the United States.
Carney says right now about 80% of Canada's defence spending goes to the U.S.
President Donald Trump is pushing for all NATO countries to commit to spend 5% of their
GDP on defence.
The vice president of the Philippines has been impeached by the
House of Representatives. Having been filed by more than one-third of the
membership of the House, is there any objection? The chair hears none. The
motion is approved. The House Speaker announces the results of the vote that
could lead to Sara Duterte's removal from office. She's the daughter of the
former strongman president Rodrigo Duterte.
She's been embroiled in a bitter political feud over a range of issues including death threats
she made against the president, his wife and the house speaker. Duterte now faces an impeachment
trial by the senate. In Nigeria at least 17 children have died in a fire at a school in the
northwest of the country.
The nighttime blaze trapped the children inside the school's study hole. Several others were
injured and are being treated at local health centers. The cause of the fire is unknown at this
point. An update now to a story we brought you last week. Two members of Canada's military police
have now been suspended. They're being investigated for misconduct.
A judge found they tampered with evidence and showed bias while investigating a sexual
assault case.
Nicole Williams has more.
Criminal defense lawyer Austin Corbett confirms his client has filed a conduct complaint against
military police.
The defendant, a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, charged with assaulting and sexually assaulting his ex-wife, a military reservist.
But his trial didn't happen. An Ontario Superior Court justice stayed the charges against him, saying police showed bias,
failed to keep proper records and withheld and destroyed evidence into the investigation against him.
Corbett says this only came to light during pretrial court proceedings.
The investigators who testified downplayed their misconduct.
The Canadian Forces Provo Marshal oversees military police in this country.
In a statement issued this week, she addressed the court's concerns about misconduct in the ranks.
She confirmed two of the officers involved have been suspended while an investigation
takes place.
