When a body is discovered 10 miles out to sea, it sparks a mind-blowing police investigation.
There's a man living in this address in the name of a deceased.
He's one of the most wanted men in the world.
This isn't really happening.
Officers are finding large sums of money.
It's a tale of murder, skullduggery and international intrigue.
So who really is he?
I'm Sam Mullins and this is Sea of Lies from CBC's Uncovered, available now.
From CBC News, the world this hour.
I'm Stephanie Scanderis.
A pair of intense winter storms has buried much of southern Ontario and Quebec in snow.
As Jennifer Youn reports, it could be weeks
before everything goes back to normal.
After a mild start to the winter, Marc-Antoine Dregois
was thrilled when he saw the snow finally
coming down in Montreal last week,
until he had to start digging out.
I've been living in Montreal for 15 years or so,
and I think it's the worst time that I've seen.
Two winter storms slammed into the city in five days and the snow isn't done yet.
Montreal spokesperson Philippe Sabourin says city workers are working hard to clean up,
but it'll take at least eight days.
We have 3,000 employees, 2,500 trucks on the road.
In Toronto, the cleanup could take three weeks, as city official Vincent Svratza.
It is an extremely time-consuming, slow process.
The prairies, too, are frozen solid under an extreme cold warning, while another storm
is hitting the Maritimes today.

The Ukrainian president is dismissing planned talks between the U.S. and Russia aimed at
ending the war in Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelensky says Kiev should be involved in any discussions about its future.
His comments come as the U.S. secretary of state arrives in Saudi Arabia.
Marco Rubio is there for the high-stakes talks between the U.S. and Russian officials.
The U.S.-Ukraine envoy, Keith Kellogg, says no one will impose a peace deal on Ukraine.
In Washington, protesters are angry about U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign to
reduce the federal government.
The demonstrators also want an investigation into Elon Musk, who has been cutting programs,
jobs and spending without answering to Congress.
Now he's trying to get access to internal revenue service files, including confidential
information about taxpayers.
This is one of several protests being held across the U.S. on Presidents Day.
While with the Liberal leadership campaign now into its final three weeks, the five remaining
candidates have just cleared a major financial hurdle.
David Thurton has the latest on the race to replace Justin Trudeau.
A show of patriotism during one of Mark Carney's campaign events.
The Liberal leadership candidate says he's feeling the momentum just weeks before the
party chooses its new leader and the country's next prime minister.
I find it very energizing and empowering.
I mean, it's a privilege to go across the country and talk with Canadians.
Over the last couple of weeks, the Carney campaign has raised more than $1.9 million,
enough to pay the steep $350,000 entrance fee that's due in full today.
At least one other campaign has struggled to fundraise.
It was a high fee, but we've got momentum across the country.
Karina Gould and the three other candidates have cleared the financial hurdle.
Now they turn their focus to selling their message and themselves.
David Thurton, CBC News, Ottawa.
The federal government and the Haida First Nation are resetting their relationship.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is there as the government recognizes Indigenous title
over the archipelago of
Haida Gwaii. The agreement affirms the Haida have an inherent legal right to
all of the island's lands and freshwater bodies. This is the first time the
Canadian government has recognized indigenous title through negotiations. In In Rome, Catholics pray for Pope Francis' health. A group carrying a cross gathers outside St. Peter's Basilica.
The Pope has been suffering from a respiratory infection for more than a week
and was admitted to hospital on Friday.
Doctors say the 88-year-old has a complex clinical situation and have changed his treatment.
The Pope's public appearances have been cancelled until at least the end of the month.
And that is Your World This Hour.
I'm Stephanie Scanderis.
