Starting point is 00:00:00 When a body is discovered 10 miles out to sea, it sparks a mind-blowing police investigation. There's a man living in this address in the name of a deceased. He's one of the most wanted men in the world. This isn't really happening. Officers are finding large sums of money. It's a tale of murder, skullduggery and international intrigue. So who really is he? I'm Sam Mullins and this is Sea of Lies from CBC's Uncovered.

Eight people are hurt, at least one critically, after a plane crash at Toronto Pearson International Airport. A Delta commuter flight from Minneapolis flipped over on a runway. Emergency crews are on scene. Thomas Dagla is on the breaking story. Cell phone video taken from the tarmac shows the Bombardier CRJ plane on the ground upside down
Starting point is 00:00:59 with damage visible on its rear underside. Several passengers are seen walking away on their own. Federal Transport Minister Anita Onan says all 80 passengers are accounted for, but paramedics say they've treated at least eight patients. This was a Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Toronto Pearson Airport. The jet had flown from Cleveland to Minneapolis earlier in the day and was scheduled to return
Starting point is 00:01:23 to Minneapolis in the evening, but clearly now that won't be possible. Air traffic control audio posted online described this as a crash landing. It's not clear what led to this, but pictures from the scene show snow on the ground with people nearby appearing to take cover from heavy wind. Thomas Daigle, CBC News, Mississauga, Ontario. Starting point is 00:01:52 says the cleanup efforts could take up to three weeks. Plowing snow on a one kilometer, one kilometer local residential road takes approximately five to ten minutes. And that's a vehicle traveling about 15 kilometers an hour. Snow removal on that same kilometer of road can take up to ten hours. Quebec is also dealing with its second major snowstorm in just a few days, and snow removal operations are struggling to keep up. In less than five days, almost 40% of all the snow we're usually getting in the winter. Montreal spokesperson Philippe Sabarin says nearly 50% of the sidewalks are still buried.
Starting point is 00:02:38 He's asking people to use public transit when they can and to avoid all non-essential travel. The Ukrainian president is dismissing planned talks between the U.S. and Russia aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Kiev should be involved in any discussions about its future. His comments come as the U.S. Secretary of State arrives in Saudi Arabia. Marco Rubio is there for these high-stakes talks between the US and Russian officials. The US Ukraine envoy, Keith Kellogg, says no one will impose a peace deal on Ukraine. The Pope's doctors say his infection is more complex than first thought. Francis has been

Starting point is 00:03:46 Vatican spokesperson Matteo Bruni said the 88-year-old Catholic leader is in good spirits, though Italians and tourists today express concern. We lit a candle for him yesterday in church before we travelled to Rome. I hope that he's getting really good care. We wish him a quick recovery so he can get back to leading the church. Knee problems have limited Francis' mobility and he's gained weight and suffered a couple of falls in recent months.
