In Scarborough, there's this fire behind our eyes.
A passion in our bellies.
It's in the hearts of our neighbors.
The eyes of our nurses.
And the hands of our doctors.
It's what makes Scarborough, Scarborough.
In our hospitals, we do more than anyone thought possible.
We've less than anyone could imagine.
But it's time to imagine what we can do with more.

From CBC News, it's the World This Hour.

Heading up an international delegation,
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Kyiv.
The visit comes as Ukraine marks the third year of its war against Russia and a new unstable
relationship with the United States.
Chris Brown reports.
Canada's Justin Trudeau arrived on the overnight train from Warsaw along with the leaders of
Spain and several of the Baltic nations. Canada is heading up the G7 this year and in
his news conference on Sunday, Ukraine's president Vladimir Zelensky said he
wanted to get Trudeau's insights on Donald Trump, presumably on how to handle
tense negotiations over the future of US assistance to Ukraine and also about
what Trump's plans for a peace deal with Russia
really are.
Trudeau's opening remarks here sounded like a rebuttal to some of Donald Trump's comments.
He said Russia is solely responsible for the war and without being specific, he said Canada
will be part of any post-war security guarantees for Ukraine.
Once a just peace is secured, Canada stands at the ready to work with our
partners around the world to provide Ukraine the security it needs for the peace to last.
Chris Brown, CBC News, Kyiv. Upon arriving in Kyiv, Prime Minister Trudeau announced
Canada would be delivering to Ukraine 25 additional infantry fighting vehicles and two armoured
combat support vehicles.
Germany has elected a new chancellor.
That is a happy Friedrich Merz, whose center-right party won the German general election with
29% support.
The country's far-right alternative for Germany came in second, followed by now
former Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his Social Democrats.
This is a bitter election result for the Social Democratic Party. This is also an electoral
defeat that I think has to be clearly stated after such a result.
Friedrich Mertz now launches coalition talks to establish the next German government.
Former Liberal MP Ruby Dalla is appealing her disqualification from the party's leadership
race.
That fight is taking place as the four remaining candidates go head-to-head in Montreal tonight
for the campaign's French-language debate.
Olivia Stavanovic has more.
The fact that they have disqualified me
clearly shows they did not want me on that debate stage. The race to replace
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau now tighter after the Liberal Party
disqualified former MP Ruby Della. It was actually through you know this the
CBC that I actually heard about about the decision of the Liberal Party. The
decision came down late Friday.
The Liberal Party found Dalla in breach of 10 violations involving election finances,
all of which Dalla denies, leaving four candidates who will debate one another tonight for the
first time.
You know, it was just over a month ago that I entered the race.
Mark Carney is heading on stage with the most caucus support and fundraising.
He will face off against former Liberal House leader Karina Gould, former Liberal MP and
Montreal businessman Frank Baylis, and former Deputy Prime Minister Christian Freeland.

With the Oscars approaching, the Screen Actors Guild Awards were handed out last night in
Los Angeles, and a movie about the selection of a new pope takes top prize.
The Vatican thriller Conclave wins for best film cast.
The movie stars Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini, Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow.
The win comes as a sign is perhaps that the field is open for Sunday's Best Picture Race
at the Oscars.
And that is The World This Hour.
