When a body is discovered 10 miles out to sea, it sparks a mind-blowing police investigation.
There's a man living in this address in the name of a deceased.
He's one of the most wanted men in the world.
This isn't really happening.
Officers are finding large sums of money.
It's a tale of murder, skullduggery and international intrigue.
So who really is he?
I'm Sam Mullins and this is Sea of Lies from CBC's Uncovered, available now.
From CBC News, the world this hour.

Police have opened an investigation into the deaths of Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman
and his wife.
Their bodies were found in their New Mexico home yesterday. As Steve Fudeman reports, the cause of their death is not clear.
The investigation goes on, but so far there are no definitive answers. Police say it appears
95-year-old Gene Hackman and his 64-year-old wife had been dead for several days. One of
the couple's three dogs was found dead in a bathroom closet
and there were also some pills found near the body of Hackman's wife, Santa Fe County Sheriff
Adan Mendoza. There was no obvious sign or indication of foul play. There was no immediate
sign of foul play. I haven't ruled that out yet. This is an investigation so we're keeping everything
on the table. You know I think the autopsy is going to tell us a lot.
Fire crews did look into the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning but initial
tests found no sign of the gas in the house. Steve Futterman for CBC News, Los Angeles.
It's a good thing that we found the remains. It's also very, very hard.
Jordan Myron is the cousin of Mercedes Myron. She and
Morgan Harris were murdered by a serial killer back in 2022. Police believe their bodies ended
up in a Winnipeg landfill. Yesterday, searchers found potential human remains. Melissa Robinson
is Morgan Harris's cousin. I was thinking back to when we were all told no.
When the Winnipeg police told us no.
You know, when the government, Heather Stephenson, told us no.
You know, that couldn't be done.
And that it wouldn't be done to hell with all you guys, because it got done.
It could take two weeks to identify the remains.
Four First Nations women were murdered in 2022 in what police called targeted attacks.
Ontario is reporting 78 new measles cases just in the last two weeks.
That brings the number of confirmed cases this year to 119,
and it surpasses the total number of infections for the previous 10 years.
18 children have been hospitalized, including one who required
intensive care. Measles is an extremely contagious virus, primarily infecting children and teens
who have not been vaccinated. An unvaccinated child died of measles this week in Texas.
Public safety minister David McGinty is in Washington today, promoting efforts by Canada
to fight fentanyl trafficking, his visit occurring as US President Donald Trump is doubling
down on his threats to impose sweeping tariffs next week.
Cameron McIntosh has the latest.
We can control what we can control.
Outside the White House, Public Safety Minister David McGinty insisting Canada is making its border more secure.
The evidence is irrefutable. The progress is being made. US President Donald Trump has tied a 25% tariff threat
on almost all Canadian imports to border security,
claiming fentanyl from Canada is killing thousands
of Americans.
About 1% of US fentanyl moves through Canada.
Along with the heads of the RCMP and Canada Border Services
Agency, McGinty is meeting with Trump administration
officials, highlighting recent seizures, including a month-long RCMP initiative that led to more
than 500 arrests.
Any tests that was put on this country on Canada in terms of showing progress and meeting
standards for the border, I believe those have been met.
Before McGinty even got to the White House, Trump posted the March 4th tariffs will go
ahead unless Canada can demonstrate it as, quote, stopped or seriously limited the flow of fentanyl.

Self-described misogynist and accused human trafficker Andrew Tate has landed in Florida
along with his brother Tristan.
The pair arrived on a private jet after Romanian prosecutors lifted their travel ban.
This is a democratic society.
It's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty as my brother and I are. after Romanian prosecutors lifted their travel ban. This is a democratic society.
It's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, as my brother and I are.
Tate called accusations against him lies and smears.
The podcasters and social media influencers are still under investigation in Romania for
human trafficking, sex with a minor, and money laundering.
They are British citizens and outspoken supporters of Donald Trump.
The release comes after months of diplomatic pressure from the White House.
And that is Your World This Hour.
