What does a mummified Egyptian child, the Parthenon marbles of Greece and an Irish
giant all have in common? They are all stuff the British stole. Maybe. Join me,
Mark Fennell, as I travel around the globe uncovering the shocking stories
of how some, let's call them ill-gotten, artifacts made it to faraway institutions.
Spoiler, it was probably the British. Don't miss a brand new season of Stuff the British Style.
Watch it free on CBC Gem.
From CBC News, it's the World This Hour.

Unless Canadian officials can orchestrate a last-minute reprieve,
it appears across-the-board
tariffs on Canadian products entering the United States will go into effect as of tomorrow.
But it is possible the size of those tariffs might still be negotiable.
Meghan Fitzpatrick has more now from Washington.
Last week, Trump wrote on his social media that he's not satisfied in terms of the measures
that Canada has taken to address his border concerns and that things were still on track to impose
the tariffs tomorrow.
Then yesterday, his Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick did an interview on Fox News, and
while he indicated that Trump still intends to impose the tariffs, he suggested the size
of them may not be 25%.
After all, Lutnick indicated that things have
improved somewhat at the border in terms of the illegal crossings, but he was indicating
the U.S. is still not satisfied on the fentanyl front. So this really could go down to the
wire today will be a crucial day for Canadian officials to try and convince Trump not to
follow through. But if he is intent on it, perhaps negotiating down from
the 25% or maybe carving out some exemptions.
Again, it's still pretty unclear what might happen.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is headed back to Ottawa after closing out his visit to Britain
with an audience with King Charles.
Trudeau was in London for a weekend European security summit. And going into his meeting with King Charles, Trudeau was in London for a weekend European security summit.
And going into his meeting with King Charles, Trudeau had said he would be
raising issues such as Canadian sovereignty. It's another day of protest
across Jerusalem with demonstrators taking to the streets, demanding that the
Israeli government move forward on the latest ceasefire proceedings with Hamas.
Sasha Petrusic has the latest. With the ceasefire in doubt, protesters fill the streets of Jerusalem, worried
that Israel's hard line against Hamas militants will restart war in Gaza.
Israel has blocked all aid deliveries to the territory, with Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu pressuring Hamas to accept a US proposal
that would see more hostages released and a continued pause in fighting.
Israel has accepted this plan, I accepted this plan, but so far Hamas has rejected it.
Hamas is pushing for a permanent end to the conflict,
as agreed in a ceasefire deal both sides signed six weeks ago, one that's
led to 33 hostages exchanged for almost 2,000 Palestinian detainees in Israel so far.

One person has been killed and three people are injured after a vehicle was driven into
a crowd today in the German city of Mannheim.
Police say a suspect is in custody but have yet to characterize the incident as an attack.
Images from the scene show the city's downtown area cordoned off with a heavy police presence
that includes multiple helicopters.
Now to this year's Academy Awards, which were handed out last night in Los Angeles.
Right across the board, it was the film, Anoraah that was the big winner. Eli Glasner reports.
While many had expected the Academy Awards to be a night of surprises, the Oscars played
out pretty much as expected with Anorah winning five out of six nominated categories, including
Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actress. Now that category, many expected Demi Moore to win for her role in The Substance, but
it was Mikey Madison who took home the Best Actress prize for playing the sex worker named
Anora.
It's quite the result for a small film with only a $4 million U.S. budget.
Samantha Kwan is the Canadian producer of Anora.
We made this with very little money, but all of our hearts to all of the dreamers and the
young filmmakers out there. Tell the stories you want to tell. Tell the stories that move
you. I promise you, you will never regret it.
Other big winners included Adrian Brody for his role in The Brutalist and Zoe Zadania
winning for her role as a lawyer in Amelia Perez.
