In Scarborough, there's this fire behind our eyes.
A passion in our bellies.
It's in the hearts of our neighbors.
The eyes of our nurses.
And the hands of our doctors.
It's what makes Scarborough, Scarborough.
In our hospitals, we do more than anyone thought possible.
We've less than anyone could imagine.
But it's time to imagine what we can do with more.

Canada is part of the so-called Coalition of the Willing, Western countries helping
Ukraine militarily and financially.
As Chris Reyes tells us, it's to fill a gap left by the US which has signalled it may
no longer provide security guarantees to Kiev.
President Trump has offered Putin the way forward to a lasting peace.
Now we must make this a reality.
So this is the moment to keep driving towards the outcome that we want to see.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke shortly after gathering dozens of world leaders, including
Prime Minister Mark Carney, for a virtual summit to bolster support for Ukraine amidst a US
proposed ceasefire deal.
During the UK-led meeting, Zelensky called on European allies to consider putting troops
in his country.
The contingent must be stationed on Ukrainian soil.
Zelensky also added that it's too early to talk about concessions in territory.
Earlier this week, President Putin said he's open to the Trump ceasefire proposal, but
has stopped short of backing it.
Putin has raised concerns about who would police the ceasefire.

acting on behalf of that country's government.
In Cuba, 10 million people have been waiting for the power to come back since Friday. Gas-powered generators are picking up some of the slack after the electrical
grid collapsed. Grocers are using some of that power to keep fresh food. It's the
latest in a series of blackouts to hit the island which is plagued with aging
infrastructure. Cuba is under several US trade embargoes and restrictions making
it difficult to bring in supplies for those repairs.
At least 32 people are dead following tornadoes and storms in the US South and Midwest which began on Friday.
Bad Cheramine lives in Tylertown, Mississippi. His friends who are staying in a camper are lucky to be alive.
We all left, we came to seek shelter and they unloaded their groceries and their camp flipped with them in it. They were trapped. I don't know
how long it took to get them out. By the time we got there, they had already had them out in
an ambulance. So I think she had a broken foot. Maybe he had some broken ribs. Homes and businesses
have been destroyed. The severe weather is expected to continue into the morning.
Alberta's the latest province to be hit with measles outbreaks,
first in a northern First Nation and now in this province's biggest city. Sam Sampson has more on
the spread and how it plays into other cases across Canada. Dr. Craig Jenney researches infectious
diseases at the University of Calgary. With the ease of travel and the fact that Calgary is a large transport hub, you know,
really was a matter of time.
Alberta Health Services announced late Friday night there's a confirmed measles case in
the Calgary area with potential exposures in Airdrie, a bedroom community of the prairie's
largest city.
But Alberta's first cases were up north in Little Red River Cree Nation.
Six people are recovering now with another potential case.
Saskatchewan has one confirmed case.
Manitoba has had six since February.
Five of those cases are related to an outbreak in Ontario,
the province with by far the most measles cases in Canada.
Measles is really one plane ride away.
Dr. Jared Bullard is professor and section head of pediatric infectious disease
at the University of Manitoba.
He says measles isn't an endemic in Canada right now.
It's not widespread, which is why he says vaccinations can keep it at bay.
