Canada's premiers are set to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney today for his first and possibly last First Ministers meeting, number one on the agenda, bolstering Canada's economy

With the federal election campaign just days away, Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to meet with Canada's premiers as a group. He says a key topic will be removing inter-provincial trade barriers. We want the skilled workers to be able, if they so decide, to immediately go to another part of Canada and work there without any red tape or hassle.

Arya, who was also denied from running for the leadership of the party, posted on X Thursday that the party informed him that his nomination to run in the writing of Nepean had been revoked. The party claims, in light of new information received by the Green Light Committee, the recommendation was made to revoke Aryeh's nomination. He had served the Neipian riding since 2015. Heathrow Airport has announced it will be closed all day today after losing its power due to a fire at a nearby electrical substation in West London last night. The fire also knocked out power to thousands of homes in the area. An estimated 1,350 flights were scheduled to land and take off from Heathrow today, impacting about 230,000 travellers. Some remote communities in northern Saskatchewan are using robots to deliver health care services. The technology is helping patients get care faster and avoid costly travel to major cities. Alexander Silberman reports.

In Saskatchewan's far north, on the border with the Northwest Territories, Daniel Powder is getting an ultrasound, a screening that typically requires a flight south. But today, he can stay right in his community of Stony Rapids. The ultrasound machine is robotic, controlled by a specialist who is 800 kilometers away in Saskatoon. Technology is going the wrong ways. Dr. Ivar Mendez leads the virtual health hub. It's using technology to let doctors remotely access isolated communities,
Starting point is 00:04:49 for everything from x-rays to wound care. I really believe that technology can narrow this gap of inequity in the delivery of health care.
