Starting point is 00:02:00 smuggling ring has unearthed a wider international network. It's linked to the deaths of nine people in 2023 on a US smuggling run. Two families, one from India, the other from Romania, drowned with a boatman in the St. Lawrence River. CBC's Jorge Barrera has been investigating will have his report next hour. Boxer George Foreman has passed away. His death was confirmed by his family in an online statement. The cause of death was not released. Foreman was a two-time world heavyweight championship. Vatican officials say that's because the Pope needs to learn how to speak again following weeks of high-flow oxygen therapy. Francis has been in hospital getting treated for double pneumonia. He's reportedly in stable condition and making small improvements in breathing and motion.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Elon Musk's Starlink satellite service isn't getting a good reception in getting a good reception in Italy. Negotiations with the Italian government have stalled. Defence Minister Guido Crozzetto says comments about and by Musk are partly to blame. Ontario has torn up its contract with Starlink, but it has managed to sign deals in India. The Trump administration is taking another step to crack down on immigration. It's revoking the temporary legal status for more than half a million people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. They are in the country on a Biden area program designed to reduce illegal migration to the U.S.
Starting point is 00:04:20 The Department of Homeland Security has declared the program has failed. 530,000 people have been told to leave within the next 30 days or risk arrest and deportation.
