Starting point is 00:00:00 In Scarborough, there's this fire behind our eyes. A passion in our bellies. It's in the hearts of our neighbors. The eyes of our nurses. And the hands of our doctors. It's what makes Scarborough, Scarborough. In our hospitals, we do more than anyone thought possible. We've less than anyone could imagine.
Starting point is 00:00:19 But it's time to imagine what we can do with more. Join Scarborough Health Network and together, we can turn grit into greatness. Donate at lovescarborough.ca. Voted against dental care. Even though this is a program that helps a lot of Quebecers, and a lot of them have registered for the program, but the Bloc voted against it.
Starting point is 00:00:42 So the Bloc has shown that they are a completely useless party in Quebec. They have not delivered anything for people. And we have shown that we can deliver that support. We did that with PharmaCare as well. We delivered for Quebecers. We have shown that with a clear record that we can not only talk about issues but actually make concrete gains for people's lives. So in terms of something new, I guess we'll see in the campaign. Oh yes, of course, we will be making proposals.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Now this is your third campaign, but looking at the numbers in the polls right now, this is a beginning where we're seeing something happening that only happened decades before. How can you convince Canadians that you are still the right person to lead the party and get your message across? Well, if you're afraid right now because of this trade war with Donald Trump's threats, if you're worried about your job, you think it may be at risk, if you're worried that the cost of living will go up, if you're afraid that the only solutions that you're going to hear from Mark Carney and Pierre Poilieves help the ultra-rich and don't help you and your family, well, we are your option. Because we have shown that every decision that we make is to help everyday Canadians. We're not working for the ultra-rich. We're not working for CEOs.
Starting point is 00:02:26 We're working for you. And during this election campaign, we will be showing that. That is NDP leader Jugg Meetsing launching his campaign in Ottawa. You are listening to Canada votes 2025. I'm Pia Chattopadhyay
Starting point is 00:02:41 along with Susan Bonner. Let's now go live to Montreal where Bloc Québécois leader E4 campaign in Ottawa. You are listening to Canada votes 2025. I'm Pia Chattopadhyay along with Susan Bonheur. Let's now go live to Montreal where Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet is launching his party's campaign. And now we are absolutely ready to take on this campaign. We're happy to see this begin. Now, this is a serious environment because the President of the United States against Canada and Mexico and all its trade partners is bringing in policies that to multiply the threats and are spreading fear. And he seems to be loving that. He seems to love to see that people
Starting point is 00:03:35 are afraid. And in addition to the trade issues, of course, we cannot forget about the license that he has given Israel to again bomb Gaza and the license that he seems to be giving to Russian dictators who are hitting at Ukraine. And people here in Quebec are afraid to lose their jobs, they're afraid to lose their business, and the owner of a dairy farm may be wondering today whether a new trade agreement, which I can't possibly call a free trade agreement at this time, with that agreement, whether he'll still be able to operate a dairy farm. So in this environment full of trade threats, obviously that will be at the centre of this
Starting point is 00:04:29 campaign. And the issue is about who. What are we going to talk about? Obviously we'll talk about the auto industry, oil from the West, and in the middle of this campaign, and I'm not sure that's been the case thus far, we will need to talk about Quebec companies, Quebec workers, seniors in Quebec, and those people will have to sense that in the context of a potential crisis.
