When they predict we'll fall, we rise to the challenge.
When they say we're not a country, we stand on guard.
This land taught us to be brave and caring, to protect our values, to leave no one behind.
Canada is on the line and it's time to vote as though our country depends on it.
Because like never before, it does.
I'm Jonathan Pedneau, co-leader of the Green Party of Canada.
This election, each vote makes a difference. Authorized by the Registeredleader of the Green Party of Canada, this election, each vote, makes

From CBC News, the world this hour.
I'm Neil Herland.
The funeral of Pope Francis will be held this Saturday at 10 a.m. in Vatican City.
That's 4 a.m. Eastern Time.
The leader of the Catholic Church died on Monday at the age of 88 from a stroke and
heart failure.
U.S. President Donald Trump will be among the world leaders attending.
Here at home, some Indigenous activists are hoping Pope Francis' successor will continue
his work of reconciliation.
During a visit to Canada almost three years ago,
the pope apologized for the harms done in residential schools
and called it a genocide. Sam Sampson has more.
I think he appreciate to hear what the stories are of the people of this land. Chief Tony Alexis of Alexis Nakotasu Nation stands on the edge of Lac Saint Anne,
exactly where
Pope Francis blessed the water during his 2022 visit, part of a historic change between
the Catholic Church and Indigenous communities.
While in Alberta, Pope Francis made the Church's first apology on Canadian soil for the abuse
Indigenous people suffered in Catholic-run residential schools.
He didn't come here to stand above us, he came to stand with us.
Later, Pope Francis declared what happened in residential schools
was a genocide,
and he rejected the Doctrine of Discovery,
a religious document that gives Christian explorers claim to land.
My hope is that the Catholic Church picks up the work of the progressive pope.
Anishinaabe author and University of Manitoba professor Negan Sinclair
says the Catholic Church needs to build on this momentum and do more, like release residential school records.
A call to action for whoever takes Pope Francis' place.
Sam Sampson, CBC News, Lac Saint Anne, Alberta.
Conservative leader Pierre Poliev will release his election platform today.
Both Liberal and NDP campaigns unveiled their platforms this past weekend.
In the final days of the federal election, the conservative leader is pushing to win
back support from a powerful voting bloc, seniors. Traditionally, a lot of conservative
support has come from seniors, but as Kate McKenna reports, public opinion polls now
show many seniors are looking to the liberals.
That might surprise you, but I have not decided.
Gail Brown says her vote is still up for grabs.
The Toronto senior says she's been paying close attention to the campaign.
Yesterday she heard Conservative leader Pierre Pauliev speak to the Canadian Association of Retired Persons.
Well, he's made quite a few mistakes.
And one of them is constantly shooting down the other party
and saying the same things over and over again.
In the final days of the race, Polyev is making his pitch to seniors.
He released a new ad targeting baby boomers and yesterday in Toronto he spoke to CARP members in a town hall.
Conservatives will preserve the age of retirement for CPP, O, and GIS at age 65. Period.
Polls show his rival, Liberal leader Mark Carney, is leading in senior support.
Seniors represent a powerful voting bloc, in part because they're a demographic that reliably shows up to vote.
Kate McKenna, CBC News, Mississauga, Ontario.
Now to Port Moody, BC.
The leader of Canada's NDP, Jagmeet Singh. The New
Democratic Party held its first campaign rally of this election last night.
Leader Jagmeet Singh has only been holding small gatherings unlike his
rivals. Singh spoke to the crowd about the cost of living. Over the Easter
weekend, families across Canada felt the squeeze. Food prices just saw their biggest jump in 50 years. Canada votes in
six days from now. Winnipeg hockey fans are cheering. Final score two to one the
Jets take a two to nothing series lead and finally get by the ghosts of
playoffs past.
The Winnipeg Jets beat the St. Louis Blues last night in the second game of their first
round series, but the Montreal Canadiens lost their first game last night against the Washington
Capitals, final score 3-2 in overtime, and the Edmonton Oilers also lost their first
playoff match to the Los Angeles Kings last night, final score
6-5.
And that is your World This Hour.
For CBC News, I'm Neal Hurlund.
