Fisherman John Coppock and his son Craig were hoping that their day on the water would finish with a good haul of cod.
Instead, they reeled in way more than they bargained for.
They had a net filled with fish and to their horror and surprise, the body of a man.
I'm Kathleen Goldthar and this week on Crime Story, a body in the ocean untangles a sea of lies.

From CBC News, it's the World This Hour.
I'm Joe Cummings.
We go first to Washington.
I really don't want cars from Canada.
So when I put tariffs on Canada, they're paying 25 percent,
but that could go up.
From the White House last night, that is US President Donald Trump
returning to a familiar theme and once again putting himself centre stage
in the Canadian election campaign.
And Liberal leader Mark Carney was quick to respond.
Tom Perry reports.
Who is ready?
Who is ready to stand up for Canada with me?
Mark Carney in Surrey, BC, on a day when Donald Trump barged back into Canadian politics.
The US president repeating his false claims about the U.S. subsidizing its northern neighbor
and his wish that Canada become America's 51st state.
As he made clear once again today in the Oval Office, once again today in the Oval Office,
President Trump, he is trying to break us so that America can own us. Trump had for the most part gone quiet on Canada, but his latest meanderings could fuel
the Liberals in the final days of this election.
Carney is in BC looking to win writings held by conservatives and New Democrats.
Tom Perry, CBC News, Surrey, BC.
A shooting at Toronto's Pearson International Airport is causing flight delays and traffic problems this morning.
Police confirm an adult male has been shot in what's being called a police-involved shooting.
Clara Pasika has more.
The police-involved shooting happened a little before seven this morning at Pearson International's Terminal 1.
Police tape is blocking off an exterior area with police placing markers
around a vehicle. Peel police confirm a man was
shot and an officer involved was not injured.
Police are calling the shooting an isolated
incident and say there are no known threats to
public safety. The province's special
investigations unit has been called in. There's
still a large police presence at the terminal.
More than a dozen police vehicles are still visible outside the departure level. Passengers and
vehicles are being rerouted to enter and exit through Terminal 1 arrivals. And Highway 409
to Pearson Terminal 1 has been shut down for the police investigation.

At least nine people were killed overnight in a series of Russian missile and drone strikes on Kyiv.
The assault coming as peace talks between Ukraine and Russia remain at an impasse.
Crystal Gamansing has the latest.
President Vladimir Zelensky says Russia hit Ukraine with nearly 70 missiles and roughly
150 drones.
Hours earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Russia
is ready to make a deal and called out the Ukrainian leader.
Yeah, I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelensky. So far it's been harder.
Ukraine refuses to concede illegally annexed territory to Moscow.
There's been a lot of talking between Trump's envoy and the Russians.
Fiona Hill was an adviser to President Trump during his first administration and says the Russian
president knows how to play Trump. Unfortunately an awful lot of people
know how to play Trump. People can play to his vanity, they can exploit his
desires for success. Zelensky, who is currently in South Africa gathering
support for his peace plan, says
he'll return home immediately and is calling for more air defence support from allies.

Canada will be represented at Saturday's funeral for Pope Francis by a delegation led by Governor-General
Mary Simon.
Cardinal Frank Leo, the Archbishop of Toronto, says all five Canadian cardinals will also attend, along with a number of bishops, and Manitoba Métis
Federation President David Chartrand. Chartrand led a delegation to the Vatican three years
ago that ultimately led to the Pope's visit to Canada to apologize for the Church's role
in the residential school system.
