Fisherman John Coppock and his son Craig were hoping that their day on the water would finish with a good haul of cod.
Instead, they reeled in way more than they bargained for.
They had a net filled with fish and to their horror and surprise, the body of a man.
I'm Kathleen Goldthar and this week on Crime Story, a body in the ocean untangles a sea of lies.

From CBC News, it's the world this hour.
I'm Joe Cummings.
A 30-year-old man has been shot and killed by police at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
Police say the shooting occurred early this morning as officers were responding to a man
reported to be in distress. Ethel Moussa has the details.
I just hear a couple loud bangs.
Danilo Simic says he was dropping off a friend at Toronto's Pearson Airport when he heard what sounded like gunshots.
He says he ducked in his car and as he drove away, he saw a man lying on the ground.
He's bleeding his torso is covered in blood.
His head is covered in blood as well.
Ontario's police watchdog, which investigates the conduct of officers in incidents resulting
in death or serious injury, say police were investigating a man in distress who was inside an SUV at Terminal 1 departures.
They say three police officers shot at the 30 year old. The watchdog says nine
investigators have now been assigned to the case. Officials at the airport say
traffic at Terminal 1 departures is being rerouted as police continue their
investigation.
It'll move to CBC News, Toronto.
We're learning more today that there was more to that first telephone conversation
Prime Minister Mark Carney had last month with US President Donald Trump.
Janice McGregor explains.
New reporting from our colleagues at Radio Canada is revealing more than we were previously told about Mark Carney's first phone call with Donald Trump, which came at the end of the
first week of the campaign.
Mark Carney initially told reporters that Trump had respected Canada in both his private and
his public comments that day.
But then Carney had paused.
He said he was tempted to add more, but he didn't. Sources now reveal that Trump
did bring up the idea of Canada becoming the 51st state, a moment described as not easy,
but that Carney apparently dealt with it by letting Trump speak and then saying the two leaders could
agree to disagree on that one. The prime minister's office now confirms to Radio Canada that Trump
did bring up the 51st state but denies that
Carney replied he'd agree to disagree.
After this tense start, the call was apparently, according to sources, still generally a positive
one lining up with what we were all led to believe at the time.

Pakistan has closed its airspace to all Indian aircraft.
As well, it suspended the peace accords, long recognized by the two countries.
The moves follow this week's shooting in Kashmir.
26 people were killed after four gunmen opened fire at a popular tourist destination.
New Delhi is calling the incident an act of cross-border terrorism,
but Islamabad is denying any involvement.
India, meanwhile, has closed its main land border crossing with Pakistan and has paused a water sharing treaty. At
least nine people were killed overnight in a Russian missile and drone attack on Kiev.
This assault coming as peace talks between Ukraine and Russia remain at an impasse.
Crystal Gamansing has the latest.
President Vladimir Zelensky says Russia hit Ukraine with nearly 70 missiles and roughly 150 drones.
Hours earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office
Russia is ready to make a deal and called out the Ukrainian leader.
I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelensky so far. It's been harder.
Ukraine refuses to concede illegally annexed territory to Moscow.
There's been a lot of talking between Trump's envoy and the Russians.
Fiona Hill was an adviser to President Trump during his first administration
and says the Russian president knows how to play Trump.
Unfortunately, an awful lot of people know how to play Trump.
People can play to his vanity.
They can exploit his desires for success.
Zelensky, who is currently in South Africa gathering support for his peace plan, says
he'll return home immediately and is calling for more air defense support from allies.
