You had a ton of debt and you're saying Credit Counseling Society helped with all of it? Yup! And now I can sleep better at night. Ha ha ha! Right on!

India blamed Pakistan for harbouring the militants that carried out the attack, an accusation that country denied. The escalating conflict perhaps spurring the United States to get involved.
Starting point is 00:01:20 I think for the US itself, the region of South Asia is of considerable strategic importance and significance. But just hours into the fragile truce tensions are rising again. Missiles spotted in the night sky over Kashmir. Pakistan has denied breaking the ceasefire. The two countries were expected to meet again on Monday but on a day where hostility was briefly replaced with hope, the two sides may already be back where they started. Starting point is 00:02:01 This comes after leaders of major European powers met in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Saturday in a show of unity. They were putting pressure on Moscow to sign up to a 30-day unconditional ceasefire starting Monday. Philip Lee Shanak reports. Standing next to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev's Medan Square, the leaders of France, Germany, Britain and Poland honour the fallen defenders of Ukraine. And they stood as a united front behind a plan to stop hostilities and begin peace talks. Ukraine is ready to move toward peace. Zelensky says the first step is for Russia to accept a ceasefire for at least 30 days
Starting point is 00:02:41 beginning Monday. Russia, as of now, is rejecting even that. Only one country started this illegal conflict, and that was Russia. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that many other countries, including Canada, support the plan. There must be that 30-day unconditional ceasefire.
Starting point is 00:02:58 In March, the United States proposed an immediate, limited 30-day truce, which Ukraine accepted, but the Kremlin had held out for better terms. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov downplayed chances of Russia agreeing to a ceasefire. Philip P. Shanok, CBC News, Toronto. In Geneva, negotiations between the U.S. and China to resolve a tariff dispute have ended for now. U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media that great
Starting point is 00:03:25 progress was made. The two countries have been in a tit-for-tat tax off. The US charging a 145% levy on Chinese products with Beijing responding with a 125% surcharge on American goods. While a major breakthrough isn't expected, there's hope the two sides can reduce those tariffs. Pope Leo has made his first foray into public. He ventured out of the Vatican to visit the shrine to the Virgin Mary. Leo also made a stop at St. Mary Major, known as Our Lady of Good Council, the burial place of Pope Francis to pay his respects
Starting point is 00:04:05 to his predecessor. In the NHL playoffs, the Edmonton Oilers weren't able to capture a 3-0 lead in the series tonight as the Las Vegas Golden Knights came away with a 4-3 win in Game 3. The Oilers now lead the series 2-1. There will be two other Canadian teams in action on Sunday. Toronto will play a game four against the Panthers in Florida. They lead that series 2-1. And Winnipeg will face the Stars in Dallas.
