Do you ever finish a true crime series and wish that you could know more?
It happens to me all the time. And that's what's driving my interviews on Crime Story.
Each week I'm lucky enough to sit down with the best storytellers and really dig into what it takes
to tell those stories. And this month our riches run deep. We have Keith Morrison, Amanda Knox,
and Bone Valley's Gilbert King.
I'm Kathleen Goldtahar.

The cabinet of Prime Minister Mark Carney is being sworn in.
I, Krista Freeland, do solemnly and sincerely promise and swear that I will truly...
At Rideau Hall, that's a familiar name returning to the front bench. Freeland is one of 28
cabinet ministers selected by Carney. And while she is among a number of veteran members, a significant portion of this cabinet
is made up of new faces.
Janice McGregor reports.
Well Mark Carney's first budget will be delivered by François-Philippe Champagne.
We have continuity in the finance minister's office.
Christopher Freeland remains the Minister of Transport and Internal Trade. And Stephen Gilbo also retains the Canadian identity and culture portfolio
that he was assigned earlier.
But for the most part, today's story is about
change.
There is a new housing minister,
Gregor Robertson, a new justice minister,
Sean Fraser.
The energy minister is now former
Carney advisor and Goldman Sachs CEO
Tim Hodgson.
There is a new health minister,
whose former PMO senior staff Marjorie Michel.
She was elected in Justin Trudeau's former seat in Montreal.
Janice McGregor, CBC News, Ottawa.
Parliament sits in two weeks with King Charles delivering the throne speech on May 27th.
Honda has announced it is postponing a large-scale investment project here in Canada.
Just last year, the automaker announced plans to build an electric vehicle supply chain
in Ontario.
It's a multi-billion dollar project drafted with the support of the Ontario and federal
governments.
However, in the company's latest fiscal report, it's saying growth in the EV market has slowed
more than initially expected. And it's also expecting profits to fall this fiscal year due to the U.S. tariffs on vehicles
made in Canada.
Donald Trump's three-country visit to the Middle East is underway with the U.S. president
landing today in Saudi Arabia.
And while these presidential tours traditionally focus on regional security and diplomacy,
this one is all about business.
Here's Chris Brown.
Donald Trump's visit here feels like an enormous trade fair as he's bringing along top U.S.
business leaders such as Elon Musk.
And the Saudis are rolling out all of their showcase business projects that are part of
the country's so-called 2030 project.
It's an immense effort to reposition one of the world's top oil producers
as a more diverse economy, and also to transform it
into a more moderate Muslim nation rather than the ultra conservative society that it's been.
I'm at the US-Saudi investment forum where we just heard US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant,
the opening act for Trump, if you will,
in between the lavish welcoming ceremonies, state dinners, and other fancy gatherings,
and of course, deal signing events.
The Saudis want not just US capital, but also US know-how, and its leaders have held out
the prospect of up to a trillion dollars worth of business that could come out of this visit.

Now to Vladimir Zelensky.
That is the Ukrainian president saying he will be in Turkey on Thursday, waiting for
a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Zelensky is hoping to secure a 30-day ceasefire if Putin meets him face to face in Istanbul.
Zelensky has also invited President Donald Trump
to join that meeting,
but his attendance has not been confirmed.
A spokesperson for the Kremlin says Russia is prepared
for substantive talks,
but will not say if Putin plans to attend.
French movie star Gerard Depardieu
has been found guilty of sexual assault.
The ruling came down today in a Paris court with the 76-year-old being given an 18-month
suspended sentence.
It means he will not do any jail time.
Depardieu was tried on two counts involving two women he worked with on a movie set four
years ago.
Depardieu is a towering figure in French cinema, starring in more than 200 films over his career,
including Green Card, The Last Metro, and Cyrano de Bergerac.
And that is The World This Hour.
