the earth's resources and marginalizes the poorest. Prime Minister Mark Carney is among

right into the pillar of the bridge, hitting the mass of the ship where there was a couple
of sailors on top of it.
The ship was on a multi-country tour scheduled to visit 22 ports in 15 countries.
The Brooklyn Bridge did not suffer major damage.
Canada now has a Minister of Artificial Intelligence. It's a new role but the
demands are already piling up. Catherine Tunney reports.
I, Evan Solomon, do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to...
Former broadcaster and newly elected Toronto Centre MP Evan Solomon was sworn
in earlier this week as the minister responsible for artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
So what does the job actually look like? There's no public mandate letters yet,
but the prime minister's office pointed CBC to the Liberal platform. It says a
Mark Carney government will be relentless in using AI to make government more efficient
and improve service delivery to Canadians.
Boye Ojo is a Canada research chair in governance and artificial intelligence at Carleton University.
He says that could look like AI power chat bots helping Canadians get basic information
from the government in any language they need at any hour of the day.
And in a way that is really, really comprehensive, even more comprehensive than what a human
agent at the other side may be able to provide.
The platform also calls for more Canada-owned and operated AI data centers and infrastructure.
