U.S. President Donald Trump says he will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin later
this morning and they'll discuss the ending of the war in Ukraine. Richard Madden is covering this story from Washington. According to President
Trump, he says the call is an attempt to quote stop the bloodbath of the war in
Ukraine, according to a social media post. And this high-stakes call between
the two leaders follows a weekend of failed peace talks in Turkey between
Russia and Ukraine. It was proposed by Russia's President Vladimir Putin,
who in the end was a no-show. So that move angered Western and Ukrainian delegations.
European leaders are urging Russia to accept the proposed 30-day ceasefire.
Trump says he'll also be speaking with Ukrainian President Zelensky as well as members of NATO
once his call with Putin wraps up. We'll see where this leads. The demands from the two sides are very far apart.
Russia's saying it will only sign a truce

The Panthers didn't just beat the Leafs in game seven, they annihilated them and
they did it in front of the Leafs fans at Scotiabank Arena. Florida won by a
final score of 6 to 1. Fans started booing the Leafs fans at Scotiabank Arena. Florida won by a final score of 6-1. Fans

Nick McCallan watched the game outside in Maple Leaf Square. He says he's starting to get used to the pain and frustration of losing in the playoffs
