Two staffers of the Israeli Embassy in Washington were shot and killed after leaving a fundraising event at the

Capital Jewish Museum Wednesday night. The single shooter, a 30-year-old man from Chicago, was later detained and arrested. Reporter Steve Futterman has the latest. The killings took place outside of Washington's Capitol Jewish Museum, where a cultural event was taking place. Washington Police Chief Pamela Smith. Prior to the shooting, the suspect was observed pacing back and forth outside of the museum. The motive for the shooting may have been the ongoing disputes in the Middle East. The suspect chanted, free, free Palestine while in custody. The two people killed were a couple.
