For the first time in either one of his two terms in office, US President Donald Trump
is openly criticizing Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It comes as Russia launched an unprecedented aerial assault on Ukraine over the weekend.
Dominic Volodya says more.
We're in the middle of talking and he's shooting rockets into Kiev and other cities.
I don't like it at all. US President Donald Trump's patience, it seems, is growing thin with Russia's Vladimir Putin
following this weekend's uptick in violence in Ukraine.
I don't know what the hell happened to Putin.
I've known him a long time, always gotten along with him.
But he's sending rockets into cities and killing people.
And I don't like it at all.
Trump told reporters he was now seriously considering hitting Russia with more sanctions
and later on True Social he doubled down saying Putin had gone absolutely crazy and warned
that any attempt to conquer all of Ukraine would lead to Russia's downfall.
Last night Russia attacked Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles for the third night
in a row.
Just the day after, Moscow launched its biggest aerial attack of the war so far, killing at
least 12 people.

Now to Gaza, where health officials say more than 50 people have been killed overnight
in an Israeli airstrike.
That's emergency workers pulling people out of the rubble of a school.
It had been used, was being used as a shelter.
And it's being reported that more than 30 people were killed in the facility while they
slept.

Hundreds of people in the Central Ontario community of Walkerton took part in a vigil
last night for a high school teacher and four students
killed on Friday in a crash near London, Ontario. Philip Lee Schanek reports.
They stood, listened and hugged, remembering their friends. Rowan McLeod had big plans
for life. She always wanted to be a mom. And Cadence Ford was sweet and bubbly and lit
up the room when she walked in. Fifteen-year-old Keegan Padfield says even though they were older, the girls made time for him.
They're all really kind and when I first started out in grade 9, they were all really supportive.
On their way home from a softball tournament in Dorchester, Ontario, their SUV collided with a transport truck.
Ontario Provincial Police say the students and their 33-year-old coach, Matt Eckert, were killed.
