The federal and provincial governments have announced they will be matching all Red Cross
donations to those affected by wildfires burning in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Dozens of out-of-control wildfires have forced more than 30,000 people from their homes across
both provinces.
And while the fires burn, emergency officials and evacuees alike are eager to get a sense
of the scale of the damage so far. Cameron McIntosh reports from Prince Albert.
Pumping water for the firefight at the village of Dener Beach, crews saw winds
from Saskatchewan's Wolf Fire kick the lake up.
Doorbell footage shows black smoke engulfing buildings as the fire blew in.
Staying at a hotel in Prince Albert, Patsy Janay knows her brother's home is gone.
She's not certain about hers, not far away.
I pray that I'll go home to a home.
A community of 700, full damage, is yet to be assessed.
Fires also surround nearby Creighton and Flynn Flawn, Manitoba.
Across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta,
about 35,000 people in total are out of their homes.
In La Ronge, Saskatchewan, helicopters bombed
the downtown with water.
Two businesses were lost, but the flames were pushed back.

Canadian steel company executives and union officials are in Ottawa today looking to convince
the federal government to respond to U.S. President Donald Trump's latest tariff hike.
Along with Ontario Premier Doug Ford, they want Ottawa to implement matching tariffs
in retaliation to the Trump
move this week that doubles U.S. tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum.
As it stands now, American Prime Minister, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is insisting
his government will be taking time to craft a response while it continues to hold talks
with the Trump White House.
The Israeli military has recovered the bodies of Canadian Judy Weinstein Hagge and her husband
Gadi.
The couple was among the victims of the Hamas attacks of October 7th and their remains were
secured last night in Gaza following a special operation carried out by the IDF.
Crystal Gmancing has more now from Jerusalem.
The recovery and return of the remains of Gath Haggi and Judy Weinstein Haggi breaking
across Israel.
Members of their kibbutz near Oz, near the border with Gaza, shared a heartfelt statement,
remembering Judy as a poet, a creative spirit, and a woman deeply committed to peace and coexistence.
The couple was killed on their kibbutz.
They were taking a walk the morning Hamas and its affiliates stormed the border on October
7th in a murderous rampage.
She called for help after her husband was shot. Their remains recovered after more than 600 days in Gaza during a special military operation,
according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

U.S. President Trump is bringing back a controversial immigration policy from his first term.
Like before, it's a travel ban, but this time it's aimed at
citizens from 12 countries including Afghanistan, Haiti, Iran, and Yemen.
We will not allow people to enter our country who wish to do us harm and nothing
will stop us from keeping America safe.
Trump is linking the new ban to Sunday's terror attack in Boulder, Colorado,
saying it underscores the dangers posed by visitors who overstay their visas.
The suspect, though, in that attack is from Egypt, a country that's not on Trump's restricted
list.
The Empton Oilers have taken Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final last night in Edmonton.
The Oilers beat the Florida Panthers 4-3 in overtime.
Edmonton forward Leon Dreisaitl with the game winner, and he says while it's great to be the hero there's still work to do.
Yeah it's a special feeling. It's great for right now but we got to look ahead
and get ready for game two.
Game two is set for tomorrow night again in Edmonton.
