The ocean is vast, beautiful, and lawless.
I'm Ian Urbina back with an all new season of The Outlaw Ocean.
The stories we bring you this season are literally life or death.
We look into the shocking prevalence of forced labor, mine boggling overfishing, migrants
hunted and captured.
The Outlaw Ocean takes you where others won't.

For the first time since the Trump tariffs were rolled out, we're getting some details
on the damage done to the Canadian economy.
And many analysts are saying it's worse than they expected.
Statistics Canada says exports to the United States are down by 26 percent this year, with
the biggest drop being in automotive parts, consumer goods and energy.
Overall, it pushed our trade deficit in April to $7 billion, which is an all-time high.
Meanwhile, Canadian steel company executives and union officials are in Ottawa today looking
to convince the federal government to respond to President Trump's latest tariff hike.
They want Ottawa to implement matching tariffs in retaliation to the Trump move this week
that doubles American
tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum.
As it stands now, Prime Minister Mark Carney is insisting his government will take time
to craft a response while it continues to hold talks with the Trump White House.
The Israeli military has recovered the bodies of Canadian Judy Weinstein Hagge and her husband
Gadi.
The couple was among the victims of the Hamas attacks of October 7th, and their remains
were secured last night in Gaza following a special operation carried out by the IDF.
Crystal Gmancing has more now from Jerusalem.
The recovery and return of the remains of Gav Hagge and Judy Weinstein Hagge breaking
across Israel.
Members of their kibbutz near Oz, near the border with Gaza, shared a heartfelt statement,
remembering Judy as a poet, a creative spirit and a woman deeply committed to peace and
coexistence.
The couple was killed on their kibbutz.
They were taking a walk the morning Hamas and its affiliates stormed the border on October
7th in a murderous rampage.
She called for help after her husband was shot.
Their remains recovered after more than 600 days in Gaza during a special military operation, according
to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Calling in an issue of national security, the Trump White House has announced a travel
ban on 12 countries.
It means as of Monday, their citizens won't be allowed to enter the United States.
Anna Cunningham has the details.
There are millions and millions of these illegals
who should not be in our country.
US President Donald Trump and his supporters argue
this move is common sense.
Afghanistan, Myanmar, Haiti, Iran are on the list.
As are Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Another seven countries – Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela –
face a partial ban, with no entry on student business or tourism visas.
It will disproportionately impact brown and black migrants,
says Robin Barnett, senior director for refugee
advocacy at Human Rights First.
These countries are places that people are fleeing due to conflict.
There are a few exceptions, including athletes traveling for major sporting events in the US.

The Edmonton Oilers beat the Florida Panthers last night to take game one in
this year's Stanley Cup final.
We have faith in this team. They're going to bring it home. I know it.
It's very electrifying and we hope to bring this momentum into the next game.
It's only a matter of time until we get to four. Oilers in four.
That's the Edmonton Faithful celebrating the Oilers' 4-3 overtime win over the Florida Panthers.
Leon Dreisaitl scored the game winner.
Game two in this best of seven cup final is set for tomorrow, again in Edmonton.
And that is the World This Hour.
