Senator Peter Beame, Canada's former G7 Deputy Minister, says from his experience, managing Trump can be done. It's not like everyone is close to fisticuffs or anything.
Starting point is 00:01:40 It's a very cordial atmosphere and you can agree to disagree. Expectations are the summit will produce a series of action statements on issues where the countries can agree. The war in Ukraine will be discussed but it's the escalating attacks between Israel and Iran now high on the agenda. Murray Brewster, CBC News, Banff, Alberta. Israeli officials are reporting at least four people are dead after an Iranian missile strike in the city of Bat Yam. Emergency crews are digging through the wreckage looking for victims and survivors. Meantime, Iran says some oil depots have been damaged by Israeli airstrikes. Saturday in Washington, the U.S. president presided over a display of American military might. The U.S. Army's 250th anniversary parade featured 7,000 troops, 150 vehicles and 50 aircraft. The cheers were deafening inside a Fort Lauderdale bar as the Edmonton Oilers took on the Florida Panthers. But the crowd was all about the hometown team, which crushed the Oilers 5-2. The bar is deep in Panthers territory, not far from the arena where the team plays. But fans here, like Carolina Del Campo, still hold the Oilers in high regard. I mean I personally think that the Oilers are better than last year and Hunter McDavid is crazy. Every time he goes down the ice I'm like oh my god.

Officials say a wildfire near Squamish, BC is now classified as being held after help from cool, cloudy weather. The BC wildfire service says the blaze is expected to remain within its current perimeter based on fuel, weather and resource availability.
