I'm Joshua Jackson, and I'm returning for the Audible original series,
Oracle, Season 3, Murder at the Grandview.
Six forty-somethings took a boat out a few days ago.
One of them was found dead.
The hotel, the island, something wasn't right about it.
Psychic agent Nate Russo is back on the case,
and you know when Nate's killer instincts are required,
anything's possible.
This world's gonna eat you alive.
Listen to Oracle Season 3, Murder at the Grandview,
now on Audible.
From CBC News, the world this hour,
I'm Gina Louise Phillips.
Israel and Iran exchanged missile attacks
for a third straight day. At least 10 Israelis were killed and dozens more were injured in overnight
attacks. At least seven of them in Bat Yam near Tel Aviv. While in Tehran,
explosions were heard overnight and today the Washington-based group, Human Rights Activists,
says at least 406 people have been killed in Iran since the conflict began last Thursday.
Neither side is showing a willingness to ramp down the violence.
That conflict, along with the war in Ukraine, will be topics of discussion at the G7 meeting
in Cananascus, Alberta, along with economic issues.
The summit gets underway
this evening. But as Rosemary Barton tells us, few are expecting consensus on anything.
This is Mark Carney's first G7 as prime minister. He's attended in other roles in the past
and they don't even believe they can get a joint statement, a consensus on anything.
And certainly the conflict in the Middle East won't be one of those issues. It's not even
officially on the agenda, but it is going to come up given the ongoing strikes
between Israel and Iran.
And it's definitely an area where G7 leaders are not quite on the same page.
Leaders obviously continue to say Israel has the right to defend itself, but there are
nations like Canada, for instance, calling for restraint.
Worth remembering here too that Canada, the UK and France recently called on Israel
to stop its military expansion into Gaza and allow in more aid.
So that complicates matters as well.
There were set to be talks between Iran and the United States today to talk about nuclear
development.
Those have been called off.
So this is a crisis that could certainly derail progress at the G7 on some of the areas up
for discussion.

We want to get this guy.
That's Minnesota's Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar talking about the search for suspect
Vance Luther Bolter.
Police say he disguised himself as a police officer and shot two state legislators and
their spouses yesterday.
Former House Speaker Melissa Hordman and her husband were killed.
State Senator John Hoffman and his wife were wounded and are now in hospital.
A manifesto was found in Bolter's vehicle.
It had a long list of targets, including politicians, abortion advocates and others.
Klobuchar calls on all politicians to condemn political violence.
People know that elected officials get threats, a lot of them you never hear about.
Judges, election workers, this has gotten totally out of hand.
In 2016, there were like 1700 of them.
Last year, over 9000 of them.
Police initially thought Bolter was in the area of the two shootings, but have now expanded
their search.
The FBI is offering
a $50,000 reward and Klobuchar says extra security has been provided to her and other
Minnesota leaders. Two people were killed and more than 30 were injured when a bridge
collapsed in Pune in western India. A large group of tourists were on the bridge at the
time. Some victims were swept down the river below. Thousands gathered in Barcelona's city centre today,
protesting tourism and its impact on local communities.
Thoughts so guillies, meaties on meaties, thoughts so guillies.
Activists argue tourism is driving up housing costs
as more homes and apartments turn into short-term rentals,
and they say it's degrading the environment and eroding local culture.
Protesters taped off hotel entrances, set off smoke bombs near luxury stores, and squirted
water pistols at shops and hotels.
The demonstrations are part of a coordinated series of protests across southern Europe. Cup Finals.
Halifax native Brad Marchand scored his second goal of the game, helping the Florida Panthers
beat the Oilers 5-2.
That puts the Panthers up three games to two.
Game six will be played back in Sunrise, Florida on Tuesday.
And that's The World This Hour.
