From CBC News, the world this hour, I'm Gina Louise Phillips.
For a third straight day, Iran and Israel are firing missiles at each other.
The Washington-based group, Human Rights Activists, says at least 406
people have been killed in Iran since the conflict began last Thursday. And at least
10 people were killed overnight when Iranian missiles got by Israel's Iron Dome air defense
system. Crystal Guamansingh is at the site of one strike.
The neighborhood that I'm standing in, Bat Yam, has been heavily damaged in an Iranian
ballistic missile strike overnight.
61 buildings have been hit.
We're being told that 10 of the buildings in this area have been destroyed.
This neighborhood was just one of many along the coast that was hit overnight.
Israeli officials with the military took the unprecedented step today
of issuing an evacuation warning for people in Iran who
happen to live by weapons manufacturing locations or any military sites.
Throughout the day, Israel has continued to strike locations inside Iran.
We have seen images of oil refineries burning.
There's also reports from Iranian state media that a military headquarters was struck in Tehran.

World leaders are heading to Cananaskis, Alberta today for the G7 summit,
where global trade and international peace and security are expected to top the agenda
at a time when both are in turmoil. Karina Roman has more.
The stakes are high for Canada.
Prime Minister Mark Carney playing host amidst a global trade war instigated by US President
Donald Trump, the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the conflict in Gaza, and now
Iran and Israel exchanging missiles.
Carney has already tried to temper expectations.
There will be no overall joint communique
and hopes have dimmed for a trade and security deal
between Canada and the U.S. coming out of this summit.
Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc says
it's unpredictable.
All of a sudden this can start moving in a way
that perhaps we didn't see.
So if on Sunday it looks like there's no agreement, Monday night can suddenly be an agreement.
And if we think we made progress two weeks ago, well two weeks later we haven't got the
agreement we want.
Carney is expected to have a bilateral meeting with Trump early Monday morning before the
Maine G7 leader talks.
Carina Roman, CBC News, Banff, Alberta.
A group of Canadian premiers will meet with governors from the northeastern US in Boston tomorrow.
They want to strengthen cross-border ties and reduce the impact of US President Donald Trump's tariffs.
Maine Governor Janet Mills says her state exported $1.3 billion in goods to Canada just last year
and imported almost $5 billion in goods. She says the tariffs are causing real problems on both sides
of the border. We're very concerned about cross-border energy sources, electricity
sources. We're concerned about lumber traveling back and forth and seafood that
Canadians harvest and Maine fishermen harvest and that go to Canada to get
processed sometimes
and come back into the United States, you know, these are real problems when it comes
to putting tariffs on Canadian imports.
Mills says tourism is another issue.
Last year, roughly 800,000 Canadians visited Maine.
This year, those numbers are down significantly.
At least six people are dead after a bridge collapse plunging tourists into a river in Western India and dozens more swept away after a
bridge collapse over a river in Western India.
Eyewitnesses report a large group of tourists were on the bridge when it
collapsed. Dozens of people were rescued from the rushing river but many are
still missing. Local authorities say rescue operations are still underway.
The Montreal Grand Prix gets underway this hour, with Team Mercedes in the front row.
George Russell claimed the pole for a second year in a row, with teammate and reigning
four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen alongside.
The lone Canadian in the 20-car field, Montreal's Lance Stroll, starts 17th.
And that's the World This Hour.
