Starting point is 00:01:36 exchange of missiles with Israel, saying Tehran should have cut a deal to curb its nuclear program well before now. Marie Brewster, CBC News, Banff, Alberta. Iran's state broadcaster is the latest target of an Israeli airstrike. Iranian officials say four days of bombardment have already killed more than 200 people, and casualties are also rising in Israel. Trent Murray has the latest from Tel Aviv. Israel's military estimates that Iran has fired 350 ballistic missiles at Israel since

Homes and apartment blocks were hit in the port city of Haifa, as well as the eastern suburbs of Tel Aviv, where Israel's president, Isaac Herzog, inspected the damage. It's evil, pure evil in and of itself. Aimed at innocent civilians. Eight people were killed overnight in Israel, bringing the total number of casualties to 24 since the IDF launched its attacks on Iran on Friday. Israel's government says it's targeting the country's nuclear program to stop Tehran building a nuclear weapon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that Israeli forces are now in full control of

With most of Iran's missile attacks taking place after dark, Israelis are being asked once again to have a plan in place to reach their nearest shelter. Trent Murray for CBC News, Tel Aviv. Vance Belter, the man accused of shooting two lawmakers and their spouses in Minnesota, faces first-degree murder charges. The 57-year-old was arrested after what officials call the largest manhunt in the state's history. Political assassinations are rare.
Starting point is 00:03:15 They strike at the very core of our democracy. But the details of Belter's crime are even worse. Acting U.S. attorney Joe Thompson says the suspect researched his victims and stalked them. Belter allegedly impersonated a police officer and visited the homes of four lawmakers on Saturday. He is accused of fatally shooting one representative and her husband and injuring a state senator and his wife. The Justice Department says the federal charges Belter faces could lead to the death penalty.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Police in Ontario's Peel region west of Toronto have dismantled a criminal ring linked to the towing business. Eighteen suspects are facing almost a hundred charges related to extortion, fraud and firearms. Police say the Brampton-based gang extorted money from South Asian-operated businesses. The criminals also engaged in insurance fraud by staging collisions. Almost half of the suspects were out on bail at the time of their arrest. Police seized 18 tow trucks, four luxury cars, guns and other weapons and recovered several stolen vehicles. Canadians are getting free admission to all national parks, historic sites and marine conservation
