minister for Canada US trade appeared on American television this morning, saying he remains optimistic that a win-win deal can be reached, and pointing
out how the 35% tariff on some Canadian goods will hurt American consumers.

The automobile sector, again, 50% of the cars that a whole series of goods, the automobile sector again,
50% of the cars that we finish in Canada and sell to the United States are made up of American

What we've said to our American counterparts is how can we structure the right agreement
where we can both continue to supply one another in a reliable, cost-effective way that preserves jobs essential to the American

The UK government is cracking down on smugglers who use social media to offer illegal channel

Dame Diana Johnson is the British Crime and Policing Minister.
This is to go after the brazen tactics of organized criminal groups

to advertise and to say, if you pay a certain amount,
we'll provide you a safe journey over to the United Kingdom on a small boat.
This is going after those individuals.
More than 25,000 migrants have crossed the channel this year.
The new law will make online advertising for those crossings a criminal offence.
The sanctions will let authorities freeze profits and block access to UK banks.
The government says the bill will help break the criminal's

Health officials say dozens are still unaccounted for.
Ten people were rescued.

impressive end to a memorable World Championships. Devin Rue has more.
Canadian swimming superstar Summer Macintosh has put together one of the
greatest swimming meets in the history of the sport capping off an extraordinary week at the World Championships winning the 400 meter
individual medley and a championship record time she was in control from
