Welcome to the dudes club, a brotherhood supporting men's health and wellness.
Established in the Vancouver Downtown East Side in 2010, the dudes club is a community-based
organization that focuses on indigenous men's health, many of whom are struggling with
intergenerational trauma, addiction, poverty, homelessness, and chronic diseases.
The aim is to reduce isolation and loneliness, and for the men to regain a sense of pride
and purpose in their lives.
As a global health care company, Novo Nordisk is dedicated to driving change for a healthy world.
It's what we've been doing since 1923.
It also takes the strength and determination of the communities around us,
whether it's through disease awareness, fighting stigmas and loneliness,
education, or empowering people to become more active.
Novo Nordisk is supporting local changemakers because it takes more than medicine to live a healthy life.
Leave your armor at the door.

Donald Trump is threatening to hike tariffs on countries that continue to trade closely with Russia.
The U.S. President already made good on that threat today by announcing an additional 25% tariff on India.
It's part of an effort to pressure Russia into ending the war in Ukraine.
But there are signs he's now considering a more hands-on approach.
Peter Armstrong explains.
When Donald Trump was campaigning for president, he repeatedly said he'd end the war in Ukraine on day one.
He took office 199 days ago, and the fighting in Ukraine rages on.
Trump's envoy, Steve Whitkoff, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin Wednesday.
Both sides agreed the talks were constructive, but nothing concrete emerged.
The New York Times reported Trump told European leaders he intends to meet with Putin and Zelensky as soon as next week.
in the Oval Office, he was asked if those two leaders had agreed to that meeting.
It's a very good prospect that they will, and we haven't determined where,
but we had some very good talks with President Putin today.
And there's a very good chance that we could be ending the round, ending the end of that road.
But Trump says he's believed a breakthrough was imminent before, only to be disappointed,
and he admits he doesn't know if this time will be any different.

An army sergeant shot and wounded five soldiers at a base in Georgia.
Parts of Fort Stewart in southeast Georgia were locked down this morning after reports of an active shooter.
The fort is home to thousands of soldiers as well as their families.
John Lubis is the commanding general of Fort Stewart.
He says all five victims are in hospital.
Thankfully, all are in stable condition and all are expected to recover.
The alleged shooter is in custody.
We have reestablished security.
have lifted all lockdown measures on Fort Stewart, and there is currently no threat to the local
community. Officials say the shooter used his personal handgun and not a military-issued weapon.
His motivation is still unclear. About 400 homes are under an evacuation order in British Columbia.
The province has been seeing an increase in wildfire activity following summer storms that brought about
70,000 lightning strikes in the past week. Minister of Forests, Ravi Parmar, says there are
120 active wildfires across the province,
but they're putting their resources towards one in particular,
Wesley Ridge, near Cameron Lake on Vancouver Island.
This fire is burning on steep and challenging terrain,
and the BC Wildfire Service has deployed heavy equipment,
helicopters, air tankers, structure protection, and over 200 personnel.
He says there's some relief coming to parts of BC in the days ahead,
including cooler temperatures and some rainfall.
Newfoundland and Labrador is dealing with three wildfires across the province.
A fire near Kingston in Conception Bay North has doubled in size while two others are being held.
Premier John Hogan says the weather conditions are favorable.
The good news is that the fire has grown inland, which is away from the communities.
And we have no reports as of this morning of any further homes lost in that area.
And light winds today.
So there are favorable weather conditions today for continued suppression efforts on the southern flank.
Hogan also says the province is considering banning ATVs
and increasing fines for violating fire bans.
The Vancouver White Caps have signed a soccer superstar.
White Cups, let's make his team.
A promotional ad features Thomas Mueller.
He is known as an attacking midfielder who spent much of his career with Bayern Munich.
Mueller has amassed 13 Bundesliga titles,
two Champions League titles, and one FIFA World Cup trophy over his career.
In Montreal, this hour, Canadian tennis fans are holding their breath watching 18-year-old
Victoria Mbucco at the National Bank Open.
Mboko is only the third wildcard player ever to reach the Canadian semifinals.
She's currently battling ninth-seated Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan.
The winner will play in the final tomorrow.
And that is the world this hour.
