Welcome to the dudes club, a brotherhood supporting men's health and wellness.
Established in the Vancouver Downtown East Side in 2010, the dudes club is a community-based
organization that focuses on indigenous men's health, many of whom are struggling with
intergenerational trauma, addiction, poverty, homelessness, and chronic diseases.
The aim is to reduce isolation and loneliness, and for the men to regain a sense of pride
and purpose in their lives.
As a global health care company, Novo Nordisk is dedicated to driving change for a healthy world.
It's what we've been doing since 1923.
It also takes the strength and determination of the communities around us,
whether it's through disease awareness, fighting stigmas and loneliness,
education, or empowering people to become more active.
Novo Nordisk is supporting local changemakers because it takes more than medicine to live a healthy life.
Leave your armor at the door.

From CBC News, the world this hour.

Israel's plan to ramp up military action in Gaza is being discussed right now by the United
Nations Security Council.
Just ahead of that meeting, several European countries again urged Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu not to proceed.
Inside the council, senior UN official Miroslav Jankov had this warning.
If these plans are implemented, they will likely trigger another calamity in Gaza, reverberating across the region and causing further force displacements, killings and destruction, compounding the unbearable suffering of the population.
At the same time that they spoke, Netanyahu defended the plan, saying because Hamas won't lay down its arms, Israel must purge it from its last strongholds,
in Gaza. No nation can accept a genocidal terrorist organization, an organization committed to
its annihilation, a stone's thrill from its citizens. Our goal is not to occupy Gaza. Our goal is to
free Gaza, free it from Hamas terrorists. The war can end tomorrow if Gaza, or rather if Hamas,
lays down its arms and releases all the remaining hostages.
Netanyahu also claims that stories about starvation and gas up are all lies.
European leaders are rallying behind Ukraine, stressing that the path to peace cannot come without Kiev at the negotiating table.
The statement comes ahead of a meeting between the U.S. and Russia.
Dominic Volaitis has more from London.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is welcoming a joint statement calling for Kiev to be included in talks about its territorial future.
The announcement last night came from the leaders of Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Poland,
the European Union and Finland. In it, they welcomed US President Donald Trump's efforts
to try and end the war in Ukraine. But with Trump only planning to meet Russia's Vladimir Putin
in Alaska on Friday, European leaders insisted any peace talks must include Kiev and push back
on the idea it had to make territorial concessions to Russia in exchange for peace. The notion of some form
of territorial swapping between the countries was suggested by Trump on Friday, but swiftly
rejected by President Zelensky the very next day. According to U.S. media reports, the White
House is considering inviting Zelensky to Friday's summit, but for now it remains a purely
U.S. Russia affair. Dominic Philites for CBC News, London. Firefighters in Newfoundland and
Labrador are up against more dry and windy conditions. Three of out-of-control fires are burning in the
province. Now, yesterday, a regional state of emergency was issued for Bay DeVird Peninsula
in nearby Small Point Adams Cove, Blackhead, Broad Cove. There, nine homes were destroyed by
the Kingston Wildfire, and Curtis Delaney has lived there his entire life. I guess if there's
a bright light in all this, you know, there's no one was hurt. Everyone got out safely. You know,
as in most cases, in most communities and rural communities in this province, you know, people
stick together, you know, if we all stick together, we'll get through it. It's not an easy time.
I mean, I'm the same as everyone else. Lots of, I'm looking for a place to put my head in night.
Heat warnings are in place for parts of B.C.'s interior and Vancouver Island, as crews continue to
battle the Wesley Ridge Wildfire, some communities could see daytime highs of up to 35 degrees today and
tomorrow. The B.C. Wildfire Service says the hot, dry weather could intensify wildfire activity.
Fire information officer Madison Dahl says firefighters are also up against difficult terrain.
We are well-resourced and we work very closely with our partners as we have here.
The Wesley Ridge Wildfire is burning in different types of terrain.
Some parts are inaccessible for heavy equipment.
That's where we utilize ground crews and we depend on helicopter access.
Hundreds of people have been out of their homes for over a week.
And that is your world this hour for CBS.
